not my usual stuff but it needs to be said
the fact that Cellbit had to expose himself in so many different ways to get people to fuck off is not okay. Nobody should have to do that, ever. As somebody who is asexual myself and had a traumatic relationship a few years ago, I can’t even begin to comprehend what Cellbit is going through right now, having to share everything to the internet is a nightmare come true for him. and I am so fucking proud of the guy for being himself and sharing all of that, even though he shouldn’t have to. He handled it very maturely and I have immense respect for him because of it. Everyone from qsmp who has talked about meeting him irl has said what a sweet person he is, stop trying to vilify somebody because of where they’re from. It’s fucked up.
The xenophobia in the community is getting worse, and it needs to stop here. I don’t care where you’re from or who you are, we’re all people no matter where we’re born or what language we speak. Being a xenophobic piece of shit is exactly the opposite of what Quackity wanted for qsmp. Brazilians, we love you guys so much <3
we’re here to build people up and encourage learning and communication across cultures. Without discrimination of any kind. If you can’t do that, get out of the fanbase. If you can’t be a decent person we don’t want you here. We’re all people, and we all deserve respect as such. Fuck your prejudice and xenophobia :)

Can I hear more about Villain Thornclaw? The way you described him is a really cool take on his character.
He exudes a sense of detached ruthlessness, something happened and he just never got over it, most of the time he is a model warrior, but sometimes he says something or gives a cold look, and that hints just how much he is willing to do for his beliefs
The first warrior that Firestar named becomes his most insidious enemy.
He was too young to clearly remember Clawface snatching him and his little sister, but he does remember the way it became an early fixation. His favorite games were always reenactments and play fights, and his father Lionheart and kidnapper Clawface would be characters in them. He often would go too far and play rough, actually biting or scratching his playmate.
We, in the real world, may recognize this as a way kids often process trauma. But they don't have cat therapy here.
And quickly these fixations became unsettling. Brightkit didn't like these games, and their older siblings were disturbed. Frostfur reacted strongly and tried to intervene, but it didn't help the way they wanted.
He got good at hiding it, and he got better at finding other ways to express his fixation. He never knew Lionheart, but he DID know Grandma Speckletail, and she would tell him all about the ways he could be like his dad. When you don't know a person, they can be anything you want them to be.
Turns out if you dress up "I'm obsessively xenophobic of foreign cats and want to rip them to shreds" as "I will ferociously avenge my father and uphold his legacy," suddenly you're golden! It's that simple!
(it's almost like clan culture didnt actually value peace or kindness and just encourages you to channel ur violence towards specific ends)
Thornkit went from Grandma Speckletail to Mentor Mousefur, and she continued to cultivate this. There's a time and a place for aggression. Be good to your clanmates. Use words in camp, not claws. She made a good soldier out of him.
When ThunderClan had a reckoning with Tigerclaw and his ideology in TPB, during his coup, the line of thought that went through Thornpaw and the cats like him was that Tigerclaw was the problem. Who could have known! A shock! Sickening!
...for a while they were "better," devastated by his betrayal, more openminded. But minds don't always trend towards progress.
Eventually, Thornclaw backslid. Let's not throw out the kitten with the tonguewash, here. Yes yes, Tigerclaw was a damn traitor and a hypocrite, but there's worse cats to look up to, you can't deny his nobility, that some of his ideas were great for ThunderClan, that there were lofty ideals he merely took from our grand and glorious history and we can return to those days...
What is so terrible about being a thistle? To lash back when you are attacked? To defend the meadow for you and yours?
We can have Tigerclaw's good aspects without the bad, surely?
And Firestar...
You must understand it's nothing personal. Firestar's a fine cat, for a kittypet. There is no hate for him. But we can't have a leader who stops ThunderClan from engaging in honorable combat. The Clan has become too mixed, and he punished him simply for expressing his concerns. What other choice is there? To do nothing as the clans are destroyed from the inside out?
Bluestar brought wildfire to the forest, to burn it to the ground. Firestar is Thornclaw's natural enemy-- and so is every cat like him.

Btw anyone using this situation to be like “this is why I hate the French”/“i hate to say it, but French moment” in my notes? You’re not funny, and your comment is getting deleted. My tolerance for hatred is at an all-time low. Your joke skills are exceeded by the 9 year old brownies I used to teach. Be better.

