___’s heartbeat thumped harshly against her chest, her breathing was ragged with shaky inhales and exhales. One hand rested upon her stomach while another leant on the ground behind her, supporting her body as she tipped back slightly.
She needed to get back to camp, the healers there would be able to use the appropriate oils and salves to sooth her pains, they also would be able to safely deliver her baby. She could not do it alone after all, even if her skills were exceedingly good.
The Na’vi grunted as she turned to stand up, getting into a squad to heave herself onto two feet. But as she did more water ran down her shaky legs and she huffed out, sitting back down onto the moss. She could not do it. Her birthing had to be done here.
Alone.
___ placed both hands behind her and scooted herself against the trunk of vitrautral, hopefully the great mother will guide her. The grass below her glowed a soft blue hue, even in the afternoon light she was able to make out the intricate glow.
A sharp pain in her abdomen made her screech out, leaning forward and deeply breathing. She was no stranger to the stories of childbirth, her sa’nok, along with the other mothers of the village told her stories of their labours. The wetness, the pain, the screaming, then it was the bliss, holding their child for the first time in their arms. At the time she could not wait for it to happen to herself, but now she regretted everything, she wanted them out.
More shouts left her plush lips as she moved to a squat, facing and leaning against the tree for support. One hand left the trunk to undo her tweng and feel her entrance, she was dilated. If she felt further she would of been able to make out the smoothness of a head.
When the contractions started coming closer in time, ___ knew she had to push. She cried, tears leaking from her flushed face as she wailed prayers to Eywa for a safe delivery, for Sylwanin and her ancestors to look out for her.
Tumblr media
Time passed by fast and eclipse was nearing, the sun slowly backing into the shadows to make way for the night.
A hand was placed onto ___’s warm shoulder and the woman’s ears twitched, head swivelling around and her eyes widened as she was faced with Mo’at.
“___, ‘evi…” the Tsahìk reached a hand down to feel her daughter, the head was almost out already, it was no doubt she has been in labour for a while. “They are close” she smiled, reaching her head out to kiss her daughter in law’s wet cheek, “push ‘ite”
A scream was released into the air as ___ forced herself to squeeze, her opening stretching to accommodate the life that was coming out of her. Mo’at sang comforting prayers to their deity, hand under the baby to get ready to catch them when they fell, she moved ___ to arch her back more, watching as the child slipped out with ease.
The Tsahìk caught them, making sure to use her knife to cut the cord, “‘aw evengan, ma ‘ite” she grinned. The new mother turned her head and laughed, her lash line being coated with happy tears. Mo’at quickly moved to connect the boy’s queue to his mothers, tsaheylu was important for them to establish a mother-child bond. She moved him into his sa’nok’s arms as she weeped, he was beautiful. “What are you naming him?”
“Sylwaì” ___’s lip wobbled, ‘‘Sylwanin was a good name after all…’’. Before Mo’at could say anything else, another pained shout echoed through the cliffs that surrounded them. The elder was quick to asses the woman, checking her for any injuries until she felt her belly.
It was still large.
Immediately she felt ___’s entrance once again and gasped when another head had appeared. Another baby. This was never seen in the Na’vi, it was an enigma, something that may be caused by Jake’s human genes.
Without time to dwell, the Tsahìk coaxed the still squatting woman to squeeze once again, giving her praises and going back to singing hymns. ___ held her son close to her chest as he pawed at her chest beads, feeling her mothers distress through the bond.
But it was easier the second time around, the next baby came out without much of a hitch. After another push they slipped out and their mother collapsed after Mo’at cut the cord once again, “another boy, mune ‘itan, you have truly been blessed, Eywa has seen to you that you get the family you deserve”
“Sylwaì ulte Syatxì. My sons. My beautiful children” ___ grinned at the chubby boys as she formed the bond, connecting her second born to the tsaheylu that was already connected with his brother. The three bonded and all ___ felt was ‘onglawn, the exhilaration feeling the bond take place. She felt their calm breaths, their slow beating hearts and happy thoughts. Her happy babies.
“They are small, you have given birth too early ‘ite” The Tsahìk made sure the new mother was rested against the tree, looking around the dark horizon and back to the small family, smiling “but they are healthy, the great mother says they will be strong” she placed a hand on the others head, sending thanks to Eywa for the safe delivery. If she had not made it in time, she would not know how this would have turned out.
“How did you know I was in labour?” ___ looked up, still panting slightly. Her yellow eyes twinkled in the light of the tree of souls and her face glowed like any other new mother.
Mo’at tapped her own nose once, then tapped the other woman’s “a Tsahìk sees all” was the only words she said. But it was enough. Interpreting the will of Eywa was not something anyone could do, her mother in law holds a special bond with Pandora.
___ looked down at the boys who cooed sleepily “I did all the work to bring you here, and yet you are the ones who are tired?” the two women chuckled. The na’vi looked back up and sighed heavily, only one thought emerging from the back of her mind, making itself prominent in the way it pangs painfully.
Her mates. What would they say about this?
Tumblr media
When the sun emerged from the giant planet, Polyphemus, and bathed Pandora with light once again, ___ awoke with her children resting safely in her arms. Mo’at a few feet away with some fruit cut up in front of her.
She sat up slowly and looked down to see her loincloth put back into place, her mother in law must have cleaned her when she was resting. A whine caught her attention and her ears swivelled, eyes landing on the boys stretching their little legs. ___ grinned brightly and brought them up to her chest, letting them suckle her for milk.
“Come, have some food. You should be hungry, like your boys” her mother beckoned her over, handing her slices of yovo. “We must get you back to the clan soon, their family must meet them”
At the mention of her mates, ___ turned her ears down. She did not want for her sons to be treated with unfair cruelty just like she had, and she knew that the couple would not hold back just because she gave birth to their sons. “I do not want to”
“What?” Mo’at looked at her like she grew two heads, she had an idea what has been happening with her children and tried to stop any wrongdoings. But she could not prevent what they did behind closed curtains in the privacy of their home. She felt helpless, and only wished for the great mother to guide them all to a better future.
“I do not want to go back. You know what will happen if I do. I cannot deal with this mistreatment on myself and I cannot allow it to happen to my sons” ___ kisses each boy on the back of their head, rubbing her thumbs on their backs as comfort. “I want to leave”
The elder’s eyes softened at the display of affection, pupils dilating in understanding. “If that is what you wish, I will help you ‘ite. But I hesitate, when you leave, I will no longer be able to watch you”
“But you are Tsahìk, I thought you see all” ___ jested, gaining a smile in return. “I leave tonight. But I do not know where to go, Pandora is too big and too dangerous”
“The Metkayina are reef Na’vi. If you travel beyond the sea you will be able to reach them, they will take you in. But the journey is long, you will need to be prepared for it” Mo’at stood up and helped ___ in the process, holding a hand on the young Na’vi’s back as they walked in the direction of camp. Speaking hushed whispers of where she would go, who she would meet, what to expect and what to take for her boys.
Tumblr media
Sylwaì and Syatxì wriggled in their mothers hold, ears twitching and small tails wrapping around her wrists as they entered their home. Na’vi gasped at the family, having not seen their Tsahìk and her daughter in law for hours, they were starting to grow worried. But now they were back, bringing two small babies with them.
Some approached her to get a closer look, offering smiles and their congratulations. ___ grinned back, happy at the love her people saw for the babies. They both cooed when the women of the clan stroked their little hands and small noses.
