BASICALLYY the transformers r alien robots from the planet cybertron!! they are fighting a civil war and eventually all the fighting wrecks the planet n the battle gets moved 2 earth!! there r two sides, the good guys called the autobots (led by a guy called optimus prime he is popular n beloved in the franchise n fandom) and the evil bad guys r called the Decepticons!! they are led by their evil leader Megatron!! OP and megs are sworn enemies n fight sm, the wars been going on for like over 4 million years (these guys live a LONGGG time) on earth, the autobots r nicer and treat the humans better than the cons anyways (tho no bot/con is rlly pure their like all war criminals LMAOOO) u would not BELIEVEE their mfing drama!! the pettyness of these mech mfs fr

ANYWAYZZ another rlly cool thing abt the series is the many canon queer bots!!! :D their mostly in the idw comics tho, such as the comic series 'more than meets than the eye' and lost light' which features multiple main characters who r gay and have a bunch of mlm relationships, as well as lost light having some t4t lesbians who r prominent EEE it so cool to see!! another example of transgenderformers is in the newest show 'transformers earthspark' which features one of the main characters who is nonbinary!! their sooo cool :]!!

now AHEM some recommendations r below for tf shows that I rlly like (NO PRESSURE TO WATCH/CONSUME ANY OF THESE THO!! i just rlly always like linking tf stuff it makes me happy :3 i wont mind at all if these just sit here foreva i just am like YAYY when i have to find linkies it is very fun!!)

the first tf show I ever watched is Transformers Prime!! I’d def start here bc it’s good for beginners new to the series, has lore, action, rlly good characters r plot!! Very dearly beloved by the fandom :] has three seasons n a movie! links to view it 4 free below:

Spring 2018 - Final Impressions

Sorry this post is so late (again)! I had a *really* busy July, which really didn’t help at all. But anyway, here’s my thoughts on the shows that I finished this past season! All but one are sequels, though (and the one non-sequel was a carryover from last season)... Don’t worry, I’ll watch stuff like Megalobox and Hinamatsuri eventually! :’D

All “reviews” are listed in alphabetical order!

Amanchu! Advance - 8.0 / 10 (B-)

I liked season 2 as a whole! (Except for one episode / thing…)

QUEERBAITING SUCKS

I dunno if this is the fault of the anime or the source material…

…but this is still the most blatant example I’ve ever watched >_>

episode 11 didn’t need to happen!!! Why couldn’t Kokoro just… be a girl

or y’know, just let Pikari and Teko continue to “love” each other as they have! OTL

maybe why it annoyed me so much is that it’s like… a total bait & switch that went on for 2 SEASONS

to be fair, the reveal kinda went over my head? But when r/anime pointed it out, that’s when the salt began :/

yet the finale still has them blushing over reading thank you notes? It’s like this show wants its cake & eat it too

at the end of the day, the Kokoro stuff just… got in the way of Teko & Pikari’s interactions, platonic or not >_>

Also I’m one of the few people who actually liked the Peter arc

and it gave Ai some spotlight time!!!

it’s nice to have a little story arc to change things up (as opposed to an episodic structure)

(though I understand why many didn’t care for it… it leans a lot more towards supernatural than usual)

IMO they at least gave precedent w/ that one lucid dreaming episode w/ Teko, though

AND THERE’S ACTUAL SCUBA DIVING THIS TIME \o/

the underwater moments can be very magical… definitely the visual highlight

And the cast of characters is still enjoyable to watch too~ (def. a good group dynamic there)

Kokoro is considered a polarizing character for sure

I didn’t mind him that much until, y’know… his gender reveal led to the queer-baiting thing >_>

The finale was really nice though! It had pretty diving scenes and had cute Teko & Pikari moments~

In any case, this is still a very relaxing and heartwarming anime~

It has all the things I enjoyed about S1 here; it’s just the things added on top were a mixed-bag

Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card - 8.0 / 10 (B)

EVERYONE IN THIS SHOW IS BEING VAGUE AS SHIT

But at least the mystery is interesting!

It’s just too bad it took like… 20 episodes to start getting any kind of explanation :’)

I actually watched the original series through a r/anime rewatch at the end of last year!

(meaning there wasn’t much time for me going from that series to this sequel)

I enjoyed the callbacks to the original series as well!

(including going from *anime* canon! i.e. the 2nd movie actually being canon)

The visuals look nice! Even though it almost looks a bit… *too* rounded in comparison to the original

I enjoyed watching Sakura capture all the new cards in different ways~

Even though this season was VERY light on plot (mostly), this aspect provided the action~

Also I enjoyed watching the character interactions too ^^

But yeah… the lack of overarching plot development and VAGUENESS kinda holds this season back

that being said, the final episodes set up some potentially interesting developments to come

and the finale itself *definitely* was not a conclusive one, so S2 better be confirmed soon!

Overall, I still enjoyed this continuation for the things it did right! I’ll be looking forward to a S2~

Darling in the FranXX - 8.0 / 10 (B)

Well this is/was a… polarizing show, to say the least.

I enjoyed it overall, but certain things about it hold it back from a higher score for me.