where the hell did the ocean xenophobia allegations come from exactly? the only things i can think of are where she says “i don’t know how it is in your culture” which is an example of her literally practicing cultural relativism and acknowledging that she may not understand different moral systems while explaining why the “game” they’re in is unusual for her (not to mention karnak is not human and not part of a human culture anyways) and then in some versions of the show she says “i like your turban” which…she’s just complimenting his turban. is it because she dislikes the french? is ocean francophobic? is there a line i missed somewhere? hello?

How bad was the xenophobia on Cybertron Transformers: Animated? Part 1
Rewatching the series, there's something I always wanted to talk about: The xenophobia on Cybertron and how the Cybertronians view organic life.
When we first met Optimus and his crew, they're more open-minded and tolerate towards organics. Not once did they show disgust or xenophobia to the humans.
Prowl, of course, is the one who's most fascinated by Earth and the lives there. He's amazed by the fact that nature, despite often being hurt by humans and their machines, has the will to fight back. He has a room with a tree with a giant hole in it, even when Optimus offered him to have another room, which Prowl refuse. He tends to meditate in the forest and enjoys watching the animals. Even though he's annoyed by how humans take their planet for granted, he doesn't hate them and wants them to notice the beauty of their home.
Optimus, in this version, had the unfortunate of running into giant alien spiders with Elita One getting left behind by unfair circumstances and being blamed for her death by Sentinel, despite it was Sentinel's idea to go that planet while knowing it was illegal. Although Optimus developed a fear of spiders, this fear did not extended to other organic lives, unlike Sentinel who became fearful and hateful towards organics. Optimus is willing to give up his life for an organic planet that he grew to see it as his home.
Ratchet is definitely a tsundere when it comes to Earth. Even though Ratchet had often act like he doesn't care about Earth and acted grumpy, he admits to Sari after she tried to sabotage the ship to keep the Autobots from leaving that he found himself becoming surprisedly attached to Earth and its people, especially her, telling her if anything ever happened to her in the hands of the Decepticons, he'll never forgive himself.
Bumblebee, along with the others, immediately became a celebrity on Earth, which he quickly liked. During his time on Earth, he gained a love for the video games, Internet, TV, theme parks, music, and racing. Out of the main Autobots, Bumblebee is the one who takes part in human events, such as wrestling and illegal racing. Bumblebee becomes so attached to human devices in the short time he has been on Earth that his circuits are going to fried from boredom if he ever leaves the comfort of civilization, which I kinda find it funny since I imagine what Bumblebee would have done if he and other Autobots had indeed left Earth and return to Cybertron without his favorite human activities.
Bulkhead have often be seen by humans as a destructive machine despite having a sensitive side, but that doesn't stop him from protecting them from harm. After accidentally destroying half of the city in The Headmaster, Sari suggest Bulkhead to create something instead of destroying, which led Bulkhead to become an artist. I gotta say, Bulkhead is a way better artist than me. Despite the short time he spend as an artist, Bulkhead had managed to have better art than me. Bulkhead also shows that he enjoys art and has been doing it off screen since that episode. I just find it to be a shame we don't get to see Bulkhead doing art more in the series.
Most importantly, the Autobots' relationship with Sari is perhaps the cutest thing in the series. When Bumblebee and Bulkhead first encounter Sari, they mistook her for a pet and offered her to find her owner, but they still didn't show disgust or hatred to her. After Bulkhead accidentally scared her and leading her to the giant mutant cockroach, the Autobots immediately took action while not knowing what exactly she is.
After Sari landed in his hands, Bumblebee clearly has no problem touching her and having a friendly conversation with her. Optimus himself also doesn't have a problem of touching Sari either and was more surprise when he found her in the ship than with the AllSpark. When Prowl was dying, the Autobots didn't mind her getting close to him, with Bumblebee even helping her up. After Prowl was healed by the new empowered AllSpark key, he didn't mind Sari was standing next to him. Ratchet himself was more surprise but he didn't show jealousy to Sari herself.
I really appreciate the series each time I watch again because of how accepting the Autobots are of Sari. They love her and are protective of her. I just adore whenever Sari's in danger, the Autobots immediately jump in to save her.
