It's here!!!!!!! The Ryuseitai Trip Album cover is finally here!!!!!

Ahh, my sweet boys, they all look so pretty and cool and handsome! And I love how their outfits remind me of their Comet Show oufits! Tetora, Midori, and Shinobu are all up front, taking center stage in the shot while Chiaki and Kanata are to the sides and more to the back. But they're all standing together, as one unit! Five incredibly and wonderful individuals who make up the brilliant Ryuseitai!

And here's the preview for Ryuseitai's new song, which we'll get an MV of once we get the album release on March 6th, New Daybreak! Once again, Ryuseitai refuses to release any bad songs, it's banger after banger after banger with them!

Looks like the lyricist is Maori Kodama. I can't find any information on them other than they're also the one who wrote the lyrics for Bokura no Stella from Ryuseitai's Stella Maris story. And that song is the current love of my life, so I totally look forward to hearing what lyrics they came up with for New Daybreak! EDIT: Okay, turns out Google Translate and the Enstars Wiki was just lying to me...The lyricist's ACTUAL name is Saori Kodama. In which case, there is PLENTY of info on her! She has a long history of song writing under her belt, with plenty of anime being graced by her music. And, from what I'm seeing, it looks like she was especially involved in magical girl anime! She also has written prior stuff for Enstars other than Bokura no Stella and New Daybreak. So yeah, how fun that Ryuseitai's new album will have both tokusatsu AND magical girl influences!

The arrangement of the song is being done by Shuhei Naruse. He's done compositions for several Kamen Rider series and some Mega Man anime as well!

And the composer of the song is Hironobu Kageyama. A singer and composer who has done a TON of music for a variety of tokusatsu series as well as several anime, including famously being the singer for Dragon Ball Z's first, and honestly most well known, opening theme "Cha-La Head-Cha-La".

Having two people who are known for their work on tokusatsu shows working on a song for Ryuseitai is perfect! And from the preview alone I am already loving the feel of this song. Can't wait for the full version.....Especially when we get the MV!!!!

So yeah, I've already preordered the limited edition version of the album. So I am ready for that Ryuseitai musical goodness! Especially since we will be getting full versions of Bokura no Stella and Relax Paradise too! Aaaaaahhhh!!! I love you Ryuseitai!!!!!

oof I drew this months ago but just now remembered to post it whoops. Here are my next gen teenager OC’s!

From left to right: Iida Tenri (Iichako kid) Kirishima Eimi (Kiribaku kid) Tetsutetsu Tetora (Tetsukendo kid) and Kaminari Kirari (Shinkami kid) 

Character dynamics will be under the cut!

Kirari, Tenri, and Eimi: These three girls have been close friends since they were little kids. With Kirari being one year older than Tenri and Eimi, she’s seen as the “big sister” of the group. Eimi is passionate and thinks with her heart while Tenri is logical and looks to facts for solutions, so Kirari tries her best to find the middle ground between the two. But because she can’t help herself, Kirari also tends to rope her besties into her troublesome pranks (especially aimed at her parents) Conversations between them last way too long and not a single hour of sleep will ever be slept at their sleepovers. 

Eimi and Tetora: Due to the brotherly connection between Kirishima and Testutetsu, Eimi and Tetora are basically cousins. Tetora is quite shy, so being around the boisterous Eimi can sometimes be overwhelming for him. Eimi tries to rope him into her obsessions of vampires and brooding anime characters, to which he will politely follow along, knowing he won’t have much of a choice anyways. Being the romantic she is, Eimi does everything in her power to be the best wingman possible for him. Despite Tetora’s inability to relate to Eimi, he is grateful to have her as his friend and wouldn’t change her for the world. 

Kirari and Tetora: Tetora knew about Kirari from his cousin’s close relationship with her, but he wasn’t formally introduced to her until they were put in the same class their first year of high school. Tetora’s quirk is “Iron Fist”, so his hands can harden into steel. He always gets comments on how he’d be a great fighter, but he’s actually quite passive, and wants nothing to do with fighting. When sharing off their quirks on the first day of class, Kirari told Tetora that his quirk would be “great for kneading the shit outta some dough.” It was the first non-fighting related comment he’d ever been told about his quirk. At this, he immediately fell in love. Kirari’s feeling for Tetora started off platonic, but overtime, she found his gentle nature to be reassuring, and she wanted to spend more and more time with him (though she’s still more subtle about her feelings than he is) Besides, she always found him to be kinda cute...

Eimi and Tenri: Though they’re usually in their classic trio, Eimi and Tenri have spent plenty of time with just the two of them. Being in the same class, they spend all their school time together. Most of that time is spent getting into heated debates over which select love triangle romance options are compatible for the heroine of whatever media obsession Eimi has to bring to the table. Since they tend to approach their outlooks from completely different sides, these debates hardly ever get solved without a third party opinion. However, Tenri often lends a hand to Eimi for emotional support. Whenever Eimi gets discouraged by an unsuccessful romantic endeavor, she always offers to take the place of her date, saying “you can do all those things with a friend too!” Because of this, Eimi can always depend on Tenri, and always goes to her first for anything.

Can you do a JaeYona fanfiction prompt for me? I want a story where Yona's problem with not eating for long periods of time when she gets really stressed resurfaces? I noticed that Yona had that problem mentioned a couple times in the series, but it never really gets brought up again, and I could see Jae Ha and some of the others getting really concerned over it. I hope this isn't too sudden, but I'm surprised that there aren't more fanfictions that bring it up and I'd like if somebody wrote one

“Daddy! Daddy!” tiny voices could be heard running across the hallways of the palace as King Jae-ha turned to see his twin children rushing towards him. He was currently sitting with his cane watching Hak, Ura, Hawke and Shiro practice, Lina bouncing her 6-year-old Krystal in her lap and giggling at her silly siblings. The child squealed when she’d feel her unborn sibling kick at her, considering Lina was 6 months pregnant with her next child. Sitting next to her was her second daughter, Jin-ae, who was named after the first Queen of Kouka, Hiryuu’s wife.

