So I was working on an edit for something I’m currently writing and realized that it’s perfect for a roleswap edit😅. Though that’s not EXACTLY what’s happening. In interest of not spoiling the chapters I’m writing I won’t say which story this is for.

One thing I will say is that this fight features the End vs Gancelot яeverse. Honestly how could they turn Aichi evil four times and NEVER give him a corrupted Gancelot?! It’s right there! It’s Lancelot!

As for where яeverse Aichi is on the Dark Aichi diagram he’s with Psyqualia Zombie Aichi in the needs an exorcism and a snickers category but for a completely different reason 🤣.

「 @universestreasures​ | Aichi Sendou」 issued a challenge:      

"Merry Christmas, Kai!" Aichi smiles, presenting a wrapped box that he totally tried to wrap but eventually got help from Emi to finish. It is covered in red and green stripped paper with a giant red bow in the center. The teen isn't sure whether Kai will like or even accept the gift or not. However, he just had to try to give a gift to the person who had done so much for him.

Inside the box was a scrapbook of memories, one had been working on since he started at Card Capital. He has a copy for each of his friends, but he made sure Kai's was filled with pictures taken during his many cardfights in the tournaments they had all played as well.

"I just wanted to ... give you something you can look back on, something that no matter where life takes us, you won't ... You won't forget about me ..."

❝ --Merry Christmas to you too, Aichi. ❞ He returns the greeting, despite the air of Christmas cheer being completely absent from his person. Get-togethers such as this were still rather awkward for him it seemed. But making himself scarce from a majority of the attention seemed to help, he didn’t want to leave immediately this time at the very least. Normally that would change once someone caught him loafing around, but he didn’t seem to mind Aichi’s approach in the slightest. 

❝ ...If that’s the only reason then a gift like this isn’t necessary. ❞ 

He says that, but accepts the gift regardless. He doesn’t move to open it here though, he’ll save that for when he’s back home at his apartment. For now he tucks the present carefully under his arm as to not crush the bow or rip the festive paper.

Honestly, Kai doesn’t think he could ever forget about Aichi. He wouldn’t ever want to, really. Presented with the same sentiment under different circumstances he might have reacted differently. Once upon a time he might have thought he couldn’t forget even if he had wanted to. But that was not the case here, and likely never was. Aichi was one person he’d never forget, not after everything they’ve been through. A small, sort of half-smile then threatens to tug at his lips. 

--He didn’t need something to encourage him to look back.  He recalls all those times often enough on his own. But what lay under his arm, awaiting him to flip through their journey again from the beginning was Aichi’s carefully curated version of the events they’ve experienced together. Perhaps it would do him some good to see things through the eyes of the other. Who’s expressive blue hues conveyed to Kai all the unspoken emotions that went along with the gift.

He then produces a decoratively wrapped basket, and hands it over to Aichi, not really giving him the chance to refuse it. Of course Kai acts as though it wasn’t originally intended for Aichi, but the contents completely contradicts his nonchalant attitude towards giving it to his fellow cardfighter as though it was but an afterthought. In fact; it was clearly meant for the other.

Within the basket was, of course, a batch of homemade sugar cookies with each individual one decorated with royal icing. Upon closer inspection one could recognize the cute, chibi-like cookie versions of the Royal Paladins. Complete with a Blaster Blade, Wingal, Marron-- even some of the more complex designed units like Gallatin, Alfred and Gancelot!  Anyone who didn’t know Kai and his competence in the kitchen would have a hard time believing these weren’t professionally made. But it wasn’t like Kai to buy something he could just make at home. Even if it did take him an entire afternoon to do so-- not that anyone needed to know that.

Every time ibuki says “white wings” it makes me think of aichi’s “proud white wings of faith” gancelot call & then I’m surprised it’s not him even though I know ibuki plays link joker & therefore it’s not gonna be him💀
