Nancy: I like your new pants!
Robin: Thanks, they were 50% off!
Nancy: I’d like them better if they were 100% off. *winks*
Robin: The store can’t just give away clothes for free.
Nancy: Thats’s… not what I meant.
Robin: That’s a terrible way to run a business, Nancy.

manifesting that ronance will have a slow burn romance and don't get together until the next season because their yearning is so powerful and passionate and painful

I think I also figured out why I don’t particularly like any of the fanon queer ships. And that is because they have the potential to be sooo interesting and complex. However the fandom just turns it into the most blandest things ever. There is no drama between any of the gang and there is no complexity in any of the ships that are created. Byler is reduced to Will having feelings and the suspicion that Mike also loves him back. And El is just reduced to being the emotional support for the ship even tho her and Will have a sibling bond and Mike was her first boyfriend/love. Ronance is just reduced to two women in love without actually seeing that there would be problems there. And Steve is just reduced to the emotional support for the ship when Nancy was his ex and hurt him (unintentionally or not). And Robin is his best friend so he would feel hurt over it. Steddie is just reduced to two men being in love and they immediately get over their jealousy over each other’s friendship with Dustin. And no one ever touches the fact that Steve and Eddie are different from each other. It just seems like everyone just takes away from the complexity of the ships dynamic. And it really just seems like people will put anyone together without actually thinking about the problems/challenges that dynamic may have. Also everyone’s reactions are all just dandy and fine and they’re the emotional support group of the ship. Everything’s all perfectly fine when it would change dynamics between the Party/group in general. Also it lately seems like everyone just puts them together and gets mad when canon doesn’t do it. Like y’all created a version of stranger things in your mind and then got mad that it wasn’t what you imagined even though it’s never actually been that at all. Like you can be annoyed at the duffer brothers for certain things but don’t get mad at the creators when you created your own version in your head and a show that’s been on for years, never fulfilled your desire for what it should be.

What about non canon wlw ships? What are your favorites?
Oh I'm really not big on non canon things, just because it takes me a lot to get invested anyway and I like to stick to canon when it comes to romantic feelings. I do tend to be fascinated by fandom's relationships with their crackships tho.
The only one that comes to mind that I could have shipped had it been canon is Supercorp. What a ride that was. They're basically the DC version of Korrasami and have so many of my favourite tropes but Supergirl as a show was soooo committed to not making them canon while also throwing all the subtext at it. Fascinating.
Depending on how we view the question, I don't think the way I ship Pezberry counts but I suppose they're my favourite non canon wlw ship, if I can have my cake and eat it as I'm also happy about the actual Brittana canon lol. Ah well this one's complicated so let's just stick with Supercorp.
There are female dynamics I really really dig, most recently Nancy and Robin in s4 of Stranger Things but I don't think of these relationships in terms of "wow I want them to be a canon couple" as much as I just enjoy interactions and want them to have a solid journey together. I think we need more female friendships as well as more wlw ships tbh. And all due respect, genuinely, but I tend to ship friendships more than anything and I don't always get the need to want couples instead of just general strong dynamics. But wow I'm getting off topic. So, yeah.

It is my biggest pet peeve when (mostly) straight people try to make queer people feel guilty for shipping two same gender characters together or say it's problematic to ship them, so I've made a little list debunking their ideas. I'll be talking a lot about Byler but this also applies to Elmax, Ronance, Steddie and queer ships in general.
"Why can't people be friends anymore?" Why can't a guy and a girl be friends either? Why aren't you saying this about Chrissy and Eddie shippers? Unless the issue is that they're gay.
"You're assuming Will is gay based on stereotypes!" Of course, the horrible stereotype that gay guys like men but not women, how problematic of me.
"You're fetishizing children!" No one says this about M*leven shippers. The fact that you view a queer relationship as inherently sexual and adult is sexualising young people much more than shipping Will and Mike does.
"Men will be scared to be affectionate to their friends in real life in case people think that they're gay!" First of all, I doubt some straight guy is going to stop hanging out with his friend because some random person on the internet drew Steddie fanart. And second of all, why are we treating straight men's fear of being perceived as gay as a perfectly valid and normal fear? (I elaborate a bit on this point in the reblogs)
"Why is it okay to say Mike Wheeler is gay but not say Robin is straight? You're erasing his sexuality!" First of all, when did Mike say he's straight? Sure he said he loves Eleven (which I doubt he does anyways) but bi people exist. Plus, there are so many straight characters and ships out there. Straight people don't look up lists of shows with canonical queer representation or watch a show because it has a straight girl in it. Lesbians like myself look up to characters like Robin and they are meaningful to them. No straight person feels seen in their heterosexuality because of Mike Wheeler. The only exception in my opinion is when people headcanon straight characters who are dating trans people as bi like Tao from Heartstopper because that comes off as transphobic.
"They're too young to know that they're gay and you're forcing a sexuality on them." I've known I'm gay since I was eleven or twelve which is the age they are in S1. And yet again, why aren't you saying this about straight people! Everyone accepted that Dustin and Lucas liked Max in S2. Yet Will is too young to know who he likes... Interesting.
"Grown adults wanting two young boys to kiss each other is pretty weird." The issue with this is again the hypocrisy. Adult M*leven shippers don't get told this. Mike kissed Eleven in S1 and it was completely cute and non-sexual because they are children so of course it isn't sexual. Hell they even made out when they were 13 and no one complained. Why would that be any different if he kissed Mike instead of Will? Yet again, people view queer people as being inherently sexual but queer people get cute little crushes or want to kiss people sometimes too. It's not a sexual thing. It's the exact same as a straight person doing it.
Anyways that's my rant done. It just annoys me when half of their arguements saying why it's wrong to ship these characters are just masked homophobia, even if the person saying it doesn't realize. Feel free to add more to this in the reblogs, this is just what I've seen.

Proof that Ronance might be canon
inspired by: @merlinm196
SO HERE WE GO:
Natalia Dyer and Maya Hawke hinting that there might be something going on
2) How they look at each other ( They actually look at each other soooo many times in the season but I was just too lazy to find all of them hahah)
3) Natalia beating up the duffers because Talia could kiss Maya and she couldn't
4) The amount of fan art they have....whoah
5) Nancy deliberately chose Robin when she could have gone with anyone else
she could have taken Steve or anyone else to the asylum with her but she chose Robin. and the second time, she again, could have taken anyone else to go upstairs with her in the Creel house but. she. chose. Robin. Autistc. Buckley
6) Robin jumped in right after Nancy.
7) Nancy remembers what Robin said...
THAT'S ALL FOR TODAY GIRLS AND GAYS
there will be a part 2 if we get to 200 notes so yeah

it feels so risky to post this but i need to talk about it!!
natalia looks like she knows something and maya looks like shes about to explode (idc if theyre a posing for a photo let me be 🥰)
but literally natalia has that little elf on the shelf secretive type look in her eye, like she knows something about ronance and shes pitched it to someone and theyre most definitely on board.
maya looks like she wants to say something, like she wants to yap about how ronance is canon and how happy she is that robin gets to kiss someone she likes (COUGH nancy wheeler COUGH) but she'll get like bullied if she does because of an fda or something
ronance canon!!! (real) (not click bait!!!) (3am challenge) (gone wrong!!!)😻😻💥
its 2 am what am i doing with my life.
