REQUEST: Anon requested; Angst + comfort. reader self harms or has suicidal tendencies because she/he thinks they’re useless around the ship or “isn’t good enough”. Reader locks themselves in the fresher and mando catches them self harming.

SUMMARY: It’s clear to you that the reason Din is going out more is to avoid you. And so you cope badly, using some of your old techniques that aren’t exactly the healthiest.

WARNINGS: Soft!Din, Dom!Din if you squint, SELF HARM (not explicit but it does show what reader is doing), Gender-neutral reader, ANGST, mature language ,pls tell me if I miss anything!

It was your fault. It had to be. Why else would Din be going out more than he needed to? You upset him and now he can’t even stay on his own kriffing ship without seeing you. Your knees buckle and you slide down the Crest wall until your on the floor. Tears prickled the edges of your eyes as you sat there sobbing to yourself. 

You didn’t know how to deal with the feelings bubbling up inside of you. You could always go back, just this once, to what you used to do almost everyday before Din-no. You’ve been so good, why would you start that again? Screw it, you NEED to. As the sobs grew heavier you bring your nails to your arm. You start with a few gentle scratches, just gliding the rim of your nails gently across the skin on your arm. But that soon ended when your mind screamed this was your fault at you, you were never good at coping with your feelings. Absent-mindedly You begin to dig your nails deeper into your skin as your hand dragged down. You deserved each and every sting that came from the action. When you felt your nails didn’t do the job you moved onto your pocket knife. You positioned the sharp object so it hovered mere inches over your arm. Just as you were about to push it down and slice into your shoulder the hatch opens. Out of pure shock you throw the knife to the side, the scattering noise echoing through the Crest. Your arms are immediately shoved behind you, a desperate attempt to hide the newly formed cuts from Din. 

The moment Din sees you hide your arms from him he knows something is up. What could you possibly be hiding from him? He tilts his head, waiting. for you to show him what you’re hiding. But you don’t. Instead you just get up and start blabbering how you needed to go to the fresher. “Show me your arms.”  Din orders just as you were about to disappear into the refresher. “W-What?” You stutter. “Your arms... show them to me.” he commands. “I-I just want to have a-a sh-ower first.” You stumble, trying to get away from the situation as quickly as possible. He knew exactly what you were doing. Whatever it was you were hiding, you really didn’t want to show him... you were trying to escape the tense situation. Din sighs. “Either you show me your arms or I will force you to.” He almost darkly says. Your hands begin shaking and you can feel tears reform. “Show me your arms mesh’la, you know I’m not going to hurt you.” he reassures, approaching you slowly. “N-no!” you say, voice shaky. “Ok.” he gently replies. And out of nowhere his hand his yanking your arms out from behind your back, it makes you hiss as his hand gripped a scratch. “Din! No!” You yell. 

When he first saw the scratches... he was... confused and angry. Did someone hurt you? The scratches didn’t look like knife wounds, more like nail wounds. The irritated lines on your arms were thin and only a few had blood seeping out of them. Then it hit him. You did this to yourself. No one else was on the ship to do it to you... and the kid was asleep.. not that he would hurt you. After inspecting your arm Din looks up to you, making direct eye contact. “Why?” Were the only words he could get out. You can’t even reply when you’re bursting out into tears. Although surprised Din pulls you into his arms and rubs your back in soothing circular motions. Heavy sobs wracked your entire body, Din held you through it all, keeping you close to his chest. You nuzzle your head into the crook of his neck trying to get impossibly closer to him. 

After a few minutes the sobs turned into small hiccups and sniffles. “Cyare?” Din whispers in your ear, the modulator barely picking it up. “M-mhm” you mumble out. “Please tell me why you did this.” He gently says whilst running his hands through your h/c hair. “I-I-I t-thought you didn’t w-ant to s-ee me t-that’s why you w-went o-ut for lo-nger than u-usual.” You admit, starting to sob slightly again. Din’s arm tighten slightly around your form. “Mesh’la I...I would ..never not want to see you.” He whispers. “I...I’m out more because.....” He takes a breath. “Because I love you... and I was scared..to admit that, but I’m saying it... I’m in love with you.”

