#Allison's mom seeing her face everywhere as a reminder that this is the child you gave away

Thinking about how some of the Umbrella Academy/ Sparrow's mothers probably just gave them away willingly because they thought their child was a demon or the anti-christ.

🤍 HARGREEVES x SIBLING
Tumblr media
Title : babie hen
Pairing : none
Warning : a few cuss words and this is long ok
Request : Hi! May I request a headcanon with the reader (number eight) and the siblings, where the reader is like super caring to all of them? Thank you! 💕
Note : Hiii 🤍 i hope this is to your liking hehe
Tumblr media
i made a wholeass scenario before i reread the request and noticed the word hEADCANON SO IM V SORRY THAT THIS WAS DELAYED I-
anyway-
Number Eight-
ah yes, the sweetest babie in the whole world, as mentioned by Klaus at some point in their lives
said babie is also their mother hen- well, aside from Allison that is
Luther Hargreeves
eightie always makes sure that Luther never overworks himself
and when he does, your always there for him
making sure he’s hydrated
feeding him lil snacks so that he isn’t starving
i bet you sliced off the crusts of the sandwich bc we all know Luther can be a big babie too hmph
and you’re just overall being there for him, supporting him like any sister would do for their older brother
but when he tries to over overwork himself, which is rare as it only happens when he’s anxious about something, you bet your ass you trapped him in a water sphere and nyoomed him to his room and onto his bed- basically forcing him to rest gorl he’s wet he has to shower before napping but ok-
now that that big babie is in his room, time to check on big babie number two-
Diego Hargreeves
Diego- the lil menace currently chasing Klaus with knives for who knows what reason
you weren’t even gonna ask
it’s nothing new
but anway-
you called them for snacks thus ending their “game of tag”
game of tag my ass-
more like pin the dagger on Klaus
while eating the sandwiches you made them, you noticed a lil bit of jam on the corner of Diego’s mouth
the moment Klaus ran off after eating his sandwich, and Diego stood up to follow him, you took a napkin, licked it a bit, and wiped the jam off of Diego’s face
lil murderous babie blushed and whined at you to stop
you kept wiping at his skin as though the jam was still there just to play with him
anyway, after you stopped, he quickly left to - maybe - go find Klaus
before he left though, he turned to you, wrapped his arms around you, mumbled a quick “thank you eightie” and ran off
keeping in mind where your three siblings are, you decided to go find Allison
Allison Hargreeves
surprisingly, you find both Allison panicking in her room
apparently Luther asked her out and she doesn’t know what to wear, how to style her hair, how to do her make-up, should she wear ma-
she was freaking out bc she never thought Luther would gather his wits and actually ask her out !!!
she wasn’t prepared ok
and u forced Luther to sleep i- reminder to wake him up later
maybe he tried to over overwork himself bc he’s nervous about their date oop
you immediately entered the room and shut the door behind you
first date, so it should be a good experience ok
keeping this in mind, you calmly told her to sit down on her bed and take sips of from the glass of water beside her bed
going through her closet and picking out a casual outfit was easy- Allison has great taste so it wasn’t a challenge at all
clothes and shoes done, and Allison is now calm
you gently lead her to her vanity and slowly started doing a half-up half-down hairdo
for her makeup, you went with a natural makeup- neutral eyeshadow, mascara, a bit of blush, and red lipstick
dress on, heels on, hair done, makeup done, sister immaculate
you were done
simple yet elegant- was how she looked
standing behind the seated woman known as your sister, you slightly teared up- you don’t know why exactly but you-
you felt like a proud mom aww
Allison hugged you and thank you profusely
“Don’t you dare ruin my masterpiece,” you threatened with a wink
you were rewarded with a giggle and a smile
dismissing yourself while she went ahead and took selfies,
you immediately went to go look for Luther i-
after waking him up, it wasn’t hard to stop his whining and convince him to start moving,
you just had to remind him of his date with Allison
and poof
mans was gone
nah not really- he just went to go change
anyway-
now that you think about it- how’s Klaus?
with that thought in mind, you went out of Luther’s room in search of your high brother
Klaus Hargreeves
you found him in the wine cellar
of course
“Klaus, what’re you doing here?”
“Eightie! Fancy seeing you here 🤍 how are you? I haven’t seen you since you fed me that sandwich- great sandwich by the way; the filling was mwah chef’s kiss,”
he said smiling while holding onto vodka 🤍
you internally rolled your eyes and grabbing his wrist, led him upstairs and into his room
you sat down on his bed with your back comfortably resting on his headrest
he just stood their looking resigned
he knew what was about to happen
you do this at least once a week
secretly he was happy though
these weekly talks always made him feel light by the end of the conversation
anyway, he laid down with his head onto your lap
the moment you started combing your hand through his hair, he spilled everything that bothered him
how his power still scared him- seeing the dead anywhere and everywhere
some trying to talk to him
some just creepily staring at him
and some- some trying to harm him
and that he sometimes felt useless or like a nobody in the family
how he felt like such a disappointment
you listened to everything - even to the ones he never said out loud - calmly and patiently
and when he was done, you slowly started refuting everything he said with various memories
his powers once helped you both help a lost soul find his way back home
he always tries to lighten the mood whenever the tension in the room gets high
he’s always there for all of you, offering his love, whenever and wherever
he sets back his problems in order to help you all solve your problems first
the more memories you recall, the better Klaus felt about himself
and that’s what mattered
Five, Ben, and Vanya Hargreeves
after staying to talk with Klaus for a bit longer, you excused yourself after he claimed to be taking a nap
walking around, you hear faint rustling from inside the study room
walking in, you see Five, Ben, and Vanya in various positions by the couch
Five was sitting on the floor, back pressed against couch
Ben was leaning against the arm of the couch with his legs on top of Vanya’s
and Vanya was sitting cross legged on the couch
all three were listening to Ben read a poem
a poem possibly written by him considering the book he was reading was journal
you were about to excuse yourself to give them their privacy when Ben called you over and invited you
looking at your other two siblings and receiving a nod, you thanked them and sat on the floor beside Five who then leaned his head onto the top of your head- yes, you were short
Ben continued reading the poem and you were right- it was poem
a poem that seemed to be about his feelings
you were saddened by how he felt when you were younger but hearing how he feels now boosted your mood- especially when you heard that your siblings were a big factor on why he felt happy and motivated nowadays
hearing a faint grumble beside you, you tapped Five’s thigh to get his head off you so that you can get up
after some grumbling and whining from the man-child, you got up and said you’ll be right back
you left after kissing their cheeks, earning a smile and a blush from Ben, a smile from Vanya, and a pout from Five who still didn’t want you to leave
you pinched his cheek for good measure before running off giggling
arriving at the kitchen, you were surprised - but not really - to see Five there
apparently he went into the kitchen “to help you carry things”
sure- he just wanted to see what you’d make
and so you made them all sandwiches and trimmed the sides off of course which earned youa pleased hum from your ever so helpful brother
his sandwich, after his persistence, had two extra marshmallows
after making their sandwiches you convinced him to head on first with them
and once he left, you went on to make tea for yourself, juice for both Ben and Vanya, and your special brew for Five
once entering the room, the tray of drinks was immediately snatched from you and popped onto the table with Five wearing a cat got the canary grin, “ahh the only person in the world who knows how to make a proper blend- aside from me of course.”
you rolled your eyes and thanked him for his rare compliment on your coffee making skills
Ben and Vanya thanked you for the snacks and you beamed at them and kissed their cheeks as a reply
which led to Five asking you where his kiss was
knowing you’ll get nowhere arguing with him, you kissed his cheek while he was in the middle of ranting of why he deserves a kiss too
which led to his rant being cut off and him spluttering while slowly turning red
which led to you, Vanya, and Ben laughing which resulted in Five slowly smiling and joining your laughter as well
and that’s how you spent your afternoon- the four youngest siblings bonding- talking and laughing about anything and everything under the sun until you ran out of topics and just laid in comfortable silence to the point where you all fell asleep
and that’s how the eldest four siblings found you-
Allison placed a blanket over all of you before leaving with Luther to go on their date
Diego took the trays, plates, and cups you used for your snacks and brought them downstairs before leaving to gomeet with Detective Patch
and Klaus- Klaus laid down next to you so you were in between him and Five and feel asleep almost immediately
the first sleep he’s had in years that didn’t contain nightmares- and of course it was because you were there
you were always there for him- for all of them, really
you never shyed away from showing affection
and you never failed to show your love and care for them
ever

Everything Wrong With The Umbrella Academy. Episode 5, Number Five.
