I have never been more angry at a woman, person or company as I am at Paula Vennels and The Post Office.
The amount of people who will never get justice from the lies and sentences pushed by the Post Office.
This happened during my lifetime, my 10th birthday being a date directly referenced in the series. And I had no clue this travesty of justice was happening.
Great acting by all in this series omg - so so good.
Toby Jones was incredible. All the actors were. The friendship between Alan and Jo was so well done.
Oh, and the events depicted are still ongoing - Justice for the SubPostmasters.

Broadchurch (2013–2017) S3E4
Trish relives the night of the party, including her row with Ian and chat with the kitchen staff whilst the police discover that convicted rapist Aaron Mayford now lives in the area. Ellie and Hardy visit him but, whilst he is defensive, he is persuasive as to an alibi. They also learn from Beth that Trish found a bouquet on her doorstep the previous night with a message of hope and from Cath that her marriage to Jim is on the rocks, leading to the identification of Trish's anonymous sex partner and that of the sender of the email. Then Laura, another rape victim, comes forward whilst Mark tries to involve Paul in his quest to track down Joe Miller.

Mr Bates vs the Post Office — the power of television
Mr Bates vs the Post Office — the power of television
ITV has singled out it’s success with Mr Bates vs the Post Office (as mention in the holiday figures recently) and why not — if you’re in the UK, the 25-year-old Post Office IT scandal has been a big topic of news. More importantly, this show has catalysed the government’s lack of pace on this issue and much has happened since New Year. It seems mundane to look at the viewing figures, but here we…

Happy Birthday Scottish actress Annie Wallace.
Annie was brought up in Aberdeen and is a former National Youth Theatre member, she graduated from the Manchester Metropolitan School of Theatre in 2004, and has also appeared in many theatre productions. As well as being an actress, Annie writes and records music, and has two albums already released. She is also a skilled sound recordist and designer.
Annie was the consultant for the character of Coronation Street’s Hayley Cropper from 1998-2000, developing a friendship with the writers and the actress Julie Hesmondhalgh. This led to her applying to drama school and eventually becoming a professional actress in her own right appearing on stage in Manchester in productions  including Withnail and I and Wyrd Sisters.
On the 29th of October 2015, she became made history by becoming the first transgender person to play a regular transgender character in a UK soap opera when she debuted as school head teacher Sally St. Claire in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks.
Annie is one of several Scots over the years who are or have been regulars on the Channel Four soap set in Chester
Wallace has been nominated  for and on many awards over the years, most notable, The National Diversity Awards 2016 she was  Celebrity of the Year, the  Proud Scotland Awards she was awarded a gong for  Outstanding Trans Activism. Annie was also the first transgender star nominated for a Scottish Bafta.
Away from Hollyoaks, Annie has appeared on Celebrity Mastermind, where she specialist subject was Doctor Who from 1970 to 1980.
Annie revealed she was trans during a Manchester Pride panel in 2015 which discussed the writing of LGBTQ+ characters on television.
Speaking to Lorraine earlier last year, the soap star said: "I turned 50 in May 2015 and I went, you know what, I am at this stage where I really don't care what people think of me anymore. I just thought this is the time to come out.”
Since then she hasn’t looked back, well done Annie.

I’m reading The Writer’s Tale again and figured if anyone would want to hypothesize, you might: any guesses as to who RTD was considering for Penny before Donna became the companion instead? He mentions a Northerner, and the way he talks I suspect I’ve was thinking of an actress he already knew and had worked with—who could it have been? ???
I've thought about this a lot over the years but have never been able to put a pin on anyone. Whenever I read that bit where he bumps into her in the street and thinks about how she has no idea Penny ever existed, I picture Sheridan Smith 😅 I think it's someone from the industry he was familiar with but not someone he had worked with at that point in 2007. He may have since. Would have thought maybe Julie Hesmondhalgh, who ended up in Cucumber, but she was tied up with Corrie for years.
