ACCEPTANCES !

okay yall, here it is ! i seriously had such a hard time deciding between all of these apps because every single one of them was amazing to read and so wonderful. i wish i could accept everyone ! but seriously, i just want to thank you all for the hard work you’ve done, and for applying at all. i did not think in my wildest dreams that this group was going to get this many applications, but i’m so glad it did and i’m so inspired by all the people who went above and beyond in their applications. i literally loved every one that i got, and it was nearly impossible to choose for me. you all should feel proud of your work whether or not you’re accepted. again, thank you so so so much <3

below the cut are the list of acceptances, with my (slightly rambly) comments. accepted applicants will have 24 hours to send in their accounts. after that, i will be going through the remaining applicants for that spot before opening it for new applications ! as accounts are sent in i’ll be sending out the discord link. again, i love you all so much and thank you for bearing with me through this.

MUSE A: NAOMI AHN has been cast in the role of ZOEY LEE ( mun: zia ! )

zia, you are an amazing writer! when i read your bios for naomi and zoey, i was in AWE at not only your skills, but also the way that every piece of information added something important to understanding both of their characters. to me, they embody the drive and competitive spirit of muse a, but added super interesting twists on the characters. i’m excited to see where you take naomi and zoey, and i can’t wait to rp with you!

MUSE B: PALOMA VIDAL has been cast in the role of VALENTINA ROMERO ( mun: izzy ! )

izzy, all of the apps for muse b were amazing -- hands down the best group of apps for any muse, so this decision was super difficult. but for me, your app really stood out because you approached muse b in a different way. reading your biography for her, i felt like you really understood the real person behind the spotlight that seems to shine on muse b. and paloma? WOW. i absolutely love the character you’ve created, and every muse post, headcanon and edit proved that (those promo posters? AMAZING.) overall, you did a fantastic job and i can’t wait to see where you go with paloma!

MUSE C: JUDE MADSEN-WELLS has been cast in the role of BROOKS BENNETT ( mun: b ! )

b, the minute i finished reading your application, i said “we have our muse c!” the bio was so well thought out (and i loved the format, i thought it was beyond cute!) not only do i love harry styles, but i love jude -- and i can’t wait to see how his personality influences his character and vice versa. when writing the bones of muse c, i got a little worried because it is the type of character that can get stereotypical or unbelievable without care or thought put into it, but every detail you brought with the muse posts really solidified to me that you understand muse c. there are no doubts in my mind you’ll play this character beautifully!

MUSE D: GABRIEL ALEXANDER has been cast in the role of PHILLIP LOGAN ( mun: mimi ! )

mimi, reading your application i felt super excited to see what you are going to do next with gabe, and that excitement kind of mirrors his character to me! you gave me just enough to keep me guessing, but within that you gave me a strongly defined character with the little things that make a person who they are. i also really loved your take on muse d and it was exactly what i imagined. amazing job!

MUSE F: WILLIAM LAWTON has been cast in the role of JAMES CONROY ( mun: amanda ! )

amanda, both(!!) of your apps were incredible. i’m heartbroken i can’t accept you for both muses honestly, because the effort that you put in was above and beyond, and i really went back and forth for a long time. however, one thing that was never in doubt was that you belong in this group, and i was ultimately so happy to accept your app for muse f! will is already such a quirky, dynamic character and his backstory was by FAR the most imaginative and original one i saw in any app. and your interpretation of muse f was spot-on! one thing that particularly struck me was the quote “james conroy is good at heart” because that’s so essential to his character, and it’s something that was missing from other apps. thank you so much for your dedication and i can’t wait to see you on the dash!

MUSE G: PAYTON JAMES HARLOW has been cast in the role of HARPER HAYES ( mun: ali ! )

ali, this app was absolutely the most fun to read because it was so incredibly detailed and thought out. i know you said i didn’t have to read everything but i totally wanted even more! with the timelines and the family background included, i literally felt like i was reading not only about payton but about her entire universe and that made me scream because i was so excited!! what absolutely clinched your application for me was your interpretation of muse g because it was just so? right? gahhh i’m rambling but i’m so happy with this application and so excited to rp with you!

MUSE H: HARVEY STRATHMORE has been cast in the role of MATTI JAMES ( mun: riley ! )

riley, the work that you put into this app is astounding to me! everything about harvey shines off the page, and all the details you added made him feel living and breathing. he’s such a unique character and i’m really looking forward to seeing where you decide to take him! i especially loved the edits you provided as i thought they were super creative. now muse h is my baby of all the muses, and so i was really worried i wasn’t going to find anyone who i thought could strike the right balance with him. but your app literally embodied how i feel about muse h, like i had to check i didn’t write it myself. it was incredible! congratulations and i’m excited to write with you!