I also love how they're very respectful to Professor Sumdac, even though he's human. When the professor revealed that he's the one who rebuild Megatron, the Autobots were understandably not happy to hear that, but they still allow the man to help them. Although they would show doubts and assume that he was working for Megatron, they were proving wrong when Issac help them many times.
All in all, the main Autobots' attitude to organics is very interesting and how I took it for granted when I was a kid. I'm really glad that Optimus and the others didn't fall for xenophobia of their home planet and are able to get along with organic life.
That's all for now. I will be writing the the attitudes of the Autobots on Cybertron.

I hate how the only type of xenophobia that is ever talked about is xenophobia towards (pale-skinned) east and southeast Asians. While I agree that we should not make fun on what people eat and what their eyes look like I think we should also mention the rampant islamphobia SWANA people experience in the usa post-9/11, stop yelling slurs at Desi people and calling them "dirty" and talk about the way ACTUAL Caucasians are treated in Russia. Oh and also for the love of god you are not against xenophobia if you refer white people as Caucasians after learning the actual meaning behind that term.
NO YEAH YOU'RE 100% RIGHT. all of these are very real issues but islamophobia makes me so mad because it is so... Prevalent where i'm from... like do you really honestly think all muslims are just inherently violent extremists. HOW. what is Wrong with you.

[JUMP THE GUN] What biases does your muse hold that impact how they perceive the world or choose to take in new information? Do their personal blindspots and preconceptions lead them to errors in judgement?
Thought, learning and intellect headcanon asks for muses | Accepting!
Sparrow has some xenophobia in all verses excluding his Balverine verse. If a person does not appear fully human, or not human at all, he will be on guard and distrustful. He does not believe that Hobbes could have a sense of society or social structure, or that Balverines (excluding the kind that transform into human) could be anything more than a frenzied wolf. Even the ones that do transform, he believes that they can only pretend to be human for so long.
He purposely ignores how much of a hypocrite he is due to the fact that by his definition, he does not appear human.
Due to this, yes, he has had several errors of judgment. He's refused to do quests which led to the death of a person, or persons who otherwise could have been saved. He's directly caused the death of a couple people due to biases on how to spot balverines in human form (you can't).

This Xenophobe/Racist's dialog sounds like an undercover cop trying to sell drugs to randos on the street. In the 90s I'm sure it had more of an impact.
Anyway they tried to murder a man...
Tumblr media
And Andy lets them go... (because The White Triangle is a hate group that helped facilitate her placement in The Legionnaires among other things and she feels as though she owes them).
Tumblr media
Legionnaires #23
Then lied about them (through omission).
Doesn't set up the reader to sympathize with Andy very much so far and I don't think you're supposed to at this point. This is a story afterall where things evolve.
At least she asked if the man was okay.

Reading the Homestuck Epilogues 2 (parts 11-20)
Ayo this time its parts 11-20 lets go!!
Dave needs john to be way more specific than “you and karkat look cute together”, what a dumbass.
“You make cute friends” nevermind we have TWO (2) dumbasses.
Okay i will admit my bias for davekat is obvious here im sorry ill stop
Well if it makes you feel better dave im also very fucking in a mess about my own identity so
“Because jade” is such an apt fucking description.
JOHN YOU DO NOT FLIP A FUCKING COIN TO CHOOSE WHO YOU DATE W H A T
So this is off to a great start.
I cant even comment on part 12.
Oh no, what?
OH. OH NO. MOTHERFUCKER DONT DO IT.
THE HOE FUCKING DID IT. FUCK.
I’m sorry, they let Dave carry W h a t.
This is unsettling. Props to Dave and Roxy for heartfelt eulogies, but FUCK whatever gamzee’s up to.
Okay i caNNOT read his quirk, im sorry.
JOHN IM GONNA FUCKING STRANGLE YOU
Okay but as someone who 100% knows why dirk did what he did I fully endorse and support John slapping some pointy-shade-bastard’s ass into the fucking concrete. Dgmw i love dirk but. He has made several decisions that i happen to find “not-poggers”.
Oh, fuck. He lost them.
Getting hitched seems a bit too forward but ok
Catch the boquet or else is a red flag, folks.
John you’re right on the nose. I want jade to be happy with dave and kat but the way she’s doing it is. Forceful?
Oh. John and roxy did the. Oh.
