OH NO NOW IT’S CATCHING
NOT THE MARKETPLACE HIMBO ;_; His Kenergy was unmatched
The split screen between Fai and Kurogane as they go Full Intensity Mode is FANTASTIC though. Kurogane’s sword is OUT and READY FOR THREATS.
Luckily the people mostly just seem to be threats to themselves more than anything at the moment but it’s good to be prepared
Tumblr media Tumblr media
OHHHHHHHHHH Oh dear that is bad
The time loop could sustain itself comfortably potentially forever as long as everything was the same and there were no changes, but the second they arrived things grew less and less stable, and the more new things they did the more this escalated.
To the point where now when they’re asking new questions people all around them are just coming apart at the seams and the entire time loop is collapsing.
The really interesting part is that this is probably a bit of a parallel to what Evil Wolverine is doing to the universe at large - where things are all nice and working just fine as long as everything is contained within the rules that run the universe, but the more Evil Wolverine pokes holes in the timelines and disrupts things with his plans, the more the logic of the universe starts to collapse around itself and things just generally start falling apart. It’s like a slowly escalating entropy scale that suddenly starts to tip the heavy it gets - and I assume his plan is to get it to flip entirely so he can finally just do what he wants and the rules can’t stop him.
Tumblr media
And CONFIRMED: Kurogane and Fai both read them as alive, so they are living beings in some sense or another.
Which has that LOVELY CLAMP TWIST OF THE KNIFE, where we could already guess that they were alive due to the cues given, but they didn’t confirm it in the narrative until AFTER they all started falling apart right in front of us.
:D It’s the CLAMP way!

BNHA Manga Chapter 240 Theories
Well Hawks killed Best Jeanist .It’s confirmed. I have a couple of theories about what they would do with him .
I have a feeling Toga could drink his blood and transform into him and work with the heroes and go undercover. ( Though it is very unlikely ) It is possible that Best Jeanist could be made into a Nomu as well . Dr Ujiko did call Tomura to tell that he wanted something delivered to him . It could be Best Jeanist.
Tumblr media
By making Best Jeanist into a Nomu, it could also have a physiological effect on Bakugou as well.  Even though he hated him , he still respected him as a hero to some extent . Seeing one of his mentors( in a way) turned into a monster , would affect his mental stability. Shigaraki could recall his mentor’s sayings and wants to manipulate Bakugou’s feelings as well , as revenge for not joining the villains.
I have a feeling that Tsubasa , Bakugou’s and Izuku’s childhood friend , who turned into a Nomu . Could also be possibly revealed , if the story intends take that direction.
We already know that when Izuku is extremely prone to anger and he wants to capture someone , Black Whip appears . It reacts to his emotions . How much pain would Izuku go through when he hears this ?
Another thing I wanted to mention is that time and time again , we have seen that Bakugou and Midoriya influence their classmates and it helps them get stronger. Even Aizawa - sensei mentioned about it in the provisional license arc. We are also getting a movie , which is to emphasize this point . I do recommend reading it to get a clear idea of what I’m trying to say. You can read it here.
What happens if the two strongest influences are broken ? There would be disharmony . I have a feeling that in the movie , their fight would be broadcasted and they would be deemed the next All Might .
If this happens, then surely the villains know what they are up against and they would be ready to take them down a peg. They are still children of course and as Shigaraki already experienced , they are easily manipulated .
I also believe the team up mission manga would be happening between the fight of Shigaraki and the liberation front . This manga would not only focus on the development of unity between the heroes , but this is in fact a necessity .
With the league even stronger than before , our heroes have to unite . The newer heroes have to take the mantle and save the world , otherwise all will be lost.
I believe all the students from different schools will recognize Midoriya and Bakugou for their spirits and set to follow them .
Another reason why Best Jeanist death is necessary because Hawks had to prove that he was with the villains , though he was under cover . And what better way to prove then killing a fellow hero ? He had to kill him in order to gain the trust of the villains and gain access to information.
Media is a huge influence in this world . With the Army having access to media , they could also influence people. Remember Stain ? Wasn’t his video going viral , the cause for people to follow him ?
What would the media say if Best Jeanist went missing ? We already got glimpse of the media saying he was set to recover , but he disappeared without a trace ?
Dr Ujiko had said that he would grant Tomura “ power “ . Going back to Chapter 222 , He said he had “ put together some research all to give you power  “ .
Research ? That seems oddly specific . What would have the doctor researched that could give him “ power “  ?
Endeavor's past abuse towards his family.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ows3BrI38r4
I feel like I’ve explained the theory here even better in the video . But I will still link the theory I posted on Tumblr here.
Hawks will most likely meet the gang and Dr Ujiko as well in the next chapter. he Maybe Dr Ujiko will give him some files to slip into the police . The files about Tsubasa . It could be little hints , which would lead them to interrogate Midoriya and Bakugou as they are from the same locality.
I’ve explained about what his deeds were in this theory here.
The creators of the manga had said in a recent interview that the upcoming chapters would surprise us . What could be more surprising then Best Jeanist turning into a Nomu ? It is something none of us had expected .

Casual Lunacy, Chapter 47
Love Live, NicoMaki, 3.8K, 47/?
Summary: We learn a little more about Anju and Rin’s nights continue their downward trend.
Thursday’s A Thrill: The Magic Begins
Maki had Nico’s list out, in an effort to distract herself from the thought of Nico, IN DANGER. Maki had already placed an order for a post show gift that she could pick up tomorrow and was now tapping a pen through the dress for the red carpet item. She had a tuxedo, tailored to fit, but Nico was seemingly expecting something…flashy? Maki frowned at the search results on her phone and the tapping increased. Her mother had arrived behind her and was sneaking a peek at the list.
“Need the florist’s number?” Maki jumped at her mother’s voice.
“Nope.”
“Worried about what to wear?” Maki’s mother settled into the couch, mug of tea cooling off.
Maki tilted her head, “Maybe.”
“Need to go shopping? I have some time tonight.” Her mother’s eyes gleamed.
One, Maki hated shopping and two, she wanted to be near campus in case Nico needed her, although she supposed she appreciated her mother’s willingness to help. “Can’t. I’m meeting Rin and Hanayo for dinner in a half an hour.”
“Oh,” Her mother sounded disappointed. Maki shrugged.
But she did want a second opinion, “I was thinking about my tuxedo.”
“Not a bad choice…” Her mother’s voice trailed off…
“But not a great one. Too stiff.” Maki threw herself across the couch, staring at the ceiling, “They don’t warn you dating requires fashion expertise.”
“What dating really requires is showing your…true self.” Dr. Nishikino sounded smug at having slipped in a Mom Talking Point™.
Maki snorted, “That’s a huge cliche.”
“Read any good poems recently?” pointed tapping on the mug between sips. Morse code sarcasm.
Maki sat up enough to glare at her mother, whose smile was as sharp as Maki’s angry bite.
“People tend to think the tuxedo is purposely a bit plain for men so that the woman’s dress could be shown off like a flower.” Maki’s mother sighed, “which really doesn’t help you. The question is….”
“That’s dumb, I’m not there to show Nico off…Nico” Maki continued her roll up to sitting position, propping her chin on her knee, “does just fine on her own.” Maki frowned, tangling a strand of hair, “I have to keep up.”
“No,” the older Nishikino’s voice was firm, “you have to be you.”
“Yeah…” Maki let her mother win that point, as it was comforting, falling back to review for the 100th time since reading Nico’s note what she had in her closet. She bounced between that and wondering what exactly Hanayo’s bosses had planned for Nico tomorrow. Maybe talking to Rin and Hanayo would clear this funk of multiple worries.
“I should go.” Maki decided. “Nico’s coming here tonight. I ordered some food for later. Would you mind waiting for the delivery, Mama? It should be here soon.”
“I’m waiting for your father to get home anyway.” Her mother nodded, finishing her tea.
Maki bounced up, briefly hugging her mother in passing. “Thanks, Mama. See you tomorrow. You’re coming to the opening, right?”
“Got our tickets last week. Have fun tonight.” a wave.
Maki waved and bounded to the door to grab her sweatshirt.
If someone had asked Nico if she were tired and she wasn’t exactly paying attention, she might have admitted it – BRIEFLY – but then rolled into a stream of chatter that would belie her previous statement.
“Nico tired? A little, but what’s important is Nico is ready to perform and the second she walks onto that stage, everyone will notice Nico.”
Stepping into the theatre before she headed backstage, of course Nico was there early, long before any audience could be expected, Nico stood in the back of the theatre, staring at the stage, set in its preshow configuration, Mina’s desk on stage left, only the house lights, none of the moody, tending gray colors that the lighting design had chosen. Mina’s scenes were always a little brighter, a little warmer, as were Lucy’s, until Dracula began to prey on her life force.
There really was no feeling like this, the anticipation, the buzz, the need to step out, the challenge of meeting your fellow actors as the play tested your preparation and your teamwork, the connection with the audience and being able to ride their attention, each night different scenes, different moments striking that sweetest of spots where an actor could feel the breaths held, the hairs raised, the truths recognized. Nico lived for that, the no net below diving into each performance, each experience, each audience. Some nights were a gift, some a struggle but there was nothing as satisfying as the effort.
Post renovation, the tunnel to Deering Library looked a little warmer, much less industrial, smooth terrazo floors glinting with hints of marble and quartz, warm woods humanizing the utulitarian vibe, than in the archival pictures Hanayo had seen, but there was still something dank and distressing in the air, a clinging coldness that made her hurry as the lights flickered suddenly. Few students used these corridors anymore, the West Entrance having gained in popularity with its Hogwarts feel. This corridor was narrow, too narrow, the walls close, and Hanayo couldn’t help feeling it was coming to a point somehow, a point that shimmered in front of her, in a swirl of pulsing lava red and cresting sea blue, sort of like the green swirl in Rin’s eyes when she was transforming, how the colors would weave and wave back and forth but never merge, every spin opening new depths Hanayo would just feel herself leaning into, warm…the orbs lighting the tunnel seemed to drift down, turning and dancing, lava lamp bubbles floating in a cooling sea and Hanayo….
Anju lowered her hand, the stone she’d reclaimed from Nico’s costume brooch dropping to her palm. She placed her other hand on the wall behind her, willed access, and watched as the shimmering portal appeared. Hanayo’s trance was holding so simple commands should work.
First: “Hand me your phone.” A blank eyed Hanayo complied, “Now walk forward.” Anju commanded and Hanayo took three hesitant steps, breaking the threshold of the portal, but maintaining the trance, although Anju could feel her previous spells weakening. Neither trance would hold much longer, but Anju only needed a few hours and had no energy to waste. Neither of her prisoners would have any idea how to release themselves.
Anju watched as Hanayo stopped, rendered captive and motionless by the energy vibrating around her. A quick gesture closed the portal. The first success of the night. The next stage of this plan would require so much more of an energy expenditure. She placed the receiver in her bag, placed the stone next to its twin in the metal wand Tsubasa had created and rested for a moment. The glamor she had put in place would discourage anyone else from entering the tunnels. And by the time she got to the West Entrance, the library would be closed.
Hanayo’s phone barked.
R: Kayo-chin, where are YOU? Maki’s here already!
Anju thought for a second then typed. Hanayo seemed like the cutesy name type.
H: Sorry, sweetie, had to go with Erena to rehearsal. Having some issues. See you around 10.
Rin looked up from her phone, frowning at Maki. “Kayo-chin just called me Sweetie.”
“Huh?” Maki stopped stacking french fries.
“She never does that…’sweird.” Rin turned her phone over a few times.
“Maybe she was distracted? Nervous?’ Maki tried to lighten the mood with teasing. “Or maybe she’s just trying out something new.”
Rin’s mood lifted slightly, ‘Do you and Nico try out new things,” her grin turned wicked, “Princess?”
“Shut it, Rin.” Maki snarled.
Rin pushed her mashed potatoes around her plate. “Anyway, it’s ‘sweird. I don’t like it.”
“Anyway,” Maki tried to divert her friend back to their previous topic, “What am I going to wear?”
Rin shook her head, but then grinned at her friend, “Fur. Maybe a bow tie.”
Maki’s reply was grave. “Nico would kill me.”
Rin shrugged, “Nah, you’d be too cute. Plus,” and Rin giggled, “Bad publicity for show.” She threw her arms out dramatically. “Lead actress mean to cute ball of fluff.”
“I am not a ‘cute ball of fluff’.” Maki hissed, leaning in.
Heads turned, Rin kept giggling, Maki blushed and glared. Rin grabbed Maki and hugged while Maki struggled, shouting, “LET ME GO.”