We Only See Each Other at Weddings and Funerals
Run Boy Run
Extra Ordinary
Man on the Moon
Disclaimer: This is all in good fun! I wanted to do a really nitpicky re-watch of the series and found some really cool and interesting things I didn’t notice before. This is meant to have a Cinema Sins-esque tone. However, I did take off a lot more sins than Cinema Sins would have because I do genuinely like the series and the people that made it possible. So all of the good things got one sin off and all the bad things got one sin added. This is a really long post, so grab some popcorn. If there’s anything that I missed, feel free to add it!
I would also like to add that normally you wouldn’t watch a show this way. I am purposefully looking for mistakes, easter eggs, and other things that we’re not supposed to notice. I am watching not with the goal of entertainment, but for analysis. So most of the things that I sin, I am seeing for the first time.
Number Five
The apocalypse looks incredible. Well done special effects team! I know I already shouted them out, but they deserve another one. Or two. -2
Five shades Dolores with an umbrella. What a considerate dude. -1
Heat of the Moment is an awesome song. -1
Five’s survival gear. Well done costume department. -2
Also, the progression of skill and age is really well done. -1
Dolores’s little santa hat. -1
And her sunglasses. -1
“Do you remember that little mansion just outside city limits where we-- yeah” Noodle incident. However, the way Five says this implies that I really, really don’t wanna know. +1
Argyle Public Library. Suddenly the reason why Five went there makes sense. -1
How did Five get all the way up there on the library walls? Did he use a ladder? If so, that was begging for him to fall and break his name. +1
Sean Sullivan (who plays Old Man Five) does an excellent job imitating Aidan Gallagher’s vocal patterns and movements. -1
The Handler is the first person Five sees after 45 years of isolation. +1
Title screen lunch box! -1
Also, Five kept a lunch box to remind him of his family. He had Vanya’s book but nothing else with their images on it. I’m sad now, but glad that Five at least had something. -1
Five is so hungover. +1
Luther looks like he’s about to cry when Five tells him about finding their dead bodies. My boy! +1
Tom Hopper is an excellent actor. -1
Five also looks like he’s about to cry. +1
Aidan Gallagher is an excellent actor. -1
Luther lifts up Diego and holds him like Diego is an angry toddler. This amuses me. -1
See! I told you. Diego figured out that Five was involved with the shootings at Griddys and Gimbel Brothers on Patch’s doorstep! -1
“They work for my former employer. A woman called The Handler.” No one in this show is allowed to have a reasonable name. +1
Underneath how callous Five is about Patch’s death, he shows genuine concern for Diego. -1
Diego has not slept at all. And he is planning to go after Hazel and Cha Cha. Good luck with that, buddy. +1
Luther finally gets tired of Five vagueing everybody. Good job, I’m curious too. Er, I was when this was my first time watching it. -1
The Handler decides to wear three inch red pumps to the apocalypse. +1
The Handler is as vague as a Multi Level Marketing schemer would be.+1
The Commission decides to wait 45 years to recruit Five instead of a more reasonable number. Like zero years. Honestly, if I was the Handler, I would have picked up Five as a young, impressionable thirteen year old. Then he would feel indebted to the Commission and wouldn’t have had time to come up with the equations to escape. The Commission has no logical reasoning skill. +1
“You’re saying that I could actually leave here? Go...go back?” Heartbreaking. Sean Sullivan gets another sin off. -1
“All of this, was supposed to happen”. Kate Walsh is a kick ass actress. -1
The Commission is composed of dicks. +1
Five asks Dolores for permission before running off to join The Commission. -1
Five’s mustache. +1
I would watch a spin off of Five’s time in the Commission. Hopefully season 2 explores this more. Dallas plot, here we come? Sin until we get some answers. +1
You can see Five’s epiphany in his eyes. His expression says “I’ve got it! I’ve got it!” -1
The words on Vanya’s book look real. The props department did not have to go that hard. -2
However, whatever notes Five wrote are indecipherable. And for good reason if he was attempting to fool an entire time commission. -1
The fire extinguisher Klaus throws confirms for Five that the portal works. -1
Also, Five is clutching Vanya’s book. It’s like he’s nervous to see them again after so much time. -1
The fall from the portal to the ground doesn’t break, scratch, or hurt Five at all. +1
Also, Dallas plot foreshadowing? Remains a sin until we have answers. +1
I hope that they show Five picking up his hat, radio, gun, and possibly the fire extinguisher and that is why we never found any of those in a grassy knoll. Season 2 better resolve this. +1
“But that’s murder”. Luther, you threw people out of buildings when you were twelve years old. That is also murder. +1
Aidan Gallagher kills the delivery in this scene. Well done. -1
Klaus still has Dave’s blood on his hands. Also, putting Klaus through even more trauma. +1
Robert Sheehan and the heartbroken thousand yard stare. -1
The music choice really works. -1
That emotional, awful scream. -1
The briefcase exploding may foreshadow Klaus’s comic powers. Sin until we get answers. +1
Hazel and Cha Cha casually murdered Claudia. +1
“Unauthorized round trip travel to 1968”. This is how we found out where Klaus went. It requires a bit more brain power to figure out the Vietnam war from here, however, I think that this was a clever way to do it. It brings us back to the reason Klaus ended up there. -1
Honestly, Hazel was right to not carry the briefcase on him. If Five had seen it at Gimbel Brothers then he would have taken it because he knows what it is. It would be an insurance policy or could be used as leverage. Either way, Hazel and Cha Cha were going to lose their briefcase. +1
Allison, you were there when Vanya made breakfast plans with Leonard. Is the coffee and bombolini your way of trying to distract Vanya? Because based on the makeup and the nice scarf, it isn’t likely that you will be successful. +1
Vanya has a framed piece of sheet music. Either that’s some really valuable manuscript or its something kitschy. Either way, it’s a sin. +1
“What are you concerned about?” Vanya, the red flags are everywhere. +1
“Like a woman who’s based her whole life on rumors.” Ouch. Allison is trying to give you genuine advice, Vanya. This was uncalled for.  +1
Leonard is getting progressively creepier. +1
“Can you imagine sharing your birthday with six world-famous assholes who all know they’re better than you?” Choke on that irony. +1
Leonard doesn’t stop her by saying, “Wait, that’s salt!” he waits until she already put salt in it.  Dick. +1
“What happened to the other girl?” Harold, you know damn well. +1
Good use of Beethoven. -1
Klaus is back in the bath. Bookends to his tourture. +1
Klaus is haunted by memories of Vietnam this time instead of just ghosts in general. Trauma. +1
I made eye contact with Aidan Gallagher again. +1
Klaus doesn’t want to talk about Vietnam with Five because the last time he tried to connect, Five jumped away. +1
Five looks really excited to connect about time travel with somebody in his family. -1
Five doesn’t care that Klaus was tortured by Hazel and Cha Cha. +1
Five, Klaus has been tortured and then was in some war (Five wouldn’t know yet) for almost a year. This proves that Five’s decision making is impared. Presumably by his hangover. +1
Diego takes out his dagger from episode 1’s bank robbery. This is significant because of something Patch said. That Diego runs around as a vigilante to prove that what he did with the Umbrella Academy had meaning. Now that that has gotten Patch killed indirectly, he feels upset and confused. The dagger that he used as a child is now a symbol of what he did to Patch. -1
