LE PAPE FRANÇOIS - UN REBELLE

S’il y a un trait de personnalité qui décrit bien le Pape François, c’est celui de rebelle.

Dans un sens, il me fait penser à Donald Trump et on dit qu'il dérange autant la tradition du Vatican que Trump dérange la gauche politique des États-Unis.

Le Pape François, de son vrai nom: Jorge Mario Bergoglio, n'a jamais été le pape de l'unanimité au sein de son église.

Il a même été expulsé de son Ordre des Jésuites...

Sa visite au Canada est captivante, mais selon moi, elle ne changera en rien à l'histoire du Canada...

Le Pape François est un grand politicien même s’il prétend le contraire et ses biographies le démontrent bien. Il est un grand stratège!

Personnellement j'aime bien son côté rebelle et j'ai d'ailleurs fait l'acquisition, il y a quelques années, d'une copie de sa montre, une Swatch, le modèle le plus économique de la marque (Once Again).

J'aime dire à mes amis que j'ai la montre du Pape...

Reflective Tumblr Blog post-Week 4

Q1. Which leadership area are you naturally drawn to? Why? How might you use one of your strengths to be a more effective leader in this area?

A1. I am naturally drawn to the leadership communication. The reason I feel more inclined towards it is because communication is a method of putting ones point across to others. When looked from the leadership point of view, this communication becomes more efficient as the leaders have oratory skills and they know how to put their thoughts across with less words and more effectiveness.

In context of Human Resource Management, the message imparted in the communication process gets tweaked/changed when received at the other end. This is due to distortion in communication. On the contrary, this does not hold true in the perspective of a leader. As a true leader has a clear vision of thought and also possesses the skill to communicate well, therefore, there is no distortion of the message and the receiver(s) of the same comprehend the exact essence of the message, basically they are all on the same page.

As per Gallup’s Assessment, one of the leadership strengths that I possess is Command. This strength helps me to take the charge and lead the way. However, one can only lead if they communicate their vision effectively to the followers. I already practice communication daily to make myself even better and this in return increases my commanding skills. For me communication is a subset of command. As effective communication is the key to commanding. I am polishing my commanding skills daily as we progress which gives me the capability to also improve on my communication.

Q2. Which leadership area do you not really understand. What is it that you don’t understand specifically? Do some online research and find an answer to what you don’t understand.

A2. The leadership area which I am not confident about is Global Leadership. The thing that really confuses me is the question that how one person sitting in one country can lead people in other parts of the world? When dealing with people from other countries, it creates barriers such as cultural barriers, different ethnic thoughts, indigenous practices and lack of technology,etc.

Despite different barriers, there are plenty of world leaders that I found on the internet. Amongst this list the number one world leader is Respected Pope Francis. Some of his famous acts include washing the feet of a female Muslim prisoner, his non judgemental talk about his verdict for the gay community,etc. (Citation-www.fortune.com).

After my online research, I found that his selfless acts towards global issues made him the one of the greatest global leaders of all time. Things like restoring diplomatic relations between the United States and Cuba, supporting actions on climate change (Citation-en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Francis) and a plethora of his other positive actions which look upon the whole world as one country and mankind its citizens. The mist regarding this confusion seems to be fading upon studying more about him. It looks evident that global leaders are the people who work towards humanity unlike other leaders who only work for their country. These global leaders are humanitarians and believe in the care and nourishment of all the people without bothering about their race, colour and ethnicity.