 “Here comes Aki and Mido, Uncle Jae-ha.” Hinto, Shin-ah’s 10-year-old son chuckled as he at saw them coming with his dragon’s eye.

 “Aka-dori? Mido-ka? What is it?” Jae-ha asked once the two children arrived. They were 5 years old, the girl with long raven hair and the boy with short ginger hair.  The girl had clear blue eyes and the boy had green.

 “Mommy won’t eat!” Aki cried, whimpering. “The cooks don’t know what to do she didn’t eat breakfast and now she says she doesn’t want lunch.”

 Hak stopped his practice run and sighed, shaking his head. “… She’s still upset over…” he glanced to Zeno who nodded.

 “We all miss former Seiryuu and Hakuryuu.” The Yellow Dragon answered. “It didn’t help they passed only a year apart. Not to mention former Ryokuryuu lately has…”

 “Oh please, I’m just fine.” Jae-ha waved him off. “I mean seriously Lina’s 22 now, I honestly thought I would have long kicked the bucket by now.”

 “Yeah and you fell down the stairs the other day again, Droopy Eyes.” Hak growled. “You gave her a heart attack.”

 “Hak come on, you have enough on your plate.” Jae-ha looked at him sadly, after all Valerie had just passed away in childbirth a year ago. “No point in me bothering you all the time to get around.”

 “But I can help you uncle!” Shiro, the current 12-year-old Hakuryuu said while extending his arm.

 “Precious child.” Jae-ha hummed, petting the boy on the head. He sure had his father’s enthusiasm.

 Tetora smiled as she hugged her son from behind. “You’re always so eager to help.”

 “Really guys I’ll tend to my wife, lead the way treasures.” Jae-ha hummed, Aki and Mido eagerly rushed back in. “But don’t run or you’ll…”

 “GAH!” Gigan, Jae-ha’s middle daughter growled as the twins nearly plowed her over when they ran past her, the 16-year-old looking rather annoyed. “Aki! Mido! Watch where you’re going!” she growled as she almost dropped the books she was holding.

 “Done with your lesson already Gigi?” Hawke called out to his older sister.

 “Yes which you skipped!” Gigan snapped at him, her eyebrow twitching at the nickname. “What kind of prince are you when all you want to do is run off and learn fighting with our Uncle Hak? Seriously you can’t solve everything with your muscles idiot.”

 “Not everyone enjoys lessons like you do Gigan.” Lina giggled.

 Jae-ha laughed, petting Gigan on the head. “My smart little treasure. You’re going to make a fine queen someday you know.”

 That made the raven-haired girl blush. “F-father really I mean I would be honored if mother were to choose me but I’m not the oldest…”

 “You really think Lina wants the throne?” Jae-ha snorted.

 “Hell no, I’m traveling with Ura after the kids are grown.” Lina rolled her eyes and took her husband’s hand. “I’m a Ryokuryuu my job is to protect our mother and eventually I’ll protect the future king and queen. Which could be you and Shiro when you get married.” She teased.

 Shiro practically choked as he turned red at that. “I-I-I… T-that’s n-not funny Lina!”

 “LINA!” Gigan’s face turned into a fireball. “I’m not you I don’t go around marrying our cousins!”

 “Please, Kija and I weren’t exactly blood brothers just dragon brothers.” Jae-ha hummed. “Otherwise Shiro & Hinto would be Lina’s brothers with their dragon connection. Besides look how happy Ura and Lina are you know I sure won’t complain…”

 “FATHER THAT’S NOT FUNNY!” Gigan shouted, looking ready to explode. “GAH! Why am I the only normal one in this crazy family?!”

 Jae-ha laughed how his daughter would always have a meltdown over things like this. The rest of his children got his carefree attitude and Gigan was more like her namesake it made me smile. “Anyway where’s your mother? I hear she’s being stubborn again.”

 “In the library.” Gigan answered after she settled down. “One of the scholars just dropped off a new scroll with her and she said she was putting it away…. She was forcing a smile so I was going to bring her a new specimen from Kai that my instructor brought.” She held up an orange colored orchid. “Give it to her father, you know new flowers for her garden always cheers her up.”

 Jae-ha nodded, smiling as he took the flower. “I will my dear. Try to not let your siblings drive you insane.”

 Gigan looked at him deadpan. “Don’t ask for the impossible, father.”

 Jae-ha snorted, then kissed her forehead and headed on for the library. His twins ran so far ahead of him he shook his head as they found their mother first, her back to them and not even noticing they entered as she was looking over a scroll.

 Tears floated down Yona’s cheeks as it was a new illustration of her and her Four Dragons surrounding her, along with many of the tales the scholars sat her down and made her recall because they wanted to make a full record of the second incarnation of King Hiryuu. Shin-ah’s funeral was only a few weeks ago and she still wasn’t over the loss of both Kija and Valerie. She sobbed to herself as she clutched the parchment close, hating the fact her family was slowly being torn apart but at the same time blessed she had so many happy years with them…

 “Mommy!” Aki and Mido were suddenly hugging her ankles, snapping her out of her trance. “Mommy! We brought you something!” the twins bounced on their toes as they pulled back.

 “Oh what is it you two? Don’t tell me you’re trying to butter me up because you set the garden on fire again.” Yona sighed, bending down to her kids to pet them on the head.

 “No mommy that was an accident we swear!” Aki whimpered.

 “Even though it happened three times.” Mido squirmed.

