#to hell and back again #i genuinely can't believe it's a year but i guess that's how time works huh :') #anyway umm gonna leave some retrospective thoughts in the tags: #1. i hold this fic near to my heart but also have a very complicated relationship with it now- #mostly bc i feel like my writing has improved so much and it's hard for me to reread parts of this lol #2. i honestly feel like it's a product of its time? like i think if i was publishing it now people wouldn't like it nearly as much #(especially with the opening line wHICH HAS A POINT AND COMES FULL CIRCLE AT THE END OK JUST TRUST ME) #3. on a sadder note this also means it's been a year since we had to put my family's eldest dog down #i remember i was gonna post this first chapter later when i had finished another fic up #but then our dog just like. straight up started dying on my mom's bedroom floor #and my mom was too distressed/upset to take her to the vet so i had to put her in my car and take her on my own #and then had to go to work right after that #so yeah i was upset and was like 'well dammit im gonna post this then bc it's silly and makes me laugh and i am sad' #so yeah!! some thoughts and behind the scenes info for anyone who's bothered to read this many tags #idk these things just feel like Tags thoughts not Post thoughts #anyway thanks for all the love this one has gotten!! i'm glad people are still enjoying it though *will voice* it's been a year mike #byler

the only good thing about this work retreat is for the first time ever, i spoke about being queer and autistic (well to my work people) and i was welcomed by the group i worked with. they asked thoughtful questions, were really engaged with what i had to say, and told me they were so happy i shared that info with them.

#i have to carry her 1.6 km / 1 mile to the vet and then back and i guess she just felt like shredding her nose against the rubber grit #shhhh dont tell her that we're going back on friday to check on the inflammation #but shes feeling much better again! 😭🥹 i took this photo on the bench on the balcony where she begged for treats #and the soft treats are available again and i bought like 8 bags so we're good for at least a month or two #we just played and now shes begging for dinner and im so glad shes annoying again😭😭😭 #i cried so much the past weekend she wouldnt come out of my closet and would scream in a very weird voice when i tried to touch her #the vet was so nice to her she was like :3 mischa we're gonna be friends i tell you you secretly like me do you :3 #they we're so gentle and kind with her 😭 #they made her a little cave out of towels so shed feel better #and her liver is doing better too 😭 i was so afraid we fucked it up completely with the surgery and then the pain meds and the treats #hate to say it but this expensive vet is really worth it even if the surgery and appointments are like 2.6k euro #and back in 2018 sissys 3 day kidney dialysis stay was like... half of that

ok controversial opinion i actually dont mind kiryu and majima’s english voices

i went to my baby sisters schoolwide music/singing show and i literally left feeling so happy

#wind howls #the show was amazing 1st to 6th graders can b so full of talent and display it so beautifully when they have a good teacher forreal forreal #i watched a little boy go crazy on the bongo playing the beat for Mission Impossible while his friend did the melody on the piano #i was speechless the entire time. those two were 4th graders and they had the whole gym roaring with cheers and claps #and my baby sister was SO SO CUTE she accompanied the 5th graders on the recorder and then sung when it was the 6ths time #i cried i did 😭 they were so cute she was so cute she was so proud of herself anf im so so so proud of her #we also watched 2 videos of other students who played wonderful songs on the marimba and xylophones and thats so incredible #kids are so so talented #i also almost started crying whrn the 1st graders started singing because they are so small and their voices are so cute and im really weak #im so so so glad i went ohhh my GOD #im so so proud of my baby sister its unreal !!!! everyone congratulate her NOW

Fourty Eight chapters. There is now twice as many chapters in this as I thought there would be before I gave up on typing out my original outline. I just read the doc back and im glad i didnt stop it at just 24 cuz that would have sucked ass, im glad i spent 57 weeks of my life writing this silly little story.

i stopped typing up the outline because i kept adding more things in the middle of the chapter outlines and i just kept getting more and more behind.

when im done writing this story, I think i would like to live stream going through all the chapters and adding director's commentary to them. If i do I'll definitely read out my outline as well, and y'all will see why I'm not writing this story as a fan fiction.

It would be fun putting on character voices, too, i can dig it. lmk if thats something yall would be interested in. Of course we have a loooooong way to go until i finish this story still, so ah,,, yeah keep tuned