MUSE I: YANG JAEBIN has been cast in the role of FLETCHER PARK ( mun: sarah ! )

sarah, i really enjoyed your app and your interpretation of muse i! i think it’s really perfect and i love the symbiosis that jaebin and fletcher have. looking at your pinterest board really solidified for me that you had a strong grasp on both your muse and the character they play, and i can’t wait to see what you do with both of them! congratulations :-)

MUSE J: HONOR CLARKE-MONTGOMERY has been cast in the role of CASSIE HWANG ( mun: victoria ! )

this was definitely the hardest decision i had to make tonight, because all the apps were absolutely fantastic. i loved reading every single character you all came up with -- honor is no exception. with her incredibly detailed backstory, stats, and muse posts, i was in awe of how well you portrayed her. but victoria, your interpretation of muse j was just so perfect! it wasn’t exactly the way i’d pictured her when i had first imagined the skeletons, but now that i’ve read your app i literally can’t picture her any other way. you understood her in a way that the other apps (and even me!!) didn’t. and cassie’s deeper similarities with honor... chef’s kiss! i’m so ecstatic that you’ve applied and i can’t wait to see what you do with honor.

MUSE K: KAIA BURKE has been cast in the role of LARA LAMBE ( mun: v ! )

v, i fell in love with kaia and lara while reading your app, and that’s how i knew it had to be you! you really understood the charismatic energy of muse k and brought it to the forefront. i absolutely loved the muse blog you created! reading her backstory was awesome, but then looking at the magazine edits you created? the timeline of all her films? the awards she’s received? oh my gosh, it was amazing. thank you for bringing this vision to life so perfectly!

MUSE L: ATLAS GREENE has been cast in the role of XAVIER HASTINGS ( mun: deven ! )

deven, i was totally blown away by this app! muse l was definitely one of the skeletons that was most mysterious to me and i was expecting to see a lot of different interpretations. i absolutely LOVED yours (especially all your muse posts! so perfect), and i think in your hands muse l has so much potential. and atlas!! i love him as a character, he’s completely different from any other app i received and i’m so excited to see where you take him. but even further than that i can clearly see all the blood, sweat, and tears you put into him, and it paid off. i’m so excited to see you on the dash!

avengers endgame

this film ruined me

don’t get me wrong

i loved the film

but it ruined me

i don’t know how to function in a world where tony stark is gone

i genuinely don’t

i’m not ready for a marvel cinematic universe where he isn’t there anymore

but i just

i needed somewhere to write down how i feel about this film

so here it is:

(sorry guys i couldn’t help myself)

thoughts about the film in (mostly) chronological order:

i said this ages ago and it was very satisfying that carol saved tony. and i love tony and nebula’s soft friendship so much and i wish we could’ve seen more of it

the naked happiness and surprise on nebula’s face when tony says that she won makes me cry so much, because she’s so used to always losing and here is this man who she’s never met before who is completely okay w her winning (her own sister wasn’t okay w her winning)

i love that carol saved tony, but i hate that rhodey wasn’t the first person to get to tony. don’t get me wrong- my stevetony heart jumped out when steve ran up to him and wrapped his arms around him, but a huge visceral part of me wishes that it had been rhodey

i hated seeing tony that thin. i know that it was necessary and it fits, but it broke my heart

i loved the continuity of this film. tony has been saying for years that there’s a bigger threat out there and they all dismissed him as paranoid and now this bigger threat came and killed half the universe and tony? tony almost died in space. the anger and pain in that scene, the way he singles out steve and thrusts the arc reactor on him before collapsing, that scene gives me vindictive pleasure

i also really appreciate clint’s arc in this. i feel like a rogue merc assassin who singles out mobsters that survived the snap that claimed his family is very in character for him

scott and cassie’s reunion made my heart soar

and i should say; this film is the first avengers film where the characters give tony the respect he deserves

the fact that they first turn to tony for help; the fact that neither steve nor natasha try to pressure him or manipulate him into helping; the fact that steve trusts his plan almost immediately; thats the deference tony deserved from film 1 and i’m glad he finally got it

this film gave steve a personality- yall have no idea how long i’ve waited for steve rogers to have a personality. this is the first film where we see steve rogers instead of captain america(TM) and it makes me sad that its taken that long

