YOU ALWAYS HAD ME — synopsis: what would you do if your hot best friend agreed to fake date you to make your ex-boyfriend jealous? will it ruin your friendship or will it prevail into something more?

One of your favourite things you did growing up to find solace outside of your rowdy home was sitting by the porch, drinking in the starry night above you. Usually, you had company; your Persian cat, Kiki who has found herself a new owner; Gojo Satoru.

“What’s going on that pretty little head of yours?” Your thoughts, are instantly broken by the low yet smoky voice of the man you were falling in love with. — your best friend, your fake boyfriend.

“Nothing”

“Lies. I’ve been searching everywhere for you but then your kind mother told me this is your favourite spot.” You felt the plank beneath you creak and found yourself a new company.

“You were looking for me?” Your voice came out barely a whisper.

Tucking away the strands of hair behind your ear, “Yeah?.”

Your heart skipped a beat.

So did the clock.

10 minutes till Midnight.

“Can we end this, Satoru?”

“What?”

"You heard me."

"So that’s on your mind? Is that why you invited me here? To break up with me in front of your family's porch? Or did Toji text you back? I-"

"Satoru, do you want to know what I dislike about you?"

"If it's me stealing your chocolates, I'm sorry. Please don't end this"

You cupped his face, the warmth from the contact of your hands and his face kept you alive. He looks so cute with his face being squashed. His bright blue eyes on you, pouting.

"Wrong. I don't like it when you cut me off and you’re so dramatic ‘toru! Toji hasn’t texted me since forever! But it doesn’t matter anyway because I love you."

His pout, was instantly replaced with a smile like a kid who got candy from his mother.

"Then will you shut me up by kissing m-"

You threw your body weight on him, snaking your arms around his neck, playing with the underside of his undercut. It's so hot. Supposedly a small fleeting kiss immediately turned into a passionate heated kiss, outside your family's porch.

You gasped in surprise at the sensation of his hands tucking underneath your shirt, pinching your skin.

The kiss that breaks apart, left you both catching for air.

Removing his hands that previously rested under your shirt, sliding in your palms, stroking your hands with his thumb.

"You're so cute. I like the taste of your lips on mine. And I love you too, YN. Always have been, ever since high school. We grew up together so technically, I watched you grow up heh. Watching you have your first boyfriend broke my heart, but if that was the price for me to pay seeing you so happy, I'd gladly break my heart a thousand times over. But a part of me wished it was me who made you smile. So when he broke your heart, it was as if the whole world just crashed on me. You, out of everyone deserve so much love."

Like as if that wasn't enough to tug your heartstrings,

"YN, can I be your boyfriend? I'll love you with everything that I have, I promise."

i'm so mad at gege after the last episode cause it made me start thinking about female characters in jjk so here i am.

(jjk anime and manga spoilers ahead)

nobara is such a great character, she looks like the usual "girl of the trio" for like the first two seconds you know her but she's so much more and SO BADLY USED IN THE PLOT EXACTLY LIKE SHOKO

everything about yuji/megumi/nobara is a sort of parallelism with satoru/suguru/shoko but it doesn't work out completely cause we know almost nothing about shoko and the little we do know it's mostly written in the extra volume about jjk characters and techniques, it's not like gege actually tells us more about her in the plot and he could have done that in the hidden inventory arc even if it was meant to be focused on satoru and suguru AND THIS MAKES ME FURIOUS

like okay you just want a female character with healing powers? great (not great, but let's not focus on this rn) BUT AT LEAST MAKE HER ACTUALLY HEAL SOMEONE???? I LOVE HER BUT SHE'S SO USELESS, EVERYONE DIES IN SHIBUYA AND SHE'S JUST THERE DOING NOTHING WITH YAGA BECAUSE SHE CAN HEAL BUT SHE CAN'T FIGHT??? HELLO???