 Jae-ha chuckled as he walked in. “They’re just worried about you my lovely, here. A gift from Gigan.” He handed her the flower, bringing a small smile the queen’s face.

 “It’s lovely.” Yona said, joining him in standing. “But you should be resting.” She scolded her husband.

 “I’m behaving.” Jae-ha hummed, leaning on his cane for support. He tried to hide the fact he was trying to catch his breath from the walk over, lately just getting out of bed was a chore for the aging dragon.

 Yona brushed her fingers over his bangs, noting the sweat on his forehead as she chided him. “You can’t hide from me, husband. Sit down.” She pushed him into a nearby chair that the twins helped bring closer. “Or else I’ll let our terror twins tie you down again.”

 “Can we mommy?!” Aki cried, excitement dancing in her eyes.

 Jae-ha snorted. “Now you’re using the kids against me, that’s not fair love.”

 “You use them against me so it’s only fair.” Yona giggled, kissing him playfully as she pulled away. “Aki, Mido, go get something from the chefs for daddy along with his medicine from Grandma Yoon ok?”

 “Ok mommy!” Mido darted off, Aki rushing after him.

 “I’ll only eat if you do.” Jae-ha said in a sing-song voice.

 Yona made a face. “I’m not hungry.”

 The Ryokuryuu sighed, grabbing her hands. “… Love… Come on it’s not your fault. You know Shin-ah and Kija wouldn’t want you to feel guilty.”

 “But…” Yona choked, tears in her eyes as her hands trembled. “If only I wasn’t… And one day the same will happen to our own daughter and then… I was so absorbed in worrying about you I never thought that they would…”

 Jae-ha pulled her into his lap, giving her a long kiss full of love while caressing her back. “Shhhh, it’s ok love. It’s only natural, my successor was born first after all everyone even Zeno expected me to die by now. It’s a strange miracle I’ve lasted this long. Guess Ik-su wasn’t kidding when he said our child is twice blessed and I wouldn’t die as soon as I thought.” He kissed away her tears as he brushed her crimson hair. “But that doesn’t change the fact that they both loved you and wouldn’t want you upset. They lived wonderful lives here by your side and found their beautiful wives. Their children are safe here and we’ve basically broken the curse of Ryokuryuu and Seiryuu villages as their lines will continue here where they are celebrated not hated. We might even mix dragon blood with the way Gigan and Shiro are crushing on each other.”

 Yona rolled her eyes. “Stop playing match maker with our children.”

 “It worked with Lina didn’t it?” Jae-ha hummed, kissing her cheek. “… Please love, you’ve barely ate anything all week or do I have to pop another treasure inside you to make you take care of yourself?” he offered, fluttering his eyelashes at her.

 Yona turned bright red at that, squirming in his lap. “… I-I… I can’t do that, they might never meet their…” she sadly brushed his cheek.

 “Think of it as me leaving you a treasure behind my love.” Jae-ha hummed, pressing his forehead against hers. “Besides we know they won’t be lonely with as many siblings as they’ll have. Just think about it love.” He gave her another kiss. “After all I don’t seem to have the stamina I used to in my prime.”

 “What a crime.” Yona giggled slightly, smiling warmly at her husband. “… Thank you Jae-ha… You and all the dragons helped me find the greatest happiness in my life. I just…. Hate the thought of waking up without you by my side.” She choked.

 Jae-ha looked at her sadly. “… I know, I feel the same. But the kingdom and our family need you love. Besides… You know I’ll be waiting for you on the other side.”

 “Jae-ha….” Yona sobbed, her eyes threatening to let out another waterfall of tears until she heard the sounds of her twins rushing back into the room.

 “We got food mommy! You gotta eat too!” Mido said, holding up a tray that was bigger than he was of food as Aki was holding Jae-ha’s medicine.

 Yoon stood in the doorway as he came behind them, holding a second tray. “Yona how many times have I told you that you can’t skip meals like this?”

 Yona pursed her lips as she crawled out of her husband’s lap. “… I told you kids just to get your father’s medicine not tell on me.”

 Aki giggled. “But Grandma Yoon is your advisor and he can advise you to eat!”

 “Not like she ever takes my advice when it’s about her health lately she’s as bad as her husband.” Yoon rolled his eyes, looking over Jae-ha and handing him a powder. “Now take that or else you’re on bedrest the rest of the week.”

 “Thank you mother.” Jae-ha teased, though the boy genius was so used to it that didn’t even faze him anymore.

 “We just don’t want you to get sick mommy please?” Aki bat her eyes at Yona, looking ready to cry. “Daddy gets sick enough and you take care of him so who’s going to take care of you if you feel bad?”

 “Me probably.” Yoon mumbled under his breath.

 Yona groaned as she took a seat, her twins at her legs immediately trying to force her something to eat as she sighed and grabbed a bread roll. “Fine, I’m eating are you guys happy now?” she then had the kids put the tray down on the table full of books as she lifted them into her arms, kissing their cheeks. “You two are too precious, so worried about me and your silly daddy.”

 “Because daddy makes you cry when he gets hurt!” Mido whimpered. “You’ll make daddy cry if you get sick.”

 Jae-ha hummed. “That’s right dear, don’t you know it’s a crime to make the king cry?” he tried to tease.

 “Don’t you start.” Yona snapped. “It’s not my fault I was tired last week and you insisted on trying to carrying me to my room like a stubborn fool.”

 Yoon groaned. “Don’t remind me. I’m the one the kids got when they found you two at the bottom of the stairs.”

 “So I can’t land as gracefully as I used to…” Jae-ha rubbed his cheek in embarrassment as he chuckled, then grabbed something off the tray for himself to get the bitter taste of the medicine out of his mouth.