The fridging of Detective Patch. Yes, I’m still pissed about it and will continue to be pissed about it. +2
At this point, Klaus doesn’t know about Mom’s “death”. And I don’t think Five does either. The Umbrella Academy of Not Talking To Each Other should be the school’s full name. +1
Allison and Cha Cha don’t see each other when getting into or out of the chairs right across from one another. +1
Allison is doing the equivalent of social media stalking her sister’s boyfriend. Smart. -1
Extra Ordinary bites everyone in the ass. Thanks, Vanya. +1
Five and Allison have the same slow, blocky handwriting. Did Reggie teach them to write as slowly and as large as possible? +1
Hazel and Agnes’s flirting. It’s cute? -1
Klaus ran down the stairs wearing Grace’s heels and broke his jaw when they were twelve. Trauma. +1
Diego can’t park for shit either. Diego and Five need to learn how to park vehicles. +1
Klaus’s little “Hey, Dave” when he sees Dave’s picture. -1
The show fakes out the vet confronting Klaus. Clever. -1
Diego is genuinely concerned for Klaus. -1
The vet is itching for a fight. Asking a drunk person to apologize? Dumbass. +1
“I’d like to apologize...that you are depriving some village of their IDIOT!” -1
Klaus and Diego get into a bar fight in less than five minutes. Checks out. -1
Agnes sees the birds the way Hazel sees normal people. I like the analogy. -1
Agnes does not own Griddys. Who does? Is she the manager or something? +1
Hazel and Agnes theme. -1
Diego’s face when Klaus says he lost the only person he ever loved more than himself. He’s thinking, “Klaus lost his Eudora”. -1
No way in hell Five would have been able to get up as high as the chalk goes. +1
Five is still using Vanya’s book as a notebook. Checks out. -1
The rifle Five pulls out looks a lot like the one he points at the Handler. It doesn’t look like the one he pointed at Kennedy. Why would Five lie about this? +1
Luther, you murdered people when you were twelve. +1
Luther dangles Dolores out the window by her neck. Logical, yeah. Fucked, also yeah. +1
The level of concern Five has for Dolores. -1
Also, well done creating tension, show. My heart was beating like crazy. -1
The Gigue from Partita No. 2 in D Minor by Bach is one of my favorite pieces.  -1
No one stops playing like that. +1
Allison takes her not-stalking info to Vanya and presents it really accusingly. At this point, Vanya is sick of your shit, Allison. +1
“You’re trying to dig up dirt on a guy that I like, who does that?” Everyone with an internet connection does this for the people they care about. What Allison did was hella extra though. +1
Vanya is getting more assertive. -1
Vanya is a dick to Allison. +1
“They’re a real frickin’ mess”. Understatement of the century. +1
Cha Cha wouldn’t know about the moon mission because Vanya’s book came out before it. Also, Vanya wouldn’t know that Five could time travel. +1
Diego you haven’t slept at all, as soon as you drop you’re gonna sleep like a baby. +1
The motel clerk doesn’t notice Cha Cha’s pistol, which was directly in his line of sight. +1
Diego doesn’t notice Klaus’s footsteps. +1
“Yeah but you also told me that licking a nine-volt battery would give me pubes” “We were eight”. Sibling culture. -1
Klaus saves Diego from gunfire the best he can. Even though Diego still gets shot, sin off for Klaus’s heroics. -1
“Was this all part of your master plan” “Shut up”. Sibling culture. -1
Audition panels are always dicks. +1
If you start an audition the way Vanya just did with the shaky bow contact, you’re fucked. +1
Imogen is a great violinist. Ellen Page is not. It’s really easy to see when they switch out. +1
Allison goes to Leonard’s place with no backup. Come on, even Diego has backup! +1
Allison doesn’t tell Five and Diego about how she got into Leonard’s house when they were breaking in again later. The window would have been much better than breaking the door. +1
Vanya’s powers are distorting her music. It sounds like her intonation is gone. Yet the conductor looks impressed. +1
Allison almost finds Helen Cho’s body. +1
The camera cuts to the attic entrance to show that it will be significant later on. -1
The Hargreeves car has HERMES on its licence plate. A.) nice comics reference. B.) Hermes is the God of Travelers. C.) Of course Reggie has a vanity licence plate. -3
Five and Luther connecting over their forced isolation. -1
Also, Aidan Gallagher and Tom Hopper play off each other really well. -1
“I’ve lived a long life, but you’re still a young man. You got your whole life ahead of you. Don’t waste it.” Luther’s face amuses me. -1
Five threatening while Hazel and Cha Cha doesn’t look ridiculous. I genuinely belive it. Props to Aidan Gallagher. -1
Five and Luther look so confused by Klaus and Diego arriving in an ice cream truck. This is such an underrated scene. -3
Ride of the Valkyries -1
Klaus’s little wave. -1
“Whee” I love Ben. -2
I want to know how they shot this. The behind the scenes after the Handler showed up and stopped time must have been strange to look at. -1
Luther protects Five with his whole body without question. -1
Five puts his hands in his pockets but then they’re behind his back in the next shot with no motion to explain it. +1
The Handler is a creep. She’s into Five. +5
Where and When did Five get that pistol? +1
So many memes come from this scene. -2
Five doesn’t have his finger anywhere near the trigger in some shots, but in others it’s two seconds from shooting the Handler. What’s up with that? +1
The Handler is so, so creepy. The hand caressing Five’s cheek? Eww. That all but confirms that she wants to be his Mrs. Robinson. +5
Kate Walsh plays an excellent villain. -1
Five made a deal with the devil because it was his only option. -1
[Gerard Way and Ray Toro’s “Happy Together” playing.] -1
Cha Cha was planning to abandon Hazel. Otherwise why else would she open the briefcase? +1
Ben gets shotgun. -1
Klaus finally gets to flip off Hazel and Cha Cha. -3
“SHIIT” Cha Cha, you got played. I love my smart boys. -5
Vanya did well at her audition! I’m proud of her! -1
Leonard knows the exact words Reggie would have used to describe Vanya’s powers. And he uses them here. +1
“I got first chair!” Congratulations, Vanya! -2
“No one’s ever believed in me like this.” Fuck you, Reggie. +1
Having sex with Leonard/Harold desereves a couple sins. +2
Helen Cho and Reggie’s book reveal. Leonard is a creep confirmed. +2
Dr. Pogo? More like Dr. Complicit in Reggie’s Bullshit. +1
Overall Review:
In case you couldn’t tell, this is one of my favorite episodes. Finally, all of our characters are invested in the apocalypse plot, even indirectly. Vanya’s powers emerge, the Handler and the Commission enter the chat, and Leonard is revealed to be a murderer and to have Reggie’s diary. Things are really heating up in this episode.
I had a really hard time finding anything wrong that wasn’t character flaw is character flaw and villain character is a villain. This is a fun episode. If I wanted to show someone an episode of The Umbrella Academy to get them hooked onto the show, I would show them this episode. It moves at a perfect pace and has enough mystery to keep everyone on their toes. When I first watched this episode, I decided to stay up all night and binge the rest of them. Before I was watching one every couple of days. Episode five is what really hooked me. Props to everyone that worked on it!
I want to give a special shout out to Sean Sullivan. He did really well playing Five! I hope we see him in season 2 for that one scene. If you’ve read the comics then you know the one.
Sins: 4
Sentence: Watching Klaus’s breakdown after Vietnam was more than punishment enough.

Umbrella Academy
season 2, episode 8
Once again- live blogging my thoughts and reactions in one post to avoid spamming.
So this is how the FBI gets their hands on Vanya, huh? Seems most fan theories were wrong.
Oh, Sissy's last name is Cooper!
I did wonder about that -how did remember her name despite forgetting everything else? If she knew her name then she should have been able to remember other little fragments.
