Hey, I don't know how much of Frontiers you have played yet (so feel free to hold off on answering until you play a bit more, if you want) but how are you liking it? 👀 How do you feel the devs did on the game?
I am asking because I DO want to hear you gush about Frontiers (or give your criticisms), but also for slightly selfish reasons because the team who made Frontiers is also making the open world Star Wars game and I am a bit hyped lmao. I am hoping that if the team did a great job on Frontiers, they might also do a great job with my hearthome as well c:
But for real, please gush if you want, I love hearing about your hearthome stuff and seeing people get excited over things like that brings me so much joy.
@starrun (sideblog woes, gotta send on anon)
(Ayyyy, fellow hearthome-haver! :D)
So here's the thing about Frontiers, and thank you for giving me an excuse to make this post.
I'm going to preface this by saying I am not very far into the story yet, so this may well just be a case of me not being far enough in to have a good grasp on it. I haven't even gotten to getting my ikran yet, and I know that's considered relatively early in the story.
With that being said: If one of your primary desires with Frontiers of Pandora is to experience Pandora, you will have a fantastic time with this game. If that's not something you're really interested in, and you're only focused on other aspects of gameplay... it might not be worth the price tag for you.
I am in love with this game, let me be very clear about that. I've been playing it obsessively in every spare minute I have. But my primary desire with it is to experience Eywa'eveng, story and other gameplay aspects be damned. In that, Frontiers does a spectacular job - the world is impossibly detailed and interactive and beautiful, the animals and plants are fun and interesting and I haven't even gotten out of the jungle where they really put together a bunch of new stuff yet, the feeling of the world is flawless. Weather cycles are a thing, day-night cycles are a thing, and both of them are extremely well-done in terms of duration and beauty. The gathering and crafting systems focusing on immersiveness and quality over quantity is great; the cooking system is genuinely fun to experiment with (though that probably won't last terribly long lol). The Na'vi actually speak well-pronounced Na'vi! Although the subtitles could use some corrections and there's a couple of weird instances where character names are misspelled according to Na'vi phonetics (looking at you, Eetu - that should be Itu). The character concepts are very strong and interesting, and I'm in love with a couple of them. The music is incredible. Running around in the world feels fantastic - you really feel how strong and agile you are as a Na'vi, and they really understood how important verticality is to Eywa'eveng; you can climb basically anything you want and you're rewarded for exploring by finding neat things and resources. I can't wait to be able to fly.
However, it's clear that they focused so hard on that aspect of the game that, in my opinion at least, some other aspects of it suffered. There's some weird little things, like the fact that NPCs in the world who have something for you but don't have a whole cutscene don't turn to face you when they talk to you, and the ones that do have a cutscene tend to glitch and teleport when the cutscene ends sometimes (mostly this seems to happen with cutscenes that aren't directly plot-relevant, though, so it's not like it's gotten in the way of anything, it's just jarring). The character and story concepts are very strong, fun, and interesting, but the execution is... kind of meh so far, to be honest. A good portion of the dialogue feels a little unpolished.
There's also a few game decisions I just plain don't like, even though it's clear that's just a case of "they were going for something different from my preference" rather than "this is poorly done". For instance, there's no dialogue options when you talk to NPCs; the player character just says what they're going to say, and for me, even if a dialogue option doesn't actually change anything, it's still nice to have it and makes it feel more interactive and engaging. As it is, I feel a little disconnected from the character I'm playing as. Similarly, while there's a lot of ambient dialogue from NPCs as you walk around (which is fun and nice), I kind of miss the ability a lot of RPGs have to walk up to the major/named NPCs and interact with them to prompt a dialogue line when they don't actually have a full conversation for you.
But, again, a lot of the weak points are things that might well get ironed out as I get further into the story, and might just be a symptom of that weird little portion a lot of games have toward the start where they're trying to get you fully set and going on the story and thus things have to be a little weird to make that happen. A lot of the characters' mehness is not that they feel flat, but that they feel unexplored, and like... there's plenty of time for them to be explored in, it just hasn't happened yet. So I'm reticent to say any of this is a very fair critique just yet, but it's what I've got for you.

howdy, worms and germs. this is an indie rp blog dedicated to Getō Suguru and Fushiguro Megumi from Jujutsu Kaisen [ and lowkey Jin Marito from Bucchigiri ]. my portrayal is both anime and manga based. manga events will not be spoiled.
Tumblr media
! ! ! themes present but are not limited to: violence, gore, abandonment issues, childhood trauma, depression, mass murder, child soldiers. this is not to say all my threads and headcanons will be violent or solemn. I do enjoy the light hearted side of friendship and bonding, but the trauma of being a jujutsu sorcerer is very important in my portrayals.
Tumblr media
also important : I do not condone Suguru's actions. this is fiction. I love delving into his psychology and motivation. I try to understand it to a point, but his actions and mentality are not a reflection of mine. I am pro villains; their accurate portrayals are interesting.
i do not have the time for yet another blog, so i'll be writing and exploring a non-jjk muse here. if he gains any attention, i may consider moving him to another blog.
𝟎𝟎 details on megumi. 𝟎𝟎 details on suguru. 𝟎𝟏 promo. 𝟎𝟐 megumi visuals. 𝟎𝟐 suguru visuals. 𝟎𝟐 marito visuals. 𝟎𝟑 plotting call. 𝟎𝟒 memes. 𝟎𝟒 meme call. 𝟎𝟓 character study. 𝟎𝟔 alternate verses. 𝟎𝟕 introspection.
Tumblr media
Rules are below the cut.
I’ll spare you anything long winded though these are definitely subject to change and certainly up for lengthening in the future!
—   𝟎𝟏   I run a mutuals only blog. If I follow you, I want to WRITE with you. I don’t collect followers and like to keep a tidy blog of people who interact with me. Since you’re reading this, that means you care enough to do so. I won’t bite your head off; please feel free to send memes or hit me up for a thread idea. I often clean up my follow list through soft blocks.
—  𝟎𝟐   I don’t write one liners or semis. The more you write, the more I’m inclined to reply rapidly. Quality and quantity fuel my motivation! I truly enjoy world building and scene progression, so novella length threads are sought. Plotting and winging things are equally enjoyed, however for lengthy and detailed threads ( esp crossovers ), plotting is preferred. I have a plotting call linked above.
—   𝟎𝟑  This is an 18+ blog as I am nearing my thirties. I don’t foresee posting NSFW images, but I write heavily graphic scenes thus don’t feel comfortable writing with minors. Any suggestive aesthetics or sinday memes will be tagged as " after dark .".  I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, and I don’t want to make any of my followers uncomfortable. More regarding potential smut is below.
—  𝟎𝟒  I don’t have any triggers and don’t tag any triggers. Threads are generally rated M, but I can go PG-13 depending on who I am writing with. I do not shy away from violent and graphic scenes fyi; I really enjoy writing them actually! I encourage you to message me if you would like to write out something extremely graphic. Violence aside, smut may make an appearance. It is not the goal of my writing. If there's chemistry in the thread and between the writers, well ... who am I to say no. In the case of potential smut, aging up characters is fine; I know some people are sensitive about this. Smut will only occur with male characters as I am gay in real life and choose to depict Suguru and Megumi as gay, albeit not openly.
—   𝟎𝟓  When it comes to ages, I think it's vital to keep character ages canon. Yeah, JJk is great with all the lore and action, but the ages of the characters and the soul crushing and life threatening lives they live is the heart of the series. What everyone goes through as a child and as a teenager is incredibly vital. The only time I think aging up is alright is in terms of smut. Having said that, I'm not opposed to writing crushes or romances during their teens.
—  𝟎𝟔  I do moderate edits and formatting. Formatting isn’t a deal breaker with me honestly. I prefer length over pretty aesthetics. I do ask that you cut posts; I won’t be following if you don’t cut your posts or fail to tag your posts — all of your posts especially your ooc ones.
—  𝟎𝟕 Crossovers are loooooved to other animes/mangas, video games, to shows and movies. Do not be afraid to reach out with crossover ideas. I am also very much interested in AU threads especially involving Suguru since there is a lot of potential with him. So far, I have FFVII verses written up for both of the dudes. Provided interest, I will write up verses for Bleach, Castlevania, and the Witcher among other things.
—  𝟎𝟖   As stated earlier, currently I am all caught up with the manga. For those who are only watching the anime, I will not incorporate any manga elements in our threads. I do not openly discuss spoilers for the sake of other people. If I do discuss anything that may be considered a spoiler, it will be tagged as "!! manga ." and placed under a cut. Headcanons and drabbles including the events of the manga will be tagged with the aforementioned tag.
—  𝟎𝟗   Regarding Suguru, it is my preference to write him just as Suguru not as Kenjaku, however I am not opposed to it for the sake of an interesting thread. On that similar note, I am happy to write Suguru as a teenager.