 Yona sighed at that. “Sorry. I guess I have been worrying you guys just…”

 “Well all miss them.” Yoon gave her a hug. “… Just know that you aren’t alone, ok? And we can’t lose you too. This idiot will probably jump off a cliff to join you if you die on him.” He jabbed a thumb at Jae-ha.

 “Yoon not in front of the little ears.” Jae-ha groaned, not exactly denying it.

 “No die mommy!” Aki and Mido clung to their mother tightly. “You can’t leave us!”

 Yona wilted at that, hugging her twins tightly. “… You’re right. I’m not leaving you kids anytime soon I swear.” She kissed each of their foreheads. “And now go tell daddy he can’t leave you either so he has to stay stubborn for at least a few more years.” She smirked, letting them go as they rushed to their father.

 “Daddy! Daddy! You too!” Aki cried, clinging to his legs as Mido tugged on his robes.

 “Oh you little darlings I wouldn’t dare leave you just yet, I have to keep seeing all the trouble you get into come here!” Jae-ha smirked, lifting the kids into his lap and smothering them with kisses. “My precious little treasures.”

 Yona smiled at the sight, hoping that her precious family could stay together just a bit while longer…

Ensemble Stars Episode 3 Analysis

There were...so many things to talk about this episode…

I’ve been trying to collect my thoughts all day so I don’t miss anything (though I inevitably will) but let’s go!

It only took three whole episodes but they’re finally calling her something other than ‘producer’ or ‘transfer student’.

He’s adorable, but it really makes me want to meet the rest of anime!Ryuseitai.

HELP

I mentioned this on twitter but they really are doing the most to make sure we know Anzu’s not supposed to be romantically linked to any of the boys.  In the game a lot of the starter cards are done in a way that looks...at least like there’s a possibility it’s supposed to be shippy but here instead of Kuro handing the handkerchief to her himself like in his initial 4* card Tetora just carries it across the room.

This whole thing was done really well, because it’s not like Kuro’s ever been outright antagonistic during the times that we’ve seen him but we also know by now that he’s not exactly thrilled with how the student council is handling things; him saying it outright to someone from a unit that’s challenging them is a pretty big statement, though.  

I LOVE HOW THEY DID THIS TOO; Kuro being skilled at costume-making is such a charming thing about his character and definitely not something new viewers would expect after watching him up until now.  

They don’t actually show what Anzu asked but I’m guessing that’ll be revealed at a later time (and since we don’t see Trickstar’s unit outfits this episode it doesn’t really come into play yet, either).

The most intimidating grandpa Rei will ever look

I think this is an important distinction to make, too, since even though the system within the school is rigged toward the student council, they still have to be good enough to win the votes of people they can’t directly influence - in that way, it makes sense that Akatsuki is excellent in their own right despite having a major advantage for some of the lives they perform.  

I love this??  I love this.  Mao being the double agent that literally everyone knows about is already really interesting, but the anime is doing a good job of showing that he’s conflicted about it, too.  Because Mao...is genuinely on the student council because he wants to be, he’s not there to spy for Trickstar, and I’m glad they’re putting emphasis on it since it’s important going forward.

Kaoru it’s the cafeteria, all the students are in there literally every day, please.  (Also to everyone who changed the subtitles here to say ‘hey everyone, my name is Kaoru Hakaze, I was born on November 3rd…’ thank you for your service)

I call foul on this though, when has Kaoru ever done this (talked about it, yes, but in reality?  I’m suspicious).

I appreciate this too because of...future event spoilers, but Rei and Kaoru being equal in terms of their abilities is nice to see mentioned.  

...I have no reason to post this other than I like the...composition.  Yes.  That’s it.  

Fangs.  Also they do kind of set this up as ‘Rei knows about Mao because he’s Rei and he knows everything’ when the truth is closer to ‘Rei knows about Mao because Mao has come over to his house almost every day since he was a kid.’  

I’m biased because Mao’s always been one of my favs, but I’m glad he got some really good focus this episode.

I’m glad the anime remembers that one of Mao’s skills is breakdancing because the game sure never seems to.

‘Serious conversations by the vending machine’ is definitely an anime trope but this scene is subtle in the way that it shows how perceptive Mao is because he’s noticed these things about Makoto and how he doesn’t think he’s at the same level as the rest of Trickstar. 

This anime really loves their Ominous Silhouettes.  It’s also really odd to see Knights without Leo in the middle.

This scene was...weird.  In the original and in the stageplay it’s just Makoto and Mao so Izumi saying these things when Makoto doesn’t have four whole people backing him up makes them seem a lot more threatening than here in a bright practice room with his whole unit and Anzu behind him.  Izumi also gets a lot more...physical...in other iterations of the story and I get why they’d take that out here but it does diminish the threat he’s supposed to pose somewhat.  

Makoto standing up for himself is always great, though.

THIS LINE.  This is so important, because this is the essence of Izumi’s character and it’s so fascinating how he makes it sound like a threat when it’s really coming from a place of concern.  Izumi has seen what the industry can do to people he loves first-hand and he’ll do anything - even if it’s really ill-advised - to stop that from happening to anyone else he cares about.  

Also ouch.

(I know there’s more to the whole thing but it really did get expanded upon much more quickly than I’d anticipated!)

Again, though, we’ve already...seen Natsume...I guess they want to keep his identity as one of the oddballs secret but he was already writing curses on the front walk of the school so it’s not really a stretch to connect him here.

THIS IS SO DRAMATIC but I love that they bothered to change the silhouettes to match their appearance from the year before (even Kanata’s mullet is there).  

Considering Rei’s past...relationship with the student council, I’d hope he wouldn’t hate it entirely…

Someone mentioned the similarities between this and one of Ritsu’s lines from Checkmate Knights, but both of the Sakuma brothers have this...recurring theme about kind of being stagnant while the world around them keeps moving and I like that it’s a consistent trait with them. 