THOR’S BEER BELLY IS EVERYTHING. that is how normal people (and asgardians apparently) mourn

but i have to say, this film didn’t acknowledge loki at all and i think thats so shitty given that ragnorak paved for their relationship

i wish there had been some acknowledgment that thor was mourning loki as well

like him stopping in front of loki’s prison for a second, or him mentioning his brother in passing

this film found me asgardian family trope baited and i don’t appreciate that

i wish we’d had more rhodey&nebula scenes and more tony&nebula scenes, but i am happy with what i had

i have to say though, the film script was very well done everything tied together really well and nothing seemed particularly forced or out of place

NATASHA DYING THOUGH

that

that broke me

i mean, it makes sense, since natasha and tony were the first 2 avengers introduced to the mcu and so they should be the ones to die (in this house we don’t acknowledge the incredible hulk as a film) but that still took me by surprise

i wish they’d done it differently though

i wish clint and natasha hadn’t fought, i wish that clint would’ve walked with her to the end of the cliff, held her close and then just let go

i feel like the fight cheapened it, and tried to add this shock effect that just didn’t exist

clint has a family, i always knew it was going to be natasha

steve, tony, thor- i was prepared fo; but natasha blindsided me

speaking of steve and tony

there were so many stevetony moments in this film?

tony yelling at steve after he comes back from space

tony quipping w steve 5 years later “i miss that giddy optimism”

steve appreciating that tony is risking his daughter’s life for this hell mission- and acknowledging that

“do you trust me?” “i do”

ALSO TONY SPENDS HIS TIME STARING AT STEVE’S ASS i gotta say when you’re staring at another fella’s ass it means you’re gay them’s the rules

BEFORE I FORGET

THAT SCENE WITH HOWARD

im in 2 minds about it

because

don’t get me wrong; i hate howard stark

but this is about tony

and i think there’s something very cathartic about the fact that tony got to see his dad as the person people said he was, instead of the man who abused him all his life

and idk i feel like he needed that

i’ve gotta be honest though, i feel robbed of an edwin jarvis and tony scene. edwin jarvis was the man that raised tony, not howard- and i so wish he could’ve gotten a chance to talk to the man one last time

one of the biggest losses in the MCU is when tony loves JARVIS, the AI that’s been with him through everything; and i genuinely feel like it would’ve been more appropriate for him to talk to Edwin rather than H*ward

the irondad and spiderson feels jumped out in this film too

i genuinely believe that this film was the penultimate in tony’s arc; because everybody else is fighting for the casualties they can’t see but tony is fighting the casualty he did see

tony stark is fighting for peter parker and peter parker alone and you can not change my mind

everybody else is avenging the world, tony stark is avenging his son

which is why i adore that scene in the final battle where tony cuts peter off mid sentence to give him a hug and i just -

tony stark’s death ruined me

it genuinely broke my heart

and i think its very “full circle” that he says ‘i am iron man’ and that rhodey is the first person to reach him after he uses the stones, that pepper says “its okay we’ll be okay you can rest now”

that line is so important because tony was fighting for them. for his spiderkid, for his wife, for his bestfriend, and he can rest knowing that he saved their lives

speaking of the final battle though, i genuinely don’t appreciate the implication that steve is worthy enough to wield Mjolnir

idk

something about that rubs me wrong

and as much as i love steve’s ending scene and the fact that the shield goes to sam (bucky letting sam go see old!steve?? that moment between them?? i love that) i genuinely believe that the film should’ve ended with tony’s funeral

i do not appreciate that wendy bitchimoff got her own scene because i do not appreciate wendy bitchimoff

that should’ve been clint and steve; because natasha and steve’s friendship is literally one of the only good things to come out of steve’s arc in the mcu

anyway

the film should’ve ended with morgan asking for cheeseburgers

because this mcu belongs to tony stark

and this film is the only avengers film where tony is given his due

and it is only the film where he dies

so excuse me

I’m on the road to NY as we speak! Special shout out to @sarahwroteathing cuz I’m gonna see her fuckin gorgeous face in a little over 24 hours and I COULDN’T BE HAPPIER!!!! The first time Steve is hypnotized by your voice is when he finds you laughing with Scott’s daughter, Cassie. The music of your giggles was a luxury he wasn’t used to. So soft, so beautiful, so full of a joy he hasn’t felt in years. Bucky notices the way his best friend’s attention is suddenly captured by you and tells him to go introduce himself. Steve cracks a smile and dismisses the thought immediately with a slow pull from his beer.

He can’t help but spare glances your way while the party plays around him. You’re perfectly content sitting with the little girl, telling her stories and laughing at hers in turn. Tony wanders over to you, and Steve watches as your face falls into an easy smile. He wishes he could hear the undoubtedly sweet way you greet him. There’s just something about you, he knows that everything you do has an undercurrent of grace.