“We give our thanks to Eywa, who has brought safe delivery to our new members, and your Olo’eyktan’s first borns” Mo’at lifted her hands to the sky while the clan cheered and whooped.
At the sound of loud shouting, Jake and Neytiri both turned to eachother, worried that something has happened while they were in their home. The woman dropped her basket weaving and rushed to grab her bow, Jake quickly doing the same for his gun while they slid down to the forest floor. “What’s going on?” he approached the large group, ready to attack.
The clan parted for their leaders to see and it was a sight that was most unexpected. ___ stood in the centre, looking tired but glowing all the same, holding two Na’vi babies in her arms. Neytiri’s eyes widened, looking from the babes to the mother’s now flat stomach, putting two and two together, “those children…” she whispered, mind wondering off. ___ gave birth without their knowledge, to two nonetheless and much earlier than anticipated.
Jake dropped his gun, staring at the boys. They were twins, both looking the exact same with three fingers and small tufts of hair on their head. They were cute, especially when they tried to open their eyes and reach their small hands to grasp whatever they could, making the sweetest sounds to their mama.
His babies. His boys.
He tried to walk closer to the group, taking careful steps but saw the way ___ clutched them closer, to the naked eye it would just look like she wanted a better hold on them. But to Jake’s, he saw the fear in her yellow orbs, the way she stared at him with anticipation, waiting for his next move. He stopped and his ears went down slightly.
“Omaticaya, we leave the family to rest” Mo’at, ever the observant, shooed the people away while her children and grandsons got acquainted, making sure to keep a close eye on them if anything were to happen. She will not allow her grandchildren to also suffer.
Once the clan parted and went back to their chores, Neytiri walked next to her husband, a sadness coating her face. “When…when did you do it” she looked into the eyes of the new mother and saw a sight she has become all to familiar with, it filled her with grief. Has she caused this? Deep down she knew she had, everything leading up to this moment was her fault.
___ stepped back slightly, eyes never leaving the couple, “last night…” she softly whimpered when Syatxì’s tail tightened on her wounded wrist, it has been treated, but still hurts and will take time to heal. The sound caused the two Na’vi in front of her to instinctively perk up, their eyes looking over her for any injuries and Neytiri’s breath hitched when landing on her wrist.
___ saw the change in her expression and decided to leave, she did not want to dwell with them for longer than she had to. She excused herself and walked away towards their home, climbing the tree to the best of her ability and settling down once she was inside the hut. She did not want to hear what they had to say. Not ever again.
Tumblr media
___ strolled towards Hellsgate, after the hassle the clan made of her coming back she decided to pay the humans a visit, including Spider. Her twins were strapped in their carrier, one on the front and one on the back, both squealing happily at the atokirina that flew down and tickled them. Eywa was watching.
The Na’vi stepped over roots and rocks, finally seeing the entrance to the building a few ways ahead. Slowly walking down the hill and going towards it, hoping that they would not be alarmed by her sudden presence. “Kaltxì” the woman called once she was close enough, knocking on the door and grinning at the small man who opened it, Max.
“Hi ___! Come inside - oh! Congrats on the babies!” he cheerfully waved at her little ones, the babies stared at him, sucking their thumbs and most likely trying to see who he was through their growing eye sight. The Na’vi walked into the air lock, waiting for the next door to open so they could finally be where the rest of the tawtute were. Max strolled in front of her, pointing out where Norm was most likely at and she thanked him in English, some of these humans do not understand Na’vi so she made sure to adapt for them. “Hey ___” Norm grinned at her tiredly, noting the two babies strapped to her he blinked, surprised, “they are early” he stated, getting up from his seat and walking towards her. The taller woman kneeled down to introduce them, offering Norm to hold one, after their constant get togethers she grew to trust him. “No, I would rather not, Spider has been acting up like crazy and I think I’ve had my fill of kids for now…No offence!” He quickly added, not wanting to come off as rude.
___ smiled at him, understanding, sometimes the children she took care of can be a bit much “it is okay Norm, where is Spider though?”. The man pointed to a hallway just across from them, telling her that the boy was in the first room to the left. He quickly grabbed a breathing mask for her, noting that she had none on and urged her to take it before sending her off.
___ looped the device around her neck, understanding his concern but she will not need it, she is not staying long.
Little Miles was in a colourful room, playing with some wooden toys she have carved out a couple of weeks ago, in his left hand he held a figure of Toruk and in the right a Na’vi. He squealed when he saw her walk through the too small door, standing up on little legs and rushing towards her. “Hi! Hi!” he bellowed cutely, hugging her calf and rubbing his cheek on it.
The woman grinned brightly and sat down so they could be closer, untying her babies to introduce them to each other. “‘evi, this is Sylwaì and Syatxì” she observed as the human boy looked between the two and pointed to ___’s tummy in question. “Srane, I have gave birth to them last night” she stoked the boys blonde curls and watched as he poked one of the babies arms, he was as big as them. It made her giggle.
Her laughter mellowed at why she came to him in the first place, she had to tell him the news. Spider may not understand properly, but she loves the child, he deserves to be made aware. “Spider. Please look at me” she lifted his head to stare into his brown eyes softly “I am leaving Omaticaya” her voice cracked.
The toddler looked at her with confusion, only really understanding the word ‘leave’ after having heard it plenty when saying goodbye, but seeing the tears in the woman’s eyes he knew this was much more serious, “Leave?”
“Srane. I am leaving forever”
The English processed in his head and the boy felt his eyes well up, lip quivering. “Kehe! Stay! Sa’nok!”
___’s heart broke. Mother. He called her mother. She picked him up and placed him with her twins, kissing his head and wiping his tears. “Ma ‘itan. I have to. I do not feel safe here” he dulled down and whimpered, nodding his head. Smart boy, her smart boy. “I can not take you with me either, yawnetu. It is not safe for a tawtute, you can get hurt”
Spider nodded again slowly, coming to terms with their departure. Small tears dropped down his chubby cheeks, he was scared to lose her. But if she did not want to be here he can not stop her. “Sa’nok…” he cuddled into her large blue body, sniffling. ___ cooed and tried her best to comfort him, feeling her own sadness drip down her face.
“My child. We will see each other again. Become strong. Eywa will guide you, I promise” she took of the thin choker she wore around her neck, the beads shined in pretty blues and browns. ___ wrapped it around little Miles’s arm, touching her forehead to his. “‘itan, I will always love you”
Tumblr media
The tree of souls glistened in the night of Pandora, ___ wanted the ceremony done now before she were to leave for good, who knows when her boys would ever get the chance to connect to a sacred space again? The reefs journey was long and there was no vitrautral for miles.
Mo’at chanted prayers into the air, the Omaticaya swayed in the back, humming songs of support, the floor glowed with their connection, a bright teal pulsed into the darkness. Syatxì and Sylwaì’s kurus linked with one of the hanging branches, it glowing with the newfound connection.
The two babies smiled gummy smiles to their parents, feeling the warmth of their great mother and the love that she holds for her children. Sylwaì gurgled happily at ___, her pupils dilated in pure bliss in return. Her sons were now connected to Pandora, they will grow with a strong connection to their deity and all living things.
Jake held Syatxì in his strong arms, as was custom for an Olo’eyktan and a father of almost three. He stared into his boys yellow eyes as he cooed, a small smile graced the man’s face as the baby made sweet sounds. How could he ever be deprived of them? How did he ever have the nerve to do this to their mother?
He glanced towards his left where ___ kissed Sylwaì’s forehead, heart beating just a tad faster. She was beautiful, she has always been beautiful. He just couldn’t believe it took so long to see it. To see her.