—  𝟏𝟎   I encourage you to like the content you see. If you like the images, headcanons, songs I post, you are more than welcome to like them. Do not reblog my personal edits, headcanons, and even images I find and post ( still tag with art credit ) unless I have tagged you in the post. You are also welcome to tag me in posts; that would make me very happy! When it comes to memes, please reblog from the source. PLEASE.
—  𝟏𝟏   When it comes to asks/memes, I treat them as independent little snippets. Sort of like insights with some or no background information. Sometimes I write them intentionally vague because it's what comes to me at the moment. I do not treat ask responses as starters, however you are more than welcome to continue a response of mine if you like it enough! Also, I have an ask box call linked above, and you are always welcome to like and comment it whenever you want to be sent things. Seriously. You'll never pester me. You can like request ask box things 24/7.

rereading a song of ice and fire yet again so i'm on the hunt for some game of thrones/a song of ice and fire/house of the dragon plots!
i am very flexible when it comes to whether the plots are centered on canon muses, original muses or a mix of both and i'm very happy to go along with the flow and conform to my writing partner's preferences.
i use this blog solely for plotting which is why it’s blank but i have over a decade of experience in the rpc! as a 25+ writer (she/her), i only interact with writers over the age of 19 so please be respectful of that limitation. in terms of requirements, i'm a big quality over quantity person so i'm always happy to modify my reply length based on my writing partner's preference but literacy is very important to me as i lose muse quickly if i feel like i'm not getting enough to work with for my replies. i spend most of my time on discord but if you like this post or message me, i can give you my handle <3

Transformers: Mosaic #376 - "Human Component: Minerva"
Originally posted on May 4th, 2009
Story, Art - Iván Mas Thanks to - Carlos Oliveros
deviantART | Seibertron | TFW2005 | BotTalk
wada sez: Minerva was one of the most dramatic reinventions of a Hasbro toy for the Japanese market, a complete redeco of Nightbeat into a medic’s car. Ignoring later retcons, she was the first ever toy of a female Transformer. Together with Shūta and Cab, she was one of the three schoolkids given a Master-Brace by the Autobots, which allows her to transform into a Headmaster and combine with a Transtector. Chōkon Power is involved somehow. Given that Minerva is a schoolgirl, perhaps you’re wondering why Mas has drawn her Like That. Great question! Mas’s stated justification (per the machine-translated commentary I’ve included below the break, along with some extra art) is that he found the premise of the young teens driving around saving the world too far-fetched, so he’s aged them up a bit. Sure, I guess. If we’re talking in terms of the plot of Masterforce, this strip appears to be set after the fourth episode, “Birth! Headmaster Jrs”, which has the first altercation between the Autobot and Decepticon Headmaster Juniors—but obviously Mas is adapting the story for a new audience so is at liberty to futz with this kind of thing. To paraphase a comment by Mas on deviantART, he justifies the sheer quantity of text in this strip by reminding readers that he’s writing about a story/characters most readers will have zero familiarity with, because he’s “not interested in explaining Starscream’s treachery towards Megatron, or how nice Hot Rod is”! Based?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The idea is simple, I want to introduce the main characters of Masterfroce, which outside Japan, are more or less unknown in many countries, and the series, in terms of potential, seems to me the most profitable and innovative.
Personally I have always wanted to face Transformers in a more serious and adult way, more in line with these times, I think that the younger audience already has its "Animated" and will always have the classic series.
I also think that it would be relatively easy to make Transformers a good comic of say "superheroes or robots" and I mean a comic that both Transformers and non Transformers fans would like. And I think it would be easy to put it at the level of ... maybe some x-men (?!) ( sacrilegeee!!!! ) ( not in terms of sales volume, that's logical, but in essence ).
Another of the "problems" that I feel transformers comics have in general is that at graphic level the robots are indeed very well, but that’s all.... when it comes to drawing backgrounds or humans ........... let's be frank although it annoys us, in the comic world, nobody takes transformers as something serious, it is considered a sub-product ( never better said "SUB" ) to simply sell dolls, of course, so far they have done well.
In the mosaic, first of all I tried to create the same feeling I had with Masterforce when I saw it,
- really, this is transformers ? no robots ! -
So, in none of these mosaics I'm going to introduce anything related to robots, although of course, they are an important or fundamental part of the theme.
But before we talked about giving an adult touch to the theme, and in this aspect, I am more interested in what the "souls" of the robots may think, which in this case is the function that humans do, in order to be able to understand better the metallic beings.
But in this aspect I always give the same example... in "the walking dead" the main thing should be the zombies, however they end up being something secondary... and nobody will deny that the series is more than good.
However in this Mosaic, those of you who know Masterforce will have noticed.... in the series, Minerva was not so grown up.... well, I have done it for coherence, the eighties were another thing, but today, it would be too far-fetched, even within the far-fetched nature of the story, that a girl of 15 years not only drove a car, without being stopped by the police, but also save lives and worlds, with the maturity that presumably entails.
Masterforce is also not a new twist to the same, which would be easy and what every X time is already done, but a new concept, an evolution of robots and characters, far are the already "incarcerated and typical" Prime and Megatron, beings to which I have great respect and appreciation, but I consider that neither the fans of Transformers or any series can live forever of the same characters, even more when they are so well known, in this case,
Wolverine is a good example, nowadays it is very difficult to create something surprisingly good and new with Wolverine and even more without breaking the different continuities.
Or Batman too... to create something that really catches the attention, they have had to kill Bruce Wayne .....
I know that I run the risk that many because people don’t see robots, they won’t be interested interested in the story, but without wanting to seem offensive, that’s your problem, we have been watching Prime and Megatron for 25 years..... and I'm starting to get a little tired, and besides even at the time Masterforce was better than the original G.1 in almost all concepts, in animation, character design, drawing and scripting.
So, I hope that people can discover and enjoy Masterforce and I hope that those who already know it can "open" their mind a little and they will like it, if not... they will always have Prime and Megatron.

(sending this again bc i messed up the first one, sorry!) heyo, 25+f seeking aot/attack on titan writing partners ✨. discord/tumblr/docs, idc. I'm a long-term roleplayer and I will literally send you memes and HCs one hour after we start talking because I'm both stupid and unhinged. ships are the priority, brotps are the welcome bonus. i write both men and women and prefer when my writing partners do as well.
my philosophy is taking the world that is provided to us and turn it into our playground, changing things however we see fit. if you care intensely about keeping things canon and getting every detail about events and character’s personalities right, we won’t be compatible. i love AUs, i love brainstorming, and i love original characters. i’m only interested in writing with partners who will double up and/or write a mutimuse with me.
it’s important to me to approach plots and characters with realism (if you’re someone who doesn’t look forward to the possible character growth/development coming from the disagreements in a ship, i’m not your girl), but i WILL conjugate that realism with more gringy elements (like love triangles, pinning, and accidental pregnancies). we can reserve the gringe for AUs and shitposting though, but i believe life is too short to completely deprive ourselves from it.
rules:
20+ only, this is non negotiable.
i don’t have trigger warnings and enjoy writing potentially triggering topics like manipulation and memory loss etc, but lets always be respectful.
writing between 2-5 solid paragraphs. it depends. i value quality over quantity.
enthusiasm, please. i’ve a very devoted roleplay partner so this is extremely important to me. i know life gets busy, trust me my work keeps me very occupied, but i’m someone who loves to share hcs and brainstorm and make pinterest boards. i don’t expect fast replies at all, but unless my partner lets me know they’re going to be inactive, if i don’t have any sort of interaction with them for over a week (this can be something as simple as pinning something to our pinterest boards), i do feel a bit like shit.
what i want:

Encanto at 35
A review by Adam D. Jaspering
Encanto is the story of Mirabel Madrigal. A young Colombian woman, she lives in an enchanted house, in an enchanted village, with her enchanted family. Unfortunately, Mirabel has the misfortune of being the only Madrigal without a magical gift. Unsure of her role or purpose within her family, she lives life one day at a time. One day, signs and omens appear, indicating something is not right with her family and her home. Her fate is apparent for the first time: Mirabel will be the one to save her family, or else, she'll be the one to destroy it.
Tumblr media
“Encanto” is a Spanish word that doesn’t translate directly into English. A close approximation is “enchantingly beloved,” acting as a noun. Both enchanting as beautiful and enchanting as magical. In the context of the film, Encanto both describes the village setting, and serves as the village’s name.
It’s surely no coincidence that the word also ends in “Canto.” Alongside the family name “Madrigal,” the theme's primary focus is apparent. A musical affinity is deliberately interwoven into the film.
Lin-Manuel Miranda returns to helm the music and lyrics. This time, he brings more of his signature flair. With Moana’s soundtrack, Miranda was imitating a classical Disney showtune style. The songs were great, but they were formalist creations. He wrote songs for Disney the way he believed Disney songs were supposed to sound.