Tori’s ahoge is just moving independently throughout this shot and it’s amusing.

Izumi, alone in his classroom because everyone else (save for Chiaki) is either performing or absent (why is 3-A such a mess)

Keito just looking toward Eichi’s empty chair...I see…

I didn’t even register that they were singing Gate of the Abyss until I saw it in the credits but nice, especially with this line from Kuro overtop of it.

THIS WAS SO GOOD, Keito and Rei have such a fascinating relationship and I don’t know if the anime will expand on the whole Deadmanz thing or not but I love their whole ‘bitter exes’ vibe at this point in the year and the tension is so palpable here.  

I...if Souma says ‘roger-dodger’ in the dub I’m going to lose it...why…

Melody in the Dark was the first Enstars song I ever listened to (and then I forgot other songs existed and just listened to it on repeat for a good few days before moving on) but this was everything I could have wished for.

Okay thinking about Rei’s new card where he’s running away from bats lessens the effect of this a little, but this entire performance is still so well put-together.

Keito you almost look cool here  (I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before but I tend to give a lot of the characters I really love a hard time, it’s all in good fun.  Keito’s solidly in my top ten at this point so he’s very dear to me).

The beginning of this ending with the Trickstar logo and colors confused me a bit since the song was obviously...not theirs…

Me, thinking about how they’ll probably be the next collection event in the game: Oh Good!

But that brings us to the end!  I can’t believe I wrote almost 1500 words on this episode but I guess that means we’re really getting into the meat of the main story now.  Overall while they’re still rushing/skipping some things I feel like the scenes they’re including are being developed more fully than they were in especially the first episode and the characters are starting to show more of their personalities.

It’d be a shame for it to come to an abrupt stop during the middle of it! You need to continue on, keep their memory in your heart, but don’t let it stop you. No one is replaceable, so ple~ase don’t take my word as that. but it IS possible to find another who can bring you up. And if not, oh well! Hokuto won’t play Just Dance until everyone in the room goes through one very long warm up session with him because “the risk of injury is still here”

Leo believes in conspiracy theories and posts obscure videos on Youtube. Whenever Keito tries to prove him wrong, he starts shouting Keito’s “just a disgusting reptilian anyway”.

Hinata once german-supplexed Yuta in the middle of the crowded cafeteria for no valid reason. Yuta then tried to choke him.

Chiaki loves to hold tokusatsu viewing sessions (actually just sleepovers) at his house with the other Ryuseitai members, but anyone interested in tokusatsu is also invited !!

Shinobu introduced Souma to Naruto. Sometimes they can be seen watching it together on days when they don’t have practice.

Arguing with Wataru is extremely dangerous. He’s likely to just bombard you with doves and roses until you run away in fear, but Keito unfortunately never learns.

Sometimes the Ra*bits member can be seen crying together, and no one really knows why. Turns out Hajime started crying and everyone else followed suit because they can’t stand seeing each other cry. (Nazuna will deny this.)

Hinata once hid to scare Yuta in the school’s corridor, but he accidentally scared Shu (who happened to be passing by) instead. Shu fainted immediately.

Mika can’t make puns or jokes. He keeps forgetting half of them and Tsumugi doesn’t have the heart to tell him they just don’t work like that.

Natsume might have thrown Tsumugi out a window once. He just smiles smugly when he’s asked about this.

Leo sometimes screams wordlessly for a solid minute. The other Knights members aren’t even concerned about this anymore. Tsukasa theorized it might be Leo’s way to deal with his stress.

Mika always ends up saying “you too” when a waiter tells him to enjoy his meal. He then replays the scene in his head for days and can’t sleep at night anymore.

Wataru was forbidden from bringing his pet birds to class, so now he hides them in his pockets. They can be seen peering out sometimes, but whenever someone comments on that, he just blinds them with pepper spray.

Adonis needs ten minutes to send a single text. And it’s still full of typos.

When Knights go shopping together, Leo gets in the cart and Izumi pushes him around. He always says he won’t do it next time, but when Leo jumps in the cart he ends up pushing him anyway.

Keito gets angry at soybeans. They make him fly into rage mode. Wataru loves putting them everywhere in the student council office.

Rei can sleep with his eyes open and that’s exactly what he does whenever someone from the student council comes to address his unexplained school absences.

When Makoto trips and falls in a crowded place, Subaru immediately goes lying next to him so that he’ll feel less awkward.

Kanata once showed up in class wearing a wetsuit and using an oxygen tank and no one dared say anything about it.

Sagami-sensei joined Hinata and Subaru in trying to play pranks on Keito, but they never work. It’s like he has a sixth sense to detect them.

Tetora and Chiaki tried to bake a cake together once. Next thing they knew, the entire school was being evacuated because of the explosion they caused.

Leo won’t stop rambling about cryptids. He wants to go on a cryptid sighting tour with the rest of Knights and is currently looking into buying plane tickets for five. The other Knights guys don’t know how serious he is about this.

Adonis cries from watching animal videos on Youtube. He then sends them to everyone he knows because he recently discovered the “share” feature.

Koga’s that one person who spends an hour styling his hair to go out when it’s rainy and windy outside, so it’s ruined in five minutes and he’ll sulk all day.

Yuzuru : “could I please make an announcement ? I seem to have lost my young master” Store clerk : “sure” Yuzuru, in the mic : “goodbye you little shit”

Shu sometimes argues with people because he doesn’t like their clothes. The only other person to do this is Hiyori.

The oddballs like to play Mario Party together. They all agree that Kanata is the sorest loser.

Eichi loves to go grocery shopping. There’s so much stuff !! A lot of people !! Automated cash registers !! He’s so happy there !!

Mitsuru once ate a handful of dirt just because Tomoya said he shouldn’t.

