people wanting Sam to be a Special Girl so bad (including himself) when over and over the literal text says there is Nothing actually special abt him (or any of the Special Children!!!!!) they literally only got their powers because of Azazel’s blood (and then seemingly lost their powers when he dies, giving good textual evidence for the theory that their powers were drawing on Azazel’s own powers). And then Sam only gets powers again (but different ones! Not telekinesis or other Special Children powers) when he drinks regular demon blood in s4. Like it’s verrrrry clear in the text that his powers are derived from introducing substances into his system, they are not inherent. Sam’s own insecurities abt his inherent monsterhood and impurity color assumptions and how people read him but those are crucially his own skewed perceptions. But the actual text shows us that there was nothing special abt him or the other children. They were simply the children of victims he conned into making deals with him. But none of them were born monstrous or different, they were simply dosed with Azazel’s blood as babies and that worked their way into their systems and lay dormant until he decided to activate their powers (that they draw from him). Thee only thing Sam has that gave an edge over the other Special Children is his Lucifer bloodline but that in itself only makes him a stronger vessel but doesn’t give him any additional powers, just like being the Michael vessel or being a vessel for Cas didn’t give Dean (and Adam) or Jimmy any additional powers. I know people want Sam to be Special and different (and Sam is convinced he is, for better or for worse) but the thing is, he really really isn’t ! And I mean that with love. Sam thinks he’s doomed, that he’s monstrous and inherent impure and Wrong, but he’s not! He was not born bad or even different. He’s not Wrong to feel that way, he’s entitled to his feelings, but just because he feels something doesn’t make it factually true. And his powers are shows over and over to originate from introducing outside substances (demon blood) into his system. I think anyone regularly consuming demon blood (or given blood from a powerful demon like a Prince of Hell) could manifest these kinds of powers, we just didn’t get to see that happen again. Also on that note, feeding on grace should’ve been a thing and we should’ve seen Dean with angel powers as a fun little parallel. Ok, the end.

Augusta originally worked as a part time astronaut at a Star Depot, which collected star Fragments and sent them back to earth to be used as fuel similar to nuclear power.

Augusta wasn’t really in a good place at the time while working there. She never had any kind of big ambition in life and wanted to live life peacefully, but knew that “getting by” isn’t enough for her to survive. People around her kept expecting so much of her that she didn’t know what to tell them.

Working as an astronaut helps take her mind off things at first, but then she starts to feel worse. She doesn’t get invited out to things, but she doesn’t really make any effort to try, and relatives are asking how she’s doing and she doesn’t know what to tell them without it turning into a lecture. and over time it piles up

First she starts asking for more shifts handling and shipping the stars. Then she asks to do overtime. And finally one day she finds a tiny Fragment on the floor.

The thing about Fragments is that they change your body and can make you very sick if youre near them for too long.

Tomorrow would be a holiday and the building would be closed. The Shift manager, who promised to close up, left early for drinks with coworkers. So she was the only employee working.

So she picks up the star and swallows it expecting to die. But instead her hair turns pink and the dust around her floats, and when she breathes no air comes out. The Star fused to her body and latched to her heart.

Basically, her suicide attempt gave her her own way to live and pink hair as a bonus lol

Not her whole Body either just the chest and Torsi since the Stars there #*tired #I should also mention I don’t know exactly everything about radiation but enough to build this. so if it doesn’t sound like how radiation #works don’t worry about it cause I literally would not know and it’s for fun OC purposes anyway #thank you so much for asking btw’!!!! So @frostbitebakery tagged me in a last line meme, but in the spirit of six sentence sunday I am instead posting the last six paragraphs I wrote because I think they're chewy and tasty and deserve to be seen and likely otherwise won't be. Thanks Frost!

And Ice in turn looks undeniably, deeply sad. Not grieving or mauldin or hopeless or another dozen emotions that Maverick has seen of him that are shades of that feeling, but simply, obviously, incredibly unhappy. Ice carries an dissatisfaction inside him – different to the one that Maverick has, the one that has him burning like a star coming through the stratosphere, but there all the same – and there’s an underlying sorrow that accompanies that, always, but that’s not what this is. Now, he’s just sad, and Maverick has done that to him.  “We tried, didn’t we?” Ice asks, and somehow, even through that sadness, he smiles. Maverick wants to claw through the suddenly huge chasm of distance between them and cup his face in his hands, turn that smile into a true laugh, to make everything right again. To do anything to make Ice happy again. It’s intolerable that anyone hurt Ice. Even him. Maybe especially him. “Yeah,” Maverick says through a thick throat, voice catching. “We gave it a red hot go.”  “I still would do it,” Ice says, eyes deep, seeing, knowing. Not moving from Maverick’s face. Like he wants to savour every second left they have together. “I’d still want to try, even if I knew we couldn’t make it work. I’d still want to know what I know of you, Mav.”  And it hurts like a bitch. Like Ice has stood up and suckerpunched the air out of him, except that would only be a physical pain, and this one instead scours itself deep onto Maverick’s heart. “You can’t say shit like that,” Maverick says, breathless, almost choking on his grief, and Ice closes his eyes, that shade of a smile disappearing from his face. Now, he just looks tired.  “It’s the truth,” he insists. “I don’t usually get to tell the truth, but I’m not going to avoid it here. Even if it was only for a summer – I’d want you to be mine.”

🍂 Winn speaking. Somebody stop us before this story becomes more than one novel. I'm being swallowed by the madness here.

#we've been thinking a lot about the timeline of the setting and how there's a whole other story in the 'past' that could be explored #and a character who's absence is the only reason the Ronans even exist. #Help. #alderhill #'young' Cairn is also someone I'm kind of itching to write. He was ejected into conflict after being a tree for decades.

I feel like me getting into ikepri is the result of New Thing To Focus On ( I have focused on isaac for almost 4 years straight, my first fanfic with him was in jan of 2020, and I know I liked him a bit before that), but also... accounts I follow getting more into ikepri also.

I use twibber mainly for a lot of ikeseries content, like following a lot of JP fanartists on there and such. I rarely run into character hate on there, I don't get weird messages claiming im a fake fan or whatever, and its just. Idk. I have more luck finding content without having to dig through a lot of negativity towards those who like the game/characters.

But now a lot of fanartists I follow have either deleted their account, or they've switched to primarily posting about ikepri. I think that also just inadvertently caused me to get into it more.

I miss a lot of the accounts I follow that are just Gone now though. I almost miss being excited about new events in ikevamp and stuff. Now, the writing has been such a steady train of poor quality and predictability for events that I just. Idk. I'm not as excited anymore, and it sucks. I was hyped for the election, but the prizes were so...???? Ugh.

I still play the game, at least log in a few times a week. I still love the characters to death. Ive just also focused a Lot on the game for the past few years, so a New Thing to have fun with has been preoccuping me. I miss having a lot of random conversations about vamp, though...

I don't know how much stuff im gonna write for ikepri, but I think I have to admit its in the roster now. Ikevamp stuff might be squished inbetween them because I am waiting for ikevamp to bring me more genuine excitement again.

I know I and many other people make fun of betheada titles for what they are, but I really do think they do the 'expansive open world you can get lost in' better than anyone else who tries to make that claim