Too much attention. Maki’s ears shifted and she felt her nose start to elongate, moisten, smells swarming. Hanayo would have stopped Rin, soothed Maki, but…
Maki bolted, sitting to sixty in one leap, barely holding back to a growl, heading for the lobby. Rin rolled her eyes at her friend and went back to staring morosely at her phone, tapping out several different messages, not happy with any of them.
R: Where are you?
Anju bit her lip. Last thing she needed was a nosy werewolf on the premises. Maybe she should have told Erena the truth, well, part of the truth, so that there’d be someone to keep a lookout. But Anju had vowed to trust or endanger no one. So she composed a careful message.
H: In a hurry. Erena’s frowning at me. I’ll meet you back at the dorm as soon as I can.
Anju paused.
H: Tsubasa’s been talking about hunting again so don’t come here.
The more Hanayo texted the less happy Rin got. She picked up her tray and Maki’s and went to find the embarrassed redhead. Rin wasn’t going to ignore her gut feeling.
Hanayo opened her eyes. Cold. White walls. No warmth. No wood. She was in pre renovation Deering somehow. Or hallucinating. Hypnotism? Hanayo pinched the skin between her thumb and fingers. Not dreaming. No light outside the windows. Eerie silence and then with a boom, she heard it, someone running toward her, huge, panicked steps. Hanayo whirled around, the corridor stretched beyond what her eyes could register. She shivered, the steps getting closer, someone rushing toward her. Caramel hair, darker and longer than Rin’s, an orange dress billowing out behind her, head forward like a charging goat…Anju…Hanayo stepped forward, arms up to block.
“What did you do?” Hanayo screeched.
“Who are you? Where is this?” Desperate hands clutched Hanayo, high notes hitting a shattering shrill. “You’re real. You’re here.”
Hanayo slapped the hands away, nearly shouting, as she glared into confused dark purple, “What did you do?”
Sobbing. Anju’s body slamming against Hanayo, whose arms were suddenly full of a sodden, sobbing villainess. The weight dropped them both to the ground as the lights flickered out
Nozomi was a free agent for the night. She and Erena had agreed not to make any changes but the director hadn’t signed off on every effect yet so Nozomi was planning to pay close attention to every cue. Even if Eli was onstage being slinky and sexy. Even if Nico decided to strangle Kashima instead of ‘thralling’ for Dracula…” Nozomi laughed as she adapted Nico-chi’s favorite word. She was going to miss this show. It had been an insane challenge but also one of those magical alignments of project and people. So much talent onstage and off, bringing to life a streamlined version of a legendary tale that still resonated with so many today. Decades ago, Dracula had spoken to the AIDS/Gay panic; in this era, there was a Mina Murray-Harker armed with Mjolnir borrowed from Ragnorak Thor and a wooden stake gifted from Buffy, ready to lead platoons against the evil (mostly) men whose crimes and aggressions had been exposed to public scorn as the #MeToo movement strengthened.
Pre show lighting was up, actors were offstage, audience was filtering in, Chopin nocturnes and elegies setting the aural mood. Tonight, tonight was the night. Nico had been on a high since she arrived, all her energy focused, all her actions efficient, hair swept up in a tight bun, eyes fierce; Eli had been looser when Nozomi had seen her, a little nervous, a little jumpy, hair loose, nightgown clinging, blue eyes with no trace of the harm Eli would force into them as she crept close to Jonathan Harker. Nozomi still felt restless, like there was an undercurrent somewhere that had only reached out to her, an unease that just teased the back of her neck, like a breath of winter’s threat on a summer day. She pulled out her cards, shuffling quietly as she sat in the back row, carefully dealing three cards on the shaky platform her bag provided. Holding her breath, she turned over the face, two people about to enter a chuppah, joy on their faces, but staring at her from the reversed position. Next card, the blindfolded woman holding two crossed swords, under a crescent moon. Also reversed. And last, ah, Nozomi shook her head, what Eli now called “The Nico card,” 8 of Pentacles, a craftsman hard at work at success. Not reversed. Delay, lies, false starts, maybe even traps affecting Nico’s path to triumph. Nozomi considered her options, faced as she was with another warning from the cards. Should she try confronting Nico again. Right before one of the most important performances of Nico’s fledgling career was not optimal timing. But if something was going to go wrong…Nozomi loved the freedom the cards gave her to interpret, to guess, to read any situation, but sometimes, oh so very rarely, a “this will happen at 8:09 p.m., do this to avoid it” screamer might be nice. The pit started the overture; too late for a timely intervention in whatever Nico’s future held, Nozomi realized, settling back in her seat.
Maki was standing outside Sargent Hall, hands shoved in her hoodie’s kangaroo pockets, head tilted up to stare blankly at the waxing moon. Rin could always feel its influence, but as she rarely fought the urge to transform, it had never loomed as large for her as it had for Maki.
“Maki!” Rin’s barked call was sharp, a slap to get Maki’s mind off the moon. Maki turned, Rin could see the neon still swirling, “We’re going to the theatre. Kayo-chin needs me.”
Maki nodded and fell in step with her friend, not questioning. Her agitation over Nico being in danger was adding to the drag of things ‘encouraging’ her to make the world simpler by just letting her wolf senses take over. Diverting that instinct was taking most of her attention. So Maki was very willing to follow Rin’s lead and quietly ensure that neither Hanayo or Nico were in danger. Then she and Rin could go race around her backyard until Nico showed up, safe and thrilling. Win-win.
Eli would be very glad when this was over. While grateful for the chance to put her dance training and abilities to dramatic use, she had not factored in the literal darkness and gloom that would be involved in a production adapting Bram Stoker’s Dracula. When she crawled out of the darkness with her two ‘sisters’, transforming the gut punching fear that chilled her fingers into a sort of feral hunger the audience could see took every ounce of willpower she could muster. Nozomi had had to hold her after so many nightmares. She couldn’t remember the last night she’d slept alone in her bed. Nor did she want to. For more reasons than Nozomi’s comforting voice. Eli felt herself smile as she adjusted her costume and caught sight of the simple ring on her left hand. Nozomi had taken some silver wire and under Eli’s tutelage, twisted it into a ring, wrapped around a small chunk of a blue stone that matched Eli’s eyes. As much as Eli hated the dark and shivered from the fear, Fangs would always be the reason she’d gotten to talk to Nozomi finally and so all of her memories of it would always have a warm tint to them.
Suddenly Nico was next to her, stepping offstage. The show was getting to Mina’s reading of Jonathan’s journal. Soon, Eli would have to be her most menacing. Nico gave a quick grin and squeezed Eli’s hand, whispering. “Great audience. We’ve got ‘em.” Eli nodded, suddenly nervous as Nico’s surging confidence shadowed her.
Once they got to the Wirtz Center, Maki took over the lead as she’d actually been to rehearsal a few times (in non wolf form) and knew where to go. Rin was getting more and more worried as there were no fresh traces of Hanayo. Maki could smell that Nico had passed this way and more importantly, could hear her voice onstage. As they approached the doors allowing the audience entrance, Rin grabbed Maki and yanked her back, “What do we do? Unless Kayo-chin came in another way she’s not here, Maki.”
Maki knew Rin was right, but interrupting the play by shouting “Where’s Kayo-chin?” Rin’s probable next step was several kinds of disaster about to happen.
“Give me a minute.” Maki hissed and opened the door, letting her nose and ears tell her if there was anyone she knew in the seats. Sergeant Alvarez was toward the front, but a much nearer presence was Nozomi, her sage scent mixing with excitement as the play progressed. Maki shut the door, “Nozomi’s here.”
“Let’s ask her.” Rin strode forward, but Maki stood in her way.
“I’ll get her out here. We don’t want to mess up the rehearsal.”
Rin muttered unhappily, but stayed put as Maki crept into the theatre. Nozomi jumped a little when Maki put a hand on her forearm but when Maki gestured for her to follow, Nozomi did without any questions.
As soon as Nozomi hit the hallway, Rin began. “Kayo-chin’s not here and she’s supposed to be. Where’s Erena? She needs to tell me where Kayo-chin is…” Rin’s eyes narrowed as Nozomi’s curious look turned to shock. Maki could smell the wolf taking over and stepped forward.
“Rin.” Her hand on Rin’s shoulder, Maki tightened her grip, to remind Rin of their recent tussle. Rin snarled.
Nozomi drawled her way through the tension, “Two cuties desperate to see me. My Eli-chi is going to be so jealous.”
Maki felt her lip turn up, Rin just stared as Nozomi’s playful tone clanged dully off the mood.
“We need your help.” Maki eased her grip on Rin.
“Yeah. Which one’s Erena?” Rin’s eyes were searching everywhere.
“What happened?” Nozomi asked.
Maki kept a hand on Rin, “Rin got a text from Hanayo saying she had to drop something off at the theatre. Because Erena asked her to.”
“It didn’t sound like Kayo-chin. Something’s wrong. I can tell.” Rin shook Maki off and circled, her pace increasing with each step.
Nozomi sighed, “I can tell too.” Rin paused, as Nozomi continued, “I just drew cards for Nico that…” Nozomi chose her words as carefully as she could, aware of how volatile her audience’s tempers were, “suggested some kind of deceit or trap.”
Maki would have sprinted Nico-ward, but Rin grabbed her around the waist, “I can hear Nico, Maki. She’s fine. But Kayo-chin’s MISSING.”
Nozomi crossed her arms over her chest, continuing to speak slowly in an effort to keep the tinder of the werewolves’ tempers dry, “I know where Erena is.”
Rin shoved Nozomi back toward the theatre, “Take us.”
“We have to go upstairs. To the booth.”
Maki remembered Tuesday and a small room and Nico’s hands everywhere and blushed. Rin half turned her head, picking up on the surge of Maki’s want.
“Kayo-chin.” Rin hissed at the redhead. Maki nodded, abashed. She could feel the prickles as the hairs on the back of her neck tensed, ready to elongate. Too many smells feels people worries pressure.
Maki had never seen Rin so furious. The much taller lighting designer had been shoved against a wall, Rin pulling Erena’s head down with both hands full of sweater. Rin’s full fanged snarl kept widening and Maki knew they were one action away from wolf Rin tearing out the taller woman’s throat.
Erena glanced at Nozomi, pleading, “What’s this about?”
“Kayo-chin.” Rin snapped her jaw next to Erena’s ear. The force echoed.
“Who?” Erena tried to pull back.
Nozomi looked to Maki, who stepped up next to her friend, Maki wincing in expectation of a bite as she shoved a forearm between Rin and Erena, “You have to explain properly, Rin.”
Rin let go of Erena, turned and pounded the opposite wall with two open palms.
Maki spoke, “Her fiancée, Hanayo, got a text from you, asking her to bring a receiver here. We can’t find her.”
Nozomi watched as Erena’s face, not the most expressive, paled with a flash of panic before it locked back into neutral cool, “Oh, yeah, she took care of that hours ago.”
Rin leapt, Maki barely catching her, the momentum thudding both of them back into the wall.
“You’re lying!” Rin screamed, arms trying to reach through Maki.
Maki was pleased that Erena was smelling concerned and terrified, over the musk and hazelnut. Maki leaned close to Rin’s ear, words lower than a whisper, “Don’t change. We need to be able to talk, to ask questions. For Hanayo.”
Rin inhaled, her whole body shuddering with effort. Maki had lifted the smaller werewolf off the ground, but as she sensed Rin’s transformation urge easing back, Maki released her.
“Where is she?” Rin growled.
Erena raised both hands, “I don’t know. I’m sorry. Let me check my phone. It’s in the booth.”
Rin stepped to the side, fists clenched. “Bring it out here or we go in.”
Erena returned, showing Rin the text message. “I didn’t write that. I swear, I haven’t seen Hanayo. I left my phone in my jacket. Anyone could have…”
Maki shook her head. She’d smelled bergamot, copper, and too calm when they were downstairs. That left only one other person who would have written to Kayo-chin and who might have her somewhere else now. Anju. “If she stole your phone,” Maki said slowly, staring at Rin, “she probably…”
“Stole Kayo-chin’s…”
Maki grabbed Erena’s phone, reading quickly, “Maybe Hanayo never left Deering.”
Rin was on the ground before anyone could blink, a blur of orange and black fur, shredding clothes around her.
Maki needed to follow Rin as fast as she could, but before she ducked into a room to change, she stopped in front of Nozomi, the start of her transformation sharpening the angles of her face, deepening her voice as she growled, fangs prominent, “Keep Nico safe.”
Nozomi nodded, suddenly not so sure she wanted to see Maki as a full wolf. Or disappoint her.
