Right back at ya, current five favorite fics?

"Life Finds a Way" by Kyn (Transformers Bayverse) This one is still in-progress but it's a fic I love so dearly. I love Ratchet slowly coming around and borderline adopting Charlie as both a patient and as an apprentice; I love how stinkin' cute Bumblebee is; I love the commentary on war and race, etc., without it feeling like it's been shoehorned in for the sake of it.

"Hang the Fool" by AlmaMeDuele (Overwatch) I don't have the words other than this fic - is - so - good. It reads fast; nothing about it overstays its welcome. The structure is snappy but still so vivid. It's one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to style execution.

"Sister" by KenzieQuip (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) I stumbled across this fic while browsing through some MCU art and I fell - in - love. There's so much heart in the story and it makes me feel welcome without knowing anything about the TV show or the characters beforehand.

"Peacemaker" by astolat (Transformers Animated) I'm usually not a huge fan of MegaPrime (MegaOP? OptiTron?), especially in the context of Transformers Animated, but ho-lee-shit this one-shot takes the cake. There's this sense of intense hope that's woven through the story and it makes my insides hurt. Highly recommend if you want to cry about politics and religion (but in a good way); very cathartic.

"Marriage a Trois" by Sorrel (Sherlock Holmes 2009) This is a real gem of a find. I don't really know what to say about it other than the fact that it's good? Gorgeously written; extremely intelligent.

Just realized that while I would've preferred the Kong-Godzilla meeting *prior* to something like KOTM (assuming the pending sequel is even their first encounter), said flick *does* introduce just enough MacGuffins & unscrupulous asshats wielding same to spice things up beyond 'megaprimate & ur-saurian meet, take Instant Offense'. Also sorta hoping the Iwi play a more hands-on role than seen in K:SI.

Same, nonnie - there’s gotta be some Chekhov’s Guns come GvK, plus more of the ‘17 and counting’ Titans coming out to play, and participating Iwi taking an active role from the ensuing chaos would be pretty interesting.

Power of the Primes

Oh, God, I’m so glad I waited until all episodes were aired, I wouldn't handle waiting the whole week for this.

SPOILERS (and grammar mistakes) UNDERNEATH.

In short: WHATCH IT IT'S FUCKING GOOD. Better then season 1 and 2 combine. Well, it's not saying much, but trust me it's amazing. Maybe my bar was too low, but I loved Power of the Primes!

I did review first two episodes but I'm too lazy to re-read it, and don't remember what I write there XD

Pros and Cons

+ - Animation is superb (compared to what was)! Except with facial animation. They tried to include it a little in the end thought (accidently made Megatron's checks glitch in one scene, but don't worry about it)

+ The lightning! IT'S SO FUCKING BEAUTIFUL! I shit you not, they actually made this season incredibly gorgeous with all the effects.

+ Music! Oh my, they fixed even it!

+ Jokes are actually funny!

+ Decepticons and Autobots die equally, not just 'cons.

+ - Writing. In first two episodes it's not that strong, but next OH MY. Quality of it escalates quickly. I was on the edge of my sit till the end.

+ Also includes metaphor about MegaOp WITH MATH.

+ Megatron is heroic.

+ MEGATRON WAS ORIDGINALY GAVATRON WHAT THE FUCK! I LOVE IT. I god damn it adore it! It's new origin story and its fantastic! Megatron was Unicron's slave, he broke free and then took name of a god!

+ Megatronus and Solus story! It's so beautiful! Like that's top A+ villan motivation. It make so much goddamn sense!  And I like how it was resolve.

+ And Optimus Primal? OH MY, I totally into him. Pity he lost his hot bod in the end, tho. I ship MegaPrimal now, ooops.  

I said to @darklordofcutlets "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if they make Primal 13 Prime instead of Optimus for a change?" And they DID. (I mean, he won funpool, but I didn't think Hasbro will do it here.)

Thought they gave him the most ridicules name XD I mean it's call back from Beast Wars, but there it had another meaning.

+ Overlord was truly scary! (Also, suddenly, shipping marital with Rodimus)

+ Rodimus "Shatter Glass" design? HOHOHO! You know how they did it? How they gave him a beard? Its simple. As was in Prime, after Unicron upgraded him, Rodimus became looking more like him!!! Fucking YES!

Lonely minuses:

- Dinobots should had all dies too (except Grimlock)

- Using of the word "shit".

- In first episodes I don't like how Megatronus talk. His voice had traitorous tones :) Don't match his tragedy at all.

- Victorion don't really have positive traits. She had potential to grow, which was cool, but she, did not used it.
