and like other characters have gloves why not you? i understand being in a hurry while in the clinic, or not finding any gloves “literally how you’re in a clinic” and having to use bandages but what was your excuse before that? they’re just two pieces of fabric sewed together in the shape of your hand you dont have to be fancy about it

and like.. instead of that you wear a cloak, which first is way too much fabric than a glove and two you still have to show your arms anyway when dealing with people on a daily basis

edit: before anyone says its for “plot convenience” when they were attacked in the opening scene.. yeah i don’t remember what tore their hands then but if it can break through their skin and draw blood then it can tear the glove too

looking back i have healed and improved emotionally and just overall SOOOOOO much in the past couple years

#really really grateful i was given a chance to keep living #and a chance to grow and start over where so many people can’t bc of death by overdose :/ #I’m really proud of myself too. I’ve done a lot of work on myself and I’ve actively participated in my recovery #i go to a WONDERFUL therapist regularly i have a great psychiatrist both of which helped me so much with staying clean from fentanyl #but i know that i deserve most of the credit in that situation bc I’m the one who chose to change and waited and got horribly ill #I’m the one who decided i was going to stay sober and not turn back to that shit #I’m the one who has done the internal work #I’m the one who has 827 days off that shit #they have been a wonderful part of my support system throughout this process and i know it would be very different without them #but this was something i did when it was SO difficult and I’ll never stop being proud of myself for that.

Oh ho ho!! I'm actually glad you asked this bc I've been thinking about it a lot lately.

2003 raph is prob one of my favorite turtles in 03. I've only watched the first two seasons of the show, but I love his snark. He has some of the best comeback lines and his dynamic with Mikey is one of my favorite aspects of the show. His "yo mama" line is something I think about a lot haha.

Now 2012 raph. Ohhhh boy him. Having gotten through the first three seasons of 2012, my perception of him has changed drastically. If you showed me just the first two episodes of 2012 (and like...first half of season 1) I would've told you raph is a horrible brother who is nothing more than a bully. But I've watched three seasons of 2012 now and SOMEHOW he's become one of my favorites. Maybe it's bc they soften him a bit in later seasons. Maybe it's bc sometimes I'd sit there and be like...damn he has a right to be angry (I will actually never forgive splinter's "lesson" in s1ep3). Maybe I like really flawed characters? Idk. But as someone whos first introduction of the character was rise/2012 fics, I've now since grown an appreciation for him. 2012 had an extremely rough start with his character, since ya. He was a bully and oftentimes extremely out of pocket with insults. (but honestly all the 2012 turtles were. Raph was just the biggest offender). But like all raphs he's secretly a big softie that's masked by a rough exterior. 2012 raph is what happens if that softness is made fun of and seen as a weakness instead of strength. (Also if the writers don't understand the difference between banter and bullying until like season 2 coughcough) So ya, he's one of my favs now. I have way too much to say about him

#tried to talk about it on vc but no one's paying attention haha #talkin about it here cuz I've been meaning to share with. someone #hi if you're reading this:) #peter prattles #anyways. started a new project recently; i got a model for my mask so I'm thinking about printing it out? #got the STL (STereoLithography (file format for CAD software made by 3d systems)) files fhe other day; they look like they'll fit well toge #ther after i print them; so that's good. not a lot of sanding ill have to do on the main face shell; 8& #augh #*; it's already textured #i keep pressing comma. stop #anyways. got the files; it took FOREVER to splice but that's alright. i haveta do it regardless #*slice not splice #the whole process of slicing something (FOR 3D MODELING BY THE WAY) is really interesting; i should look more into that #the thing is; the files and info I got on them didn't say what orientation to print the mask in? that was odd #it also didn't say what fill / support types to use. but I'll figure that out in the morning #oh! my favourite part I'm working on for the mask is that it is able to attach / detach in specific sections; so it's easily disassembled #I'm using neodymium magnets (specifically 10mmx1mm or 1/16in discs) to connect it all together #I'm thinking about making it disconnect in about 4/6 different places? four for sure #not sure about the last two though. thinking about making the LENSES of the mask detachable; but i feel like they're more likely to fall of #uhoh i think i did something wrong #i printed (or started to print at least) the domed mesh on the 3d printer instead of the specifically labeled resin printer. i don't have j #I don't have a resin printer #wow there's a lot of tags. okay #so many thoughts in my head apparently #eh whatever. hear about my 3d prints boy #there's an option to make a ventilated mask; or one without the vents at the front #the vents are just small cavities near the front of the mask #right near the nose / mouth would be #ohh it's actually lined up beautifully; it blends right into the webbing on the front of the face #face? mask? eh