“What’s going on?” Erena asked as Maki disappeared down the hall at a sprint.
“Your girlfriend’s got herself in real trouble.” Nozomi snorted, wishing Eli were there to help her sort out all this confusion.
There was no longer any semblance of cool on Erena’s face as everything that had just happened registered. Then she took off after Rin and Maki.
A/N: And here we are. Comments are fuel, I read somewhere, drop me some ; )

Discern the Truth Ch. 3
All the Little Talks
(Alternate Titles for this chapter: Reference City)
Shio waited a few minutes, and a few minutes turned into several before eventually an entire hour passed since the revelation of the motive and since the group had dispersed through the campus.
She had spent that time just sitting with and chatting with Daichi. There wasn't much they could talk about in terms of their past, at least for Daichi when his memory was still as skewered as it was, but he did have one story he remembered with clarity where he and his childhood friend snuck into some private property to go bug hunting and ended with the two being chased by the angry owner.
The sun was still up and the clocks on the wall of the dorms read that it was a little past four-thirty in the afternoon when they finished talking. Though, Shio wasn't sure just how much she could trust the clocks to be accurate, but at the same time it wasn't like they could be off too far. Maybe an hour or two off if anything. The sun was still shining when the clocks said it was day and the stars were out when the clocks said it was night, and her stomach growled when it said it was mealtime.
"Ready to check on the others?" she asked as she stood up and raised her arms above her head to stretch. "Hopefully they've all had enough time to calm down, and if not we can reassure them when we see them."
Daichi smiled softly, not looking her in the eyes as he scratched the back of his head. "I'm sure that if it's you talking to them, they'll calm down if they're still upset or anxious over what Monokuma said," he said. "I mean, it's hard to be upset when you're around."
"You're a flatterer, Akemi-kun," Shio laughed as she gave him a pat on the shoulder. "Come on, let's go."
She started marching forward with a smile on her face and Daichi following at her side. She already had an idea of where some of the others would be lurking, so it would be quickest to check those spots out first. Of course they could be in their own dorm rooms, but Shio hadn't seen anyone go by her as she and Daichi hung out outside of the rooms.
The first spot she chose was actually right behind the dorms. Over the past six days she'd seen Hikaru hanging around at the back more than a few times, so she figured it was safe to say that was her usual hangout spot. Usually she had Kasumi with her, so Shio wouldn't put it past them to both be behind the dorms today.
And, as she slipped out the dorms doors and walked around the building to the back, she was greeted with the familiar sight of a teenager wearing a dark blue track suit and another in a simple white long sleeve button up and a beige sweater vest over it and a skirt. The two girls were talking avidly as they leaned against the wall of the dorm.
They didn't seem to notice Shio or Daichi coming into view and approaching them, too engrossed in their conversation with each other.
"This sucks, I swear I'm gonna die in here!" Hikaru groaned as she slouched, propped up by the wall and running her hands through her red hair. "Kasumi, you gotta appease my spirit after I die, okay? Salt my grave so I don't come back a wretched ghost."
"Hikaru… you're not going to die," Kasumi mumbled.
Shio tilted her head as she reached them, "Why do you think you're going to die?" she asked. Did Hikaru think someone was going to kill her? No, the way she was saying it, it didn't sound like she was scared she was going to get murdered, but, whenever someone brought up dying, especially in this prison of theirs, Shio couldn't help but get a little nervous.
But the racer raised her head to look at the two who had arrived, "Huh? Oh, hey Uehara-san, Akemi-san," she greeted and scratched the back of her head. "it's just, it's so cramped in here, don't you think so? We're walled off, caged up, and I can't even get a good rush when in here. I'm going to die from adrenaline withdrawal!"
Oh, was Hikaru an adrenaline junkie? Well, Shio figured it did make some sense, she was a racer, and an Ultimate one at that. It wouldn't be strange if she loved the adrenaline rush that came along with her talent.
"Well, can't you just run along the wall? Wouldn't that give you a rush?" Daichi asked her.
But to his question, Hikaru looked at him and shook her head, "that wouldn't work at all. If I'm just running on my own then it'd be boring, and there isn't really anyone here who can keep up with me in a full blown race, on foot or otherwise," she grumbled, crossing her arms over her chest.
"I suggested asking Takahiko-kun or Tsubasa-chan, they are athletes after all," Kasumi offered, "But they both declined when we asked."
Oh, well that sucked. Those two would have been the best choices to have a run with Hikaru out of everyone here.
Shio could kind of understand where Hikaru was coming from. She was a racer after all, not having any sort of race going on must have been like a slow torture for her. Shio could relate, her fingers itched and twitched from not being able to hold, let alone play a violin in a week.
"I guess you really like racing against others, huh?"
"Of course," Hikaru said, nodding her head furiously, "I don't even care about if I win or lose, the fun is in giving your all, the rush of trying your hardest against another person. That's what's fun about it."
Shio smiled and placed a hand on Daichi's back, "In that case," she gave a shove and Daichi stumbled forward towards Hikaru. "Why not have a race with Akemi-kun? He may not look it, but he's actually pretty quick when he wants to be."
The racer looked him up and down with an arched brow, "You're not pulling my leg? You really are a good runner?"
Straightening himself out, Daichi let out an awkward cough, "Well, I guess? I don't know if I'm as fast as you, but, I think I was on a track team in middle school and high school."
Hikaru didn't comment on the 'I think' part of his statement, she smiled and slapped him on the back. "Good enough for me. Come on, we'll race around the campus wall," she grabbed him by the wrist and started walking, though it was something more between a walk and a jog, "follow me!"
"Hey, wait, I never said I was going to race you!" Daichi argued, but it was futile as he was dragged off.
Shio watched with a smile and from beside her Kasumi hid a small giggle behind her hand.
"Hopefully he can hold his own against her," Shio commented as she leaned against the wall. "I kind of threw Akemi-kun under the bus there, but I figured it'd help Yoshii-chan to get some of this out of her system."
Kasumi smiled up at her and it was almost like the sun was staring at Shio, "Don't worry," she assured her and looked back forward, watching as Hikaru finally got Daichi, who had given up on struggling, to the wall and looked to be getting into a starting position for the run. "She'll probably go easy on him if he's not fast enough."
"But wouldn't that go against the whole 'giving it her all' thing?" Shio asked as the two took off.
"It does, but I think Hikaru wouldn't mind so long as they both have fun."
Shio gave a hum and then turned to look back at Kasumi, "So… do you think you could tell me a little about yourself?" she asked and then gave a sheepish laugh, "I realized that I never really got to learn too much about you when we did our introductions on day one. I know you're a dancer and probably super elegant, too. But I don't know too much about you."
"Elegant? I don't know if I'd go that far…" Kasumi blushed a little and looked away, pushing some brown locks behind her ear. "There's not really a whole lot I can say. I'm probably a little bland in comparison to the others."
"Nonsense!" Shio shook her head. "You're super interesting already, whatever you have to say won't change that," she said and smiled, "So, how about this, what are some things you like? Outside of ballroom dance, of course."
"What kind of things I like…?" Kasumi answered and tapped a finger to her chin in thought. "Well… it's kind of embarrassing, but I like MMORPG games," she didn't look up at Shio as she said that, her ears turning pink. "I know it's silly."
"Silly? No way!" Shio leaned forward, "I never would have thought you'd be into those games, but that's super cool! Do you only play one specifically? Or do you have a whole bunch of different ones you play?"
Honestly, Shio had never played too many of those games. The only one she'd ever played had been an old one that had been fun for a little while but got tedious and stressful after a bit. The chat was always moving too fast for her to make sense of what was going on, most of the good gear or quests required her to pay to gain access. The game always lagged like crazy when she was in the cities and it ended up becoming boring.
Not to mention most of her time had already been devoted to the violin, which she had so much more enjoyment in than the game. But, she also understood that different people had different interests. She wasn't about to shame Kasumi for liking something she never could really get into. Besides, it was nice to learn something new like this about the dancer.
Kasumi offered an embarrassed smile, "Well, I'd usually only really play one at a time. Dancing took up much of my time so I'd only get an hour or two in a day unless I had a contest coming up, then I'd have no time at all to play," she explained. "But this one I'd been really into recently was called Ysmir."
"Ysmir?" Shio repeated with a tilt of her head. She couldn't really say the name sounded familiar. "What's the game like?"
But the dancer looked away, "I'll probably make it sound boring if I explain it," she said, "I've been told I tend to ramble when I start talking, I don't want to annoy you or anything."
"Come on, there's no way you can annoy me," Shio assured her with a smile and pat on the shoulder, "Besides, if it's a game you play, then of course I'd like to know more about it. It's bound to be loads of fun, after all. It's impossible for you to make it sound boring."
Kasumi didn't look entirely convinced but she nodded and swallowed a little before finally answering. "Well, it's a game that takes place in four different kingdoms. Though technically only one was an actual kingdom. What you choose for your character, such as race and class in the beginning of the game decides what land you start on," she began, and at least she gave Shio a heads up about the rambling part.
"There's Aykor, which is where human warriors and mages spawn, it's a small kingdom where players can create mage guilds, join the Templar order or become a Kings knight. It's an Old-English styled layout. Then there's the Northern Barrens, super cold and unless your character has the right gear equipped or a Frost Resistant perk, they'll be getting damaged just by being outside. Snow elves and a race of humans known as the northern children spawn there, they are immune to cold and have powerful ice magic. They also worship the Great Frost, which is actually a dragon and characters from that land can summon the Will of the Frost to fight with them if they're a high enough level, which summons an ice version of the dragon,"Kasumi said, her hands were moving in gestures that Shio couldn't really understand, but she was smiling so much wider than the violinist thought she'd ever seen the woman smile before.
"There's also this southern land called the Seven Cities which is where people who choose orcs, barbarians or rogues spawn," Kasumi continued, "It's a desert like land with a few grassy lands where cities tend to be built at, the cities are full of thieves and crime and a lot of illegal guilds you can join. Also there's a land called the Tir Na Nog, the Fairy Kingdom where fairies, elves and dwarves spawn, full of magic and beauty. It's lustrous forests and magical creatures everywhere, and you can't enter unless you're one of their native characters, are in a party with one, or has gained the favor of Titania or Oberon. There's a whole lot of quests you can do, different type of gear, you can even marry other players and share an inventory."
She spoke so fast. It felt like Shio had just listened to the audio version of a small wall of text. Most of this stuff was going over her head, as much as she didn't want to admit it, and it just sounded confusing. Too much to take in at once.
But Kasumi was certainly passionate as she talked about it, smiling wide and her cheeks were even a slight flushed color. Just listening to how excited and happy Kasumi was about talking about this Ysmir game actually made Shio a bit more interested in this game of hers than she would have otherwise. It was certainly worth checking out, that was for sure.
"So, then what kind of character did you have?" she asked, when the girl had finished, hoping she could retain enough of the info dump to make sense of however Kasumi answered.
She smiled happily, "I played a fairy, so I had a flight perk and magic," was Kasumi's answer. "I joined a guild on Aykor with a few other players, we weren't anything special and were kind of small, but we had fun together."
"It sounds like it," Shio responded, "With how much you're hyping it up, I might have to try it when we get out of here."
She practically had stars in her eyes when Shio said that and nodded her head, "Yes, please, do! You'll love it," Kasumi said, "I'm trying to get Hikaru to agree to play it when we get out, it'll be fun if you do too. I can even show you the ropes when you start out and help you out!"
"Well, I can't say it won't be nice having someone show me how things are done," she agreed with a grin, "You'll have to give me your contact info so we can stay in touch after this, I can't imagine we're all from the same city after all." And it'd be nice to keep contact with everyone once they got out of here.
Kasumi giggled a little, hiding it behind her hand.
Honestly, Kasumi was such a bright and happy girl, Shio was quite glad to have a ray of sunshine like her in this dreary place. She may be a bit shy and quiet at times, but Kasumi had a special charm about her that made it hard not to smile when talking to her. And, when she started getting passionate about that game, it really was impossible not to want to join in.
"So… Shio-chan, can I ask you something?" Kasumi asked and her smile was gone. She was looking down, playing with her fingers, like she couldn't meet Shio's eyes or something.
But Shio kept smiling, if for nothing more than to offer her friend some comfort. "Sure, go ahead."
Kasumi swallowed and her shoulders shook a little. "It's… it's about the motive," she admitted and even though Shio knew that they were going to talk about it—it was a murder motive and their lives being threatened after all—she couldn't help but feel a bit of unease at the mention of it. But she kept smiling for Kasumi. "Do you… please be honest with me Shio-chan, do you really think that it's a bluff? Or are we really all going to die if we don't kill a person?"
