I'm just gonna assume you're asking only about Genshin ships. I'm a multi-shipper so there will be repeats.

Warning: very VERY long read. I got a bit more extensive than I thought I would.

Ships that have a chokehold on me:

Keqing x Heizou: would hate each other at first, but with enough time and maybe one night of forced deep conversation realize that they have a lot in common? Both are very dedicated to their work, almost to a fault, but have very different working styles

Barbara x Bennett : I'm a sucker for character A chastising character B for getting hurt while they patch them up

Amber x Razor: hc Amber to be 18-20 and Razor to be 17-18 in case anyone's alarmed. It's the bunny x wolf and "outgoing girl helps awkward and closed off boy get out of his comfort zone" for me

Jean x Diluc: fully convinced they're exes and Diluc still has feelings for Jean at least. You can't tell me that one of the reasons he went to the summer islands wasn't to see Jean in her summer fit

Kazuha x Xiangling: mostly QPR, Xiangling canonically sails with the Crux Fleet sometimes so I'm pretty sure they have an established friendship of sorts already

Ayaka x Thoma: am a sucker for royalty x servant type dynamics, they'd be really sweet together, and I totally bought the pre-Inazuma rumors that they were gonna be fiances...

Xiangling x Xiao: all it took was one(1) fic which is now lost forever :( but either way I'm sold now

Mona x Scaramouche/Wanderer: look aesthetically pleasing together, plus I like the bickering between the two of them in the fics I read

Gorou x Kokomi: my loves my babies my everything the apple of my eye the peanut to my butter the fried to my rice to yee to my haw the dog leans over to kiss the fishy in the pond memes the- (has been shipping them since 2.0 livestream and refuses to let go)

Ships I can enjoy:

Bennett x Fischl: mainly for the ship name puns, but also I like their friendship a lot it's very cute

Ayaka x Kazuha: angst edition in which they try to maintain a long distance but after a while Ayaka can't take it anymore and breaks it off. Other than that I think they look really pretty together and they think really highly of each other

Beidou x Ningguang: Lantern Rite 2021 sold me on this ship. Like sure you guys, you just play chess and nothing more. Sure sure sure-

Xinyan x Yun Jin: Lantern Rite 2021 also sold me on it

Katheryne x Wanderer: @probably-impossible has me hook line and sinker it's such a silly ship but also makes so much sense for some reason?? Content for it has died down but I look back on that time fondly

Dehya x Dunyuzard: look me dead in the eye and tell me they aren't dating. You can't

Cyno x Nilou: the fanarts get me every time in a way I can't explain I feel so much feeling whenever I see them that it borders on having a chokehold on me. It's only here because I only feel the feelings when I remember they exist which isn't very often

Albedo x Sucrose: Windblume had me feeling a certain way let's just put it that way

Amber x Eula: similar-ish dynamic to Amber x Razor and admittedly they have more canon content than the aforementioned ship ever will (cri)

Itto x Sara: childhood friends to petty bickering enemies to lovers. Need I say more.

Chongyun x Xiangling: used to ship them in early game because of that one character story where Chongyun accidentally eats a chilli at Wanmin and then apologises to her profusely

Hu Tao x Xiao: grumpy x sunshine-ish that's it that's the tweet

Kaeya x Rosaria: bi4bi drinking buddies (romantic)

Kaeya x Kokomi: aethetically pleasing and amazing fanarts I must say

Cyno x Layla: an online friend sold me on this and I think it's just neat

Wanderer x Traveler: the love-hate potential is there and I can appreciate it. It's an acquired taste personally, but now I kinda dig it.