The music of Encanto is more representative of Miranda’s style. We hear his trademark wordplay, hip hop influences, boisterous appreciation of showtunes, and a blurring of genre lines.
Tumblr media
Miranda went above and beyond experimenting with the various Latin music subgenres. The movie’s Colombian setting presents both traditional folk music and modern styles. All of it formed into a theatrical pop construct. To people unfamiliar with Colombia's musical styles, it sounds beautiful, exotic, and inviting. To those who are, it sounds like a cavalcade portrayal of an underrepresented land.
Just like everything else Lin-Manuel Miranda touches, the fan response and commercial success followed. Encanto’s soundtrack was at the top of the Billboard chart for nine weeks. Every song appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with five songs cracking the Top 50. “Dos Oruguitas” earned Miranda another Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song. The album went platinum in just four months.
Tumblr media
But as popular as the soundtrack is, there is a film supporting it that needs to be discussed. Encanto is a movie about a multigenerational family. There are twelve people living under one roof. It’s plot requires a functional understanding of the Madrigal family tree, their history, and the interpersonal relations among them. The movie has an important duty. It needs to make all of its lore known, understood, and remembered before the movie can begin.
Tumblr media
In the past, Disney films have had difficulty supporting large casts. It’s difficult to introduce a large number of people, while expecting the audience to remember their names and personalities. It’s also a challenge for the movie to find enough screentime and plot to justify all these characters. Would Mirabel’s large family serve a purpose onscreen? Or would it be like 101 Dalmatians, only important in terms of sheer quantity?
The movie uses two different methods to spit out its exposition. The first, in a prologue, a young Mirabel is told her family history by her grandmother. As a family elder is teaching her family history to an eager young child, we the audience are eavesdropping on the conversation. We learn the origins of the Madrigal family’s gifts, the nature of the magic, and the magic candle at the center of it all. informative and it feels natural. It’s an organic way to present details slowly and purposefully without relying on omniscient narration.
Tumblr media
The second method is stranger, but just as effective. In the movie’s opening number, the now adult Mirabel introduces us to her family. In a fast-tempo patter song, not only do we learn the family’s names and relationships, we learn each of their associated magic gifts. “The Family Madrigal” is a silly and unconventional way to learn the character roster, but it’s effective.
Tumblr media
Mirabel isn’t breaking the fourth wall by singing directly to us. Throughout the film, a small assortment of kids observe and comment on situations occurring. Much like a Shakespearean chorus, they frame and contextualize important plot points. Ideas that couldn’t otherwise be expressed visually or verbally are directed towards them, even if they’re off camera. They also ask rhetorical questions, keeping the plot threads moving in intended directions. It keeps the story of the Madrigal family from becoming cloistered. It reminds us of the stakes throughout. The movie doesn't concern just a privileged family, but an entire village. Their personal problems have municipal consequences.
Tumblr media
For brevity’s sake, we won’t explore every member of the Madrigal family. Suffice to say, each member of the supporting cast has a role and function in the story. Nothing feels extraneous or redundant. Everyone has a unique design and characterization, differentiating them. Everyone contributes in someway, be it to move the plot along, to lighten the mood, or to visually depict changing circumstances. Everyone adds to the film, building on circumstances rather than distracting or overshadowing. Nobody is ever just their one gimmick.
Mirabel’s sisters get two major explorations of the film’s theme. As is tradition in musicals, both Luisa and Isabela reveal their inner secrets and frustrations through song. Long kept hidden from everyone, including themselves, simple words will not suffice.
Luisa’s gift is abnormal superhuman strength. Her song, "Surface Pressure,” is a revelation that her strength has made her incredibly insecure. Due to her gift, she can literally move, lift, or carry anything. Every chore, every duty, every task, she feels obligated to take on the burden. She obediently does so, feeling guilty about ever resting or declining a request. Doing anything less would be a waste of her gift.
Tumblr media
Luisa knows full well nobody else can do what she does (or at least not as effortlessly). She also knows these duties must be done for the good of the Encanto. If she doesn't get the work done, she's unfairly placing a burden on others. She's an involuntary workaholic who's placed the world on her own shoulders.
Tumblr media
Isabela’s gift is the ability to grow plants and flowers instantly. The beautiful botanical displays implore her to be an epitomized version of femininity. Her song, "What Else Can I Do?,” is a confession that despite her outward perfection, she’s deeply unhappy.
The image Isabela puts forth is one immaculately curated. Her horticultural gift has always been at the forefront of her entire image. She can create a wave of pink flowers instantaneously. So she dresses and behaves like a girl whose persona requires so many pink flowers.
Tumblr media
So much so, Isabela has had to suppress any interest or affection that would betray such an image. She has spent so long trying to be a perfect beauty, it’s become effortless and boring. She’s never had the opportunity to pursue any latent interest. Such as a newly discovered thirst for creative expression.
Tumblr media
Both of these are in contrast to Mirabel’s character arc. With no magic gift to call her own, Mirabel has always felt like an outsider in her family. She’s felt unimportant and insignificant. She has no immediately obvious and presentable talent in a family of superstars. She’s generic. With no gift, she has no purpose, and therefore no direction. Mirabel can do anything, but can’t do anything with that freedom. Her sisters have great talents, but are stuck doing one thing forever. Neither party is happy, but for opposite reasons.
But despite these suppressed miseries, all three remain loyal and faithful to their family and their Encanto. As unhappy as they are, leaving would be even worse. And they know this as a fact.
Throughout the film, we see the complete Madrigal family tree, but one member is conspicuously absent. Whenever his name is brought up, the topic is swiftly dismissed. We only get a ominous, uniform warning: ‘We don’t talk about Bruno.’
Tumblr media
Early on, we have no frame of reference of Bruno’s fate or what he did to earn such a reputation. What heinous act did he perform to be disgrace by his home? What legendary crime has expelled him from his family? What grievous misdeed has made him such a pariah? With all the secrecy and displeasure, one is fully ready to accept Bruno as the film’s villain.
Tumblr media
As Mirabel investigates her family’s secrets, all signs point to her long disappeared uncle. She can’t accept his status as an unperson any longer. She needs to know the truth. Again, the truth comes out in song form.
In a film full of hit songs, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” is the biggest hit of Encanto. For months after the film’s release, the song dominated popular culture. It spent weeks atop the singles chart, and was a viral sensation. It’s difficult to compare mathematically due to the changing states of music consumption, but all indicators imply the same thing: “Circle of Life” was popular. “Let It Go” was big. “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” was a sensation.
The song details the ire, the fear, and the resentment everyone has towards Bruno Madrigal. We hear of Bruno’s many transgressions. We learn both why everyone dislikes him and why they’re glad he’s gone.
Tumblr media
But as Mirabel learns, Bruno did nothing wrong. His so-called faults are severely hyperbolized. Everybody’s stories are sour grape justifications for their feelings. Bruno is gone. Rather than miss him or mourn him, everyone convinces themselves they're happy Bruno is gone.
It’s clear something is awry. Even if the rumors and reputation weren’t disingenuous, they don't answer Mirabel's questions. She needs to know why Bruno is gone and why he disappeared when he did. Everyone is making excuses, justifying their feelings towards Bruno’s absence. Whatever Bruno did, Mirabel will never know by asking. Everyone is lying to themselves. They'll of course lie to her.
Bruno’s gift is precognition. He’s an interpretation of the Cassandra myth. In Greek mythology, Cassandra was blessed with the gift of foresight. However, no matter what she saw, she could never convince anyone of the oncoming truth. She was doomed to witness tragic events she could not prevent.
The difference being, when Cassandra spoke the truth, no one would believe her. When Bruno spoke the truth, everyone blamed him. The various prophecies espoused by Bruno are impartial accounts of the future. Whatever happens, happens. Bruno is just the messenger. But he gets the blame all the same.
Tumblr media
So what drove Bruno to exile? On the night Mirabel learned she had no magic gift, Bruno tried to discover what had happened. Such an anomaly surely meant something important. His ensuing vision was unlike any he’d seen before: a quantum flux of two possible futures. He saw Mirabel standing in front of the Madrigal home. In one state, the house was healthy, sturdy and strong. In the other, the house was in ruination.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bruno couldn't blame his niece for the impending fate of his family. Nor could he present such bad news to his family. Rather than disappoint them, scare them, or lie to them, Bruno fled. His family thinks he abandoned them in a time of need. Instead, he's kept a dark secret to himself for years, scared to face the consequences. A self-imposed life of isolation is preferable to traumatizing his loved ones.
Tumblr media
Knowing that she's possibly destined to doom the family, the burden is now on Mirabel. How can she avert a tragic fate? How can she prevent the fall of her Encanto? And what's causing the magic to fail in the first place?
The matriarch of the family is Mirabel’s grandmother, Alma. Like Mirabel, Alma has no magical gift herself. Instead, Alma is the one who is responsible for her family’s gifts. Many years ago, it was her who found the candle’s magic. In the 50+ years since, she presides over Encanto, making sure her family’s gifts are being used to the benefit of all. She has no gift herself, but considers herself responsible for the entire community.
