Someone recently called Sesame autism creature and you know what. Yeah.
[id: Sesame, the yearling corn snake. He is orange and red patterned, with big orange eyes, and he’s laying in his cork tube]

I've been listening to videos about snakes lately so I wanted to draw a cornsnake. If I ever got a snake, it'd be a hypoberry snow cornsnake. Basically a magical girl snake. So gorgeous.

Snakeblr, I need your help
Long story short, Manuka, one of my baby corn snakes, escaped his tank two nights ago. I've sealed off my room as best I can and made sure it's the warmest room in the house, though my closet and bathroom are close enough and warm enough that those are also easily accessible. I've torn all three rooms apart several times a day since I realized Manuka was missing from his tank. However, he is a smol baby--recent measuring puts him at about 16", and about as big around as a pencil. And he is a pro at hiding in his tank, so I can only imagine how many hiding spaces he can find in the big wide world of my house. I've got warm hiding spots out, water, etc, and this weekend is feeding time so I'm hoping he'll be hungry enough to emerge for a mouse.
I have two cats and I have no doubt that if either one came across a snake, the snake would be dead in seconds. I have not seen or heard evidence of a baby snake murder, but that might not mean anything. I am trying not to think about that. The cats have been shut out of my room since I confirmed Manuka's escape.
I guess I'm just wondering...how many people have lost their snakes and actually found them? Especially one this small? What proved to be the trick that worked for you to find them? What sorts of places did they finally end up to be found?
I am absolutely beside myself here. Manuka and Gintaras were obtained after I recently lost my 19-year-old Noodle so to lose Manuka like this is not something I can handle right now.

Can't remember if I've posted about this before.
This is my sweet angel baby Whisper! She is a corn snake! Her morph is cinder something, and when you're holding her in natural light she looks purple! It doesn't really come thru in the photos because her heat lamp there washes out her colors. The bridge she's on, my wife made that! She's crafty! She carved it all out individually because she wasn't super sure how to make forms to match the texture she wanted!

Corn snake exhibit at the Greensboro science center! There was a normal and a snow in there (I’m assuming they were a rescue situation).
When I took a last lap around the indoor portions of the center before leaving a keeper had put a pompom in the cage? Unsure if it was just for texture / touch enrichment or if it was scented or had food hidden in it but it was interesting! No keeper or docent in the room I could ask tho.
They were much more active with the pompom in there too!