Bennett x Chongyun: both constantly get less-than-desired results in their respective lines of work

Ships I can see happening I guess:

Cyno x Tighnari: I like imagining them as a divorced couple co-parenting Collei lmao

Alhaitham x Kaveh: it's fine I guess?? I just see so much fan art that frankly it's become oversaturated for me

Dainsleif x Kaeya: I don't care much for Dain but I like royalty x knight so there you go

Venti x Xiao: this would go under "ships I can enjoy" but now I have beef with it. No it doesn't have anything to do with the fandom or the shippers /gen but I'd rather not get into it

Hu Tao x Yanfei: y'all YanTao nation people make good fanart ngl

Ei x Miko: they're wives. Not a big fan of them, but they're wives

Childe x Traveler: used to ship it but not so much anymore for some reason

Xiao x Traveler: except it's one-sided 'cause I'm a bit evil like that

After lunch, while the rest of the camp is lounging in front of oscillating fans indoors to escape the heat, the senior staff piles into the poorly ventilated living room of Varka’s house. It’s midsummer, and that means staff evaluations.

“Any final thoughts for Bennett?” Jean calls out, to generally positive mumblings. Above them, the ceiling fan creaks laboriously, stirring the hot air into a weak gasp against the sweat on Diluc’s brow.

Jean gets the only decent seat in the room, a moth-eaten armchair, while everyone else crams in around the coffee table and tries not to sweat on one another too much. Diluc could probably snag the chair, he’s the one taking notes after all, but he’s not a monster. Instead he’s shoved into the corner of the sagging loveseat while Keqing tries and fails not to slump into his side, the deflated cushions doing their best to deposit her in his lap. On her other side Ganyu is sitting half on the arm, half on the cushion while she works on a friendship bracelet safety-pinned to her shorts. Aether and Lumine are on the floor with their head counsellor binders open in their laps, Gorou’s perched on one of the rickety kitchen chairs braiding Kokomi’s hair, badly, who’s more occupied with her outtrip planning than the topic of their actual meeting.

“Since he nearly burned down the teepee he’s been on his best behaviour,” Tighnari remarks, not looking up from the materials he’s spread on the floor in front of him; dried leaves and flowers he’s arranging on card stock. Cyno’s leaned up against his shoulder, watching his hands with the kind of luminous attention that makes it impossible to look directly at them. They’ve truly ascended to a new tier of PDA, where even the most innocent of contact looks embarrassingly intimate.

“I saw him with Timmy this morning,” Diluc says. “He seemed really good with him.”

“Oh and Timmy is a total nightmare,” Aether groans, his sister nodding vehemently in agreement. “I’ve never seen such a homesick, wet blanket of a camper. Bennett is working overtime with that kid.”

“Maybe we should rotate him off cabins next session, if it’s that bad,” Jean suggests.

“Yeah, just gotta make sure he doesn’t think it’s a punishment,” Lumine says, wryly.

“What if we—” Keqing begins to say, but is dramatically interrupted by the door slamming open. To be fair, the door is barely hanging on to its hinges so this happens every other time it’s opened, but when Diluc sees who’s in the doorway he can’t help a quiet groan.

Kaeya strolls in with an armload of candy, his stupid over-large aviators precariously balanced on the tip of his nose. “Stopped by the tuck shop,” he announces, unnecessarily, then dumps his spoils on the coffee table. Everyone dives for the candy—hardened gummy worms, dried fruits, knockoff sourpatch kids shaped like broccoli—as if they don’t gorge themselves on it everyday.

Kaeya’s changed since sailing into no-less scandalous jorts and a staff shirt from two summers ago that’s slightly too tight now that he’s apparently a gym rat. The sleeves cut into the flex of his biceps and Diluc looks back to his screen.

“Any other notes for Bennett?” He prompts, tired.

“What’ve you got?” Aether asks around a mouthful of banana chips. Diluc reads out his notes; attentive to campers’ needs, must build confidence in himself, continue to avoid eco activities, great involvement in programming.

“Sounds good to me,” Lumine says, serenely checking Bennett off the list in front of her and moving on to the next name. “What about Razor?”

There’s a momentary pause that feels excruciatingly long. Everyone chews or fans themselves, clearly trying to think of something productive to say.