Mo’at nodded towards Jake curtly as she passed him, ending the ceremony with chirps and loud words of thanks. She was happy for her daughter in law, but not happy with her son. He did not deserve to hold that baby, but she could not protest, as is the way.
“My sweet babies” ___ whispered, nuzzling into the boy she held, pride overtaking her every being. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed Neytiri grinning at her, also proud of her old friend and mate for achieving something so great. ___’s mood instantly mellowed, she does not get to be proud.
Not after all she has done.
Tumblr media
Her ikran landed onto the branch just a couple of minutes away from the clan, squawking at the sight of her rider and new offspring’s. “Kaltxì Tìlor” ___ stroked the nose of the creature, laughing quietly as she was smothered. “We must go. Far away” she connected queues and instantly Tìlor understood, wings flapping and pupils dilating. She must get her rider to safety.
___’s sons were in their carrier on either side of their mother once more, but this time swabbed in blankets just to make sure they will stay warm. It was an eight hour journey to the reefs, there she will find a clan that can take her in.
She has had enough of her mates mistreatment, it was about time she left. With the birth of her twins it motivated her to keep them safe from the hands of Jake and Neytiri who still slept soundly in their bed.
The Na’vi left the home she shared earlier that night, packing essentials such as food, water, warm clothes and memorabilia. She took Sylwanins beads and some of Mo’at’s jewellery, items to remember her home and loved ones here. She does not know if or when she will come back.
___ jumped softly up onto Tìlor’s back, urging her to lift up into the sky and away from Omaticaya. She looked back in sadness, high enough to see Hellsgate just past the tree line.
She prays that Jake and Neytiri will never find her.

Tumblr media
Opening my eyes, expecting to find myself in the windowless compound I had confined my body the day before, I'm met with the sight of sunlight beaming through multiple windows. Frantically glancing down, I discover my hands still tinged with the same blue hue as my Avatar from the previous day, moving my hands around in disbelief.
Suddenly hit with the same pain I had the previous day, but this time the feeling tenfold worse. My hands instinctively reach to cradle my head, as if my hands were protecting my head from whatever pain was causing my head to ache.
This can't be happening! I was suppose to disconnect from this body. Thoughts started to race through my mind, while my brain simply couldn't catch up before being hit with another wave of pain.
As I stagger out of bed, a wave of agony crashes over me, each pulse feeling like a bullet piercing my skull. Struggling to maintain balance, I attempt to walk, but with each step, the pressure in my head intensifies. Collapsing onto the bed I had just vacated, I cling to it for support.
Looking around the other Avatar beds, I note that Norm, Grace and Jake had all left to go do something requiring the use of their Avatar bodies, leaving me alone in the compound. Using all my remaining strength, I decided to go to the one person who I know could possibly help, Max.
Approaching Max, he seems to already be expecting me, turning around with a smile on his face. "You seemed to have a early start of your day, already in your Avatar body so early. Grace, Norm and Jake went out to the forest, they'll be back in a few hours." he says, smiling up at me, but faltering as he realises the look on my face.
"Max, I didn't delink." I say weakly, looking down at him.
"What? No, that's impossible." he says smile now fully replaced with a serious look and calls over the other scientists and doctors in the bio-lab.
Multiple doctors and scientists walk up to me and help me get on a gurney set up. "Don't worry Y/n. We just need to run a couple of tests." Max says, trying to reassure me.
Hours pass, and seemingly everything that the doctors do makes the pain worsen. With every needle etched into my skin, with every question asked bouncing around in my brain causing pain. The strength that I once felt in this body now deteriorating as the hours go by. Deciding to go against the many warning and wishes of doctors and closing my eyes in the hope that I would delink in the process.
Ties passes with me being asleep but still stirring discomfort. Grace and Norm both walk up to me in their human forms, having delinked prior. "What's happening?" I hear her say through closed eyes.
Immediately opening them, I utter, "Where's Jake?" looking at her then behind her in hopes of my brother to wheel in from behind.
"Where's Jake? Where's my brother, Grace? Norm?" I repeat louder, frantically looking at them waiting for a response, as I hiss because the sudden movement causes the pain to resurface.
"Jake got lost, he'll be fine, he's a marine after all. You should be worried about yourself right now." she says trying to calm me down.
Deciding to lay my head back down on the gurney, a single tear rolling down my blue-stained cheek. "You lost my brother," I say defeated as I close my eyes, not wanting to stare into the cold lights on the lab.
"Grace, Y/n didn't delink last night." Max interjects, breaking the silence in the lab. At his words, both Norm and Grace instinctively turn their gazes toward Y/n, noticing the thin layer of sweat formed on her forehead.
"Why can't we just press the emergency release button on her link bed?" Norm asks, directing his question as Grace.
"That'll kill her and her Avatar. She is too weak in both states." Grace responds eyes not leaving Y/n, who lies there, examining her false body whilst her real one remains trapped in her link bed.
"This cannot be treated with the medicine we have. This is an Avatar body. Only Tsahik can heal her now."
Opening the door to his link bed, Jake is greeted with the sight of Grace flashing light into his eyes. "Come on back kid." she says slapping his face lightly.
You're not gonna believe where I am." he says with a chuckle, earning a smile from Grace who immediately knew what the Marine had just said, while exiting the link bed. Reminded of the harsh reality as he adjusts himself on his wheelchair.
"Where's Y/n? I gotta tell her all about the shit I went through today," he says, wheeling around to go find his sister.
"That's what we wanted to tell you Jake, Y/n is still in her Avatar form." Grace informs Jake, as he looks to where her link bed is situated and confirms that the bed is indeed still running.
"But, she's been that way since yesterday. She's sick Jake. A sickness we are not capable of treating. Only Tsahik can, and you're the only one they accepted in, so we need you to–" Grace adds but is cut of by Jake.
"Take her to Mo'at. I got it." he adds while still being in disbelief at the information that Y/n was still in her Avatar form.
"Where is her Avatar?" is all he says as he looks away from Grace, guilt eating at him. While he was snagging a date with the Olo'eytkan's daughter, his very own sister was fighting for her life in a body she didn't wish to even have.
"On the gurney." Norm says, pointing at a still Y/n in the center of the room, wires attached to her temple and onto a monitoring machine.
Wheeling over to his sister, Jake stops and looks at her face. Eyebrows scrunched, as if she could still feel while she slept. "Don't worry Y/n, I'll bring you to Mo'at, she'll know what to do."
Tumblr media
"Come on, Y/n. I'm gonna need you to work with me here." Jake grunts, his effort evident as he hoists one of my arms over his shoulders, helping me off the gurney.
"I'm trying," I sigh, leaning heavily onto his Avatar body. The pulsating agony in my temple dulled a bit, but still remains excruciating, especially at the slightest of sounds- ironic, given the heightened senses of an Avatar.
"We just need to get you onto the Samson. Trudy will take us halfway there, we'll have to walk the rest." he says, leading me into the loading dock where a lady, who I assume to be Trudy, waits. Both Grace and Norm by her side in their Avatar forms.
The flight didn't take long, but the machines noise makes it unbearable to sit without contorting my face. "We're here Y/n." This is where we split." Grace says, placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder as the Samson lands amidst Pandoras dense flora.
Exiting the ship with Jakes help, I watch as Norm, Grace and Trudy fly off. Norm and Grace are yet to be accepted by the Omatikaya, while Trudy's situation is more obvious.
