hhhhhhhhhhhh saboace royalty au. ace was crown prince but can’t use magic which is necessary to become king, so he renounces his title and becomes infamous for his eccentric tendencies to play up the illusion that he’s truly not meant for the throne and that his younger sibling has full rights to the title of heir.

sabo is born to a family serving in the royal court, has been a genius magician since he was a child, and is the perfect example of a young man fully educated to serve at the king’s side. which is why he’s allowed himself to be tied down into a loveless political engagement with the king’s heir, putting the whims of his family before his own and resigning himself to become the future ruler’s consort/spouse to legitimize his role as an advisory right-hand man.

but then the heir grows rebellious and denounces the engagement with sabo in public and ace swoops in to save the day (and sabo’s reputation), demanding his father give sabo to him instead. he steals sabo away and challenges his sibling’s right to the throne, intent on earning back the title not for himself, but so he can make sabo (who is heavily qualified to rule) the king - and since they’ll be wed, no one will be able to undermine sabo’s position as he will technically be part of the monarchy that governs the kingdom.

getting intense joy from painting my nails wasn’t an expected outcome of my day but it is definitely a welcome one!

#in todays episode of ‘oh dang cis ppl can also get gender euphoria huh’ #the more this happens the more I am convinced that gender expression is rly a personal thing #bc like. my roommate would NOT like to paint her nails or wear hairbows or skirts. she doesn’t enjoy them. #but she considers herself very feminine in her own right by the colors and styles of the shirts she wears and how she does her hair #I didn’t used to think I liked looking particularly feminine at all bc I found so much of it uncomfortable #turns out girliepop had sensory issues and the ‘beautiful lace dresses and nylon tights and makeup’ wasn’t doing it for me #but when given the chance to choose how I look. I find that I actually enjoy some of the stereotypical feminine stuff a lot! #and also enjoy some stereotypically unfeminine things bc they make me *feel* more like a girl even if they’re not like that for everyone #like my Minecraft socks! and t-shirts from the men’s section at Meijer. and button ups with loud patterns! and my undercut 🩵 #also a lot of it I think is just. when i said that mha ripped off naruto (which i said only to piss off mha stans anyway) I didn't mean to sound like i was praising naruto. it was actually more like a sigh of disappointment, a reaction to seeing that all the problems that naruto had as a show transpired trough mha too and i was tired because watching naruto was enough for me but then i realized that my problem actually is that i can no longer stand watching shonen anime and i chose not to tire myself by cringing at the repetitive tropes and cliches anymore

#demon slayer falls under the same category sadly #actually it was more a combination of these 2 that made me realize that i had enough of this genre #me judging other shonen having as reference only naruto #but look! i watched both mha and demon slayer and my personal point was proven that i would get bored by them #(with the exception of some rare moments that were really good in mha but the bad and cringe moments made me forget abt them) #like i remember crying bcs this dude who trained deku died but then i remembered that a few episodes earlier he ''punished'' #one of his female students by tying her up a ledge and tickling her with a feather :| #LIKE WHY DID YOU NEED TO PUT THAT IN THE STORY?