in the hidden inventory arc she's not even involved in missions, we have more scenes of her in the opening/ending that in the actual episodes. i don't need to know her whole story but if you put her there as the only character (beside satoru and yuta) who can use reversed technique then MAKE HER ACTUALLY USE IT WHEN NEEDED

and no, i'm not talking about this just because i want our beloved satosugu back. as a suguru kinnie i'm 100% convinced that his death was the only right option for his character from the moment he left jujustu tech. i have some mixed feelings about gojo's death but just because i think gege could've handled it better, not because i absolutely need him back like some delulu maniacs in the fandom (no offense, i'm suffering with you all but some people are crazy). but in shibuya she could've been more useful, at least in helping the students.

nobara at least has a strong personality and a cool technique, she's not just another sakura or orihime (i hate orihime but sakura is great too ofc, i just mean that nobara unlike them isn't the girl put there just to heal her male companions and have a crush on one of them) or shoko herself (and thinking about it shoko is even more useless cause sakura and orihime at least help and heal their crush).

we know a lot about her past, i was crying like a baby watching her say goodbye to fumi and then... she dies, just like that. her goal isn't even that difficult to achieve, it's not some big dream like suguru's, it's something extremely personal and she's not gonna reach it cause gege killed her. i love nobara too but honestly she doesn't have that great development merely because she dies before she can actually become stronger. everytime she fights she gets severly wounded or is there to support others or she's the one who needs support. i feel like she doesn't have her big moment before dying (like maki does for example, i know she's not dead yet but i wouldn't be so mad if it happened cause she has a great development since jjk 0. i would cry like a baby again though, pls gege don't kill her i'm begging you).

and no, i don't think nobara's death is necessary for yuji or the plot in general either. yuji has already seen nanami die in front of him, sukuna has killed who knows how many people and he could do nothing about it, he was still mad at mahito for junpei so why kill nobara too?

gege doesn't even show her in the afterlife when gojo dies (and a delulu part of me hopes that's because she's still alive), like i know that in that airport there are people from his past and the focus is on them, his blue spring and whatever but damn she's one of his students too, he talks about megumi and the fact that he still had things to explain to him but he doesn't even mention her? (he doesn't mention yuji either okay i know, i would've liked that too but at least they have a cute moment before the fight against sukuna).

instead of focusing on those that should be the main female characters we have mei mei though. don't get me wrong, she's our mommy, i'm barking (respectfully) every time i see her on screen or in the manga but is all that screentime really necessary? do i really need to see her in bed with ui ui or walking like a runway model for minutes? mmmh i don't think so.

i don't know, maybe i'm the one missing something in this story, maybe i'm not getting it completely but still, as much as i love jjk i'm mad. i could go on for days about this and what's happened in the manga these last few months, but i'm gonna stop for today.

at this point i'm convinced that gege introduced too many characters and he can't handle them properly, unlike other mangakas like horikoshi who literally shows you the backstory of every single kid you see, even the one drawn in the corner of a panel in that one chapter that everyone forgot about (horikoshi has problems handling fem characters too, but this is a whole other problem and it's something that involves a lot of different animes/mangas).

that's it, going back at crying now, thinking about how my life could be way better if i put this same effort in my studies.

JJK Men Seeing Presumed Dead S/O HCs

Consists of : Gojo Satoru, Fushiguro Megumi

Warnings : mentions of death, bloody Megumi GIF, that's it?

Summary : You were gone. And they mourned for you -they still are-, but then you show up, alive and well.

//Okay I don't usually write HCs but I thought I'd give it a shot. Also, I have like... 8 stories in my drafts that I haven't posted, either because I think they're bad or I haven't finished them "^_^ gomen! I've been super busy lately. Anyways, hope you enjoy this one! Also, I made this as gender-neutral as possible, pls do comment if you find a pronoun I slipped in by accident!

1. Satoru Gojo

Stops for a second. Like literally STOPS.

This man never shuts up, let alone freezing in the middle of a fight.

Doesn't believe it at first, but his six eyes told him nothing but the truth.