Of course the feds focus on the fact that her name is Russian. Cold war bullshit. I guess they think she's a spy or since Russian sleeper soldier or something.
"I'm not Russian" -you kinda are though 😅 Tatiana was Russian and gave birth to you in Moscow sooo...
DID VANYA JUST SPEAK RUSSIAN?!
Is that one of the 7 languages that Reggie all the siblings or....? Does it... Does it have something to do with her powers or her birth place?
"simple-minded boy"? FUCK YOU.😠
"communist threat" there it is 🙄
Oh no, she's losing her cool. Here come the powers... I keep wondering how she does that 'sucking the life' out of someone thing. 🤔
That's a lot of puke.
Poor Five, he's starting to crack under the stress.
Why is Ben gagging? He's dead, he shouldn't be able to feel or smell the puke.
Loving Robert's real curls starting to show.
"I regret nothing" -hmm.... Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of.
"there's a giant dead white boy on my couch" 😆
"Oh, I see. It's gonna be one of those kind of nights, huh? So are we burning or burying?" -this is why I love Klaus! He doesn't even flinch, he doesn't care what happened, he doesn't ask, he just immediately decides that he's going to help his sister get rid of a dead body like it's the most natural thing in the world.
Although, it would be interesting if Klaus actual saw the Swede ghosts too. I just want Klaus to be seeing ghosts everywhere again, ok? I want that struggle from season 1 to be brought back and not swept under the rug for plot convenience. As a writer, if you make something an important character trait, you stick with it and they haven't done that with Klaus, they are half-assing his struggle with his powers.
It's the Swede really going to...? Oh good, saved by the cat.
Oh! So that's what "lavender" means! I was right, it was the perfume, it was probably obvious but I'm a little dumb.
Ah! Lila is trying to hire Diego for the Commission???
Diego is so confused.
"colorful history" sounds so wrong and sexual 😣
Diego is so full of bullshit. His loyalties absolutely lie with his family, he's just too defensive to admit it.
Reginald FRAMED Pogo's family drawing? So he's a better dad to the chimp than his own kids, huh?
THE TELEVATOR!!!!!!! PLANS FOR THE TELEVATOR!!!! I love comic references, please tell me we'll see a real televator in the show!
So Reggie really is planning something about JFK...
"are you involved in something nefarious?" "Quite often. Did you have something more specific in mind?" -at least he owns it 😆
"shaggy man" -ah! Poor Diego!
Reggie really loves this Grace, huh? But she has a point.
Five is losing it a bit, huh?
The baby powder 🤣
"I have to find myself" -RIGHT! I was wondering when this would come up! Old!Five was there for the JFK thing so Five just has to find his old self and his briefcase in order to correct all this mess. More comic references!
"arguably the most dangerous assassin in the time-space continuum" -DAMN RIGHT 💯
"paradox psychosis" 🤣I know it's supposed to be super serious but the symptoms are so funny...
Tumblr media
"a spotter? What is that? Like a wingman?" 😆 This parallels that "Body man? What's that? Like a masseuse?" line in s02e02 where Five is the confused one.
Five, do you really think your brother can stop you if you spiral? Because I don't.
Luther doesn't have a great attention span, does he?
Harlan's drawing is interesting... I get a feeling it's important.
Shit, they are torturing Vanya!! This is so bad!
LSD? LSD?????? No, that's a terrible idea with her powers!!!
Eeeewwwww the eyeballs! 👁️
That's a hell of a bad trip... The way the music makes with the visuals reminds me of my synesthesia though.
Oh! So this is where the scene of all the adult siblings in the Academy uniforms is from!!! (I remember someone saying it was Diego dreaming of having a drugged hallucination in the asylum, they were pretty close! It's Vanya drugged by the FBI instead!)
"I get you" -that is not the face of a person that gets this at all, Luther!
"Don't freak out." -like that ever worked 😆
Lila trying to have her cake and eat it too with her mom and Diego.
That informational video 🤣🤣🤣
Free coffee! Weekly donuts* (*fees apply)! Wow, so tempting 😒
"whatever your skill, education, or comfort level with moral ambiguity (...)" 😆
Are the Fives just having a staring contest? 🤣🤣
Ah! How can Five be bitchy and aggressive to HIMSELF 😆
"all those years on the apocalypse, we never stopped working about our family." -why does Luther look so damn surprised to hear this?? Why the hell does he think Five is doing so this for?!
Wow, Five is really bitter about his body, isn't he? He's making old!Five so nervous 😅
Oops, there's stage 4 for old!Five!
And there's stage 3 as well and stages 5 and 6 for little!Five.
I get a feeling Five doesn't really have the accurate calculations, he's just lying and using the originals.
"I don't trust him!" -he's... He's you...14 days ago! How do you not trust yourself?
"but he's you" "exactly" 🤣🤣🤣
I'm so afraid how what Diego is going to do. I get a feeling hell fuck up trying to be a misguided hero again...
"I'm Diego. I have a knife." 😆
"it's very shiny" 🤣
So Diego is a legend, huh? 😏
"there's been a coup d'etat" "what's that? Cadillac?" -don't play dumb, Diego, I don't believe for a single second that you don't know what a coup is.
So the new apocalypse WAS Vanya's fault but by proxy (actually more the FBI's fault), she was just a small domino. So literally the only one that didn't actively do anything to impact the timeline ends up being the one doing the most damage (again)? PLOT TWIST!
Oh no, DON'T GET ANY IDEAS ABOUT YOUR SISTER, DIEGO! YOU SAW HOW BADLY THAT ENDED LAST TIME!
No, I refuse to believe "she will always be the bomb" 😠😠😠😠
LOL, hi, Dot!
NO! LUTHER, YOU MORON! DON'T GIVE HIM ALL THAT INFO! YOU'LL CHANGE EVERYTHING AND CEASE TO EXIST!!!
These dumb siblings exhaust me
Tumblr media
"little jerk-off" -why are you insulting yourself, you weirdo? 😆
Old!Five with all the PP symptoms and yet he says he never felt better in his life 🤣
"you're getting paranoid" -you both are, and sweaty, itchy and gassy. All that's missing is the homicidal rage at this point 😅
Vanya's hallucination shows us a twisted paranoid view she has of her siblings and it's very interesting:
-Ben is protective, defends her, he can do no harm, probably because he died young so nostalgia blurs her memory of him
-Allison defends her but is also arrogant and condescending, speaking as if she's implying that Vanya is weak, probably because Vanya feels that Allison is perfect and has an inferiority complex
-Luther is just as arrogant and looks down her, calling her lazy, but does so without malice (more mockery than anger)
-Klaus is accusing and suspicious but still on the fence and excitable, probably reflecting Vanya's own doubts and how she herself sees Klaus
-Five just stares, judging and silent but unable to look away, probably because she trusts him but she also doesn't know him, there's the same nostalgia effect as Ben but because Five came back (to stop her) the inferiority and fear of judgement is still there
-Diego is completely different, awkward and detached, this one is the most interesting because he's one of the people that was most vocal and mean against her in season 1 but apparently she sees a kindred spirit in him to an extent, either that or she fears she means nothing to him
Maybe I'm overanalyzing again...
I totally predicted the dishes would be brains but it's still gross.
Ew, the chewing... 😫 It's giving me the creeps.
Why is she seeing Harlan's drawing? She was gone already when he made that particular drawing (I knew it would be important), is she connected to him now??
And how does she remember her own birth??
Holy shit, Harlan is feeling Vanya's pain!!!😲😲😲
"why are people so much heavier when they're dead?" "You got a lot of practice at this?" 😅
Ben and Klaus conversation actually makes me feel a bit better about the possession but it makes no sense at all 🤣
Poor Ray keeps meeting in-laws in the weirdest situations 🤣🤣🤣🤣 his face! 🤝
Ray is having a nervous breakdown 😣 poor guy...