There’s two main elephants in the room with this series, really

#1 is… the heteronormativity

this was basically from the get-go, and in the roots of the story / themes itself

since the themes revolve around male/female partnerships & the importance of that… Yeah

one of the core quotes being “a female and a male aren’t complete w/o the other” …Yeah, again

also the sex-like positions of the “stamen” and “pistil” while piloting also doesn’t help

the workings of this world’s society has hetero relationships as the standard and doesn’t really allow for other options

(i.e. the FranXX piloting, Ikuno’s female attraction not working out in both operating the mech & her feelings for Ichigo, etc.)

at least Ikuno and Ichigo got a scene to talk about their attraction feelings & make up somewhat ^^

plus the Nines are basically gender non-binary but are seen as antagonistic forces for most of the show… Yeah

and just basic hetero things (like sex & pregnancy) were like being attacked in this show (when it’s not in real life???)

there’s an image meme that’s like “no, Prime Minister Abe… this will not get people to have babies” (…agreed :’D)

sure, there are *many* ways you can interpret this show, but the fact that so many people have seen it as such is Not Good

#2 is… the show supposedly “jumping the shark” towards the end

the main culprit of this (for many people) seems to be the “suddenly aliens!” reveal in episode ~20

this didn’t really impact my enjoyment of the show at all, but I definitely understand why people would be disappointed

in a way, it does kinda shift the story away from the themes it was using prior to this…

perhaps the lack of foreshadowing was another reason the shift in plot didn’t go well

plus it tends to directly riff off of certain visual cues from other mecha (like Eva & Gurren Lagaan)

Those two main gripes aside, the directing & visuals in this show were what kept me interested throughout

music choices, visual choices, etc. just really made certain moments better than they probably should’ve been

I enjoyed the characters as a group as well (even if most of them individually weren’t anything to write home about)

Goro’s a good bro, Ichigo went through good development, Kokoro & Mitsuru developed as a good pair…

Futoshi ended up being kind of a fat joke to the end though (& it was interesting that him & Kokoro didn’t end up together)

of course, Zero Two is the one everyone loved (& I liked her & Hiro’s dynamic as well)

sure, some people felt like she had “no personality” after she realized the truth about Hiro, but I didn’t mind the change

Plus I like that this show had a… pretty good ending, actually! (All things considered)

Directing as always was on point, and we got to see everyone’s lives over time (& Hiro + Zero Two eventually re-uniting as kids)

I just wish the main group got to see the two of them again :’)

though I do wish VIRM actually got full-on destroyed instead of a “we might come back” ending :/

and the ending was also kinda like “oh yeah, all the Children sent away didn’t actually die!” ???

This show will likely have a legacy not unlike Guilty Crown going forward, but I thought it ended better than that show, for the record

But yeah, this show is far from perfect and has questionable themes. But I still enjoyed it over all for the things it did well~’

Nanatsu no Taizai S2 - 8.0 / 10 (B-)

Unfortunately, not as good as S1 (but I still enjoyed this season overall)

S1 felt like its own self-contained story, but this season is clearly a “Part 1” for things to come

I wish Diana had more to do this season… she lost her memory early on and STILL doesn’t have it back

she was out of the main conflict (& separated from the group) for most of it :/

she also had these WEIRD ANGLES & POSES all the time… the fan service w/ her was *Really* distracting

the only consolation is that we got to learn some backstory for her & meet her fellow giants

oh well, at least she’s met up with King again and is enjoying his company by the end :)

The Gowther twist is interesting, but the way they revealed it was kinda… underwhelming

plus that *also* hasn’t been resolved yet (like many other things this season)

Some good moments this season were centered around Ban

such as his relationship w/ Jericho, time w/ a resurrected Elaine, and the small arc w/ his foster dad :’)

Also the final Sin got introduced w/ Escanor! PRAISE THE SUN

he’s a fun character; skittish by night and INVINCIBLE by day

The addition of power levels was kinda weird

it wasn’t necessary in S1, so why add it now???

The training arc gave us a full flashback to Melodias’ past w/ losing Liza, which was nice (and sad ;~; )

plus the vs. 10 Commandments fight actually showed Melodias full-on dying? That doesn’t happen much

it was a brutal death too! Hard to watch ;~;

plus they even changed the OP animation to reflect that he died… now that’s commitment

of course he came back later on, but there’s a catch… (since he loses some emotions every time)

There were some good fights, mostly during the “tournament” arc

(especially Melodias vs. all commandments… a sakuga highlight for sure)

The finale had a good stopping point, but it definitely makes clear that the story’s not over

so yeah, unlike season 1, this season *needs* a season 3 to be worth the watch

So yeah, there were some good moments & fights this season, but as a whole, it’s weaker than S1

Shokugeki no Souma S3 (Part 2) - 8.5 / 10 (B+)

I enjoyed this season! Continuing on the darker tone that the first half of S3 set up

This plot line of Central taking over the school is still my favorite plot point thus far, tbh

in other words, shit is finally going down!

…even if many of Central are just mustache-twirling villains :’D

Erina’s gotten great development from this arc too…! She’s not just a typical stuck-up tsundere anymore

her backstory is definitely a harsh one. It was great seeing her gain the courage to stick up to dad!

We also learned more about Souma’s dad! :O

Especially about how he was seen as feared, and the pressure of success got to him :’(

along with how this backstory tied into Asami’s motivations as well

Most of the season was kinda a gauntlet of opponents for the “resistance” to face off against

seeing Akira turn evil (for a bit) was interesting, but it’s a good thing he turned good again~

we oddly haven’t seen a lot of the Elite Ten in cooking action yet???