Yeah uhm. I also. Really dont adore how davejadekat is going rn.
TEREZI IS THE LITERAL FUCKING BEST SHE’S SO SMART
John is losing it and honestly i dont blame him i would too
Jane. Baby. Sweetheart. N O.
Jane you are literally being so fucking xenophobic right now.
Jesus fucking christ gamzee. And jane. What the fuck.
I really do feel bad for jake. He’s like the butt of the meta joke all the time.
Okay but it concerns me that these kids arent even 30 and theyre thinking about kids? GUYS. YOU’RE YOUNG. CHILL OUT WITH THE CHILD REARING, GOOD LORD ABOVE.
Okay there is a corpse. Oh my god.
Also guys i know im davekat biased but it really is clear to me that out if everyone here they have the healthiest dynamic in that their only flaw is being in denial about there being a relationship. Like. Somethinf that can be fixed if theyre left alone by literally eveyrone else and their issues.
Oh we’re getting political
Yknow, part of why i like reading rn is because its escapism from really heavy issues? Yeah i uhm. Am struggling with part 20. But i love karkat and he is always right so.
Oh is this why davekat fell apart in candy
Why, Jane, don’t you know like calls to like? If you find yourself surrounded by clowns, that’s your own goddamn fault.
And that’s another reading sesh done folks! I’ll be honest I’m losing my goddamn mind. I’m genuinely worried about the fictional politics between these dumbasses and how theyre tearing this family apart. Where the fuck is Mr. Crocker and why is he not policing these kids??? Theyre CLEARLY in over their heads? God….
Okay i know i call them kids when theyre like three years older than i am but still.
Anyway thank you guys for joining me again i hope you had a laugh watching me rage over the homestuck caste being fucking idiots. I’ll see y’all next time in part 3! (Lmk if i should put any tags for y’all to be warned about i am a simple dumbass and cant catch everything)

How would you so Vindictive or spiteful in Clanmew?
Let's talk a little bit about the Clan Culture concepts of evil.
(Surprise Clanmew ask because today is Halloween! BOO!)
"Sin" translates directly into Clanmew. An action that incurs displeasure with StarClan is Nyaw. Not all sins are codebreaking, but breaking ANY part of the warrior code is a sin. There are cats who have been damned by StarClan for sinful behavior, without breaking a single part of the code.
There are 9 Great Sins (Arrarra Nyul Nyawchk) of Clan Culture, some more severe than others. It's also really important to note that there is a long history of Clan xenophobia; many of these sins did not equally protect outsiders, but it did unfairly bind them when interacting with Clan cats.
Arrarra Nyul = "Amount Amount Minus" = Nine... ish.
Arrarra Nyok Ul = "Amount Amount Minus Wholeness" = EXACTLY 9. Used extremely rarely; ESPECIALLY not by leaders in reference to their lives, which they are commanded to keep vague about in case StarClan did not give them a full set.
Nyawchk = Nyaw + -ochk suffix = Sin-est. The Most Sinnest. Great Sin.
The sins are,
Selfishness = Mwyrgna This is the evil of beasts; complete and utter self-concern. It's fear that causes a animal mother to eat her own young, it's the drive that causes a cuckoo chick to throw its siblings out of a nest, or the carelessness of a sheep that grazes ling into sward. It's cannibalism, fratricide, over-exploitation of a natural resource. It's a lack of care for anyone else but yourself.
Sadism = Yaonyyw This is the evil of humans; pleasure at one's ability to cause destruction. It's easy to confuse with pride, and yet, something Clan cats often overassign. It's what they believe humans feel when they take the claws off their kittypets, or what pleasure a twisted cat gets from eating prey that's still alive to be in pain. It's the closest thing to the English word for "evil."
Disproportionate Retribution = Sswrswa This is the evil of collateral damage. It's not quite "revenge," which is a neutral word in Clanmew. It comes from a corruption of Shredtail, who killed every piglet he could find with a speck of white and eventually sacrificed a clanmate to use as bait to lure his enemy, Deadfrost. It's involving innocent people in a quest for justice, or doling out more payback than what would constitute justice. It's "going overboard."
