"Standard Rosół" recipe from interwar Poland (1925)

Standard Rosół

2.5 liters water, 20 decagrams vegetables*, 1 kilogram beef with bones (taken from lower grade pieces from the front part of the animal), 5 decagrams liver, 2.5 decagrams butter.

Rinsed meat is cut into small pieces and placed in the water, adding vegetables* after boiling; part of the vegetables should be omitted and cut into strips, stew these in butter with the liver and add to the cooking broth one hour after boiling; add salt 1.5 hours after boiling. Simmer for 2-3 hours from the moment of starting.

*włoszczyzna, literally "Italian stuff", is a mix of vegetables from which stock can be made. This modern recipe uses carrots, parsley roots, celery roots, and leek (which is similar to what my mom uses).

2.5 liters is about 10.5 cups, 20 decagrams is 200 grams or ~ 7 ounces, 1 kg is ~2.2 lbs, 5 decagrams is 50 grams or ~1.8 ounces, 2.5 decagrams is 25 grams or ~0.9 ounces.

I'm incommunicado.

Can't receive asks since the message thing of my blog died.

Can't reply to my own post.

It's been 1 month. I don't hsve followers or they are bots probably, because I only got two since December. Just the secondary blogs had this rush of bots following.

Don't know if the people I use to casually chat know that I don't have this feature.

Aparently, I can't send asks either. Or I'm probably with this "pissed by the tumblr Gods energy" that no one wants to reply to me, or even tag me.

It seems they are trying to smother this blog slowly and casually. Like being a drunk on the floor and they put a gigant sing upon my body that says: Don't bother, she likes being like this and probably will bite you if you help her. And are waiting for me to just stop breathing or chocke on my own vomit.

So let it die, let it rot. I hope this isn't a sign of this side of the fandom also dying and moving on with other things. I still and adict of all the art and shenanigans this fandom still has in it even if the show ended almost 3 years ago.

Personally, I still want this to be a blog for Castiel and Misha, even if it's like 100% Destiel and Cockles since 2020. I'm really looking forward for the GK thing.

But if I've been forced to evacuate here, and begin from the 200 followers on my other blogs of personal endeavors, I should leave now.

I've been sending a request to fix this to tumblr help once a week. Not even a mail in response or acknowledge of my existence so far.

From my 6 years of experience here, I think I'm far from relevant or desirable as an user, even if I purchase stuff, pay for the no ads thing. I assume that a single person from Bolivia does not mean a demographic they want to keep, and the amount of followers it has does not count as significant, neither this blog as a part of those 6 years in the tumblr ecosystem. Because of the mass migration from Twitter, I assume, that are overwhelming their servers. Loosing me it's probably a lint in their corporate belly buttons.

Funny thing is I try to convince me that this blog matters. Even if many other people leave this site deactivating their blogs and leaving a big hole in the fandom in my opinion. But me, just fading away, or tumblr just expecting I give up leave and forget this blog, so they magically solve the thing once I migrate to another user or platform. Isn't really a big deal in the great scheme of things. I don't think anyone will notice my disappearance. I'm no legacy or important blog.

In the mean girls universe, before the let's point the blogs that gaslight us to believe that OF COURSE DESTIEL WILL HAPPEN IN THE END, how you DARE to not trust us META minds that know Dabb is our personal Jesus Christ and savior. At first I hang out with with them, but then I renegate and became the usual Cas Stan that got the "Bitter" tittle because I knew they will not have the Cojones to make Destiel actually happen on the screen as a real and indiscutible situation, like a kiss or an open declaration of love that had to go BOTH WAYS.

So, my importance here is minimal. Other blogs where more active and spoke about this inner bullying in on our Heller community. How being a Clown that got many questions and wasn't that happy after watching Castiel go to Superhell and Dean just staying there looking sad, but didn't say anything at all, wasn't the promise land they preach.

I will always protest about the awful way Misha was used to bait his fan base to watch the worse two episodes in human TV history of that finale just hoping he'll be there... eventually (I was that fool, and I waited, and I waited, and I watched... THE HORROR 😱).

Anyways, because I know this post probably will go to tumblr hell like Castiel. And be there in the empty of promises and things we prefer to believe to not loose or Collective Clown minds when Jackles has the time and has the 133563323th question about that scene that confirms that Dean was being a Bro and Cas was being a Bro and all the thing was just in our heads and Cas never said I love you, or he said it but it was more like a: BRO, I LOVE YOU, BRUH.

I'll try to reach the Server Gods, plead for my oxygen and pray for the cause of this punishment not being just another antiheller pro Jarpiss that got all the time in the world, or enough friends to ask for my reporting as whatever they could just to put me in this position.

I rather want to believe this is like a rite of passage. For what I recall, many blogs of people who I love and enjoy had a temporal deactivation or this kind of things once or twice in their history. So, that gives me hope to think, opposite of what I explained earlier in this gigant mental fart of existence and relevance on the tumblresphere, I'm probably and finally being initiated in the ancient ways of torture to became and actual real blog in its own right.