The moment Lila notices Diego is missing, the intercom chimes "Loyalty isn't a choice, it's a lifestyle" and if that isn't foreshadowing for Lila choosing sides then I don't know what is.
This is a really painful way for Vanya to recover her memories but it's so well done!
Holy shit... 😳
Klaus asking the real question here. She's being tortured, Klaus, go help!!!
HOLY SHIT! HARLAN HAS VANYA'S POWERS NOW?!
No, no, no,no, no, no nononononono! This is so bad! A child with a disorder that makes emotions hard to regulate suddenly having an apocalyptic level of power that connects directly to emotion is just a recipe for disaster!

Chapter 18 of Looking for a Place to Call Home
Un-edited. No time right now, sorry.
                                                                                                                        ~ * ~
Derek sits in a chair by the window. He stares down at a mostly empty parking lot. On the other side of the room, Laura argues with acting Sheriff Parrish about what to do with Peter. Parrish thinks Peter should be locked up. He’s killed two people and would have killed more if Laura hadn’t been at the hospital.
Laura knows Peter’s spree isn’t done. After all, there’s all the hunters in New York to go after. Derek is only here because Laura wants to throw his well-being in Parrish’s face. All Derek cares about right now is that Kate can’t come back and hurt him more.
He turns away from the window and announces, “I want to see her.”
Parrish and Laura pause in their argument.
“What?” Parrish asks.
“No,” Laura tells Derek, “you don’t need to see that.”
“I do,” he insists. “I keep seeing her—Kate—everywhere. I need to know that she’s not going to come after me again.” Quieter, he adds so only Laura can hear him, “I need to know that Peter really did kill her.”
Laura looks like she’s going to say no again, and Derek will have to obey her order, but Parrish stops her.
“We do still need someone to formally identify the body.” He studies Derek critically. “Kate’s niece, Allison doesn’t feel she can adequately identify her because it’s been over fourteen years since she saw her with any regularity.”
“And I’ve seen her almost every day for three years.”
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Laura asks. “You don’t have to. I could I.D. her.”
“She’s my nightmare,” Derek says. “I need to be the one.” He stands up. “If we can get this over now, please?”
Parrish leads them down into the basement of the hospital and to a large room with double doors and a plate glass window. He taps on a glass window to get the attention of a small woman inside.
She scurries out and starts babbling too fast for Derek to understand—although it might just be because down here and the woman smell strongly of death and it’s making him second-guess his determination to see Kate’s body.
Parrish seems to understand the woman, nodding often and interjecting a few exclamations. When she runs out of breath, Parrish asks her if Kate’s body is ready for viewing.
“It’s been less than five hours since she was discovered,” the woman snaps. “No, she’s not ready.”
“Could she be identified now?”
The woman looks at Derek, her eyes narrowing. “You’re making a child do the I.D.?” She punches Parrish’s shoulder.
“Easy, Doc, Parrish warns her. “Derek Hale spent the most time in Kate’s presence of late, and as such is the best choice to I.D. her.”
Doc still grumbles but she goes back into the room and stalks over to a wall of doors, pulling open on to reveal a sheet-covered body.
“We’re going to stay out here, okay?” Parrish’s hand hovers over Derek’s back, the heat of it only making him more nervous and unsure. Maybe he doesn’t need to see Kate after all. Peter hadn’t lied when he said that he’d “given Kate what she deserved.” Obviously, he meant that he’d killed her.
How he had done it was less clear and not something that Derek was particularly keen to know.
Parrish taps on the window and Doc lifts the sheet.
Kate’s eyes are closed, face slack. She could be asleep, but Derek never saw her so still. Her throat has been ripped out, bone and sinew exposed. She would have died quickly from an injury like that. It is little comfort to him.
Parrish clears his throat, and Derek jumps. “Is that Kate Argent?”
Derek nods, his head spinning. Kate is dead. She’s never going to be able to come after him again.
Freedom feels a lot like shock, Derek thinks, swaying toward Laura. He clings to her, drawing comfort from his alpha.
“Okay, back upstairs.” Parrish pushes them to the elevator. “Get him checked out.”
Laura ignores Parrish’s order and walks Derek outside.
Erica and Boyd are sitting on a bench with their backs to the entrance, a few yards away. Between them, Cora sits, kicking her bare feet up and in arcs. She turns and lets out a happy squeal. She leaps over the back and bounds to them. It’s difficult to walk with Cora hanging onto both of them, but they manage, neither wanting to dislodge their sister.
“How are you holding up?” Erica asks when they all squeeze onto the bench.
“Could be better,” Laura answers. “The new sheriff had Derek I.D. Kate’s body. If she wasn’t already dead, I’d like to kill her myself.”
“I feel the same way about Isaac’s dad,” Boyd says. “I’ve been trying to get that bastard put away for over eighteen years now.”
“On the one hand, I’m glad Peter got his revenge. On the other, I’m mad that the humans don’t understand and Peter is probably going to be incarcerated for it.”
“Peter was going to kill Lydia,” Derek reminds Laura. “She’s innocent. If it’d been Allison instead, I don’t think we could have stopped him. Maybe it wouldn’t hurt Peter to have some time where he couldn’t attack anyone.”
“He’s accepted me as his alpha. He won’t randomly attack anyone again.”
“This isn’t helping us,” Erica breaks in. “All this circular thinking. Right now we need to focus on healing you from your trauma.” She pats Derek’s cheek and then repeats the gesture with Cora and then Laura. “Let’s go back to the house. I’m sure you’re all more than ready to eat again.”
“Do we have to give our statements about still since she’s dead?” Cora asks.
“Probably,” Laura says. “That other snake is still alive.” She turns to Boyd and Erica. “Deaton is still alive, right?”
“The old vet?” Boyd shrugs. “Last I knew. Did Peter have a reason to go after him?”
“He called Kate back to town when he realized Derek was here,” Laura says. “If Peter knew that, then Deaton is probably dead.”
Erica stands up and dusts off her hands. “We’ll tell the Sheriff’s Department to look into it. For now, let’s just go home.”
                                                                                                                        ~ * ~
Stiles thumps his stack of reports onto acting-Sheriff Parrish’s desk.
Once Peter had admitted to attacking Sheriff Lahey, it was much easier to start the investigation as if a pack of dogs had set upon the poor, unfortunate soul. Of course, the only strange “dogs” that had been seen in Beacon Hills lately were the two wolf-dogs Kate Argent had brought with her.
Kate was being blamed for Lahey senior’s death and Deaton, who had gone missing shortly after he’d made bail, was being blamed for Kate’s death.
Stiles suspects that Peter knows exactly where the old vet vanished off to, but Stiles doesn’t want to ask. Peter Hale has gone through enough these past three years.
He’s still healing. All the Hales are.
“We got a positive I.D. on the Jane Doe at the hospital morgue.” Parrish grins at Stiles.
“I thought that body was Kate Argent’s?” Stiles says. “Why’d we need an I.D.?”
“Our next of kin didn’t think she could make a positive I.D. of the body.”
“So who did?” Stiles asks, mind already sorting through the possible candidates. Parrish doesn’t answer. Stiles stares at him in growing horror. “You had Derek Hale I.D. her?” he hisses.
Parrish looks embarrassed and then annoyed. “We needed the I.D. and he offered. He’s spent the last three years with her.”
“Yeah, being horribly abused and mistreated by her. Way to go, Jordan.”
Parrish rolls his eyes. “What would you have done in my place?”
“I don’t know, run a DNA test, compared the results with Allison’s DNA. Yes, it would have taken a lot longer, but at least you wouldn’t have re-traumatized a kid.”
“You mean like you did when you shot him with a taser?” Parrish retorts angrily. “Stiles, you weren’t there. He needed the closure of seeing her dead. So what if he made the I.D. we needed? He got something out of it too.”
“And where is he now?” Stiles demands. “Can you definitely say that he was better off for having seen Kate Argent dead?”
“He’s with Erica Reyes and Vernon Boyd now. His sister stayed with him the whole time. He’s fine.”