Tony gestures over to where Steve, Bucky, and Sam are sitting and your eyes trail to him. His heart stutters as your eyes meet his and a small smile graces your lips. You turn back to Tony, taking his proffered hand and rising to your feet.

Steve turns suddenly, hoping to look like he’d been in Bucky and Sam’s conversation and not watching you from the corner of his eye-- y’know, the perfect embodiment of nonchalance -- only to find that his friends had left and he hadn’t realized it. He scanned the room, slightly panicked, until he found Bucky over by the bar with a smug smile firmly in place as his eyes flickered between Steve and the woman that had captured his friend’s attention.

That jerk, he set this little meeting up! And Steve was sure that he was none too subtle about it. Tony would surely have a field day knowing he’d been mesmerized by you. But Steve couldn’t dwell on it for too long. You’re laughing at something Tony says as you both come to a full stop before him.

“Cap, have you met this beauty? She’s my assistant, I could have sworn you’d been introduced before--”

You laugh, pushing your shoulder into Tony’s side. “I’m Bruce’s assistant. He’s not gonna be happy if you keep trying to steal me away.”

“Jolly Green knows I like to push his buttons.”

You shake your head good naturedly at Tony before extending your hand and telling Steve your name. He repeated it, tasting it in his mouth as he smiled at you and shakes your hand.

You duck your head, suddenly struck shy by the unintentional intensity of his gaze. Your voice was rendered soft and sweet, feeling suddenly coy. “It’s nice to finally meet you, Captain Rogers--”

“Call me Steve. Please.” His lips quirked up as your neck grew hot. Your name is called behind you. Turning, you find Cassie frantically waving you over. As you turn back to the boys in front of you, you duck your head again in apology. “Excuse me, gentlemen, there’s an urgent matter that requires my attention.”

Steve can feel his heart swelling as he watches you suppress your smile and skip across the room to Cassie.

“Y’know, she’s just as smitten with you, gramps. I’ve only heard that voice when she met Wilson a few weeks back.”

Steve shakes his head, trying so hard to focus on Tony’s words. “What d’you mean?”

“That almost sickeningly sweet tone she was using? Her voice does that when she’s around people she admires.”

Steve scoffs, watching you laugh and pick up Cassie. “Admires?”

“Is it so crazy to believe?” Tony asks, watching Steve as he watches you. “She could be really good for you.”

The second time, Steve’s walking through the compound. He’s just finished up his training with Wanda, decidedly making his way to the kitchen for a bottle of water before heading to his room to shower. He heard cabinets closing, ceramic cups clinking together, and a soft melody wafting through the air. When he enters, he finds you by the stove mixing tea bags into a pot of simmering water. You’re lost in your own head as you hum and dance around in the space.

You tossed your hair over your shoulder as you started to sway to the song, humming and singing under your breath. It’s the most beautiful sound he’s ever heard, only second to your laugh.

He could stand here and listen to your quiet melodies for hours, but Steve also doesn’t want to look like some creep just standing here and watching you make tea. You’ve had a few encounters, a few more conversations, but Steve wouldn’t say this was a friendship. Not just yet.

Your favorite crooning song comes on, you can feel the smile light up your face. You feel brave and sing just a little louder. Not by much though, because this tower is full of people and you have an irrational fear of people hearing you sing. An instrumental reprieve has you swaying again as you remove the tea from the pot and get the cups ready.

“Hey, you.”

Your heart skips in your chest as a smile takes over your face. You turn to face Steve, who’s smiling politely and ducking into the fridge for a water bottle. “Hiya, Steve.”

“How’s your day going?”

“Mmh, ya know, listening to my favorite calming songs and making tea for myself and Bruce is really awfully stressful.” you grin through your sarcasm, giggling a bit at the end. Steve smiles as he watches you pour the tea gracefully into the cups. “Oh, I’m glad I found you, though. Bruce was saying that he needed you to come by the lab for a bit. You know, just--whenever you have time.”

“Yeah, of course. Let me get cleaned up and I’ll be up there soon.”

“Okay.”

He grins at you as he leaves, and you can’t help but smile at him while feeling your heart inflate at the thought of seeing him again.

The third time, Steve’s in the middle of a mission debrief. He’s mid sentence when he hears your laugh echoing from the next room over. He knows it’s you. There’s no one else that has a laugh that makes his heart sing like this.

He shakes it off, hoping no one noticed his momentary pause and continued to give his report until he takes his seat.

After that, he can’t focus. His attention is captured by your muffled voice. He’s wondering who you’re speaking to, what you’re doing on this floor. Would it be inappropriate to ask you on a date? You had known each other for quite some time now… How would Dr. Banner feel about Steve dating his assistant? Should he ask his permission first? No, that’s silly you’re not his daughter or anything. Maybe he’ll just ask him about it? See what he thinks?

