Maybe… you’d prefer for Vhagar to have devoured you…
You shook your head at that, you couldn’t think like that, you had to be strong, perhaps tapped into your real father’s force, he was a good man, a strong the, brave, and kind, you had to be like him.
You whimpered when you felt your uncle’s hot hand in your belly, making you lean back until your back was against his chest, you tried to look around, but you barely could see cloud at this time at night
“You are shaking”, he purred against your ear, you barely hummed, your clothes had barely dried, but you were freezing
“I’m cold”, you murmured, he chuckled darkly, making you shake some more
“you’d think that you’d ran hot, like a dragon, and then I remember, you are only a bastard”, he mocked, but you didn’t fight him, you didn’t have the strength, you didn’t care anymore
What if your father was Harwin Strong? he had cared for you, he had protected you and guarded you, consoled you when you cried, cared for you when you were sick or when you fell and hit your hands or knees, he had loved you, you could see it in his beautiful eyes, you missed him, and Ser Laenor didn’t care, he loved you too, he accepted you and called you his, you were a Velaryon. And now Daemon, for everyone he was the fearsome devil, the rogue prince, unreadable, unpredictable, merciless, but for you and you siblings? He was your father, who cared for you, guided you, taught you, he was fearless when it came to defend all of you and your mother, he watched over you all and knew how to give you counsel
Perhaps he was jealous, you have had three fathers, and he barely had half of one, your grandfather had been sick for so many years, he couldn’t be a good father for Aemond, you thought
“What happened? a dragon took your tongue?”, it was a sick joke, a single tear fell from your eye at the thought of your baby dragon Karnax.
You named him in honor of the first ever dragon that bonded with Aerion, and together with his flames he forged the city of Old Valyria, and created the greatest empire the world had ever seen.
How silly you had been
Perhaps the gods had taken away your dragon for your boldness, who did you think you were?
Aemond grabbed you by the back of your neck, roughly, grabbing your hairs until you cried out
“I like to be answered when I talk to you, bastard”, he grunted, he pretended like he wanted to drag you off of the saddle, into the air and to your certain death and you squealed, grabbing back at his arm
“No! please!”, you whined, “don’t throw me, don’t kill me!”, you begged him
“Why would I kill my new toy? after all the trouble she make go through to get her”
He didn’t release you, but he let you accommodate back in the saddle with shaky hands, grabbing into the rough leather. Vhagar’s flight was steady, thanks to her huge size, it would be enjoyable, if it weren’t for the circumstances that led you here
“What are you going to do with me?”, you asked in a whisper, he caressed the back of your head and neck, but it wasn’t a soft, loving caress, it was rough, dominant, to show you his power and dominance over you
“I told you what I was going to do to you”
I lied, I’m going to give you my bastard
“Please uncle, you took my dragon, you draw my blood”, you whimpered, “I payed by brother's debt”
For one second to the other, the skies opened up, and you gasped when you could see Dragonstone far in the horizon.
Aemond grabbed you even tighter
“I will say when it’s payed”, he chuckled darkly, and he pushed you over the handles in his saddle
You whined when he pushed you even lower, grabbed you even tighter, the handle hit you right over your belly, preventing you from breathing properly
You coughed, tears falling down your eyes
He had ripped your riding pants, but you still had your upper part, working like a dress, he raised that, exposing your intimacy, which still burned and ached…
“No please.. AH!”, he impaled you on his cock, dragging you back, letting your weight make him ripped you open even more
It was worse than before, your inner walls were sore, and aching, it felt like he was ripping you open
“No more, please uncle”
Vhagar growled under you as he started thrusting into you, over and over, each time it burnt more, your insides were on fire, every thrust you were out of breath, the handle digging under your ribcage, making you whimper
You couldn’t breathe
And the only thing you could see was Dragonstone, right there…
So close, yet so far
Aemond leaned into you, grunting in your ear, dropping wet open mouthed kisses in your neck
“Please”, you begged, “no more”
“I’ll say when is enough”, he grunted, “fuck, you are squeezing me so tight”, you didn’t even know how you were doing, perhaps was the fact that you started feeling dizzy because of all  the oxygen you were lacking,a dn that made you clamp down on him.
“please”, you whimpered with the last of your strength, suddenly you didn’t care anymore than your uncle was taking you against your will, the last thing you saw before your eyesight began to tunnel was the stronghold of your family, your own home.
He felt you going slack under his grasp, and that is when he realized you couldn’t breathed, he pulled you back, hugging you tightly against him, and then you managed to get air inside your lungs, gasping greedily
he kept fucking you, as he had you relaxed in his arms, he held you almost tenderly, making sure you wouldn’t fall off the saddle.
Inside his dark mind, it was true, he wouldn’t want to lose you. he didn’t want to kill you, he wanted to keep you
You were what he deserved
You were just a little bastard, a girl, you should be thankful that he, a prince, was even looking at you, adding in the fact that you and your bastards brothers where pretenders to the Iron Throne, he was just doing his duty, to prove to you how wrong you all were.
He grabbed your jaw, making you look up at him, your eyes were misty, out of focus, your sweet mouth was open, taking short breaths, trying to recuperate yourself, meanwhile he was still pounding into you.
He placed a hand over your belly, drawing you even close to him, and that is when he could draw a moan from you, as a tear fell down your eyes
It was too soon to expect you to feel pleasure… hell, he didn't do this for your pleasure
He did it for his own
He felt like you might give in, but you didn’t, more tears fell down, and you whimpered when his cock touched a special spot inside of you, feeling shamed, cold and frightened
“Please uncle”, you whimpered, grabbing into his hands all over your body, “it wasn’t my fault, I’m sorry”
“Would you rather I go after your brother?”, he asked, you shook your head, “then shut up”, he got angry, throwing you in your belly wasn’t an option anymore, he didn’t want you to asphyxiate, so he pounded into you harder and harder, making you cry out.
He closed his eye, concentrating on the sensations, and he had never felt anything like this, he was fucking the girl he always desired, a girl with no power, no nothing, over the biggest and most powerful dragon in the world.
He ruled the skies, and now he had you.
He tried to get to you the right way, he bit his own tongue and put his tail between his legs and asked your whore of a mother to betrothe you two, he didn’t give a shit about uniting the family and fixing the strained bonds
He desired you, he desired you so much it made himself hate you, because he believed that you were not worthy of his love, passion and attention
You were a bastard
Like his mother always taught him, and bastards deserved nothing, to inherit nothing, they were born out of sin, and weakened flesh
Two things he despised
Sin and weakness
So he had tot ake you the way he was entitled too
It didn’t help that he hated your brothers
It was not fair
that they were loved, protected, cared for, after everything they had put him trough, they always got away with it…
So he was going to take it all on you
He would give the entire royal treasury to see those bastard’s faces when they realized what he had done to you, their dear, lovely sister
“It hurt, please, uncle, please stop”, your cried made himrealize how hard he was fucking into you, completely lost in his dark thoughts of revenge and desires
He didn’t want to stop, he grunted and moaned in your ear, he licked the tears of your cheeks, and then, he bit down in your shoulders until he drew blood and you squirmed in his grasp due to the stinging pain
Having you struggling and twisting in his arms, squeezing him like a fist, your little whines and pleas, he cummed inside you, hugging you tightly despite your hands scratching all the skin you could reach, he grunted in your ear filling you with his seed
He was already addicted to you, your unwillingness and your tightness
he made yo u lean in and looked where your bodies were still intertwined, he discovered, with sick pleasure, that his cock was tainted with your blood still
Now you were ruined, for everyone else
He chuckled at the sight and at your lame lie. that you were betrothed to Cregan Stark
Well, not anymore, he thought with satisfaction when he heard your cries and whimpers starting again.
“Please”, you whined, and when he looked ahead he could tell why
Dragonstone stood there in all its might.
He grunted, grabbing the reins of Vhagar and made her turn away, if you got to close, they were going to spot you, and could easily attack
“No! please!”, yo grew desperate when you realized you were not going back to Dragonstone
“You think I was just going to drop you there?”, he whispered in your ear, “no, it is not going to be that easy”
‘Please, you got what you wanted”, you whispered, defeated, grabbing into his hand that was still holding you by your belly
“Not even close”, he whispered darkly, pushing inside your walls again, growing hard only at the thought of your despair
“I want to go home”, you cried
But he didn’t take you home
You arrived at King’s Landing when the sun was rising in the horizon
The Usurper was dragged out of bed, or that is what it looked like when you entered the throne room and Aegon was there, sitting in the Iron Throne lazily, almost snoozing, his clothes where dirty, his hair was in disarray
The sight made you sick
When he saw who you were, he giggled drawing his head back
“My brother, ever the over-achiever, we send you for a stag and you came back with a little dragon”
The doors opened behind him and you looked back to see Queen Alicent and Otto, who looked back at you wide eyed
“What is the meaning of this?”, demanded Otto
All eyes fell on you, you you only played with your hand looking at the ground
You felt Aemond’s seed dripping out of you, you only managed to squeeze your thighs together and swallow a whimper, praying they couldn’t see it. It was probably just a phantom feeling, but you still felt shame and fear.