Idleness = Nyaarn This is the evil of hesitation. What that means is, if a Clan cat sees something bad about to happen, they believe it is a sin to do nothing about it. Even before the addition of Darkstar's Commandment, if a kitten was in danger, it was evil to simply watch them suffer. It applied equally to a warrior of another Clan who was obviously overwhelmed by a wild animal, or leaving a dying animal in pain. The "bystander effect" is seen as a type of sinful Dark Forest influence, which must be broken as if it was a curse. The English idiom, "Idle hands are the devil's plaything," has a parallel in Clanmew; "Kach urrWrrah maobeh mwrrSarrshik." "A demon has sheathed your claws."
Blasphemy = Shaikeoch The evil of insulting the stars. To speak poorly of, or to disrespect StarClan in some way. While not part of the code, this is a particularly egregious sin at times through history and culture. Also gets used as a way to phrase "offense against faith," which is specifically to destroy someone's belief in StarClan's righteousness or existence. (If Mothwing had been able to confide in someone that Hawkfrost had done this to her, the Clan would consider it on the same level as harassment.) This sin in particular is debated a lot in the Fire Era and beyond, as Clan xenophobia was a recurring part of the zeitgeist and cats of different faiths made their marks on history.
Waste = Bleel The evil of, well... waste. It's about improperly using land or resources like an invasive species, killing too much and allowing the lives of prey to be taken in vain, or even preventing the proper use of a material. (for example, RiverClan and ThunderClan argue that the other is wasting Sunningrocks, because RC doesn't use it to hunt, and TC doesn't use it to bask)
Theft = Geesharro The evil of ill-gotten gains. Yes, this applies to taking physical property from an individual, but there is an important social quirk at play. Post-Ripple Era, a Clan's Star owns all the territory of their Clan. Before then, the Elders (as soon-to-be StarClan warriors) owned it. In either case, a warrior does not technically own what exists on their Clan's territory. To DISHONORABLY take from one territory to give to another Clan, or to not righteously win your spoils, is a sin.
Disrespect = Nagarrl The evil of denying what is owed. When you make a vow, you owe your words honor. The warriors of other Clans still uphold the code, and thus deserve respect. Elders have a right to be protected after their long lives of service. The world deserves the truth, so a lie is a sin of denial. This is the opposite of Kurruar, 'honor,' but Nagarrl has more of a connotation of intentional, knowing denial.
Vulgarity = Mlarni The evil of being a jerk, really. In mortal life, it applies simply to conduct. Being rude, not reciprocating favors, doing the bare minimum on your tasks, the more grounded type of "selfishness" as opposed to Mwyrgna. It also applies to forcing your Nyams to "lose face" through association with you and your bad reputation, or threaten Clan cohesion. StarClan has completely used this in the past to damn people based on bad vibes, when they're enraged into being unreasonable. The opposite of Ualhe, 'nobility,' but like Nagarrl above has a connotation of doing it purposefully.
Each Clan regards each evil in a slightly different way. For example, WindClan believes that blasphemy is a higher sin than ThunderClan does, and no one takes the avoidance of waste as seriously as ShadowClan, who has developed ingenious ways to preserve and season practically any kind of meat.
ALL of these sins can be misused and abused as a form of social control, especially against cats that have particularly strong religious or pro-social convictions. As concepts, they are subjective, and evolve through debate and personal interpretation through the years.
With the introduction of the Leader's Rights at the end of the Ripple Era, which made the word of a leader law, a Clan's star suddenly had the authority to enforce morality as they saw fit. Several tyrant leaders used this rule maliciously to punish sins that were not codebreaking. This law was only repealed in the Modern Era.
Combine these with this suffix guide for attributes to describe whatever sinful behavior in whichever severity you need!

How bad was the xenophobia on Cybertron Transformers: Animated? Part 2
Okay, from the first post, I've talked about the acceptance and open-mindedness of Team Prime. Now, let's talk about the other Autobots' attitude to organics. From what we have seen, the other Autobots either appear to be xenophobic, fascinated, curious, or indifferent to organic life.
The Cybertronian laws seems to have been around for a long time. It's never outright started, but I do believe these laws have been there even before the war began.
