It’s 2 in the morning and my sleep schedule is fucked so I’m having fun with writing prompts for later and using the italics and bold features a little too much.

I’ve had a sudden vision of Danny Phantom, in very quick succession:

1. meeting Red Hood for the first time

2. sensing that he has a whole ass corrupted core, and, without explaining anything to anyone about anything

3. picking Jason up in the air and shoving his hand into his chest

I can see the Batfam but especially Bruce/Batman being horrified at watching what they think is this otherworldly, eldritch terror entity appear out of nowhere and murder their brother/son/friend right in front of them.

They attack, and Danny jerks something out of Jason’s chest before dropping him, ignoring all his new wounds thanks to the Batfam to immediately contain the toxic green, oozing core like it’s worth more than his life. (I imagine like an ecto-shield but it acts like a Steven universe bubble) and sends it away/destroys it/contains it for the time being idk

Jason is somehow alive- although he’s collapsed on his hands and knees puking up all the leftover toxic, corrupted ectoplasm that has been filtering through his veins for however long since he was revived.

After a disgusting/concerning amount of time, Jason is all out of toxic waste to puke up and the others have either captured Danny or he disappears idk

But suddenly Jason pops up looking more revived since he was- well- revived and he is like “I know that was wildly traumatic for all of us involved, but I think that weird little glow stick just saved my undead life” and the others go:

Because they absolutely hammered that thing when it attacked Jason and it just disappeared?? With no trace???

And Danny is just like: who the fuck is this random person walking around with a corrupted core killing him just as much as it was keeping him alive and why did everyone within a ten mile vicinity just use me for target practice

Shenanigans ensue

Haunted!Jazz DP X DC Ideas

So I know that a theme with some DP x DC fics is Jazz being/interning as a therapist/psychiatrist at Arkham, usually with Danny following her by being a guard and/or an overprotective brother.

I, being the gremlin I am, sat down and thought of some possibly darker/angstier paths that could be separated into different fics or combined together.

Immortal Danny - After the Accident, Danny no longer ages, so he goes ghost and follows Jazz to Gotham, only popping up as human (ish) in her apartment

Eldritch Horror Danny - Maybe there’s a breakout at Arkham, Jazz is kidnapped, mugged, etc. and Mr. Nightmare Fuel comes crawling out of a wall, the floor, or just fading into existence and being a terror/literal nightmare to whatever poor sod tried/talked about hurting Jazz

Medium Jazz - Jazz can see dead people, and she’s the only one who can see Danny either at all times, or just at all depending on what path you want to take, maybe with the exception Duke, or Constantine

Other/Liminal Jazz - Sharper teeth, tapetum lucidum (the thing that makes animals eyes glow in the dark), a flash of glowing green eyes, enhanced strength, speed, healing, etc. Could be any combination of these or more (although I’m a sucker for sharper teeth)

Vivisected Danny - Dissected by their parents, killing him a second (complete) time, and it shows up on his ghost form as Phantom as an open wound, showing off his insides (which if we’re including Medium!Jazz + Duke can see Danny, maybe because of how strong he is/was, maybe because of a lifetime of ecto-contamination/radiation, etc., could have some interesting effects

Commentary on

Ben 10 Season one episode nine.

They do the Spectra thing from Danny Phantom except instead of an Undead Psychiatrist hired by the school to help traumatized children that have lived through being attacked by supernatural beings but is actually using her position to suck the happiness out of the children and send them all into a spiraling depression, it’s a clown that absorbs peoples happiness to convert into his own power somehow, and causes an entire town to be filled with people to suffer from depression. Also he kidnaps either 8 or 10 of the audience to have for later as a snack. I always count these minor villains as major villains due to the whole ‘causing major depression in wide swaths of people’ because that’s a horrific super-villain power. Anyway the MC has a fear of clowns (10 year old) but he ends up overcoming that by being more afraid of his grandfather and cousin dying from their severe depression. Then he turns into an pseudo eldritch horror terror and leaves the evil clown traumatized by showing him that which human eyes were never meant to see, then destroys the machine that was collecting everyone’s happiness. Overall great episode, love having those types of villains get put down hard.