Aegon was looking at you like you were the most amusing thing he had ever seen
Alicent’s eyes filled with tears, and her mouth twisted in a horrified face
“Aemond…”, she called, it didn’t take a genius to know what had happened between the two, “what did you do?”
“What I did was find a way for the pretender to surrender, without blood being spilled”, he said out loud, to all of them, he grabbed you by the back of your neck and angry tears fell down your eyes, “we have her daughter, is she doesn’t come here and surrender, we are going to feed her to the dragons”
Aegon’s laugh rang all over the room
“You already fucked her, didn’t you?”
“Aegon!”, chided Alicent, Aegon giggled again, but she then looked back at her favorite son, with an incredulous look on his face
“You didn’t, didn’t you?”, she asked, fearful.
They all talked like you weren’t even there, and for a time, you enjoyed being invisible
“What does that matter?”, he asked, manhandling you, moving you by your neck like you were some rag doll, “she is a bastard, you said so yourself”, Alicent covered her mouth, horrified
“I never meant for you”
“What my brother did was great”, sentenced Aegon, “you got us Lord Borros, and you got us some entertainment, well. a hostage but, entertaining nonetheless”, he said raising a cup he held by his hand, “we should hold a feast tonight, for my dear brother”
Otto didn’t know what to say, he kept looking at his grandson, and then at you, not really knowing if this was good or bad, but he liked the initiative of his grandson
“Ser Criston, put her in Rhaenyra’s old chambers”, he commanded, and Ser Criston, who had been standing by the gates, walked towards you and grabbed you from Aemond’s grasp and led you off of the throne room
It was painful to be back into your mother’s chambers, you remembered it from your childhood, and now you were alone and sad
But not for long, as Queen alicent showed up in your chambers
She found you sitting in the edge of the bed, and you didn’t stand up, or do anything, you just sat there, looking at her
“Are you comfortable dear?”, she asked shakily, her hand linked together in front of her, that ever present scowl on her face
“I’m sorry for the loss of the King your grace”, that seemed to kind of break her, a single tear fell from her eye and nodded
“Thank you dearest”, she looked around, you could see that she had trouble to face this, but you couldn’t find it in yourself to care, you moved uncomfortable, your core aching, you hissed and she seemed to notice
“Aemond… was always smitten with you”, she said faking a smile, and you looked up at her in surprise and disgust
“What?”, she looked away from you and started pacing. A tear fell from your eye when you realized she was just trying to diminished what had happened, in favor of her son
“Aemond was always a driven young man”, she said, with that nerve-wrenching smile
“What will happen to me?”, you asked in a whisper
“We are still debating the best way to proceed”, she said calmly
“Please your grace, Alicent, I want to go home”, you cried, “I want to go to my mother”, you stood up and grabbed her gently, she seemed shaken up by your outburst, “please”, you begged her, but she shook you away
“Prince Aemond will decide what is to do about you”, she said, recuperating her composure
“No! he is going to rape me again”, you cried, she winced at the word
“I’ll have moon tea brought to your chambers”, she said simply, walking to the exit
“PLEASE! I want to go home!”, she closed the door in your face and you went there and slapped your hand on the hardwood, “please!”, you begged but it fell on deaf ears
For better or worse, you were left alone until the night fell over in King’s Landing, you were to busy staring at the horizon, in the direction of where Dragonstone was
Were they thinking of you? Were they missing you?
Did they know something happened to you?
Did they believe you died?
Maids brought you food and wine for you to drink and eat, to replenish your strength, and even though you haven’t eaten anything since lunch the day before, you found yourself so nauseous you couldn’t even have a single bite
You could hear it, all over
There was a feast being celebrated in the Keep, as Aegon promised
A feast to celebrate you being kidnapped, you were a valuable hostage, now they might make your mother surrender.
Would she?
For you?
Would she give up her birthright?
Finally exhaustion got the better of you, and you removed your torn riding gear, to put on the nightshirt the maids had left for you, and you curled up in the bed
You were exhausted, and you managed to fall into a dreamless sleep
Until you were suddenly awake
Greedy hand grabbed you, fondled you, grope you
You whined, fighting between the realms of dreams and reality
“Fuck, you are still dripping”, it was Aemond, as his fingers tried to pry you open for him, you tried to grab his hand, but you were too weak, and still in a haze
“Uncle”
“Mmm yes”, he purred in your ear, as he got rid of your night dress, you knew what it came next, and you hissed when you felt him entering you. He hugged you tightly, obsessively, grunting in your ear as he started pounding into you
It was of no use to make him stop, you just had to endure it, but it still hurt, it still burn as he cock split you open.
In this position it was tighter for him, and for you, you could tell, you just laid on your side as Aemond took from from behind, hugging you against him so you couldn’t move away from him
“You are my little whore now”, he said, you could smell the wine on his breath, “I’m going to breed you, it is only fair, that a bastard births my bastards”
“I don’t deserve this”, you cried, tears soaking the pillow beneath your head, “I didn’t do anything to you please”
“Didn’t you?”, he mocked
“I loved you”, you confessed, “you were my loving uncle, my friend”, you said sadly
“Not anymore”, he mocked, kissing the side of your face, “I bet you hate me now, don’t you?”, you grabbed into him, sobbing
“No”, you cried, and he chuckled, fucking into you rougher, making you cry out
“Oh you don’t hate me?”, he purred, “aren’t you sweet?”
“Please Aemond”, you whimpered, “I don’t want to have a child”, you cried
“Too late for that”, he teased, “You will give birth to my white-haired children”, he teased, biting on your neck
He cummed inside of you that night as well, staying there deep inside you until morning
When he was done with you, he released you hastily, you woke up hissing at how uncomfortable you were.
You didn’t even know if it was possible, but you felt  it in your belly still.
He was getting dressed again, looking back at you with appreciation, it was the first time he saw you truly bare for him. You hair messed up, your tired face, your marked skin
But unbeknownst to you, you looked beautiful and delicious to him
Until the door was knocked
Aemond answered for you, and he saw it was a made bringing a small tray, in it, only two things, a small tea cup, and a small pitcher
“What the hell is this?”, he asked, mad out of his mind
“T-the Queen send it, your grace”, she said with a nervous stutter
“I didn't asked who send it, I ask what it is”, he almost bit off her head
“Moon tea, your grace”, you jumped in the bed when you saw Aemond grab the small tray and smashed it against the wall, making you and the maid terribly scared
“get put and if I see you again I’ll flay you alive”
“YES M’LORD”, and she ran out of the chambers, when Aemond turned to you, he find you crying, grabbing into the sheets, covering yourself
“If you drink that filth, you’ll live to regret it”, he threatened, and left the room, with you exhausted and in tears
He erupted in the middle of a meeting of the small council, his grandfather and mother invited him to sit down, his brother wasn’t present, but it was early in the morning, so he didn’t find it strange
“Daeron will marry one of Lord Borros’ daughters, and you will marry your niece”, said Alicent, not looking at his son, but at the table in front of him, she couldn’t stand the sight of this man she hardly knew, “we will send the terms to Rhaenyra, to stop this nonsense of her taking the throne…”
“Why?”, asked Aemond, bored
“Why? because you dishonored her! Rhaenyra…”
“Will do as we told her if she wants to see her daughter again”, he said, “nothing has to change”
Alicent and Otto shared concerned looks
“The first thing to do is to send word to Rhaenyra that we have her, and she is alive, if she thinks otherwise, they could retaliate”
“I will send a raven to Rhaenyra”, muttered Otto
“Aemond saved the princess”, Alicent said, “he saved her from dying in the treacherous waters of shipwreck bay”, Aemond chuckled darkly
“That’s the story we are going with?”, asked mockingly
“Yes!”, snapped his mother, Aemond only shook his head, amused
“So be it”, he mocked
. . .
Rhaenyra watched the Fellwood woman retreat from the room and she whined in pain, Daemon grabbed her softly, hugging her tightly against him to soothe her
“Everything will be alright”, he muttered gently, Rhaenyra only nodded
“Your grace”, her new appointed Queensguard appeared in the war room, “a letter from King’s Landing”
Rhaenrya didn’t dare to receive the letter, but Daemon did, he opened the small scroll rapidly and angrily, and read it carefully, to finally snort
“THOSE CUNTS!”
