Hey QW. Can you make a quirk based on Syndra from League Of Legends? Like the orbs:)

So for this, I'm taking her orbs as the main inspiration, with her Splinters of Wrath making it more distinct.

I see it working as an Emitter type Quirk that allows the user to fire out dark spheres the size of volleyballs from their hands. These orbs are rather mediocre, flying over several meters and hitting like a strong punch. When these balls hit another human target, they gain an increase in their abilities. This causes them to gain an increase in speed, fire rate, and damage, as noted by the spheres growing in size. At their maximum power, a single hit is enough to knock someone down with orbs the size of beach balls that fire out in rapid succession. This in turn gives the user more control, such as firing them out on mass at close range like a shotgun. This gives the user a good tool for combat, letting them constantly improve as the fight goes on. If nothing else, the way the user can shape the orbs can give them a lot of tactical variety. Though the user will need to hit human targets to build up the orbs' abilities, they will start to regress if the user does not build them up or wastes their build-up energy by firing off too many of their orbs. The user will still need to aim them to land their shots and may find it lacking in roles outside of combat. A possible name for the Quirk could be "Shadow Shot".

The Book and a Cocktail

A/N: I saw the pool party Sett skin and the one tweet about cocktails and I just felt infused with the inspiration. Is this my best? Probably not but I love Sett and ahhhhhh. This is kinda disjointed and not the best at all and I’m sorry. Also, my summary is awful and I’m so sorry about that. 

Pairing: Sett x Reader

Summary: A day at the beach, you want to finish a novel, but things keep interrupting you. 

CW: Implications of sex. Nothing explicit, though! 

“Are you just gonna stay here all day?” asked your boyfriend. You shielded your eyes as you stared up at the man. The novel in your hand was just getting good and you refused to break away from it. He’d managed to convince you to go to the beach and you had chosen to spend the day in the shade and not in the sweltering heat. 

“Yes,” you curtly answered, “Is there a problem?” 

“How’s spending the day reading a book better than catching some rays and riding waves?” Sett had crouched down to be closer to your eye level. Or closer to figuring out what book you were reading since you’d been keeping it a secret. 

“Listen. Leona lent me this book for the day and I gotta crunch it all in because otherwise, I miss out on the chance of finishing it. Besides, don’t you have other things to be doing, Mr. Lifeguard?” you asked as you pulled the book closer to you and far away from his ever-approaching grasp. 

He laughed before saying, “You got me there, babe. Fine. I’ll let you be.” You watched him walk away before turning your attention back to the book.

Right as you found your place, you heard someone scream “watch out” before you felt a ball smash into your head. Thankfully, no sand got into your face but volleyballs hit hard. You blearily saw Syndra run up and ask if you were fine as she retrieved the ball. You only nodded as you regained your senses and tried to look back at your book. The ache soon subsided and you continued reading.

Some chapters later, you heard commotion on the left side of the beach and saw Taric jump down from his lifeguard seat and start running...to the right side of the beach. “Taric!” you yelled in an attempt to get his attention. “Wrong way!” The warnings and redirections went unnoticed until another beachgoer joined into your screaming that got the lifeguard running in the right direction. Whether the person in need of assistance was truly alright or not was an uncertainty that you would rather keep. What number strike was that on his chart?

Your eyes read the lead up to the romantic confession when Taliyah interrupted up to you and asked for help. Her hair had gotten a bit jostled around from suffering earlier and the tie in it had been shifted around and was falling off. “Come here,” you said and worked on adjusting her hair to be more stable for when she entered the waves again. “There.” 

No sooner did you turn back to your book that Syndra’s voice alerted you once again of incoming danger. At least you were not hurt and managed to dodge the ball coming to your direction. You returned to the love story after handing the ball back to her. 

Before you continued reading, Zoe came up to you and asked to build a sand castle with her. “Sure, why not?” As much as you hated getting sand all over you, her puppy-dog eyes made it hard to refuse and you found yourself spending some time in creating sand designs. When you returned to your book, you found yourself being interrupted again by something else. This time, it happened to be Heimerdinger.