Stiles shakes his head. He knows what it’s like to put up a front and hide what he’s going through because the sad fact is that people don’t actually care about other people’s problems. “I know you don’t believe that, not after your time in the service.”
Parrish has the good sense to look ashamed. “You didn’t see him, Stiles. You didn’t see the way he was asking for that closure.”
Stiles contemplates that answer. “I suppose so,” he concedes. “What’s going to happen to Peter Hale now?”
If, and it’s a very big if, Peter doesn’t go to jail for Kate’s murder, he’ll have the choice of adopting his nieces and nephew.
“Evidence.” Parrish shrugs. “We listen to what it says. Hey, Stiles, do you think your dad would be amendable to being the sheriff again?”
“I don’t know. Isn’t that something you should be asking him?”
“I would but I don’t have his contact information.”
Stiles sighs and pulls out his cellphone. He starts scrolling through his contacts, not really looking for his dad’s number. He still has to apologize for a couple of nights ago, and he doesn’t know what to say. Parrish glares at him when he takes too long to find Dad’s number.
Suddenly, Stiles’ phone rings, an unknown number. He holds up a finger and answers it. “Stilinski.”
“Stiles, this is Isaac. Lahey.”
“Hi, Isaac. How are you doing right now?”
“Well, could be better. I mean, my dad was just murdered because he was helping cover up another murder, but at least he’s not around to keep hitting me.”
Stiles wants to ask how Isaac knows about Peter’s confession, but he remembers that Erica was in the room with them. Of course she would have told Boyd and Boyd would have told Isaac.
“True,” he agrees. “What can I help you with?”
“My dad’s house…what’s going to happen to it?”
“First, it’s going to be processed for evidence regarding your father’s passing. After, if he willed it to you, it’ll be yours unless he had a mortgage that needs to be paid off.”
“No mortgage,” Isaac says. “The house was my mom’s before she died. My dad got the house because they were still married.”
“Did your mom have a will?” Stiles knows his mom did. It’s how he ended up with Roscoe in high school: she’d willed her Jeep to him. Dad got the house.
If Isaac’s mom left him the house, then there had to be a record of it somewhere.
“I don’t know. She died a long time ago.”
“Okay, well, I can look at City Hall. If I can locate a will for your mom, then I can answer your question. For now though, the house is essentially in limbo.”
“Thank you, Stiles. I know you were just doing your job when you came to talk to me about my dad.”
Stiles doesn’t know what to say, and Isaac hangs up before he can think to ask why he wants to know about the house. In Stiles’ experience, unless there isn’t another option, abuse survivors don’t really like spending time in the spaces where they were abused.
“Your dad’s number,” Parrish prompts, and Stiles doesn’t jump. He does flip Parrish off though.
“I’ll ask him if he wants to run for election, but I’m not going to let this town chew him up again.”
“I wasn’t here three years ago,” Parrish says, hands held up defensively. “I wasn’t part of that campaign. Don’t take it out on me.”
“You’re right. I’m sorry.” Stiles sighs, scrubbing at his face. “I just can’t understand.”
“Understand what?”
“How did Lahey get away with abusing his son for so long? Vernon Boyd told me that he’s been trying to get Isaac away from his dad for almost eighteen years. How did no one notice or care?”
“What about you? Why didn’t you notice?”
Stiles shrugs. “I wasn’t in the same circle as Isaac in high school. I had my head up my ass. I was too busy chasing Lydia Martin to see anything in front of my nose. Isaac suffered because of it. I will do what I can to help him.”
“Commendable,” Parrish remarks. “Are you sure it’s not too little too late?”
“It probably is, but I’m still going to help as much as I can. It’s the right thing to do.”
Parrish sighs. “There’s going to be a scandal when the abuse comes to light. Isaac’s in for a rough ride.”
“He’s got good friends,” Stiles says, thinking again of Erica and Boyd. “He’ll make it through.”
“It’s the Sheriff’s Department we have to worry about.”
Stiles nods. “I wonder what’s going to happen, who’s going to survive the investigation.”
“Not Haigh. He’s out of here as soon as I have the authority to fire him. You’re pressing charges.”
“He didn’t even touch me,” Stiles protests. “I don’t know if I can.”
“Oh, trust me; you can.”
“Fantastic,” Stiles quips dryly. He’s a little worried that Parrish might go power-hungry if he’s allowed to remain as the interim Sheriff. He did suffer the most at Haigh’s hands. Stiles can’t say he’ll be sorry when that sonofabitch is routed, but he knows Haigh is only one of Sheriff Lahey’s lackeys. There are more supporters in the Department and in the community. The man was elected to his position after all.
Parrish sighs, shoulders sinking like a boulder suddenly took up residence on their breadth. “Will you please ask your father if he’d at least consider coming back? Elections aren’t that far out. He’s still got a lot of friends in this town.”
“I’ll ask him,” Stiles says. “I can’t promise anything else.”
“Thank you.”

Thunder #38
December 26th, 2015
“So … he’s your … boyfriend or what?”
Caitlin’s arms were crossed as she looked at me.
“Don’t, Cait … I don’t know. I’m just as confused, honestly.” I sighed and let my shoulders drop. The global sign for “I really have no clue anymore”.
“Caitlin, honey, I appreciate the fact that you and Cassie’s other friends are here, I really do, but maybe you can tone down that … tone.” My Mom chimed in as she came through her living room carrying a tray of cookies before putting it down on the table. “She’s been through enough, don’t you think?” She asked rhetorically before exiting the room again. Having turned into some kind of Christmas saint, she had - without my knowing - invited Megan, Caitlin, and Chris for coffee. Now, here they were, and the truth was out. I understood their concern, but I was too tired to really appreciate it.
“And the baby was his?” Megan suddenly asked, and I nodded in return.
“Yup. Haven’t been with anyone else. I thought I couldn’t get pregnant so soon, and -”
“You could.” Megan replied and ate one of my Mom’s cookies.
“And now he’s moved, and you’re doing some kind of long-distance thing?” Caitlin asked. She had dialed down the anger, but not by much.
“We’re … we’re doing the FaceTime thing and all that. But it’s been hectic, he’s only just moved in with Nathan, and they’re trying to get the new pub ready and-”
“Hmm.” She stated in return. Her boyfriend, Chris, sat beside her, stoically calm. He knew there was no stopping her and simply let her run loose.
“Hmm, what? Enough with the subliminal crap, Caitlin. I’m a mom, god damn it. I slept, perhaps, 10 minutes last night, and I have zero ability to read your fucking mind.”
“Oh, nothing. Besides the fact that you know. It’ll be awfully easy for him.”
“What will be?”
“You know. Having you come to London once a month. And being free the rest of the time … free to do whatever he wants.”
“What the hell? It’s not like that.”
“Don’t tell me you haven’t thought the same.”
“Even if I had, what’s it to you? It’s not your life.”
She uncrossed her arms and leaned forward, her eyes pleading with me.
“Every time something bad happens, every time you come running for help. Every time. Back at the office, you were grumpy for days whenever he didn’t text you back. Back then when that thing happened between you - I still have no idea what that was all about, but you called me and you sounded like you were manically anxious. Back when he cheated, there you were again. Wanting to … to get help to call a midwife. I’ll just be honest with you, Cas, because we love you. Every time he’s fucked it up, it has been us that had to pick up the pieces of you again.”
“She’s right.” Megan chimed in. “Us and your Mom.”
I looked at them and suddenly felt tired. I knew they were right. What kind of mess is this. Should I get out of it now? I rubbed my eyes and tried to convince myself that they weren’t right.
“Uuuugh.” I exclaimed as something suddenly dawned on me. “There’s just that thing … he’s asked me to come with him.”
“What?” Three voices sounded in unison from around the table. Each one looked more flabbergasted than the next.
“To come and stay. I know, right?”
“You … and Teddy … and everything?” Megan asked.