The trek to the home tree isn't far, but I struggle to appreciate Pandoras beauty as my head seems to only want to be focused on pain. "This wouldn't happen with Tommy–" I begin through gritted teeth.
"Would you just–Y/n. Stop thinking of the past, he's gone." Jake interrupts, his voice laced with irritation as he adjusts my arm, supporting me as we continue.
"How could you just forget–" I start before silencing myself, fixated on the towering tree ahead, it's entrance clearly marked. Voices fill the air with a foreign language.
"Kewong." is the only word I hear as Jake and I navigate through the gathering crowd. Inspecting us as if we were uninvited animals. The murmurs fade but linger as a commanding voice resonates through the gathering.
"Jakesully. We accept you, yet you think it's acceptable to bring back another tawtute!" a woman declares, descending the home trees stairs with confidence, her demeanour unmistakably authoritative.
"Mo'at. Tsahik of the Omatikaya Clan. I ask that you please help my sister. She is ill and cannot be helped by our healers. You're her only hope." Jake pleads occasionally averting his gaze from Mo'at's stern glare.
Mo'at turns her attention to me, and I stiffen under her sharp gaze. "What's your name?" she asks bluntly, her eyes boring into mine.
"Y/n. Y/n Sully." I reply, swallowing hard.
"Tsmuktu. Uniltirantokx Tsmuktu." she declares, circling me like prey, mirroring the crowds earlier inspection.
"You are weak, Weaker than your brother Jakesully. You will not survive." she declares, her words final. She refuses aid, and Jake seems to sense the seriousness of her words.
Stumbling forward, out of Jakes grasp, I follow Mo'at pleading silently as my knees buckle beneath the weight of my throbbing head.
"I only aid The People. You, Y/nsully, are not one of us." Mo'at declares, dismissing me without a glance.
In the midst of Mo'at's discourse, a dandelion-like creature lands briefly on my forehead before fluttering away.
A woman steps forward, "Atokirina, Ma Tsahik." she says in a rushed voice, offering a tentative smile.
"A sign from Eywa." she explains, lifting me gently. "Ma Tsahik." she turns to Mo'at with a knowing look.
"Come," Mo'at says not bothering to look back, leading the way with the woman and Jake by my side.
"Who's eywa?" I whisper to Jake, to which he shrugs. "No idea, asked Norm and he gave me a lecture, but I tuned out." he whispers back, a shared chuckle lightening our steps as we struggle to keep pace with the Tsahik.
Entering a tent-like structure, I can only assume belongs to Mo'at and her mate, the Olo'eytkan. "Lay down." she instructs me.
As I comply, Mo'at resumes speaking. "Neytiri, fetch her appropriate clothing. We do not tolerate tawtute attire." she commands, turning to Neytiri, who promptly departs. Mo'at kneels beside me.
As Neytiri leaves, another Na'vi man enters, his anger radiating as he confronts Mo'at and I. "How could you allow this demon entry?" he accuses, pointing a finger at me.
"Tsu'tey she is unwell. She poses no threat." Jake intervenes, stepping forward with his hands in the air.
"You! Do not adrress me as one of your own." Tsu'tey rebukes Jake, pushing him aside to confront me.
"You suffer because you inhabit a false body. Return to your tawtute life." he insists glaring down at me.
"I would if I could," I retort, meeting his gaze from my position on the floor, catching Mo'at's attention.
"If you could?" she probes skeptically before returning her focus to crushing the herbs, while Neytiri re-enters with a loincloth and accessories.
"Yes, I am unable to revert back to my human form." I admit, sighing as Mo'at and Neytiri exchange meaningful looks.
"Child, you are chosen by Eywa. Both you and your tsmukan." Mo'at declares, placing a cool cloth on my forehead and motioning me to remain still.
"It is settled. You will be instructed by Tsu'tey, once you are well." she concludes leaving, with a furious Tsu'tey follwing behind.
"I will teach you both the ways of our tongue." Neytiri announces before departing, leaving Jake and I alone in the home of the Tsahik and Olo'eytkan.
"Rest Y/n. I wanna go back and tell Norm about how you and I are both getting trained by the future clan leaders, I wanna see the jealousy on his face." Jake says, a grin on his face as he exits, likely to delink.
With that, my eyes drift closed involuntarily, the pain slowly receding as I slip further and further into slumber.

A/N: You are responsible for your own media consumption. MDNI 18+. This was at @eywaseclipse request. If anyone else has requested for this series please send them in.
Pairing: Tsu'tey x Fem!Omatikaya! Reader,
Word count: 1325
Synopsis: Tsu'tey stays with your son alone for the first time
[Previous] // [Next]
[Request are open]
The passage of time had brought many new experiences to their lives. Tsu'Tey still basked in the joy of parenthood and savored every moment with his small family. Watching his son grow up was one of the greatest joys in his life, and he was proud of his development. (Y/N) was preparing to leave for the day, leaving their son alone with Tsu'tey for the first time.
Tsu’Tey was a little nervous to be alone with their son for the first time, but he was also excited at the idea of bonding with him without her around.
He knew that he was capable and that he would do just fine, but somehow he still felt uneasy about being on his own with him. As (Y/N) was about to leave on her first hunt since their son was born with Neytiri , Tsu'Tey asked her casually:"You don't have any worries about leaving me alone with him?" “ Of course not besides mo'at said she’d be in the healing hut if anything happened “ she said to him "That's comforting to know." Tsu'Tey was glad that Mo'at was looking over them, just in case. "Well, it's just going to be me and him for the day." He said as he took a deep breath to steady his nerves.
He was feeling more confident by the moment.
“You'll be fine. I already fed him this morning and I'll be back before dinner.” "I know, I know." Tsu Tey's nerves were still in overdrive, but he was starting to relax a little more. "I could handle this." He assured her, forcing a confident voice despite his nerves. "So, don't worry. You just have a nice day, and we'll see you before dinner."
She left with her bow in hand. Tsu Tey watched her leave, and he couldn't help but feel anxious as the moments passed by. He was going to be alone with his son for the first time, and he was feeling a combination of butterflies and nerves. He needed to keep a level head, but it was difficult with his son's future hovering over him.
Once she was out of sight, he took a deep breath and focused on the task at hand. He turned his gaze to his son sleeping peacefully in his crib.
Their son slept a bit longer before waking
Tsu'Tey was keeping a watchful eye on his son during his sleep, occasionally checking to make sure everything was all right. Once the little one woke up, he leaned over the crib. "Hello, my little one. Have you had a good nap?" He asked him softly, smiling at his son as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. The boy stared up at Tsu'tey kicking his legs. Tsu'Tey couldn't help but feel delighted as he watched the baby kick his legs around. The gesture was small and playful, but it reminded him of his son's growing energy every day. He took a moment to study the tiny na’vi's face, admiring his features and noting how he was developing into a handsome little boy.
He babbled to Tsu'tey reaching up at him
Tsu'Tey smiled as the baby babbled in an attempt to communicate with him. He was not sure of what the little one was trying to tell him, but he was happy to see his son smiling and talking to him. He was fascinated by how his little Na’vi was quickly becoming more expressive and vocal. Tsu'Tey reached down to tickle his son's stomach, prompting him to giggle and kick his legs around even more. It made him feel good to see his son in such a playful mood.
After a few more moments of playing, Tsu'Tey gently picked up his son and settled him on his lap. He held his son's tiny body close to his own and gently caressed the little one's back. The two enjoyed the quiet moment together, letting the calming warmth of each other embrace them as they bonded
.