“He’s a fucking mad lad,” Kaeya says eventually, which is so completely unhelpful Diluc doesn’t even pretend to write it down, just shoots him a dark look. Kaeya leans his hip against the kitchen table, apparently indifferent to its pained shriek and any concept of modesty as he folds his arms across his chest, muscles flexing. He grins like he thinks he just said something funny, which is one of his most insufferable grins by far.

“I caught him eating raw sumac leaves during Survival,” Tighnari says, thoughtfully.

“I’ve had to ask him to stop wrestling with his campers twice,” Aether says, half a sigh.

“Oh, yeah, and he has punch-Jordan in his cabin,” Kaeya says, pointing knowingly at Aether who mimes hanging himself with his braided hair.

“That kid sucks,” Lumine chimes in supportively.

“I heard Razor say he turns his underwear inside out so he can go longer between washes,” Kokomi says, absently, not looking up from the provincial park map spread out before her. Diluc resists the urge to put his head in his hands.

“What! Doesn’t he take his laundry in on his days off?” Jean demands, predictably distraught by this information.

“I’m pretty sure he does,” Aether says, his voice tipping up into a question.

“Did you see his awesome costume for the leadership camp-wide, though?” Gorou interjects, clearly scrambling for something positive to say. But at the same time Ganyu tentatively replies to Aether; “Or is he still just jumping into the lake fully dressed?”

“Doesn’t he shower?” Jean exclaims, and everyone piles on from there. Diluc gives up and closes his laptop. Kaeya catches his eye and grins.

Twenty minutes later, when the bell rings for afternoon activities, the only thing Diluc has written down for Razor’s eval is: Energetic.

The beloved Kaeya for the ask game

the beloved kaeya indeed 🥺👏 tyty anon!!!!

How I feel about this character:

rose asked me once why tf i put kaeya in my 3rd slot when i use him as a dps/sub dps (for her, those are 1st/2nd slots), and i was like 'uh idk' only to realize that he's there because when i got him, he was automatically put into the 3rd slot. and literally i haven't taken him out of my overworld party since then. i feel like that says basically everything u need to know lmao

but! i will wax poetic anyway. i think his design is dumb and sexy and obnoxious and i love it, it suits his personality perfectly and makes him look sus as hell with the eyepatch that he wears supposedly just 'because'. everything abt his personality is WONDERFUL and so much fun, i absolutely love writing his perspective cause it's so interesting. he's so deeply intertwined with the lore by virtue of being khaenri'ahn, which adds like twelve more layers to the iceberg that is kaeya, plus his whole actual backstory itself? and you never know if he's lying or flattering or being earnest, it just adds so much depth to his personality

from a gameplay perspective, he's not exceptionally interesting, but he is absolutely reliable, and i've been using him in a freeze comp with childe since i got childe lmao. i also actually adore his lil teleport, though he has the same issue with his E that diluc does with his Q, which is that sometimes the targeting is Bad lmao

overall, i adore this man deeply

All the people I ship romantically with this character:

diluc (duh) and childe, in that order. often diluc and childe at the same time lmao. albedo! i do like a good kaebedo every now and then. i'd ship him with zhongli but from a writing perspective i tend not to have much to go on.

My non-romantic OTP for this character:

rosaria is the big one, within mond. i also love a good benny/kaeya mentorship type role. i think he could take a similar one with chongyun? i think kaeya and kazoo would be two sides of the same mischievous coin, too. when i'm shipping kaeluc exclusively, i love a good chaeya friendship lmao. oh! i think beidou and kaeya could be great drinking/pirate buddies, and i'd love to see him talk strategy with kokomi

My unpopular opinion about this character:

i mean off the bat, kaeluc lmao. beyond that, i'm not sure i have any unpopular opinions? i think i can get behind most hcs of him that i've seen, and i don't think i have many thoughts that other ppl would disagree with about him lmao

oh, maybe this - i really don't agree with the idea of him being like...canonically cold/heartless? i think a lot of ppl reference the 'that's...interesting' line when crepus dies or the fact that he endangers his men in combat, but i think it's more complicated than that? i talked about it somewhere at some point, but i really like the idea that, because he has spent his whole life being forced to make impossible decisions, he wants others around him to feel the same way. wants to test their loyalty, perhaps. i also am not certain that his 'interesting' comment was some offhand, cold comment about crepus' death, but rather a reference to the use of his delusion or even diluc's actions