“No, naturally not Teddy, why on earth would we want to live with our child, Megs. Ew.” Megan and the rest began to howl with laughter. I could even hear my mother laughing from somewhere in the house.
“But … you’re not going, right?” Caitlin asked. Her anger seemed to have vanished completely now. She just looked surprised. “I mean, you have a nice apartment … and your mom. And us.”
“That’s exactly what I told him.” It felt like a hole in my heart was screaming at me. Go to London.  “That I couldn’t.”
“Hm.” Caitlin replied. A strange calm came over the table as we ate our cookies in peace.
( … )
“Hold up, hello-” The screen on my phone was utterly dark, and the noise coming from its speakers was some kind of electronic rustling. I recognized Nathan’s voice and as always, it made me feel better.
“Hello, Cassie?” The phone said, but there still wasn’t any picture on the screen.
“Yeah, that’s me. Hi, Nathan.”
“Hi, love. I can’t seem to get this bloody thing to work, hold up.”
He was rustling some more, and I thought I saw a few light spots on the screen, before it turned jet black once again.
“Oy!” There he is. My heart was doing jumping jacks at the mere voice of him. “Give me that ... Christ, you old people and technology. God.” I heard him teasing Nathan and giggled at the banter between them. Suddenly, the phone lit up and there he was. Michael.
“You shouldn’t tease him, you know.” I spoke at the smiling, handsome face on my phone. “You’re not awfully young yourself.”
He cocked an eyebrow at me as his eyes shifted completely. He looked like he was going to make me regret what I’d just said in the sexiest way possible. I felt my cheeks redden and had to cross my legs at the thought of it.
“You best be happy you’re all the way over there, darl’.” He said in a low voice, and I could almost feel myself tremble at the sound of it.
“You’d never catch me, old man.” I smacked my lips at him and tried to ignore the want that he caused.
“Oy, you two. There are other people present, you know.” I heard Nathan’s voice from somewhere else in the room and felt like the poster girl for complete embarrassment. I could see from Michael’s face that it was just friendly teasing, and that helped.
“I had forgotten you weren’t alone. Sorry.” I said.
“Don’t mind it.” Michael replied.
“It’s kinda cramped, isn’t it? With Nathan and the wife and you … they have a kid too, don’t they?” He shook his head in return.
“He has a flat on his own. He’s only coming for dinner once in a while. I’ve gotten his old room, actually. And haven’t I told you this? Nathan and his wife got separated a while ago.”
“They … what?” I was shook. I couldn’t believe the words I was hearing. “What on earth went wrong? They’ve been together forever.”
“It’s a long and dull story, Cas.” I heard Nathan reply from somewhere else and knew that I shouldn’t pry anymore.
“He’ll tell you some other time.” Michael smiled at me. “But there’s plenty of room as it is now. When are you moving in?”
I stuck my tongue out at the screen and tried to look serious. It failed.
“You’re an ass.”
“Yup. But you love this ass.” He replied. The smile on his face made the small creases around his eyes more visible. I wanted nothing more than to run my fingers along the fine lines.
“How’s our boy?” He turned a bit more serious at the thought of Teddy.
“Missing his Dad, I think. He’s slept terribly for the past few nights.”
“I’m sorry about that. You’re getting help from Liz?”
“Yeah. But I can’t just drop him off at her place every night. He’ll end up calling her Mum.”
“I get that. If you come over here, I’ll take the night shifts, hmm?”
“Don’t tempt me.”
“Can’t promise anything, darl’.”
I bit my lip and smiled like an idiot at him.
“Say hi to Nathan, okay?”
“Hi back!” I heard Nathan shout from somewhere across.
Michael blew me a kiss and hung up. I didn’t get to sit there giggling for myself long, though. Teddy had woken up again.
( … )
“Megs? Oy?”
“Cassie? Hey!”
We almost ran into each other in the street where I’d spent so much time. The street with the pub - our pub. I thought to myself that if I had to move, if I had to go back to England, this street would be the thing I would miss most about Kenmare.
“Going out?” She looked me up and down, and I could see why. For the first time in forever, I was wearing high heels and makeup. “The pub?”
“Ye. I felt like shit. Missing Michael, and … yeah. Yasmin told me she needed to chat about something. So I thought, why the hell not.”
“I get that. You look great, though.”
“Thanks, Megs. Where are you off to?”
She looked like she was blushing, but then again, it was a cold day.
“I’m … uh … I’m just out for a walk.”
“Okay? Have a nice one, I guess?” I was confused with her strange behavior but didn’t pry any further.
“Thanks. See you, Cas. Give a kiss to your boy.”
“I will.”
We hugged, and she was on her way.
“Cassandra!” Yasmin waved enthusiastically for a second before she vanished out back, an apologetic smile on her face. I knew what it meant, as the boss of the place she had enough to see to. I remembered from the time I’d worked here.
Patiently, I sat down at the bar and made eye contact with one of the new bartenders.
“Hi. I’m Allison. How may I help you?” She yelled through the music.
“Just a coke, please.”
She found one in the fridge below and handed it to me with a smile.
“One of the boss’ friends, yeah? It’s on the house.”
“Thanks, Allison. She busy right now?”
She laughed a bubbly laugh and reminded me of careless evenings from before. “As always. But she should be here in a minute or so. Make yourself at home.”
“I will.”
The pub looked like itself, but then again, it didn’t. The walls had been painted a different color, the furniture had been switched to a more modern style, and throughout the walls, there were pictures of powerful women instead of football teams. Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, Aretha Franklin, Amy Winehouse and, naturally, all of the Spice Girls.
The roaring football fans had their own corner as usual, but somehow, they weren’t as noisy as they used to be. The football wasn’t as important as it had been before. It could be the fact that the clientele had changed as well as the chairs and tables. Everywhere, the women had seemingly taken over. Dancing, singing, enjoying themselves, once in a while taking a man out to dance and having fun. From my spot, I could see Cerys sitting on James’ lap, chatting and caressing him and trying to stay professional. I smiled at the sight. Before I knew it, Yasmin appeared out of the blue and hugged me tightly.
“Cassie! So great to see you.” She exclaimed and gestured around the pub.
“You like what I did?”
“It’s … magnificent. I love it. Well done.”
“I’ve had help, of course. But yeah … I’m proud of it.”
“I can see why.” I smiled at her. “You wanted to see me about something?”
“Ah. Yes. When are you going to move to England?” She looked at me with a completely serious look on her face, and I was utterly confused until she dropped the act and burst into a big, flashing smile.
“My GOD, you’re just like him, you know.” I exclaimed and slapped her shoulder playfully.
“I know. He’s great so I’ll take it as a compliment.” She teased back and we both laughed. “But seriously. When are you going to see him?”
“Uh … I haven’t really planned anything. I really haven’t got the finances right now, so that doesn’t help, either. And Teddy is so small, and I …” I could hear myself ranting.
“Ah. Excuses, excuses. He misses you, do you miss him?”
“What? Of course I do, Yasmin.”
“Then go to him.” She handed me an envelope and leaned back in her seat.
“What is thiiiiis. You didn’t … oh, fuck you, you did.” I had opened the envelope and there was no way of mistaking the plane ticket inside of it. Yasmin simply smiled at me.
“Only one condition, Cassandra. You have to take some things along to him. It’s not much.”
“Of course. But, Yasmin … this is too much. I can’t possibly accept this.”
“Shut your mouth. Of course you can. I love you both.” She grabbed my hands and looked me in the eyes. I was tearing up, the sweetness of her gift was just too much. “And frankly. You both look completely miserable when you miss each other.”
That last sentence had me exploding with laughter. Yasmin laughed as well before pulling me in for a big hug.
I felt like I could jump with excitement.
I’m going. I’m going to him. I’m going to see him.

