It's been two months and five days since I've started Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Today, I finished the very last episode. (I know I'm making this more dramatic than it is, but idc)
So, it's been a lot. So many good, great things, but also a lot of weird, disturbing things. Characters I loved all the way through (Hunter, Piper, Davis, Sousa, every Koenig (I think)); Characters I almost loved all the way through, except for a few episodes where they made some choices I didn't agree with or so (Fitz, Simmons, Bobbi, Coulson, Daisy, May, Deke, Enoch); Characters about whom I wouldn't say I loved them but I still liked them very much (Mack, YoYo, Trip, Mace, Flint); Characters who weren't exactly the good guys but still were somewhat likable to some extent (Ward, Radcliffe, Cal, Gordon, Jiaying, Sunil Bakshi, Robbie, Kora), and of course Characters who were written to be hated (The Malicks, Garrett, Whitehall, Lucy Bauer, Ellen Nadeer, Ivanov, Kassius, the Hales, Izel, Sybil) and everyone who I don't know in which category to put, or what to name their category.
I am so glad, that the phase in season five where I couldn't stand Daisy, was over as soon as season six started. I was surprised by how MUCH I loved her in season seven.
Season six was definitely my least favorite (and of what I've read I'm not the only one with that opinion). But I can't say it enough, how much I loved the parts in space of Piper, Davis, Daisy, and Jemma (and later only Daisy and Jemma) searching for Fitz and Enoch. I can't think of one single moment right now from that space part, that I didn't like. But I really hated Izel and this whole shrike thing, and Sarge and his team, so I was really glad when season seven started.
Because season seven started off just absolutely great! I already said that I loved their clothes. Sending Jemma in as Peggy Carter in the 50s was perfection. Daisy saying she already has a sister to save, her name is Jemma Simmons. May falling through the ceiling, punching Sybil and saying "The Cavalry". Fitzsimmons naming their daughter after a star. Piper's wish from Jemma being getting Davis back. The team meeting up (at least) once a year to catch up and not losing each other. All of that is perfection.
There is so much more I want to write about, but first, I can't put everything into words (right now), and second, this post would be way too long.
I am so glad that I started Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and I'm even more glad that I continued watching even though the first five episodes or so didn't convince me at all, and at first I only stayed because of the characters.
I am thankful for everyone involved, but especially those who decided that these wonderful actors would get the role they got, because honestly? I couldn't have asked for a cast that was more fitting.
I will start re-watch soon (at least in parts), because friends of mine started watching, but I have yet to convince them that it gets better than it currently is (they are in episode four).

It's a Bad Idea, right? (3)
Summary: The worst idea a waitress in MamaStefka can have is to fall in love with a man in Hydra. They aren’t supposed to even talk! It doesn’t stop Betty, though. Pairing: Steve Rogers x OC! Betty Warnings: Mafia AU. Secret identity au. Tension.

"I'll swing back to pick you up, alright?" Piet wiped his hands on a towel, looking at her. "Don't leave. We're just going to grab some groceries, drop off Wanda, and then I'll be back for you."
Betty tried not to shake her head. It was her turn closing the restaurant and anytime that happened to either her or Wanda, Piet stayed behind so they would walk home together and she didn’t close everything on her own – it was a thing the chefs did too, no girl was ever left closing on her own.
"Just head off, Piet," she urged. "The quicker you go, the sooner you'll be back."
That seemed to do the trick, and she locked the door behind him before entering. She double-checked the money – the girls had already taken their tips, so she needed to be sure the numbers were right – before putting it in the secret safe, hiding it before getting back to the tables.
Wanda had already refilled and stored the condiments, and Betty confirmed that Mila had cleared the tables. Those tasks were sorted. She glanced into the remaining restrooms, secured the windows, stowed the tableware, emptied the waste bins, and powered down any idle equipment.  She ensured the fridges were still running – and made sure no one had made the stupid mistake of turning off the fridges – before locking up the windows.
All she had was to do now was take out the trash and wait for Piet, and she could set up the alarms.
Betty left the backdoor open when she came back inside for the second bag, and if she hadn’t seen a strange shadow, she wouldn’t even know something had happened.