It was you. You were alive.

Honestly, he was pleasantly surprised. Usually, he was the one bringing people "back from the dead".

Would finish up the fight ASAP so he could check up on you.

You've quite a bit to explain.

Gojo was used to it. Losing people, that is. The worst anyone's ever seen him was after his best friend left him and became a curse user.

Or that's what they thought was the worst.

When you were declared dead, he refused to believe it. He started going on more missions to fill in his time as if he wasn't busy enough. But, the worst part of it all, is that he has no one to blame but himself. He can't avenge you either because the cursed spirit is dead.

You were a strong sorcerer, so he didn't really worry too much when he asked you to accompany his students on a mission. In fact, he thought his students were safe under your care.

He wasn't wrong about the latter.

When the cursed spirit showed itself, the students practically froze in fear. You were the only one who managed to move and land a quick attack before pushing Yuuji and Megumi back. You wouldn't let the damn cursed spirit hurt your boyfriend's precious students.

So you told them to run. To go find Kugisaki and run. Of course, Yuuji refused to, but Megumi dragged him. You fought the cursed spirit the best you could, maneuvering to avoid his attacks and landing your own blows. But, you could only do so much damage. It was more like a battle of endurance. And with every second, you were getting slower, your attacks became less violent, and the injuries you sustained were getting worse every second.

At last, your body gave up.

They never found your body and assumed you were destroyed in the fight between Sukuna and the cursed spirit. Or that you were probably consumed by one of the cursed spirits.

So when he tore down the curtain and he felt your cursed energy, he looked your way and froze. He didn't believe it at first, but when he noticed the way you look up at him and grinned, he returned the grin with his own.

He's definitely finishing this butcher and tree as fast as he can.

"Care to explain where you've been, Y/n-chan?"

"Well a certain someone taught me a thing or two about defying death." You smirked.

The tall male smiled widely as he scanned your figure. You were about to explain that you were alright -and that you awoke your ability to use reversed cursed technique- but before you could, he pulled you into his arms.

"Guess I don't have to worry about you getting injured or dying so easily anymore."

2. Megumi Fushiguro

Would definitely think you were a cursed spirit or a curse user with a technique that allows you to transform.

Is probably stunned for a second before his emotions get the better of him.

Will not hesitate to attack after you say something.

How dare you impersonate the love of his life?

Looking exactly like them was offensive enough, but to act and sound like them too? Now that's just unacceptable.

But when he realizes you weren't a fake, he would stop to look at you, not believing his eyes and his heart.

Then proceeds to pull you by the wrist, forcing you into his arms and completely breaking out of his usually cool, calm, and collected self.

He would hug you so tight as if you were going to disappear if he lets go.

That damned curse user. He's been at it for a while now, no matter how much Megumi attacked, none of his offenses seemed to bother his opponent too much. He was getting frustrated. Every single nick and cut on his skin made him even more pissed.

He had to win this. Even if he had to die in the process, it's fine. As long as he manages to avenge you. As a matter of fact, he wouldn't mind dying after he killed the curse user. Because he'd be able to join you. He grinned slightly as he slumped onto the floor, blood dripping onto his palm.

Hope you're waiting for me up there

He stood up, each foot planting one by one. His hands clasped as he readied himself to summon his shikigamis, but then he stopped dead in his tracks. He couldn't even move. He blinked once, twice, thrice. The figure was still there, looking away from him and blocking his view of the curse user he was facing. That's when it hit him.

It wasn't you. It must be the curse user's technique. Otherwise, how could you be there? You died just over a month ago, he'd used the past month to train, go on missions, and track the curse user down. And now he's pulling this stunt? He's going to kill this wretched being.

You turned around, facing him. You let out a sigh of relief before pulling the edges of your lips into a content smile as you saw the lover you'd left behind for the past month. It's not like you chose to, to be honest. It was because of your darn sensei. He forced asked you to stay 'dead' and help Nanami train Yuuji for a couple months. You were about to tell him when you heard pads behind you, along with a soft and unsure growl.

