Random Excerpt-

Matt didn’t feel comfortable leaving the tranq’d (and fully knocked out) teen out in an abandoned alley. Very few people would, out here in Hell’s Kitchen. He also didn’t feel like bringing in a potential new problem into his home, so he decided on the next best place: the office.

Needless to say, Foggy was scared near shitless when Matt burst into their office in full Daredevil regalia with an unconscious boy in his arms. In Matt’s defense, Foggy wasn’t supposed to be here. He sent out a small thanks to God that at least Karen was nowhere to be seen. Heard. Semantics.

“Is that a kid? Oh my god, Matty, are you carrying a dead kid around? Is there a dead kid in our office?”

Language, Matt bit back.

Foggy’s heart beat a violent staccato as he followed Matt into their conference room, breathing stuttering when Matt laid the kid down on the table and his head turned limply to the side, his hair softly shuffling against the metal.

“Matt!”

Foggy waved his hands around wildly, the sound fluttering in Matt’s ears. Without a word, he grabbed Foggy’s arm and dragged him out of the room.

“Please keep calling me by my name in front of a stranger,” he hissed out, annoyed.

“In case it may have passed your attention, that stranger is unconscious. Or dead, for all I know! Because you haven’t said a damn word since you slammed your way in here by the way!” Foggy was whisper shouting, staying close to Matt’s side. He could almost see how Foggy’s eyes were wide, if he tried hard enough. Listened closely enough.

“He’s not dead,” he let out before walking to the front door to lock it and make sure no one was around.

There was a light slap sound as Foggy raised his hands in a pointless gesture and brought them against his legs.

“Oh, yeah, that’s reassuring,” he said to himself, but not bothering to hide it. Matt heard him walk back to the conference room. He held back a sigh, ignoring it for the time being. There hadn’t been anyone following them, but he’s been doing this long enough to know that some people knew how to keep their distance well, or even knew how to disguise their heart beats (God forbid the Hand had any involvement in this). They could even have a tracker on the kid.

Taking all of this into consideration, he would rather be safe than sorry. He was standing by the locked door, listening intently for any odd sounds outside the building or on any surrounding roofs. Like the same footsteps going by, feet shuffling as though someone was waiting, heavy breathing, the smell of gunpowder, or the sound of a bullet moving into its chamber.

He waited, hearing no signs. It was one minute before he heard the exact moment Foggy found the kid’s pulse.

“Matt,” he heard Foggy’s voice, a whisper. “He-he’s dead. He- oh my god, I’m going to be sick.

The kid’s pulse, or to anyone checking by regular means, lack thereof.

Matt waited one more second before moving away from the door to save himself from the stench of throw-up.

“I said he’s not dead.”

any time she comes up in conversation, his friends are uncomfortable. i love the way byers goes "well....yeah?" when scully asks if he knows diana. he says it like he's surprised that scully didn't know about her. when scully won't stop pressing mulder about diana in one son, all three of the boys tense up. the camera keeps going to their reactions. (you don't talk about the wife. they were there. "i always wondered why they split up.")

scully says "special agent diana fowley" as though maybe if she had one more title to throw in, she would disappear. diana says "fox" like she has something to prove. mulder says "diana" like it communicates everything he doesn't say. and in a way, it does. the first time scully heard him call agent fowley "diana," she knew.

Any fun facts you’d like to share but haven’t told us yet??

hmm there is an ongoing rotation of Stuff About Them always playing in my mind but im always so bad at thinking of them when asked kdmdkdkd but there is one thing I keep coming back to while I replay some maelstrom gigs in the game and I dont *think* I've ever mentioned it. At some point Dagger is snooping around some files and stumbles across the database of gang initiations, like the recorded videos  of the optical procedure and medical write ups/complications/cyberpsycho concerns/etc for all the members and he's not really fazed by any this, he *knows* what it all entails and he's been around them long enough to understand what happens and the risks involved. curiosity gets the best of him and he ends up pulling up dum dum's file and watching a bit, and to his own suprise, it ends up really upsetting him. its a brutal, painful procedure with a lot of risks and minimal precautions taken (including no anesthesia) and while he could watch the others no problem, he has to turn this one off pretty quick. He ends up deleting the video too, and he never mentions it to dum dum, but it stays with him for a long time :)

the procedure goes well for dd all things considered but does result in some negative side effects: memory lapses to start. He has a hard time remembering specifics from his past before maelstrom but even his short term memory starts getting worse as he gets older. (Dagger helps him with little memory games which is kinda cute but they're both terrified of him losing everything. This has also led to dd recording a lot of interactions so he sort of his a digital scrapbook of moments between the two of them.) He also gets "stuck in time" sometimes, really vivid flashbacks, often of the procedure where the pain comes back full force and he doesn't know Dagger until it passes (usually a couple minutes but bad ones go longer). Dagger has aggressive night terrors and ptsd from his childhood so they really become each others anchors in these moments.

#x: perfect drug #shout out to tumblr app for crashing after i wrote this out and making me rewrite it :) #anyway! one of those flashbacks dd has leads to a cyberpsycho scare where he sort of snaps and beats the ever loving shit out of dagger #and almost kills him :) #later on dd gives Dagger an old cyberdeck he programmed to essentially shut down his cyberware if it happens again #dagger thinks this is stupid and reckless and flat out tells him to destroy it bc what if someone else got their hands on it he doesnt want #it etc. but dd convinces him bc ultimately its a safety precaution he feels he needs and he will Only trust dagger with it. #so dagger begrudgingly accepts it and keeps it near and safe at all times #hm i guess it was time to drop a little angst :3

Silas refuses to leave bc he's basically lost everyone he loves most #he tells marcia he'll deal with the assassin when her shield goes down. And so she practically drags septimus away so at least she can #keep him safe #and. Bc there's no queen anymore. DD takes over. Marcia still has the amulet but they have no real way to get rid of dd #marcia very nearly ends up back in dn1 at one point. Like literally standing on the edge abt to fall #they keep trying to fix things but they just. Can't. Ppl end up seeing marcia as like. Not necessarily the eow who Failed #but she couldn't stop him from showing up so what could she possibly do now #it's more pity than blame and honestly to marcia that's worse #ppl keep dying and it's so much worse than when the custodian was in charge #and anyway yeah that's what makes marcia+septimus go for the house of foryx
