Tumblr media
Y pues Everett... no cambio mucho... ES QUE NO ENCUENTRO FORMA DE SIMPLIFICARLO- SI CON SU DISEÑO NORMAL ENCUENTRO DIFICULTAD, SIMPLIFICARLO PEOR-
Pero Charlotte, mi reina, mi vida, toda bonita- quq 💖
Tumblr media

To Pray in Poetry
Unhappy that I am, I cannot heave my heart into my mouth.
Ah, awful weight! Infinity
Pressed down upon the finite Me!
Your beauty shakes me who was once serene;
Straight through my heart the wound is quick and keen.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
And I love you
with one hemisphere of my brain,
the dumb one, which forgets.
Is there a murderer here? No. Yes, I am.
I wanted the gold, and I sought it;
I hurled my youth into a grave.
Forgive, forgive, that I mistook
Too many others for you.
Bright star, would I were steadfast as thou art—
Thy love is such I can no way repay;
I would not wish any companion in the world but you.
Say over again, and yet once over again,
That thou dost love me.
Let me look at your face and see a heaven worth having.
I am not resigned to the shutting away of loving hearts in the hard ground.
For always we are following a light,
With groping hands
We stretch toward this glory
Amen

Tumblr media
Directed by David Butler
Produced by Buddy G. DeSylva for 20th Century-Fox
Written by David Butler, Buddy G. DeSylva, and Sid Silvers
Choreography by Harold Hecht
Synopsis ~ Spencer Tracy stars as fast-buck promoter Smoothie King. Our hero's latest scam is to pass off Hollywood extra Wanda Gale (Pat Patterson) and forger Limey Brook (Herbert Mundin) as British nobility, getting both of them prestigious jobs at a movie studio. Eventually Wanda becomes a big star, falling out of love with Smoothie along the way in favor of her leading man Hal Reed (John Boles). But Smoothie takes it all in stride; after all, there's still a world full of chumps and suckers, ripe for fleecing.

Tumblr media
The film received a favorable review from The New York Times critic Mordaunt Hall, who called it "a neat, carefree piece of work, which is helped greatly by Spencer Tracy, Pat Paterson, an English actress who here makes her American picture bow; Herbert Mundin, Harry Green, and, to a lesser extent, by John Boles" and noted that it "has its full share of honest humor and also several tuneful songs." Nonetheless, it was a box office disappointment for Fox.

What if Bennas joined/led the Defias Brotherhood.
Background Music
“For as the Light of Creation shines within all of us, all men andwomen,no matter their station or class, no matter their family name, and nomatter their race, are all born equal! Thus, we should not be ruled by thosewho bear a certain name or bloodline but those chosen to lead by the popularassent by the governed! ” The young Captain Theodore Bennas concluded in the grassy plainof Stormwind’s Mage District. The political atmosphere in Stormwind had beencharged since the economic crash in the wake of the war in Northrend. The youngofficer had returned home to fallow fields in Westfall, transients in thatprovince, Elwynn including Summerfast, and Redridge. It was no wonder that hismessage resonated so well with the poor, the young students and intellectualsin the Cathedral District, and returning soldiers. As Theodore raised a fistproudly to the cheering crowds, he displayed the red band of fabric tied aroundhis wrist.
The young paladin’sfiery rhetoric had attracted more than adoring fans. Stormwind footmen hadbegun to surround the demonstrations. A young Lieutenant barked out, “Captain Theodore Bennas, byorder of the King of Stormwind, His Royal Majesty Varian Wyrnn, cease thisunlawful demonstration and disperse this crowd. If you ever see you preachingrot again, I will arrest you for sedition against the Crown and have your headfor that Defias armband.” The guards raised their shields and stared forward as the crowdhurled insults at them. Most of them had grown up on stories of the firstDefias riots that had taken Queen Tiffin’s life and they would take no chances.
“If you are unwilling to rebut any of my points then you doyourself and the institution of the Crown a disservice. Please! Come have adiscussion with me. If you make peaceable demonstration impossiblethen….” The paladin implored.