The little boy was content for a while but wanted to be put down "A little restless, are we?" Tsu'Tey whispered to his son, noticing that he was squirming around on his lap. "Shall I put you down so that you can move around freely?" Tsu'Tey asked him, as he felt his son struggling to leave his arms. He whined pushing off Tsu'tey
"You really want to move around, don't you?" Tsu'Tey asked his son in a playful tone as he felt him pushing away from his arms. Tsu'Tey was not opposed to letting him wiggle around to his heart's content. He gently set his son down in the middle of the floor. The boy immediately crawled off.
Tsu'Tey chuckled as he watched his son gleefully crawling away on all fours. The boy was certainly filled with energy and was eager to explore his surroundings. Tsu'tey was not too worried about letting him roam freely for now. The room was safe enough, and as long as he didn't wander too far, he would be able to keep a watchful eye on the little one. Tsu'Tey had been busy doing a few household chores when he felt a small hand grasping his tail and pulling at it playfully. He turned his head and was surprised to see his son crawling around with his tail in his hands.
The little one had managed to catch him off guard, and he was now entertaining himself by playing with his father's long tail.
He giggled trying to swipe at it as it moved
Tsu'Tey chuckled as his son's chubby hands tried to capture his tail. The little one's curiosity was endearing, and it was hilarious to see him playing with his father's tail. The Navi was not a fan of having his tail pulled at, but he restrained himself from pulling away, deciding to let his son have his moment of fun. He kept himself occupied with his other chores, while his son continued to pull on his tail and to giggle.
Around midday he started to fuss with hunger
Tsu'Tey attention was immediately caught by the sound of his son's whimpers and by the way he began to fuss with hunger. The baby's body language didn't leave him too much room to doubt that he was hungry. The Navi immediately stopped what he was doing and rushed over to him to attend to his needs. His fussing got louder
Tsu'Tey was a bit surprised to observe how the little one's fussing got louder as time went on. His whimper was becoming louder and more impatient as he waited for food. In a heartbeat, the Navi quickly prepared the milk to serve him. He had gotten better at it was clear that his child had really got him on the edge during this first experience of caring for him alone.
He greedily drank the most milk. The little one couldn't help but drink greedily as he was clearly hungry and was eager to satisfy his hunger.
Tsu'Tey watched him in awe as he consumed the milk so quickly. The Na'vi didn't mind that he was so eager, on the contrary, it amused him. He was happy that his son had such a sturdy appetite, which only showcased his vigor. Shortly afterwards, their little one had finished his milk and had started to look full and content. He let out a sleepy smile, showing off his toothless grin before resting his head on Tsu'Tey's broad chest.
When (Y/N) returned just before nightfall she found them both asleep. When she entered the room, TsuTey was still cradling their son's small body as it rested on his chest. Their little one was fast asleep, his head lying on Tsu'Tey's chest and his tiny limbs dangling off his sides. The Navi was also asleep, exhausted from his first day alone with their child. Their son's body was warm and content, reflecting the peaceful atmosphere of the room.

So I re-watched avatar. (edited)
The first avatar btw.
Has anyone else noticed how Eytukan shielded Neytiri in the scene where the come back the morning after from the tree of souls?
Like she tries to run to protect Jake but he holds her back and shields her with his arm.
The more watch this, the more I realized how much we missed out on seeing more of Mo’at and Eytukan?
I mean come on y'all they’ve already lost one child, they’re probably so protective of Neytiri after losing Sylwanin, especially to the humans.
(edit: am the only one who thinks that Tuk was named after Eytukan?)

Don’t touch my child.
<if Paz Socorro lived Au>
Summary: Little Spider keeps getting picked on, Paz isn’t happy about it but kids are cruel. However, adults are old enough to know better and Paz is willing to put them all in their place if they don’t……………even if they’re visiting tribal leaders.
(Both of the clan leaders are real characters so you can google them to see what they look like 😁)
•••
Both the Olangi and Tayrangi clans had been staying with the Omatikaya for the past week. Things had been going reasonably well despite the initial tension of the clans interacting with sky people again after the war.
After the first incident of a few Olangi warriors getting riled up over the scientists, it had been unanimously decided that everyone would be better off if the humans stayed away….. decided by everyone but Spider and the Sully kids that is.
Other than that, as far as Jake could tell everything was going great. The people were happy to have something the celebrate and they were strengthening there bonds with their allies, not to mention catching up with old friends.
So yeah, everything was going great, the evening meeting was getting on almost perfectly….……until an angry Paz Socorro walked into the tent with her son sleeping on her hip.
“Paz, nows not a great time. I’ll speak with you once the meetings over” Jake spoke dismissively before apologising to the others chieftains for the interruption.
Paz scowled at him whilst she gently repositioned Spider so as not to disturb his sleep.
“No Jake. Now” a stunned silence filled the room. Mo’at only raised an intrigued eyebrow in response.
“You do not speak to the Olo’eyktan in that way demon” Akwey, the Olo’eyktan of the Olangi, raised his voice in outrage.
Paz’s cold eye scanned the man up and down before giving a disapproving humph and turning to Jake once again.
“Jake I’m going to need you to translate for me real quick, I want to make sure my words are understood” Paz’s voice was as cold as ice as she spoke.
“Paz, now is really not-“ Jake began to protest before Paz interrupted him whilst rolling her eyes.
“Mo’at, would you be a dear?” Paz asked sweetly as she gave the woman a genuine smile. She’d always been rather fond of the Tsahík since she’s met her.
“Certainly” Mo’at nodded. The feeling was very mutual. Paz smiled and nodded her head again in thanks.
“This is ridiculous!” Akwey yelled in outrage. Ikeyni, the young leader of the Tayrangi, nodded her head in silent agreement.
“Tsk” Paz only clicked her tongue in disappointment, seemingly spurring the man on.
“This demon has no voice here! It is a meeting of our clans!” The man continued yelling.
“You done?” Paz asked, her voice filled with motherly disappointment.
“How dare you-!?” His words were quickly cut off.
“Okay nose pick you had your turn. Now listen up” Paz’s voice was sharp and quiet as she gently bounced Spider, keeping him asleep despite the noise. Jake’s eyebrows shot up as his eyes briefly flickered to the stick piercing the bridge of the man’s nose.
“First of all, lower your voice. My son is sleeping and we’re all adults with fully functioning ears here” Paz said as she raised a disapproving eyebrow.
“This cannot be allowed!?” Akwey exclaimed.
“Akwey, be quiet so this can be done” Ikeyni groaned, earning a shocked look from the man and an approving nod from Paz.
“Thank you sweetheart” Paz briefly smiled to the young Olo’eyktan as if Ikeyni was a small child. Only to get shocked eyes in return from the woman.
Akwey huffed in annoyance.
“I’ll be brief. As I’ve said, this is my sweet little boy. His name is Miles but he prefers to be called Spider, if you talk to him you will address him as such. But” Paz turned towards Akwey as she paused.
“I would rather you don’t go near my son again as it’s you I have a problem with” Paz’s voice was heavily laced with venom she directed towards the man, whilst simultaneously rocking Spider gently from side to side.
“What’s this about?”Jake finally asked in confusion.
“Jake hunny, don’t interrupt me I’m still talking” Paz didn’t even turn towards him, only raising a single finger in his direction as her eyes focused on Akwey.
Jake sat stunned as Ikeyni attempted to stifle a snort.