The final part of the season started off the big Team Shokugeki! …but it only got through the first round

the stakes are definitely high for this one, and also seems like the big conflict of this arc for sure

it’s just, y’know… the season ending in the middle is not a good look, really

at least the ending wasn’t abrupt; it was open-ended but still had a sense of conclusion

All in all, a good second half of season 3 (with some of my favorite plot content thus far!). Keep it up!

Just finished Voltron season 5 and I have a lot of things to say so

It’s under the cut if you wanna avoid spoilersssss

WHEW BOY HOWDY WAS THAT A SEASON!! It was a season. A very good season which I enjoyed

First of all, I just want to say that I highly, HIGHLY doubt Zarkon is dead. It was just too easy, too simple, too quick of a death. He’s been the main villain for five seasons, there’s absolutely no way they could kill him off just like that and get away with it. Also, what about Haggar? We didn’t see her reaction to that. I mean. That’s her HUSBAND. And he’s supposedly dead. And she has her memories of loving him, so shouldn’t she have been more upset about his death?? It doesn’t make any sense to me, that we’ve had all this buildup, and Lotor just goes and kills him like it’s the easiest thing in the world. When it’s been obvious from the beginning that he was supposed to be killed in a final great battle against Voltron. I’m sure that he’ll come back and take the throne from Lotor, ruining all their hard work and their alliance. Idk //shrugs

Also about Lotor I. I still can’t trust the dude honestly, maybe it’s because he’s such a Loki character to me lol so I’m just waiting for him to double cross the Paladins, or be forced into a situation where he has to betray them for the sake of his empire or smth. Also I’m getting Lotor/Allura vibes and I don’t......know how to feel about it. If Lotor were CONFIRMED as a protagonist through and through with no intentions to betray Team Voltron, then yeah I might like the two of them together? They seem to get along well, and being a prince and a princess would fit, and they both have Altean blood so! I’m still a bit skeptical about Lotor tho so I’m not going to get my hopes up about him being good until I’m 100% sure

And Shiro.....man he was such a dick this season lmao I wanted to punch him so many times;; Still have a high belief in the whole clone theory. Maybe he doesn’t REALIZE he’s a clone yet, and that’ll be his big character arc in the upcoming seasons. He’ll probably end up having to choose between Team Voltron and the Galra, whoever created him, and then die protecting Team Voltron? That’s what I think anyway ^^ I really want to know what he said to Lance when they were in that weird warp space or whatever too...

I saw the title of the last episode and thought, “AN EXTRA LION?!!!!” It would’ve been so cool if Allura found a white lion, and with that addition to Voltron it becomes the most invincible and unstoppable mech in the universe haha. Allura could pilot the white lion and everyone could go back to their previous lions, so we could get Keith back ;w;

ABOUT KEITH THO!! I WAS REALLY UPSET SINCE HE WASN’T AROUND AS MUCH and he’s my fave so. I missed him so much. Also I totally called it right after seeing Krolia that she was Keith’s mom I mean there is a HUGE family resemblance idk how Keith didn’t realize right away that it was her. But I was shouting “IT’S KEITH’S MAMA!! HIS MAMA!! SHE’S SO PRETTY I LOVE HER” and gosh everyone got a nice family thing this season; Pidge and Matt were reunited with their dad, and Keith finally got to meet his mom. I’m excited to see their family dynamic next season, and how Keith reacts to her presence. I just wanna see her teach him stuff tbh, and dote on him

But anyway yeah I really enjoyed it!! I loved the white hole dynamic, that was so cool, and I’m excited for the next season. I want to see Shiro exposed, and have Keith come back to Voltron and be with Lance and everyone else again...! Also once again I’m gonna reiterate that Zarkon is definitely not dead, that was waaaay too easy of a death for me to accept lol

Drift

Drift is the sweetest of the sweets.

He’s a romantic and definitely the happy guy in those Japanese dating sims tbh. He’ll leave flowers outside your hab from whatever planet they just came from, and he’s always just a gentlemech in general.

And that means ‘ladies first’ as he holds the door open for you.

Also, if you will, he’ll tell you about his theories about the Knights and all that religion he’s into. He appreciates it when people listen to him, especially you.

His favorite thing to do with you would be meditating. It’s his big fav. When you fidget and squirm then try your best to go back to sitting straight and still he finds it so adorable. He’s honestly tempted to stop and just cuddle you forever. You’re so adorable to him! Let him love you! He will tease you about it later btw.

Ultra Mangus

Ultra Magnus legitimately misses Verity, that being said he’s starved from lack of physical contact.

This is the most troubling relationship, ever, inside and out. On some days, Magnus might be paying more attention to you, while on other days he’s trying to stop mechs from doing dumb things around the ship. And maybe, if you care about rules and regulations as much as he does, you’ll haul them to the brig yourself, (don’t ask me how).

But I feel like that’s not what Magnus needs in a partner. Yeah, it’d be nice to have one who knows about the rules as much as he does, but he needs someone who will help him take a step back and relax if he’s gone too far, stressing out over nothing or just, in general, taking his work more serious than usual. And he takes everything seriously. I feel like then he’d be truly happy.

As much as he likes it when you ride on his shoulders, he really likes to do things that involve him being your size. Like hand holding. And cuddling. And more hand holding. But he doesn’t do actually PDA as the green bean or the Magnus armor, so it’s more for when you are alone in your shared hab.

That being said, he’ll be out of his armor, and you’ll be lying next to each other, fingers interlocked as he plays with your combined hands together, and you’ll have your head rested on his shoulder. For him being in his reducible form, he’s really warm. And he’s just talking, rambling at this point, but you don’t care. To just be with him like this is the best of times you’ll have with him on the ship. You snuggle closer to him.