Tumblr media
In her desire to maintain a pleasant life for all, Alma has mandated perfection from her family. Not harshly, and not maliciously, but mandated all the same. Her words and actions have put forward an attitude of domineering control. As such, the Madrigals have internalized a need for perfection and obedience. Anything else would be sacrilege. But how can one function when the platitude “Respect your elders” determines everything in your life?
Encanto has a unique feeling to it, separating it from other Disney films. Mirabel doesn’t go on a grand adventure to learn something about herself. There’s no villain causing pain and suffering who needs to be toppled. There’s no MacGuffin that will fix every problem once acquired. There’s no quirky animal sidekick. There’s no battle between good and evil or right and wrong. It’s just a family and their long-seated problems which are coming to a head. This family just happens to have magic powers and live in a magic house.
Tumblr media
In truth, Encanto feels more like a Pixar film than a Disney film. Pixar’s stories are more introspective and personal. They tend to center on relatable and enthusiastic characters whose comfortable lives are upended. They go on a journey to fix their status. They learn something essential about their lives and their self-worth. They find solace in others, helping solve their problems, too. Problems get solved, not in a way expected, but in a way needed. Disney heroes strive for something good. Pixar heroes find something better in themselves.
Mirabel has been an outsider in her own family. She hasn't realized how unhappy she’s been all these years, subjected to such a life. She hasn’t noticed how stressed and tense and stifled her family has been. She hasn’t realized how domineering and controlling her grandmother has been. It’s always seemed normal to her. She’s only known this as her life. She's never questioned it. But now, faced with her family's destruction, she begins seeing literal cracks in the façade.
Tumblr media
Things need to change, but how? Everyone else is comfortable with their lives, convincing themselves they’re comfortable, or afraid of upsetting others. Mirabel's actions seem either inflammatory, disrespectful, or petty. How can she convince her family to talk about their feelings when they have a complex song and dance number about not talking about subjects that upset them?
Tumblr media
The crux of the movie is generational trauma. Trauma experienced by a family elder has the ability to affect their children and grandchildren. Sometimes it's physical and abusive. Sometimes it's psychological and manipulative. In the case of the Madrigals, it’s a chronic need for perfection.
The movie never explicitly states when Encanto takes place. There’s a deliberate timeless quality to the picture. It could easily take place in the present, or at any point in the past hundred years. The only piece of technology seen throughout the film is a color film camera.
Tumblr media
But there are strong indicators, assuming one is versed in South American history. In a flashback, we see Alma and her departed husband as a young married couple. Their happy life is upended when forced to flee their home. Soldiers move in on the city, violently ransacking the town. These enemy soldiers are only seen illuminated from behind. Those in the know would recognize them as soldiers from Colombia’s Thousand Days War.
Tumblr media
Even without the historical context, it’s an easily sympathetic backstory. In a short span, she survived a war, became a refugee with newborn triplets, and saw her husband murdered by nationalists. It was a major traumatic experience. So much so, the mystic forces of the world bestowed Alma with a magic candle. It created a secluded valley where she and other refugees could live in peace, isolated from war and bloodshed.
The candle also awarded her family line with magic gifts to serve this new village. Alma was indeed blessed with great fortune, but has never forgotten it came at a dire price. She never wants anyone to live through a fraction of what she’s experienced. Anarchy cannot destroy any more lives. But there’s no point in saving everyone from misery if the process itself is causing misery. Her obsession with perfection is eating away at her family.
Tumblr media
Bruno’s vision wasn’t Mirabel either fixing or destroying the family. It was both. She needed to destroy its dysfunctions to save them. Mirabel never received a gift because it was her destiny to fix this. Had she received magic powers, she’d only be another extension of the trouble. This the type of problem that can only be seen by an outsider.
Coincidentally, Pixar has explored the idea of generational trauma twice. The first in the 2017′s Coco, and again in 2022′s Turning Red. Both films center their conflict around fantasy. Both integrate the fantastic and the dramatic. Both agonize over the troubles and problems that have rippled through generations. And both are resolved in a satisfying way.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Released between these two pictures, Encanto seems like a natural companion piece. But while both Turning Red and Coco intertwine their protagonists’ personal journeys with their exploration of family troubles, Encanto falls short. Pixar’s offerings focus on the invisible conflict between children and elders throughout. Generational conflicts are explored from the start to the conclusion. Much of Encanto is spent recognizing whether there’s even a problem to begin with.
By the time Mirabel recognizes her family's issues stem from her grandmother's actions, the film is rapidly approaching the finale. The idea is dropped into our laps almost unceremoniously. The movie declares its theme like a mystery detective announcing the culprit.
Tumblr media
In fairness, the plot thread isn’t pulled from thin air. The subtext was always there, just shoved into the periphery. The movie wanted us to focus on other things instead. Things like Bruno’s absence and Mirabel’s prophecy. The movie was dangling red herrings, trying to keep its fantasy elements in the forefront. It's as though the writers were ashamed of the conclusion. As though family drama and grief processing were too mundane for their fantasy world.
When Mirabel and her grandmother discuss their issues, the resolution arrives questionably fast. It’s emotional themes are localized to one scene, and that scene is handled in a very mature, low key, expedited way. It’s a sensible discussion between a grandmother and her granddaughter. It’s not a bad representation of an introductory therapy session, but it feels insubstantial for a movie. Its more of a forced resolution than an actual satisfying conclusion.
In both Turning Red and Coco, the cycle of generational trauma is broken with storytelling twists. Actions, revelations and discoveries overwhelmingly change their respective families. Everyone learns something they couldn’t have possibly understood before the adventure at the core of their movie. The trauma is broken because their entire worldview is now different.
But in Encanto’s case, the trauma is broken because the writers want it to be broken. Mirabel reaffirms her love for her family. Alma promises to be patient and understanding. And this solves their problems. It’s an easy, unearned path to resolution hiding behind sentimentality.
It’s also a major stylistic mismatch from the fantasy concepts we’ve seen so far. There’s no discovery of a long-held secret. There’s no radical upheaval in the family dynamic. There’s no sacrifice or loss or change in the family’s magic. Mirabel and Alma have a conversation, apologize, and that’s it.
Tumblr media
It’s ironic that such a treatment befalls a film about the struggles of who you want to be conflicting with who you’re expected to be. Disney had an idea of what ending they wanted, and forced it to end in such a way.
It’s even more ironic that this wasn’t the only time such an occurrence befell the film. It happened during the character design phase. Luisa is an ox of a character. She’s able to lift entire buildings without effort. Being such a strong person, Luisa is naturally drawn bulky with muscular limbs and torso.
Tumblr media
One would think this would be a fairly straightforward portrayal of a strong character. But the animators had to emphatically fight the producers to keep this character design. From the producers’ perspective, the overly-muscular woman would be off-putting and intimidating. She’d look unappealing on merchandise, and kids would stray away from any product featuring her.
The opposite wound up happening. Girls in the coveted youth demographic absolutely loved Luisa and her design. She was the breakout star of the film. What little merchandise existed featuring Luisa sold out quick.
Meanwhile, Disney gambled on the stereotypically girly Isabela, whose products only sold average. Funny enough, Isabela’s character arc concerned her frustration towards her conventional femininity. She considered her curated, manicured ways confining and unsatisfying. But it was that artifice that was slapped on bedsheets and bookbags. It’s like the merchandising gurus were hoping kids didn’t pay attention to the film.
It’s not until Isabela abandoned this life that she found happiness. Such a departure is visually represented by fluorescent highlights in her hair and a splotched dress. Like Luisa, this design was also sought after, but not as readily available as other merchandise. Both wound up being available in greater quantities, but not until after the Christmas buying bonanza.
Tumblr media
Even the casting process squared expectations against reality. Mirabel is voiced by actress Stephanie Beatriz. Except for a supporting role in the film adaptation of In the Heights, Beatriz didn’t have a history in music or musicals.
Beatriz is most famous for her role as Rosa Diaz, a hardened, intimidating police detective on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. This is likely why the filmmakers first approached her for the role of Luisa. They assumed Beatriz was identical to her character in real life. In reality, Beatriz is a substantially upbeat, energetic, feminine person. Detective Diaz is almost an opposite of her actual personality. Aside from the family strife, she was uncannily similar to Mirabel. Beatriz was soon offered the film's lead role instead.
Tumblr media
In all, Encanto had a problem defining its very definition. It was made in defiance of corporate expectations. Disney assumed they knew what audiences wanted, and what shortcuts would be acceptable. Those assumptions were not only wrong, but often backwards.
