Ramattra had once hoped that omnics and humans could live in harmony with one another. Too, he had once convinced himself that he'd seen enough brutality and death to last him several lifetimes, and shed his cloak of war. He now understood how foolish his ideals were. As long as humanity scorned omnics, as long as his kind were slaughtered and decimated, Ramattra would see to it that omnics would prevail, even if it meant the only solution was the annihilation of humanity.

 Even then. ...However, there existed one glowing spark on the blight that was humanity, one such human that made him, if just for a moment, almost hopeful again. The electronic door of his quarters whooshed shut as he stepped inside. These days, there weren't many aspects of humanity he found worthy of salvation. Very little about humans appealed to him, and yet he made exceptions for you. How could he think that you  were deserving of anything else but his protection when you sought him out after battles, worried hands finding every nick in his metal and fault in his wiring? You possessed a uniquely caring and compassionate heart for your kind, and were one of the few humans he knew to be sympathetic to his cause. Even now as he knelt beside you in the bed of blankets, you reached for him, fingertips mapping and re-mapping the ridges and angles of his body you knew so well. You were so sweet to fret over him when it was you with the vulnerable, fleshy body. It would take no effort at all for him to crush every bone in your hand, and yet you held his with infinite tenderness, flexing each silicone tendon as if checking for damage. Ramattra soothed away your concerns and instead welcomed you into his embrace, guiding you to sit between his folded legs. Back-to-chest, he faintly sensed your heartbeat as it pulsed regularly beneath your skin. Such an odd, unfamiliar thing to an omnic whose body thrummed with constant energy, but he found it a comfort. It meant you were alive, after all. You stretched to press your lips against the edge of his faceplate in a 'kiss' as you settled against him. There was little he could do to reciprocate your affections except to rest his head atop yours, curving himself around you to cocoon you against his front. He had neither the need for a heart nor a pair of lungs. Even still, he focused on the rhythm of your breathing as each exhale warmed the metal of his chassis, drawing his world smaller and smaller until it was the only sensation he registered. He had always wanted a brighter future for his people. As Ramattra sunk into his meditations, he understood with a startling realization that he wanted the future to include you at his side.

A thick steak cut round to kind of mimi #c the round tenderloin or whatever it is in a wellington. instead of the puff pastry being wrapped around - I just did star shaped cut outs #of pastry and baked them and put them on top (to go with the star theme). instead of mushroom duxelles being wrapped around in pastry #its in a little circle under the steak. and instead of mustard being brushed onto the meat I made a mustard gravy sauce type of thing #Then of course asparagus on the side.. my favorite... Though I know some wellington #also has a layer of prosciutto I think. or I saw one person use crepes. I didn't feel it was necessary to incorporate that too lol #8. bapy son helping me do a giant puzzle that took me hours and I had no idea it was actually that large of a puzzle #until I started putting it together and for some reason it made me stressed by the end instead of relaxed lol.. puzzle fatigue #photo diary

Black Lion Keys 2: Probability Boogaloo

We've been here before but now I am doing all the living stories and expansion, not including SoTO cause it's not done yet <3 (also redid some things I thought were off about my original)

The wiki says there's a 30% chance of getting a key for maps but from my own searching of other peoples experiences, it seems closer to 25%, so i've gone with that for the sake of ease!

So what are the chances of you getting a black lion key from every map from the expansions? And what's the chance of getting a key from every single possible map? Let's explore, shall we?

First note, no season 1! There's only Southsun Cove added with that and you can't get a key from it! Sorry Scarlet :( Second note, any errors about jumping puzzles are because I was checking the list on the wiki! Sorry if any were missed!

LWS2: Glint's Prophecy

While there are 8 story parts there were only 2 maps added, there's not a huge amount to go over here. There are 8 waypoints, 0 renown hearts, 40 points of interest, 11 hero points, 13 vistas, and 2 jumping puzzles! You've got a 6.25% chance of getting keys from both maps! Which is by far the highest out of everything I'm about to go over.

Heart Of Thorns

The first expansion to Guild Wars 2, I remember pre-ordering this! Introducing raids, the revenant, and elite specialisations! There are 4 maps that make up the HoT part of The Heart Of Maguuma, containing 32 waypoints, 0 renown hearts, 92 points of interest, 40 hero points, 25 vistas, and 5 jumping puzzles! You have a 0.390625% chance of getting a key from every map!

LWS3: Glint's Legacy

This has 6 story parts and a new map for each one! Bloodstone Fen is a map used for key farming, as it has no renown hearts and very few things to get for map completion. The 6 maps contain 17 waypoints, 24 renown hearts, 98 points of interest, 0 hero points, 33 vistas, and 3 jumping puzzles! You have a 0.02441406% chance of getting a key from every map!