“shut your mouth.” the words are a hiss as she glares at john. he really gets on her nerves when trying to claim she’s cheating on mark. he, of ALL PEOPLE, know the basics of what’s happened between her ‘ex’-husband. she doesn’t even want to be with mark but is terrified to confront him! she doesn’t claim to be married to him anymore! “you’re one to fucking talk!” elizabeth shouts, shoving her index finger into his chest. “i’m just some girl you fuck. i’m probably one of many women you’ve had on your dick.” her tone is low as she’s close to his face, staring up at him.

her heart aches treating him like this, but he’s made it very clear her place in his life. it’s almost like she’s with mark again. only wanted when he needs a quick fuck. “just throw me out! send me to one of your siblings and get it over with already!” she’s yelling at him.

the look in his eyes send a chill down her spine. it’s only when his hand grabs a fist full of hair and yanks her forward, a cry leaving her as his lips are close to her ear & he spats out threats to her.

she can’t focus on the threats. there’s memories of mark slapping her, his hands around her neck---in hopes of cutting off her airway. when he would shove her to the ground and laugh... everything hurts. despite what john does to her... never would she lay a hand on him....she can’t bring herself to do it. her eyes close, expecting him to push her to the ground and spit horrible things at her.

“mommy!” there’s a shriek and john is quick to let go of elizabeth’s hair, causing her to stumble back as evelyn comes running in, standing behind her mother and staring up at john. there’s fear in her eyes as she stares up at the man she’s called dad, drew pictures for, the same man who had always been kind to her. evelyn just saw john staring at her mother with such...distaste. such anger. evelyn can’t help but wonder if john stares at her the same way he looks at her mother. with anger. HATE. elizabeth stares down at evelyn, then moves to look at john. there’s silence in the room and when he takes a step towards evie with such a kind look on his face; she can’t help but hide behind elizabeth more & whimper.

there’s so much doubt in how john sees’ evelyn now, she’s scared distraught. “come on, love. we should leave john alone for a while...” elizabeth’s voice is quiet as she holds her daughter’s hand and quickly makes her way to leave his office.

evelyn and elizabeth will be sure to keep their distance from the baptist... it was never meant to be, and she is a fool for thinking it could ever work.

I’m thinking about enemies to lovers with Nate and I can’t help but think about how things change for them. Maybe she goes on a date where the date gets drunk and just becomes a pain in the ass and grabs at her possibly ripping/breaking a strap of her dress. It scares her and she takes off towards Nate and his roommates house because she knows her bestie/roommate will be there. She’s crying by the time she gets there because she’s scared and when Nate opens the door he is annoyed “ugh why are you here?” And then he sees she’s crying and her dress is ripped/broke (maybe she’s holding the strap or part of it up). It shuts him up pretty quick but also stuns him. Both of you have hated each other from day one and he can’t understand the emotions running through him at seeing you cry. After hearing her explain what happened he has the urge to go on a war path to find the loser who did this with his roommate/teammate, but she begs them not to. She’s so caught up in fear that she doesn’t see how his eyes and face have softened to her, but then he offers to teach her how to fight and she finally notices him. Soft concerned eyes trained on her and she can’t do anything but dumbly nod in agreement.

Wasn’t sure what kind of angst you wanted so I just did a couple headcanons

The biggest area of angst that Jason has is obviously his lack of trust. This occurs not only in romantic relationships, but also in his platonic relationships, and it's something he's been trying to work on the most. However, no matter how much progress he makes, or how far he comes with a person, there's always the lingering thought in the back of his head that one day that person is going to abandon him.

This ties into the other point of contention for him, which is his possessive nature. Jason's generally fine in his normal form; in that form, his biggest concern is how he comes off to others, wanting to maintain his high social standing. In his true form, however, he is much more dominating, especially with his partners, wanting to make sure that he stays your favorite, that he's the person closest to you, that you don't want to get away from him.

Leading into the third point, Jason isn't as socially confident as he parades himself around to be. Yeah, he can talk big and manipulate anyone he needs to, but when it comes time to actually communicate with the people important to him he tends to struggle, not wanting to ruin any of his relationships, and thus coming off meaner than he intends to in most cases, even if he means well about it.