During production, Disney CEO Bob Iger stepped down from his position, replaced by Bob Chapek. This change in leadership combined with a misunderstanding of audience expectations is troubling. These are the necessary circumstances to bring about another dark age in Disney Animation. But since this blog’s exploration into Disney’s past has caught up with Disney’s present, we can’t tell for certain. We’ll have to wait and see.
In conclusion, Encanto is a very energetic and colorful film. It has a vibrant soundtrack, memorable characters, and a good sense of humor. But its trenchant themes are left unintegrated, leaving its message contrived and superficial. While the narrative itself is anemic, the film's strengths carry it ably. It’s a well-built house, but it’s on a lousy foundation that needs repairs.

Hello!
23 year old roleplayer here looking for someone (20+) to write as Finnick Odair against my Annie Cresta in a longterm Hunger Games RP! Now onto some specifics.
Plot wise, I would like the RP to follow their canon stories but specifics are completely up to us! Hopefully we can discuss back and forth until we’re both satisfied and excited about the plot. I have been roleplaying for nearly a decade and Odesta is my most recurring pairing so I can definitely bring in many plot ideas!
In terms of writing requirements, I only ask that you reply in 1+ paragraphs as well as write in 3rd person. I personally tend to write lengthy replies as I’m a sucker for details but I definitely favor quality over quantity.
Finally, I think it’s important to note that my life is a bit hectic at the moment and that I am coming back to roleplaying after a long hiatus so if you’re looking for a partner who will send multiple replies a day, I’m probably not your person. I will, though, be always 100% transparent with you (whether it be regarding availability or any other issues/situations that may come up).
If you’re interested, please interact with this post and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible! Thanks!

Points To be aware of when reading a inventory chart
Stocks charts are polarizing between investors centered on the long term. To some, applying them is akin to looking through the intestines of a goat to try to forecast the longer term. For Other people, pattern lines and assistance and resistance are very helpful for selecting entry points for a protracted-term financial investment or a short situation. Last but not least, Other folks use inventory charts inside their investing but in a truly contrarian way -- by loading essential metrics onto the chart.
We’ll Check out the preferred stock chart additions and use Netflix (NFLX -0.seventeen%) stock charts as illustrations.
Value It is possible to’t Possess a inventory chart without the stock rate. The chart ordinarily hundreds the closing rate from each day and then plots a line throughout them. Subtle technological Assessment charts from time to time use “candlesticks” along with other designs to show the motion each day. The candlestick will demonstrate the significant, minimal, open up, and close selling prices about the day.
youtube
Day Most inventory charts are both for your earlier 12 months or perhaps the year-to-day (YTD). Shorter-time period traders frequently use charts that exhibit each day or weekly motion, but, for prolonged-time period investors, there isn’t A great deal to become gleaned from them.
Trends “The craze is your Pal” is One of the more prevalent Wall Street sayings. A stock that is trending in both course tends to retain relocating in that path. The more it goes up or down, the greater buyers pile in or pile out.
The most common pattern traces added to your chart will be the two hundred-working day shifting typical (DMA) and the fifty DMA. The 2 time intervals signify a calendar year of investing days and a quarter. In case the inventory selling price is previously mentioned them, it is trending up; whether it is under them, it truly is trending down.
The most important thing to search for with development strains is crossovers. When one line crosses around another, or when one crosses around the stock price, it could signal that a change in development is coming or has occurred. For example, quite a few investors transfer aspect of their portfolio to money once the S&P five hundred selling price crosses under its two hundred DMA.
This is often also handy for shorting. Shorts are often not intended for being lengthy-time period investments but remain beneficial for portfolio administration. Utilizing the stock chart to attend until eventually the stock is inside a downtrend can help you save from dropping a ton of cash on growth stocks that just won’t quit likely up.
You may additionally have heard about momentum. Wherever developments demonstrate what path a stock is shifting in, momentum indicators tell you the pace it’s relocating in that direction. The more you delve into momentum indicators, the even further you move from prolonged-term investing and into speculation and trading.
Guidance/resistance Stocks tend to trade inside of ranges more than the short term. They don’t go bigger when compared to the resistance amount or decrease when compared to the assistance. In contrast to another phrases we’ll go around, there isn't any aid or resistance strains you may load onto a chart; you might have to figure out what the levels are your self. Try to find the prices which the inventory received’t go earlier mentioned or beneath not too long ago.
Pattern lines are frequently a superb assist degree -- traders will purchase if it gets near just one and continue to keep it from falling under. Also, any time a stock moves down below a help level or higher than a resistance stage, it is termed a breakout. Trend crossovers are also breakouts.
Splits Stocks break up once the board of administrators thinks the price is just too high and reducing it could develop much more demand. The corporate increases the quantity of shares to keep the marketplace cap a similar. Within a 2:1 split, the stock value can be Slice in half and every proprietor might have 2 times as quite a few shares. After a break up, historic inventory rates are quickly adjusted in the chart.
Dividends Dividends push the price of profits investments. The higher it is actually, the higher the cost will go as income investors increase desire for the stock. We’ll use Prologis (PLD -0.81%) to get a dividends example as it can be a real-estate financial commitment believe in (REIT) well-liked between profits investors.
Volume Quantity is the quantity traded inside the inventory every single day. Big moves typically coincide with higher volume times. If a stock’s volume is steadily raising, it could sign a breakout that can be coming before long. In addition, shares with low volume is probably not in the position to assistance their recent craze.
Relative strength Relative power is a way to measure regardless of whether a stock is overbought or oversold. When a stock is overbought, or overheating, this means lots of new traders have bought it that the stock selling price has spiked to an unsustainable amount and may most likely fall soon. Oversold would be the reverse.
Relative energy may also be used in progress investing. In the first The Motley Idiot Expense Information, David and Tom Gardner suggested only purchasing stocks with significant relative strength because that meant the marketplace had caught on to the growth story.

9 Vastu For Factory Tips For A World-Class Manufacturing Process
Tumblr media
Vastu for factories over the years has seen an unprecedented increase in demand.
Thanks to globalisation and a rapidly rising economy, the need to establish industries has never been greater than it is now.
The demand for industrial Vastu has also increased.
The rate of industrialisation has been outstanding over the years, from large-scale mega factories to vastu for small factories.
However, only some industries have been booming. While some factories deal with production issues, others continuously deal with labour issues.
This is due to their unwillingness to adopt the principles of Industrial Vastu for factories.
Here’s an example of the ideal vastu for the factory layout. All of these will be discussed in depth in our blog.
Let’s first understand what a vastu for a factory is.
Tumblr media
Maintaining product quality has proven problematic for various businesses. Managing the supply chain and raw materials causes issues for others.
This is where manufacturing Vastu may make all the difference. You might be surprised to know that vastu can assist a factory in increasing output and setting international quality standards.
Many firms have attained the Six-sigma benchmark using the traditionalvastu shastra for factories.
Using the principles of industrial vastu for factories at the time of construction is enormously advantageous, regardless of the size of the industrial or vastu for factory shed.
Tumblr media
Vastu shastra is the science of architecture to design a building by the nature of the elements. The character has five primordial elements: air, water, fire, earth, and space. Most of the objects around us represent one of these in some way.
This is true for buildings of any nature, whether homes, offices, restaurants, or factories.
When the structure and layout of the building are done as per vastu shastra for the factory, it transfers the positive energies of the cosmic world. As a result, it brings greater productivity to your business.
Similarly, random design and structure likely have some underlying vastu defect, which ill affects the vastu.
If the vastu for the factory is auspicious, it helps the unit perform well in terms of production quantity and quality.
It also reduces the occurrence of machinery malfunction and workplace conflict and allows them to get more orders.
Ultimately, Industrial vastu contributes towards getting more business and thereby more profit.
Tips To Generate Better Productivity With Vastu For Factory
Any factory owner who wishes to ensure their facility is Vastu-compliant must make modifications.
When performing Vastu for factories, there are various factors to consider.
Some are listed below:
Tumblr media
The plant plot is the first and most important thing to check for good vastu. This comprises the vastu for factory land and space. In this case, the land’s shape and slope are essential.
The ideal plot design for vastu is square, and if the space is on a slope, make sure the slant is from south to north.
It is critical to notice the inclination since it affects the allocation of both dry and moist zones. It is also necessary to consider the boundary barriers.
For factory vastu, it is essential to have compound walls.
Tumblr media
The position of the factory within the area of the boundary is next on the list of factory vastu.
Primarily, factories are built to provide enough room for a corridor, parking lot, and vehicle passage.
Ensure that the West and South sides of the compound are filled in, as they are the most optimistic.
Factories located in the South-West, South-East, and South zones are perfect for factories, as they provide profit to businesses.
Tumblr media
The direction of the vastu for the factory entrance is another essential thing to understand. This location is crucial in establishing the overall vastu of the factory.
Always consult a vastu consultant before finalising the entrance of the factory. However, it is unavoidable for factory units to have multiple entries, so professional advice is necessary.
