As a child, I was a staunch anti-smoker. But, as I grew older, I increasingly began to look at the smoking men around me. Deep down I knew that someday I would become like them. But I was afraid to deviate from the principles imposed on me and did not dare to light my first cigarette.
Everything happened by chance. Once at a party, my friends bet with me that I couldn't smoke a cigarette. The excitement got the best of me, and my friend Max began to teach me how to smoke properly. I won't forget this feeling! As soon as I took my first puff, my lungs filled with smoke, a slight trembling enveloped my body, and my mind seemed to scream: “this is what I’ve always been needed!”
Since then, a struggle began between principles and a huge desire to smoke again and again. I would buy a pack of cigarettes, smoke 1 or 2 cigarettes and throw it away. But the cravings of my lungs could no longer be stopped. After just two weeks, I started smoking every day. At that moment I realized that I had become what I always wanted to be, I became a smoker.
My addiction grew with every cigarette I smoked. My lungs wanted more and more. I smoked in the morning, before classes at the university, between classes and after them. Every time I put a cigarette in my mouth, I looked forward to how a new portion of smoke and tar would enter my lungs, and nicotine would fill my blood.
After some time, my friends began to call me a heavy smoker. Even Max told me that he didn't know the last time he saw me without a cigarette in my hand. I realized that I'm on the right track. I became truly proud of myself and my addiction.
Today I smoke 15 cigarettes a day and dream of increasing this amount to 2 packs of Marlboro reds. Looking back, my only regret is that I didn’t start smoking earlier.
As a self proclaimed Marlboro man, he’s rarely seen without a cigarette in his mouth. He can’t get enough of the sweet Marlboro smoke and tar into his lungs. He knows that he will eventually meet the same fate as the original Marlboro man, but that’s a price he’s willing to pay.