Headcanon for WIBAR: What if one of the things that are poisonous to most aliens but not to humans is chocolate, and they keep some on the ship for its other uses (IDK what does r) but Virgil finds it and he just. Eats. All of it. AND THEY DONT KNOW HE IS TOLERANT so Patton walks In to a room to see Virgil eating some and just kinda yells NO WAIT PLEASE, VIRGIL DONT DO IT!! cuz angssstttttt

1. BASICS

THREE FACTS:

1.  i’ve got two cats named taishi and kyoko, but they live with my dad rn because my place doesn’t allow pets. which i hate. also, taishi is massive, he’s bigger than a lot of small dogs. 2.  I have a weakness for phone games? i’m super picky about them but once i find one to invest myself in, i INVEST MYSELF. this has mainly shown itself in love live: school idol festival where i will work hard to do well in events and... i have actually put money into it... don’t look at me just leave me to my waifus.... 3.  my depression has sliced my ability to focus on things into itty bitty pieces, so while i WANT to be watching tv shows and movies, most of what i watch rn is youtube. largely gameplays.

2. EXPERIENCE

HOW LONG (MONTHS / YEARS?): er... probably 6 or 7 years? i’ve been bad at keeping track. PLATFORMS YOU’VE USED: proboards, other forums, tumblr, dreamwidth BEST EXPERIENCE: dreamwidth tbh. playing in panfandom games there is so much fun bc it really allows you to develop your character and relationships with other characters. if you find the right game and the right people, good god can you have a great time. i do like tumblr, but there are a lot of aspects that i... don’t care for. dwrp worked better for me in a lot of ways but, due to weird anxiety issues that i don’t even know how to explain to myself, i took a step back and decided to chill on tumblr with much fewer muses than i was juggling on dw.

3. MUSE PREFERENCES

FEMALE OR MALE: i don’t really have a preference, per se. i’ve loved the males and females that i’ve written, but i do find that i tend to have more male muses. and my strongest muses have all been male. MULTI OR SINGLE: single. it’s much cleaner and just easier to handle. i personally find multi-muse blogs to be kind of messy and frustrating to sort through. i like having separate spaces/blogs for each of my muses.

4.  WRITING PREFERENCES

FLUFF, ANGST OR SMUT: angssstttttt. i can write angst for days. i just really love getting to explore darker themes, and dig deep into characters’ issues and flaws, whatever they may be. i’m just one of those people who has fun hurting my muses lmao. that said, i do love me some fluff too, i just find it harder to hold a thread sometimes. and smut’s good too, if i’m playing a sexual character. i’ve... only ever written smut with one of my muses, actually, but it was always fun. it’s one of those things where i have to be in the right frame of mind to write, though. PLOTS OR MEMES: both tbh. i looooove to discuss and plot things and create aus and all that, but i’m also down for just memeing it up. some of my best threads have come from memes. there are a lot of directions they can take you, and i really love the potential. LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: long is definitely my preference. i love getting into detail about everything -- a character’s actions, thoughts, feelings, just all of it. i find long replies more rewarding, personally. but i still enjoy short replies too! quick little things can be fun, though i do oftentimes struggle to keep replies short. i just automatically want to elaborate on why my character is doing or saying this thing. BEST TIME TO WRITE: just about any time tbh. whenever i’m feeling it. of course, right after watching canon or discussing aus or doing some character analysis i’m more pumped up, but. unless my brain is disagreeing with me, i’m usually good to write just about any time. ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S): i do think i have a tendency to gravitate towards muses i relate to in some way or another. that’s been the case with a lot of the characters i play/have played. as for shiro? mm i’d say we aren’t without similarities, but we’re definitely not super alike. i’m supportive of the people i care about, but there are times when i’m like ‘are u sure that’s a good idea/that’s safe/that you should be doing that’. i would probs be the parent friend if i had a friend group tbh. also hahahahaha bottling up emotions and problems and shoving them under the bed so as to not deal with them.
