Most Visited Parks in Lisburn, Pennsylvania Area

There are a lot of parks in Lisburn, Pennsylvania alone and with the new addition of Adventure Crossings, it's safe to say there are even more! Parks can bring families closer together and provide a fun-filled way to enjoy the great outdoors. Whether you're looking for an adventure or just a moment to relax and unwind, a park is a great place for that!

Lower Allen Community Park

Lower Allen Community Park is a park in the city of Lower Allen Township, Pennsylvania. It is located at the corner of East Allen Avenue and North 2nd Street. The park features a playground and a picnic pavilion.

The park borders the Susquehanna River, and there is a boat launch for non-motorized boats.

The Lower Allen Township Parks and Recreation Department manages Lower Allen Community Park.

Yellow Breeches Park

Yellow Breeches Park is a popular park in the Lisburn, Pennsylvania area that offers plenty of fun for the whole family. The park offers a swimming pool, tennis courts, and playgrounds for kids to enjoy. There are also picnic tables and pavilions that can be rented out for special events. The park is large enough that you will never feel crowded, even on the busiest days.

Yellow Breeches Park is located at 1635 Yellow Breeches Road in Carlisle, PA 17015. It is open from May through October from 9:00am until sunset daily. There are no fees charged to enter this park but there are fees for certain activities such as swimming or renting out a pavilion.

Forest Park

Located at the end of South Walnut Street in Mechanicsburg, this park is well-known for its large fountain and fountain house. The fountain was constructed in 1937 by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) and was restored in 2002 by the Mechanicsburg Heritage Trust. The fountain house was built in 1993 by local volunteers and members of several Masonic lodges. It is home to an American flag that flies over the park at all times.

The park features a large playground for children, picnic tables, a basketball court, and an open field for games such as Frisbee or soccer.

John Saylor Smith Memorial Park

The John Saylor Smith Memorial Park is a small park, located at the intersection of High Street and Spring Garden Avenue in Mechanicsburg. The park was named after a prominent local figure, who was born in 1812 and died in 1888. This park is small but very popular, as it has a playground for children to play on and picnic tables for visitors to enjoy. There are also walking trails through the woods if you would like to experience nature without leaving town.

Southwest Regional Park

It's no surprise that Southwest Regional Park is one of the most popular parks in Mechanicsburg. With more than 35 miles of trails and a variety of other amenities, it's a great place to spend a day with your family or friends.

There are more than 35 miles of trails within the park, including parts of the Great Eastern Trail and Susquehannock Trail System. These trails offer plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. In addition to these trails, there are several picnic areas and playgrounds throughout the park grounds. There are also two lakes — Lake Jeanette and Lake Wintergreen — that provide opportunities for fishing and boating.

Walnut Bottom Soccer Complex

The Walnut Bottom Soccer Complex is one of the most popular parks in Mechanicsburg. It is located at 1120 Walnut Bottom Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. The park was established in 1967 and includes two soccer fields, two baseball fields, and a basketball court.

The park also has a playground for kids to play on as well as picnic tables and benches for people to sit on while they watch their children play.

The Walnut Bottom Soccer Complex is open year-round from dawn until dusk. The only exception is during inclement weather when it is closed until the weather clears up again. There are no fees associated with using this park; however there are some rules that must be followed while using it such as no dogs allowed on the premises or any other type of animal besides service dogs under any circumstances whatsoever due to safety concerns for both humans and animals alike not being able to be guaranteed if there were any type of incident happen involving an animal that was not properly trained for such an environment like this due to their unpredictable nature when left without supervision by their owner which can lead to serious injuries if proper precautions are not taken before entering such an area as this, such as not allowing any type of animals besides service dogs under any circumstances whatsoever due to safety concerns for both humans and animals alike not being able to be guaranteed if there were any type of incident happen involving an animal that was not properly trained for such an environment like this due to their unpredictable nature when left without supervision by their owner which can lead to serious injuries if proper precautions are not taken before entering such an area.

The Playground at the Clay Building

The Playground at the Clay Building is a public park that sits on the banks of the Susquehanna River in Mechanicsburg. It is one of two parks that were developed along the riverbank when the new Clay Building was constructed in 1988. The playground has a large grassy area bordered by trees and benches. There are also two fenced playground areas for younger children and older children alike. A paved walking path runs between these two areas and allows for easy access to both sides of the park as well as access to other trails within town limits. The playground area is also wheelchair accessible with open spaces available for those who wish to bring their own chairs or strollers with them while visiting the park.