Path of Fire

The second expansion, bringing in mounts and more elite specs! It also brought in 3 new raid wings! There are 5 maps and radically fewer waypoints comparatively, with only 23! There are 27 renown hearts, 166 points of interest, 29 hero points, 51 vistas, and 0 jumping puzzles! You have a 0.09765625% chance of getting a key from every map!

LWS4: Rise of Kralkatorrik

A lot of people cite this living story as their favourite part of gw2 story! It brought in 2 new mounts, the roller beetle and the skyscale! There are 6 maps here, containing 19 waypoints, 19 renown hearts, 158 points of interest, 0 hero points, 36 vistas, and 1 jumping puzzle! You have a 0.02441406% chance of getting a key from every map!

LWS5: Icebrood Saga

A living story I never actually finished and still giggle at the shortening of its name. It brought in 3 very large maps! These maps contain 7 waypoints, 0 renown hearts, 97 points of interest, 0 hero points, 34 vistas, and 1 jumping puzzle. You have a 1.5625% chance of getting a key for every map!

End Of Dragons

The third expansion that brought an end to a decade long storyline! Introducing jadebots, skiffs, the siege turtle and yet more elite specs! This expansion brought in 5 maps, including the later added Gyala Delve! These contain 24 waypoints, 9 renown hearts, a staggering 196 points of interest, 30 hero points, 23 vistas, and 2 jumping puzzles! You have a 0.09765625% chance of getting a key for every map!

Conclusion

It's nigh on impossible to get keys for every map but it is very fun to think about! Getting a key from every map from every living story and expansion is a 2.1684039x10^-17% chance! In non standard form this is 0.000000000000000021684039% That's absolutely tiny!

But for every single map you could possible get a key on? How tiny would that be?

It would be a 1.92592916x10^-32% chance.

I cannot even think of what to compare this to. A single amu (atomic mass unit) or dalton is 1.66x10^-24 grams. This probablity is even tinier than that.

Got yelled at in a store by a random man today because I’m disabled

I have an invisible disability. I’m having a bit of a bad brain day today, and it’s taking me a lot longer than normal to process things. I was in a game store and I was concentrating on an item I was looking to pick up, trying to remember exactly what it was I was after because I couldn’t quite remember what I’d come in for

The person who was working there spoke to me, and because of the bad brain day, and the fact that I was already thinking about something else, it took me a moment to realise she was talking to me. Then after I realised she was talking to me I had to try and to work out what she’d said. I have problems with audio processing at the best of times, but today has been worse than normal. The loud music and bright lights in the store really didn’t help either

Before I could figure out what she had said, and just before I was about to ask her to repeat herself, I heard my friend say something to to the worker.

Then I heard a man yelling. Again, I was having trouble processing so it took me a while to realise the man was yelling at me. I can’t emphasise enough how confused and overwhelmed I was at this point

I couldn’t understand what he was saying at first, but after a few seconds I realised he was angry at me. He was yelling at me for ignoring the worker and for apparently having a “mucky” look on my face?? (I was wearing a mask?). I was super confused

My friend spoke up and told the man that they’d responded to the worker for me, so she hadn’t been ignored, and that I had a disability and that sometimes it took me a little while to process things, and that sometimes I have trouble speaking. They explained that I wasn’t ignoring her and that wasn’t deliberately making any face

I couldn’t speak the whole time. I was just too confused and my brain just wouldn’t. I don’t know who this man is at all, but I think he was just another customer? He was talking with the worker the entire time I was in there, so maybe he was a friend of theirs? I can’t really even remember what he looks like, just that he came up to my chest, was older (like maybe 40’s?) and I think he had a British accent? Regardless even after being told that I have a disability and I wasn’t being rude, he continued scowling at me and wouldn’t hear it. He insisted that I had deliberately ignored her and that I was making a face he didn’t like?? (I didn’t think I was making any face at all??? I was just trying to get my brain to work?? Plus I was wearing a mask so idk how he could see my face at all??)

I was so confused and I wasn’t in any state to handle confrontation, so I thought it would be for the best if I just left

Anyways I never did work out exactly what the worker had said to me, but my friend told me that she’d just asked if I needed any help, and that they had answered for me because they knew I wasn’t having a good brain day. I never got to speak to, or apologies to the worker either for the misunderstanding. I passed by the same store a little while later on my way home, but that man was still in there chatting to the employee

I’d always had good interactions with that employee too, so it was disappointing to see her ignore the situation and just keep chatting to the man like nothing had happened. The store prides itself on being inclusive and supportive of people with disabilities too, so it’s especially disappointing to see such a lack of understanding and respect towards disabled customers

Sorry for venting. This happened a few hours ago, but my brain is just catching up to it now. And now that it has the OCD won’t stop ruminating on what happened. I’m genuinely so confused and don’t understand what I did wrong, or what I could have possibly done different? Especially during a shutdown

Oh well, nothing I can do about it now I guess?