Whirl

Whirl and you are literally the Abbott and Costello of the Lost Light I can’t even begin. Shit has hit the fan and people are fighting? You bet your asses you two making it worse.

Even if you might be more chill and do goofy pranks, Whirl still will run down the halls literally trying to fight someone to show off to you. And by Primus, he can be such a show-off. He’s showing off all the time like he’ll swag into the room you are in and show off how cool he is with a pose, while you are over there cheering him on and rather encouraging his behavior.

And surprisingly, your helping Whirl. Rung can’t even believe it, but when you came into his life, he got much more cheerful than cocky. And on multiple occasions, he’s caught himself ‘going soft’ and claims “your rubbing off on me, fleshy” as you giggle.

The happiest of times are either when you are just having a jolly good time with Whirl and the gang a Swerve’s, or sometimes he can’t sleep at night, and he’ll tell you about his time in the wreckers until he tires himself out, which can be really interesting, with the over exaggerations. Either that, or you’ll play a shitty action/romance movie so he falls asleep (idk about you guys, but I’d definitely bring a TV on the LL), and if your lucky, you’ll be in his cockpit. Which is surprisingly comfy.

One time you fell asleep in there are woke up with Whirl’s head all curled up to your side and claws around your protectively. You smiled and fell back asleep petting his head.

Swerve

Swerve. How do I begin? It’s a really fun relationship. You’d be a waitress at his bar and I would really like to compare you guys to Sam and Diane, but it’s not that kind of relationship. He’s a talkative mech who needs an s/o who will either listen to him and to what he says or someone as talkative as him.

He loves it when you listen to what he says, you probably one of the only few who actually does listen and add to the conversation. And you’ll talk about anything together. Past, present, future, secrets, all of it. Well, not the secrets part, not in the bar when there are mechs like Whirl around.

And PDA is your guys’ shit. CD and RW think you are horrible, and it’s CD and RW talking. You’ll do it all in public, except kinky and be making out on the bar counter stuff.

he hasn’t been with anyone like this for millions of years.

At night he likes to just be next to you, that’s all he wants, but more like hand holding and cuddling makes it 1000% better.

Rung

Rung is the nicest bot ever in the existence of bots. He’s always putting your needs before his and being just the best. You are the light of his life. The only person to remember his name of the first try! And trust me, that never happens.

His favorite thing to do with you is probably just those hours and hours you two have spent in his office just talking and laughing about whatever thing comes to mind.

He really appreciates it when you call out whoever mispronounced his name, even though he tells you to stop.

A memorable moment was when you said you had to talk to him, and he had guessed you were going to break up with him. Having he wasn’t having the best of days, and it’s hard to be positive every hour of every day. When you finally got to his office, you hesitated before saying; “This is going to be hard to say, this isn’t easy for me.” you started, you go on talking about the happiest moments with him on the Lost Light, and he listens carefully. He’s pretty sure you are breaking up with him. And then you stop and hesitate. “I…” you start to say before you hesitate. “I love you,” you finally say. His glasses fog up He tried to say something but he choked on his words. He takes off his glasses to rub to rub them clear. “… are you okay, Rung? Was this too sudden?” you ask, “was the build up too good?!” and Rungs responds saying, “N-no, I just… I love you too.” his voice cracks. No one. No one ever told him words such as that. No one had stuck around long enough. Your words shocked him. You pull him into a hug and he embraces you lovingly and closely to him.

You are the light of his life and he’s the light in yours.

Red Alert

Red Alert can be a bit obsessive. But before I get to the cute shit, I want to point to some happy shit; In this Timeline, he doesn’t attempt to kill himself (or else he wouldn’t’ve cared. You must’ve become close to him in that period of time before Rung’s head blew up, OR you knew him when he was earth and became close friends with him there. he wouldn’t want this kind of relationship otherwise. and it’s rare for him to trust someone like a human because of their short lifespan.

Anyway, where was I? Oh right. Obsessive. In the sense, he genuinely cares about you, and if you are not with him, he’s watching you on a monitor. Okay, this is rather creepy than happy, anyway.

He enjoys the time you do spend together. Yeah, he’s nervous to try new things like cuddling, so let him initiate anything like that.

But when it comes down to it, at first he’s really stiff, but when you cup his chin with both your hands and smile as you tell him you love him and pull him down for a kiss, a spark seems to go off in his eyes and he relaxes in the kiss. When you break it, he says he loves you too.

You’ll be laying in birth together, your arms and head on his chest plates as you listen to the steady sound of his spark, and he’s holding you close, one servo on the small of your back and the other up your neck and in your hair. You head is nuzzling his chin and he has his nose in your hair. It’s peaceful.

Megatron

Megatron is a train wreck when it comes to this kind of stuff. And he’ll do the most schoolboy stuff. Before your actually a thing, he’s always nervous when he’s talking, he won’t stutter, he speaks really clearly actually, but when he thinks he’s screwed up, he’ll be like ‘shit, shit, shit!’ in his head and mentally panic as he tries to fix it. Of course, it’s probably alright, but he doesn’t know that.

If you invite him to Swerve’s a few times and actually try to hang out and have a few drinks with him, he’ll slowly get the vibe you like him back. The day he realizes, it was because he caught himself smiling at the thought of you.