“Pietro?” she called, walking backwards to the counter, and pulled the bat they kept there, adjusting the safety sock on it.
Whoever it was didn’t answer, and she swung it up, ready to use to protect herself.
Who was dumb enough enough to invade Mama Stefka? It was the meeting place of the Mafia!
“I don’t know who you are, but you are probably not from this side of town,” she announced into the emptiness. “I would leave if I were you.”
The answer came not with words, but with a big man walking closer to her with his hands up.
She was frozen in place for a moment.
The German guy.
“Hi,” he spoke slowly. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you. Some friends said this was a good place to lay low for a minute or two.”
She looked at him and then at the door, still wide open, and he stopped away from her, a bit far. If she wanted to run, she could get out and he wouldn’t catch her.
"What's your deal?" she asked, chin jerking toward him. "Why do you need to lay low?"
He grimaced a little.
"I got caught up in a little situation out there," he gestured behind him. "A misunderstanding. You know how it is with the cops."
She looked at him from head to toe.
“Do I, really?” Betty asked.
He hesitated a bit.
"Malick mentioned you might have a first aid kit around. I'm Steffan. Bauer. Your friends know me as Captain."
She held her ground, still cautious.
"They're quite protective of you, the Malicks. And they've been in this business longer than I have. I wouldn't dare jeopardize their trust, miss. I assure you."
That, at last, made her relax, and Betty lowered the bat slowly.
Yeah, that bit was way more believable than him having a good heart.
"Someone else is supposed to meet me here," she warned him. "And he's just about as big as you."
He wasn’t. Piet was strong, sure, but he was absolutely not as strong as that dude.
“No problem,” Steffan nodded.
Betty lowered the bat, although still holding it.
“You said you need the first aid kit?” she asked, still wary.
He nodded.
“Just a little scratch, miss,” Steffan assured her. “Could use some cleaning.”
She scoffed a little. Fine.
“I’ll go get it.”
The bat was firmly in her hand as she walked to the kitchen – it wasn’t like there was anything valuable at his reach, the very door to where the safe was hidden went through the kitchen. And they had big chef knives there too, she wouldn’t go down with a fight, whatever his goal was.
But when she came back, Steffan was on the same place as before, sat on his chair and without his jacket.
And he was jacked. Really big and strong. A real powerhouse.
She could see the blood sipping through his shirt on his – big, big – shoulder when she approached him, and held the box close as he pushed the fabric aside and over his shoulder.
Bullet scratch. It wasn’t too bad, but it certainly bled quite a bit.
“No need to dig out a bullet in this one,” he joked, giving her a charming smile. “Thank you for taking it.”
But she just walked behind him, putting her bat on a table near and setting the kit behind his arm.
“I’ll do it,” Betty interrupted him. “Just don’t do anything funny.”
Steffan tucked his head down, chuckling.
"Sure thing, ma'am," he agreed, his hands resting on his thighs.
He had big thighs, very meaty.
That dude was really well fed and a big fan of gyms.
She kept her mouth shut as she opened the box, and put on the gloves before touching anything else, and put antiseptic on it with the cotton pads, and he hissed in response, but didn’t say anything or even flinch.
She covered it up with what they had there, some gauze and medical tape, and took off the gloves, grabbing her bat to go throw them into the trash bag.
“There,” she looked at him, keeping her distance. “You’re good to go.”
Steffan readjusted his shirt, pulling it back into place over his shoulder.
“The Malicks called you Betty,” he observed. “Is that your name?”
She shook her head, still wary.
“It’s for the Americans,” she told him. “They butch up my name too much.”
He raised an intrigued eyebrow.
"Put me to the test," he suggested.
Betty pondered for a moment.
It wasn’t as if he couldn’t figure it out on his own if he asked the right person.
“Elżbieta,” she told him.
"Elżbieta," he repeated confidently.
Nailed it.
"It's a lovely name," Steffan remarked, his gaze fixed on her face.
How was he this hot?
“Thank you,” she mumbled, shifting her eyes away.
He stood up, at last, getting his jacket from behind the chair.