“I understand your…feelings.” The guard lieutenant cut Bennas off, “But the law is the law. Nowget moving or we will -make- you”
As the Lieutenant attempted to talk theretired Captain down, a young private’s eyes widened as he swore he saw theflash of steel in the crowd. Panic set in as he reached for his own armingsword As he felt something hard strike against his shield, the youthimmediately imagined the worst and brought the acute steel tip to bear andthrust.
Horrified screams rungout through the crowds as the young guard saw the source of his fear, a youngwoman who had struck against his shield with her fists, and the blood drippingfrom the sword that slide into her throat, “Wa-Wait…Oh Light, I’m so-” The guardsman choked out before the roarof “KILLER! KILLER!”drowned him out. Within moments, the crowd bore down on the stunned, frightenedman, tearing his helmet off. The furious crowd members drew the daggers andknives they carried in their day to day lives and rained blows of steel in thegaps of his armor and onto his now exposed face.
“Stop! Stop!” Theodorecalled out but soon realized his words fell on deaf ears. His eyes drank in thescene as though it were a bitter medicine. Stormwind guards fought back thefurious crowds in vain, taking two casualties for every rioter they put down. The young Captain’s hand shook as he drew his own sword, waving it in the air,“If they will not listen to the will of the people then we shall make themhear!” He cried out before leaping into the crowd as the last of the guardsmenwere overwhelmed, “To the Command Center, boys and girls! There are weapons there!” The crowd roared in approval.
The enraged crowd amob of magical students, furious commonfollk, and ex-soldiers, tore through thecity. The small patrols of guardsmen were too disunified to mount a substantialdefense. With each fallen trooper, one in the ground gained a new sword orcrossbow to add to their meager arms that had previously consisted of daggers, staves, and the occasional blade.
A makeshift barricadestood in front of the Command Center with another being erected as the crowdstormed up the steps of Old Town. The movement’s numbers had swelled asTheodore travelled through Old Town with many of the seedy underbelly ofStormwind, who had suffered greatly under the horrid economy, joining theirranks.
Rifles rose at thecommand of a Stormwind officer’s sword as they trained on the revolutionariesbefore them. A moment of pure silence passed before the first wave ofprotesters swarmed through the barricade, sending the men at the secondarybarricade scurrying.
“AND…FIRE!” The grey-haired Commander Elizabeth Howell shouted, swingingher sword downward. Deadly conical musket rounds tore through the sky and foundtheir mark in the bodies of the unarmored populace. Yet they did not stopcoming. First over the barricade and then up that dreadful slope to the CommandCenter, “RELOAD. RELOAD!” The officerbellowed as she directed her steel at the ones armed with weapons, “TAKE AI-“ She immediately recoiled as bolts of flame and ice returnedfrom the crowd at her riflemen and pistol shots tore through the cool air.
A veteran riflemanlaid on the ground, sprawled out and screaming from a wound that had struck himin the joint between his forearm and elbow. He was mere feet beside her. AsCommander Howell surveyed the damaged remnants of her lines, she turned to seethe rebels closing in, merely ten feet from her, “DRAW SWORDS!FIX BAYONETS IF YOU’VE GOT’EM!” She cried out, “We’re meetingKing Llane today, boys and girls! CHARGE!”
The steel cladroyalist defenders clashed with the ragtag crowd. The carefully ground edge of anarming sword collided with a butcher’s cleaver and oaken staff struck against arifle. Theodore found himself in the midst of the carnage and a target for theactual armor he bore. One such footman surged after Bennas and swung his sworddown on Bennas’ head. Theodore caught the blade with that of his rondel, hisfree hand’s grip holding the man’s armor in place to hold him if only a moment. The Stormwind soldier watched initially in confusion and then horror paladinsimply stepped forward to the footman’s side and sank the tapered tip of therondel deep into the side of the soldier’s neck. Once. Twice. Thrice. He threwthe corpse down to the side, leaning down only to take the fallen man’s sword.