At her question, Shio took in a deep breath and tilted her head to look up at the sky as she collected her thoughts. It was still as blue as ever, clouds drifting aimlessly by, birds flying above, unaware or uncaring of their current plight. She closed her eyes and after a moment, opened them again.
"Of course it is," she answered, her voice steady and eyes holding certainty. "I don't believe that Monokuma would try to kill us all off like that. But, if it helps you at all, I do have a plan being executed in case I'm wrong."
"You do?" Kasumi asked, looking at her with wonder.
Shio smiled and patted her friend on the shoulder, "I do, I can't tell you anything right now, but it'll probably come up when the group meets up for dinner," she explained. She didn't want to tell her about Izumi looking for bombs, not right now. Shio wanted to wait until she met up with the thief later to see how progress went before explaining everything to the others. "But, I can tell you that you don't have to worry your pretty little head none. I promise that I'll keep you and the others safe, okay?"
She kept staring at Shio for a long time before she nodded, her smile returning and her hand reaching out to grasp Shio's own. "Thank you for doing this, Shio-chan," Kasumi murmured, her voice quiet and weak. "For taking charge like this. I don't… I don't know if we'd have been able to last as a group this long if you hadn't been here."
Now it was time for Shio to go red as she looked away, scratching at the back of her head with her free hand and giving an awkward laugh. "Well, I don't think that's entirely true, you guys would have been fine without me. There are lots of other competent people in the group who could have taken this role, after all."
Kasumi smiled and let go of Shio's hand. "I'll have to disagree with that, but I won't push it," she said and looked away, "I think I see Hikaru and Daichi-kun coming back. If it's okay with you, we can pick up our conversation another time."
Sure enough, Shio could see the two making their return in the distance. Hikaru seemed to be running a bit slower to match the pace with Daichi who, by the looks of it, was completely worn out. Shio almost laughed at the sight of it.
"I'll come visit you again, I'd love to hear more about that game of yours," she said as she went to meet up with the racers.
After checking on Daichi to make sure he was going to live, and giving him a few minutes to catch his breath and to step into his room to change into clothes that weren't drenched in sweat, the two went off to try and find some of the other students to see how they were doing.
She expected to see Tsubasa or Eisuke in the gym, but neither were there, much to her surprise. They did pass Goro as they walked down the hall connecting the gym to the rest of the university center. But he didn't really want to stick around and chat, claiming he just wanted to get on to the library down the stairs, so Shio didn't press her luck and make him stay and talk.
The others were probably hanging out in the library or in one of the few rooms on this floor or downstairs. She'd spent quite a bit of time chatting with Kasumi, too, and Daichi had burned himself out during the run with Hikaru that they agreed to go to the dining room next.
"What did you two talk about, anyway?" Daichi asked as they walked, trying to hide the slight limp that came with his sore legs. "I mean, I didn't get to talk much with Yoshii-san while we were racing, but I figure you were chatting with Sasaki-san while we were out there."
Shio smiled as she brought her arms to rest behind her head, "What were we talking about? Hmm… well, mostly about games, actually," she admitted. "Sasaki-chan was telling me about this fun online game she plays, gave me something to look forward to trying once we got out of here."
"Sasaki-san is into gaming?" Daichi raised a brow and shook his head as they maneuvered around a chair that hadn't been pushed back in from one of the tables in the hall. "I really wouldn't have thought of that."
But Shio gave a small laugh, "We girls are full of surprises, Akemi-kun," she added a wink in his direction and giggled again as her friend went red and looked away.
They pushed the doors to the dining area open and saw a small group had already situated itself in there. At one table was Takahiko, Yuu and Ren. Aito was sitting alone at a table near them, close to the group but separate from them as always.
And as usual, he gave barely more than a grunt and nod in Shio's direction when she said hello as she walked by him, too preoccupied with the butter knife he was playing with. She made a mental note to try and get some one-on-one time with him, just to make sure he was okay, that there was nothing wrong.
But taking a seat next to Ren at the other table, Shio smiled at the group.
"Hey guys, what are you talking about?" she asked innocently as the three quieted down and offered a few hellos in her and Daichi's direction
Ren yawned as Daichi slipped in next to Shio. "We're just chatting about movies and stuff. Did you ever get to see Battle Royale?" he asked them. Both Shio and Daichi shook their heads. "2000's movie. We thought that the situation we're in kind of reminded us of the plot of the movie. Bunch of high schoolers isolated from the rest of the world by a group and forced to kill each other."
"I don't think there were class trials and talking robotic bears like Monokuma in the movie, though," Takahiko pointed out in that low rumble of a voice of his. "But, the similarity is unsettling. I probably won't be watching that movie again any time soon after we get out of here."
Yuu shuddered, "To be fair, that movie was never one I was really into, and now I'm into it even less," she muttered and slumped against the table. "But, it might not be too terrible of an idea to use this as an idea for a script. After some therapy of course. But I could make a TV show out of this."
"Well, if you need an actor to play the devilishly charming red haired protagonist," Ren began as he flicked a few strands of hair out of his face, "You know where to find me."
At his suggestion, Shio made a face of disgust and Ren's cool façade broke as he slapped his hands against the table. "Hey! What's that face supposed to mean? It's only fair that if you make this into a movie or show that I get to play me!"
Takahiko laughed a little at the exchange but didn't really make any comment as the two bickered. Shio was the one who broke the lighthearted argument with a curious question for them.
"That's right, movies and TV are basically your and Taikiyo-kuns thing, isn't it?" Shio asked, leaning against the table some to look at the two. Ren was an actor, she'd actually seen him on a few shows and movies before coming here, and Yuu wrote scripts for them. It wasn't any surprise the two of them would hang together or talk movies with each other.
Ren laughed and rubbed the back of his head. "I don't know if it's our 'thing', but… yeah. That's kind of the industry the two of us are in," he admitted. "Though I prefer stage plays than the big screen if I'm being honest."
Oh? So he preferred stuff like plays and musicals over TV shows and movies? That was pretty interesting, not what she would have expected from him.
"What would you guys say was your favorite project to work on?" Shio asked with a smile.
The two looked at each other and began thinking hard. From the corner of her eye she even saw Aito perk up and tilt his head over in their direction as though to listen for their answers. Boy, he could be a bit of a tsundere at times, but at least he seemed to want to be part of the group. Hopefully she could get him comfortable enough to join the fully integrate himself in the group one of these days.
"I'd have to say… there was this one TV series, a courtroom drama-comedy kind of thing called Attorney at Law," Ren began after tapping his chin a few times. "I don't know if you saw it before. It's about this one defense attorney who doubles as an investigator to prove his client innocent and bluffs most of the time through his cases and has a young spirit medium with no law experience other than being accused of murder at least once per season as his assistant."
"Yeah, I've heard of it, still going on strong after… what? Six seasons and a two-season spin-off focusing on his season one rival?" Daichi nodded his head. "Used to be one of my favorites. I kind of wanted to see his assistant and the season two prosecutor get together when I was still a big fan," he added with a laugh.
Ren grinned and nodded his head, "Oh, the ships people have for that show is amazing," he agreed. "But that was probably my favorite to be on. I played the role of one of the witnesses for one of the case arcs in season three. It was pretty fun meeting all the actors there for the few episodes I worked on."
"I think I helped write an episode for one of the season five cases," Yuu mused as she spoke up, "Or maybe it was season four? It was one of the seasons where they started bringing in all these new mechanics to the show."
"Yeah, I never really liked it after they added that stuff. I mean I could get behind the spirit medium thing. But listening to people's hearts?" Daichi made a face. "Don't get me wrong, I loved the character, she was awesome, but her whole ability just kind of felt like they were trying to push the envelope a bit too far."
Laughing, Ren shook his head, "Don't forget, this is a show that already lets the prosecutors whip, attack with hawks and God knows what else to the defense team and witnesses if they don't do what they want. Not to mention the judge makes the defense team uncover who the real killer is even after proving why their client couldn't have committed the murder."
"I don't think any of that would have worked in a real courtroom," Daichi laughed.
The table joined in his laughter for a little bit and when they calmed down, Shio, still a bit rosy cheeked, turned to Yuu. "What about you? What's the favorite thing you've worked on in the past?"
She looked up at Shio, picking at the sleeves of her oversized sweater. "Well, it's kind of embarrassing," she admitted. "But, my favorite show I've gotten to work on is Sugar Life. I was actually the head scriptwriter for the show and I loved every second I worked on it."
Ren cocked his head to the side, "Sugar Life? Is that some kind of sweet, romantic drama show?" He asked her. "I can totally see you writing scripts for those sappy romances. Like you'd be my pick to write the script for a live action version of So Lingers the Ocean."
"Sugar Life's a psychological thriller and drama filled to the brim with a lot of triggering and dark content," heads turned as Aito spoke, his body turned in his chair to face them as he stared at the group- no, he wasn't staring at them, his eyes were locked onto Yuu as he spoke.
"It's a show that slips seamlessly between dark and cute. It's a yandere type of story, except the relationship isn't founded by the character kidnapping and holding her lover hostage, but rather, she becomes a yandere as a result of external forces trying to tear apart this happy life she's developed with the one she fell in love with. So she murders anyone who tries to hurt her lover, blackmails and threatens anyone who poses a threat to this wonderful castle she's built. It was a pretty controversial show from a few years ago because of the content it showed."
Daichi let out a little cough, "I guess… you must be a big fan of that show?"
The response he got was a small shrug, "It's one of my favorites. I also find it ironic that the yandere character is one of the most mentally sane ones, with exception to her lover, of course. But I still think even she's a little messed up in the head herself to go along with this so eagerly and happily."
Yuu blushed and looked away, "I, thanks. I'm glad to know it's your favorite. Like you said, it has a lot of triggering content so I can understand that most people wouldn't like it."
"I mean, I already figured that Shigaraki-san here was into the trigger-happy shit, but, man. I would not have pegged you for being into dark stuff, Kobayashi-chan," Ren said with a laugh. "I feel like I'm learning so much about you now. Maybe you and Shigaraki-san can bond over your dark show."
She didn't say anything, her blush growing deeper as she looked at her lap in embarrassment.
Takahiko shook his head and leaned farther back into his seat. "She's sweet and all, but Kobayashi isn't some innocent snowflake," he commented, and Yuu reached out to try and silence him but he held her back with one hand, a small smile playing his lips. "She's always had some interesting interests. I mean you should read some of the fanfiction she's written. The stuff is dark. Kidnapping, psychological torture, physical torture, the list goes on."
"Takahiko!"
Once again the group started laughing at her dismay and Takahiko's unapologetic 'just saying it as it is.'. When they finally calmed down again, Daich smiled and nodded towards the two in front of him.
"So, Saikawa-san, Kobayashi-san, sorry if I'm just assuming this and all, but I couldn't help but notice just how close you guys have been since day one," Daichi pointed out. "Did you guys already know each other before we all came here?"
Shio made a small face. He was right, she noted. From the first time the entire group met up, those two had always been beside one another, confiding in one another. It was kind of odd when she thought about it, they would have been strangers who had just met each other, yet they've always acted like they were old friends. Even she and Daichi hadn't clicked that quickly.
But Yuu gave a small laugh and moved to lean against the much taller boy. "Well, guilty as charged. Guess we probably should have said this from the beginning, sorry," she said with a smile, wrapping and arm around Takahiko. "The two of us have been friends since we were little. We grew up in the same orphanage. Takahiko's pretty much my brother."
Takahiko nodded his head in agreement. "I was in the orphanage first, she got brought when we were six, was a crying mess for a good while. She's always been small, even when we were kids she was much smaller than the other kids so she got teased and picked on a lot," he explained to them with a lazy shrug. "I just kind of ended up chasing off the other kids whenever she got picked on, and before long we just always stuck to each other."
"We'd get in trouble so much at the orphanage because we'd always sneak into each other's bed to sleep, which was against the rules."
"Correction," Takahiko cut in, giving her a light slap on the arm and pushing Yuu off of him, "you'd always sneak into my bed because you were scared the shadow monsters were going to eat you while you slept."
"It's not my fault. Toga-chan always said that shadows on the walls were monsters waiting to gobble up kids!" Yuu complained with a pout.
Shio laughed as the two got at it. They really were like siblings. It had to be nice to have someone you cared so much about already to be here with you through this awful time. Or, maybe it just made it worse knowing they were in the same situation as you and their lives were in danger as well.