Mao and Makoto’s greatest passion is reproducing poses from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure together.

Hokuto : “what is the light music club even doing ??” [koga barking, furious kazoo and off-key opera singing can be heard from their club room] Mao : “oh they’re always doing that on improv Thursday”

Leo won’t stop licking stuff he’s not supposed to lick, including but not limited to paper, cats and people’s hands. When Izumi asked him about this, he explained he needs it to “feel their energy”.

Whenever someone in the academy needs help, Madara, Chiaki and Kuro physically fight to determine who gets to save them.

Kanata once attempted to drown Souma in the school’s fountain. Kaoru laughed, so Kanata drowned Kaoru too.

When it gets snowy on the school grounds, huge snowball fights happen. Somehow, Eichi and Keito end up being most often targeted. They still claim they don’t understand why.

Koga’s twitter feed is 99% dogs and 1% Kaoru’s selfies. He keeps blocking him, but Kaoru steals his phone to unblock himself and like all his selfies.

Oh no !!! You’re not feeling good !!He’s going to get super worked up over this !!!

He read a bunch of articles on thenet about migraines and got super worried you might have brain cancer or another highly implausible illness. You had to cheer him up because he wasbawling his eyes out. (He’s banned from looking any symptoms up the net now.)

He likes to have calm, relaxingevenings with you after class ! He’ll get tea ready and silently read his notesfrom the day, cuddled up with you. He tries to send a lot of telepathic “getbetter” signals too !

He often gently massages yourtemples, shoulders and neck. He heard unwinding pressure in those areas canhelp with headaches ! Well, you’re not sure it really works, but at least itdoes feel nice, especially after a long day of classes…

You constantly have to reassure himand tell him you’re doing fine now, because he’s definitely not above getting empathy migraines too…

Mao :

He’s ready. He’s been ready sinceday one. Finally, the medicine he’s been carrying just in case you feel sickproves useful !

He has so much knowledge aboutmedicine and carries a lot wherever he goes, so rest assured : you’ll be fineas long as he’s with you !

Trust him, he gets you. Sometimes,on evenings, you end up slumped over the couch together, lifeless and headaching from the day.

There’s nothing he likes more thannursing you when it gets especially bad. You don’t remember asking him to bringyou dinner in bed, but he’ll do it anyway. He won’t stop at anything if it’s to makeyou feel better !

Expect him to wake up earlier thanyou on mornings, just to slip medicine in your bag. It even comes with a cute post-it note, onwhich he doodled hearts and wrote words of encouragement for the day !

Natsume :

It’s not like he can tease you aboutthis, but he’ll try anyway. He likes commenting that your head hurts onlybecause of how hard you focused while patting your head. Maybe he’s just tryingto comfort you, though… You’re not quite sure.

He’ll help in his own way ! Sincehis classes end earlier, he likes to get dinner ready for when you come home,or order your favorite food. He loves this kind of little attentions that canhelp you cheer up after a long day.

While he’s more than okay withspoon-feeding you medicine, he likes suggesting other types of “home-made remedies”. “You know, little kitten, I’ve heard of another very effectiveway to cure headaches… Maybe you want to try it out ? I can help, you know.”He won’t stop smirking after that.

He won’t let you stay up late atnight. You need to rest ! You already go through a lot and you don’t need to betired the next day. He always has a new scheme up his sleeve to trick you intogoing to bed early. Besides, it helps him sleep at decent hours too, so it’s awin-win situation !

Recently, he’s started to take advantageof your migraines to coax you into doing stuff with him. You should totally go have a bathwith him, because “it should help with headaches”. Well, how could yourefuse him anyway ? Maybe giving him excuses isn’t that bad, from time to time…

Leo :

He’ll be super compassionate whenyou tell him, then forget about it an hour later. Every time you have to remindhim he gasps loudly and apologizes furiously… and then he forgets again.

He loves making up new remedies ofhis own ! And they’re “super-duper extra great !”, too. Like kissing yourforehead five times, or massaging behind your ears, or holding you as tight ashe can for ten minutes… He seems convinced they really do help, although yoususpect he may be doing all that to amuse you.

While he’s usually pretty noisy, hetries to quiet down a bit on evenings, especially on school days. It’s subtle,but he’ll use his headphones when composing a new song on his keyboard, forexample. Well, it’s not like you can stop him from shouting whenever he needsto “evacuate all the stress”, as he says.

He’s the absolute best as suggestingsolutions that are anything but helpful. “So, your migraines come up when you’reat school, right ? Well, why don’t you just stop going ? You can just stay at home and help meout today, wahaha !”

He hates seeing you pushing yourselftoo hard ! He’ll come hugging you in the middle of a super importantassignment, claiming you need a break because “you’re going to die if you worktoo hard !! Trust me !”. It’s not the best for your concentration, but he reallydoes mean well, so you just can’t be angry at him !

Kanata :

He’s very compassionate and likes tocheck how you’re feeling, once in a while. He’s especially worried you might notfeel good and never tell it to avoid bothering others…

His very presence is healing, and ithelps you relax ! Just cuddling quietly on the sofa an evening while watching adocumentary about sea creatures is enough to make you unwind and alleviate a bitof the pression.

He likes to sneak behind you andmassage your temples as you’re doing something else. He’ll also whisper magicwords for the migraines to go away. It’s not like it really works, but if he can get you to smile by doingthis, his mission’s fulfilled !

He’s super careful about you andwill make sure you’re not too anxious because of classes. He’s worried yourbuild-up stress may have a part in this, so he likes to do fun and relaxingthings with you on days off. He wants you to unwind !