The situation merefeet from him was a hurricane of flesh, steel, fire and lead. Despite theirlosses, the rabid people of Stormwind, emboldened by their outrage, threwthemselves again and again at the dwindling soldiers atop the incline. They hadthe high ground but not the men to hold it. Commander Howell barked for her soldiers to hold the line as her saber sank into a young man’sshoulder, nearly severing his torso in two. She waved the curved sword aroundto rally her men around her as the crowd swarmed their position.
The thunder of aflintlock pistol and a flash of smoke joined by several others tore through thechaos of the riot turned battlefield. Young magical students hurled great boltsof flame into the mass of remaining armored men and women. Screams resounded asthe unenchanted steel armor of the footmen served as little more than heatconductors as the soldiers they were designed to protect cooked alive in theirarmor.
With two rounds in heruniform that came from close range, Commander Howell clutched her bloody sideas she staggered forwards in dogged determination; her fingers wrapped tightaround her saber. Unlike the majority of her soldiers, Howell was outfitted inher dress uniform not her full plate. As the riotous crowds drew near, theCommander did not think of throwing down her weapon in exchange for her life. AStormwind officer does not surrender. Howell slashed at a young woman armedwith a staff but her weak strike was rebuffed and countered with a thrust thatsmashed into her chest. The force of the impact from the ash staff sent thebloodied Commander to the ground with the breath knocked out of her. Elizabethchoked out as she felt the strength leave her body. She brought her backupwards to sit herself up but her body would not obey her. The Commander fellback to the earth as she watched the rebels banging at the yielding door of theCommand Center. Elizabeth could only muster a gasp before her injuriesoverwhelmed her.
As the rebelliousswarm of humanity swarmed the Command Center and looted the military buildingfor any and every weapon, Theodore stood beside the fallen soldiers and lookedto the Stormwind Keep where the King of Stormwind reigned. The newly armed andarmored rebels filed out, looking to the paladin as if asking for their nextmove.
The paladin took abreath, savoring the silence before raising his sword, “Years from now, friends, men and women the world overwill say ‘Here began the fall of the Kingdom of Stormwind.’”. He gave a pregnant pause, letting thethought sink in for just a moment, “And the riseof the Stormwind Republic!”The crowd before him went wild with whoops and hollers as they raised theirweapons in a throng of revolutionary fervor.
This is so much longer than I expected it to be!)

Antéchrist. Mélenchon a donc tort ?

Top 30 to Look Forward to at GenCon 2019 (#21-30)
Here’s the continuation of the Top 30 with a look at #21-30, the end of the list.
Dungeon Academy - Have I mentioned lately how much I like games that play under an hour? This looks like a roll & write game published by Matagot and created by Julian Allain. It’s for 1-6 players and takes 20 min. to play. In the game, you roll dice and draw lines to chart your path from start to the dungeon, defeating monsters along the way. It looks like a fun implementation of a dungeon crawl.
City of the Big Shoulders - Published by Parallel Games and designed by Raymond Chandler III, this is a heavier game that supports 2-4 players and takes 2-3 hours to play. In this game, players work to build up the city of Chicago. It’s apparently a marriage of an 18xx style (ie. HEAVY) game of stock manipulation with the easy rules of a Euro-style game. Throughout the course of the game, players will run companies, trade stock shares, and produce/sell goods in order to become rich capitalists of industry.
Black Angel - Designed by Sébastien Dujardin, Xavier Georges, and Alain Orban and published by Pearl Games, this game for 1-4 players takes 1-2 hours to play. This is probably one of the biggest games to watch at the convention. This game is apparently a reimplementation of the popular board game, Troyes, but with a space theme. Honestly, that description should be reason enough for me to NOT be interested. However, I can’t help but be drawn into the theme. The game is described as existing in a post-apocalyptic world. Like in the Disney animated film, Wall-E, Earth’s resources have been depleted and humanity’s only hope is to board the ship, Black Angel, and seek life elsewhere. Different factions fight over who gets to control the ship and dictate the use of resources. The game has an interesting premise--exciting enough to pull me in, despite my hesitancy about gameplay mechanisms. I’ve played Troyes before, and I didn’t like the gameplay.
