haven’t watched the dsmp finale or anything but ceret is the only character ever actually. from what ive seen and read im really happy that she gets the arc she deserved and the credit she deserves and i hope cceret knows that she wrote a character that was so deeply moving to me and that. like legit left me brain rotting for 2 straight years. ceret forever in my heart. blorbo i will never forget.

god that stream was very good

and i think it is also a phenomenal example of limited perspective and unreliable narrators.

cuz god, it was really nice to see c!eret go off at c!wilbur about all the ways he hurt them. but also on the other hand they were also making a judgement of his intentions based solely on this singular interaction they have had.

and yeah the initial apology to c!eret was forced, and not very genuine, something he admitted, but then c!eret took that as him not having realized the consequences of his actions AT ALL which is just blatantly false. and i can’t blame them but also aaaaaaaaa

this is their first interaction in the year since c!wilbur has been revived, so they just, don’t know about everything he’s done and tried to do. they don’t have the full story, and they’re working with what they’ve got, but sometimes the results of that are just, a smidgen away from hitting right on c!wilbur’s root problem

like, c!eret’s observation about c!wilbur attempting to get the apologies over with and run off was very good but i don’t think they realized the actual implications behind that. his haste is less because he wants to get the apologies over with so he doesn’t have to apologize anymore, it’s because he wants to leave, whether that’s in a physical sense or death sense we are yet to find out. he doesn’t want to be around anymore and he wants peoples last impressions of him to at least be somewhat positive.

11 - untitled, AU where c!Eret gets custody of c!Dream after c!Techno's breakout

This is single-handedly the best out of all my WIPs and also the most confusing AU for me because I've never been a c!Dream apologist but just this once I would let him have a redemption arc and very very tentative bonding with c!Eret. I'd probably tone down his canon atrocities to something more redeemable for me personally though. The conversations this one would have... Exquisite.

That said: I only wrote a couple of paragraphs for it. Enjoy!

"You could've given actual food to your friends and just fed me whatever's left, then," Dream says. A warning signal in Eret's brain turns on: danger. This could be Dream's way of learning just how many people she has by her side; and Eret may be lonely, but that's not for him to know. 

" I wouldn't be a king if I didn't have enough resources to treat all my subjects well," she settles on instead, putting the bread and the steaks in their slots in the chest. As much as her own chests are a mess, she's trying to keep everything neat here so it's easier to keep track of how much Dream has eaten and which items he has taken. 

"Still holding on to that title?" Dream asks, and there's an audible grin in his voice. Eret straightens, turns back to him:

"Well, it's not like you could take it away from me now."

"Touché," he says simply, chuckling and slumping back against the wall. His expression is unreadable behind the mask, but Eret thinks – Eret hopes – for a moment there he was considering her as an equal rival."
