I got a MTM Barbie, so I could switch my HRR06's head sculpt on to it. However, I wanted to try the head sculpt on my World Box AT0203 body first. I was a bit fearful, that I would love the head sculpt on that body, because then I would have to get a second one... and I do! I love the proportions of this body better, and the color match is pretty much perfect to the pale WB body. The only issue now, is that I'll have to get another body because this one belongs to my Very Cool Miss Spetsnaz 1:6 female head sculpt. I don't mind switching heads on my larger figures/dolls to share bodies, but I don't want that for my smaller ones. More so if I want to display them (which I don't really want to ever do with my giant, heavy resin BJD). That's what I want for my tinier figures/dolls, so I need to get a second one for this head sculpt. I am not a huge fan of the MtM Barbie body, the tinier (than regular Barbie) feet bother me quite a lot. I also don't love Barbie's giant headedness in general, but I don't mind it too much on this doll, because she has a stunning face! DX

I got the MtM Barbie for a lot less than retail, so I don't mind just keeping it in-box. I don't own any clothes, nor have I sewn anything for the World Box body yet, so I just wrapped the body in pieces of PVC material I have stashed in my "maybe-i-can-use-this-somehow" pieces of scrap fabrics. I'm lazy, I could have made a quick set of undies. However, I am excited to make some clothes for this girl, once I get her a body of her own. It's going to be a pain in the gut finding one for what it originally retailed for, when tje body originally released last year. T__T;;

The head is a little large on the body, since the body is an actual 1:6 scale (action figure) body, and Barbie is not even close to those proportions, but I don't mind it too much. I do wish Barbie (as a doll line) got a smaller head, but I won't be holding my breath for that to happen, ever!

Back in April I had an unexpected shake-up with my ADHD medicine, due to my insurance deciding they weren't going to cover it anymore, which left me without meds for nearly an entire month. >_<

In an attempt to stop feeling like I was uselessly trapped in brainfog hell, I started a bunch of different projects... and like, stopped at starting lol.

0818 28Dec23: Working like a double life and the great thing about it... I really have no deadline.

Late yesterday afternoon I decided I wanted to sew a dress for my action figures. So I pulled out some material and I started to sew.

I took this basic medieval dress concept and well I did modify it slightly as the green siding I only went from the waist down instead of the armpit.

Here I am hand sewing. I also decided to do a nice neckline I would need to double layer the material. So I figured that out and turned it inside out and wow. I'm impressed with my abilities. During this photo I was sewing the side of the dress I altered to go to the waist instead of arm pits.

Then, I did a quick fit test after getting one side sewed up. It seems to work nicely. I went ahead and sewed the right side into place so all I have left is to hem the dress and the dreaded sleeves!

It seems to be a nice little project. It can be a dress on its own for now but I can also use it as an undergarment for a petticoat and bodice. So we will see.

I have to attempt some man clothing as well because the goal is to mimick my real life film making 18th century stuff with 1/6th scale storyline too. Meaning yes I am going to build a onesixth scale treadle lathe as well so I can do some stop motion with real sounds of lathe work going on. Guess we will just see how it all plays out!

I sealed the painted work on my Damtoys RE2 Remake Leon's head sculpt and glossed the eyes! I'm super happy with him, once again, more so than the factory out-of-box head I received just a few days ago. Remake Leon was my first Damtoys figure I purchased, and I was disappointed when I saw him inside his box. However, I thought, maybe it's just the plastic distortion, because I didn't unbox him then. I got this head parted out from the recently released in the USA classic version. It wasn't distortion, his paint apps were as disappointing as I had feared. I was hoping that because this is a much newer release, the classic version, they would have improved the paint apps. However, they didn't! I always complain about lack of QA and QC from Hot Toys' figures, but at least their paint apps are palatable for 300USD figures. Damtoys Leon's on the other hand... >__<;;

There's a lot I can still improve on, with my repaints, the eyes are not it. They are tiny and my hands don't cooperate. I am still learning however, so i hope to improve little by little, and have no plans to stop repainting and painting as many of my 1:6 toys as I can/I'm willing to! Even if it takes me a lifetime and a half to see any real improvement, I'll continue to try my best each time! And if I fail, I'll just keep repainting the sculpts over and over, because I am stubborn and that's the reason I got them -- to customize them to my liking, even if I suck at it! Lol! (:

I added a few repetitive shots, because my camera/lighting keeps wanting to whitewash him. He's not as pale, heck, I am not pale at all and the coloring in the first photo would probably seem as though I am. He's not tanner than I am, but greyer toned, since I want him to somewhat match his Damtoys body once I have display space for his full-set figure to be unboxed. He's pretty tanned IRL though, because his body is very tanned, or at least the parted out one I got for my OG RE4 3D artist printed head, is pretty tanned and red-toned, which I guess might be factory variances. I don't mind if it's not a perfect match, since he'll always be fully dressed once displayed. I might take some more photos of him on my OG RE4's body, or the RPD uniformed one, just for fun. DX