“No, I am not sure how that would work, Heimerdinger.” You had repeated the sentence so many times to the point where you just knew that he was not listening to you. His initial question about the sand castle (after having seen the masterpiece that you and Zoe had made) had devolved into ramblings about sound structure building and other things that you could not think of properly. You had stopped paying attention at some point and felt agitated that you were unable to finish the book. You were so close. 

By the time that he had finished rambling, you noticed the sun going down. Leona had managed to track you down, even though you prayed she would not, and gotten the book back. You lied about it being good and it seemed like a decent enough answer to the woman. She promised to lend you the sequel sometime. If only that mattered to you when you didn’t know the ending of the first one. You stood dejectedly with your beach items, waiting for your boyfriend. “Are you all ready to leave?” asked Sett, walking up to where you were. 

“I guess...” you trailed off. Leona had long since left the beach and all courage to ask her to borrow it again had gone down the drain as she had left. 

“What’s wrong?” he asked as he pulled you into his arms. “Was the book not good?” 

“Actually, I wasn’t even able to finish the book….It’s like people kept deciding to interrupt me with everything. At this point, Syndra and her volleyballs are absolute liabilities,” you rambled. 

You stopped talking as he chuckled. “What?” you asked, looking up at him. 

“Nothing, nothing. If you’re so bothered by not finishing the book, I’ll get it for you. How’s that sound?” he said. 

“Really?” you asked. You hated asking him for things but you wanted that book so badly. You needed to know the ending. 

He nodded. “Thank you so much,” you said, pecking his cheek. He always managed to resolve things with little stress.

“Not a problem. Now, how about I get you a cocktail to wind down from a stressful day?” asked Sett. 

“A cocktail?” you questioned. You were not sure of any bars that were nearby. Not even the boardwalk had one from what you remembered of the layout. Sett and you weren’t staying in a hotel either so where would the two of you go? 

“Yup, I know just the perfect one.” He started guiding you away from the beach. As the two of you walked, you were still thinking. 

“Cocktails….cocktails...cocktails…” It was when you realized how dangerously low your boyfriend’s hand was on your waist that you realized what he was talking about. 

“Settrigh!”

Not that he lied about the cocktail helping you forget the stress of the day.

• I'm a 181cm tall female. I have shoulder length brunette hair, with curtain bangs dyed in purple.

• I'm an introvert. I have social anxiety and I tend to be pretty shy (in general but with affection too since I'm not used to any kind). I'm pretty insecure with how I look (mainly bc of how tall I am for a girl) so compliments about my appearance don't phase me because I just can't believe them. Why? Because...

Syndra has long been imprisoned and only recently managed to break free. It's been years since she's had an actual human interaction so you can tell her social skills are a bit...outdated, to say the least. You have to catch her up considering she missed quite a lot during her time in the Dreaming Pool, she's willing to learn and she's a great student. And she's actually pretty loyal, you don't need to be shy when you're around her, you can tell her secrets, things you're afraid to voice in front of people or just anything in general.

That said, as a way of returning your patience and kindness, she tries to help you with your social anxiety. Granted, she's not very good at it but she does her best and puts 100% of her effort in, you can think of her as a person to lean on. You can grab and use her hand like you would squeeze a stress ball if you're nervous, or you could whisper to her that you need some air or a quiet place, she'll bring you somewhere and do what she can with her magic to deafen the surroundings if it's too loud for you.

She's also not that great at giving affection, you can understand where she's coming from since her family, her friends, and even her mentor were scared of her. She knows these things take time to understand and to be able to express and give them to other people, but she's willing to put the time and patience. She likes to try new things so don't be scared when Syndra suddenly grabs your hand, wanting to walk with you hand-in-hand. Or suddenly hugging you from behind, her arms wrapped around your torso while you're in front of the stove, cooking.