"Megumi, it's me." you said hesitantly, eyes going back and forth between him and the divine dog behind you.

"Shut up! Don't say another word. Stop it."

You parted your lips to say something, but pressed them into a thin line before lifting your right arm, you open your palm and sparks appeared. The same little sparks you made to calm him down when you were kids.

His expression fell, and he stood up straight, making his way with unsure steps. His eyebrows furrowed slightly and his eyes were filled with silent pleads, almost as if he's begging the universe to tell him this really is real.

"It's you." He let out. And you nodded in response.

He reached for your wrist and pulled you into his arms, head buried in the crook of your neck. His arms were around you, and he squeezed you ever so slightly.

You couldn't see it, but he was absolutely breaking. His eyes leaking tears, lips quivering, and jaw tense as he tried to convince himself this is real.

You pat his back with, returning the hug. Humming a tune as your other hand ran through his hair.

"Don't ever leave me again."

anyways, (canon) utahime has my whole heart and soul i love that woman. (pls help i forget if sy is the second series sometimes) sy!utahime… i don’t hate her, she’s not like cassie, she definitely shows that she feels guilt and genuinely doesn’t want to cause more pain for yn, what confuses me tho is that similarly to cassie, she’s going for her best friends abusive ex…. you heard what he did, you know he’s barely healed yet, mfer was begging on his knees for a second chance with yn a couple nights before you guys fucked, are you not sincerely embarrassed??? like i think utahime is a character who deserves to be selfish and be loved and feel needed and wanted, but it’s also kinda clear that (and i hate to say this) yn’s not really over gojo, she sees a stable future with toji, but being in a relationship for stability =/= being in love. and seeing the man you still love or at least cherish, fall in love with or move onto someone who’s literally your best friend? homegirls def dying from angina, if i was her i’d be ☠️ already LMFAO. anyways i hope yn and toji are able to grow a love for each other and mutually understand they don’t necessarily need to be over their first loves to be able to love again?

JJK chapter 144 thoughts/review/analysis

Lots of thoughts...

- I LOVE YUTA. He’s an absolute badass but also still the same old cinnamon roll. Truly a senpai deserving of Megumi’s respect. I love how he looks after his all his classmates and kouhais. Look at my cinnamon roll.

- Yuji is back on his feet again. GOOD. My boy always finds strength to get back on his feet.

- Yuji’s request to Yuta to kill him if Sukuna takes over again has me worrying... (also, Yuta accepting his request so casually😅 It’s cool tho that both Yuji and Yuta have so much faith in his abilities. And ma man Yuta is still so humble.)

- They’ve got so much to deal with rn. The culling game, retrieving the prison realm, finding a way to unseal Gojo, the Brain in general... and Tengen - we don’t know where he stands...

- But I’m looking forward to the students working together again. Especially since Yuta is finally back. We lost Gojo but at least we have Yuta and Tsukumo on our side. Things don’t look too dark.

- Tsukumo not vibing with the higher ups either, I see 😂 Good, good.

- Yuji asking about Nobara’s condition while they were in the middle of discussing their plan on what to do next just goes to show how much it’s weigthing on him...

- Ok now, EVERYONE PLS CALM DOWN. I’m sure Nobara is alive - for now at least. We don’t know what her status was (or how much Yuji knew about her status) before Yuji left but she surely was alive/not dead yet at that time. Megumi would have said she died if that was the case. There’s no reason to hold this kind of fact from Yuji. It just doesn’t make sense to withhold this kind of irreversible information from him. It wouldn’t spare him from anything if she’s really already dead. It’d just unnecessarily keep him in a state of pointless hope. I think it’s really just that she’s still in critical condition. There’s no real change in her condition so he didn’t say anything. Also, I trust that Gege is a good enough writer to not play us with fake hope just to come back dozens of chapters later to be like “oh, btw she actually already died”. And I mean, Nobara is one of the main three characters. It’s too early for her to go (even for a ruthless series like JJK).