Saturday 29th, 2016
For some reason, everyone was smiling at me as I stood, freezing on the pavement on a street in London. I pondered whether they thought I was lost or if I simply radiated so much excitement that it made people smile. It had been a month since I last saw him, and the way I missed him could be felt into my very bones. Of course, he didn’t know I was here. Nathan had picked me up at the airport - all part of Yasmin’s devious planning - and driven me to their apartment and then, to here. My phone was pressed against my ear so I could hear their conversation inside. I feared that my heart would beat so loud that it could be heard through the phone.
“The boss man!” I could hear Michael say through the phone as Nathan locked himself inside of the pub. “Coming by to see if I fucked it up already?”
Nathan laughed in return. “Yes, exactly. How’s things?”
I couldn’t hear anything through the phone, but it was clear that Michael sighed.
“Still missing half the furniture. Delivery problems, something like that. And I need to paint upstairs as well.” He sounded exhausted. I wanted to run inside and comfort him, but waited patiently instead.
“Hmm.” I could hear Nathan pacing about the room. “ Well, I have two surprises for you. One: I’ve arranged for some of my people to come and help you tomorrow. They’ll help you paint and whatever.”
“That’s … that’s great, Nathe. Thanks a lot.” I felt a tender moment between them. Nathan had grown more and more into some kind of father figure. Not only to me, but to Michael as well.
“Only the best for this place. This will be our flag ship number two.” He laughed. “Of course you need a bit of help.”
“That’s amazing. Thanks again, mate.”
“No problem. And your second surprise -”
“Yeah?” Michael replied.
“It’s a box of things that Yasmin thought you needed. Things from the old pub, back in Kenmare.”
“What? I took everything with me when I stopped.” I could hear the confusion in his voice.
“Not all, mate.” Nathan replied. “It’s outside the door, I brought a courier along. Go and get it, boy.”
“What?” He said. I could feel my heart beating harder than ever before as his steps moved quickly across the floor.
The door flew open, and he was there. The change I saw in his eyes - from confused to surprised to beyond happy - was making my heart burst.
“Courier service. Where should I put this box?” I asked and tried to keep cool all the while the smile on my face was doing the exact opposite.
He didn’t speak. Instead, he closed the distance between us, lifted me up and spun me around, until he kissed me.
It felt like the world disappeared around us.

Tell us
Word Count: 1331 Warnings~Mentions of cancer, losing someone, okayish writing~
A/n-I wrote this thing for a class project and it was just sitting there so I thought might as well post it. It not from a fandom it’s just a thing
“Tell us about yourself Al. That’s short for something right? Why don’t you like you real name? As your reason listed here it’s says your girlfriend Tia, would you like to talk about that?”
“I hate my first name, I hate the way it sounds when people say it. So at the age of seven I named myself Al. The teachers called me it and so did my family, no one cared what I was called. So with my new name I took on a new personality. I became the loud out going bad, tempered child. As years went on I had met many girls but they all seemed the same, they looked different but no one stood out. She on the other hand was something new and different. I couldn’t help falling in love with her.” I pulled the coat closer to my body and played with the ring on my finger.
“How would you describe her. What made her so different?” The wrinkly old man asked. I had long forgotten his name, I’d never expected the meetings to turn on me.
“Other girls would smell like cotton candy and sweets, the kinds of scents that stuck to your sheets that lingered there for weeks but she didn’t smell like that. Her scent didn’t linger of my pillows, it never smelt like flowers or cotton candy. It was a warm fire with a hint of winter all rolled in a fresh natural smell. Her eyes never showed her true emotions, they reminded me of the fresh grass of spring, bright and promising. Her eyes stayed that way until the end, filled with promise of tomorrow. The kind of promise I did not deserve, the kind that told you tomorrow was going to be better. That’s one of the things I loved she was so different, she didn’t push me to be social. She was a calming force in my whirlwind of thoughts, she kept me focus. I didn’t have to worry when she was around, it was like nice to have someone like that.” I felt awkward standing in front of everyone. The old man glanced at his folder, I glanced around but my eyes never got past anyone's feet. I had memorized those feet, I hadn’t been able to look people in the eye. I only saw her face, it followed  me everywhere down the halls of school, in the doctor's office. It was like it was permanently glued to the back of my eye lids. I wanted her here now she always made me feel safe, I need to feel safe right now.
“Tell us about the first time you met. Then your first date”
“I think It went something like this. I was late for class the line for water had been too long and I had just gotten out of P.e. The teacher would understand she always did but it wasn’t my teacher instead we had a sub. She was livid wanted me to apologize to everyone in class for interrupting their learning. I thought it was stupid and I refused no one was doing anything anyway, she sent me out. A few minutes later I heard loud yelling from the classroom, then the most beautiful person I had ever seen walked out. She wasn’t happy though she looked about ready to throw a punch. The only reason I knew her was because the teacher was always praising her on how well she did. I remember asking her what had happened, she launched into a full scale rant about how she was only trying to help and that the substitute had no idea what she was talking about. We spent the class laughing, I couldn’t believe how funny she was, the way her eyes lit up when she was talking about certain things.
You know when people describe falling in love they say they knew it right away? I didn’t notice until I couldn’t I run away. She texted me one night and asked if we could talk someone told me once that only three type of people are up at 3:30 crazy people, brokenhearted and those who are in love. I didn’t know where she fell not when she called me and we talked all night, I knew where I fell, I had fallen in love with her.
Our first date was something else, I wanted to take to a fancy place to eat and then drop her off at home. I had a rule for first dates no kissing, I didn’t want her to think I only wanted her for her body. She wouldn’t allow me to plan the date no matter what I tried it was a no. So I went along with her plans, I picked her up after school and she plugged directions into my phone. We pulled into a parking lot for a brick building, she made me close my eyes and walk in. She wasn’t great at leading me around but somehow we made it inside alive. When I opened up my eyes I saw the one of the most beautiful things. We stood in the middle of a butterfly garden, there were so many colors around us it the moment of it all her hand intertwined with mine and we walked around whispering to each other. It was like the butterflies had escaped from the garden and planted themselves in my stomach. We stayed there as late as we could, we stopped by a little Italian place. I drove her home and dropped her off, she brought me to her porch telling me her parents wouldn’t mind. There under the stars with her porch light shining above for us I threw away my rules and kissed her.” I felt a smile pull at my lips, but tears brimmed in my eyes.
“When was her birthday?”
“March 22nd”
“What was her favorite color?”
“Grayish blue”
“Her dog's name?”
“She never had one”
“Breakfast?”
“She never ate any, said it was a waste of time. Why are you asking me these questions?”
“Her mom's name?Dad?Sibling?”
“Stop asking these question this isn’t help me. You’re suppose to be making everything okay. Can’t we talk about something other than her.” I suddenly felt like I was falling.
“I am helping. Wake up Al, you never loved her, you didn’t deserve her.”
“Don’t say that.”
“It’s the truth. Wake up Al. Wake up, wake up, wake up.”
I was awaken by someone shaking me awake. My mind was still racing  trying to calm itself down it was all a dream. My sister stood next to my bed a glass of water sat on my nightstand. I started counting things in my room, there were five pillows, four pairs of shoes, three bottles of sleeping pills, two of them were full, and one alarm clock that read 7:30am. Counting things helped me feel grounded made me feel calm or safe.
“You were having a bad dream about her again weren’t you?” I nodded my head and sat up. “That's why you have to go to these meetings right? So they can fix you?”
“I’m not broken, I don’t need fixing. How many time have I told you not to come in my room? What are you doing in here?” I took a drink of water to calm me down.
“Mom sent me up to wake you up, your meeting is in 45 minutes.” I coughed on the water and ushered her out. I quickly got dressed and ran downstairs, my family was standing by the door. I said my goodbyes and head to the bus and quickly arrived at my destination. I pushed open the door to see a group of people sitting in metal chairs they all had kind smiles. A man covered in tattoos stood up and add a chair, I thanked them.
“Welcome to Dealing With Losing a Loved One To Cancer. You must be Allison.”
