Singapore Sling Mocktail

1 serving

A Singapore Sling is a popular cocktail made with gin, cherry liqueur, Cointreau, Benedictine, Pineapple juice and lime juice.  It was invented by a bartender in Singapore around 1915.

This mocktail is made of Cherry 7up, ginger ale, pineapple juice, grenadine and crushed ice.

Ingredients

½ cup cherry 7up

¼ cup ginger ale

1/8 cup pineapple juice

1 tablespoon grenadine

Crushed ice

Directions

Place the ingredients into a large glass and mix well.  Enjoy.

Note

This mocktail has no alcohol in it so it can be served to pregnant women, designated drivers and those who don’t want alcoholic drinks.

Adjust the sweetness to your taste.  If you want the drink more tangy add some lemon juice or lime juice.

First edition of Ulysses S Grant’s memoirs.

I had the opportunity to attend the Grant cottage bicentennial fundraiser gala, and it was fantastic. Part of the event was a silent auction which is how I came to own these.

If you ever get the chance to drive up and see the cottage you should. It’s a wonder experience.

I tried the Canada Dry Fruit Splash Zero Sugar Cherry Ginger Ale soda and it was pretty good.

This tasted like a lightly sweet Shirley temple cherry drink and the cherry didn't taste medicine like.

The Canada Dry Zero Sugar Ginger Ale doesn't have a small spicy burn like Vernors Zero Sugar Ginger Soda.

This soda was smooth and fizzy in texture.

This was lightly sweet with a light cherry taste with the ginger ale flavor at the end.

I would drink this again and mix it with other sodas or juices.

Got at Kroger.

I mixed this with the Kroger Diet Cola caffeine free and it was pretty good.

This tasted like a light cherry cola but I wish it had caffeine to elevate the flavor a little.

This mix was smooth while lightly fizzy in texture.

This was lightly sweet.

I would drink this again.

I mixed this with the Old Orchard Healthy Balance Mango Tangerine Juice and it was pretty good.

This tasted like a mixed fruit punch taste.
