August Patreon Announcements

Happy August! I hope everyone's July went well. Mine could've gone better. Another death in the family, and 3 deaths in necessary electronics on top of dental adventures made July VERY stressful for me, both emotionally and financially. So big announcements this month because a lot of things need to be overhauled/addressed.

I will be talking about changes I will be implementing that will help with my current expenses. Commissions will be reopening (see below! Prices will be increasing), and I will offer a little something extra for the extra help I'll be getting that everyone (even non-patrons) will be able to enjoy. I'll have that post up later this week, but nothing will be changing about patreon activities/costs itself, in case you're wondering! These changes will basically last indefinitely or until something happens, or i get a lot of feedback/suggestions to change it.

I'm planning on refraining from Posting full art on Twitter/X. I will NOT be deleting, but since the now "X" site is gonna be AI scraping everything going up on it, I don't want to post anything new on there. I will post previews and notifications, but full art will only be going on my tumblr (assuming its not too spicy for it) and discord. I'll keep you filled in on news pertaining to social media decisions I'm making.

I am planning to use my Discord more actively! I plan on using that as my new streaming platform (because I want to get back to streaming regularly), and where I post my doodles due to the X change. Patrons with their discords attached to their patreon account get added automatically! You also don't need to be a patron to join, so feel free to use the permanent invite code: UYJwJW

August's Poll will be going up shortly, and this month's Theme is Technological Malfunction, with one winner getting a 3 part sequence! More will be explained in the poll post.

April 2023's Fills will be going into the Access to the Past tiers!

August 2021's fills will be going up on my pixiv and social medias! As per usual, I'll bulk upload them onto my drive and pixiv, and spread them out over the course of the week on tumblr (only notification of the uploads to the drive will go up on X site).

Commissions will be reopening this month, possibly in a week or so! But Prices Will be Increasing! In order to stay afloat, I really have no choice but to increase prices. The form has yet to be updated, but the figure prices will be as follows Busts: $20 Waist/Thigh-Ups: $40 Full Bodied: $60 Price increases will NOT effect those who have already paid for/discussed commissions with me from last opening. Overall, it's a 33% increase. Extras will have a larger higher end, but are planned to otherwise be the same. YCH figures will go up by 5$ per figure (to $25). I have not decided whether or not to allow only single figure orders, or to allow 2 figures yet, but i'm open to some convincing if a majority of people would be interested in that!

Final 2020 Update: 2021 Goals!!

So some of these may be unrealistic due to my struggles with ADHD/Depression Combo but. I wanted to get these down somewhere so you guys can see them and be aware..

Please note, my executive functioning abilities are absolutely Butchered on the regular by my ADHD alone, and the various stressors of 2020 have absolutely taken anything else I might have had in that department and tossed it out the window.

Something something something, financial stressors outside of my control sends me into shut down mode and I can't do anything productive or even fun until it's handled, but because I'm not doing anything productive, I'm not making any money, and the stressors gets worse and worse and it just ends up in a horrible cycle where I constantly want to die because I'm not able to create anything to relieve the stress! Which is why you've all seen... pretty much a standstill on my productivity save one or two pieces a month if I'm lucky

That said, I'm going to start trying (hopefully with some outside help/accountability to keep me on track while I'm unmedicated) to put a system in place that doesn't make me constantly want to die while like. maybe actually getting stuff done! So I'm making some optimistic goals for 2021 regarding both my art and ability to make money, so here goes!

I'm breaking this down into 3 parts:

Changes to expect regarding my social media, commissions in general, posting, etc;

Overall Goals for 2021;

and Goals for January specifically.

Changes to expect going forward from here:

I'm going to be making some changes regarding my social media accounts, including this one, mostly concerning when, where, and how I'm posting.

I am also going to be making some changes to my commission policies, prices, and payments in the coming year, namely:

Lastly, I will be making some changes to my art discord server!

Moving forward, I am going to be MOST active on my twitter and tumblr accounts. They're just easier for me to maintain in general, and although I hate twitter's formatting, it's just easier and faster, and frankly after deviantART and Instagram fucked with their websites/algorithms, it just makes the most sense for me as an artist.

I'm also going to be making an effort to make scheduled cross-posts on all my accounts. In the past, I've been really irregular about when and where I post things (most things got posted to my old tumblr account but never here, i rarely remember to post to instagram, etc).

This is going to include commission slots, finished piece dumps, etc.