^ Yuji’s reaction to that looks quite devastating nonetheless. But I think the reaction would be much bigger if she was dead. Him tightening his fist and saying “I get it“ (or “I see/understand“ in the other TL) points to a lot of tension but also to him still holding on to the little bit of hope he has been holding on to. It was a sad expression at first but then he tightens his fist and the last panel to this shows a change of his expression from sad/devasted to one with a glimpse of... determination?(- he doesn’t look as shaken as before is what I mean). And just his overall demeanor after that doesn’t imply that he just learned of Nobara’s death. I’m sure she’ll survive and be as badass as ever and with cool eyepatch or something. Girls with battlescars FTW!

- Listen Gege, you didn’t have to go that far to change Maki’s hairstyle...

- So I take it that Maki is pretty much all good now? I was a little worried because the expression in her eye doesn’t show the same energy/detemination as before (or is it just me?). Also, to hell with the Zenin clan ppl. Maki on deathbed? Haha. She’s ready to kick you guys’ asses anytime.

^ Yuta rushing to Maki’s side all concerned is really cute

^ I’m so happy for you, Choso. And sorry that you (and your burst of happiness) got ignored by everyone right after and Yuji also just turned around and went ahead with his bro Megumi lol.

^ Damn, those bloodstains gave me major chills.

^ “That’s when everything began to get distorted” - I feel like there’s much more to it then we think...

- And what’s up with Tsukumo? Why’d she get rejected? What does Tengen not interfering with the outside world have to do with the Six Eyes? (Did he not interfere because Gojo was powerful enough to take care of things outside or is there some other history between them?)

^ We finally get to meet Tengen and THIS IS HOW HE LOOKS LIKE??? JJK character face reveals tend to have me 🤣 Tengen-sama... I always pictured him like some sorta old, wrinkled but badass looking gramps or some other creature. Definitely anything but this xD (Just like how I never expected Gojo to look prettier than any shojo protagonist lol)

So let's say Nori's s/o is kind of a foreseer and also a Gojo(ngl I'd like to be one so that I CAN KICK THEIR ASSES AND TURN JUJUTSU WORLD UPSIDE DOWN WITH GOJO) She didn't know she was one before so she did treat Nori like shit because you know "CLAN SHIT" But even though she says "I don't have feeling for him./ I don't care if he dies." etc.. Everyone knows the truth and is like "Hoe you're head over heels." But now, she knows what she is and in this way, she also saw the past, everything he had been through etc.

She saw/knows everything that will happen as well and now thinks that she doesn't deserve redemption and since she knows what's gonna happen, she secretly finds his mom and makes a protection shield to protect her. And then before all that "Sealing Gojo, killing Yuuji and principal Yaga, Toge's arm and Yuuta losing his mind" shit, in order to change everything and preventing deaths, she fights with the enemy alone( BECAUSE WE STAN WOMEN SUPREMACY) She created a powerful shield that nobody can break and she and Nori have a very emotional talk, he begs for her to not to go and stay with him, tells her that they all can fight together but she refuses and tells "Don't worry your mom is safe and I hope you will find the right woman for yourself since I don't deserve kindness for the shit I've done." Etc...

Since she is a Gojo, she also has Six Eyes and Limitless technique and let's say she also copies other cursed energies/ techniques, she uses all of them at the same time and she defeats the enemy but she doesn't come back.... Nori screams in agony( like Emma from The promised neverland kind of scream. If you don't know, you may watch that scene in youtube. That damn shit gives me goosebumbs), whimpers and clutches their rings so tightly tbat his hand might break. He is alone again and didn't have the chance to tell to the girl he loves the most that he always loved her, that there was nothing to forgive...

Everybody is devastated but especially Gojo, Nori, Yuji ( I'd do everyhing to have someone like him. As a brother or S/O, doesn't matter)and Maki and Nobara( since I believe they are besties 'cause 🌠 W O M E N🌠 )

They always thought that she was emotionless but in reality she cared for every each of them and for their happiness, she sacrifaced hers and now they all have to live with this guilt.....