She didn't have much more time to dwell on it as the others began coming in one after another. It must have been time for the dinner meet up. Their conversation faded away as the table began to fill out with the others. First Eisuke, then Tsubasa. Kasumi and Hikaru came together as usual. Goro stole a chair next to Daichi and plopped himself down next to it. Shio made sure to count each and every one who came in. Kousuke followed Goro and found himself a seat next to Tsubasa. Eleven students.
Taiyou came in with a skip in his step as he sat on one of the nearby tables. Hayato slipped in quietly, she almost missed him. Izumi stepped in quietly with a bag over her shoulder and Mitsuru practically shouldered past her on her way in, both taking a seat on the side across from Shio.
At seeing Izumi, Shio smiled warmly. She was here, good. Now Shio could check on how she'd been doing, what sort of progress she'd made and then enlighten the rest of the group on their plan while everyone was still here and save her a trip of trying to find everyone to explain it to them.
"How's your work going?" Shio asked over the chatter of the other students when Izumi sat down. But Izumi didn't answer and Shio felt her smile slip, "…Hayasha-chan…?" she asked when she saw her face.
The expression on Izumi's face didn't raise much hopes, it was an expression Shio couldn't say she'd ever seen on her classmate's face. Her brows were knitted, a deep frown etched on her face as her eyes stared down sullenly at the table, unable to meet anyone's gaze. She hugged a bag tightly to herself as she seated herself across from Shio.
Shio felt flags start to raise, bright red ones, like Izumi had found something bad during her search.
"So what've you been up to, Hayasha-san?" Ren asked cocking his head to the side, "I saw you just wandering and snooping around the campus like you were looking pretty hard for something. Lose something?"
She didn't answer just looked at the table. So Shio spoke up on her behalf. "About that," she said clearing her throat as she stood up a little from her seat to address the group. "After we all split up following Monokuma's motive, Hayasha-chan suggested looking to see if there really are any bombs hidden around campus," Shio explained and looked back to Izumi with a gentle smile. "Did you find anything?"
There was a prolonged pause before Izumi finally looked back up at the group and, after swallowing hard, she placed the bag she was carrying on the table. "I wish I could say otherwise, but, I don't have good news," the thief admitted as she opened the bag and reached inside.
What she pulled out was a black metal ball, a little smaller than a bowling ball, with Monokumas face painted on it. Just the sight of it put an ominous feeling in the air.
"What's that?" Aito asked, a bit of interest in his eyes as he leaned towards the table to get a better look at it, "and where'd you find it?"
Izumi frowned as she tapped her fingers against the metal object. "I managed to find a hidden hatch where one of those Monokuma copies were hidden near the wall sealing us here. I pulled out the bear and found this hidden in it," she answered. "It's a bomb."
As soon as those words were out, several students jerked back, some leaping out of their chairs and backing up. Kousuke was one of them, moving so that there was another table between him and the rest of the group.
"Why the hell are you bringing a bomb in here? Are you trying to kill us?" he demanded, though there was a hint of panic, the small sign of fear, in his voice. "Do you realize just how dangerous this is? Do you?"
Tsubasa was another who had backed off when she learned what it was that Izumi brought to them. "I know you already have a criminal record that you're proud of and all that, but you don't need to add suicide bombing to it."
Several others started talking, one over another, panic rising as they feared the worse. Honestly, Shio needed to get the group to learn how to handle panic better. "Guys, guys!" Shio called out, and slowly but surely the group started to quiet down, "let's let Hayasha-chan explain."
Izumi gave her a grateful look and cleared her throat. "First of all, the bomb isn't going to go off, I made sure of that so we don't have to worry about this one blowing us up to kingdom come," she assured them all, but she still looked pale in the face. "The problem is that it means Monokuma isn't bluffing. At least about there being bombs spread out through the campus."
That was what Shio had been hoping wouldn't be the case. She firmly believed that Monokuma was just tricking them with the idea of blowing them up, but if there were bombs placed around the campus, then the idea of the motive being a huge bluff was less likely. Still, she had to hold onto hope and keep moving forward.
"Regardless, you already found one of them, thank you, Hayasha-chan," Shio said smiling happily at her friend.
Mitsuru frowned, her arms crossed as she nervously sat back down in her own seat. "So you said you found it in one of Monokumas spawn points? Any way we can block it to keep him from popping out in that spot?"
"I tried," Izumi admitted, "but as soon as I made a move to cover it up, Monokuma—the one I'd taken out of the hatch to retrieve the bomb—came to life and told me it was a big no-no to knowingly block his exit points. He made it into a regulation so you might want to check it out."
Shio slid out her E-Handbook and turned it on, taking a quick peek at the regulations. Most were the same; violence against Monokuma and destruction of the cameras and monitors were against the rules, graduation clause, nighttime from ten to seven. Then at the end was the one she was talking about, 'The knowing obstruction of any of Monokumas exit points is prohibited'.
"That means we're safe if we block one so long as we don't know that's where Monokuma comes from," Daichi said, "that's good. He could have been cruel and make it so we're punished even if we didn't know that's one of his hidden deployment hatches."
"He's also giving us a fighting chance here," Hayato said, speaking up from his corner at the table as he stared at the rule and then looked at Izumi. "He could have very easily made it so that disturbing these areas when we find them would be against the rules, making it impossible for Hayasha-san to retrieve the bombs that may be hidden inside them. But, he didn't. As the rules are right now, we're allowed to open them and take out whatever is inside, giving us the chance to find and deactivate these explosives before time runs out," he said slowly but clearly, letting his words sink in for the others. "He's given us a way to survive this motive without killing someone."
"Or it means," Taiyou cut in with his usual cheery, sing-song voice as he leaned back in his chair, feet kicked up on the table, "that the mastermind doesn't think we'll be able to survive even with this handicap. After all, who knows how many bombs there are. There's no way the sneak-thief over there can find and deactivate them all within the time limit. Monokuma knows this he's just giving us a bit of hope that'll come crashing down when we realize it's not working and we're running out of time."
"Adachi-kun," Shio began, but before she could get any further than that, Daichi cut her off, his fists slamming on the table as he glared at the blonde.
"Who're you to decide if we can or can't make it?" he asked, "I have full faith in Hayasha-san's capabilities. And, if we all work together to get through this, then there's no way we can't survive something like this."
But Taiyou was still smiling as he closed one eye, his other trained on Daichi. "Oooh? And how to you suppose we'll survive if she doesn't find and deactivate all the bombs? Dig ourselves little holes like rabbits and hope for the best?"
"We'll… we'll…" Daichi began, his voice wavering as he found himself at a loss, confronting Taiyou but with no actual ideas to present.
Yet it was fine, because when Taiyou said that a lightbulb went off for Shio and she clapped her hands together once with a small 'ah-hah!'. "That's it!" she said, and the all eyes were on her again. Taiyou was a freaking genius! "That's exactly what we can do."
"What…? Dig a hole?" Eisuke asked in disbelief.
Shio nodded her head firmly, "Yes. Not just a hole, we can build ourselves a makeshift shelter to protect us from the explosion," She explained, her pitch growing more and more excited as she spoke, the ideas rushing through her. "It's just, does anyone have a paper and pencil I can borrow?"
Yuu drew her bag to her front and began rummaging through it, "I do, hold on," she said and then withdrew a pen and a notebook, flipping it to a clean page before handing it off to Shio. "Here you go."
She took it with a thanks and began sketching. First a large circle, then a few rectangular shapes, writing down names to list what was what. She was a violinist, not an artist so it wasn't the best sketch, but it'd do. "See, this is the campus right now. I tried to put down where everything was and how they were facing to the best of my ability," she said and held out the items to Izumi, "Here, mark where you found the bomb."
"It was… right around here," Izumi answered and put a small Monokuma eye near the wall.
"Good, so that's one bomb, and to blow up the entire campus they'd need a lot. But, if we can try and clear out a specific area," she lightly began sketching a small bubble near where Izumi marked the bomb at, "that could be a safe zone farthest from the rest of the bombs. Of course we'd want to get rid of the other bombs too, to lessen the damage and all that."
Mitsuru let out a large groan. "Get to the point already! What does this have to do with digging a hole?"
Okay, so maybe she was dragging it on a little too much, "Sorry. Yeah, okay," Shio mumbled and then nodded to herself, "So, in the cleared area, we could build ourselves a hole. I think I saw plenty of tools that could work in the storehouse. We can fill sandbags up with the dirt we dig out to make a protective wall, or fill bags up with other things, preferable softer stuff that won't hurt us if they blow up, and when we draw close to the time limit, we can all climb into our makeshift bomb shelter where we'll be the safest on the chance that Monokuma isn't bluffing about blowing us up."
"Would that even work?" Tsubasa asked as she looked at the final project, a shabby drawing of a circle within her 'safe zone' circle with crudely drawn sandbags circling it. "I can't imagine we'd get that done in time."
"If we all work nonstop in shifts, it's possible," Takahiko offered. "We have groups of two to three people working and every few hours replace them with other students so they can rest. Even have students working during the night in groups to keep progress going."
"There's no rule saying we can't," Kasmi added, twiddling her fingers. "Though, Monokuma could easily make one when we start to keep us from doing it."
"It sounds like way too much work," Mitsuru grumbled, crossing her arms over her chest. "This kind of manual labor sounds like something for the dumb athletes, not for me."
Hikaru narrowed her eyes, "Watch what you say, princess, you're in the same boat as us. You really expect to survive if you don't pull your own weight?" she demanded. "Besides, do you really wanna pick a fight with us 'dumb athletes'? You wouldn't stand a chance."
Mitsuru looked like she wanted to say more, but quieted herself and sank in her chair with an expression like she just sucked a lemon.
"Guys, please, we're trying not to start fights," Ren called out with his hands held out in a 'stop' gesture towards the two girls. "Or did you forget the point of this is to not get killed? Because all this hostility is not doing the job."
"She started it, the girl's all bark and no bite," Hikaru grumbled but said no more to that.
Glad that that bit of strife was over, Shio quickly got back to the topic at hand. "Like Saikawa-kun said, so long as we keep working at it, we should be able to get it done in time. It doesn't need to be super deep either. Just enough to keep us safe should the worse come to happen."
"It feels like a waste of time and energy," Taiyou complained, loudly voicing his opinion as usual. "I mean, come on, if someone just kills another, won't that solve the problem so much quicker?"
"Don't even joke about that, Adachi-san," Daichi snapped.
"I'm just saying it as it is, we'd have a better chance of surviving if we just sacrifice some people."
Taiyou continued grinning from ear to ear as he said that, as relaxed as ever even though Daichi looked on the verge of attacking him for that. Shio reached out and grabbed him by the hand and gave it a slight squeeze, forcing Daichi to look away from Taiyou and at her. She offered him a small smile before turning to the other boy.
Her gaze hardened and her smile vanished. "I know this isn't as interesting for you as a killing game is, Adachi-kun," she began, "but I'd rather not play into Monokuma's hand. I'd rather take this chance to keep everyone alive than let two of my friends die for the rest to live, regardless of how high or low the odds are."
Taiyou stared back at her, still smiling, his eyes unblinking as they locked onto her own, like he was trying to figure her out from a simple look. The seconds felt like hours before he finally shrugged and looked away. "Fine, fine, suit yourself. Just don't count on my help for this plan."
A few students grumbled as he got up and walked away, a skip in his step and a hum fading as he left the room. She hadn't let go of Daichi's hands, feeling how tense he was, how tense everyone was.
Despite his attitude, despite everything… Taiyou had a point. There was no guarantee that, if Izumi could not find all the bombs and should if Monokuma went through with this motive, that the makeshift bomb shelter she had planned would protect them, would keep them all alive and unharmed. The only guarantee they had to keep the majority alive would be if two sacrificed their lives.
It'd be the easiest and quickest.
But, no, she couldn't think that way. Even considering the idea of letting two of her valued friends die so she and the others could keep on living was awful, it filled her with a gut wrenching guilt just thinking about it.
"For what it it's worth…" Kasumi began quietly, looking down at her lap, "I think Shio-chan's idea is really good."
Hikaru nodded in agreement, "Yeah, that's an idea I can get behind."
"I can't say I've ever dug out a trench before," Goro scratched the back of his head, "But, yeah, I'd be for it. Better than killing someone."
Kousuke sighed and shook his head. "I'm not entirely happy about the idea of doing such physical and dirty work such as digging a hole, Kita-san had a point about her, and I by the same reasons, not being suited for this kind of work," be began but sighed again in resignation, "but it's the better option and I'd be much happier not dying."
"I know there are lots of bags in the warehouse, and there's a few boxes of spare pillow cases and blankets we could use as makeshift bags if we run out," Tsubasa offered.
