Is it just me, or does the fact that Wirt looks so...peaceful as the vines wrap around him just make this whole thing even scarier? Also, the way they wrap around him makes me wonder if, when they’re first turned into the trees, they look more like themselves, and it’s over time that they loose their humanity entirely and start to just look like trees with pained faces carved into them.

I love the atmosphere of the painted grey clouds. It’s beautiful and it lends a sense of cruel inevitability to this omnipotent floaty balloon.

I have however just learnt what a potters field is, which only makes it extra sweet that this papier mache demiurge has brought back a sense of identity and community and fun to the afterlives of people who went abandoned and unrecognised in death.

I don’t know exactly how old Greg is, but he is way too young to have that sort of look on his face. A child should not be clearly coming to the decision that they need to sacrifice themselves to save their older sibling.

....Especially when you consider that a big part of why he feels this way is because of what Wirt said about how he was the reason they got lost in the first place.

Possible Future Liveblogs

I wanted to let you all see what sort of things I might liveblog in the future, and already said I would make this post, so here we are. As always you’re welcome to make suggestions. The shows I’m listing are all things I haven’t watched yet, so they would be blind liveblogs. If you thoughts on any these shows, please let me know.

I’m going to start by saying two more things, and then I’ll get into the list. The first is that I don’t plan on starting a longer running series until I’m at least halfway through ATLA, so while I might start liveblogging something else soon, it will almost definitely be something shorter. The second is that while I know many of the livebloggers on tumblr watch Steven Universe, I’ve already watched it, so it won’t be something I’ll watch on this blog. However, I won’t rule out liveblogging Steven Universe Future when it airs. That out of the way, here’s the list of things I might liveblog in the future, which is sure to only grow longer.

New Journey in Progress, Hopefully can keep up

So... like 2 years and a half ago when I was just getting into RWBY I saw everyone on the interwebz loosing it over a pilot from Cartoon Network and because “sure, why not?” I actually liveblogged said pilot at the time. Overall the idea is inventive, the mystery exciting and while it took a bit to click for me, this show seems fun to follow so I called dibs on liveblogging it when the time came... CHOO CHOO MOTHERFUCKERS!

What do I know? Well what I got from the pilot: Cutie and smart redhead is trapped in a train that is infinite and each wagon can be either a puzzle, a room full of fart or even a flippin Corgi dimension... she has a number in her hand and it moved because... *shrug*. She is help by Wheatley 1 and Wheatley 2 (not real names obviously, but the Portal vibe is there... althought perhaps more with the depressed robot from Hitchhiker’s Gudie to the Galaxy? we will see) and I suposse the Corgi king will join them later...

There is a trailer floating around but, despite me being not as spoiler forbidding as I probably should, I wanna keep as unspoiled as possible.

The series was supossed to start with a week long bomb on August 5th but the HYPE train of comic con apparently brought the first episode early so... sure why not hop in already.