“Earlier today, you insulted my son before grabbing him by the arm. I’m told you lifted him up before dropping him again after he bit you” Paz’s frown deepened whilst her voice remained quiet and reprimanding. Jake’s eyes widened in shock before his face darkened in displeasure.
“Whilst I don’t condone him biting you as that’s not how I raised him. I also can’t condemn him as you are an adult who should know better, especially after seeing the bruise you left on my little boy” Paz gently pulled Spider’s wrist into view, displaying a large darkening bruise across his forearm.
“Imagine my shock, as a mother, when my son comes crying to me saying this was the work of an adult” Paz gave the man a joyless smile. Jake could feel the malice radiating off of Paz’s small form, slowly but surly building the tension within room.
“So, seeing as no one has taught you this lesson it is my job to do so” Jake watched as the confidence slowly drained out of Akwey’s features. Even Jake himself was feeling uncomfortable and he wasn’t even the focus of the woman’s ire.
“You are a Na’vi adult, meaning you are very big and very strong” Paz paused, as if wanting to make sure the man was still following along.
“My son, is a six year old human, meaning he is little and breakable” Paz placed a gentle loving kiss onto Spider’s soft curls.
“Therefore, you should not put your hands on him, you should not manhandle him as if he was a Viperwolf or some other beast. Do you understand so far?”Akwey hesitantly nodded for the woman to continue.
“Good. So here is what we are going to do, and here is my warning. I will say it once so listen well” Paz’s voice was soft and firm as she repositioned a wriggling Spider, situating him comfortably on her other side.
“Tomorrow morning, you are going to apologise to my son and explain to him that what you did is in no way acceptable, and you feel sincerely sorry” Paz waited a moment, her eyes briefly flickering to each Olo’eyktan.
“This applies to all of you so listen up” Jake found himself subconsciously sitting up straighter. He was relived to see Ikeyni doing the same.
“If my son miss behaves you will bring him to me and I will punish him accordingly. You will be respectful and polite to everyone, including my child, just as you would any member or your clan.” Ikeyni silently nodded along to Paz’s words, although they felt more like orders none would dare to disobey.
“Most importantly, you will never put your hands on my child again, or I will tare you into tiny pieces and feed you to a Thanator. Am I understood?” There was no inflection in the woman’s voice, no empty threat in her words or an ounce of hesitation in her eyes. All three of them nodded instantly.
Jake wouldn’t soon forget the chill that ran up his spine as the woman smiled and nodded, he doubted any of the other chiefs would either.
“Good. Now I need to tuck my little Spider into bed, and you all have a meeting to get on with. Mo’at, thank you for being such a darling and translating for me” Paz grind sweetly at the woman, receiving and approving nod in return.
“Mmhmm mama” Spider mumbled as he began to stir.
“Shh baby go back to sleep, mama’s got you don’t worry” Paz gently rocked him back to sleep as he curled tighter around her.
“Good night” Paz whispered as she walked out of the tent.
“Good night” They all whispered back.
A thick silence fell within the tent, only to be broken when Mo’at let out an amused huff before leaving to…..well jake wasn’t entirely sure what she was going to do.
“I feel as if my mother has just told me off” Akwey spoke hesitantly.
“For one so small………she is fierce, like a mother 'angtsìk……I like her…but she is still very scary” Ikeyni said softly in amusement.
“Your telling me” Jake huffed as he ran his hands over his face and through his hair.
“Ma Jake, are you done?” Neytiri said as she popped her head inside the tent.
Jake took a moment to look at the too faces sat across from him.
“Yeah..yeah I think we’re done for now” despite having talked about nothing they had originally planned, both Akwey and Ikeyni instantly nodded in agreement.
The next morning Spider received a sincere apology, from a very sorry Olo’eyktan, much to the shock of everyone….well almost everyone.
Ikeyni spent the rest of her trip with Paz when she wasn’t needed elsewhere, asking the woman for advise on how to get stubborn warriors to listen to her without hesitation…..and complimenting and indulging Spiders every whim.
If Jake found himself referring to Paz as ma’am more often……well that was nobody’s business.
•••

𓇢 a gasp, then silence.𓇢𓆸
Tumblr media
synopsis: how mo’at discovers that neteyam is gone.
warnings: angst. cannon character death, non-cannon interaction and reaction. brief mention of death during childbirth and the battle of home tree.
word count: 600 (it’s itty bitty)
an: i’m so sorry. i had to do it.
𓇢𓆸
mo’at learned quickly that the way of eywa was not fair, nor was it kind.
she had watched innocents suffer. saw children crushed by the home tree when it fell. saw mothers in labor lose their strength.
but after all her suffering, she had prayed to the great mother to at least spare her grandchildren. she knew eywa could make no promises, just as much as she knew that many others had prayed for the same for their own loved ones.
who was she to demand mercy? to take it away from another? to dare question the great balance?
from the moment she had held neteyam, a part of her whispered doom. he was so light, so precious, so very fragile in this dangerous world.
he grew, of course, a strong shell growing around his kind heart. she hated to see him hide it away, but she knew it was there. she had watched him rise to the occasion of war with concealed fear.
she had lost her husband and a son-in-law to the sky people. she couldn’t bare to lose her grandson.
so when they flew to the distant islands of the metkayina, she thought they were safe. surely no one would find them amongst thousands of villages.
she should have known better than to hope.
𓇢𓆸
she awoke sweating and breathless, wheezing as she processed the empty room of her tent.
she had seen blood behind her eyes, a wail of pain and sorrow, a heart beat stopping.
eywa’s messages were always cryptic. but this was easy to piece together.
it was more mo’at’s own will that prevented her from fully interpreting it.
the silence of her hut beat against her ears, so very unusual.
she was used to it being full constantly: of injured, of children, of voices dead and alive.
now, there was nothing. as though the great mother was giving her time to grieve.
she refused.
she pulled on clothes quickly, sliding her blade into its sheath as she set out for the tree of voices.
mo’at may have been old, but she knew the path well. eywa showed her some respect in clearing her path of creatures, allowing her to walk without worry.
the forest was quiet, too, sensing the lose, sensing her rising fear and sadness.
she approached the tree slowly, bringing her queue over her shoulder. her chest tightened with grief, with rage.
neytiri’s scream filled her ears.
she connected her kuru to one of the hanging strands.
it took a few minutes of meditation and searching, but soon she found him.
“hello, grandmother. is everything alright?”
“yes, neteyam. i just wished to see you.”
she did not dwell in the spritual realm of her grandson’s memories, lest she show too much emotion. neteyam did not know he was dead, and she would not try to tamper with that fact.
she disconnected her queue, and the titters of animals around her stopped.
she knelt there for what felt like centuries, hands clenched into fists in her lap. she felt like a child, wanting to scream and rage and wail and holler.
but she did none of those things.
instead, she layed her head against one of the many roots of the tree and wept.
neteyam’s breath in her ear, soft and steady.
in and out, went his lungs when he was born.
in and out, he repeated to himself when he completed his iknimaya.
in and out, he practiced as he prepared to leave his home for a strangers refuge.
in and out.
in and-
a gasp.
then silence.
masterlists.
Tumblr media
this is completely unrelated to breath of venus if you were wondering. i just really wanted to write this. i think we forget about mo’at a lot in this fandom.

Jake x Neytiri x Na’vi!Reader
Summary: One other mate was enough, but two? Unneeded. ___ was the outcast, the unwanted woman. Jake and Neytiri wouldn’t ever see her..right? Warnings: Angst, Injury, Mentions of non-con/Abandonment, Pregnancy Word count: 1.5k

___ awoke gradually, the soft breeze of the morning flowing through her braided hair. The creatures of Pandora were awake and chirping, singing their songs and melody’s to the lone Na’vi under the tree of souls.
