#Shadow Golduck
pokemon-ash-aus · 2 years
Note
I don't know if this is a spoiler but would Shadow Mew feel bad for the things they did after being purified or it would take a while for they to accept what they did was wrong (like at first they try to tell themselves that what they did was necessary but with time they accept that it was wrong)
Not a spoiler
When Mew eventually gets back the ability to feel more than just anger and sadness, they need to relearn basic kindness and guilt.
It's not one to one, but they'd never truly feel bad for what they did either.
They understand it was morally evil to humans, but thats just water off a Golduck. Its not something pokemon abide by

So I’m going to battle the Elite Four later and I just realized I went this long without mentioning what my team is! Here it is:
Louis the Skeledirge: The starter, obviously! As I said before, I named him after the alligator from The Princess and the Frog. As with all starters, he’s the team leader. Relaxed nature and highly curious. Current moveset is Torch Song, Shadow Ball, Thunder Fang and Flamethrower. He’s holding the Choice Scarf.
Babe the Oinkologne: The tutorial catch. Named after the titular pig from the movie Babe. Doesn’t get to see battle much, but he’s a valued member of the team nonetheless. Sassy nature and somewhat stubborn. Current moveset is Trailblaze, Uproar, Body Slam and Headbutt. He’s holding the Leftovers.
Gerald the Spidops: Did not expect to love him as much as I do. He’s currently our highest level Pokemon PURELY by accident. Very cool, though still a bit frail. Modest nature and quick tempered. Current moveset is Bug Buzz, Skitter Smack, Giga Drain and X-Scissor. He’s holding the Quick Claw.
Ferdinand the Golduck: As much as I love Psyduck, I’d never used one in a Pokemon game until now. Ferdinand is also named after a character from Babe, specifically the duck who was scared of becoming Christmas dinner. The special attack specialist. Quiet nature and mischievous. Current moveset is Surf, Psychic, Ice Beam and Aqua Tail. He’s holding the Wise Glasses.
Crossgills the Clodsire: Big round boy who also acts as our powerhouse against Electric and Fairy-types. Best friends with everyone on the team. Hardy nature and somewhat stubborn. Current moveset is Earthquake, Sludge Wave, Rock Slide and Poison Jab. He’s holding the Black Sludge.
Flamiga the Flamigo: The face of destruction. Ruthlessly mows down every living thing in her path because she’s literally too stupid to know what the word “mercy” means. Her Scrappy ability means that even Ghost-types cannot escape her deadly grasp. Quiet nature and alert to sounds. Current moveset is Air Slash, Close Combat, Air Cutter and Low Kick. She’s holding the Scope Lens.
And of course, Koraidon. He can’t battle yet, but he’s our bike and he loves sandwiches!
What do y’all think? :3

Misty and her Pokemon team
Misty is one of Ash's first traveling companions, the Gym Leader of Cerulean City, and the youngest sister of the Three Sensational Sisters: Lilly, Violet, and Daisy. She dreams on becoming the world's best Water Master.
Misty's Pokemon Starmie - One of Misty's Pokemon choice
Golduck - Once was a cowardly absent-minded show-off. It once evolved after Misty got into a crisis which him as a Psyduck wasn't enough. Although, he does flirt with girls, both Pokemon and humans. ...Sounds familiar?
Togetic - Hatched as a Togepi and sees Misty as a mother, it was then raised by her, until Misty realizes she has to let Togepi fight instead of coddling it. Unlike in the canon anime, Misty's Togepi evolved into a Togetic earlier and gets to fight, and was never released.
Vaporeon - A new Pokemon in Brotherhood. Given as an Eevee by Gary, after coming to understand what is mean to live under the shadows of their older siblings.
Quagsire - A new Pokemon in Brotherhood, where Misty caught it as a Wooper, and it was affectionate towards her and her Pokemon.
Gyarados - A once disobedient Pokemon that Misty finally tamed and it rescued her from the Pokemon Brothers' Tentacruels.

even MORE shinis
so, i haven't been posting my shinies for the last bit, but it seems like after the nightmare of Pretzel things have totally turned around for me and i've been getting shinies left and right, many totally full-odds.
Ligeia the Espathra (originally Flittle) -- Outbreak hunted, caught 1/5/2023. Became a full member of my team and helped Amanita become a Champion. Good going, Ligeia.
Tumblr media
Yunaka the Froslass -- Outbreak hunted, caught 1/5/2023. Became a full member of my team and helped Amanita become a Champion too. Somehow has, like, 50 more Attack than Special Attack. What's the deal with that.