“What is it?”, Rhaenyra asked
“They have her”, he whispered, and Rhaenyra drew a sigh of relief, until know she didn't really know if her daughter was alive or not, at least she was, “they claimed that one eye cunt saved her from the seas, and took her to safety”, Rhaenyra chuckled darkly, “they are offering to marry them, and offer the same terms of surrender”
“Or?”, she whispered
“It doesn’t say”, he said back, crumpling the paper in his fist, “What if they give us our daughter back, or we kill them all?”, he grunted with greeted teeth, angry tears leaving her eyes
“We need to tell the boys”, warned Rhaenyra, “we need to ask them to see her, to see if she is alright, then we can set something up”
“You are not giving up your birthright”, he sentenced
“I just want to see her”, she whined, “see if she is alright”
“We will teach them what happens when you mess with our family”, grunted Daemon

Your whole body trembled as you slid down your dragon. Your dragon gave a loud roar in response to your despair. Your twin, your other half had passed trying to birth her third child and failing to do so leaving her to burn herself to death by her dragon Vaghar. Your wet eyes trailed to your husband a few feet away ordering his own dragon to leave for now. Your dragon followed after the red dragon without question, your dragon were very fond of each other feeling your and Daemon's feelings for one another.
"Mother" Your head turned to your eldest of five, Maelor, barely past his ten and third nameday.
"My darling" You ran a hand over his shoulder not wanting to embarrass him even though you ached to ran your fingers through his curly white hair that matched your own.
"Are you alright?" The sweet boy asked. You smiled lightly, it did not reach your ears as usual, and nodded your head. He was content with that and moved towards the rest of his siblings, ten namedays old Viserar, nine namedays Gaella, seven namedays Aerion and five namedays Rhaegal. Daemon moved to your side hair blowing against both the natural wind that one caused by your children's dragons flying away, even Rhaegal rode his dragon here despite his young age, you only agreed because there would over three chains holding him in place.
"Let us join the others" Daemon wrapped an arm around your waist. You nodded accepting following behind him to find the rest of your family on the other side of the palace. Your children followed you like ducklings.
Daemon's family watched you two, so close to one another, Daemon comforting you as you walked over to your family and your children so close to one another as well. You felt two burning gazes on you, Viserys the king and Rhaenyra the heir but ignored them both. You stood beside your mother silently holding her hand.
You opened your other arm for your niece who without question wrapped an arm around you. Sweet Rhaena whimpered in pain but held her emotions well in your arms. It was your uncle Vaemond who spoke in place of your father who was too hurt to speak which reminded you of your secret meeting a while back.
Flashback_
"What is the meaning of your visit?" Daemon was not shy to ask. You gave him a horrified look but he chose to ignore you. He sipped on the wine splayed on the chair by the dining table. You reached over to grasp his other hand in your own.
"I am here to make an alliance" Vaemond spoke. Your eyes squinted in suspicion. Daemon eyed you as well to see your reaction.
"What kind of alliance?" You asked voice strong and hard. Vaemond did not seem shocked at your change, you were no longer the young little girl who hid behind her mother's skirts. You were a woman grown, given the power to speak and voice her opinion, you were married to Daemon after all and it was no shock his influence on you made you stronger.
"One that will have your husband then your son on the throne, niece, one where the pure blood of Valeryon on the Driftmark throne" He spoked turning to glare at you. Your eyes sparkled with mischief at his words.
"How so?" Daemon asked intrigued. He placed his cup of wine on the table to give his full attention to Vaemon Valeryon who smirked in victory. He succeeded in grabbing the attention of the rogue prince.
"We need to prove Rhaenyra's infidelity, show that her boys are not only handsome but Strong" Vaemond smirked. He did not wish to voice his words so plainly. You chuckled at last name that left his lips. You turned to Daemon who was also smirking in amusement.
"Once that is proven her sons will be bastards int he eyes of the realm and no matter how much the king and my fool of a nephew claim them legitimate the people will not accept them and your sweet niece will be executed for adultery leaving you as the heir" Vaemond leaned closer to the both of you. His elbows rested on the table and looked like he was on the verge of falling of his chair when he was so close on the table.
"And driftmark?" Daemon asked leaning closer as well His grip tightened expectantly around your fingers. You also felt the blood rush to your head from excitement.
"Marry Princess Visera to my son Daeron, my heir and after I perish he will inherit the throne after me" Vaemond explained. You turned to look at Daemon, usually he was super protective over your girls but this was not a bad deal, this was a throne in the talking and also Daeron was not that much older than Visera only two or three namedays above her.
"Why should we accept? Why shouldn't we hand you over to King Viserys for treason?" Daemon asked leaning back against his chair. Vaemond looked at him with his mouth shut but his eyes twinkling with evilness.
End of Flashback_
You had missed the entire speech of Vaemond but from the reaction of Rhaenyra you knew he had spoke ill of her children. Her eyes wandered over to Daemon with a pleading look but he did not spare her a glance and focused on comforting you while they dropped whatever was left of your sister into the water.
"It will be alright, my love" Daemon whispered in your ear. You clutched Rhaena to you not letting her watch as her mother was put to rest int he sea. She buried her face in your bosom also not want to see and seeking the motherly touch from you.
"I know" You responded eyeing the heir across from you. In a matter of minutes everyone spread about leaving you to wander on your own in search of your husband who you had lost in the mess.
You walked further down the beach away from everyone else to the point that you could no longer see or hear them. You resumed walking hearing some hushed whispers not far away from where you stood. You found a rock and hid behind it peaking to see who it was and your eyes widened at the sight of Daemon and Rhaenyra with her hand on his bicep and a seductive sad look on her face.
"You do not understand uncle, they wish to hurt me and my sons" she whimpered. Daemon had his back to you so you could not see the scowl on his face or the way he shuddered in disgust. A burning fire of jealousy rose inside of you, you loved him and would be damned to let her sink her claws into him.
"What do you wish me to do?" Daemon asked turning to face her instead. She gulped looking up at him with innocent eyes.
"Take me to Dragonstone and marry me, I am sure your wife would not mind, it is normal for us Uncle, let us marry and shut their mouths" She reached a hand up to touch his face. Daemon grabbed her wrist harshly making her gasp and pushed her back.
"I love my wife and would never do such a thing to her" Daemon spat angrily. Rhaenyra looked like she was on the verge of crying.
"I need you uncle, I need your protection" She begged. He tried walking away but she held onto his arm like a child would do to it's mother's skirt.
"Why should I protect you or your Strong bastards?" Daemon asked pushing her hands away. Her eyes widened in shock and horror at his words. You chose that moment to appear and show them you were hear, from the look in your eyes Daemon knew that you heard more than you let on.
"Sweet husband our daughters seek your attention" You spoke sweetly. You gave a small sickeningly sweet smile making sure not to overdo it, your sister was just put to rest after all.
"I shall tend to my princess then" Daemon walked over to you and placed a kiss on your forehead before resuming to walk in the direction of the funeral. You turned to Rhaenyra letting your sweet face fall and a glare took over your face.
"Come near my husband again and I will cut your head off myself" You threatened. Her eyes widened in shock. She staggered a couple of steps back on the sand.
"Good evening, princess" You mocked before following after Daemon. Daemon did not leave your side for a second even when you put your children to bed.
"You heard her offer?" Daemon questioned letting a comb brush through your curls, it was laced with oils and creams to make it easier to brush through and to get rid of any tangles in the curls.
"Yes, she wanted to become my sister-wife" You smirked at him through the mirror. Daemon chuckled leaning closer to place a kiss on your neck.
"Yes, a disgusting idea" He joked. Your moment was interrupted by the sound of rapped and panicked knocking on the door.
"My prince! Your children-" Before the guard could finish the two of you were sprinting down the halls to the room you heard the most commotion from. Your body slammed against the door panting, your eyes widened at the sight of blood oozing from Maelor's temple and Visera's neck.
"Maelor! Visera" You ran over to them kneeling down to their height. Visera sobbed throwing herself into her father's arms once he was close enough. You placed your palms on Maelor's cheek swerving his head so you could see the damage.
"They attacked Aemond father, all of them" Visera sobbed into her father's side. Daemon crouched down beside you letting her face him. He placed a hand on her cheek pulling her closer to kiss the cut on her neck. She fisted his tunic on his shoulder trying to let out some of the anguish she felt.