The woman opened her eyes, she was still curled up beneath the sacred fauna, it’s long tendrils dropping down softly onto her skin. The grass beneath her glowed a soft bright blue, almost unseen due to the sun, but since she was so close she could make out the little flecks of colour.
___ sat up slowly, wincing at the pain in her body. Her ears dropped as she recalled the events of the previous night, Jake and Neytiri must have left her there, since she could not see or smell them in the area. She felt disgusted in her own skin. ‘I need to clean myself’
It was painful getting up onto her feet, her bones ached. But with Na’vi bodies it would not be long before they set into place again. She limped away from the place and towards the forest, now that it was day, hopefully it would be easier finding her way back to Hellsgate. If not she will call her ikran.
It did not take long for her to reach a clearing, a large waterfall rushed with life towards the right of her. She sighed and untied her tweng, letting it fall to the ground, doing the same for her top. She felt Jake’s spend from last night leak down her legs and whimpered, ears turned down. This was not how she expected her first mating to go.
___ dipped her foot into the water and after deeming it cool enough she stepped inside. Wading towards the waterfall and undoing her braids, throwing the beads towards her clothes. Hoping to find them later.
She grabbed different leaves and flowers on the way, standing under the fall and letting the water run down her body. She crushed the flowers and leaves, getting them wet and using them to clean her body, paying close attention to the dark marks on her lower back, hips, shoulders and arm.
She was sure the clan would be worried for her. Seeing her coming back alone and in such a state, or maybe they will not care, too busy getting used to their new home and leader.
She just hoped that she could go back in peace, not wanting any attention on her.
Tumblr media
“What happened to you child” Mo’at questioned as she rubbed ointments into the purple bruising of ___’s delicate skin. The Tsahìk was confused as to why Neytiri and Jake showed up much earlier in the morning, without ___.
But when the missing woman showed up, braids undone and hair wet, body splotched in patches of darkness, the Tsahìk grew angry.
“It is nothing Mo’at”
“It is clearly not nothing. You are in pain ‘evenge” she stopped her ministrations and brushed the dark locks of hair away from her daughter in laws face, tucking it behind a pointed ear “you are my child now. I will look after you, but I can not help if you refuse to tell me”
___ felt her eyes water, memories rushing back quickly. Ones she refused to acknowledge all morning and kept hidden away. The Tsahìk noticed this and cooed, smooching her head and humming in comfort. Mo’at was always like a second mother to her growing up, being close friends with Sylwanin was what brought them closer.
“I- I cannot say. I do not want to” she weeped quietly, tears rolling down her flushed cheeks, shame coating her very being. The woman coddling her nodded, she would tell her in her own time. But for now the young lady needed to be comforted, whatever happened has shaken her.
Mo’at had a fleeting suspicion it was due to her daughter and son in law. No one else in the clan noticed them come back without ___, but she did.
A Tsahìk sees all.
Once ___’s cries died down and reduced to small sniffles, Mo’at informed her of the children she cared for, they were asking for her. Instantly the young woman’s ears perked, worried they have been alone for too long. The elder chuckled and urged her to go find them, knowing it would brighten everyone’s spirits.
Tumblr media
“Tsmuke!!” a group of small Na’vi rushed up to her and collided with her legs, nuzzling into the blue skin. ___ chuckled and patted their heads, bending down to give kisses to each of their heads.
“Tsmuke! Tsmuke! Can I braid your hair?” One of the girls, Tsìkì asked her. Already thinking of the beads that she would put in, blue, green, brown, round and jagged. The little one practically bounced at the idea.
“Of course ‘evi” ___ held her hand out and got dragged to sit down by the unlit bonfire, Tsìkì gathering materials to place in her hair while the other children proceeded to chat and tell her stories of their morning.
“Tsmuke!” at the call of her title she turned around, seeing little Sray running towards them on quick feet, weaving between Na’vi legs and jumping over logs. “Zafpe says you are mated now!” the boy in mention choked on the fruit he was eating, not expecting to be brought into the limelight. ___ froze also, mind wandering off to her unfortunate night.
“Srane Sray. But we should not talk about that”
“Lumpe?”
“Because I want to hear about your new lessons”
Instantly all the children brightened up, mouths running with all the new things they have learnt with the humans. Eventually having little competitions between them on who was better at English, ___ laughed at them, all the while having her mating ritual at the back of her mind. Looming over the depts of her thoughts.
Tumblr media
“We should tell her. Neytiri” Jake put his hand on top of her shoulder, watching as his wife was sat on the edge of their home, sharpening her knife.
“Why should we? She will find out with everyone else”
“Taweyka ngeyä sa’nok lu keftxo” Jake reasoned, not wanting to face Mo’at’s wrath of anger. He agreed that ___ could listen to the news with the rest of the clan, but it was better to let her know now rather than later.
Neytiri stood up and walked towards her bow, grabbing it and prepared to go hunting, looking towards Jake. “Fine, I will let her know. For the sake of my mother” she then walked out of the pod, climbing down the tree to find her old friend.
Jake just sighed and rubbed his temples, thinking back to earlier when Mo’at stared him down like she knew something he didn’t, like he was hiding something and she was figuring him out. It was unnerving, he’s only seen her look at him once, when hometree was destroyed and they found out his plans of betrayal to the Omaticaya.
He sat down on the edge of the hut and watched as Neytiri dragged ___ away from the children surrounding her, bringing her to somewhere with privacy.
Tumblr media
“I am with child” Neytiri stated curtly, expression blank as she faced her supposed ‘mate’ “I have been since the war” she then turned her head up and looked towards their home where Jake was sat on the edge, watching them from much higher up.
“Oh, congratulations Neytiri” ___ did not know what to say, it was bound to happen sooner or later. The war was a few weeks ago and she knew they have mated not that long before that.
Soon ___ would have a child of her own child too, but it would take a few weeks to tell, the Na’vi process of pregnancy was long. It was one that she would usually be excited for but with her situation she was dreading the time it would come.
Neytiri looked towards ___’s own flat stomach, then her eyes made contact with hers “we are not going to be responsible for yours. It is not ours to care for” she turned to walk off, having enough of conversation and wanting some peace, tonight they would all have to share a hut and the warrior was not happy.
All ___ could do is whimper, it is their child, no? Even if they did not love her that does not mean they should hate an innocent being. She held her hand on top of her tummy, praying to Eywa for her future babe to be blessed with a family who cares for them, one who will love them unconditionally. Even if she herself did not get any of that love in return. Her eyes watered at the thought, she may not get any happiness but she would risk everything for her child’s.
She was unaware of Jake’s eyes still on her figure.

