Anyways if you manage to be both an artist and manager at the same time, props to you for your god-like time management cause that’s honestly fucken commendable. Like manager-nim you’re actually a god at this point.

I imagined reader to be completely out of the genre FerozEve (are we surprised by who the top is at this point) in order for the double trouble makers not to find out immediately.

I don’t know how wide Feroze’s music tastes are but for Eve he practically listens to every genre. As a teen his favorite were the rockstar and ofc pop. He got into Hip-Hop/Trap through the main rapper from his group, and Kpop has a ton of genres mixed into it including but not limited to EDM, R&B and Punk Rock. Soon enough, he hears of this underground DJ who’s known for not only making fire music but being their own choreographer and VJ. Talk about being blessed by the gods.

You (and his bae Khan ofc) inspired him to create his own music and eventually go solo. He went undercover sometimes to send you tracks. You thought he was just a kid/teen since his early ones were kinda . . . not it, but was impressed by the amount of passion he put into improving.

Years later, your activity died down due to working on Feroze’s career more. Those exclusive interviews and world concert arrangements don’t do themselves yknow!

Eve was saddened by your lack of releases and performances but understood. Besides he had your manager persona in mind to obsess over.

The collab happens and you joined Eve to look over the tracks in the album. From the amount of iced americanos he’d down, you could tell he was super out of it and really needed rest BUT HE WOULDN’T GODDAMN LISTEN TO YOU-

But to Eve he was just in utter shock and awe. How come he didn’t think of that?? The synth really elevated that section of the chorus?? Why were you hiding this genius from him??

Eve isn’t even listening at this point. He just has heart eyes. Like he didn’t know he could fall further in love with you. Boy is whipped.

Overall Eve kinda do be dumb and dense so he wouldn’t figure it out. But I’d imagine the revelation to happen sort of like this:

“Woah that sounds fire.” Eve’s eyes were glued at your focused face. You looked so adorable all focused like that. He was so close to jumping out the recording booth just to give you a big ol smooch.

At his approval you continued, “We could build it up more. I’ll punch you in here and you could do a lower note? Like this.” You played a section of the song, perfectly harmonizing with his voice like it was nothing, before turning to him for approval.

He was silent. Mouth slightly agape.

Hala's Hamza or Rumi's Hamza?

The red flag and green flag tags have been going on social media for several months, but today, I came across a post comparing the Hamzas of Hala and Rami (played by the same actress- Hania Amir).

Both the onscreen pairs were loved by countless people but the opinions people had on both the Hamzas was quite different.

Now from a fictional point of view, Rumi's Hamza is definitely a dream come true for most. Betrayed by his lover, seeking revenge, marries the innocent protagonist yet never tolerates anyone disrespecting her, finally developed feelings for her, yet, he is exposed right before he comes clean before her, thus loosing his happily ever after with her. Now, the biggest plus of Hamza was how he sided with Rumi, not letting anyone disrespect her. And Hamza's entire family (except himself ) was a green forest. The biggest negative is him blackmailing Hanna, no matter what, it is actually creepy to blackmail another girl, especially the one with such a close bond to your wife, meeting her behind the family's back- it all equates to the person being not only a creep, but accept it or not- Hamza was emotionally cheating on Rumi, and hence, Rumi's reaction after knowing the truth is valid to me. Also, can't ignore the fact that Rumi was a green flag herself (except, maybe for her blindness to her sister's pain- which was too confusing by the way).

Now when it comes to Hala's Hamza. There were quite a few episodes where I got butterflies watching Hamza treat Hala as a queen. Now, the family has done quite a nice job of breaking Hala, and making her spineless and naive. So, Hala needed someone to make her realize her worth, someone who would introduce the world to her without belitting her, who could respect her and convince her that she is worth loving. And, Hamza did all that, he loved her, respected her, took a stand for her.

The negatives for Hamza start with his inability to believe that his mother is actually capable of harming not only Hala but also their unborn baby. This track never made sense in the drama, because it was left unadressed , so I leave it at that.

Now, coming to the entire Khurram fiasco, I believe that Hamza's disappointment and insecurity and anger stem from the fact that Hala hid her past from him. Had Khurram remained just that, I don't think his reaction would be this big, but imagine, your wife's ex is infront of her, is a part of her present and would be a part of their future, wouldn't it be fair for him to know it from his wife rather than having to witness it. Secondly, hadn't he provided enough security and trust to her that she could approach him and let him know about anything. While we can see Hala's scars, can no one see the scar Hala has left on Hamza with her move. Now, the second negative in Hala's Hamza, is having to deal with his scars, he wasn't that great and inflicted more pain and stress on Hala, especially since she was pregnant and about to be a mother.

A lesson from both the dramas- the past that affects your future will never be just that, it will haunt you everyday, hence communicate with your partner and navigate the murky waters of life accordingly. No love is unconditional - if you hurt someone, be ready to face the consequences.

While Hala's Hamza wins more points than Rumi's Hamza, it is actually Rumi that I completely adore. Now, I'm left wanting a cross between Rumi and Hamza (from MH). What about you? Which Hamza is your favourite ?

Yes! i don’t want to dump this on you, especially if you aren’t watching it, but I knew you would understand. B/c when i talk about this with my fam, they tell me to relax and that it’s a fantasy show for a reason and that no one would want this dude irl… but you’re right. The fact that extremely attractive, charming men play these characters is done on purpose. Manz slaps his fiancee (to which she faints dramatically for him to catch her before she falls and tenderly caress her face regretfully 🙄) He apologizes lazily for it, then continues to drag her through places roughly by her hand to scold her. and i swear i read comments like “wowww murtasim didnt scold her in public! He took her to their room so he could save her izzat. Kya mohobat hai iski!!” Making all sorts of excuses for him b/c of all the other romantic/charming scenes that are distracting them from the real issues in the show. Especially scenes of him flirting with her and being struck by her beauty. You know those romantic scenes where they stare at each other for minutes 😂. It’s surprising that i havent seen any criticism from this show, even from younger more woke girls. They’re all just fangirling since he’s not “that bad”

they love romanticizing the aggressive wrist pulling and stuff it makes me so mad!! dramas like this are the pakistani equivalent of fics like After and 50 shades of grey .... fodder for aunties to convince themselves the abuse they have dealt with and perpetuated is acceptable and should be encouraged 🙄