Lemon Rice, Baked Chipotle Beans with Tofu, with Salsa (Fisch Style)

Ingredients for 4 servings, adjust as necessary Important! If you don't have canned chipotle beans, use: - 200g of canned and drained black or kidney beans - 1 generous tablespoon of tomato paste - either some chipotle paste or, if you have access to those, 1-2 whole chipotles - alternatively, you can use some jalapenos and some smoke salt or a few drops of liquid smoke

Mix the beans, the tomato paste, the chipotle paste or the alternative options together and either use a blender or a blending stick to blend them into a smooth homogenous paste. If it sticks to your blender too much, add a bit of water or ketchup, set aside until needed. If you have canned chipotle beans or have prepared them as described above, continue with the other ingredients: - 2 cups of rice - 2 cups of water - 1 lemon - 1 cup / 200g of plain yoghurt of choice - 4 large tomatoes - 2 large red bell peppers or 3-4 pointy peppers - 1 avocado - 1 cucumber - 2 small or 1 large brown or red onions - garlic (no measurements given because in this house we answer the question of 'how much garlic?' with YES) - half a block of smoked tofu - some oil for frying (I prefer rapeseed), more oil for the salad - some red wine vinegar or apple vinegar - salt, pepper, sugar, a bay leaf - dried oregano, rosemary and tarragon (or fresh if you have), ancho chilli - 1 can / 200 g of chipotle beans

1. Pour rice into a pot, bring the water to a boil either with the rice on the stovetop or with a kettle and pour it on rice. Add a pinch of salt, pepper and the bay leaf. Put lid on the pot and turn off the heat, let rice soak up hot water. 2. Meanwhile, peel the onions and garlic and cut them into fine slices. Cut the tofu block into thin sticks, ca 5 mm wide. Bring oil to medium high heat in a large pan and first add tofu. Push it around a little to keep it from sticking. Once tofu begins to brown, add half the onion and garlic and let it slightly brown as well. Add the chipotle beans and heat up the mix while stirring a few times to keep it from sticking to the bottom of the pan. 3. Cut the cucumber, tomatoes and red bell pepper into small cubes (5mm-1cm in size), transfer to a large bowl. Add the remaining half of the onion and garlic. Cut the lemon in halves and squeeze the juice of one half over the veggies in the bowl. Add the vinegar and a little bit of oil, the herbs, salt, pepper and sugar to taste. Stir until mixed well. 4. Squeeze the remaining half of the lemon's juice over the rice, remove the bay leaf and add the yoghurt of choice. Stir until well combined. 5. Cut up the avocado, remove the stone and cut into slices according to taste. 6. Prepare by dividing up the rice and chipotle-tofu-beans to 4 large bowls or medium size plates with rice on one side and beans on the other. Add salad/salsa (I really need to learn the difference) and decorate with avocado slices. Enjoy! Addition: you can mix up the ingredients as you like. I think black olives would be a great addition, as would sunflower seeds or some nuts be. You could also add crumbled or diced feta or fry some sliced or diced halloumi and add it. Or maybe make an omelette and cut it into strips. Most important is, have fun and prepare something to eat that you enjoy. Addition's addition: If you realise you made more than you can eat in one meal, even if you changed the measurements, no worries. The salad and rice can be combined to a rice-salad and stored in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days. I would keep the bean paste separate though, because it gets too soggy if stored in the same container as the salad. However, if you give it a slightly more viscous texture (by adding water or ketchup), I imagine it would be a nice spread on some breakfast bread.

Jeg så en video på @vegancuts med et glutenfrit risbrød. Kun lavet på ris, vand, olie, salt, sukker og gær. Intet fiberhusk/loppefrøskaller i. Wow! Det skulle jeg prøve at lave... Det smager skønt! Her er opskriften på dansk: Glutenfrit hvidt risbrød Til en 2 liters form Ingredienser 420 gram grødris (skal være korte ris!) 250 ml vand 3 spsk olie 1 tsk himalayasalt 2 spsk sukker eller sirup 2 1/4 tsk tørgær (jeg vil tro 2 tsk virker fint) Sådan gør du: Risene skylles i tre sæt vand, så der intet hvidt stivelse er tilbage i vandet. Hæld koldt vand i og lad det stå i to timer. Hæld vandet fra, Hæld risene i en højhastighedsblender. Hæld resten af ingredienserne i undtagen tørgær. Blend til det er fint blendet. Hæld tørgæren i undervejs. Blandingen får ca 40 °C. Hæld herefter dejen i en smurt to liters form eller en form foret med bagepapir. Tænd ovnlyset i ovnen og sæt formen derind. Lad dejen hæve til dobbelt størrelse. Tag formen ud. Sæt ovnen på 190-200 grader. Sæt formen ind og bag i 35-40 minutter. Sæt en bagefast skål med vand i ovnen, da skorpen kan blive tør. Når brødet er bagt og lyder hult, tag det ud ad formen og lad det køle af, inden du skærer i det. Smager bedst samme dag, men kan holde sig i køleskabet og ristes dagene efter.