"He called my sons bastards!" Rhaenyra shrieked from across the room. Your eyes finally trailed over to Aemond who was sat on a chair with his mother and maester by his side, the maester was stitching his now empty eye socket. You gasped in horror moving to stand on your feet.
"Is that reason enough for your sons to maim a prince! To hurt another and cut a princess?" Daemon yelled angrily. No one touched his children and went about unpunished even if he had to do it himself.
"They called them bastards!" She yelled back. Daemon took a threatening step closer to her but you placed a hand on his chest stopping him, you didn't want to have the blame moved form her to you and if he were to attack you would no longer be the victims.
"Tell me girl, what happened?" Viserys asked holding onto your daughter's shoulder to turn her to look at him.
"I was awoken by Maelor who had heard screams and we went down to see what had happened and found Jacaerys, Lucaerys, Baela and Rhaena all attacking Aemond, it was unfair and we tried to help him but prince Jacaerys had brought a knife, and he cut me-" She pointed at her neck wincing at the contact, it made you tremble with fury and both you and Daemon turned to glare at the brunette bastard.
"-Prince Jacaerys held Maelor back while prince Lucaerys maimed Prince Aemond and then threw him against a rock and there just was so much blood"She cried. She pulled away from her uncle and ran into her father's embrace again. You applauded your daughter's braver to speak the truth and so loudly.
"You hear brother, you grandsons hurt my children and maimed your own" Daemon hissed angrily. He let his hand run up and down Visera's back to calm her. You had a feeling that Viserys was still not going to punish Rhaenyra and her children but at least you turned on the fuse to the bomb, one that will hopefully end her and her bastard sons.

"𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑂𝑙𝑑, 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑇𝑟𝑢𝑒, 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐵𝑟𝑎𝑣𝑒"
One of the oldest Houses, the Velaryons survived the Doom and established themselves in the New World.
The first Velaryon mentioned was Lady Valaena Velaryon. The mother of Aegon the Conquorer and his sister-wives; Visenya and Rhaenys. She had been married to Lord Aerion Targaryen, and moved with her family to inhabit Dragonstone when they fled the Doom.
House Velaryon was of Valyrian descent, and inherited such features. They include silver-gold or white hair as well as purple, violet, blue, grey or green eyes.
For a time, not only did House Velaryon have power over the seas, but also in the sky. They were once dragonriders. The marriage between Rhaenys and Corlys produced two children that bonded with dragons; Laena rode Vhagar, and Laenor with Seasmoke.
House Velaryon's ancestoral seat was Driftmark, the largest island of Blackwater Bay in the crownlands. Their castles include Driftmark and High Tide. The head of House Velaryon is titled Lord of the Tides and Master of Driftmark.
It was traditional for the sons of House Velaryon to experience a seafarer's life when young. This created a love for the sea for Velaryon members.
The Velaryons were the oldest and closest allies of the Targaryens for centuries. For a long time they kept the positions of master of ships and lord admiral, as the family provided most of the royal fleet. They sat on the Small Council.
After Robert's Rebellion, the new king, Robert I Baratheon, gave the castle Dragonstone to his brother Stannis. The Velaryons have been sworn to House Baratheon of Dragonstone ever since.
A traditional name of the Velaryons is Jacaerys.

Imagine. Maegor really doesn't treat women well. Maegor never treats his other wives and whores and mistresses well (except for his mother Tyrell reader and Visenya). However, he almost worships his brother Aerion's wife. Other women are jealous of your Stark reader. After the Stark reader becomes pregnant with her first child (Maegor ii), Maegor spoils her greatly. Maybe Maegor Stark even marries the reader and becomes her second husband.
One of Maegor's wives gathered enough courage to tell him that he has other wives to give his attention to, and it was the biggest mistake of her life.
Maegor worships you, as much a mad dragon like him can do. He always gives you the best. He also loves the fact that you are not deliberately doing anything to gain power. He loves that you have found it in your heart to give yourself willingly to him despite your previous beliefs.
He spoils you everyday. Precious jewels, cloths, all riches.
I am not sure he will declare you as his wife but he will definitely marry you in valyrian way in secret. You belong to him as much as you belong to Aerion. He will take you on dragon rides on Balarion just like Aerion takes you. He loves you more than anything and he always thank Aerion for marrying you and bringing you to the family

The assertions that Dany will "succumb" to her family's allegedly "evil legacy" or the "taint" in her blood require pathologizing her for being an abuse victim borne of rape and incest, buying into bioessentialist "genetics is destiny" argument, and decontextualizing most of the passages from her book arc. This post, with a song juxtaposed with out-of-context quotes from Dany's chapters, is an excellent example.
"Every child knows the Targaryens have always danced too close to madness." The only "mad" Targaryens were Rhaegel, Aerion, Aerys II, and Viserys III. If you want to stretch it, you can include Baelor, though he was more pious and fanatic than mad. Maegor was cruel but lucid. Rhaegar was not mad, despite being Aerys II's son. And the narrative has distanced Dany from Aerys II several times, because one of ASOIAF's central theses is not "you are your father's child," but "you can overcome your father."
"She could not look behind her, must not look behind her" is not Dany "refusing to look at her family's history." This is taken from her fever dreams in AGOT Dany IX, and what she can't look back at is an icy breath that would cause her a "death worse than death, howling forever alone in the darkness." It's the first time Dany sees the Others in her dreams, and she is the only other character in AGOT to dream of them, the other character being Bran.
"I made a horror just as great, but surely they deserved it. Harsh justice is still justice." This is Dany feeling guilty for crucifying 163 slavers. How is that a sign of madness or refusal to confront her family legacy? It's actually a sign that Dany has empathy even for the worst of humanity, even for her enemies. Also, crucifying slavers isn't evil. It's odd that the same fandom that calls Dany a slaver, slave trader, slave profiteer, and slavery enabler, also calls her a tyrant or mad for crucifying slavers. What is she supposed to do with slavers? What is the "proper" way to handle them?
The mother of monsters passage is more proof that Dany is introspective and self-critical. In children's media, shounen anime, and Marvel movies, a villain may unironically call themselves a monster, but in more complicated, nuanced, adult literature, characters who call themselves monsters usually aren't bad people. They're the self-deprecating, humble, and thoughtful characters who are reflecting on their flaws and mistakes. Again, if Dany is someone who refuses to think about the dark side of her family, she would not agonize over the consequences of using her power. Monstrosity is associated with being stigmatized, ostracized, and alienated by hegemonic forces in society, and those characters who identify with monstrosity often have something to reveal about the violence of the status quo and the normalization of oppression.
George is deconstructing the coin quote, not reinforcing it. Madness/greatness, ice/fire, east/west, north/south, sun/moon, pain/pleasure, love/hate, are all dichotomies in the novel that George sets out to show can unite in some way. As I said, most Targaryens were not "mad," and I find it odd that for a fandom as progressive as it frames itself to be, the ableist stereotyping of "foreign otherized race from the East is genetically predisposed toward madness" isn't something fans problematize more.
Dany longing for the house with the red door and wanting to rest, laugh, plant trees and see them grow, are also seen as signs of madness because of her statelessness and homelessness. If a teenage girl has been raped and abused, and is herself a product of rape and abuse, and comes from an exotic Eastern family, then apparently her longing for home is actually a bomb waiting to detonate inside her, because she's unfit to belong anywhere. It's shocking that this mentality is seen as media literate or subversive.
"Dragons plant no trees" has already been disproven by Dany's arc itself. Dany reclaims fire and blood by the end of ADWD because she realizes the peace in Meereen is false (which it is). Jon Snow goes from wanting to hire glassblowing apprentices to plant crops in greenhouses to grow food, to abandoning his vows and declaring war to save his sister, and then dies. Why is that not seen as a sign of "succumbing to madness?" The acts are narratively paralleled. Perhaps––and this may be crazy, but stay with me––the thesis of FeastDance is that you cannot grow, build, and heal a nation in soil watered with blood. No such rebuilding or regrowing is possible unless and until real change occurs, and for real change to happen, the corrupt old guard cannot stay alive.
Certainly TWOW will be a darker book for every viewpoint character, but it's interesting to see how a combination of pathologizing Dany for her gender, ethnicity, genes/biology, trauma, and stateless/rootless/homeless status as an exile/diaspora, with decontextualizing her chapters, quotes, and passages, and an overall misunderstanding of the themes of ASOIAF, to single Dany out as a "dark" character who won't be able to "outrun" her "negative family history."

I'm rereading AFFC and wondering if you have any thoughts/speculation on why Gerold Dayne has such a dark reputation in Dorne. We see it in action of course with Myrcella but in Arianne's POV and her later conversations with Doran, it's clear that his reputation preceded that act and he's explicitly described as the most dangerous man in Dorne but without any real explanation of why exactly. What might a knight like Gerold do to earn a reputation like that, to be considered "poison" even by someone as bold as Oberyn?