But when it comes down to being in a relationship (I want to keep the ‘asking out’ thing separate, if someone would request that, knock yourself out), he’s really polite and sweet. He’ll let you ride on his shoulder and the thing is no one expects it from him because some bots are still very much afraid of him.

His favorite thing to do with you is probably, any physical affection. Guys, he’s been at war for 6 million years, he hasn’t gotten any kind of affection. None. zip, zero, nada. I mean the closest thing to affection was his fights with Optimus, and I wish I was joking.

He would prefer you wouldn’t to and PDA, he does have a reputation to uphold, but when you’re alone with him he will be super affectionate. Just being near you causes his spark to skip a beat! He likes to hold your small hand in his. He likes it when you are in berth and you’re on top of him, kissing his neck. Nightflare:Not a noble/towers mech but almost tbh. Has a fancy car-like alt. Very educatedand cultured and very interested in justice but he used to saw things in a veryblack&white way. Wanted to become the Cybertronian equivalent of a lawyer/judgeif such thing existed (which? Im pretty sure it did but anyway) Never reallygot around to do it for various reasons (mostly peer pressure cause most of hisfriends where the kind of rich asshole who thinks working is below ‘people likethem’ but also cause he’s a very one-track mind kind of person and he just? Alwaysfound other things he felt he needed to focus on :/)

He met his(future) conjux, Sonicboom, when one of his friends began to act as a patronfor him and started bringing him over to their apartment complex for musiclessons and the like. He began to learn about the terrible living conditions ofother Cybertronians by listening to Sonicboom talk about his life andexperiences as well as those of people he knew. He was deeply disgusted withwhat he learnt and became quickly involved with the Decepticon movement once itbegan.

Heconsidered becoming a neutral and leaving the planet with Sonicboom once thewar started but he was way too committed to the original ideals of themovement. As the war progressed and things got more crude he began to regrethis choice but it was too late to try to become a neutral so instead he did hisbest to keep both Sonicboom and himself alive.

Once thewar ended and they returned to Cybertron he kind of wanted to try to be alawyer or a judge for real this time but at the same time he’s not sure if hestill wants that and just feels like its no longer his thing so he’s just kindof working on w/e he can find both to be able to live + also to feel usefulwhile he sorts out his own head.

Sonicboom: Idkwhat alt I want him to have but I can imagine him as a radio tbh. Has a veryactive mind but tends to get lost in his own head (this got worse during andafter the war) Also very interested in culture both Cybertronian and alien,especially the arts (and especially among the arts: music) He’s Nightflare’sconjux. A really good singer and composer.

He wasquite poor in the earlier years of his life but things changed when ahigh-class mech heard him singing and decided to sponsor him and help himbecome a singer and composer (its around this time when he met Nightflare thothey took a long time to become conjux). He hates talking about that part ofhis past and he has opened to very little people about it. He became quitefamous in pre-war Cybertron but that obviously didn’t matter when the warstarted.

He wantedto stay a neutral but ended up joining the Decepticons to keep an eye onNightflare when he refused to become a neutral too. Managed to survive the warand now that there’s peace again he wants to go back to being a musician butall he has been able to compose lately are either very melancholic & pessimisticsongs about a time and dreams long gone or upbeat but actually quite depressingsongs about the war and he’s pretty sure people wouldn’t like those, so he’smostly letting time go by like and avoiding all conversations about his future andmusic like ‘haha yeah. Im working on my music. Happy music. Youll hear it soon.Haha. Yeah :) but lets now talk about me what are You doing?’.

Mishmash: (I came up with this Oc after having spentthe whole night reading fics so that should give you an idea of how terrible he’sgonna be. Anyway)

Some ‘backstory’ofhis creation: idk if you know but there’s this idea in fandom that bots can mergetheir sparks and that’s seen as smth very intimate to do with yourconjux/bestest of friends and its like?? The Ultimate Form of Connection™between 2 mechs and while they are at it they can like? Share memories &feelings & communicate without barriers or w/e and idk ive always liked theidea tbh and I wanted to use it somewhere in a fic but since im an awful littlegoblin who loves angst too much for her own good I had to make it sad.

Problem is,I couldn’t think of any Canon characters I could fit in the already very clearand sad scenario I had in mind so I decided to just use two nameless ocs (All Iknow of them:One was a flyer the other a grounder. They were amica. Almostbecame conjux but someone else came along. Never really regretted not becomingconjux tbh).

Anyway, the scene I had in mind was, in a few words:

These 2 robots are fucking around investigatingsome place far from the city when smth goes awfully wrong and they both getreally hurt. One of them takes the worst damage on their frames and the otheron their sparks and knowing that they are most likely end up dead they decideto merge sparks one last time, to both comfort the other and themselves inthose final moments u kno?. (And here’s where things get weird(er)) While beingmerged and as their sparks die smth happens and?? Somehow?? Both sparks fullymerge creating a ‘new’ one, which gets into the frame that’s less damaged one(the flier) managing to survive. A while later some other bots find these 2bots and quickly take them back to the city where they focus on fixing the onethat still has a spark.

And oncethey are done said bot wakes up, problem is: he desnt?? recognize the name he’sbeing called? Or rather he recognizes it but he doesn’t feel like its his? Andhis head is a mess cause he is remembering some events from two different povs?+ there’s smth wrong with his frame cause he?? Doesn’t feel like it’s the rightframe but it isn’t the right one either? Basically everything is very confusingand the poor bot ends up running away from the medical bay he’s in causeeverything is too much. Everyone else is quite freaked out too cause they knowthis bot and its obvious that smth isn’t right with him??cause not even hisvoice sounds the same???

