Back in ye olde small phone days, I had this little pouch that clipped to my backpack strap and it was so great - my phone and transit card (and mini Maglite, chapstick, earphones etc) were right there! No having to dig them out of my pack! But all joy is fleeting and when I upgraded my phone, it didn't fit. No more convenient pouch.
Except fast forward to now, in possession of both loom and sewing machine, and it hit me that I could just...make one that did fit. So I did!
I wove the cloth on the rigid heddle out of 4ply merino/silk and the bands on the inkle loom out of 8/4 cotton, grabbed some quilting cotton for the lining, and sewed them all up into a little zippered pouch.
A band runs up the back with a clip that clips to the D-ring, and I sewed velcro to the side bands to wrap around the strap and secure it in place. It holds my phone and everything else, right where I need them, and I'm so chuffed!

FELLAS IS IT GAY TO,
hilariously I actually initially won against Feducci, and went back to find out what happens when you lose. IT TOOK SIX TRIES (apparently sam REALLY didn't want to permadie for some reason, idk) which I am headcanoning as Samuel just going back over and over again because WHY DIDNT KILLING HIM WORK???? But this means that the big shock for me on actually finally losing was that Feducci makes 0 effort to justify the fact that he didn't permakill you. He lances you and you're immediately dead and he absolutely COULDVE just hacked u to pieces and he just???? didn't I guess????? Feducci what r u DOING
Anyway we all had a great time thinking about how very gay it is to impale a guy with an entire lance and pin him to a tree and then decide not to permanently murder him.
I had been planning to do more of the Persuasive route next; I'm sure Sam will be So Normal in high society after this.
(I'm having fun discovering Fallen London myself with friends, no info/explanations/future knowledge in reblogs, please! AND OMG THANK U TO EVERYONE WHO LEFT SO MUCH LOVE ON MY LAST SKETCH... YOU ARE ALL A DELIGHT, i had no idea there were so many feducci-likers LMAO)

(WIP) All pinned up and ready to sew!
Remember that ~secret~ project I was teasing? Well, here it is!
I decided to make this iconic jacket from one of my favorite horror movies, the 1987 vampire flick "The Lost Boys"! The jacket is worn by one of the titular vampires, Marko. This is my first time making something from a live action piece of media, so I spent weeks hunting down the vintage tapestries and patches from the movie to be as accurate as possible. This is still a WIP; once the tapestries have been affixed to the jacket, I'll start on the patches!