Tumblr media
Allergy the Jumpluff (originally Hoppip) -- Randomly appeared, full-odds on 01/07/2023. Originally named "The Grink," but then he stopped being green. Pensive face.
Tumblr media
Javid the Gumshoos (originally Yungoos) -- Randomly appeared, full-odds on 01/10/2023. Looks kinda funny.
Tumblr media
Wigan the Drednaw (originally Chewtle) -- Randomly appeared, full-odds on 01/10/2023, literally 10 minutes after catching Javid.
Tumblr media
Anthracite the Coalossal (originally Carkol) -- Randomly appeared, full-odds on 01/11/2023. Was in shadow so I didn't notice at first. Glad I caught the slight color difference.
Tumblr media
Cynthia the Rookidee -- ANOTHER random shiny Rookidee, full-odds on 01/12/2023. Appeared while I was searching for...
Tumblr media
Segfault the Rotom -- Outbreak hunted on 01/12/2023. Did you know that shiny Rotom don't have the color of their electric energy or whatever change when they change forms? Weird detail.
Tumblr media
Lizbet the Cyclizar -- Outbreak hunted on 01/13/2023. I've been wanting this shiny since I first saw it, so I'm glad an outbreak of Cyclizar appeared.
Tumblr media
Lone Pine the Snover -- Randomly appeared less than an hour after catching Lizbet, on 01/13/2023. Lost to time when the game crashed before I saved.
Tumblr media
Kool-Aid the Golduck -- Randomly appeared less than an hour after losing Lone Pine, on 01/13/2023. Probably just a regular Golduck that got into the Kool-Aid.
Tumblr media
Sodey the Nacli -- Randomly appeared less than 15 minutes after catching Kool-Aid, on 01/13/2023. What on earth.
Tumblr media
Aurelia the Swablu -- Randomly appeared less than 15 minutes after catching Sodey, on 01/13/2023. I truly don't know what happened.
Tumblr media
I don't know what's going on!!! Either I just have a really keen eye and I'm constantly looking out, or I've just had ridiculous luck for some ungodly reason.

and now heres a list of every g1 pokemon and/or evo lines typing (and design. maybe) id change. if it isnt on here its fine as is.
(keep in mind im pretending ground-type doesnt exist, separating flying-type into bird-type and wind-type, and adding cosmic-type. (also maybe fish type. cuz its funny.))
(and (almost) every normal/flying will be only bird-type, and (almost) every ground-type will be rock-type)
(also assume every pokemon that CAN fly is immune to grounded moves (earthquake, surf, etc)
bulbasaur line - change from grass/poison to just grass-type
charzard - change to just fire-type and remove the wings. just make it a big lizard. maybe make the fire on the tail bigger. maybe when it uses something like flamethrower it places the tip of it's tail in front of it's mouth, similar to putting a lit lighter in front of an aerosol can and spraying flames. yknow?
blastoice - no type change just. remove the big cannons. make a separate 'turtle tank' pokemon. make it resemble wartortle more, make it's tail resemble a large wave rising behind it. (that way, each of the kanto starter's 'tails' would represent their element. venusaur's flower, charz's torch tail, blastoice's big wave tail.)
pidgey line - bird+wind type. maybe just pidgey and pidgeotto be bird-type, then add the wind-type when they evolve into pidgeot.
sandshrew line - rock-type. sandslash's spikes are changed to resemble stalagmites. kinda.
nidoran line - maybe start out as normal-type and then become normal/poison when it evolves.
clefairy line - fairy/cosmic-type. make it resemble a rabbit more, to reference the whole 'moon rabbit' thing. OR maybe remove the 'fairy' elements and just make it a normal/cosmic-type.
ninetails - make fire/ghost-type.
zubat line - make 'em just dark-type. i know bats have rabies n' diseases n' stuff but i dont think that justifies a poison-type. maybe make golbat and crobat separate evos from zubat? then golbat could be dark-poison and be all rabies-y, and crobat could be dark-wind. idk.
meowth and persian - normal-type as meowth, normal/dark-type as persian. yeah i know alolan persian is already dark type.
psyduck and golduck - bird-type as psyduck, then bird/psychic-type as golduck
mankey line - normal (mankey), normal-fighting (primeape), fighting-ghost (annihilape)
poliwag line - no type change, instead design changes. poliwag stays the same (maybe no legs like real tadpoles) poliwhirl becomes slightly greener. poliwrath is entirely green and resembles an actual frog. politoed is made a separate pokemon entirely.