Steve has to resist finding you after they’re dismissed. He would probably just end up asking you on a date by blurting it out, and that’s not how he wanted to do this. You deserved more finesse.

The fourth time, Steve is accompanying you to an awards banquet in Dr. Banner’s honor. Bruce was still missing in action, so you accepted the award on his behalf. The way you spoke with such love and adoration for the man that most of the world feared sent Steve tumbling head over heels for you. As you spoke about the work that you helped Bruce with, you were filled with passion and confidence, and Steve couldn’t get enough of it.

Sure, over the past few months that you two had been dating exclusively, he’d seen some of this. But, for you to bear your soul to the whole conference, to have such power and conviction in your voice; something rose up in Steve and he knew he wanted to marry you. Right now. This second.

The thought both thrilled and terrified him, but he knew he needed to pump the breaks. You hadn’t discussed marriage...or a family for that matter. You weren’t even his girlfriend, officially, yet. Steve decides at the end of the night that he’s going to ask you to be his girl and that you’ll take it a step at a time after that.

Once you got back to the table, Steve rose out of his seat respectfully and pulled your chair out for you. That little bit of old time charm always made you blush. When he sat back down, you grabbed your phone off the table and swiped open the camera app, telling him to scoot closer. You situated the award between you both and took several pictures: from the sweet ones you’d keep for yourself to the goofy one you planned on sending to Bruce.

Opening your chat thread, you deflate a little seeing he hasn’t responded. You’d sent him multiple texts over the time he’s been gone. You added your picture to the line of texts, including: Miss you, boss! Hope your vacay is worth it. I’ll keep this safe for you. <3

Steve watches your face as you hit send, pulling you into a half hug and kissing your temple. “I just don’t want him to think I’ve forgotten him.” You explain, knowing he’d seen the thread of unresponded messages.

Steve pulled you in for another kiss in your hair. The capacity in which you loved people around you made his chest puff with pride. “I know, sweetheart. I know.”

The fifth time, Steve needed to hear your voice. He needed it like a drug. He’d been dragged back into the fight and it’s been weeks since he’s seen you. He calls you as soon as he collapses on the quinjet, needing you to calm him down.

The phone rings and rings, each seeming longer than the last until your sleepy voice comes through. “Steve?”

His shoulders relax, slumping with relief. If he could wrap himself in the sleepy way you said his name, he would die a happy man. He sits with it, soaks it in for a moment, forgetting you’re actually on the phone.

“Stevie?” Your voice rises a little in panic. “Are you okay?”

He realizes he hasn’t said anything and smiles apologetically even though you can’t see it. “Sorry, sweetheart. I’m okay.”

“Are you sure?” You tease, some of the roughness ebbing out of your voice. “Use your Life Alert if you need it, okay? I can’t fly halfway across the world just to help you get up.”

He laughs quietly, not wanting to disturb his teammates. “God, I miss you,” He blurts out. He hears your smile when you tell him you miss him too and it makes his heart flutter. “We’re on our way home.”

“Good. I’m in desperate need of a hug from my boyfriend. He’s been gone way too long. Oh, while I’ve got you on the phone, I need your opinion on something.” You’re suddenly more alert as you speak, but Steve is lost in the all-consuming way his heart swells when you talk. He’s distracted by the smile on his face and the way he feels lighter than air. How long has he been in love with you? Why is he only now realizing that he hasn’t said it to you yet? Did you know?

He gathers his courage, feeling like he has to tell you right now. He’s running on just a few hours of sleep, and this might not be the best decision, but damn it, it feels important. “Hey, sweetheart?” he calls, waiting for your full attention.

“Yes, dear?”

His lip quirks up in a boyish smile as he takes a deep breath, willing his nerves away. “I love you.”

Your end of the phone is silent for a moment and it sends Steve into a panic. Was it too soon? It was probably too soon. He just needed you to know. He didn’t expect for you to say it back--

He hears a quiet, disbelieving laugh on your end, and he can practically see the smile you’re wearing as you say, “I love you, too, Steve.”

That was absolutely hypnotising. Before he realizes it, the words are tumbling from his mouth, “Say it again? Please?”

“I love you, Steve.”

God, he could live in this bliss forever.

god it was just really good and im glad i said fuck it and went to the late showing instead of waiting until tomorrow (today?) and i hope everyone else is satisfied with it the way i am and now im pumped for phase 4 and i cant wait for spider-man far from home and im just So Ready god damn!!!