I will also be making an effort to semi-regularly post sketch dumps, both digitial and traditional. I am also considering at this time offering a monthly digital download of my sketch collections, though I am undecided as I'm not really sure how many people would be interested.

Increasing commissions prices to reflect time spent working on specific commission types, as well as my personal cost of living.

Planning and announcing commission slots in advance.

Taking and finishing regular commissions to cover living expenses on a monthly basis

Payments will be exclusively through paypal invoice, and will be broken up in halves: first half will be taken up front after I have started and given proof of start (base sketch), the second half will be paid after completion, with WIPS given between first and second payment. Fully completed art will be given after receipt of second half. This is both for my personal protection as an artist, as well as for the comfort of the commissioner as my completion time can sometimes be long due to my ADHD/executive dysfunction.

Moving forward into 2020, my discord will be SFW, but 18+ only. This is a personal comfort thing. I'm 25 years old now, and just really don't want to spend time hanging out with teenagers.

I'm also going to start trying to schedule art streams again! Since this is the only place I can live stream due to my art computer's limitations, it just makes sense to like. Schedule them so more people are able to attend. I haven't decided exactly how that's going to look, but once I have I'm going to make an announcement and formatting guide somewhere for people to see so they can make an informed decision about joining the server.

I will also be regularly posting in the server again. This may or may not be cross posts from twitter and such, we'll see, but I DO plan on being more active there since it's been kind of dead.

I may also reformat the whole server again. We'll see!

Goals for 2021

Regular Adopt Sets -- 2-3 per month. Size, price, and number in set will be decided on case by case basis.

I'll be doing a monthly prompt for myself as well. This is just to get me back in the habit of creating things I like for myself to just feel... less bad about my art in general, and about making art. Also it'll be good for my artistic development i think?

Keeping a monthly sketchbook for warm-ups and in-between pieces. May be offered as a paid download at the end of the month, we'll see.

Might start a patreon? This is EXTREMELY dependent on what my userbase looks like. Tiers and rewards to be decided at a later date

Regular traditional sketches + scan and upload of said sketches. May also be offered in the monthly sketchbook.

Draw more self portraits & self-expression pieces! I don't know if any of yall realize how repressed I've been in the last year without therapy, and I did't either until I forced myself to pursue a vent piece earlier this month, and then felt immensely better afterward so. Going to start doing that! Maybe I'll feel better weee

Regular posting to social media! (see changes above)

Drawing less fantrolls bc I'm just bleh about them lately, drawing more original content!

Drawing fancontent that ISN'T homestuck? We'll see but I'd like to. I don't usually draw fan art bc like. Idk in my mind I don't feel like my interpretation of things is important or cool and I think thats a confidence thing and I'd like to change that so! I'm gonna start making more fan content.

Draw more full illustrations & backgrounds in general because I actually enjoy doing them it turns out?

Practice painting more !! Both traditionally and digitally....

Goals for January 2021

Finish at LEAST 1/4 of my art queue. I'm shooting for half, really, because fully completing it might actually kill me but! We'll see! Maybe I'll surprise myself. But I'm setting the goal low to keep my mental health problems in mind.

Finish and release the base set i've been working on, on and off. It's an homage to the old pixel doll days of 2009-2012, and the full sheet will be free to use (with stipulations, as I have some people blocked that I don't want using it). BUT! There will also be a mix and match .psd that will be pay to use (it'll be pay to use a, bc it'll be huge, and b, bc the edits to make it mix and match results in like 6 seperate bases in general so.... yeah. pay to use)

Finish the pay-to-use base pack i started in june (i may scrap and restart though, we'll see)

Possibly release all old p2u bases of mine in one pack on gumroad? price tbd but it will include old iterations as well as unreleased remakes.

Making some dainty-specific bases! One will be f2u, one will be p2u.

I have a whole dainty YCH set for january! I just have to finish the example... (:

Perhaps I'll be announcing a collaborative project later in the month! It depends on where each of us are at, at the time! We'll see! (: You should be excited though! It'll be a ton of fun!

late night real talk

It’s 3:40AM and I have stuff to say (it’s mostly positive, dw)

I received payment for another commission recently, and I’m almost at $2KCAD!!! I have about another $2K in my bank account, and my student loans that I have to repay are around $5K+

I feel like I’m actually getting closer to being able to pay off my student loans! It doesn’t seem like a hopeless nightmare anymore! I’m a NEET with no income asides from commissions, and my parents sure as fuck aren’t gonna help me out bc fuck them, I don’t want to be indebted any more than necessary to them, so I’m really happy with how things are going so far! My social anxiety is severe as fuck, so trying to get a job is... not something I can see happening any time soon. So being able to make money by offering my services is extremely uplifting for me.