And to make things even more complicated one ofthe original bots conjux comes to see wtf has happened with his conjux and hisconjuxs amica only to find this one bot who looks like one of them but…. Isn’t oneof them? Not really? It’s such a capital M Messy situation.

So, inshort: Mishmash is a very confused and stressed pretty much new-builtcybertronian who’s just trying to find his place in the universe and, mostimportantly, find out who he is which, it’s quite hard because sometimes hefeels like himself but other times he feels more like one of the bots whosesparks made his and sometimes he feels like they are with him? Or he suddenly remembersthings from their lives and so on. + lots of bots who knew those other two botsare?? Quite pushy with him, trying to get him to be more like one of the botsthey knew and its……….. awful.

(surprisinglyenough the most accepting and helpful person is The Conjux??? Like, sure, thereare moments where he also fucks up but he’s the only one who apologizes for nottreating Mishmash like his own person and who tries to help him organize hisnew/old memories and navigate his new life the most)

Well, I now have four cross-stitch projects in progress, on frames, which is the opposite of what I meant to do with my last vacation day. Oops.

But I’m hoping that when I go back to work, time will be real again, and I’ll have something to give my life shape. Fingers crossed, because the writing ideas just don’t stop from happening. And the need to write only gets more and more urgent as I... continue to get nowhere with it.

But anyways, I haven’t locked down silly little things like “““characters”““ or “””ideas””” yet, but I was reading about d/s dynamics and there are a few things I for sure need to poke at (d/s with a dancing type of leading/following partners framing, and d/s where you let your sense of self be subsumed and become an extension of your partner). ANYWAYS, let’s noodle on about possible ficlet ideas so I can remember these things when I stop putting off sleep and wake up in the morning

Whirl in a subby situation, where nobody is hurting him, nobody is withholding anything, nobody is rising to his bait when he tries to be an asshole, it’s just nice things all around, and that is so uncomfortable, but he doesn’t have much choice but to sit there and enjoy it.

Brainstorm/Nautica/Perceptor where she facilitates the hookup that he’s been fluttering over for-fucking-ever, and she and Perceptor team up and dom the everloving hell out of him and everything is sweet and cute forever.

Megatron and Rodimus with a toy, and... hmmm. I write them both switchy but with Rodimus sliding really easily into subbing and Megatron sliding really easily into domming. I want that the other way around, but in a way that feels natural and sweet, with lots of admiration and praise, and things still feeling new and a little fragile.

Cywhirlgate where Tailgate is the cutest little accidental dom and has two giant, dangerous mechs sitting there all pretty for him, where it’s very much an active act of submission rather than him domming them into doing it.

Apart from the Marissa/Thundercracker story I’m going to write, I want something more established, where she has her footing and some idea of what to expect, and is telling him what to do. I want Thundercracker just melting under that affirmation that she cares and how good it feels to follow her orders and make her happy and be praised. I want some of that emotional need coming to the surface and her meeting it without dodging.

And also apart from the trinefic, I want to do something else that focuses on Skywarp, but where he isn’t a broken-up, falling-apart mess. I want Starscream in the middle, being as needy and demanding as ever, and Skywarp sliding right into that subbing from the top role, with emotional emphasis on how comfortable and reassuring that feels, and with lots of flavor of him as dumb muscle (compared to the other two), but very much a protector.

This wouldn’t be the kink bingo fic, but Wheeljack and Starscream where everything is slow and lazy and barely-sexual, except for the way Wheeljack works him from zero to overload just using his wings :3c

And also not the kink bingo fic, but Windblade and Starscream that explcitly works through the kind of bdsm stuff you can get up to without having to touch painplay. Probably there needs to be some good stuff on the visual/symbolic side of things, and that absolutely has to cover some good old-fashioned femdom heels and her stepping on him

Nightbeat and Nautica, where she has to slow him down from the way his mind is always racing and going off in ten million directions at once, and force him to really pay attention in the moment. This will need prrrrrobably constraints of some kind, maybe a full bondage whatsit, maybe a blindfold too. Taking away his voice would take away all the fun, but it really needs to be a power struggle where she’s working to keep him centered.

Grimlock/Misfire, where... hmmMMM, this one will be tricky, because Grimlock sure aten’t recovered yet, and it’s hard to see exactly how he’ll come out of this situation. But I just really want to see Misfire all subby and thrilled by how intimidating and imposing his partner is, and getting adored and wrecked.

Rung/Fort Max, where Fort Max is still definitely a mess, but. HM, another tricky one. I don’t want him being all passive and just receiving until he has to tap out. I want something closer to the Prowl/Fort Max, where he’s provoked into losing himself, but in a healthy way. I want him using Rung, and Rung totally loving it, and being proud of Fort Max for being able to get into it and enjoy himself.

Soundwave and cassettes. What about cassettes? EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM, tbh. But I’d love to play up that whole telepathy angle and voyeurism, and ooooh imagine him watching and listening and feeling while Rumble and Frenzy went at each other, or something like that.

Alternately, Soundwave and Prowl (and telepathy). He can hear all the ugly things Prowl has done and is thinking and sees what an absolute wreck he is, and it would be so hard to have his brutal honesty balanced with the dry wit we’ve seen from him, all without letting it slip into cruelty. But oh my goodness, would that be incredible to see.