I think this is where the failure of Gerold Dayne as a would-be badass (which, of course, was the author's own, unsuccessful intent) becomes most obvious. "Show, don't tell" does not have to be an absolute rule in writing, but as you correctly note, we are shown nothing of Gerold Dayne's backstory or prior actions and instead almost entirely told what to think about Gerold Dayne. The most we can say about Gerold prior to AFFC is that he was occasionally a sexual partner to Arianne - a description which in absolutely no way justifies denoting him as "the most dangerous of all her [i.e. Arianne's] little group of plotters" or, even more laughably, "the most dangerous man in Dorne". Yes, a character who is willing to start a war by mutilating, with the intent to kill, an adolescent girl is a pretty terrible person - but we have no context on why Gerold was the sort of person who would have done that, or why everyone reacted so uneasily to the danger he ostensibly presented.
Hopefully, the author has more in mind on what to do with Gerold in TWOW so that we can get a better sense of where Gerold actually gained the reputation the author so badly wants us to believe. Certainly, the author has created his share of characters whom we might call mad, bad, and dangerous to know, but I think it will depend on what sort of danger the author wants Gerold Dayne to represent. Is Gerold a highborn sadist in the vein of, say, Aerion or Joffrey, people who enjoyed the pain they could inflict with the power their positions provide? Is Gerold ruthlessly ambitious in the vein of, say, "Big" Walder Frey, born to (relatively) little aristocratic inheritance but willing to do anything and everything to get himself into a greater power position? Does Gerold believe himself justified in the vein of, say, the Shavepate, willing to shed blood, even the blood of children, in the name of his cause? Does Gerold think of himself as some nationalist hero for Dorne, or does he only care about whatever his personal end goal may be? Any or none of these could be true, but whatever the author does choose I think may impact how he demonstrates Gerold Dayne's (apparently) dangerous reputation.

I have been thinking and I got sad. When Visenya was born Valaena and Aerion wanted Immortal Reader to hold their daughter, but Y/N didn’t want to because she would scare Visenya with her scars.
Back in Valyria, before it was doomed: when Immortal Modern Reader was released from Volcano mines, she was bearing horrible scars and burns on her body and her face. When a little boy and a girl were playing and running, they accidentally got hit by a stranger in a cloak. Once the stranger helped them to get up, the children looked closer to stranger’s face. The children cried and screamed for their parents, once their parents arrived, their father pushed off the stranger “WHAT DID YOU DO TO THEM?! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!” The stranger replied “I just wanted to help them. I didn’t mean to frighten them-“ before the stranger could finish, the father punched them in the face, which causes the stranger to fall on the ground and their hood is fallen, meaning their face could be seen. “By the gods! You’re a girl, what has happened to you?” “Don’t even ask her, wife. And you get out of here, you monster.” The stranger in the cloak was Immortal Modern Reader, who got punched by the father of the children who got scared of her. And of course those two powerful Valyrians (bastards) were calling her a monstrosity. Valyrians didn’t want to look at Reader, the children were scared of her. Basically Immortal Modern Reader was an outcast, the only ones who treated her well were dragons and of course Velaryons with Celtigars.
Back to Dragonstone: Valaena Velaryon and Aerion Targaryen still insisted Reader to hold baby Visenya. Immortal Reader did that, she expected Visenya to cry when she looks at her face. Baby Visenya didn’t cry instead she was quiet and showed a smile and started to laugh. “See? She loves you and she’s not afraid of you, Y/N.”☺️- Lady Valaena said. Immortal Reader was crying, because for once the child was not crying because of her look. And soon Aegon and Rhaenys were born.
Scenario: Yandere romantic Conquerors and Immortal Modern Reader were in bedchambers.
Yandere Aegon: Our parents said that you were crying, when you held us when we were little.
Immortal Modern Reader: Yes, I was. I was crying with happy tears 😌
Yandere Rhaenys: Can you tell us why? My love.
Immortal Modern Reader with tears in her eyes: Because… you didn’t see me as a monster.🥹
I leave my heart to this scenario.❤
There were three Houses that accepted the reader: Targaryens / Celtigars / Velaryons.
In addition, dragons also loved and protected the reader.
Scars or other skin imperfections do not make a person ugly.

Daemon and Baratheon Reader was chef kiss
How does she react when Daemon tries to be a good husband aftes more than a decade of neglet?
for once she has a form of power, Daemon needs her reacting to be a good husband, how do children react to this person they call father trying to be a good parent?
Would they probably have to go to court? Would Daemon walk up to the Reader and say for God's sake pretend I'm a good husband, or do they stay at Dragonstone, does he genuinely try to be better or does he try to outsmart his brother?
I don't think Viserys has to remarry, Daemon has seven children,so what happens to Alicent?
HOHOHO
You requested and i shall give. So before i begin, i must explain some details
Considering that yes, Daemon has 7 kids (3 boys and 4 girls) most likely that Viserys won't need to marry, he could instead (if Daemon were taken away from the line of heritage) make Baelon heir or marry him to Rhaenyra.
Daemon is trying to outsmart his brother, he doesn't care for wife and kids...at first
Also, here is the list of the kids before we actually begin:
Baelon (9-10 years old): Eldest and responsible son, wants to protect his family from his excuse of a father, rider of the Cannibal(Now named Viserion)
Aegon (8 years old): Second son and devoted sibling, follows up to his older brother since he has no father for that and he's also his brother's helper. Rider of the sheepstealer (he kept the name)
Aerea (7-8 years old): First daughter and most wise, is a bookworm who loves history and arts, also helps her mother and brother in taking care of her younger siblings. Soon to be rider of Grey Ghost
Elaena (5 years old): The second daughter and the scared little girl of the family, is shy and doesn't know how to respond to people scolding her. She follows up to her older siblings a lot. She has a young dragon called Starfyre, they are really close.
Aerion (3-4 years old): Third and last son, is the trouble child who throws tantrums whenever something doesn't go his way. He has a young dragon called Brightflame
Daena (2 years old): Third daughter, the giggly girl, curious and causes scandals thanks to it, like once when she ended up in the top of the castle and made Baelon pick her up with Viserion, no one know how she got there. Her dragon egg hatched but no name was decided
Rhaenys (2 weeks old): Fourth daughter, a quiet thing...sometimes. Her egg has not hatched yet.
->
"BAELON!"
"Oh so you do remember my name!"
The boy ran really fast after taunting the man he should call his "father", he knew it wasn't the brightest idea, but he also knew that he wouldn't get another chance to do this.
So to escape the man, he ran to his mother.
"See? It's not hurt dearest- Baelon?" - The Lady looked at her eldest confused while carrying for her second born, Aegon.
The boy immediately hid behind his mother and dragged his brother closer, Lady Baratheon although confused, found that a bit amusing.
But her smile didn't last long, in the moment her husband stepped inside the room.
"...What are you doing here?" - She questioned the Prince in her most serious tone.
"The King sended him away" - Baelon answered - "He threatened him and now the Prince wants to play 'Happy Family'"
"Boys, go find your siblings, it's almost late and you haven't ate" - Their mother ordered them, both the boys leave the room immediately.
The couple didn't look at each other, Lady Baratheon turn away to care for her little one.
"There's no need for you to stay here" - She told him - "I can write to Viserys as if you were doing your role as husband and father."
"Viserys is a fool, but not to this point, he will figure out sooner than later" - Daemon protested - "So you plan to torment me for a while until your brother is convinced?"
"You are going to trick our children to believe that they have a father after years?" - She questioned, obviously irritated with all of this - "And for what? What did he threatened you with that would make you come back- Ah..."
Lady Baratheon is no fool to Daemon's intentions and desires, she knows the only thing he keeps fighting for other than himself, was the bloody Iron Throne.
"All because of the throne...of course" - She put her daughter to sleep in her crib, and looks at her husband one more time - "I guess you lost then, because no one here is gonna help you."
"Our children don't know you, they call you "father" because they follow up to Baelon, a 9 year old boy who had done a way better job than you." - She reminded him - "And i have no feelings for you and i won't pretend that i have, so you might as well leave with your whore, for i have no intentions on helping you."
Daemon was impulsive, he immediately tried to grab his wife by the throat, but she was quicker and dogde the attack.
"Just leave at once or don't bother my family, make your choice then." - She says before leaving the room.
Daemon now looked around the room, and looked at the crib with the small child sleeping quietly.
No, he didn't wanted this life, but he couldn't escape from it, especially now.