BONUS PART

Since she can also see the past how about she also knows what the other clans did. Like all the bad shit, everything that can end with their death? She wrote a huge letter about every one of them but especially Kamo Clan so that even if she dies, Nori would surely become the new leader.

Basically Nori is this GIF in his room. He breaks down etc...But unknown to everyone, she is barely alive and fights tooth and nail to stay alive.

She somehow returns back, since girls are still outside trying to calm themselves( She show kindness for Mai, she always eat Momo's special ramen, she always talked with Miwa about her family and offered to help them whenever they need, she always went to shopping with Nobara, she always sparred with Maki and when she was stressed she was always there as a shoulder to cry/rely on. They are all bad but then Momo or Miwa sees her trying to come back to them. They shout to others and Shoko, they come and get her but Shoko tells them that there is a high chance of her not making it alive.

They tell Nori but he doesn't believe and rhen Megumi, or Yuji maybe even Todo punches him, fight with him and tells him to stop this shit and get off his ass and goes to her.

When he sees her, he breaks down again. He holds her hand tightly, lifts it to his forehead and swears that when she wakes up, they are gonna get married, that he will make her the happiest woman. He talks about his future plan, but not about clan, he talks about the family they will built( since now he is the leader, he can have as much children as he wants, since there will be no misogynist)

His mom comes everday as well when Nori has to fix all of the shitty things of his clan. Day after day, they hope for her to wake up but day by day they all start to loose hope, til one day when Nori begs for her to wake up one more time. He tells her that he doesn't want to have a family of his own if it's not with her. He starts to leave until he hears a voice say "I.. didn't know that... You'd have... this kind of... dreams."

WOAHHH IT TOOK SO LONG TO WRITE THIS I SWEAR IF TUMBLR ERASES THAT IMMA GO KICK SOME ASSES! IT'S LIKE 9 AM AND I SRATED RO WRITE THIS LIKE I DUNNO 1 HOUR AGO! I REALLY LOVE SUFFERING! MAMA PLEASE WHEN YOU ARE DONE WITH THE CANDIES AND OTHER REQUESTS, CONSIDER TO WRITE SOMETHING LIKE THIS TOO!

It didn't eat it! But also, lololing at the being a Gojo just to have the power to yell at people bc honestly, we need someone other than a 6'4 candy eating twink telling people they're wrong (sorry Satoru but like...no one will take you seriously look at you)

But I'm a sucker for a happy ending. Just give Noritoshi his mom and a happy ending. Istg if Gege Senpai really gives him a shit end I'ma throw hands bc like, c'mon we can have a shred of happiness Gege Senpai pls.

Also I love the idea but honestly i probably won't be able to write something like this. My mental health is shit and my ability to write is going right down with it 😀 But honestly you should write this! I mean you already have almost all of it thought out ♡

1. The scene where y/n ended up getting cold feet, was she remembering her first marriage? Was she thinking that it'd end up like the first one? I just wasn't sure if I read that correctly.

2. Which of the characters ship GojoY/n? TojiY/n? Or Y/n's happiness? What about you 👀? I'm curious as to what the numbers look like...

3. I had a feeling Gojo would be wearing his ring even after the divorce, and yet it still hurts 🥺 then you just had to make him reach for Y/n's ring right on his deathbed 🥲

4. You definitely foreshadowed the car accident when he was speeding on the way home to reconcile with Y/n didn't you (after the company's anniversary)??? That was the first thing that popped in my head when he was speeding before the accident!

5. Did Toji ever feel like he was being compared to Gojo during his relationship with Y/n? Has she ever subconsciously thought of Gojo during those times spent with Toji??

6. I'm glad munchkin is still alive co-parent au when 😩??? What's his name? Sachiro, pls let it be Sachiro 🥺