......Rewind/Dominus Ambus/Minimus Ambus >_> He’s just so lonely and so hopeless at people, I want a cute married couple taking him in and taking charge and rocking his world and being effortlessly in tune with each other while they do it. So much love that it spills over from just them and wraps him up in a cozy, affectionate blanket too.

And in a similar sense, Rewind/Chromedome/Brainstorm :P But the emotions are all sorts of different, because Brainstorm is such a high-energy, sociable guy.

TOTAL CRACKSHIP TIME, but okay, hear me out. Tailgate/Prowl. Tailgate doesn’t have any of the baggage with Prowl that all of Prowl’s actual friends do. Tailgate has proven that he’s totally able to field all sorts of assholeish behavior and still be just as friendly and happy as before. Prowl doesn’t have any dirt on Tailgate to be nasty with. And Tailgate doesn’t really seem to be insta-judging Prowl the way he’s come to expect. It would be so hard wrangling this, but oh my god, it would yank the rug from under Prowl’s feet so hard, and it would be so cute.

Megatron/Rodimus sparkplay. I mean, anyone and sparkplay, I haven’t touched it at all yet (because aaa new thing, how do), but imagine Megatron letting someone at his spark! Solid gold, and what a lovely, grand gesture of trust :3c

Ratchet and First Aid, and not-exactly-healthy grief sex. Ratchet has his bearings way more than First Aid does, so it’s not going to get bad-bad. But I really do need to poke at what an absolute mess First Aid was in the aftermath of Tyrest.

Crankcase and his bf. I don’t know how or what or anything, but seeing his world get rocked would be the cutest thing ever :3c

Sunstreaker and Sideswipe still trying to realign with each other post-reunion. Just the difficulty with old intimacy where the slow poison crept in, and trying to reset from that, all sorts of emotions and fresh wounds and old scars.

Prowl and... Prowl and someone. God does he make it hard to find healthy interpersonal relationships to use for him :P Jazz is easy mode if I don’t think of something better. But something where surrendering his own control and agency is such an overwhelming, disorienting relief that he’s barely even capable of processing all the sex stuff

NO WAIT I HAVE IT, Prowl+cdrw, where they can tell what a fucking mess he is, and Rewind reluctantly agrees to let this be a thing if and only if he stays and it isn’t just Chromedome and Prowl alone. Rewind is such a bossy guy, though, and Chromedome doesn’t have a dommy bone in his body, how long is it really going to take before Rewind steps in and takes the wheel? :3c

Spinner plays FFXIV Stormblood

Finished FFXIV 4.0 MSQ over the weekend (DRK to 70, WHM to 77), hoo boy. I know I've got the 4.x patches to go but I did wind up liking Stormblood more than I thought. Spoilers ahoy!

Highlights:

- started the SB questline right about the same time as everyone else started ShB *sobs* It did mean I landed in the midst of some good FATE-grinding parties, however, at little as that matters

- I liked the Baelsar’s Wall but those last twin bosses can go die in a fire

- couldn’t get really sad over Papalymo because he barely contributed anything to the story except to snark at Yda. I like him better in DFFOO, where he is an excellent black mage. So, like, the exact opposite of my feelings regarding Thancred.

- Shinryu, Omega, and Cid all disappeared for the majority of the Stormblood questline and tbh it suffered for their absences. At least Estinien, of all people, was tracking the first two down.

- thankfully the WHM quests were all in the first zone I got access to and I already had it at 70 so I just zipped through them

----- me: *fails repeatedly at WHM lvl 70 quest*

----- me: *returns w/gear 10 lvls higher* Time for my vengeance.

----- (Yes, I know I should always keep my gear up to date and to be fair I always keep it at the appropriate level or better when other people are involved. This, however, was single-player duty and my lack of better gear didn’t matter since I didn’t even have the lvl 61 dungeon unlocked yet.)

- never cared at all for Zenos. Nope. Not at all. He and his golf club bag of swords can go fall off Shinryu's platforms. (I also had 0% trouble w/his solo fights on DRK? Maybe it was the new flat damage reduction baked into all tanks, idk, or maybe it was having Aug Shire/at lvl gear for each instance. I kept my health up just fine and had to be wiped out via his insta-kill move for the duty to end. But honestly it felt like good DRK job fantasy, taking on this insurmountable foe and clawing my way past death to defend my fallen comrades.) Also my character literally viewed him as a troubled teen taking out his issues on everyone around him via murder and wasn't impressed w/him in the least. But anyway.

- I came to tolerate Lyse but that's it. Hot-blooded people who rush off and act w/o thinking irritate me greatly IRL and it's no different in virtual life. Plus, she's almost literally an anime version of me who traded book smarts for punching ability. Even her name is a mere one letter from mine. It's kinda weird. She’s my mirror universe self. Ugh.

- it’s really disappointing Square Enix gives me so few options in killing myself. Let me jump off cliffs to my messy death already, dang it. Skyrim let me do it within the first 2 minutes of ever playing, haha.

- the sharks fly. the bears fly. the goobues fly. why not.

- ah, yes, gyuki. Skyrim prepared me for unreasonably bloodthirsty walruses. And for the unreasonably powerful and murderous mammoths.

- I liked M'naago, wished she had been the lead instead

- genuinely loved Gosetsu (Conrad who?) and was upset at his 'death'. I'm at once glad he survived and annoyed at another death fake-out. *Drak voice* Kill more! Kill 'em all!