One thing Syndra can't understand is how you can be insecure. You're a beautiful woman and Syndra appreciates every inch of your being. She doesn't mind you being tall for a woman, she thinks it's a unique trait of yours. Should anyone comment badly on your appearance, tell them to brace themselves for a storm.

Syndra doesn't like it when people keep secrets from her, your feelings are the same. You shouldn't bottle these emotions and feelings to yourself, it hurts, you can tell her and she won't judge. She tells you that you can vent on her, tell her when you're feeling sad or you're angry at your boss at work. She will intently listen and keep quiet during your venting as a sign of respect, showering you in kisses or squeezing you tightly in a hug right after, silently telling you "It's okay.".

You're more than free to share anything with her. She doesn't care if you say that you have a bizarre humor, you can tell her jokes or show her memes. Often, she won't understand and just look at you with a confused look that gets you cracking up everytime but that's okay, as long as she makes you smile and laugh.

And she appreciates the fact that you're so understanding and kind, she likes that you don't judge her for her past, and most of all, she likes the fact that you're not scared of her because of her magic.

She's talkative if you manage to bring it out of her, she has a lot of stories to tell, she just doesn't have many people who would be willing to listen. Her stories mostly consist of her childhood, sometimes it would be about books she read before or just some stuff she found interesting in her day.

Introduce her to your cats, you will not regret it. She will spend time with them and of course, with you. Syndra loves animals and petting them is her favorite thing to do so imagine her face lighting up when your cat purred when she petted it.

Syndra is a HUGE bookworm. She loves pretty much every genre, mostly history and literature. If you live near a local library, you can find Syndra there everyday, practically living there. You would bond over books. You both would read while snuggled on the couch or bed with your cats surrounding you, occasionally laying down beside you to sleep or to be petted. Syndra loves to learn new things and she wants to learn as much as she can, she would ask you to teach her the languages you speak. She thinks it's an impressive feat that you can speak three languages.

“Hey Jinx, could you close Shiro and Kuro in with you for a bit?” Lux was holding the snuggly familiars. The smile playing at her lips didn’t quite reach past the bags under her eyes. “I’m still writing that paper for World Civ and, while I love these little beans,” that got a chirp from the beans in question. “I can’t exactly type with them on the keyboard.”

“No problem. Come here you little fuzz balls.” The two hopped out of Lux’s arms and bounded up to their Guardian, who as per usual was sitting way to close to her tv. It’s a wonder she doesn’t wear glasses. “Give a shout when you’re done with your nerd homework. Ez, Syndra, and me are all playing Fall Guys.” Shooting a look at Lux, she noticed the fatigue on her best friend’s face. “Unless you need to sleep, that’s cool too.”

Lux breathes out a light laugh. “I’ll let you know.” She turned around and began the death march back to her laptop.

Janna was in the hall. They greeted as they passed eachother, and Janna hovered a bit as Lux went back to the dining room table.

“Shiro and Kuro sure are affectionate toward Lux. Wouldn’t you agree, Jinx?” Jinx didn’t trust Janna’s tone. She had on her annoying mom-friend face.

“They are. Not sure why they wouldn’t be.”Jinx scratched behind Kuro’s ear. The familiar seemed tense all of a sudden. Shiro too. Weird.

“Oh, I just thought it was neat is all.” Jinx narrowed her eyes. Janna was definitely up to something. Something obnoxious. “It’s just...”

“Just what?”

“No need to be so hostile, Jinx!” Janna’s smirk betrayed her amusement. Jinx was normally the troublemaker of the group, so Janna loved the occasional chances to push Jinx’s buttons in return. “Just noting how cute it is that Shiro and Kuro love getting attention from Lux so much. Haven’t seen them as needy with, say, Lulu or Poppy or myself.” Even Zephyr seemed to be smirking. “Hey, did you know familiars often emulate the desires and feelings of their guardian?”

