@lifebender here on tumblr originally coined the term “Vulture Culture” as a collective name for the interest in anything related to preserving, cleaning, collecting, making art with, or studying animal and insect remains including bones, skulls, teeth, feathers, furs, taxidermy mounts, wet specimens, and so on. Anyone with an interest in and appreciation for nature, natural history, anatomy, and oddities can be a “Vulture!”

Super amazing bunch of folks with an incredible wealth of knowledge, a serious and fierce passion for the natural world around us, and just a lot of general niceness all around.