- Hien is an adorable badass and I wish to adopt him and take him home with me. Doma 4 lyfe

---- me: *interiorly grumbles every time I hear the words ‘Ala Mhigo’

- I just... really don’t understand why Highlanders live in a desert nation and have geographic and cultural neighbors based off of India and yet they have Old English/OHG names. Why???

- also why is Lyse blindingly white (and Minfilia, for that matter) in stark contrast to other Highlanders???

---- me: So, Lyse, if you’re from Gyr Abania then why are you white?

---- Alphinaud: Oh my god, Spinner, you can’t just ask someone why they’re white.

- once again, I'm probably the only person who loved the WHM quests (all SB job quests seem to return to their 1 - 30 [or 30 - 50?] roots and I don't mind). Did lots of screaming over DRK 60 - 70. I saved them all up and did them right away when I hit 70; they flow much better w/no interruptions

- explored/quested/ground FATE's on DRK but ran new dungeons on WHM as that's my comfort job. Failed twice on the mechanics of Bardam's Mettle 2nd boss but no wipes so we're good. So many overconfident gunbreaker tanks, though. T__T *I* did a better job tanking/killing a pack of like 12 mobs as WHM in Sirensong Sea than one bunbreaker, smh.

- I found Magnai to be entirely too amusing. I also want his moves on WAR.

- somehow missed Shisui entirely? Still haven't got all aether currents in the Ruby Sea RIP me

------ (2 month later addendum: finally unlocked it and got my aether currents. Now, to never return to that area ever again.)

- no underwater mobs is so disappointing. Let me throw fireballs and Holys and swing a greatsword underwater already. Let me tell you, nothing is as exciting as going diving in Morrowind with only a 22% chance to successfully cast Waterbreathing and this Kojin blessing is such an OP cheat.

- enjoying my Grani mount tbh. I have no idea if it's lore-relevant for ShB; I just saw the name lifted straight from Norse myth and was like, "Want." It's more of a horse-shaped reptile, however, with 'paws' that become increasingly creepy the more you stare at them. I wonder if it eats meat like the thestrals in HP.

- shooting minigames? Okay. Platforming minigames? AW HECK NO I THOUGHT I WAS DONE W/THIS WHEN I LEFT LEGO GAMES TAKE THIS AWAY FROM ME PLATFORMING IS MY GREATEST ENEMY

- I was derping around in Kugane and accidentally started doing the tower jumping puzzle. As soon as I figured out what I was doing I had to run away immediately to save my sanity.

- throwing on tank stance and rushing in to save someone from a mob or a FATE is still as heady a feeling as ever (except when they then run off and leave you to die, like, no why please). Or raising people out in the wild. I particularly love that cyclops boss FATE near Whitebrim bc I can go stand on the edges as a powerful WHM and raise people 10x as the bodies keep hitting the floor. I know I’ve mentioned it before, but it’s still so great.

- I do enjoy the Morrowind feel of walking through a new zone and taking in the scenery but I'd like it more if all the wildlife wasn't super powerful and aggro'ing on me every 10 ft. It feels less like an ecosystem and more like generic monster land when there are no longer any non-aggressive mobs like there were in ARR. The Gyr Abanian landscapes are slowly growing on me, however.

- me, flying through Porta Praetoria/Lochs: Those wooden bonfires must be awfully expensive, if wood is as scarce in Gyr Abania as I think....

- loved the Azim Steppe - atmosphere, music, lore, everything. Waiting for someone to call me out on this bc I just really love Xaela (and may make a male Xaela alt one day).

- had minor moral qualms over fighting in the Naadam for the Mol bc I wanted to claim victory for the Orl

- I do really like those moments in Heavensward and Stormblood when the game recreates the epic moments from the trailers (the WoL walking through the soldiers to fight the dragon; the WoL and Lyse sparring, etc.).

- I was singing, “I don’t care, I don’t care,” to the tune of Let It Go during the Ala Mhigo cutscenes but the resistance singing their anthem really got to me nevertheless. Many voices united and uplifted and song always hits me hard emotionally.

- my character still looking at Zenos with 0% thirst (negative amounts of thirst, tbh) like, “Who is this sassy lost child?”

- then again my character is like 31 yrs old here with a backstory summed up as ‘angry single mom goes to check on friend, ends up killing a god and getting recruited to save the world’

- Pipin is best Lalafell; I will defend him with my life but he has Tizona now and doesn't need me. The absolute shortest guy around is calling the shots in this military campaign and I love it. At least his dad gave him a box to stand on so he could see over the table during the important strategic military discussions.

- the siege of Ala Mhigo taught us that thaumaturges/black mages are the living equivalent of heavy artillery, nice nice nice

- got lucky and had a competent crew in DF to fight Shinryu

- tbh my character would probably kick Asahi’s dad while he was down and cave in his ribs, just finishing him off. It’s no wonder Asahi turned out as bad as he did, with parents as horrifically self-centered as THAT.

- I humbly submit ‘Higwit’ as a fan-name for that elezen following Asahi around - an acronym for ‘Hien Is Great - Who Is That?!’ based on an old LOTR fan meme. Who else here remembers Figwit before he became Lindir?

- I liked the Tsukuyomi fight but I can’t remember anything specific about it now, not even the mechs.

- I did spend a lot of time screenshotting Hien because he is an awesome bro and I would endure Ala Mhigo all over again for him