Baelon, on other hand, was now sitting on the dining table with his 6 siblings now eating...or so he wished.
"I don't want this!!" - Exclaimed by Aerion, his younger brother who always throws a tantrum for anything he doesn't like. This time he keeps punching the table.
"Aerion, stop it! I trying to feed Daena! Baelon, do something!!" - Aerea demanded, as she was taking care of her little sister Daena.
Seeing the chaos entering the room, Baelon had one thing he could do to stop it.
"I WANT DESSERT! I WANT DESSERT" - Aerion yelling while making Elaena cover her years in frustration. Baelon got up from his seat and got next to his little brother.
"...Or you eat your food right now...or i will give Brightflame as food for Viserion" - He said with a low and serious tone - "Do you doubt me?"
"No..." - Aerion said with his arms crossed, knowing he was defeated, since Baelon knows how he loves his dragon.
Baelon sat back in his seat while dinner went smoothly.
"You weren't really going to give Brightflame to Viserion, right?..." - Elaena asked quietly to her brother - "Nah, but Aerion doesn't need to know that." - the little shit answered with a smirk on his face.
"Is mother coming soon? We almost done" - Aerea questioned - "Yeah! I want momma! Baelon is mean!" - Aerion exclaimed
"Mother is busy" - Baelon explained - "With father..." - Aegon said sadly
"FATHER?!" - All of the others yelled, while Daena giggled.
"Keep quiet! He can hear us!" - Baelon scolded them - "Thanks Aegon, no one needed to know that."
"Father is gonna stay here anyway..." - Aegon said - "No he won't, there's no reason for him to be here, he most likely will leave tomorrow or the morning after." - Baelon protested - "So we all must just ignore his presence."
"I'm gonna stab him" - Aerion threatened
"No Aerion!" - Everyone demanded
Later, Baelon was preparing himself to take a small ride on Viserion, so he walked down the halls with his siblings (Who wanted to see) and Sir Edrik.
All of them just failed to do one thing, spot their father not too far from them.

» In her youth princess Alysanne had been close to her mother, and while she remained a permanent fixture at her fathers side all throughout her teenage and early adult life and was known to be his sole favorite among lord Ottos many sons and daughters, she without a doubt was the daughter most alike to Queen Visenya. Alysanne had been born twelve years to late to be considered as a bride for her eldest brother Maegor, and while she was close to her brother Aerion both in age and mind, the two shared no great love as found between some of their siblings. Maesters believe that Queen Visenya had sought a powerful marriage alliance for her headstrong daughter early on, for if her daughter could not be queen after her she should at least be a great lady. The queen was no stranger to violence, both in war and marriage, she had encouraged Alysanne to claim the small red she-dragon called Evening as her own and taught her how to wield a sword herself, so she may defend herself, whether it be in the brooding conflict between Visenya and her half brother Aegon or against a unkind spouse. It was the knowledge of the princesses affiliation with unladylike activities and her lack of old Valyria’s beauty that made her a harder prize to sell than one would expect for a Targaryen princess. It was in the year 129 after the conquest, that the then princess Visenya and her fourteen year old daughter made for a tour through the Riverlands on dragonback. On the tenth day the two princesses arrived at Riverrun, to the great demise of old lord Grover, whom had been fearsome of the Targaryens possibly taking action against his rule to place his younger brothers children with princess Daenera, a daughter of the old king, in a position of power. It is unbeknown just what was discussed throughout the five day stay of the princesses, as the current Maester at the castle was terribly young and unorganized, but the fool of Riverrun known as the lord of fish or Fishlord, published a play that supposedly depicted the events that led to the engagement of princess Alysanne Targaryen and young sir Kermit Tully, the great grandson of Lord Grover Tully, within the same year before the fool was found to have been thrown into the water surrounding Riverrun with his throat sliced one morning, a spectacle that only let to popularize the tale he paints between Lord Tully and princess Visenya. Fishlord claimed that the rumors surrounding sir Kermit’s fancy for his fellow knights were true and that the princess had come to see her daughter wed to him with the promise that she would see the Tully line continued and keep her husbands interests under wraps, while also bringing her great aunts bloodline into inheritance again, when Lord Grover had asked how she intended to do so princess Visenya supposedly said: “You’ll need a girl who can keep her mouth and legs shut as loneliness tears at her heart, a girl that will not be lulled into bed by the comfort a handsome singer or knight has to offer, my daughter is such a girl. She will be Lady of Riverrun and she will give birth to strong and healthy sons, with red hair and blue eyes and there will be no question as to their true parentage. My aunts sons are young and strong yet, one of them will surely manage to sire a boy on her, and if not your grandson may have a try at it, seven hells, if it so be, you may try to fuck a babe into her yourself, for as long as you still can.”. And while it is highly unlikely that these were the actual words used by the future queen, Alysanne was betrothed to sir Kermit and married him shortly after the end of the dance in 132 AC and gave birth to five sons by him, red headed and rosy cheeked and without a hint of the brown hair her companion and later second husband, sir Rohan Longrivers, sported. « Daughters of the She-Dragon by Maester Riven

What if Rhaenyra had a twin brother? Does she marry him? Is Aemma's death butterflied away if Viserys already has his male heir? What happens?
okay so the thing about aemma. is that i know george can be very weird about gendered deaths, but women do in fact die in childbirth even today. or have complications that, in a period with the technology of westeros, would have killed them. like, people you know have probably had serious complications that might have killed them had they been born in a different time. aemma is 13. she is the age sansa is in affc, the age show sansa is in the first season, the age dany is when she loses rhaego. i canNot overstate the inbreeding here, we are talking levels higher than charles ii of spain. it makes complete sense that aemma has a hard time conceiving & that it ultimately kills her. there’s also no guarantee viserys stops wanting kids after one son; jaehaerys forces gael on alysanne and they’re supposed to be this great love, it is not out of the realm of possibility viserys does the same to aemma. she’s narratively doomed for a reason, unfortunately. so i’m not sure aemma does live even in the scenario that she has twins.
but. yes, rhaenyra and her brother would be married. they’d probably marry around 15-16, and no one would really expect viserys to remarry if his male heir is still alive, healthy, married, and starting to have kids. does this completely avoid the dance tho?
well. i mean, viserys doesn’t have to remarry but that doesn’t mean he won’t remarry. alicent is still hanging around at court. the velaryons may still take offense if viserys marries alicent. daemon has probably spent the last several years making his annoyance at his loss of status in the line of succession the problems of the innocent people in the stepstones, got bored of that, and has now decided to make it viserys’ problem again.
not to mention that heirs die all the time! aemon died! baelon died! baelor breakspear will die before daeron, daeron & aerion will die before maekar, and even outside the targaryens, edric dies before cregan, the arryns are on the brink of extinction every twenty years, and halys & daryn hornwood both die soon after each other which leaves hornwood hall’s inheritance in question. there’s like six potential political assassinations in the period just before the dance! there’s a lot of people with big egos and dragons running around, and i yet again cannot overstate how fuckijg inbred rhaenyra and her twin’s children are going to be.
imo daemon is Thee biggest problem in this scenario. he wants to be viserys’ heir so bad, and while he never takes any violent action against viserys, bc he loves viserys, i think rhaenyra existing with no man having a “claim” on her really placated daemon bc it made him feel he had a shot at staying somewhere near power through his wife (and like. he wasn’t wrong.) but if rhaenyra is spoken for, that changes daemon’s relationship with her AND viserys drastically. there’s so many options here for him to take to be a thorn in his brother’s side, from cuckolding his nephew to out and out murder, and if Viserys does remarry, or if Rhaenyra dies & her brother remarries, there is going to be more fighting and Daemon is gonna settle himself right in the middle of that. And that’s not even taking into account whatever the fucj Otto is doing because you know he’s doing something bc he is second born & has a complex over that and he hates daemon’s ass (and daemon hates him right back). larys and criston are still running around somewhere. qoren is still trying to dunk on corlys in the stepstones. i think so long as daemon is flying around on caraxes, he is still gonna amass a large group of haters, and both he and those haters are gonna bring that mess into the line of succession & viserys is too conflict avoidant to deal with him, which means it’s gonna become his kids’ problems and we know daemon is not above child murdering.
so can the dance be avoided? the casualties of it can certainly be avoided but the chekov's gun of "women cannot inherit" is still there waiting to absolutely FUCK house targaryen up, and with a royal family that is a little too eager to use dragons to fix their problems, there was likely always going to be some conflict. If Rhaenyra or her twin dies, or if they only have girls, and Daemon, Otto, Larys, Criston, and Corlys are all still running around trying to get their blood on the throne, there was inevitably going to be a conflict; it just might get pushed to be about Rhaenyra's children then about her and her twin brother.