Janna chuckled as she floated out of sight, deftly dodging Jinx’s pillow.

Pool Party 2020 speculations:

Pool Party 2020 skins just got teased on League’s official Twitter and I have a couple speculations on who they might be! (other than the obvious on the far left, Taliyah, who was teased earlier this year). 

Far Right: Definitely Orianna. Not doubt in my mind. 

Some people on twitter are trying to say, “IT COULD BE CAMILLE” but think about Camille for a sec. EVERY OTHER SKIN SHE’S HAD ALWAYS KEEPS HER SCISSOR LEGS. THIS SKIN HAS FEETSIES & TOESIES! So yea, not Camille. 

Next person over: 

Definitely looks like a javelin or polearm next to them so my instant first guesses were: Jarvan or Xin Zhao. 

Next: 

Ah yes, the female in the middle. MANY, MANY people on twitter speculated that it was DEFINITELY going to be Syndra THIS TIME FOR SURE because: BALL. Thought it was weird that they’d only include one ball but it IS a teaser.  After watching the gif over and over, I noticed as this person kicks the sandal back over to the male character on their left, their ‘towel’ that they are laying on seems to be connected to their skirt. Syndra has trails connected to the back of her skirt so it might be her! 

Other people saw the ball and thought maybe it was Ahri (but no tails and I dont think Ahri has tattoos- but who knows?).  Others saw the tattoos on the legs and thought of: Jinx: (but Jinx recently got Heartseeker so I don’t think it’d be her) Karma: She does have the leg tattoos And with the ‘towel’ being connected to skirt/shorts- karma has a short skirt in the front, long in the back.  Karma also has one anklet.  ***BUT**** the skin is WAAAAAAY too light to be Karma. 

Neeko: Neeko DOES have tattoos and she does have an anklet (but she has them on both feet) BUUUUUUUUUUUT in all of Neeko’s other skins, her skin color is never “normal.” Like in Star Guardian, her feet & hands were green. 

Dont know why Riot would change this now but who knows? There’s no tail- but she is a chameleon and could be blending in? Also the flower on Taliyah’s board looks a lot like Neeko’s flower in her hair, but it might just be a tropical flower. Maybe Riot took the odyssey Ziggs approach and just threw her in the skinline without putting her in the cinematic/trailer lmao). 

Janna: (she did recently get guardian of the sands) the “towel” that the person is laying on, when they reach out to kick back the sandal it shows that it’s connected to their skirt/shorts. Janna is one of the only other female champs that their shorts/skirt have long trails on it. 

Next Person Over: 

It’s definitely someone small, so most likely a yordle. They seem to have sunglasses next to them that reminded me a lot of Heimerdinger’s and Corki’s goggles.

There’s also something in the water that (to me) looks like a little turret, like Donger’s turrets.  Other’s thought maybe it’s Corki’s plane or Rumble’s machine- but Rumble’s machine is HUGE- too huge to be that little thing. (To me, personally, it doesnt look like it has a good spot to sit or that it could be steered- so I dont think it’s Corki, but who knows?)

Jay were a victim of a ritual conducted by their own father that failed. He wanted to eliminate the magic of his own daughter, but it actually put a curse on the poor child called “Decay”. Because of that process, Jay have lots of scars on their back and Freya almost killed Lewis while erase his memory and throw him at the sea. The Decay is a curse that can possess the vessel’s body and mind if they lose control. With the curse awaken, Jay can’t feel pain, and their sclera starts to turn black (if both their eyes turns completely black, Jay is lost forever and the curse takes total control). They can force-awaken the Decay using a modified Essence of Insanity where the cinnamon is replaced by Acromantula ashes.

After the curse and Jacob going missing, Agatha fell in despair, so Freya took her and Jay to sail with her and her crew where one of the sailor were Jay and Jacob’s childhood friend, William (they call him “Silver”). Agatha never leaves the Captain’s cabin but Jay stays on deck with the rest, learning how to fight with sword, pirate songs, and trying to copy Freya’s speeches. They got their Hogwarts letter at sea and they promised to William and Agatha that they would bring Jacob back.

