So I found this spider under the bench in a rather unusual position and have been having trouble identifying them. Found in rural Tennessee.
Current theory is Brown Widow or some kind of orb weaver.
She's a cobweb spider in Theridiidae which does include brown widows but this friend is not that! She appears to be a common house spider, Parasteatoda tepidariorum.

The Spiders in Your House - the Common House Spider
The gags at 9:49 and 11:37 caught me completely offguard.

I want to make a Spidey-sona so bad!
But I'm English, we have no cool or unique looking spiders and everything I could've used have already been used by Spider-Punk!
Why is the UK so boring?!

It is horrifically windy today, and whatever system is moving through has been bad enough to give me a pressure headache. Plus my partner has to make an unexpected trip to help is dad following some family drama. He's been house sitting all week and was supposed to come home tomorrow morning, but now we don't know when he'll be home. Not only do I miss his company, but last night I had to kill a black widow spider all by myself (beat it to death with a large shovel while shrieking hysterically, you should all be very proud) which I would not have had to do if he were home!
Anyways I'm a grumpy little goblin this afternoon and am looking forward to going home.

@moth-queer submitted: This little spider has found a home in my windowsill, amongst my plants. I'm in western Washington, any clue what type of spider this is?
I can tell you it looks like a cobweb spider in the family Theridiidae, but I'd need to see the other side to tell you which genus or species for sure. Potentially a common house spider, Parasteatoda tepidariorum.

Please tell me about the bugs in your area
Oh hohoo, *cracks knuckles* alrighty then
Ok SO
I guess I'll tell you about some of my favorite interactions with the lovely bugs in my area, starting with my sweet sweet babies, wasps.
Specifically paper wasps. It's a pretty common occurrence for me to "feed" the ones we get around here lol. On really hot days I'll leave chopped up slices of orange out there for them. One time I was sitting on the back porch on a scorcher of a day, and this poor little fella was very obviously having a rough go of it. He ended up flying over to the orange slice I left out and enjoying it lol. It kept going to fly away but then it would stop and come back. Twas very cute. I love the little things so much, they aren't very aggressive unless provoked. Just be sure to know your wasps bc they can and will sting!!!! (They aren't as aggressive as other wasps, but they are still wasps, so watch out lol)
One time it started pouring down raining all of a sudden, and this little fella got caught in it. Wasps can't fly once they get fully wet, so he was trying to dry his wings off, but the rain was just coming down too strong. This was before I had many interactions with them so I was still a bit nervous considering it was a wasp, but I felt so bad for the poor thing, so I picked up a big leaf (so I wouldn't have to put my hand too close lol) and held it over it, so the rain wouldn't get on it and give it a chance to dry it's wings. It did and after about a minute, it was good to go and quickly flew off :)
there's so many more bug stories but I've made this a very long answer as it is lol

i keep seeing yellow sac spiders on lists of spiders that are ‘dangerous’, literally right under brown recluses and black widows and im like. uhhhh no. they are more comparable to the bite of a wolf spider or a cobweb spider (if even THAT. more like a bee sting?) than a fucking brown recluse omg. maybe the reason youre getting a 4 inch necrotic welt on your leg from a yellow sac spider bite is because youre not treating it and youre itching it with your dirty fucking nails (trust me ive been there and its totally from introducing foreign bacteria to what amounts to a puncture wound into your body :) )