Takahiko nodded as he spoke up next, "We could probably use some of the gym equipment for some cushioning against the explosions, too," he suggested "There's two punching bags and few stacks of those foldable gymnastic mats in the closet. They're pretty durable stuff, they could probably work."
"There's some yoga mats in there as well. If we roll them up tight, they'd make an okay wall. Maybe," Eisuke added.
Slowly but surely more and more of her classmates began voicing their opinions, their agreement to the plan. Even Mitsuru, in her own sarcastic way, agreed to it and threw in a duct tape suggestion to keep the bags and mats together. Of course Izumi promised to keep looking for bombs, and asked to keep the makeshift map of the campus so she could keep marking where she found them.
Daichi got to work almost immediately, setting up schedules for who will dig and when, with where the first bomb was found the decided location for the trench. Groups of three were decided on, that way two can keep digging and the third can run to the warehouse and gym closet for tools if they need something, that way they can have each other's back in case Monokuma tried something. And to help prevent someone from being killed during this.
By the looks of things, the only one considering the idea of murder was Taiyou. It worried her some, but, she had a feeling since day one that he would be a problem in here. He was naturally antagonistic, and while she wasn't sure if he was genuine in his statements or just saying them to cause a problem, she knew she was going to have to sort something out with him to help prevent more problems.
But, honestly, Shio wasn't even sure if this plan was going to work. Could a hole in the ground walled up by dirt bags and foam mats really protect them from some explosions? Could this really keep them safe?
God she hoped so.

Viidog Code Main Story - Episode 4 - ベート / Beto
Finally managed to finish translating this before the end of the month~ Now I’m back on track for Viidog Code’s stories once again. The story starts to get more and more interesting and intense as the investigation continues on…
As always, the summary of the story can be found below. Translation may not be 100% accurate due to my poor Japanese skills~
Tumblr media
Chapter 1: 姿の見い敵 / The Enemy which can’t be Seen
One morning, Class 7 was being summoned to the office of the agency along with other classes. Kuki had thought that everyone would be summoned but turns out it was just Class 2, 4 and 7 actually. (And also Class 1, since they were the ones who summoned them here)
Kuki had wanted to volunteer to relay the information to the other classes, but Rui informed him that he had already done that, so Class 3, 5, and 6 had the same information as them now. Kuki pouted as he wondered perhaps they had thought he was still a kid (when he’s already 29 years old ^^;) and don’t feel safe that he would relay the information properly, claiming that he’s confident in doing a better job than Hijiri who’s bad at it. However, Hijiri smiled and said that he’s very confident of his skills in remembering things~ (And thus won’t forget the important information he had heard about)
Tumblr media
Back to the main topic on why they were being summoned, Izana started off by stating that they were sure that the organisation who ran the illegal casino no doubt was “Beto”, and it was hard to search on them after they’ve escaped in the middle of the night. However, Izana still had some information available, the owner of the building where the illegal casino was located as well as the one who provided the funding for the official casino to run seems to be a large and well-known company.
But Mahiro mentioned that trying to fish out any information about the illegal casino from the company gets an answer that they claimed they do not know anything about it. He did managed to get to know that the list of people who were missing matched perfectly with the list of guests who frequent the casino. (So there must be a link there somewhere~) Comparing both lists, Class 4 had also managed to know that they were also known as the VIP guests in the official casino.Ran also piped in and stated that they had managed to know that some of the VIP guests did went to the illegal casino before, claiming that they had managed to know this after talking for a long time with the people they were assigned to protect currently. However, they still didn’t managed to grab hold of any information on what kind of organisation this “Beto” was.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Trying to gather more information, Kuki requested “me” to head to the data room and searched for information regarding the rich people who’s living in this town and any relevant information about their family.
“I” head towards the data room, and overheard Rui talking on the phone there. He was talking to someone, and mentioned that even though he doesn’t know when is he going to launch his next move, he planned to carry it out soon. He mentioned that all the detectives in the agency are all “Kenrouzoku”, and told the other party he would send the information and photo over. (What is he doing? Is he sending other 3rd party information about our detective agency? OAO”)
Tumblr media
After he ended his phone call, Rui wasn’t happy to find “me” in the data room with him. He told “me” to promise him that “I” had not met him at all in this room, and had not seen anything at all, mentioning that if “I” had even dared to breathe  a word of what “I’ve” seen to anyone, he would make “me” unable to talk ever again. (Ahh…. he’s threatening “me”?!! OAO”)
Tumblr media
Thank goodness, Leo suddenly appeared and told Rui that he had found the book that Rui was looking for earlier, and that interrupted the conversation (or say his threatening) from proceeding any further…
Tumblr media
Chapter 2: 1日限定お姫様 / The Lady which exists for a day Only
“I” returned back to the office, and Kuki announced that we’re going to head to the official casino again as undercover, stating that we’re not going there just to play this time, but to confirm something and gain information instead. The mission he had set would be… whether the rich lady would be able to gain access to the VIP room? (Tsubasa dissed that this was indeed a mission name that’s easy to understand.. ^^;)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since “I” was assigned as the lady who was rich and going to the casino as undercover, Shiro asked what these people would be doing instead, gesturing towards the two guys in the office. (New characters~!! +W+)
One of the guy spoke up and answered that both his brother and him were being assigned to go undercover, where they’ll disguised as “my” SP (security police).
Tumblr media
Seeing that this was the first time “I’m” meeting them, Kuki introduced them to “me”. They’ll be the ones who would accompany “me” in going undercover and were members from Class 6. (Finally, the guys from Class 6 had appeared, that’s everyone… for now~)
The guy who answered initially introduced himself as “Mitsui Toki” and asked “me” to just keep quiet and see them at work later on. Kuki gave a weak smile and said that though he might be abit solemn,  it’s alright to depend on him, and asked Toki to protect “me”. (Aww~ Kuki is behaving like a dad asking someone to take good care of his daughter XD)
Tumblr media
The other guy, introduced himself as “Mitsui Shiki”, asking “me” to not rely on him as he found it troublesome. (What…?) Kuki brushed it off by saying that even though Shiki had stated that, it was still alright to rely on him in times of needs. As their surnames were the same, Kuki informed “me” that they’re brothers, with Shiki being the elder brother, whereas Toki is the younger brother. Class 6 only has both of them as its members.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tsubasa asked that whether it’s just the three of us (Shiki, Toki, and “me”), since he was worried as there’s going to be alot of people in the casino and there’s only Shiki and Toki accompanying “me”. Even Shiro mentioned that he found just three people going as undercover abit too little. (…Are they worried for “me”? OWO)
Kuki mentioned that he had called for one more person to come and assist us, and that person is… Ran! He had dressed up as a rich young lady from a corporation, and though Shiro said that he’s too obvious dressed up like this, Ran felt that it’s better the more obvious he is~(You’ll know the reason why later on ^^~)
Tumblr media
Ran asked Kuki whether he could do whatever he want, which Tsubasa wondered what is it that he wanted to do. It was then decided that both Ran and “me” would disguised as the rich ladies from huge corporations going undercover into the casino, with Shiki and Toki accompanying us as our SP. Ran was excited as he pulled “me” to go and get dressed up, claiming that he would make “adorable”~
Tumblr media
Arriving at the casino, Toki acted his role as the bodyguard, asking what are we going to play first there. (I thought he was escorting “me” actually, but turns out that he’s escorting Ran, whereas Shiki was the one escorting “me”) But Shiki isn’t doing anything, Toki was frustrated as he asked Shiki to escort “me”as his job. Even Ran helped to speak up, stating that Kuki would get angry if he slacked ><”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kuki had installed a small Erma on “my” hairpin, and thus the rest of Class 7 were able to see and hear the situation in the casino through it. Cameras were also installed on Shiki‘s button and Toki’s cuff, thus Tsubasa warned them to be careful when moving about in case they accidentally dropped them. Kuki warned them to avoid getting int o fights, and their mission in this casino was to become the VIP guests in this casino.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter 3: VIPへの道 / The Path to VIP
Toki was seen congratulating Ran as he won yet another round yet again, and his winnings had accumulated to quite a huge amount. “Me”, on the other hand, had great luck at the slot machines and had yet again get another 3 sevens. (It was “my” 8th time in getting it +W+ How lucky am “I”?)
Shiki called “me” as little chick (Hiyoko), asking “me” that “I” maybe acting too overboard and was making “myself” too stand out with “me” winning again and again. However, “I” ended up spinning another 3 sevens yet again in the midst of the conversation, though Toki who was watching from the other side seems to be glad that Shiki’s side seems to be doing well in gaining attention. Ran was amazed that “I” was really lucky and that’s different compared to him. (I guessed Ran used some tricks to make himself keep winning ^^;) Toki praised him that his skills was really good that he was even able to deceive the dealer’s eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ran started getting impatient as he wondered why none of the casino staff had approached him yet (in inviting him to be a VIP I guess), since he had already accumulated quite a large amount of winnings by now. Just then, Shiki came over and commented that “I” won’t do. (Why? I thought “I’m” doing a good job by winning?) Toki reprimanded him that he wasn’t supposed to come over to their side as they were supposed to gain attention while they’re separated in two different teams.
Shiki had carried over a large amount of coins, and claimed that they were all won by “me” on the slot machines, and had already cause one slot machine to run out of coins. (Wow… how did “I” do that… OAO”) Even Toki mentioned that this was pretty much impossible, as nobody had ever able to win consecutively on just one machine. Shiki wanted to exchange to playing cards next, and asked Ran to change with him.
Tumblr media
Just then, the manager of the casino approached them as he introduced himself, and after knowing that Ran was a rich lady from a power corporation (which I bet they just made up the family name ^^;), he wanted to introduce him to a place that’s more fun since Ran mentioned that this casino is too easy to win till he had lost patience and had wanted to leave. (Haha, no way the manager would let you off easily after you won so much of their money I guess ^^;)
Kuki who was watching from the office was glad that they had been “upgraded” to VIP status finally. Tsubasa was impressed with Ran’s card skills, but he was surprised at how good “I” am too. Kuki was sure that the manager would let them go off from the casino after they’ve won so much money and would definitely made a move on them. Kuki guessed that they should be leading to the illegal casino and informed Ran and others about it.
Tumblr media
The manager led us (including “me”, since “I’ve” won so much at the slot machines) to the illegal casino, and told us that there were more exciting games to join over here. As the manager turned to leave us here, Shiki wondered if it’s alright to let him go off like this, but Toki thought there’s no point in keeping the manager here either as he guessed that he’s just a normal staff recruited by the casino. (And thus might not know much about the illegal casino anyway)
Looking around, Toki mentioned that there were many rich women / wives and businessman in this casino. Shiki wondered what they should do next, and suggested that perhaps he should grab a staff and force out the information from them. (I don’t think you should do that Shiki…) Toki sighed and asked him to please think over it carefully before making move.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ran decided to walk around and meet some of these well-known people, and asked “me” to accompany him, though he said that “I” don’t have to do anything but just smile and stand next to him ^^; (Looks like Ran would just handle everything from here)
Tumblr media
Chapter 4: 託されたメッセージ / The Message which was being asked to deliver
Ran approached one of the young staff working there, pointing out that he had been looking at “me” since just now. That made the guy blushed while Ran complimented that he’s adorable for getting flustered like this .(Ran, you just enjoy teasing him don’t you…? ^^; Don’t worry, I would too if I were him XD) He assured him that he didn’t call him over just to tease him, and wanted him to introduce “me” to the owner, as “I” was interested in meeting the owner. However, the boy answered that only a small number of staff ever get the chance to meet the owner, and in fact the boy himself had never met the owner himself either. He insisted that he’s not lying as he felt intimidated by Toki and Shiki when they came over, and revealed the owner was always in the VIP room and had never leave the room.
Toki then realised that this hidden casino was still not our final destination, since there was still a VIP room that we’ve yet to enter. The boy continued by explaining that even though everyone in this hidden casino was the “VIP”, there were even more special VIPs who were being invited to enter that VIP room, adding that those who managed to enter were regulars at this casino.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As it would be too suspicious and forced to be requested to be taken into the VIP room on our first visit here, Toki decided that we shall just gather more information at the area we were currently at. Ran decided to rely on Shiki to check out the surroundings as the cameras on us was too difficult to take a good record down on the surroundings.
So thus, Shiki started walking around the casino, and Kuki who was watching through the camera noticed the VIP door and requested Shiki to walk closer so as to take a closer look at it. He wondered whether the door could be broken down and that almost cause Shiki to take action right now at that point of time. It gave Kuki a scare as he cautioned him that this was not the time to break down the door ^^; Upon closer look, Kuki realised that it required a card key to unlock the door.