So, you can make the direct entry prominent and visible. Also, ensure these gates are placed in the directions mentioned above.
Encourage workers and logistics to use the main entrance more frequently.
Tumblr media
Every factory comprises an administrative office on the campus that oversees paperwork and keeps track of production. Either west or south-west direction is optimal for its placement.
Also, place the owner’s or top-level manager’s workstation to face north or when working.
Tumblr media
Every factory has a storage facility where raw materials and finished goods are kept until sent from the compound.
Place the raw material storage room in the West, West South West and South West directions.
On the other hand, place the finished goods storage facility in the North West and North North West corners of the manufacturing campus.
This will ensure favourable vastu for the factory by allowing for speedy shipping and increased profitability.
Tumblr media
Some factories have a temple placed inside their factory office. North East zone is the ideal direction for temple placement, according to vastu shastra.
This is Lord Shiva’s zone, and he bestows various blessings on the vastu for the factory.
Avoid crowding the temple by starting the day’s work after offering prayer. Place a lamp in front of it to attract positivity.
Tumblr media
Regardless of the type of manufacturing, every factory either consumes heat for production or produces heat due to production.
As a result, any equipment that can resist high temperatures should be kept in the factory’s South East zone.
This decreases the negative consequences of vastu for factories by lowering the chances of accidents and machinery breakdown.
Boilers, furnaces, energy meters, generators, transformers, and other items fall into this category.
Vastu For Factory — Toilets And Bathroom Placement
In every production building, a toilet complex is an absolute essential. The number of toilets in the factory, as per vastu, is determined by the size of the factory’s workforce.
According to Industrial Vastu rules, the restroom area must be in East-South-East, West-North-West, or South-South-West.
The septic tank must be positioned between west and north-west (WNW), east and south-east (ESE), or south and south-west (SSW).
Vastu For Factory — Machinery Placement
In a factory, machines are both heavy and light. Industrial vastu specialists advise keeping them on the South-East or South edges of the compound, regardless of kind. However, avoid placing it in the North East or North West corners.
Vastu For Factory — Water Structures Placement
Water structures are crucial for the vastu of factories. Examples are underground, overhead water tanks, water pumps, bore wells, and other similar devices.
Most of them should be put in the north or North East zone for optimal results. Maintaining the overhead tank in the South West and avoiding the North East is advisable.
Vastu For Factory — Pantry and kitchen Placement
The kitchen or pantry at a factory needs to be appropriately positioned for the fire element to be balanced because it depicts the cosmic fire.
According to Vastu, the best directions for the placement of a kitchen are from South East to South.
Avoid using tiles, blue or black paint on the walls, or any tiling in the kitchen. These vastu colours for the factory represent the water element, which opposes the kitchen’s fire element.
Vastu For Factory — Parking Area
Under industrial Vastu principles, big and light cars should have separate parking areas. Parking for large trucks must be done outside the vastu plants for factory walls.
They must be parked inside only if necessary and only in the South and South West zones. The finest parking locations for scooters and bicycles are towards the north and west.
Even the factory’s North and East zones are possible locations. Avoid parking anywhere in the northeast if possible.
Vastu For Factory — Placement Of Raw Materials And Finished Goods
The two most crucial production parts are raw materials and completed goods. It’s critical to pick the right spot for them.
The West area is the ideal location for all the raw resources in the factory. Place the factory’s raw materials in the north or northeast if it contains a lot of liquids.
North West is the ideal direction for the placement of finished items, according to vastu for industries.
The Vayu tattva, or air element, energies are present in the northwest, also known as the Vayavya Koan.
This orientation ensures that a regular flow and movement of the final items is maintained since the quality of the air element is consistent flow.
Do’s Of Vastu For Factory
The important do’s of vastu for the factory are as follows:-
1. Pay close attention to the production area’s size and slope.
2. To increase profits for the company, locate the factory in the general compound’s west, south, or southwest zones.
3. Place the factory’s main gate or gates against the east or north wall.
4. Position the administrative office in the factory’s North or East zones.
5. Place the building where raw materials are stored in the East or South-East area. Put the finished goods storage facility in the north, west, or northwest zone.
6. Place a temple in the North Eastern section of the factory.
7. Position the maintenance shed in the compound’s South or South West areas.
8. Decide which area of the factory’s South East will house the heating systems.
9. You can position the toilet area in either a south or west (SSW) or west or north (WNW) direction.
10. Set up the equipment on the compound’s South, South-West, or South-East sides.
Don’ts Of Vastu For Factory
Make sure to keep in mind the don’ts of vastu for factory listed below:-
1. Avoid leaving the West and South sides of the compound empty, as this is a vastu flaw.
2. Avoid locating the maintenance shop in the compound’s North East or Central areas.
3. Septic tanks and toilet areas should never be located in the northeast. It can contaminate the area’s positive energy.
4. Be careful not to place the vastu for factory machines in the complex’s northeast or northwest corners.
5. When putting the overhead water tanks in the plant, stay away from the northeastern area.
6. Keep debris away from the temple. This may intensify any negative energy present.
7. Avoid leaving trash around the factory area, especially in the northeast region of the property.
8. Avoid storing finished goods and raw materials in the same area.
9. Steer clear of setting up the heating apparatus in unexpected places. This may result in mishaps and equipment failure.
10. Be careful to avoid large parking cars in the area of the compound that faces northeast.
Additional Vastu For Factory Tips
Apart from these vastu tips, it would be best if you got a vastu consultant for factory advice on other factors to ensure that your factory has a productive vastu. The following are some of them:
1. Beam location and workstation/machinery placement.
2. The basement’s ideal placement location.
3. The ideal directions for window positioning.
4. Employee workstations should be strategically placed.
5. The stairway’s direction and orientation (clockwise or counterclockwise projection).
6. Appropriate location of additional equipment such as an air conditioner, a cooler, a microphone, and an audio system.
7. The best location for firefighting gear.
8. The kitchen or pantry layout, including the oven’s location.
9. Water station positioning and direction.
10. The administrative area’s location and orientation within the office.

rereading the game of thrones books yet again so i'm on the hunt for some game of thrones/a song of ice and fire/house of the dragon plots!
i am very flexible when it comes to whether the plots are centered on canon muses, original muses or a mix of both and i'm very happy to go along with the flow and conform to my writing partner's preferences.
i use this blog solely for plotting calls which is why it’s blank but i have over a decade of experience in the rpc! as a 25+ writer (she/her), i only interact with writers over the age of 19 so please be respectful of that limitation. in terms of requirements, i'm a big quality over quantity person so i'm always happy to modify my reply length based on my writing partner's preference but literacy is very important to me as i lose muse quickly if i feel like i'm not getting enough to work with for my replies. i spend most of my time on discord but if you like this post or message me, i can give you my handle <3

Importance Of Location In Real Estate
The significance of location in real estate purchases is consistently overstated. The location is what determines if an investment will be profitable, which is why. Location primarily stimulates consumer desire, which in turn stimulates demand and drives up prices.
A real estate agent’s common expression is always ‘location, location, and location’ when asked as to what a property should most importantly have. When compared to many other nations, India’s real estate industry is one that is diversified. Any buyer nowadays is presented with an overwhelming quantity of information when making a location decision, largely because it is becoming more customary to rely on technology for the task. In these situations, the buyer’s ability to select the ideal site depends on their ability to read between the lines and fully comprehend the information.
Why is location important when buying a house?
By the time a buyer is looking for a site to buy residential or commercial property, it is clear that he or she is prepared to part with a sizable sum of saved money. In order to make their real estate acquisition successful, purchasers must make the right location their final choice.
Whichever is the country of residence, many a time a buyer makes a decision based on the home that they are going purchase and not the area that it is located in? Once the purchase is made, the area will never change. This mistake can cost the buyer a lot.
If the buyer is looking for residential property, popular considerations include the neighborhood’s condition, its closeness to services and amenities, its access to water, its safety rating, its vistas, etc. Factors such as closeness to transport hubs, proximity to major highways, markets and warehouses, etc., have to be considered prior to purchase commercial property.
Both the property’s price and its location are crucial elements. In the end, the property’s location determines everything else. A property will sell for more money if it is located in a desirable area. The price of the identical property will be lower in a less desirable neighborhood. There will probably be more lucrative possibilities in the future, even though the buyer may wind up paying more for the house in a better area lower rents, and lower prices.
Several details regarding the property’s location should be noted. Finding out if there will be significant changes in that area or nearby ones is a smart idea. This would help avert a great deal of future purchase. It is wise to assess the property in the medium- to long-term and consider how the neighborhood is likely to change throughout that time.. In the next years, what may currently be a reasonably open plot of land could develop into a busy multiplex. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket; a safe neighborhood may not remain such in the future.
Any house acquisition should be supported by a carefully considered location plan. Paying attention to who is most likely to purchase your property in the future is a good idea.
if required. It is also important to make the home purchase in an area that is attractive to the millennial. It has been noted that more of them choose to buy homes than rent them.