"I should be on my way, Betty," he smoothly informed her, his tone a bit too smooth for someone who had invaded her closed workplace. "It was a pleasure meeting you. And once again, I apologise for the fright. Rest assured, it won't happen again."
With that, he walked through the open door, leaving without any physical contact. Betty stood there, feeling frozen in place for what seemed like an eternity, until Pietro entered through the same door about five minutes later.
"Hey," her roommate greeted her. "Finished up?"
She shook herself out of her stunned space.
God, that was weird.
"Yeah," she confirmed, her voice steady. "Just need to set the alarm."

‘The Owl House’: It’s a Hoot!
You would never think that the dark art of 15th century Dutch artist Hieronymus Bosch would serve as the inspiration for a children’s cartoon. Well, thanks to Dana Terrace and her wild imagination, the strange creatures conjured by the European painter have found their way in the new Disney Channel series The Owl House. The show, which debuts in January, and is already in production of its second season, follows the adventures of a young teenage girl named Luz who decides to pursue her dreams of becoming a witch after she stumbles into a strange realm, inhabited by feisty witch Eda and her tiny warrior friend King.
Terrace, a former director on DuckTales and storyboard artist on Gravity Falls, recalls starting to collect her notes and images and putting together her pitch for the story back in 2015. Then, she finally began pitching her story about a young girl who becomes a witch’s apprentice only a few months after she started directing DuckTales.
“Many of the characters have barely changed since then,” recalls Terrace. “I knew I wanted an older witch mentor figure and a young optimistic girl who was the main character, who learns and grows throughout the show. There’s also this trickster little jerk character named King (voiced by Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch).”
The setting for The Owl House changed a little bit since its early days. Terrace says for a brief time, she was toying with the idea of the whole show being set after the young character dies, so that the Owl House is all set in the afterlife. What really had a clear impact on her work is the work of artists such as Bosch, John Bauer, Remedios Varos and the puppetry of Jim Henson.
Real-Life Models
In addition to the crazy creatures of Bosch and religious illuminated manuscripts, Terrace found inspiration in some of the familiar elements in her life as well. “I have always wanted to tell a story about a rough-around-the-edges mother figure, based off of my aunt, nana and mother who raised me,” she recalls.
Terrace says the show’s central character Luz evolved from late-night conversations she used to have with her former roommate roommate and close college friend. “We were both dorks together,” she recalls. “We tried to cut our own hair and it never worked out. We didn’t have many friends. So, in a way, Luz bubbled out of our conversations. When I told her that I was going to base the main character on her, she said, ‘Yes , but you’ll have to make her Dominican.’ So that’s what happened. Luz now also works on the show as a storyboard artist and consultant, and I get to work with my best friend every day.”
As a young girl, Terrace used sneak into the living room to watch cartoons and copy what she liked in her flip books. Her love for shows such as The Simpsons, Pokémon, The PowerPuff Girls and Studio Ghibli movies finally lead her to study animation at School of Visual Arts in New York and make her way out to L.A. to pursue a career in the animation business. Her first big break happened when someone discovered her art blog and sent her a storyboarding test, which led to her landing a job at Gravity Falls and opened other doors as well.
During her big pitch to Disney, Terrace says she was a bit worried to mention Bosch and his odd, evil creatures, but to her surprise, one of the executive’s response was, “Heck, yeah!” “They have been nothing more than enthusiastic and helpful from day one,” she notes.
After spending a good year writing and making the pilot, Terrace began building her production team in 2018. Art director Ricky Cometa and supervising producer Stephen Sandoval also joined the Disney TV Animation production. At capacity, the show has about 50 staffers as part of its pre-production crew, and an overall count of 120 including the overseas teams at Sunwoo, Rough Draft and Sugarcube in Korea. We’ve been very fortunate to work with all of them,” says Terrace. “They’ve made the show really, really spark.”
The Owl House has attracted a top-notch list of vocal talent as well, including Wendie Malick as Eda, Hirsch as King and Sarah-Nicole Robles as Luz. Among the guest star lineup for the show’s first season are Matthew Rhys, Isabella Rossellini, Tati Gabrielle, Issac Ryan Brown, Mae Whitman, Bumper Robinson and Parvesh Cheena. Terrace points out that having a sterling class led by Malick has been a real treat. “Our witch could have been a very hard character to cast, because we wanted to have sass and energy, and Wendie was absolutely perfect. She came in with all her talent and experience, and my first instinct was ‘You don’t need any direction. Do whatever you want to do because you are amazing!”