After Shiki got back from his rounds, we decided to head back for today since like what Ran had said, there’s no point in defeating the dealer as they won’t be invited into the VIP room on their first day here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We headed back without exchanging the coins we’ve won into cash, since Ran said that Shu would be angry if we’ve did that. As we were being blindfolded when we were being led to and exit from the hidden casino, Ran had no idea where is the hidden casino located. Noticing that “I” seems tired, Ran gave a weak smile and he said that we should hurry back so that he could help to remove “my” make up.
Just then someone appeared in the alley, and being defensive, Toki cautioned “me” to stay behind him. (Aww~~ >///<)
Tumblr media
Ran stopped the person who appeared in front of us and asked why does he want to approach us. However, the guy who appeared was the same mysterious guy which Suzu-kun and “I” had saved before, and he said that he had something that he wanted to pass to Takumi (Suzu-kun) and thus asked for “my” help to pass it to him. Even though Toki doesn’t really believe in him, but since “I” said it’s fine they let “me” approach him. Ran decided to let “me” head towards him,and mentioned that if “I” need any help, they’ll be right behind “me”.
Approaching the mysterious guy, he handed something to “me”, and asked “me” to please pass it to Suzu-kun. (I wonder what that item is…?)
Tumblr media
Chapter 5: 元.ハッカー / Past. Hacker
Leo greeted us when we arrived back at the detective agency, and asked where Toki and Shiki were. Ran replied that they had left the task of reporting to us and had went back for today. Leo informed us that Kuki had already taken the videos that were recorded by us just now at the casino to Class 5 to have it analyse, and thus won’t return that soon.
Just then, Kotetsu came into the office to ask Leo regarding a document, but he got a shock when he saw both Ran and “me”, that Ran found him very rude to show such an attitude when he saw him ^^; Ran joked that perhaps Kotetsu was just surprised that the two of us were too pretty but Kotetsu was just froze. He did recovered later on, and quickly escaped from the scene, as Ran gave a weak smile and wondered why was he in a hurry to get away XD
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kuki and the rest of Class 7 soon arrived to welcome us back home, and since Shiro didn’t, Kuki had to request him to specifically do so. Ran complimented that “I” performed well at the casino, but Shiro sort of dampened the spirit by stating that he already knew that from watching through the camera. That angered Ran as he felt that all the more Shiro should praised “me” instead.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Noticing that Kuki and the others had just came from Class 5′s lab, Ran asked them whether they had met Suzu-kun over there, as we’ve received a memo (from the mysterious guy) that we need to pass it over to him. Looking closely at the memo, Tsubasa realised that it seems to be made up of just a bunch of alphabets and numbers that doesn’t seems to make much sense together. In the end, all of us decided to head back to Class 5′s lab to look for Suzu-kun, though Shiro grumbled as he thought that just one person is enough to deliver the memo ^^; (Poor Shiro had to stick through with us again ^^;)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Suzu-kun still remembered about the mysterious guy once we mentioned that he was that guy who came and eat over at the agency. He was surprised to receive this memo and he couldn’t understand what was written on the memo either. However, he guessed that these letters must have a certain meaning to it if not the mysterious guy won’t have wanted to pass it over to him specially.
Naoto was about to get some sleep when Suzu-kun stopped him and asked him to help to decipher it, as it was actually Naoto’s forte in deciphering such stuff. Tsubasa informed “me” that before Naoto became a detective, he was actually a hacker. (Wow… OWO”) Even though Naoto grumbled that he’s going to sleep already and in fact his brain had already shut down, Suzu-kun managed to coax him into helping out by telling him that he would make something sweet to reward him later on. Won over by Suzu-kun, Naoto took over the memo to take a look at it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Seems that Naoto still didn’t like the mysterious guy from last time as he deemed him as the one who stole his dinner back then, even though Suzu-kun reminded him that he did make his share as well the last time ^^;)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As he pondered what could the letters mean, Naoto asked Suzu-kun whether he had talked about anything with the mysterious guy the last time they met. (He initially guessed it could be a password, but it rang no bells… =w=“) However, he ended up managed to access a website by keying the letters the other way round instead on the computer, and turns out that website was a hidden website of the organization  “Beto”. (Woah! Somehow we had gotten a huge lead this way! +W+)
The rest of us were impressed with his hacking skills, and while Naoto claimed that it was just something very normal he could do, he ended up blushing a little as though he’s not used to being praised. (Aww~ Unexpectedly, Naoto had a cute side XD)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shiro asked whether we could get any useful information from this hidden site of “Beto”,and thus it became Naoto’s job once again to decipher and analyse this site. (So much for getting sleep, Naoto =w=“) Ran and “I” decided to head off first, as we still had reporting to do later on, and Kuki was surprised by this unexpected lead given to us suddenly.
Tumblr media
Chapter 6: 隱れた天才 / The Hidden Genius
Shu came over after knowing that there’s a new lead which had arrived for us, and Kuki also explained that it was because Naoto that we too have high security to prevent others from accessing to our database easily. (How cute Suzu-kun was impressed of Naoto’s computer skills +W+)
Tumblr media
Naoto explained to Shu that even if they could access to Beto’s website, they’ll need a user id and password to login to some parts of the website which were off access to them, and Naoto said that part of the site had an even high security that it would be very difficult to hack into it. In the end, he agreed to help Shu to try hack into within a night, and asked Suzu-kun to make some supper for him~
The next morning, Leo was suprised to find Naoto was up so early, but unfortunately instead of getting up early, Naoto explained that he had stayed up through the night. Since Kuki had arrived later on, Naoto handed him a memory card, saying that he had copied everything he could from the site onto it so that they could take a look at it later on. With that, Naoto bidded good bye to them as he head off to bed. Shu thanked him for his help and told him that he would wake him up if anything were to happen later on. For Naoto, he really hoped that nothing would happen though… (so that he could at least take a good nap~)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Looking through the data that Naoto had retrieved for them, Kuki were surprised to find that it consisted of the data of customers who went to the illegal casino. Shu decided to compile the information into a folder, and requested Leo to send them to Class 3 so that they could use it in their investigation.
Kuki thought that the information seems abit too little under such a high security password, but Shu explained that the site might just be a temporary place where the members exchanged information, adding that their main database where they stored their data may be located elsewhere instead. After the members from “Beto” had retrieved the information from the site, they would delete it.
However, even when a file is deleted, there would still be some traces left, and Naoto had already recovered those that he could from the site. Shu and Kuki looked at the recovered files, and Leo who had came back recognised that one of the files was actually a design plan of a card key system. Shu suspected that this maybe the card key system which has just been changed into after the day the illegal casino had been discovered, since “Beto” might have panicked and worried that their other illegal casinos maybe discovered, they decided to change all their locks and upgrade their security.
Shu asked Leo whether he could helped to create a copy of the card  key from this design plan of the system, Leo answered that he could create a copy since there’s the design of the IC chip on the plan itself, but without knowing how the card looks like in reality, he found it hard to replicate the card key. Kuki mentioned that the look of the card key might have been recorded down in the video by Shiki and us yesterday, and requested the help of Class 5 to take a look at it. Even though re-creating the card key by himself would be a hard task for Leo, he’s confident that he would be able to accomplish it along with the help of Class 5.
Kuki was impressed with Leo and apologised to him that he had always thought of him as someone who just make weird inventions. However, that made Leo sad to know that Kuki had always felt this way towards his inventions ^^;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Naoto was awake just after sleeping for 30mins, and grumbled that Shu must have wanted him to overwork to death. (I feel kind of bad for Naoto at this point of time, this guy just couldn’t take a break TWT) Suzu-kun tried to cheer him up by offering a bowl of miso soup to wake himself up, with Leo apologising too since he needed Naoto’s help as it would take him too much time to make the card key by himself.
Tumblr media
Just then, Tsubasa and Shiro had arrived, since Kuki had informed them that the case had a new lead, though Shiro wasn’t pleased with how annoying Kuki was by awaking him through the phone. (Kuki just thought of himself giving a “loving” morning call though? XD)
Since Class 3 was in charge of the list of the customers who went to the illegal casino, Kuki explained that Class 7 would be in charge of the other information instead.
Tsubasa wondered what on earth is the organisation “Beto” all about, and what exactly are they doing making these people disappear…
Tumblr media
Chapter 7: 追う者と追われる者 / The Chaser and the one being Chased
Over at Cyan, Shu had summoned for all the class, so Mahiro guessed that Shu must have gotten some really huge leads on “Beto” currently. Shu showed a photo, which was actually one that was taken by “me” when Class 7 was going undercover in the casino, and that photo showed the entrance of the illegal casino. Another photo of mine was taken at the time Shiro and “I” were attacked by these mysterious and weird people back then, and “I” had unknowingly taken alot of photo as “I” was pressing onto the shutter. That photo showed the people who had attacked us, and it clearly showed that they had animal ears under their hood.
However, Tsubasa mentioned that these people do not have a smell for them to trace, and Kuki guessed that they must have used something that can helped to erase and hide their scent, since Class 5 had also made something like that. These were used by Class 2 and Class 6 too in the past. Knowing that “Beto” had also used something like this, Toki guessed that the other party must have known that the detective agency have “kenrouzuou” in it and didn’t want them to track them down. (So thus they would erase their own scent and make themselves hard to find.)
Shu even went onto suspecting that there’s a great possibility that the people in “Beto” might even be “Kenrouzoku” like them too, and this is why they would need to treat this matter carefully, since if they’re facing an enemy that’s as powerful as them, it would be difficult to defeat them as they themselves might get defeated instead.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tsubasa wondered why those “kenrouzoku’ would want to create a secret society like this, but Senri explained that there wasn’t what they should be pondering about right now. The important thing they should do now was to find out the owner of the illegal casino and stopped their actions. However, in order to meet the owner, they would need to enter that VIP room in the illegal casino. Saying that if they took too much time, the suspect might have escaped, Senri proposed that they shall not use the “right” way to enter it. (Haha, talk about breaking the law… ^^;) Shu continued on by saying that Leo had actually created a card key that would allow them to enter the VIP room, and since there’s only one card key being created currently, Leo cautioned them not to lose it.
Kuki wondered how they should even enter the illegal casino this time round, since if they asked someone in the casino to bring them again, there’s a high possibility of being discovered when they use the copied card key. Senri decided that they shall just break into the illegal casino and use the card key outside of the working hours, so as to minimise the risk of being discovered. Kuki was shocked that Senri knew about the location of the illegal casino, since the last time Ran and us exited the place, we were all being blind folded so that we would now know where it is located.
Senri explained that Chihiro had actually came across Ran’s scent when he was out for a walk, and spotted someone holding onto a cloth with Ran’s scent. That person was actually the boy Ran had talked to and lent him his handkerchief the last time they met at the illegal casino! (Wow… so somehow Ran had helped to save the day~! ^^) Chihiro had also spotted a weird and strange entrance near the building too, and so they deduced that that must be the entrance to the illegal casino.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next morning, Class 7 were awake and had gathered together, even though Kuki himself was still feeling quite sleepy. It was a class rule that the whole of Class 7 should gather for breakfast, as Shiro grumbled that this was a rule with no meaning behind it. Kuki pouted and claimed that this was the time for them to communicate, and it was not a rule that has no meaning~ (I bet Kuki just wanted everyone to be much closer together by having breakfast together ^^)
Tumblr media
They had also invited Leo to join them, but since Leo wasn’t here, Kuki guessed that he might have overslept and decided to head to his room to wake him up. However, Leo wasn’t at his room either, and it’s highly impossible that he would went out to have breakfast by himself as the food made by Suzu-kun were really delicious that one would think twice to eat outside actually.
Suddenly, Kuki noticed a familiar object on the floor in Leo’s room - a very familiar looking pin badge…
Tumblr media
Chapter 8: 消えたレオ / Disappearing Leo
Kuki quickly got us over to look at the pin badge that he had found, and said this was not the time to feel relaxed that Leo was gone. The pin badge was similar to the one which “I” had picked up at the casino when it was dropped by someone over there, and they’ve get to know later on that the pin badge belonged to people from “Beto”… This was then that they realised that there’s a high possibility that Leo was kidnapped by the people from “Beto”! (Oh no… Leo… TWT)
Tumblr media
Shiro wondered why the people from “Beto” would want to kidnap Leo, but seeing that pin badge was dropped at Leo’s room, they couldn’t ignore this possibility, so Kuki got Tsubasa to go and inform Shu about this fact, and Shiro to head to Class 5 to hand them this pin badge so that they could analyze more about it. With the two of them gone, it was just “me” and Kuki left. He noticed that “I” had a really worried expression on my face, and assured “me” that Leo would be fine. (I know he means well, but the situation does seems really worrying… ><”)
Tumblr media
Back at the office where Class 1 was already there as they get to know about Leos disappearance, Shu asked Kuki whether they had called Leo through his phone. Kuki answered that Hijiri had actually helped to call several times earlier on but it gets no answer nevertheless.