The Importance of Location in Real Estate — Indian Scenario
It is true that in many Indian cities, speculation has contributed to price increases beyond what the majority of consumers can bear. But eventually the market will need to return to its fundamentals. Low interest rates and other incentives are among the various programmes the government has to provide.. This being the case, the excitement is back in the real estate market.
The real estate market here works on location viability. In the case of residential property, every major tier 1 city has corridors in which the investments are worthwhile. Infrastructure development and the historically high price rise in the area are the key drivers of real estate expansion.
Exponential growth in real estate inside cities such as Greater Noida and Delhi and other cities in Delhi has been unprecedented. Greater Noida attracts the highest prized investments because of its position as the IT hub of the country. The city has seen the rise in real estate investments as people have seen it as the route to the creation of wealth in the longer term Greater Noida and other cities are making a name as preferred real estate destinations because of their affordability and the massive size of the trained and educated workforce. The second factor is an important one as graduates from the top institutions are absorbed into the numerous IT companies that are present in Delhi and Greater Noida . This directly increases demand in the housing sector across different price ranges. These cities have micro markets which make great locations for real estate investments. Depending on the size and location, these could be the best investments.
Price adjustments have occurred in several locations as a result of the decline in speculators in the residential real estate market. So even if a location is expanding, it still makes sense to make investments there. Infrastructure accessibility and proximity to companies, retail centres, schools, and healthcare facilities are two factors that need to be considered in order to determine whether the investment will be profitable.
Conclusion:
If at all you are stuck at a point where it is difficult to evaluate a real estate property, the best thing for you would be is to go back to the basics. Take a deep look at the location. Most likely the problem will be solved right there.

as the world caves in | ch. 9 | bucky barnes x reader
Tumblr media
synopsis: You are a ghost story. A former Air Force pilot who had her plane shot down by Germany in 1945, but here you were in 2023, alive and frozen in your 25-year-old body.
You haven’t seen Bucky since the 1940’s, before his fall, before you went on a suicide mission only to come back alive. You aren’t sure reliving those memories – and being a living memory of everything the man has lost – is the best for him.
But you and Bucky won’t be apart for long.
This will loosely follow the plot of TFATWS - so spoilers ahead, specially regarding episode six (finale). Thread carefully!
masterlist | AO3
notes:  thank you everyone for your patience with this chapter. I'm dropping this lil shortie so we can get the story moving. Let's go! (warnings: lil' fluff, lil' angst) (word count: 3K) nine: records
Bucky knocked on your door a few weeks later.
It was late, and you were snug in your pajamas, winding down after a long day. With your identity no longer a secret, the government was in the midst of transferring you to something more… hands-on, and definitely less diplomatic, you were assuming; so much for retirement, but you figured 30 years of it had been more time than you could’ve anticipated.
You almost didn’t hear the soft rapping on wood over Vera Lynn’s mellow singing.
When you finally opened it, you found him standing there, wearing tired eyes and a dark coat. “I’m sorry, I know it’s late, but I started walking and I—"
“When I said you’re welcome anytime, Bucky Barnes, I meant any time.”
A tiny fraction of a smile was offered your way, and you grasped it tight against your heart at the same time you do his hand, pulling him inside.
His fingers lingered on yours, but before you could start thinking about it he pulled away, taking a seat at the edge of your couch. “I finished it. The book.”
Bucky answered your question before you could ask it. “I just came from there. The last one– the last name.”
“Well. Are you alright?” You sat next to him, your knee knocking against his, and his gaze went from the floor, to the spot where your legs touched, and then to you. He knitted his eyebrows, seeming a little incredulous you were even asking.
“I will be.” His hands intertwined on the space between his knees, and you placed a hand ton his shoulder, getting him to look at you again.
“Yes, you will. Do you want to talk about it?”
One corner of Bucky’s lip raised up, and he shook his head. “Is that Vera Lynn?”
You smiled, turning to look at your record player as if Vera herself was sitting next to it. “It is. Takes me back, I guess.”
“It’s all we’d listen to at the front.”
Nodding, you wondered for a second if Bucky remembered dancing to We’ll Meet Again the night before he was shipped off. Even if you weren’t the only girl he had danced with then, you still asked yourself if that memory was burned on his mind as it was on yours.
We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when. A short-term promise, made back then by hopeful lovers, friends, family members; you had no idea that those lyrics would prove themselves so literal when you and Bucky mouthed them at each other in the middle of a dancefloor.
You let out a breathy chuckle, standing up and beckoning him to where you kept the rest of your vinyl. “Come on. Vera’s starting to feel a little too nostalgic to me.”
Your record collection was pretty extensive, ranging from things of the good ol’ days from the special editions that were still being released nowadays. Bucky joined you on the floor, and together you started to make your way through decades eternized in discs.
“Marvin Gaye.”
You look up from The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust, finding Bucky making a face at the album he was holding. “It’s really good. Do you want to—”
“No. No more Marvin Gaye.”
You furrowed your eyebrows. “You don’t like him?”
“I like Marvin Gaye! Jesus. Marvin is good—Marvin’s jus’ fine,” Bucky rubbed his eyes with his thumb and middle finger, and you finally understood.
“Sam’s been preaching you the word of R&B to you too, huh?”
You giggled at the tired look he gave you and silently took Trouble Man out of his hands, stuffing it back with the rest of the 1970’s.
Years ago, Bucky would be delighted to dive headfirst in the new – your trips to countless science fairs and expositions were enough proof of that – but looking at him now, knowing him as you were starting to once again, you figured that just a dip of the toes was more than enough.
You pulled Frank Sinatra from the 1950’s section.
“I know Sinatra.”
“Do you now?”
You put the record on your player, and Vera Lynn’s longing gave way to Sinatra’s swagger and jazz.
“Do you?” Bucky teased, frowning at the most recent items in your collection. As soon as Frank’s voice filled the silence, he nodded. “Yeah, that’s nice.”
“I do know him! Or did. Met ‘im in 1962.” You plopped next to Bucky, who was shaking his head. “What?”
“Show off.”
“No, just been around. Met people on the way. And, you asked.” Your smirk grew into a grin as Bucky mouthed your words back at you. Then his face fell for a second, and your amusement was quickly replaced by worry. “What is it?”
“Nothing, I guess – I guess I just missed a lot.” The same way one of the corners of his lips tug on his cheek again in his attempt of a smile, melancholy tugs at your heartstrings. “I missed out on everything. And I missed out on you.”
Bucky’s head was low as he spoke and you could see the tremble of his hands, even though he clutched one of your records tightly. Nina Simone, 1960’s.
“M’not going anywhere, you know.”
“You still lived an entire lifetime—”
“I did, yes, thank you for constantly reminding me that I’m over 100 years old.” You shook your head at him, sighing softly when he chuckled.
You couldn’t blame him, for clinging to every bit of past he’d missed while he was in HYDRA’s clutches – you knew that was inevitable, but you wished that such sorrow wasn’t so related to you.
“What are you doin’?” He asked as you summoned a small stool from the side of your shelf and stepped on it.
“I want to show you somethin’.” The thing you were looking for was stored at the very top: a heavy, brown leather suitcase that almost made you lose your balance when you pulled it from the spot it had been sitting in for—honestly, years, many of them.
The contents of the suitcase rattled as you climbed down and sat next to Bucky again. Sinatra still playing, telling his lover I've got you under my skin, I've got you, deep in the heart of me;
You almost laughed from the truth and irony of it.
I'd tried so, not to give in
I said to myself this affair never will go so well
You unlocked the suitcase, revealing the gathered memories inside. Pictures, movie tickets, theater playbooks, receipts, trinkets. All souvenirs of the 80 something years of your life Bucky hadn’t been there to see.
Not organized in the slightest, the keepsakes of your life were tossed together and out of order just as in your memory: photographs of you in uniform, and sometimes in party dresses; of when you bought your house; of the few times you had pets. Posing next to famous people and other important ones whose names weren’t as well known by the world.
As you and Bucky went through each of them, you added a story or an explanation, sometimes both, to fill him in on the details of your life events. He laughed at some, frowned at a lot, stared at you intently for all of them.
“Is this Berlin?”
You hummed, nodding. “1989. That party was great.”
“Party?” Bucky knitted his eyebrows in surprise.
“The city was unified, the wall was being taken down, and everyone was celebrating. I’ve never seen that many bottles of vodka in one place.” You laughed, taking a good look at yourself in the picture.
The 80’s were definitely not your best decade, looks wise. You had tried a perm the year before, and the poodle look was only then starting to dial down. The beginnings of a bruise were starting to creep on your left eye, from the mission you had completed just a few hours before.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been that drunk.”
Bucky’s surprise intensified, his eyes wide. “We can’t get drunk.”
“Yes we can.”
“No, no we can’t.”