bellsprout line - maybe just make grass-type. they gain an ability called 'flycatcher', where bug type moves deal no damage
ponyta line - maybe make ponyta have a smokey mane + tail instead of a firey one, to make it stand out from rapidash more so. also make a regional variant of both that are wind-type, maybe rapidash wind-electric type. cuz cool pegasus > boring pink unicorn.
slowpoke line - remove the psychic typing from each evo variant except for slowking. make the slowbro with a gun a water/poison. maybe give them all an ability called 'slow uptake' where if they reach 0 hp, they still use the attack they were going to use before they faint.
farfetchd line - bird/normal-type. galar variant and it's evo become bird/fighting-type.
duduo line - just bird-type. they aren't immune to grounded moves just cuz their bird-type.
grimer line - no type change for kanto variant, but make it a sp. attacker instead of a physical one, so it can actually use sludge bomb/wave effectively. maybe make alola variant poison/rock-type. never seemed like a 'dark' pokemon to me, plus its based on oil which comes from rocks i think.
shellder line - water/steel-type.
gastly line - ok so i would completely redesign this whole line. id make gastly it's own separate pokemon that would stay poison/ghost.
the line would start out with a ghost-type pokemon that is entirely a shadow. when it evolves, it would become half-solid, slowly 'stepping out' of the wall/floor it's shadow is occupying. the final evo would be ghost/dark-type, and be able to materialize completely AND hide in shadows.
onyx line - onyx would be rock/dragon, steelix would be steel/dragon. cuz they're both earth wyrms. also onyx gets a huge stat boost because GOD its stats are pathetic. steelix a bit too.
hypno - psychic/dark-type. maybe make it look more like a tapir, less of the whole 'vulture man' thing going on.
krabby line - water/fighting-type, maybe. it's fighting-type moves would mainly involve brute strength as opposed to punching or finesse; moves like hammer arm and superpower.
voltorb line - fine as is i think, maybe make them more physical attackers than sp. atk, so they can properly use explosion. the hisui variants should have been grass/fire-types.
eggxecute line - remove the psychic-typing,. alola one can stay grass/dragon-type.
cubone line - rock (cubone) rock/fighting (marowak). all 'bone' based moves (aside from shadow bone) are rock-type. alola marowak can stay the same but theres gotta be a alola cubone that is just fire-type thats a little fella with a bone torch. itd be cute.
koffing line - poison/wind-type maybe. galar weezing either becomes a steel/poison-type (it should have been that in the first place.) or becomes a fairy/wind-type with a completely different design (along with koffing) - theres a good one on here somewhere.
rhyhorn line - steel-type.
blissey - normal/fairy-type.
kangaskhan - normal/fighting-type. also maybe make it have a pre-evo thats just normal-type, n' remove the baby from the pouch. just so it makes a BIT more sense than one hatching from an egg with a full-grown baby in it's pouch.
staryu line - water/cosmic-type.
electivire - electric/fighting-type.
magmortar - fire/steel-type. i made a post in the past talking about how id redesign it (removing the arm cannons, have the mouth be the 'cannon', make it resemble both a cauldron and a mortar/cannon)
pinsir - it always bugged (lol) me that pinsir learned more fighting-type moves than heracross, but isn't the fighting-type. heracross is. make pinsir bug/fighting-type. its literally a bug wrestler. also maybe change it to look a bit more like a stag beetle.
gyarados - water/dragon-type as it SHOULDA BEEN IN THE FIRST PLACE.
lapras - just water-type. maybe normal/water-type? idk.
ditto - is perfect.
eevee - made a post earlier talkin' about it.
porygon-z - normal/cosmic-type.
fossil pkmn - once again made a post talking about it earlier. certainly not fuckin' rock-type.
the elemental birds - their respective element + bird-type. so no real change, really. (maybe make zapdos the uh. third one. yknow, the suicune, the registeel, the most interesting of the trio. i guess you'd have to change the name to zaptres, then though.)
dragonite - dragon/wind-type. maybe make its pre-evos dragon/water? idk.
mew - change it and every 100/100/100/100/100/100 mythical pokemon's stats to be more unique and interesting. also make it more gross and fetus-y. like it's original sprite. also maybe give it the illusion ability. for funsies.

Once my brother and I had beaten Pokemon Emerald and Pokemon Gold/Silver together, we felt as though we were running out of pokemon games to play together. We both wanted to stick to GBC and GBA, so we decided to turn to ROM hacks. Starting with a hack of FireRed: Rocket Edition! As the name of the hack and my drawing imply, it’s a hack where you get to play as Team Rocket, and it was tons of fun!