Undo: Blood in the Gutter - Designed by Michael Palm and Lukas Zach and published by Pegasus Spiele, this game supports 2-6 players in 45-90 min. I’m very excited about this one! It’s a cooperative game that involves storytelling and a murder mystery! Jump back in time to stop someone’s death, Quantum Leap style. From reading about this game, I get the impression that it’s a cross between Unlock! (escape room in a box) and Time Stories (escape room in a box before the Unlock! and Exit series came out, but with a sort of clunky time-loop, replay the same scenario over and over game mechanism instead of pure exploration). If the story is strong, then I think this game will be successful in adding a new twist to the popular escape-room-in-a-box genre.
Quirky Circuits- Designed by Nikki Valens and published by Plaid Hat Games, this quick playing game takes 15-30 min. for 2-4 players. The art on the box cover is irresistibly cute! Hats off to the artist, Danalyn Reyes. I should really be giving more kudos to board game artists, but this one in particular caught my eye because of the cute animals and robots. This is a cooperative game, my favorite type! Players simultaneously select programmable actions to set the course of their quirky robot in hopes it will complete its task before its battery runs out. I guess they should’ve invested in some Energizer batteries for that robot. The designer, Nikki Valens, is known for formerly working at Fantasy Flight Games on big projects like Mansions of Madness 2nd ed, Arkham Horror, Eldritch Horror, and Legacy of Dragonholt. While I would love to see another storytelling game from Nikki, this game piques my interest. Plaid Hat Games is well known for publishing games set in the zombie apocalypse, Dead of Winter, as well as the Evolution series of games. Considering the pedigree of both the designer and publisher, I expect great things.
Century Golem: Eastern Mountains- I didn’t think Plan B Games would actually create and publish this golem-themed sequel to Century: Golem edition (aka the golem version of Emerson Matsuuchi’s smash hit, Century: Spice Road). I’M SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!! They said they weren’t going to do it, and I fell for it, hook, line, and sinker. The artists for this one are Atha Kanaani and Chris Quilliams; Chris was also one of the artists of the original Century: Golem game. The art makes all the difference of this easy to play, easy to like goods conversion game. I might have to shell out extra money for the playmat, too. I just can’t get over how great the art is in this game! It’s also an easy game to teach to people who are new to boardgaming.
Wingspan - New designer Elizabeth Hargrave has created one of the most talked about games this year, which is surprising to me, given that this is a game about birds. Yes, you heard that right, this game is for the birds! Wingspan supports 1-5 players and takes 40-70 min. to play. Published by Stonemaier games, the game probably had some built-in trust that the game would be good. Stonemaier has been known to publish fun games with quality components. I can’t decide if it’s the tiny eggs that look like candy or the birdhouse that dispenses the dice that makes this game eye-catching. I like that this game has card drafting. I’m eager to play this one, myself!
Colors of Paris - Another newbie designer, Nicolas De Oliveira, has created this game about creating great works of art. The publisher is Super Meeple, and the game supports 2-4 players in 45-60 min. This game appears to feature a rondel mechanism. I think I’m generally pulled in by games about art, even though I fear Fresco might just be the best of them all. We’ll have to see what Colors of Paris brings to the table.
Crusaders: Thy Will Be Done - Created by Seth Jaffee and published by Tasty Minstrel Games, this game supports 2-4 players and plays in 40-60 min. This game uses both rondel and mancala mechanisms. As is to be expected from Tasty Minstrel, the wooden tokens are custom shaped pieces that look like knights, castles, and other buildings. There are also variable player powers in this game, which I’m not always a fan of because I think some player powers are more intuitive to employ than others, making gameplay feel uneven. At least, that has been my experience with variable powers in other games; it’s THE reason my gaming partner doesn’t like The Voyages of Marco Polo, and to this day I regret playing with the suggested player powers for a first game (she got whatever power is prescribed for third place, and the first player’s power was overwhelmingly strong). I’m intrigued to find out how the mancala and rondel interact with each other in this game.