...
Velaela Velaryon I the Bold had been a Seahorse Dreamer who had embarked in many adventures during her lifetime, in which she had found many riches and took them back home.
Velaela was said to have been a sorcerer and to also have spoken with the Merling King who according to tales communicated with Velaela through dreams.
Velaela the Bold taught all her children from her four marriages how to sail and the basics of many spells. From her is that the current line of the Velaryons descend.
Velaela the Bold's descendant: Velaela Velaryon II the Settler would honor her foremother's legacy by moving out of Valyria to other parts of the world, some of her siblings went to Valyrian colonies like Lys and Volantis whereas Velaela II sailed to Westeros.
In Westeros Velaela helped her kin settle in the island of Driftmark by negotiating with the smallfolk and it is said the Merling King gave her the Driftmark to protect and keep for her family.
Hundreds of years later her descendant Velaenys Velaryon would set sail to to visit her Velaryon relatives in Lys and Volantis and when she came back she brought many riches and proved she had inherited the magic gifts of her ancestor Velaela the Bold.
Velaenys would eventually become the ruling Lady of Driftmark, she wed twice and from her first marriage her daughter Velaenya was born and years later in her second marriage Velaenys had a boy named Aerion.
Velaenys declared Velaenya as her heir and trained her in the arts of sorcery and bards still sing about how Velaenya's wit and beauty made her even richer than her mother.
Velaenya was the mother of Khaella Velaryon who in turn was the mother of Vaellon Velaryon; Vaellon wed the oldest daughter of Maegon Targaryen -who had abdicated his inheritance of Dragonstone to live in tranquility to his brother Aerys- Aemollie Targaryen and they had Daemon Velaryon.
Aerion sired Rhaenor Velaryon who in turn wed Aellodie Velaryon, the youngest daughter of Maegon Targaryen who had had her in his old days. Rhaenor and Aellodie's daughter Valaena wed the heir to Dragonstone lord Aerion Targaryen becoming the parents of the Conquerors.
Daemon had had children with another woman before his marriage to Aemelle - daughter of the Targaryen explorer lady Aemyn with the lord Saeron Targaryen, cousins of Lord Aerion Targaryen - and together they had three sons: Aethan, Aellar and Corlys.
Daemon and Aemelle would later have four sets of twins in their old days; two of them went to live in Lys and Volantis, and the other two in Isle of Tarth and Estermont, all of them wedding Velaryons of old with whom they exerted power.
Aethan Velaryon, the eldest son of Daemon Velaryon, wed lady Alarra Massey the daughter of Lord Massey and Lady Anya Targaryen, who was the daughter of Lord Baelon Targaryen -after his brother Aelyx died without trueborn heirs- who did not have trueborn sons and therefore Dragonstone went to his brother Daemion, Aerion Targaryen's father.
Aethan and Alarra Massey had seven children; four boys and three girls which included Lady Alyssa Velaryon who would eventually become queen of the Seven Kingdoms and Daemon Velaryon the Lord Admiral of both Maegor the Cruel and Jaehaerys Targaryen.
Aellar's granddaughter Larissa Velaryon was a lady in waiting to her second cousin Princess Rhaena and her daughter Valeria Velaryon made an edict in which she decreed she would pass her last name to her future descendants.
And Corlys became one of the first members of the Kingsguard of King Aegon I Targaryen.
After Alyssa Velaryon was able to make her son Jaehaerys king after the war against Maegor Targaryen and avenge the deaths of her first two sons Aegon and Viserys and the hostage taking of her daughter Rhaena Targaryen and granddaughters Aerea and Rhaella, Alyssa wed Rogar Baratheon with whom she had Boremund and Jocelyn Baratheon.
Another brother of Alyssa wed a lady of House Wylde for the sake of alliances and their daughter Lucilla wed Lord Boremund Baratheon. Boremund's uncle Ronnal wed lady Aenna Velaryon one of the grandchildren of the deceased Lord Daemon Velaryon through one of his sets of twins.
Daemon, the son of Aethan and Alarra, wed his cousin Lady Viserra Velaryon and together they had Corwyn, Jorgen, Victor and four daughters.
Corwyn and his wife Coraella Velaryon had Vaellor, Corlys, Anyssa, Ellenia and Aeijion Velaryon.
Ellenia married Louis Velaryon, a Velaryon located in a fortress of Volantis, (it was rumored she slept with his sister Willow too) and had two daughters and three sons by him.
Anyssa married a Velaryon trader called Sung-Moo Jeon whose parents lived in Storm's End, she got to travel the world alongside Sung-Moo and they had two daughters and five sons and after his death due to a fever she wore black symbolizing her grief which she endured until her death.
After five years of being a widow she married her cousin Aemion and they had two sons.
Aeijion had a tranquil life with his wife Vaenice Velaryon and they had five sons.
Even though Vaellor had been born before Corlys he had died and his oldest son with his wife Kean Velaryon, Vaemond, had shown an ambition greater than his common sense and wit, after a council in which they deemed Corlys better suited for the Driftwood throne Corlys Velaryon son of Corwyn Velaryon was made Lord of Driftmark.
Vaemond -who had wed a Velaryon cousin- and his oldest son Daemion Velaryon always tried to get Driftmark but Vaemond had been executed after declaring the three sons Rhaenyra Targaryen had birthed during her marriage to Lord Laenor who all had chestnut brown hair and light brown eyes (and many whispered had been fathered by Ser Harwin Strong) were bastards.
After the Red Spring, in which Lord Corlys' children with his wife The Princess Rhaenys The Queen Who Never Was, Laena and Laenor Velaryon died, and Laenor's supposed sons Jacaerys, Lucerys and Joffrey Velaryon died in the Dance of the Dragons, Driftmark went to Laenor's bastard son Addam Waters (though many think his brother Alyn and him were actually Corlys' bastard sons with Marilda of Hull) who had been legitimized by Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, and after his death his brother Alyn became the heir to Driftmark and ruled it after Lord Corlys died.
After an attack of the Silent Five a group formed of the deceased Vaemond Velaryon's cousins, the sons of Lord Aeijion Velaryon, Alyn wed Princess Baela Targaryen, one of the twin daughters of Lady Laena Velaryon and Prince Daemon Targaryen.
Alyn and Baela's ward and cousin Daenaera Velaryon was the granddaughter of Vaemond Velaryon through his second and youngest son Lord Daeron Velaryon with Lady Hazel Harte.
After being presented in the Maiden Ball Daenaera wed King Aegon III Targaryen who was the paternal half-brother of Princess Baela.
Baela and Alyn had two trueborn children: Laena, and Corlys who was the youngest of their children together, both their children had a legacy of greatness.
*Alyn also had an affair with Princess Elaena the daughter of Aegon III and Daenaera during the last days of life of Princess Baela Targaryen when she was sick and continued it after her death, however Alyn got lost in the sea during the second half of the year 172 AC and Princess Elaena who had borne him bastard twins in 173 AC had to accept in 175 AC that Alyn would not come back.
Alyn's bastards with Princess Elaena, Jon and Jeyne had been taken care of by their second cousin Prince Daeron and Princess Myriah Martell and both Jon and Jeyne wed into House Waxley and House Borrell from the Vale, Jon's trueborn son in the end gave a new last name to himself, his children and future descendants: Longwaters.
Elaena's sister Princess Rhaena who had become a septa took it upon herself between 173-174 AC to regain the trust of House Velaryon by being by their side building fortresses and buildings and paying them the weight of her bastard nephew and niece in gold and Princess Elaena later sent her son Viserys Plumm to be a squire for the Velaryons during some years before leaving to squire for House Serrett.*
Baela and Alyn's first son Corlys Velaryon wed Velaela Velaryon who was a descendant of Ellenia Velaryon. The current rulers of Driftmark descend from Corlys Velaryon, the son of Baela Targaryen and Alyn Velaryon.
Viseron, Corlys' son had married Haellia Velaryon who was a descendant of Valeria Velaryon and exerted a great influence in the Stormlands, they made peace with all the other branches of House Velaryon.
Baela and Alyn's firstborn child and firstborn daughter as well was Laena who had learnt how to glide through the air alongside her mother, and she helped many children in the whole realm, as well as fund the education of many with her cousin Rhaena the Septa. Laena had wed a Velaryon lord son who was the son of Daemion Velaryon.
Corlys' sons and Laena's sons were wed to distant Velaryon cousins and to Princess Rhaena's grandchildren.