“We can, in fact. It’s all a matter of quantity and, well, speed.” You giggled as Bucky’s mouth gaped more.
“And the hangover?”
“Horrible. Like getting shot on the forehead. Comes quickly, too.”
He grimaced, and with one last look – certainly to register your peculiar appearance on his mind – gently put the picture back inside the suitcase. A stack of papers seemed to call out to him and he picked it up, releasing them from the band that held them together carefully.
Postcards of the places you’ve been: a small note to James Barnes and Steve Rogers on the back of each one.
Bucky’s voice faltered. He let out an anguished little sound, probably something that was supposed to be an Oh, or a What, but had no strength to crawl up his throat.
You brought your knees to your chest as you waited for him.
“You—you wrote to us?”
“I did. You can keep those, they’re addressed to you.”
After all this time, you could barely remember the words you wrote in those postcards; all you knew was that some had longer messages, others a simple Wish you were here.
“After we met in Baltimore, I thought that— that you’d have moved on from us.”
From me.
As if that was possible.
“Well, I stopped writing by 2003, give or take. But really,” You sighed. “It’s hard to forget someone when you’ve always been expecting them to come back to you.”
Bucky flipped the postcard from Rome, read the writing and smiled wistfully at it. “And, I did.”
“You did. And staying away was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but—”
“But you’re annoyingly stubborn.” His jaw tightened, then relaxed when he smirked. “I mean, I get it – If the roles were reversed, I’d leave you rebuild your life without me like a self-sacrificing idiot too.”
Alright. That was fair.
Shaking your head, you watched as he slipped the postcards in his pocket, an amused expression on his face.
“That was… a big mistake. Something a self-sacrificing idiot would do,” You screwed your eyes shut in shame, opening them when Bucky chuckled. “but now, I’m right here. And so are you.”
His stubble scratched the soft skin of your palm when you reached for him, and you continued. “We’re a little out of place in this century, that much is true, but if I’m being honest… I’m getting tired of yearning for the past, Buck.”
Good old times – sometimes really good, sometimes bad, every one of them old – tucked away in your heart like your records were tucked in neatly in their shelf, organized by year. As you went through the decades, your enhanced body eternizing you like marble, your heart seemingly stayed at that army camp overseas. Or maybe Sergeant Bucky Barnes had taken it with him, only for them to be frozen together, leaving you with an empty hole in your chest.
You lived your life longing for that missing piece, the one with blue eyes and the dashing smile and the skilled feet.
The one that in many other stories was the one that got away, the one who now believed he was somebody else, but had brought your heart back with him all the same.
The very heart that nearly leapt out of your chest when Bucky rested his forehead against yours.
You’ve never been this close – there isn’t an ounce of past in the gesture. His eyes being tightly closed kept him from seeing the surprise on your eyes and then how they fell to his lips for a millisecond. Then, those lips brushed against yours in a featherlike touch.
I would sacrifice anything, come what might
For the sake of having you near
He pried himself off you when you exhaled, as if your very breath had electrocuted him.
“M’sorry. I—I didn’t—” He said as you stared at the back of his neck, and the shock gives way to disappointment.
I didn’t mean to. Or maybe: I didn’t want to.
“That’s—it’s okay.” You clapped your hands on your knees, still feeling the prickle of his facial hair on them, and got up to change the music.
There was no doubt Bucky was touch starved, and that he probably craved the closeness that comes with a lover. He sought that for a fleeting second in Sam’s sister, and now in you. No point in dwelling on what it might have meant.
Right?
Looking at Bucky, his expression was overcast, furrowed eyebrows as he watched you from his spot on the floor. You offered him a gentle smile, and the crease on his forehead eased up slightly.
Right.
Don't you know little fool, you never can win
The record player made a scratching sound as you replaced Frank Sinatra with your go-to jazz compilation. Instrumental.
No lyrics.
There was one thing you’ve always been good at, regarding the infatuation with Bucky Barnes that has taken over your heart for almost a century now: locking the feelings away and stepping into the shoes of the best friend.
Besides, you’ve said it yourself: no more yearning for the past. Hopefully you and Bucky would be able to do that soon enough.
At that moment, however, you needed to feel the burn of whiskey down your throat and pretend it’ll heal the calcinating rejection spreading through your chest.
The guilt you found in Bucky’s eyes as he watched you sweep around your hardwood floors made you pour a glass for him.
He took it gratefully, frowning when you bottomed the whole thing up.
“There’s a lot in here.” He tapped the edge of the suitcase, skillfully steering the conversation in the direction of the more palatable, calm territory it was in before.
The sight of your autobiographical collection made you smile.
“An entire lifetime,” You said, fishing your dog tags from the bottom. “I suppose that’s where it started. Or at least, where thisstarted.”
Bucky took them reverentially, running his thumb over the imprint of your name and numbers.
He reached for his neck, producing from under his Henley the same type of metal chain he was holding in his hands. The fact that he still wore his like that sent a sharp blow to your lungs, almost knocking the air out of you.
His face softened, a smile so beautiful spreading across his lips, so much that your chest clenched in protest because it was simply not fair, how he still had you entirely.
He deposited both of your dog tags in your hands, and that’s when you saw it, and remembered it.
“Won’t we get in trouble for this?”
“Do you care?”
“Well…No.” You sighed, already resigned. And a little excited.
Bucky knew you well: it had been too long of being a good little soldier when all you were used to was the rush of being a hellion.
“And that is why, sugar, that I’m doing this with you, and not with Steve.”
The words made your heart soar, but you were sure to recapture it before it could fly away too high, still too attached to the sensation of the take-off to clip its wings.
You liked flying.
“And because Steve hasn’t been successful in his enlisting efforts. Yet.”
Bucky looked at you from behind his eyebrows, a reprimand hiding in his eyes, but he decided to shove his uniform hat on your head instead. You grumbled, calling him a jerk under your breath.
It was the night before Bucky was drafted to England. He looked handsome in his uniform, a shining, polished star, brighter than the sun even under the dim streetlight you two stood under.
After bringing his and Steve’s dates home (yours was lost to another boxing match along the way – not that you were crying about that) Bucky had decided he was going to stay up all night, because, in his words, he could sleep when the war was over. Or, more realistically, in the ship on the way to England.
So there you two were, illuminated by street lamps and moonlight, visiting the façades and front windows of your favorite places in Brooklyn like drifters in the night.
Bucky still concentrated on his task, his shoulder hunched slightly to block your sight.
“Let me see! Bucky!”
“ ’Sposed to be a surprise! I’m almost done.”
You huffed, crossing your arms. “It’s not like I haven’t seen ‘em before.”
“You gotta be more patient. Here.”
He dropped your dog tags on your hand. You displayed the small steel plates on your palm, scanning your eyes over the two. One of them, of course, had your name, number, blood type, next of kin – an aunt you’ve never met – and address.
The other had Bucky’s.
James B Barnes. 32557038.
He slipped his own chain over his head, the plate with your name clinking against his.
You brought the tips of your fingers to your lips, feeling a smile begin to form onto them.
“I forgot we did this. I haven’t looked at these in so long.”
You had stopped wearing your dog tags the day the war had ended – Bucky was gone then, Steve too, and the weight of his dog tags slamming against your chest was too much to bear – your heart was already heavy with its own engraving of their memories.
“Steve had a lecture prepared when he gave mine back.” Bucky chuckled when you looked up at him, incredulous.
You shook your head, half exasperated and half amused. “Good grief, Steve.”
“Y’know how he is. Was,” He trailed, lips twitching as they formed a thin line.
You reached for him, your hand hovering in the space between you for a second before Bucky took it, lacing your fingers. Scooting closer, you let your cheek rest on his shoulder.
“He’d be glad we’re reunited.” You said, raising your head to peek at him and the newfound upwards curl of his lip. “And mortified we’re still bickering.”
Bucky smiled and squeezed your hand. “Old people. Old habits.”
Laughter bubbled out of your chest, and you realized a few things.
In that moment, it didn’t matter – the heartache, the unrequited side of your love. It was just a fact, a fact of life, of your life, that you a lot of the times loved him as more than your best friend. You loved him. And that was the core of it, the most important fact.
And you knew he loved you – you had each other – in this big, ever-changing, modern world, you had Bucky and Bucky had you.
You sat in comfortable, familiar silence until your eyelids grew heavy and you felt yourself drifting in and out of consciousness.
“You dozin’ on me, sugar?”
“It’s been a long day.” You said with your eyes still closed, feeling him chuckle beside you.
“Tell me about it. I can go—”
“You know damn well you should stay.” You patted his arm and hoisted yourself up from the floor. “I’ll get the pull-up ready for you.”
As you sauntered towards the office, ignoring his pleads and protests that he’s got it, he doesn’t need sheets or anything, you put your dog tags back on.
They jingled lightly against your heart.
Maybe you didn’t have to leave all of the past behind to start building something good and new, after all.
