A canon-divergence stories where Lan Xichen and Lan Wangji go to Yiling to search out the help of the Yiling Laozu - Jiang Yanli. Previously, she's been part of the Sunshot Campaign already, but withdrew suspiciously after Wei Wuxian's death and has hidden herself in the Burial Mounds with the Dafan Wens since then... I really enjoyed this story, a super creative canon-divergence! I'm usually not one for stories where someone else is the Yiling Laozu, but this one had me hooked from start to finish. Excerpt: "His puppets are nothing to us," Jiang Yanli stated dismissively, forcibly reminding him of the terrible power of her seal. Where it came from, or how she came to possess it, were subjects of greater speculation than any of the choicest morsels of intelligence gleaned from across the battlefield. How had a young lady with poor cultivation and little training gained the knowledge and skill to use such a tool? Even beholding her now, Lan Xichen could find no insight. Time to give up on the facade of equality. "Please, Lady Jiang. We are facing our most desperate hour." The intelligence Meng Yao fed him from Nightless City had dried up, and while he feared for the other man, he was also realistic that the tenuous advantage the information had provided was all that had kept them alive to this point. "I am authorized to make generous arrangements to convince you to return. "The other Sect Leaders have agreed that, should you be willing to join us, we will honour your claim to the Burial Mounds, and offer clemency to all those who reside within." Mingjue had been apoplectic with rage at the proposal, and it had taken every soft word Lan Xichen and Nie Huaisang could muster to calm him. "Sect Leader Jin himself has offered to reinstate your engagement to his son—" "How dare he," Jiang Yanli snapped, hard rage colouring her voice with promises of violence. "He seeks to place me under the control of the Jin?"

The Biden admiration’s hopes of a Gaza ceasefire before the beginning of Ramadan this weekend appear to have been dashed as terrorist group Hamas continues to make new demands, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

The NYT article discloses that “in recent days, Hamas has backed away from the proposed agreement and made demands that Israel refuses to meet.” The terror group’s demands include freeing more terrorists from Israeli prisons, a permanent truce, and the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza.

Jerusalem had agreed to a temporary ceasefire and the release of hundreds of convicted terrorists in exchange for captive Israeli women, elderly, and children, but Hamas issued fresh demands, Israeli media reports suggest. “Israeli officials reportedly believed the first phase was agreed upon, for a temporary ceasefire along with the return of 40 hostages for the release of hundreds of Palestinian security prisoners, but the terrorist organization Hamas suddenly increased its demands,” the Israeli TV channel i24NEWS reported.

Hamas’s demands keep rising while the terrorist group refuses to provide the names of the hostages who are still alive after five months of captivity. Estimated 134 Israeli hostages, including women and children, are believed to be in Gaza, many of them being subjected to repeated rape and torture, a recently released United Nations report shows.

The New York Times reported:

Talks between Israel and Hamas over the release of dozens of Israeli hostages held in Gaza have stalled, dimming hopes that a deal could be reached before Ramadan begins in a few days, according to several people briefed on the conversations. Negotiators had been discussing a proposal for an initial six-week cease-fire during which Hamas would release about 40 people — including women, elderly and ill hostages, and five female Israeli soldiers — for a substantial number of Palestinian prisoners. The discussions included terms for releasing at least 15 prisoners convicted of serious acts of terrorism who would be exchanged for the female soldiers. The terms also said Israel would release hundreds of other detainees or prisoners, at an average of 10 Palestinians for every Israeli civilian freed, officials said. American officials had said that they hoped to reach an agreement to release some hostages and put in place a temporary pause in fighting before Ramadan, which is expected to start this Sunday. President Biden expressed confidence last week that a deal was within reach. But in recent days, Hamas has backed away from the proposed agreement and made demands that Israel refuses to meet, according to officials briefed on the talks. The negotiations had been taking place in Doha, Qatar, before they moved to Cairo in recent days. (…)

Ya'll.. Did I just make a deal with a god?

So, for context, it has been really cloudy this week, which lead me to insulting Apollo for not coming out, so he punished me for it. By giving me the fattest nose-blockage and headaches. Today though, I made a deal. As I was biking home, cloudy af and the wind slapping me like the most holy mothers belt, I whispered to myself..

"Hey, soo... Apollo, buddy. God of the sun and music.. Can you, like, turn the sky to lights mode rq? Look, I'm really sorry, you're COOL. "

I didn't get a reply for a bit, until I got to a shop to get my dialy addiction (vanilla/cherry coke), I got an idea.

"Hey, 'Pollo, how about this.. If you come out when I' m back and you light up, I'm never gonna insult you again, in exchange, you light up more often."

As I set that statement, I came back and it was brighter than the whole week. Guess we got an agreement.