I’ve... had my general art commissions closed for over two, three, maybe four(?) years now due to extreme burnout and lack of confidence. And even though my confidence is better now than it was before, I still suffer from burnout.

I offer a few special art commissions here and there, but for the most part, I haven’t been able to get money from art commissions for the longest time. It stressed me out because I need to pay off my student loans, and every single cent that I receive from others, whether by commissions or donations, is going straight to paying them off. I haven’t bought a single thing for myself except for a new drawing tablet, but that was so that I can continue working on commissions.

But even then, I still couldn’t because motivation was abyssmal and depression dragged me down.

I wasn’t certain if I’d be able to get much money with writing commissions since most people who buy commissions value digital art over any other art form, but(!!!) I was able to do it!!! People liked my writing and paid me for it!! Some people have been even kind enough to give me tips!!!

And, and, and!!! I also started recently offering up my services for custom HTML code layouts on Toyhouse. Again, I wasn’t sure if I’d get much interest, but it’s been going pretty well!

I just find it ironic that the stuff that I thought wouldn’t get as much interest ended up being where I got most of my income.

Idk, but it just feels... extremely rewarding. And maybe I’m just petty, but it makes me feel good about myself that I’m able to get this money on my own while my parents think all I do is laze around the house, so it kind of makes me want to go “IN YOUR FACE”

...Yeah.

I’m still working through current commissions which have been delayed due to another one of my depressive episodes, and I have some more clients who are interested on a waitlist. I plan on opening up more commissions (like customs and maybe Twitch emojis(?) as well as YCHs) hopefully soon, but I’m trying to be mindful of not taking on too much and overwhelming myself.

Idk, I guess I’m just full of love right now for all of my clients who have supported me. I know I say it a lot, but I really do mean it when I say that I wouldn’t have gotten this far without the support of those online. I have little to no support IRL save for maybe one or two people, so the fact that I’m still here today is thanks to everybody online who’s helped support and encourage me through all my ups and downs.

First, WARFRAME.

I am in L O V E with it, all about it is just, mind blowing, and I am just in the second dream!, wish me luck, every Friday and maybe Saturdays and Sundays too I will be playing. Leveling up and farming.

2018

2017 ended with a bit of a bang, didn't it? ;)

For my followers, the people that care about me, I wanted to talk a little bit about the upcoming year.

Some time ago, I started working full-time at my "day job" and that absorbs a lot of my free time. I've been slowing down a bit artistically, but I'd like to get back into it again, even if it means slowly at first.

That said, this year, I'm going to try branching my art out into new fandoms, gonna try to do more art where possible.

I'm going to be taking commissions again soon, with @thatninja and we're going to keep trying to bring you guys more ychs this year. YCHs are fun and we can offer them at a cheaper rate, but we will still offer full-service commissions as well.

We're also going to make an effort to stream more, particularly on Sunday evenings. We haven't set a time yet, but we have lots of stuff to work on!

I hope to continue to grow as an artist!

Things has been weird lately since the incident with my elbow, losing my job and trying to rise some money. For personal reasons and since low budget won't let me, we came to a conclusion that need to move to Spain. So far so good, luckly I had some money for the ticket at least and got to my destination. Don't ask why from Germany to Spain, things you can't just change, you must accept it. Currently living at some relatives. As much as I hate paing for stuff, you must to. The good news(sorta), I can understand a bit of Spanish, learned some words and doing some online tests. That is not enough for me to have a decent conversation, which I'm bad at it. So once again, school, which I need to learn better and to communicate. School which you need to pay for the lessons, which I find it absourd how much is an hour of lessons. But we keep on searching for cheaper version, along with that, continuing with the internet one too. School helps me get a decent job at least and to continue with what I've had planned. Once I'm done and hopefuly I will be able to get everything sorted out, moving out is which gonna be a bit stressy. I plan to move out next year, until then, I have to learn Spanish and do everything I need to do.

For my Spanish courses for 3 months would be €300 Moving out €900

My goal is to reach that by the end of January 2018.

Yooooo, what's up Y'all? To anyone reading this...well...thanks for sticking around. I've been very MIA lately. I'll spare you the details, but life's been hard. But I've been thinking about photos and....how I haven't been doing them. I won't lie...a lot of the motivation hasn't been there.