Corlys' granddaughter Viseriya had been wed to Lord Caron as an arrangement made by Daeron II when Dorne joined the Seven Kingdoms.
A Velaryon lord had also been considered as a betrothed for Princess Aelora Targaryen before she died.
When the Prince Duncan Targaryen spurned his Baratheon bride the lady Elenei Baratheon, King Aegon V wed the lady to the young Lord Alexar Velaryon, and when Prince Jaehaerys did the same with lady Celia Tully, King Aegon V wed her to the lord Aexor Velaryon who had made a fortune for himself and his branch of the Velaryons family and in the end they were able to enrich themselves.
Many generations have passed and today House Velaryon still have the position of Lord of the Tides and their dominion of Driftmark and High Tide, being a proud and resilient House.

GAME OF THRONES: HISTORY AND LORE -MAGIC. all sentences are taken from a mini-web series of hbo's game of thrones with different characters narrating different aspects of the world. this specific sentence memes is made from various videos related to magical aspects of the world (r'hallor religion not included) change pronouns, names and locations as seen fit.this is a long post.
Wargs and the Sight.
When my turn came,  I would ask Old Nan to tell us of magic and monsters.
Long ago, the world was new,  the children of the forest sang the song of the earth and the earth listened.
Magic was strong in those days and the children could commune with all the beasts of the forest.
The greatest of them could even leave their bodies to hunt, swim and fly in the skins of animals.
Then the first men came with fire  and swords, they burned the way woods and cut down the children
After peace came, the two races shared the land and the children's gods for thousands of years.
Nobody knows how or why but the magic of the children began to emerge in men.
maybe one child in a thousand would be born a warg, fewer still would be born with the sight.
With it the children could know of events far away and even though still to come, some say the sight was the children's most powerful and terrible secret.
It helped turn the tide during the long night.
Magic has since fled our world.
How can you tell if the man is wearing the beast or the Beast is wearing the man.
I don't like scary stories anymore, because I'm in one.
The Night's Watch and the White Walkers.
I am the sword in the darkness, I am The Watcher on the walls, I am the shield that guards the realms of men.
I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch for this night and all the nights to come.
Legend tells of a winter that lasted a generation and of a vast and terrible darkness that fell across the land.
It came to be known as the long night in the midst of this darkness.
The White Walkers emerged from the far north with their armies of the Dead. They waged war against the living, laying waste to villages and old fasts leaving terror and destruction in their wake.
After years of brutal conflict and unbearable loss an alliance of the first men and the children of the forest managed to drive the walkers and their minions back into the frigid northern wastelands from whence they came.
To prevent another invasion, the first men erected the wall a massive fortification 700 feet in height stretching from the frostfang mountains
It was a structure unlike any ever built indeed, some Montaigne acknowledged having been completed with the aid of Giants or using the powerful magic of the ancient children of the forest.
Men were required to guard and maintain it and thus the Night's Watch was born a sworn Brotherhood tasked with defending the realms of men against the dark forces.
The White Walkers have yet to return.
Dragons.
Fire made flesh. such as the nature of dragons.
Fire consumes leaving nothing at its end, nought but ash.thus the fate of the Targaryen and their dragons thousands of years ago.
valerian stumbled on the first dragon eggs in the mountains of the 14 fires
cannot imagine shepherds could hatch dragon eggs and bind such creatures to their will but whatever aid they must have had is lost to history.
what is left of Valyria is a smoking wasteland ash in time.
Aegon Targaryen and his sisters brought their three dragons who had escaped the doom to Westeros perhaps thinking to regain his people's lost glory
He proved that armies were no match for dragons
His first act to order, his dragon balerion the black dread to melt the soles of his beaten goes into his new Iron Throne
their skulls used to line the throne room of the red keep in order of birth.
The oldest, Balerion, could swallow an ox.
The Targaryen never stopped trying to revive their dragons.
Aerion Brightflame drank a draught of wildfire and burned to death.
The young Daenerys Targaryen has hatched three dragons far to the east.
If she were to be so foolish as to march on Westeros she will not find as her ancestor Aegon did seven disparate kingdoms frightened by strange beasts.
We have known of dragons now. We have seen them die.

Can we get more on Viseriya Targaryen and her relationship with Maegor and Aerion?
Viseriya was mostly raised by Maegor and Aerion's Tyrell!mother. She grew up seeing Tyrell!mother follow all the traditions and she was always close with her uncles Maegor and Aerion. She always knew she will marry one of them. She saw Maegor and Aerion with many women, sometimes multiple women at once. Tyrell!mother would tell her she will be the most important woman in their lives one day.
Imagine Viseriya arranged to marry Aenys' son. Imagine Maegor and Aerion taking over the castle right before the wedding. Maybe Maegor marries Viseriya right there or maybe there is a grand wedding just days later. Imagine Viseriya wearing the most beautiful revealing wedding dress, designed by Tyrell!mother. Imagine Viseriya edged all night right before the wedding day so she is ready for the wedding ceremony.
Both Maegor and Aerion claiming her during the bedding ceremony. Claiming all her holes. Declaring she belongs to the mad dragons.
She loves both Maegor and Aerion dearly. She loves the attention. She loves their cruelty. She loves their madness. She loves the pain and pleasure.
Both Maegor and Aerion values and love her more than their other wives. She knows their other wives are beneath her, even the ones who claims they are from respectable houses or that their husband loves them.
Imagine Viseriya pleasuring and riding Maegor or Aerion in front of their wives.
Maegor and Aerion are totally addicted to Viseriya. They will sometimes take her with them even when going to war. Imagine them claiming her in a tent at night and their shadows arw very visible from outside, the armys watching. Or claiming her after a war where Maegor and Aerion are covered in blood. The dragons believe that if a child is conceived on a battlefield it grows up to be a powerful king.
Viseriya is very manipulative and seductive so she knows how to keep the two mad dragons wrapped around her fingers, just like how all three of them are wrapped around Tyrell!mother's finger

something i’m observing in knight of the seven kingdoms is how people are drawn to dunk. after just one conversation, they seem to trust him implicitly and rely on him to uphold ideals of justice and honor. for example: egg, baelor breakspear, the fossoway squire raised to be a knight, eustace osgey. (i say men and not “people” bc the only woman given any page time so far is tanselle; her service worker/customer relationship with dunk + lower position in the hierarchy at the tournament + Westerosi Misogyny very likely informs their interactions. i’m about to meet rohanne and may update with my thoughts afterward.)
it would be wrong to say that dunk is wholly good. this is asoiaf; both grrm’s heroes and villains typically have complex moral values. rather, dunk 1) tries to be good and 2) believes it’s possible to be good in a world that rewards power and violence over anything else. he also maintains these convictions when “common sense” says otherwise and/or his bodily safety is at risk—i.e. kicking a targaryen prince in the mouth. men who want to be good and recognize how fucked westerosi society is are drawn to dunk like moths to a flame. these men also believe they’re shrewder than dunk; their convictions clash with their notion of “common sense.”
as a result, they revere him as a perfect expression of knighthood ideals and feel inspired to fight for honor again. this is why egg gets dunk when aerion hurts tanselle and, i believe, why baelor breakspear eventually fights by his side. (dunk is obviously not perfect; he has his own character arc to go through. he’s pretty uncomfortable with this reverence and feels a lot of misplaced guilt over his actions—an common ironic trait for heroes that fits really well in this narrative.) baelor is especially interesting in this context. right before he dies, he accepts dunk into his service and professes him as the type of man westeros needs. although we don’t have his pov, we can surmise his disillusionment with both his family and the feudal system overall.
as the dunk & egg stories deal with the aftermath of the blackfyre rebellions, i think we can also surmise that baelor’s disillusionment comes from winning the battle against “the pretender,” only to find the targs lacking honor, valor, kindness. perhaps dunk’s immediate willingness to risk everything to protect just one person inspires him to action once again, to a tragic end. (really good writing moment for grrm tbh, it’s going to be one of those asoiaf scenes that sticks with me.)
all in all, i really like dunk’s contribution to asoiaf’s internal questions about Being a Good Person. is staying honorable possible? does it even matter to believe in justice and honor when the world is unjust and dishonorable? how do i stay true to my convictions when i also want to stay alive and protect my loved ones? many characters encounter these questions—brienne & jaime are the most salient examples of Dunk Vibes from the og series, but there’s also dany, sam tarly, sansa, arya, ned, tyrion, sandor clegane, lady stoneheart, etc. dunk & egg also allows grrm to really lay into the monarchy and get into pacifism. anyway, i’m excited to see how these themes further develop in the rest of the dunk & egg stories and twow/ados (obligatory 😵‍💫 disclaimer.)