Cartographers: A Roll Player Tale - Produced by Thunderworks and designed by Jordy Adan, this is yet another roll & write game that takes 30-45 min. and supports 1+ players. Like any good roll & write, the player count is really only limited by the number of papers/pencils you have. This game takes place in the Roll Player universe. Instead of rolling up the stats of a player character, this time you’re a map maker charting out distant lands for the queen.
That's a wrap on my Top 30 from GenCon. Stay tuned for my upcoming list on Essen Spiel, the biggest boardgaming convention in the world! This year’s Essen Spiel is from Oct. 24th-27th, so I need to get my preview list together quickly.

Jelisaveta Načić
(Belgrade, 31.12. 1878 – Dubrovnik, 6.6. 1955) first female architect in Serbia
Life and work
JelisavetaNačić was born 1878 in Belgrade, Serbia as thirteenth child in the family. Her father was a rich, large portion trader Mihailo. S. Načić from Požarevac, and her mother was the daughter of Jovan Savić, the manager of of Fond administration. Jelisaveta was the youngest. The Načić family had a property under what is known as Hotel Moscow today. The family also possessed houses in Hilandar street and the carriages which were rented for regal occassions. 1966, a department for architecture was opened in Serbia, as part of Grand faculty of Belgrade. Jelisaveta enrolled into this faculty as the first female student, paying the scholarship with her dowry. After she graduated in 1900, she became the first female architect in Serbia. She got a job in Ministry of buildings as a professional drawer, which was a big success, because at the time, only those who served in the military, men, could get such a job. After passing a state exam in 1902, she is transfered to engineering-architectural department in Belgrade. She also becomes a member of serbian engineers and architects society. In 1903, she gets a reward in the competition for conceptual solution of St. George church in Topola. This brings her the reputation and new orders. She implemented several projects. Her architectural career ended after sixteen years when she was interned into a camp in Hungary for building a triumphal arch in honor of the return of Serbian soldiers of which was inscribed “There are still people from Serbia that aren’t free”. She was a friend of DimitrijeTucović and the democrats. She never revealed her political preference i public. In the camp, she met Luke Lukaj, alban professor and revolutionary who fough against Osman empire. She married him in 1917 and they had a daugter, Lucia. After the war, they lived in Belgrade for two years before moving to Skadar. Lukaj was the minister under the rule of Esad paša, who helped Serbian people cross the Albania during the First world war. With her husband, she took part in a rebellion to free Albania from italian influence. After the rebellion failed, they moved to Dubrovnik in 1923. When king Ahmet Zogu ascended the throne in 1928, Lukaj renounced Alban citizenship, officially becoming the subject of Yugoslavian king. He published Alban-Serbian dictionary in Belgrade in 1955. After the war, Jelisaveta gave her library and professional documentation to University library in Belgrade. Jelisaveta lived in Dubrovnik till her death in 1955. She died poor and forgotten. She was a part of first generation of students in architectural department and one of the first women with a job in public sector. She designed first modern school building, first hospital for tuberculosis, first round kiln for making bricks, first planned residential building on Balkan.
 Professional achievements
Her first work in Belgrade municipality was execution of works on landscaping of Little Kalemegdan, in accordance to project of famous architect Dimitri. T. Lek. As part of landscaping of Big Kalemegdan Jelisaveta designed Little stairs.Decorative and baroque stone stairswith a faucet, which descended from Savska alley onto Paris street, were made of hewn green stone. She also designed the Savska alley fence, with urns on stone pedestals, styled under the influence of secession, which was destroyed during the first World war.