He likes herbal and natural remediesas opposed to medicine, and you can expect him to have a cup of your “specialtea” ready for when you come home ! Sipping on it and watching his peacefulsmile at least helps with your tension, and makes for a pretty good evening ritual…

Tetora :

Finally, he gets an opportunity toshow you how cool and manly and reliable and helpful he can be !!! Just leaveit to him, he’s gonna find a miraculous solution in a heartbeat !

Well, he can’t say his plans aregoing well though. His extensive google search didn’t bring up anything useful,the full-course dinner he tried to cook for you turned out inedible, heaccidentally flooded the bathroom by trying to run a bath for you… You’ll haveto settle for headache medicine and the pizza he ordered as a last resort.

He can’t stop moping because hethinks he’s totally powerless against your migraines ! He still puts up abrave, smiling front because he wants you to feel good and relaxed. You alreadyhave enough on your plate and don’t need his whining, especially after a longand painful day…

He knows quite a lot of breathingexercises and likes to practice them with you ! He heard from Kuro that theyhelp with good blood circulation, and that they may even relieve headachessometimes. He also suggested trying meditation, and he can vouch it does havehealing and calming properties !

He showed up at your universityonce, just to bring you medicine. You did swear to him you were going to bealright and that you were used to the pain, but he wouldn’t have any of it !And, well… he hoped you would rely on him a little bit more, after that.

Keito :

If anything, he’s compassionate. Hedefinitely gets you and has occasionally been struggling with migraines too.

He suggested you go get your eyestested, as he’s worried you may need glasses. He’s also been researching extensively tounderstand just why you get those, and if there’s anything he can do to help.

He’s always well-prepared. He alwaysmakes sure you have medicine on hand, gets everything done for you so that youcan relax on evenings and days off, and he likes to call you during lunch breakto ask how you’re doing. He won’t admit it, but he really is worried about you…

He gets weirdly nursing when you’rein pain, and will literally stay at your bedside and make sure you haveeverything you need. You even have to stop him from spoon-feeding you ! Eventhough you assure him you’re not doing that bad,he doesn’t listen to you. He’s determined you need some rest, and he wants tobe the one to care for you in the meantime.

He likes to gently hug you when itgets really bad, holding your hand tight until the pain subsides. He won’t letgo of it, though : he likes it and feels connected to you, that way… Besides,it’s a way for him to show you he cares and that he’s here, by your side !

I’m just a day late but it’shere !!!! chiaki’s birthday scenario !! our national hero needs his birthdayfluff ! i hope you like it ♥ (meanwhile I’m still writing Adonis and Midori’s birthday scenariosweats nervously) - mod mademoiselle

Sometimes you wondered if youweren’t overdoing things. Right now, for instance. Well, maybe you should, allthings considered.

Your entire living room was now red.You didn’t know what kind of party decorations to choose, so you just thoughtthat hey, might as well take anything red, right ? And that wasn’t even gettinginto the cake. It was obnoxiously sitting on the table, its crimson icingcatching your eyes every time you turned your head even remotely towards thiscorner of the room. And of course, everything in the room (including thenapkins) was hero themed. Yeah, the guests too.

“Is something the matter ? Shall I relieve yourpressure ? I learned about acupuncture, recently !” Shinobu was brimming with excitement, half-hidden under the huge andvery red present he brought for your boyfriend. You smiled to him, although youbet even he could still tell something was troubling you.

“No, I was just, um… wondering if maybe, just maybe, we didn’t…”

“Overdo it a little ?” Tetorawas keeping as still as he could as Kanata helped him fit the mask of his herocostume. Your eyes met with Midori’s, sitting almost lifelessly on the ground.Yeah, maybe you were right. This all felt like it was just a bit too much.

“ ‘nonsense’… chiaki loves being ‘surrounded’ by whathe loves…” Kanata’s healing presence did calm your nerves a bit,until your eyes caught the huge fast food bags resting in the kitchen.

“What’s… ? Did someone order something to eat ?” With all the food you’d already prepared, you wondered if you didn’tplan too much. A quick inspection of the bags left you even more confused : itwas just fries. Lots of fries.

“Indeed ! We went and fetched Leader-dono’s favoritedelicacy !” Yeah, you could figure as much. Tetora sent anawkward grin your way and joined you in the kitchen, taking the fries out ofthe bags.

“Yeah, lemme just, uh… put that on the table with therest.” Said table was overflowing with food and giftsalready. Kanata’s lobster plushie was sitting dangerously close to a bowl ofsauce, too.

“Hey…” Midori started, hesitantly glancingup at you, “I don’t want to ruin everyone’sfun, but… isn’t it all…”

“Too much.” You andTetora had answered at the same time, taking in the scene. Maybe it was theballoons. You just knew you shouldn’thave bought the balloons.

“Who even thought of those ?” Tetora was gesturing at huge photosof Chiaki in his hero costume plastered on the walls. On second thought, youdidn’t know who put these up either.  “It’sjust… weird ? Help me remove them, guys.”

“Tetora-dono, don’t ! I underwent much suffering toput them up !” Shinobu was protecting the posters with his wholebody (that is, not much).

“Maybe it’s the plushies… ?” Midori’s voice was wavering, almost as if he were afraid to speak up.Kanata shot him a very serious glance that made the temperature of the roomfall by several degrees.

“plushies are never ‘too much’… maybe ‘you’ are toomuch instead��”

“Hey hey, let’s notget into a fight now, guys.” You gently patted Kanata’s head ina desperate attempt to get him to calm down, prompting him to puff out hischeeks.

“Come on, we can’t leave this like that. It’s like… afour-year old’s birthday party.”  Tetora was trying to get some allies in hisdesperate cause to tame a bit the overall enthusiastic (if messy) atmosphere,but didn’t find many.

“i ‘like’ it that way…” Nowonder Kanata did, since he did get a say in it all. Maybe he was the cause forall that, actually.