Sentinel is obviously the most xenophobic Autobot in the entire series. Well, I can understand that this fear came from losing Elita One, but that doesn't justified the fact he forced his fear and hatred on other Autobots. He spread his xenophobia throughout Cybertron when he became acting Magnus. Sentinel never bother to open himself up to Earth and learn to a little bit about the inhabitants. He constantly disrespect the human characters and is even weirded out by the weather while Team Prime tries to help him out during his visits. Sadly, Sentinel just hates Earth. He's also disgusted by techno-organics while ignoring the fact that a lot of them didn't have a say in their situations.
Jazz immediately became curious when he saw the humans. He even questioned Ultra Magnus if it was necessary to setup a force shield around their ship when they first arrived on Earth because he wanted to have a closer look. Even after Sentinel falsely told him how dangerous all organics are, Jazz was actually pretty gentle towards Sari upon meeting her and simply asks her to leave the ship. After the other members of Team Prime told him that Sari is harmless, Jazz even commons that humans have their own looks and styles (while touching her head), and that any species that can make a vehicle as sweet as his new vehicle mode can't be all bad. When he and Ultra Magnus found an AllSpark fragment on top of a train, Jazz openly told the human passengers that he and Ultra Magnus had it under control. He became amazed by ordinary things like traffic lights and rain, and even find it wild that humans invented something like video games. He also had no problem touching Fanzone when the man accidentally ended up on Cybertron.
Ultra Magnus had shown to have some xenophobia to organics, but doesn't appear to be on the same level as Sentinel, though it's still just as bad. He did ordered Jazz to put up a force shield around their ship and Sentinel to have Optimus and his crew to be decontaminated respectively. While he did showed some concernedness for a train that had a fragment that he and Jazz found, he didn't show much worriedness for humans on the train. After Starscream blasted him in the face, Ultra Magnus was saved by both Ratchet and Sari. However, we never know if Ultra Magnus was aware that a human saved him or if being saved by Sari at least change his mind towards organics. It's really a shame that we don't get to see Ultra Magnus interacting with Sari or another organic life form.
Jetfire and Jetstorm didn't have much onscreen of what they thought of Earth and the organic life forms. When Bulkhead decided to use a video game to show who was the real Bumblebee when Wasp switch places with Bumblebee, both twins were surprised to see something like a video game and each wanted to play the character who won, which is such a cute scene. Through, they do show to have some xenophobia when they dealt with Fanzone, implying that they never had the chance to interact with humans, mostly likely because of Sentinel.
Wasp didn't seem to mind going to Earth when he wanted revenge on Bumblebee. While it's unknown if he was aware that Earth is an organic planet, it didn't seem to stop him from wanting revenge. Wasp immediately took a liking to video games. Wasp also seems to have been okay with staying on Earth than going back to Cybertron, considering how he was treated in stockade, it's completely justified. When Wasp meets Blackarachnia, he pretty much was nice to her and didn't mind her organic half. Sure he was startled by her spider mode and was nervous of becoming a techno-organic like her, but he quickly became satisfied with his new form and claiming he was more stronger and powerful than before.
Alpha Trion appears to be indifferent to organics. He didn't seem to mind that Fanzone was in the council room and even credited both him and Ratchet when they saved Ultra Magnus from Shockwave, though Alpha Trion only called Fanzone as "the organic", but most likely because Alpha Trion just didn't know his name. From what I was able to gather, Alpha Trion is one of the oldest bots on Cybertron, which means he likely has been online before the xenophobia took place.
In the episode This Is Why I Hate Machines, Sentinel's anti organic campaign had spread throughout Cybertron during his time as acting Magnus with any Autobot becoming incredibly fearful of an organic within sight. The xenophobic Autobots would either run away or try to step on an organic if they see one. Which I can't help but find it funny that a bunch of giant robots would be afraid of tiny humans. We only see this behavior in episode since we haven't seen Cybertron much in the series.
Ratchet was even surprised to see what Cybertron became while he and the others were on Earth. Perhaps the xenophobia wasn't too bad and others were expressing doubts of the anti organic society they lived in. However, there's the well-known fact that Elita One/Blackarachnia would rather stick with Megatron and the other Decepticons instead of going back to Cybertron and be an experiment really says a lot of the Autobots' attitude towards organics and techno-organics.
I would have loved to see Optimus and the others try and end the xenophobia on their home planet. It would have been interesting to see the main Autobots trying to build a bridge of understanding between Cybertron and Earth, the planet they came to love and cherish.