She also mentions that she knew Alex Hirsch was going to end up playing the little sidekick King. “I used to hear him pitch when I worked on Gravity Falls. I knew that he can bring a lot to the characters he plays. He would also give me some helpful advice about running his own show and working at Disney.”
Art director Ricky Cometa (Steven Universe, Costume Quest) says he was swept away by Terrace’s wild ideas and spectacular imagery, things that were not usually seen in children’s animation. “The second she came in and said, ‘I want you to read this show bible. The first thing that caught my eye was ‘Bosch and the demon world?’ I very much needed help to figure out what this world looks like. We had this blank canvas and there was a lot of religious iconography. I knew we were going to push the boundaries. I mean we are doing the demon realm on the Disney Channel? You bet I’m in!”
Cometa points out that it was clear that they needed to balance the darker aspects of the witch’s world with the more light-hearted and fun components of Luz’s comical adventures. “At first, I wasn’t sure how dark we could have made the world this world that Luz jumps into initially. We had to make clear decisions about when the story needed to be scary— when do we highlight the darker moments versus when the story is lighthearted and welcoming. It was all about finding that right balance of warmth and spookiness.”
Terrace agrees. “If we made everything super scary and spooky — which is something I’m not afraid of, scaring my audience — but if we made everything the same color, then the scary parts and the day-to-day light-hearted parts wouldn’t have popped. We needed that contrast for writing purposes.”
Amazingly enough, Terrace is only the fourth woman to solely create and run an animated series for Disney — following in the footsteps of Sue Rose (Pepper Ann), Chris Nee (Doc McStuffins) and Daron Nefcy (Star vs. The Forces of Evil). She says one of her biggest challenges on the show was going through the learning process to run a writer’s room, which includes four other writers and a writer’s assistant. “Before this show I had always written and drawn my own comics and cartoons, but this was the first time I had written scripts professionally. Learning the process of writing scripts and learning to run a writers’ room was probably the biggest challenge for me. Luckily, I was with a team of talented writers, and we all kind of learned together. Most of that team has carried on to the second season, and we’re very excited to keep writing together.
As the show begins its run on Disney Channel, Terrace says that ultimately she hopes audiences will be entertained by Luz’s world and her off-the-wall adventures. “There are so many different kinds of animated shows out there and so many traditional and streaming services, that I don’t think it’s possible to have a gigantic blowout hit anymore. At the end of the day, no matter how much stuff is out there, stories with interesting core characters and relatable, understandable stories will shine through.”

Agents of SHIELD Villain Showdown
Ok, so I wanted to make a poll to determine the best AoS villain, but there's so many I couldn't just choose 10, so I decided to make a showdown.
I will be posting a series of polls where you can choose between 2 villains. The first round of brackets will be posted tomorrow under the #aos villain showdown tag.
Rules:
It's pretty simple, just vote one of the two villains in each poll.
It doesn't matter how you choose the villain, it can be your favourite, the one you think has the most relevance, the one you think is a bigger threat...
Candidates:
There's A LOT of villains in this show, so I made a bunch of brackets, which you can find here. The villains in each bracket were chosen from this website. I made a list (under the cut) and then randomized the order. I picked the ones I thought to be more relevant, but if you have any suggestions, please let me know and I will add them!
This is the list of villains I chose, ordered by season to make things easier. Let me know if I've missed any!
Season 1
Grant Ward.
John Garrett.
Raina.
Ian Quinn.
Dr Franklin Hall.
Jasper Sitwell.
Lorelei.
Season 2
Cal Johnson.
Jiaying.
Gordon.
Carl Creel (Absorbing Man).
Kara Palamas (Agent 33).
Daniel Whitehall.
Sunil Bakshi.
Werner von Strucker.
Season 3
Hive.
Lash.
Gideon Malick.
Season 4
AIDA/Madame Hydra.
Holden Radcliffe.
The Watchdogs.