“With all due respect, Tetora-dono, I do too…” Shinobu was still guarding the posters area, just in case Tetora wouldcome back and try to take them down sneakily. The black-haired boy made hisbest ‘oh, come on’ face.

“Are we seriously gonna leave it all like that ? Imean, Captain’s almost an adult ! Aren’t you all babying him too much ?” You didn’t have anything to answer to that and just awkwardly smiled atTetora. Were you, really… ? Midori shyly nodded, and Tetora suddenly pointed avery accusatory finger to him. “And you !You actually agree with me, I can just see it on your face, but you never speakup !”

“I-I didn’t say anything… I don’t mind either way…” Midori seemed to be trying to hide behind an armchair, as he graduallydisappeared the less you looked at him. Tetora groaned at his noncommittedanswer, his cheeks slowly reddening.

“Oh, come on ! You’re always like that ! Speak yourown mind instead of just hiding away from trouble !” Midori shot him a displeased glare, from behind the armchair.

“What about you just stop bringing me into yourtrouble…”

“Then just get out if you hate it that much !” You jumped a bit at Tetora’s sudden shouting, but fortunately Shinobuhad been more foreseeing and gently patted the boy’s shoulder, trying to calmhim down.

“Now, now, Tetora-dono… ! Let’s not fight today, ofall days !” Tetora easily pushed Shinobu away, teeth gritted.

“Don’t pretend you don’t hate it too ! He’s just apain sometimes !” Before Midori could retaliate or anyone could answer,another voice added to the mix.

“Um… Am I being a bother right now ? Should I just getout ? The door was open so I figured I should just help myself in, but maybe I’minterrupting you in the middle of a secret meeting… ?” Oh, shucks.

You hoped you’d just heard things,but as you turned, you realized you were unfortunately right : Chiaki wasawkwardly standing behind you, backpack still slung over his shoulder. Hevisibly just came back from his part-time job, but was already motioning to thedoor.

“A-Ah, Chiaki ! Wait, don’t leave just yet”, you interrupted, gently taking his hand in yours and bringing him toyour side. He confusedly let you guide him through the room, taking in theunusual decor. “We were waiting for you,actually !”

Shinobu and Kanata were suddenlyvery busy rummaging through their pockets and seemed to have lost their partypoppers. Midori was resolutely staring at the ground, and Tetora seemeduncharacteristically embarrassed, but Chiaki somehow managed to remainoblivious to it all and smiled at you.

“That’s nice of you, but even I can tell I’m notwanted here ! Oh, don’t worry, it’s alright : even the best of heroes havesecrets to keep sometimes !” Yeah, as oblivious as ever.

“No, um, Chiaki, this is a surprise birthday party,actually.” You couldn’t believe you even had to explain it.Midori neither, judging by his face. Chiaki slowly blinked, a confused smilemaking its way to his face.

“I see, I see ! But I could have helped, you know. So,who’s the lucky fellow ?” Tetora shot you an incredulous gazebefore shaking his head.

“Uh, it’s yours, Captain.”Everyone fell silent for a long and painful moment, until Tetora foundnecessary to add : “Yeah, it’s yourbirthday, so, uh… Happy birthday ?”

Taking the cue, Shinobu and Kanata awkwardlyfired the party poppers. Chiaki was still standing in the middle of it all,confetti making its way in his hair and on his clothes, eyes wide and mouthstill open.

“Oh.” That was all he had to say ? Tetoraand Shinobu exchanged a worried look, but then it came. “Oh !!”

Chiaki’d gasped loudly, taking astep back reflexively. He was taking in the entire room, from the red cake tothe gifts and posters of himself, with bright eyes and a slightly increduloussmile.

“You did that for me… ?” Well,yeah, that was the idea. You nodded encouragingly, while Shinobu carried a pileof presents to your boyfriend.

“A-And here are your birthday presents, Captain-dono !We found that limited edition item you wanted so bad !” Chiaki took the presents with a trembling smile, visibly not daringbelieve it all.

“Yeah, we brought, uh, fries as well !” Tetora added a carton of fries on top of the pile, while Chiaki’s smilegot a bit wider.

“And, um, we have a cake too…” Midori hesitantly gestured to the very red cake, which he’d madetogether with you. Chiaki didn’t seem to know where he should look at first, smilinglike an amazed child in a candy shop, until Kanata gently placed a party hat onhis head.

“we thought you’d like to be ‘surrounded’ by thingsyou love…” Your boyfriend was blinking suspiciously fast, andeven though he tried his best to hide it, you just knew. A small stray tear wasrolling down his cheek, before he hurriedly wiped it off.

“This is all for me, right… ? Wow, that’s just… wow.” He was shaking his head, visibly moved deeply by it all. You smiled andsoftly kissed his cheek, prompting it to redden in turn.

“That’s because we all love you ! Happy birthday,Chiaki.” He blinked again, and that was his mistake. Moretears spilled out, and yet there was a small, shaky smile on his lips. Tetorawas kind enough to take the presents for him to wipe off his face, hidingone moment too long behind his arm.

“Thanks… thanks, guys. I’m so happy… !” The first-years seemed thrown off for a moment, but you and Kanata werestill smiling serenely. That was just Chiaki for you : always so boisterous infront of people, but meek and quiet when moved or alone. You gently took his hand, and he squeezed your fingers tight, shooting you a small, almost shysmile. What he said next was only a whisper, but it made your heart skip a bitall the same.

“I feel blessed every day… ! I love you too, so much.”

His eyes were locked deep in yours,and even though he said it to everyone, you knew he especially meant it for you.It was the way his thumb softly stroked the back of your hand ,or maybe his sheepishlittle smile. And you’d keep it a secret, just smiling sweetly to him inresponse. Heroes should read the atmosphere, after all.