Rui asked that whether it was ture that “Beto” had really kidnapped Leo, that Shu answered that even though they can’t be 100% sure about it, there’s a very high possibility that it may be that way from how things look like now. Senri was confused that why was Leo the one being kidnapped out of them, since he had never participated in any of the investigations and should be those that had the lowest risk of being targeted. Shu thought that this was not really the time for them to discuss why Leo was being targeted though, since what’s important right now was to find out where is Leo now and to make sure that he’s safe.
Tumblr media
Naoto was once again woke up forcefully (by Shiro this time) as he complained once again that just as he thought he was able to sleep peacefully for now. Since there was no one available in Class 5 right now, Shiro had no choice by to bring Naoto over to the office this time. (Suzu-kun had gone to the supermarket in the morning, and Hina was resting for today as he had went to a all night horror show yesterday night…)
Seeing Naoto was here, Kuki handed to him the pin badge which he had found earlier on, and requested him to analyse it for him. Since Leo wasn’t contactable through the phone, Shu worried that perhaps his mobile phone was being abandoned elsewhere. In the end, Shu decided to get everyone to gather once again, as this incident might be a major one if Leo was indeed really kidnapped by “Beto”.
Tumblr media
With everyone gathered at Cyan once again, Shu started giving instructions as they planned to rescue Leo. Firstly, Class 1 would be in charge of giving out instructions and overseeing the whole operations. Next, Class 2 and 4 would work together to help to make sure that there’s a clear exit route for the other teams to escape once they’ve rescued Leo. Class 3 and 6 would be acting as security police, to prevent and protect the enemy from attacking them, though Senri told them if they’re capable of catching the enemy, they could do that too XD Class 6 would stay behind to help protect the headquarters, in case the enemy decided to attack here when everyone is gone, and Class 3 would stay on standby at an area near to the illegal casino.
Class 5 would continue with their usual tasks of analyzing information, and as for Class 7… they would be in charge of going undercover into the illegal casino. (Wow… is it really alright to leave such an important task to us?! OWO”)
Tumblr media
After the meeting, “I” had met Rui at the data room once again, and had asked him whether Leo would be alright. Rui wasn’t pleased to see “me”, and told “me” that he had no idea whether Leo would be aright or not, since Rui was only giving out information of the detective agency to the other party, and somehow the other party decided to target Leo after they had analysed the information that had been given to them. (Rui is really such a betrayer! D:)
However, Rui had already decided that this was something that he wanted to do and had to do so that he could have his “revenge”, even if it means that he had to sacrifice someone. (What is this “revenge” he’s talking about? O.O”) He soon left as he doesn’t want to talk to “me” anymore, and asked “me” not to bother him anymore too. (Ouch… TWT)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter 9: 奪還作戰 / The Operation to Snatch Back
Chihiro was surprised that “I’ve” tagged along with Class 7, as he had thought “I” would want to stay on standby at the detective agency. Kuki gave a weak smile as he explained that he had felt that it would be dangerous to leave “me” behind and that “I’m” also a part of Class 7 too even though “I’m” just an assistant.
Seems that Class 2 was defying the orders of Shu by Hijiri getting Chihiro to come and accompany us along the way, with Class 4 too trailing after us. Tsubasa wondered that Class 4 would be discovered by the enemy if they had spotted them sneaking in behind us, but Shiro was worried more about no one helping to make sure there’s an escape route if they’re all just tailing behind us and defying orders XD However, Kuki was sure that everything would work out, and that he himself would definitely not let the rest of Class 7 to do something that they felt troubled about.
Tumblr media
Rui was in contact with us through the earphones, and told us that with the security cameras on the street, he would be able to spot if there’s any enemies that had appeared and would notified them if that happens. Suddenly, Senri mentioned that a guy in a hood was spotted around 50 metres away from us, and thus Kuki decided that they shall speed across the road in order not to be discovered by the guy. Since “I” couldn’t run as fast as them, Kuki proposed that Shiro shall carry “me” while he ran, and though Shiro complained that he would be able to run fast while carrying “me”, he still decided to do it in the end, and asked “me” to climb onto him ^^
Tumblr media
We’ve finally made our way to the alley, with Tsubasa being impressed that Shiro had actually able to run at the same speed as them even while he was carrying “me”. Chihiro bidded good bye to us as he led us to the entrance he had found to lead to the illegal casino. (Oh, so that’s why Chihiro was with us~)
Tumblr media
Though at this time, with the illegal casino isn’t opened yet, it doesn’t mean that there won’t be anyone in it even if there’s no customers. Kuki instructed us that our main priority was to head straight towards the VIP room as soon as possible once we’re inside. Even if there’s a chance that we might meet someone from “Beto” inside, Kuki cautioned us to avoid fighting with them since our main motive in coming here was to rescue Leo, not to fight with “Beto”.
On the other side, Yanagi who was with the rest of Class 2, asked Hijiri on what they’re supposed to do in regarding ensuring the escape route. However, Hijiri aswered that they’re not doing that as he was just awaiting for Chihiro to return currently. You started to get worried for Leo as he wondered whether he would get scared when he was being captured. Hijiri gave a chocolate to You to cheer him up, and asked him to smile so that he could welcome Leo back with it when he had returned.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter 10: ベート / Beto
In the meanwhile, Class 4 who was trailing behind us had also entered the illegal casino, with Izana asking Mahiro whether it was alright for them to stay here and not following them even further inside. Mashiro answered that they should stay here on standby, though they should be careful not to get discovered by anybody from “Beto”.
Even though Ran believed in what Mashiro was doing, he was curious why was Mashiro defying Shu’s instructions and doing something different. (Since they’re supposed to be making sure of the escape route for Class 4, not be on standby here ^^:) However, Mashiro didn’t want to answer that so Ran guessed that it must have a certain reason that he can’t reveal now. Mashiro smiled and praised that Ran was really observant that he’s just like a girl. (Erm? Is that supposed to be a praise… or not…? o.O)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back at the detective agency, Class 5 was analysing the pin badge, which Naoto was disappointed to say that it was exactly the same as the one which “I’ve” picked up earlier on. Naoto asked Hina on how his progress is on picking up the fingerprint.
Examining even closer on the pin badge, Naoto tried to analyse how was the pin badge being dropped onto the floor, since if one could deduce how it falls, they might be able to get the height of the suspect. However, just analysing the badge doesn’t seems to get enough information for them, so Suzu-kun proposed to them that they shall head to Leo’s room next for more investigations! (Is it me or Class 5 seems to be having fun with this? Or maybe it’s just Suzu-kun having fun with this? XD)
Tumblr media
Class 1 was stationed at the dock, with Rui reporting to Shu and mentioned that it seems that multiples classes seems to be defying his orders and doing things differently. Shu was alright in letting them continuing on doing things their way, but Rui worried that they might end up obstructing the operation instead. Senri helped to speak up for Shu by explaining that those who were at the scenes know what they should do the best, since Class 1 themselves were not at the scenes themselves, they might not know everything that was going on there to give the best judgement on what to do.
Rui had another query that he asked Shu about, why was Class 1 giving out instructions here actually? (Yeah… They don’t have to do it at the dock actually, and could just stay at the agency office. OWO”)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chapter 11: 消えた人たち / The Missing People
In the meanwhile, Class 3 was on standby at a warehouse, and Sosuke was complaining why they had to be on standby since he thought that they won’t be able to protect anyone if anything were to happen at in the illegal casino at that moment. (Since they’re still quite a distance from it) Kotetsu agreed with Sousuke, and asked Rudo for the reason why they were being sent on standby here.
Kotaro tried to asked them to stop asking, since the order was passed down by Shu, and not Rudo actually. But seems that Sosuke’s and Kotetsu’s questioning had Rudo to make a change, as he told them to get ready to move off. Kaname wondered why Rudo would change his orders suddenly when they were being ordered to stay here on standby, since if they were to defy Shu’s orders, they should have started way earlier and not wait until now.
Rudo doesn’t seems to want to answer them yet, but the rest of the Class 3 believed in his decisions, and decided to go along with him.
Tumblr media
Class 6 had also defied against Shu’s order, with Shiki heading out of the detective agency and Toki following behind him, asking him why is he not following Shu’s orders. However, Shiki only gave a really weak reason that Toki found it unacceptable, though he agreed with Shiki finding it weird that “Beto” has targeted Leo instead of Shu instead as it would have been more effective if they aimed for Shu instead. Toki sighed as he grumbled that Shiki would never understand about his feelings. (These two just never gets along… =w=“)
Tumblr media
Back to Class 7 where we’ve finally made our way into the illegal casino after going a long way down underground. Since the illegal casino was located deep underground, it’s no wonder that the detectives were unable to hear any sounds of it above ground. Kuki instructed us to hide behind the bar counter to prevent anyone from spotting us easily and asked Tsubasa what was the time now. Tsubasa answered that it’s already in the evening and there’s around an hour more to the opening of the casino. Since the staff were cleaning up and getting ready for the working day, more and more people were moving around in the casino.
Just then, Tsubasa noticed that the staff members in the casino all had the same exact badge as the one Kuki had picked up from earlier in Leo’s room. Therefore, we’re sure that these staff members were from “Beto” too. Noticing that there’s a man without a pin badge in the room, Kuki wondered who he is when an incident happened in front of our eyes.
The man was begging to the staff member to please give him more time to accumulate money to repay his debt. However, the staff spared no mercy as he held up a document, saying that they’ve now taken over his land and ordered him to leave the town, never to return again unless he would have to pay for his debt. Seeing this scenario, Kuki finally understood that this must be the reason why there’s people disappearing from this town after they’ve come to this casino, and that this is the work of “Beto”. The people who had disappeared had all accumulated a huge amount of debt from “Beto” and were all threatened and ordered to leave / “disappear” from this town.
Tumblr media
Shiro wondered why are they doing this, though, as the people had not pay off their debt, therefore, “Beto” doesn’t get to gain any money from them if they chased these people out of the town. Tsubasa mentioned that he had heard that the man were talking about land from the conversation just now, and thus Kuki suspected that “Beto” was trying to gain more land like how politicians trying to get all their supporters in one area by gaining land in a way.
Tumblr media
Chapter 12: 終著點 / The Finishing Point
As the time creeped closer to the opening time, Shiro started to worry and asked Kuki what they should do now, since it’s going to be a matter of time that they’re going to get discovered if they stayed here. However, Kuki asked us to wait for awhile as he contacted Shu, asking him for backup to help support him.
Class 4 who were in the normal casino by now were standby waiting for instructions until they were about to fall sleep XD Since Shu gave the signal to proceed with the operation, Mahiro started giving out instructions to Ran and Izana on what to do. Firstly, Ran would start running to the security alarm to set it off, and if anyone noticed Ran along the way, Izana would help up to stop the person. Mahiro would help both of them to assure an exit route as a support. And thus Class 4 get to work and managed to make the alarm rang off successfully in the end.
Class 7 who were on standby in the illegal casino heard the alarm going off, while Kuki assured us not to get alarmed as this was the work of Class 4 to help and support us. The members from “Beto” started to panic as they thought of the money from the casino above, and all started to leave to head to the casino above. Grabbing this chance, Kuki motioned to us to head towards to the VIP room. With the copied card key prepared, we’re all ready to head into the room.
(Kuki wanted “me” to hide behind him in case anything should happen, but he realised that he maybe too tiny to protect “me” and asked “me” to hide behind Tsubasa and Shiro instead XD)
Tumblr media
Once inside the VIP room, we scoured around and managed to find yet another hidden door behind the shelves, and knowing that we’re getting closer to the “Boss Room”, Kuki once again went through the main priority we had for this mission. 1. To find Leo. 2. To save Leo out. There’s no 3 and 4 but there’s no. 5, all of us had to escape safe and sound! With that, we head through the door, and found ourselves facing a new character.
“You are the last boss.” (Kuki, you are really saying it as if we’re in a RPG ^^:)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And that’s all for Episode 4, whew~! I was planning on finishing this last week but somehow only managed to finish writing the 2nd half today instead~ With a new character appearing at the end of this episode, would we get to know who he is in the next epsiode? And Leo still needs us to rescue him~
Next episode would be the last episode for the main story, so this case would come to an end~ I’ll be working on it when August comes around so please look forward to it~! ^^