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

more interactions with diluc, not even in a kaeluc capacity just...i want their reconciliation in canon. i want them both to admit that they're stuck in the past with regards to each other - kaeya believes that diluc detests him when diluc really is still struggling to reconcile the fact that he doesn't feel like he can trust kaeya with the fact that he still cares about him. diluc believes that kaeya's forgotten all about their past and either never cared about diluc to begin with or no longer cares. they're both idiots and i want to see them figure that out

also just generally more kaeya backstory? even a kaeya hangout 😭😭

my OTP:

kaeluckae. i swear for every fic i write of another pairing, i write three or four kaeluc fics lmao. i can't help it, their story just has so many layers in canon, let alone how much more you can put into it with fic. the brainrot is real

my cross over ship:

once again, not really something i can speak to much...that said, i'd love to see how kaeya and hawks interact, or how kaeya and dabi interact lmaoooo

a headcanon fact:

i still wouldn't be shocked if kaeya wasn't ever actually intended to be a khaenri'ahn spy, if he misinterpreted the 'you're our last hope' line that his father gave him. i'm also still on board with the 'dain is kaeya's father' or 'kaeya is the last prince of khaenri'ah' theories. lots of fun with kaeya, i really love his character 🥺🥺

wanted to do this for a while now, it was really fun, and now I kinda want to elaborate on some of these choices because I feel bad for leaving some of my favs out lol

favorite 4-star: well definitely Kaeya all the way! but if kaeya is an 11 for me there are 10s, both rosaria and yanfei are also excellent and I love them so much! rosaria Is just a very reliable unit (very effective for freeze AND melt + the crit rate sharing + the assassin's skill ) and a really moving story and personality, like life literally spit in this women face and kicked her in the stomach and her response? "I will make sure no one ever lives the same fate as me even if I had to kill for it", HOW BIG OF A HEART DOES THIS WOMEN HAVE?? *cry*. Yanfei is my newest favorite since she took a long time to come home and I'm building a friendship with her naturally since I don't want to spoil it and read/ hear everything for the wiki, but she is definitely a fav!

honorary 4-star : Ningguang! she should ascend to be an archon or something because I swear she is so powerful, so graceful, so smart she is everything! the more lore reveals on ninnguang the more I feel like I'm running out of vocabulary to describe her, she just -vague hand gestures- YK!???. her hangout event is just something, i will never forget the moment she shared with us how she felt grief after losing the jade chamber the first time, it humanized her in a different way, made you see all the real hard work she put, and the price she pays, yes she is very powerful and capable but it's not effortless or easy, even when she was griefing her 'friend' she still had to wake up the day after and pull through, and it just touched me in a way, also her VA (Erin Ebers) is just *chef kiss*. bonce is also what we know from Yelan stories! not a big spoiler but all the more for you to know she didn't build her power on nothing she know she need others, and she know how to pick. the only reason she is an honorary mention (it breaks my heart its that way) is that I can't get behind her mechanics

favorite 5-star: well obviously Jean lol -some people even think I main her lol but I don't I main kaeya- but since i cry about my love for Jean pretty regularly in this blog, i will jump to my next -right below jean- other favorite 5 stars, and that is Lumine! i know she is supposed to be self incest but i don't see it that way? to me she is a character too, and I really wanted xiao just for her, so they can be together, I love her determination to find her brother and sassy attitude lol also her voice lines are mostly cute and fun, and yes I meant Lumine and not Aether, not that I hate Aether or anything they just seem like different characters to me and I like lumine more

honorary 5-stars: kokomi ..... i don't want to elaborate on this one *jugs the whole glass up*
