Artbook translation: Pergue, Mr. Pigeon, and Le Mime

Early concpet - Evil organization* Pergue

Hawkmoth’s early model, Papillon, is the head of the evil organization Pergue. Papillon’s real name is Richard Sphinx and has insight into the future with the help of the kwami Null’s supernatural power.

He has enormous wealth and eloquence, and is obsessed with wealth and a desire of domination to forget the pain of his missing wife.

Papillon’s kwami Null is planning to change the work back to the state of zero, and Tikki and Plagg each got trapped in the earrings and ring due to Null.

Unlike Hawkmoth, who works alone currently, Papillon works as an organization and is with his capable secretary, Pokerface. Pokerface’s real name is ‘Adoni Duther’**.

She has the power to make every emotion from people of the world disappear. Pokerface loves Papillon, but understands it is an emotion unachievable, and serves as Papillon’s loyal secretary.

Mr. Pigeon

An ornithologist who believes pigeons are the smartest. He invents various weapons that can control pigeons, and the most powerful weapon Mr. Pigeon invented is a weapon that corrode objects with pigeon poo. He has the power of the kwami Becil***, who represents foolishness.

Le Mime

Every performance art the mime artist Le Mime does can turn into a real event. For example, if Le Mime pretends to hold a hammer, someone will really get hit by a hammer. With the help of Mimic, the kwami with the ability of miming, he continues committing crimes.

SABINE: MINI MENACE ERA:

ML AU PT.2

Tikki was passed down to Sabine from her grandfather who raised her, entrusting her with the earrings when she was 17. Tikki became a constant companion to her, and Sabine took up the mantle of Ladybug after her grandfather was killed in a robbery in his shop. Her late father’s best friend, Wang Fu, served as her mentor as he was the holder of Wayzz. Fu was also a student and close friend of her grandfather and took over his shop after his passing.

Fighting crime around the city, Sabine’s ladybug became known as “Mini Menace” and was seen as the city’s unseen protector- working mainly at night. She was joined soon after by the Chat Noir called “Stray”, and later the Fox holder “Vulpus”, and occasionally the Bee and Butterfly holders, “Hive” and “Adonis”.

Adonis: Gabriel Agreste

The group became best known for dealing with a rising crime lord named Richard Sphinx who had been behind the attack on Sabine’s grandfather’s shop as well as the influx of organized attacks the miraculous holders worked to stop. They fought Richard’s right hand men the most, Mr. Pigeon and Mime who did most of his dirty work, but worked together to take down Richard Sphinx once and for all.

What the heroes didn’t know was that the faerie Null had been behind Sphinx’s successes as well as allowing him and his right hand men powers beyond normal humans. After seeing what the holders were capable of though, Null had kept his eyes on them.

As the years went on, Adonis and Hive were rarely seen around the city anymore, though Mini Menace, Stray, and Vulpus were still quite active. The three friends had decided to finally reveal their identities to each other, though were interrupted by an attack on Paris unlike one they’ve ever known.

Facing what looked like Adonis, the enemy seemed disoriented and reckless- as well as talking phrases that didn’t make sense, and crying. After talking him down didn’t work, the four fought until his miraculous brooch had cracked, forcing him to flee.

In the battle, Sabine had gotten badly injured. Even after her physical recovery, she had tremors and panic attacks, forcing her to retire from being ladybug. The trio disbanded without ever revealing their identities to each other. Though Stray could still be seen in the following years on occasion.

In truth, Null had partially fused himself with Nooroo and forced Gabriel to transform after the man had heard how his wife's health was declining. Null tested using Nooroo’s powers, though was not coordinated as Gabriel fought against Null’s control even as Null offered him Emilie’s good health if he managed to defeat the other holders and take the ladybug and black cat miraculous.

Gabriel forced Null to stop, saying he wouldn’t hurt innocents for Null’s gain. That he didn’t want Null’s “help” and that he just wanted to spend time with his family. Null unfused with Nooroo, but told Gabriel that he’ll be there when he decides to accept his offer.

It’s not until years later when Emilie falls into a coma that Nooroo, hating to see his holder so broken and hurt, asks Gabriel if he remembers Null’s offer and the possibility of accepting it. Gabriel brings up the points of the broken miraculous, the facts that Null has ulterior motives, hurting innocents etc; but Nooroo says that they can use Null instead of the other way around. Play the part of getting the miraculous, but as soon as they learn how to cure Emilie, they’ll figure a way to trap him just like Null trapped them all those years ago.

After planning, the two called for Null to tell him they accepted his proposal. The fae then fused together, and Hawkmoth was reluctantly created.

Richard Sphinx is, essentially, PV Hawkmoth.

According to the Artbook, he had an vision of the future, with the help of the fairy Null. Null plans to reset the world to 0, which is why Tikki and Plagg are stuck in the earrings and ring. Richard is extremely wealthy, and is obsessed with wealth and a desire for domination, to forget about his missing wife.

Who is Felix Sphinx?

According to the Artbook, Richard and Felix were unrelated. However, some people take the 3D concept of "Hawkmoth is Chat Noir's father" and apply it to pre-canon, which results in Felix Agreste being renamed Felix Sphinx.

What are the differences between Felix Agreste and Felix Sphinx?