Probably the most monumental project of Jelisaveta Načić was the elementary school near the congregational church in King Peter street 7, which is known as King Peter I street nowadays. School was built in the place where an old school building and reading room used to be. When school was finished 1906 with 16 classrooms, electric lights, heating, toilets, festive hall, spacious vestibule and gymnastics hall, represented one of most modern school complexes in Serbia. Furnishment of classrooms and utility rooms, as well as hygenic and teaching conditions, were on a much higher level than the old school facilities. How extraordinary and successful this project was tells the fact that it was showcased on IV Yugoslavian exhibition 192. Today, this building was declared a cultural asset under protection of UNESCO.
When the Belgrade municipality announced a competition for decoration of Terazije, Jelisaveta was entrusted with supervision of urban planning Terazije plateauin 1911. The plan was to implement the first place design solutions made by Veselin Lucic. Terazije were given a new look, which remained until 1949 even though the fountain was not completed because of the war and the Mestrovic sculpture The Winnerwasn’t set because of public outrage.
The first collective housing building for workers in the Balkans was designed by Jelisaveta. Block of worker flat for workers of communal services in  Belgrade municipality is located between the streets Venizelusove, Komnen Berjaktara, Generala Mahine and Hercega Stjepana. It consists of two sets of objects created in different times. The first block was built in 1910 and 1911, a second set of buildings was completed in 1924. This complex still exists today and has been declared a cultural asset.
The Savamalasquare in front of Belgrade Cooperation Officewas designed in 1911 but it was not implemented.
Jelisaveta has designed  a Pavilionfor tuberculosis 1912. Hospital for tuberculosis patients, was situated in the complex of the hospitalson Vračar. This was the first hospital for tuberculosis in Serbia. The hospital building was destroyed in the bombing during World War II and demolished 1919.
According to her drawings during 1912-13. a church dedicated to St. Archangel Michael was built in Stimlje in Kosovo. In the southern part of the church is a memorial plaque, which represents her dedication to Serbian commanders who fought in this region "plaque for  Kosovo avengers (Vojvoda Radomir Putnik, Živojin Misic, Gligor Sokolovic), glory to those who died for Kosovo, from the architect Ms. Jelisaveta Načić. "
Jelisaveta’s most important work in the field of religious architecture is the church of Alexander Nevsky in Dorćol at the corner of Cara Dusan and French streets. Construction work started in 1912. The construction was interrupted by Balkan wars and First World War. Since Načić abandoned professional career, the construction was continued in 1927, but the design was greatly changed.
According to the winning solution made by Veselin Lucic solution for urban landscaping of the Terazije plateau Jelisaveta was entrusted with drafting the detailed design and supervision of works. Thus Terazije received two lanes that are cobbled with wooden cubes, circular rondell with a fountain and two lateral flower gardens. This solution has survived until 1949 when Terazije faucet was moved to Topčider. It was brought back in 1975. during the next reconstruction of Terazija. She worked on the renovation of buildings in Belgrade that were damaged by the enemy artillery.
Elizabeth Načić has projected the first circular kiln and other plants for the production of bricks which was built in the municipality of "Prokop" with the earth quarry. This building was destroyed during World War II.
For the purposes of the Belgrade municipality she had designed several private houses in Belgrade, so that today one can find buildings that were built according to her ideas and designs: Bozidar Krstic house from 1904, which is located on the corner of Šafarikova and Duro Daničića; House of bookstore owner Marko Markovic on the corner of Captain Mišine and John's 45a from 1904, which was declared cultural heritage; House of Zorke Arsenijevic from 1907 in Lominoj 46. Building which were destroyed were: collective residential building known as the house of Arse Drenovac in 1907, which was located on the corner of Kosovo and Kondina streets; M. House Protića in the yard of Birčaninova street 13;
Street
Ulica Jelisavete Načić is located in the municipality of Stari Grad, on Gundulić Wreath, close to Bajloni market, not far from the building containing workers' housing, which shedesigned. Her street bears it’s current name since 2004. Earlier this street was called Pavle Papa