This was our fastest beaten game, with us starting April 24th, 2020, and finishing just yesterday, May 4th, 2020. Is that a bad thing? Nah, just goes to show how much extra free time we’ve had... And hey, if y’all have any pokemon ROM hack suggestions for us to try next, feel free to let me know!
Now, with all that said, off to the  team stats and general gameplay info under the cut:
Team Citrine, in the order they were caught/stolen (Name, Species, Sex, Moveset):
“Rhubarb”, Vileplume, ♂,  Teeter Dance - Stun Spore - Giga Drain - Acid
“Sled Fast”, Slowbro, ♂,  Slack Off - Blizzard - Psychic - Surf
“Birdra”, Dodrio, ♂,  Quick Attack - Drill Peck - Fly - Pursuit
“Bomb”, Magneton, ⚲,  Discharge - Mirror Shot - Tri Attack - Thunder Wave
“Red Baron”, Dugtrio, ♂,  Sucker Punch - Earthquake - Aerial Ace - Rock Slide
“Klromph”, Muk, ♂,  Shadow Sneak - Gunk Shot - Brick Break - Fire Blast
Team Nelvana, in the order they were caught/stolen (Name, Species, Sex, Moveset):
“Pestilence”, Raticate, ♀, Hyper Fang - Crunch - Quick Attack - Swords Dance
“Weed”, Victreebel, ♂, Leaf Blade - Acid - Growth - Knock Off
“Bro”, Nidoking, ♂, Poison Tail - Rock Slide - Earth Power - Brick Break
“Snap”, Golduck, ♂, Blizzard - Surf - Psychic - Calm Mind
“Dula”, Farfetch’d, ♀, Swords Dance - Fly - Slash - Leaf Blade
“Siccem”, Arcanine, ♂, Flamethrower - Thunder Fang - Crunch - ExtremeSpeed
General Playthrough Notes (Spoilers for Rocket Edition):
Beating the game was around 14 hours each? This is a fairly short hack, but also really well balanced.
Going in to the league itself, my entire party was level 51 except Siccem, and Citrine’s entire party was level 52.
For some notable pokemon theft (you steal pokemon when you’re in Team Rocket): I stole Lance’s aerodactyl (because it was the rarest in the bunch, hardest to “replace” in Lance’s words) while Citrine stole his kingdra, and we both stole Red’s charizard and Oak’s venesaur.
Our nicknaming style here was to just,, nickname our pokemon based on the first thing we think of when obtaining them. It turned out pretty fun, and I at least feel that it fits the Rocket style in a way.
Citrine changed his team a whole lot throughout the game. He also explored a couple more routes than I did, so it evened out a bit in the end.
I named Missing.no “Miracle” because I thought it would be ironic seeing as how everyone else in the game called them “The Catastrophe”. Citrine named his Miggning.no “Big Glitch”.
I prepped a lot of items in the game and used almost none of them the entire time!
In the end, I had a bounty of 25k. I would only usually steal rare pokemon, pokemon that come from important trainers (I didn’t steal from any gym leader though), and just out of spite. This meant that my sentence at the end was only 4 years, which if I/my character had to sit through it instead of Shigeki bailing me out, it could have been manageable.
Citrine, on the other hand, ended up with a bounty of 386k! He stole from everyone and filled up around four and a half pc boxes. This meant that at the end of the game, his jail sentence was 54 years! What a madman.
My fight against Mewtwo lasted five turns. Pestilence set up swords dance twice, then used two crunchs, the second of which was a crit and cut through most of Mewtwo’s health, and then she quick attacked to finish them off. Mewtwo spent that entire time setting up amnesia, reflect, and light screen. Mewtwo was level 70, and Pestilence was level 41. Beware the plague.
Flash Cannon in Citrine’s game was glitched and would crash the game whenever it was used. My game was fine with it. We’re not sure what was up there, but also Citrine’s admin battle sprite was also glitched.
This was a good chance for us to try some new pokemon and revisit some old favorites! We really enjoyed it.
We both don’t like the post credits scene. Falls apart too much when you think about it, and kinda makes all your efforts feel worthless.
Moral of the story: Bill is a two-faced bitch, Blaine and Fuji are limp noodles, Ronnie can exist just nowhere near me, Oak got let off too easy, and Blue is my new best friend.
Oh, and also: fuck Lance, and Shigeki is best grandpa.