There's not many, actually! They're essentially the same character but with different surnames. The only real difference is that Felix Sphinx is Richard Sphinx's son and Felix Agreste is Gabriel Agreste's son.

It says Adrien/Felix had a bad leg due to an accident (doesn't specify what it was), but imagine if it was a genetic chronic illness instead though, and that was the reason his mother's life was cut short. Then when he starts showing symptoms as well, his father becomes overprotective and forbids him from physical activities.

That way they could even have opposite motivations: Adrien/Felix wants to find a way to cure the illness so no one else would have to be affected by it, while Richard is only obsessed with bringing his wife back and doesn't care about hurting people.

Marinette started into the room. Her best friend, Felix Sphinx, sat beside his father with a plate of salad. Marinette didn’t understand it. After all those years of torture and hatred, how could Felix still love that man… that monster. But he did. Somehow, in some way, he did. 

“Father, please… you have to eat something.” Felix begged, nudging the plate closer to his father. When Richard replied, there was no emotion in his tone. No anger. No fury. Nothing. Like he was reading from a book. 

“I do not want any food.” The man said. He was no more than an empty shell. Marinette sighed as she watched the hope die in Felix’s eyes. She felt bad for him. If her dad acted like that, she would’ve hated it. But with Richard Sphinx, she couldn’t help but feel like he deserved that. And she hated herself for feeling like that. 

“Father, please…” Felix repeated. He paused. Defeated, he stood and walked away, joining Marinette outside.

“Fe…” Felix ignored Marinette and walked past her, and she noticed his shoulders shaking gently as he left. Just another reason to hate that feeling that Richard was in his rightful place.

“Fe, I’m home!” She called, slipping her keys onto the hook. There was a light crash and Felix limped into view, his leg clearly bothering him again from when Papillion broke it. Not this again. Marinette thought.

“Mari!” Felix cried, a manic smile spread across his lips. His eyes were wide, red from crying, yet he smiled. His expression looked like it was reeled out of a horror movie. “I made you cookies!” His sleepy tone indicated his exhaustion is, along with his eye bags. Marinette looked down at the smoldering, charcoal black, unidentifiable objects on the baking sheet.

“Kitty…” She whispered, taking a step towards him. He was shaking ever so lightly. “I think we should take a minute, okay? Just take a break. It’s okay, honey.” She soothed.

“M-m-M’lady?” He murmured as she wrapped him in her arms. Guiding him to the couch she snuggled up close with him. 

“You okay little cat?” She asked as he pushed his face into her hair and neck. “Kitten?” He started shaking and a moment later, Marinette felt his tears on her shirt collar. “Kitty, don’t take it personally. What he did. Who he’s become. It’s not your fault.”

“But I could’ve stopped.” His shaky voice whispered. “I COULD’VE STOPPED IT… I COULD’VE HELPED HIM…” Felix sobbed.

“Baby…” Mari whispered, “no one could’ve helped him. Okay? It’s not on you. I love you. I really do.” 

Felix looked up at her, his manic expression gone, his teary eyes meeting hers. “I don’t know what that means.” He said. Mari’s heart sunk.

“It means you’re my kitty. It means I will protect you. It means we’re a real family.” She replied, kissing his forehead. Felix smiled softly and leaned against her again. 

“Family.” He whispered.

So, my sister (Ris @purrfectlypunny) showed me this idea about post-null Richard that Digit @arcadeology had and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I hope you like it!

WAS Locations

WAS is the Wolves Among Sheep AU

The Enclosure - Run by none other than Richard Sphinx, the Enclosure has a very monochrome color scheme, and is filled with corrupted individuals running the Enclosure for power and authority. It is surrounded by a massive wall that is believed to be impenetrable from both sides, making escape or break-ins near impossible. Civilians are surveilled in everything they do, and those who are labeled as different via mutations are taken to the Centre to be tested and exploited. 

The Centre - The Centre is headed by Tomoe Tsurugi, head scientist and engineer in the Enclosure. It is a scientist experimentation center, where they take mutated individuals and find ways to either make their abilities useful or subdue them by forceful removal. Claude is experimented on there, Felix used to be before he escaped.

The Academy - The Academy is directed by Xavier Ramier, one of the smartest (if not zaniest) individuals in the Enclosure. There, Enclosure residents send their children to learn about the history of the Enclosure and the agenda of perfection in the Enclosure. There, students are ‘programmed’ into being loyal only to the interest of the Enclosure and taught that it is encouraged to report those who are hiding a mutation the Enclosure can exploit.

The Haven - The Haven was started by siblings Plagg and Tikki Miraculeux as a refuge for other mutants and refugees from the Enclosure. It’s protected by state-of-the-art technology designed by Kagami Tsurugi that allows it to stay out of visibility despite its massive size. It provides education, food, and shelter to those who decide to stay; though it also serves as a base for discreet missions to the Enclosure to restock food and water, rescue other mutants and Enclosure enemies, and set up spies within the Enclosure walls.

The Tunnels - The Tunnels are the only way in or out of the Enclosure without surveillance. It was devised by Plagg Miraculeux, who found a way out of the Enclosure with his sister via the sewer system. It is not an easy trek to get through, but with the right strategy and knowledge, a few Haven inhabitants make it through safely to restock or complete reconnaissance missions.