The Owl House Panel At NYCC 2019
The show debuts January 2020 on Disney Channel
Luz: loves taxidermy she ends up in the demon realm and decides to stay and be a witch
Eda a rebellious witch she loves to sell human collectibles she is based on Dana Terrace's Mom & Aunt!
Fiesty & annoying who wants to be big that's King
The Artistic inspiration for the show was based on Bauer,Vor & Bosch
Luz is latina Robins loved the fact that there was a Latina character - and she hadn’t had a chance to do that before.
Alex Hirsch says :"King is basically just me but pitched up ,it’s basically for us to do what we’re best at"
Wendi says  nonconformity is what makes them endearing,
Wendi says  Eda’s “coping mechanism is to be a little bit of a smart ass.”
I feel like people have a lot of different voices inside them - and Dana Terrace gives us amazing direction so we get to serve the vision ----- Alex Hirsch
Robins says that “Luz just can’t fit in and I was a lot like that. My mom would always say that people will understand my humor later.”
Dana Terrace says  Eda’s sassier now, takes more guff than she would have before Wendie Malick came along
Dana says I’m a fan of a lot of things so like Luz. I’m a hard-ass who believes in tough love like Eda. I’m a fuzzy little weirdo like King, who’s the one I probably identify with most.
Alex Hirsch Says:  I feel like King and I would team up , like I’d put him in a baby carriage and he’d go off and steal something and we’d be a team of grifters
They were a little concerned when they found out the entire show takes place on the bones of a dead body. I said it’s cool, it’s a fantasy world, it’s not a human body ----- Dana Terrace says on Standars and Practices
Fans so incredible so far, episodes for show without it being aired yet. We do think about whether things would make cool cosplays. We absolutely take fan reaction into account - and plan to hide things ---- Dana Terrace
Robins  probably wouldn’t be friends with Luz at first because she’s annoying but yes, because she’s loyal.
Dana Terrace on working for Disney: “It’s bananas to be running a show on Disney. I saw how well Alex Hirsch ran his show and how he ran his crew. I wanted to be like that. So what are you waiting join the mouse family!
I did voices for GF, it’s cool to be part of somebody else’s vision and this is all from Dana Terrace ’s heart. It’s a little weird as a control freak but this team is so capabale, it’s a pleasure” ---- Alex Hirsch on being back at Disney as VA and not a creator
Luz is based in Dana Terrace's real life roommate Luz "Luz is a witch, she dreads our tarots, so I thought it would be cool for that to be the whole world."
Create a Twitter with contact information just dedicated to the art and separate from personal. Studios are out on social media looking for you - it’s taken over the traditional agent relationship -- Dana Terrace advice in how to get a job in animation
King sleeps a lot and Bill Cipher invades dreams. Bill would trick King really quickly but King’s vengeance would be long term -- Alex Hirsch on how Bill & King's first meeting will be
Owls have a reputation for being wise, but owls are actually dumb. They’re STUPID. And I thought that was the funniest thing in the world. They look so smart and soulful. But they’re just dumb as hell. I thought that was great --- Dana Terrace on why an Owl?
Stories are compelling when there’s high stakes. They’re compelling when there are villains and there’s peril. Sometimes parents worry about the peril But kids LOVE peril. It’s cool that Disney is allowing part of its brand to bring this into it ----- Alex Hirsch
If you don’t fit in, you will fit in somewhere. And those people are out there just waiting to be found---- Dana Terrace in how can you fit in
For the show as a whole, it’s about some dreams may be impossible, but you can find a way around. Luz can’t ever be a witch, but she can find a way to something similar ------ Dana Terrace
Luz is completely cut off from the real world. Any part of her culture that she brings is directly tied to her mother and how her mother influences Luz’s life -------------- Dana Terrace
“For people to be invested, you need a core group of characters that people love, that are endearing but also annoy one another ------- Dana Terrace in What have you learned from other shows that you’re going to incorporate?
Dana Terrace says i learned from DuckTales and Gravity Falls, from Alex Hirsch and others, that you have to be good to your crews. And I wanted to do that.”
Not revealed at the panel BUT The Owl House will also stream at Disney+ sometime next year!
