hii jules ginger snaps watch so overdue so glad i finally got to it !!! first general thought tbh is why did they even bother making jennifers body. i guess you can and should make as many monstergirl movies as you want but jb specifically took everything that made ginger snaps appropriately horrifying and defanged it. unfortunate how i really cannot look at that movie the same way anymore its so derivative.personally annoying

anyway looooved the movie love the cinematography especially such good horror shots ! love how brigitte tells sam its her foreshadowing moment babey ! but also the second this happens to ginger she sees herself as doomed as her (or not, depending on how her hope oscillates) and ofc love GINGER as a crimson peak enjoyer horrible girls who are in love with their "saner" sibling are so special to me.....ginger clinging onto her femininity and hating the work she has to do to turn the strength her transformation gives her in her favor and mocking brigitte bc shes terrified thats pulling them apart that brigitte now can access things she cant give.....when gingers the one whos turning into a monster but she tells brigitte she doesnt know her !!!!!! desire running thru this movie was so enriching ill be honest . loved going thru your tag would love some more of yr takes as well <3

Tried to answer this ask. Realized 90% of the ask had turned into political theory analysis unrelated to the last chapter with only a small side of actual thoughts on it. Deleted that. Regarding the rest of the chapter:

I think it was a cool chapter, I'm glad to see the plot moving forward again!! When reading this chapter, specifically, I felt a lot of “I can't tell if it's intentionally that deep or the author is just doing all of it unintentionally”, but overlooking that, it's been fun ahah. I feel like I don't have very high expectations for bsd, and the main manga is nothing more of a pastime while I wait for new ss/kk interactions, so it's hard for me to be let down, I'm just trying to have a good time.

I've said already that so far we really know too little about Dostoyevsky's backstory for me to judge whether I like its direction or not, but it sure made for such an exciting turn of the plot!! It's a character that was introduced 10 years ago and we're finally going to learn what's his deal, I can't help but be enthusiast!!!

Chuuya's redundant comment on Dostoyevsky being dead persuaded me that he's alive more than one hundred detailed analysis lol. I'm not very thrilled at the perspective: I LOVE Dostoyevsky, I loved this whole doa arc and believe it's the strongest in the manga so far, but also,,,, it's been dragging on for SO long, I just want to get this over with and move over to something new ahah. The Order of the Clock Tower. Akutagawa's cool outfit. The cool ss/kk fight against Fukuchi / not Fukuchi. The ada-pm deal. The ss/kk six months fight,,,,,, I love Dostoyevsky, but at this point I just want to be done with this arc and move to the next one ahah.

hiiiii I always love hearing your thoughts and opinions especially on tvd so I'm just curious what your thoughtss about damon feeding elena blood in 2x20 (which was to keep her alive!!) vs stefan feeding her blood and threatening to drive her off the bridge her parents died in in 3x11?? because so many antis said a whole lot about Damon's actions but I didn't see a lot about Stefan's which isn't shocking since they sweep a lot of his misdeeds under the rug just curious about your thoughts! <3

I mean, neither instance is great. Damon completely violated Elena's agency and choice by feeding her his blood, ignoring her wishes. His motivations are understandable, but it's a terrible move.

Stefan's actions are just as awful. Whether or not he was intending to go through with turning Elena, he still violates her, endangers her and threatens her life. It's terrifying for Elena and horrible to watch.

I do find it very telling that before I watched TVD I knew all about Damon feeding Elena his blood but I never heard about Stefan doing so too. The white-washing of Stefan's actions - both in the fandom and the show - can be very grating.

I sent you an ask a few weeks ago regarding ACIM (A course in miracles). I just remembered a few stuff reading your latest asks regarding spirituality and someone asking about suffering. Although the book may be complex to read, it offers great insight towards suffering, fears, the 3d illusion. This book has been a groundbreaker for me. I used to be very fearful in the past and defensive. Since I started reading ACIM, fear does not make sense to me. It does not mean I no longer suffer, because I still have my moments lol, but I do have a better outlook on fear. It feels fake, you know. All of the fears that may come to mind feel so insignificant and unreal.

I highly recommend it. On the practical side of the law it may be deficient, but the spiritual side that this book offers is just so amazing, every time I read it I keep getting my mind blown. Since the book was supposedly a message channeled by Jesus to the woman who wrote it, I'm usually reading it and I go "ooooooooh fuckkkkk, JESUS REALLY SAID THAT!!! OMFG DROP THE MIC JESUS! LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK". I am sure anyone who reads it will want to befriend Jesus, he's just too cool tbh, and he is blunt af. Also I think it would resonate a lot with you. I've looked for podcasts and videos to see other people's interpretation and it's sad how they read the whole book and still didn't understand the whole thing.

Sorry if this is getting long and unnecessary, but the whole book is about oneness. The whole book JEsus keeps repeating THAT WE CREATE WHAT WE SEE IN OTHER PEOPLE. IF SOMEONE IS AN ASSHOLE IT'S BECAUSE WE CHOSE TO SEE THEM AS SUCH but we can correct that vision by seeing them through love, that thoughTss are not private because we ARE ONEEEEEE. our thoughts influence everyTHING. AND this bitch makes a whole podcast basically implying we are "especial*" and that some people are genuinely evil and she missed the whole point of the book tbh. They don't do justice to my friend Jesus 😪 but for people who are into LOAss, this book is golden

I'm actually so glad to hear from you. To be honest, lately a rather difficult fear kept popping up at full force. I've been practicing what I preach myself, and of course, I sit with it and allow it to be, while knowing how it means nothing. And I truly know it means nothing. But the anxiety it brings can almost be unbearable sometimes. So last night I intended that I would somehow find an answer on how to deal with that. And here you are! Telling me how ACIM has helped you face fear in such a graceful way. I'll take that as a successful manifestation. I'm going to start reading ACIM today. :) Thank you!

I think that... EIYPO is a very difficult concept for people. I see how ACIM doesn't call it that, but essentially it's the same concept. Anyway, I think that it's unfortunate, because it's like a concept that is a must when applying the law. Even now, you do see people who are into the law of assumption who just disregard EIYPO. But in my opinion, we can push off the understanding we are one and that we are the reason people show up the way they do. However, we're going to have to face it eventually. To get full results with the law, accepting EIYPO is essential.

I'm excited to read ACIM and tell y'all what I think about it! 💖