Characters: Jake, Neytiri, Kiri, Tuk, Neteyam, Mo’at, Lo’ak
Warnings: None :)
Summary: Just some headcanons of what the Sully’s would be like in our modern world
Taglist & Masterlist
Tumblr media
Jake
Jake would def be a military dad and sometimes be doing too much but Netyiri always drags him back to earth
Goes all out for his kids’ extracurricular activities. He’s always there with a camera or trying to tell his kids what to do
Sometimes can get hard on his kids (esp Lo’ak) bc he wants to them to not make the same mistakes he did
Runs a nonprofit to help warriors who lost their limbs and/or struggling with PTSD from the first war
A girl dad all the way, he folds so hard when it comes to Kiri and Tuk
Is best buds with Tonowari and is always trading embarrassing stories with him
Much to their children’s dismay
Sometimes they go on camping trips together
Loves to prank his children and embarrassing them lovingly
Finds it hard to talk about Tommy and Tsu’tey but wants his kids to know their uncles so he pushes through
Listens to classic rock and country, you cannot tell me otherwise
Tries (and fails) to get his kids into it
Neytiri humors him at times and would admit (not to his face tho) that some of it is good
Neytiri
She is an instructor at a really good archery school
Loves to drink tea and Kiri always buys her different kinds from her “impulsive drives”
Still does all of the kids’ hair and retwist Jake’s locs for them
Save money and she makes it into a self-care for the person
And the kids do her hair as well
Is a mama bear and not afraid to tell someone off to protect her family
Is really into sustainable to protect Pandora
She mostly listens to podcasts but has a shared playlist with Jake
Teaches her kids self-defense and takes it very seriously
Helps out with fundraising for her kids clubs and schools if needed
But not really involved in the pta unless it involves her kids directly
She respects boundaries but really hates it when her family is in distress and won’t say anything
Goes on walks and hikes with Jake
They have a weekly date night to de-stress from the kids
Neteyam
School President and captain of whatever school team he plays for. Maybe soccer or volleyball
Girls, guys, honestly anyone whoever is attracted to guys def looked Neteyam’s way twice
But all those good looks but no rizz at all
What a shame
Lo’ak said it skipped Neteyam and went straight to him
Into mangas but his taste in them are all over the place. One day reading Haikyuu the next reading The Promised Neverland
Big 180
Similarly, his tastes are the same in music. Some day into indie the next heavy rock. But if asked, his favorite is indie full stop
Would be valedictorian of his school and all the teachers love him
Saved up for his first car and would die before he lets Lo’ak get behind the wheel
Road rage driver and got it from his parents
Is a tutor who does it for money but will help someone outta the kindness of his heart if needed
Feel immense pressure to be the best at everything he does. Which leads to burnout and his family stepping in
That intervention led to lots of hugs and tears
Promises to do better on Jake’s part
Had a Hamilton the musical phase, and sometimes will go back to the songs he really likes
Kiri
Really into crystals, plants, and herbalism
Has a garden in their backyard that is extremely well-taken care of
Into activism for many groups but her main focus would be the environment
Doesn't want Pandora to turn into Earth now
Has a well-known blog dedicated to plants and helps inform ppl about the dangers of greenhouse emissions
Her fashion taste is long but breathable dresses and doc martens
Goes thrift shopping with Neytiri and that's how she met Tsireya and her mom
While their moms had a rocky start the two girls were besties since the beginning
Prolly sapphic if I'm being honest with you
The only one that Neteyam trust with his car
A vegan and convinced her family to have non-meat Mondays
Has been bullied in the past for being “weird” and now has a silver tongue. People think twice before saying something slick to her. Bc it’s either her words or her brothers’ fist
Cuts her own hair. The first time was an impulse but she loves the way it looks so she continued
Has this really calming presence around her that attracts ppl but she prefers to do her own thing.
Lo’ak
Definitely into hip-pop,rap, and r&b (I will not be convinced otherwise)
Wears a lot of street wear style clothes but those Nike techs got him in a chokehold
Always in detention for fighting someone or playing a prank that blows up in his face
Room a mess 24/7 but somehow has an order to it that only he understands
Like Neytiri or Neytam would ask him to find something and he’ll get it within 5 seconds
One of those to joke flirty with a lot of girls but if it’s someone he really like (like Tsireya for example) he get real shy around her
Owns a skateboard and is always at the skatepark. It’s how he made peace with Rotxo after their lil scuffle on the first day of school
And by proxy Ao’nung
When he wants to, he can get really deep and have personal conversations with a person
Will probably play a sport like hockey or something that’s really action based
He got that W rizz on lock, at least that’s what he claims
Into animes like Blue Lock, AOT, Chainsaw man
But can't get into the mangas for some reason
When he was younger a stray dog saved him. Convinced his parents to adopt the dog. Named him Palkan
Tuk
An iPad kid and loves Toca Boca
Also kids bop and the family hates it
She’s a picky eater
Bc the songs are just stuck in their heads
Wants to do every sport and join every club.
Settled on girl scout for the cookies and friends, but mostly cookies
Charges her family extra for boxes
Always gets her way bc everyone is wrapped around her finger
And honestly, Jake and Neytiri gave up on parenting
Definitely called Ao’nung a penis face at least once
After that Jake and Neytiri had a serious discussion around what can and cannot be said around a 7 year old w/ the older kids
Has caught Lo’ak sneaking out on multiple occasions and uses it to blackmail him
Most ppl (at least Tsireya) think he’s a loving older brother. But the fam knows something is up
Is not in charge of packing her own lunch bc it's literally all junk food
Once a month, she, Kiri, and Neytiri have a girl’s day. Each of them can choose what they do each month.
Gets the most money from Grandma when birthdays comes around
She is in love with Starbucks and mainly spend her cash money on getting drinks that sounds or looks good. If she don’t like the drink, then she gives it to Kiri to finish them
Bonus:
Mo’at
Spoils her grandchildren way too much
But there is not much Jake and Neytiri can do about it
Says she has no favorites but it is 100% Kiri
Still thinks about her dead husband and is sad that he’ll never meet his grandchildren or his son-in-law
Has seen and know it all
If the kids are having trouble they go to her for advice but she so wise in all matters
Has traveled the world more than once and would love to do it again
But is still a homebody
Really spiritual and it’s something she and Kiri bond over
For all her loving, she will give her family a harsh talking to if needed
Total badass, where you think Neytiri got it from?

💜
Badass Spider has my heart. Neither Neytiri nor Jake have the right to scold him, they never took care of him, one insults him and the other just lets that happen. Mo'at and Kiri would talk about how he distanced himself from Eywa and that it is everyone's fault. Quaritch recom is worried, because his son is the version of John Wick, what happened in these 16 years. And with the size of Spider and Quaritch I have always imagined that he sees him as a baby, not because I see that he is a teenager but that he missed it all his childhood and now he is on Pandora, when he should have been on Earth with your money and house or apartment studying, etc. And to top it off, his mouth says insults and his eyes say negligence.
This is absolutely spot on. Neytiri and Jake absolutely don’t have a right to scold him, and Max would make absolute sure of that. I also think Max would just start saying everything on his mind about this situation (“Neytiri, you are nothing but a traumatised child who refused to heal and your husband is a man child who knows nothing of how to be supportive without being a doormat”). Yes, I know he wouldn’t actually say that, and what was said is absolutely out of pocket, but Max is so protective of Spider in this that he will definitely say the most outlandish things just to put people in there place. Reminds me of how Grace used to insult Quaritch but cranked up to 11.
Mo’at and Kiri would be blaming everyone for Spider’s distance from Eywa. Mo’at hoped that she could convince Spider to return to Eywa but all the boy ever wanted to know was medical knowledge, most effective poisons and medicines that can made in the forest on short notice. She was obviously concerned by his request, but hoped that by teaching him it would allow her to get close enough to convince him to stop whatever he was thinking about doing. Unfortunately, it was too late for that.
Initially, Quaritch is excited that his son is a badass. However, upon further thought, he is more than a little concerned. How on earth did his kid get this type of training? The weapons? The armour? The more Quaritch thought about it, the more his blood boiled. Who in their right mind let’s a child become a soldier and doesn’t try and stop him?