Jay is sorted to Slytherin having Rowan Khanna by their side, overtime they make more friends, considering Bill and Charlie Weasley as their brothers. In 4º year they develop feelings for Barnaby Lee, going out on their first date. However, their relationship starts to get cold as Jay is about to get into the buried Vault, while Jay works with Bill, Merula and Rakepick, Barnaby is taking care of magical creatures with Liz Tuttle, getting closer to her. Jay’s best subjects are Divination, DADA, Potions and Astronomy, which can help them to navegate. After helping Myron, Orsino and Kirley with a concert in Hogwarts, Jay becomes friend with them and starts to learn how to play a guitar and become “Vulpix”, The Weird Sisters’ guest-guitarist and sometimes Myron likes to call them “their muse”.

At their 6th year, Jay experiences the tryout for the Quidditch team, meeting Skye Parkin, Murphy McNully and Orion Amari. After the match that would decide if they would be part of the team or not, the Pitch is invaded by a Colossal Chimaera and Jay tries to paralyzed the creature, but they’re attacked first, getting scars on their face. With a help of the Decay, Charlie and Andre, they finally doped the creature and they discover that Barnaby Lee was cheating on them with Liz. Knowing that, they loses control of the Decay and almost of their own mind but they calms down thanks to the sweet and calm voice of our beloved Captain, Mr. Amari. They develop feelings for Orion during the first Quidditch season and promise themself to protect him with their life. They first kiss takes place at the Astronomy Tower after Bill’s tutoring and they start dating. After Rowan’s death, Jay isolates themself at the Black Lake, with half of the left sclera dark, thinking if they would call their brother or not. They finally decides to call him, and after some talk they decide to do something drastic. A ritual to accept the curse, giving them another scar.

After Hogwarts, Jay becomes an Auror, being Mad-Eye’s pupil aside with Tonks. Jacob is finally free to sail around the seven seas breaking curses with Freya and William and to spend the lost time with his mother, on board of The Golden Buccaneer, ready to become it’s Captain. Orion travels to play Quidditch professionally but before he goes, he asks Jay to marry him and of course they accept.

When he gets back, both joins the Order of the Phoenix, meeting Sirius Black. Jay remembers Remus Lupin being an old friend of Chiara Lobosca, so they start being friends with the Marauders.  Jay and Orion gets married on the ship, having the ceremony performed by Freya and some important guests such as the Weasley family (including Charlie and Bill of course), Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin, Tonks, and some old friends like Andre Egwu, Murphy McNully, Penny Haywood and Skye Parkin and of course the crew.  Fun fact about the party: A drunk sailor kidnaps Orion to talk about random subjects with him while Sirius and Jay were drunk and mocking Harry who just laugh at them. 

One year later and after Sirius Black death, Jay gives birth to a cute girl while almost broke their brother’s hand and names her “Sirius” in tribute to Sirius Black and the star and they start to live near the beach, where have a port exclusive for the Buccaneer. During the Battle of Hogwarts, Jacob, Jay and Orion were fighting to protect the students. After Snape’s escape, Jay disagreed with McGonagall about Slytherin students and argued with Pansy Parkinson, still keeping their Slytherin pride. Orion got scars crossing his mouth and Jacob became blind of his right eye.

IMPORTANT THINGS I SHOULD LIST: -The Wingdings are a powerful family when we’re speaking about magic. Canalize their magic on their golden eyes can help them to have a sharp vision and to focus to make precise attacks. -Freya Wingdings is responsible for the creation of some important rituals in the family, such as the Summona that allows the wizard to summon a weapon to help in battle. -Jacob’s Animagus form is a raven. -Jay and Orion have a pet snake named Syndra. -Jay experiences real rum for the first time at their 6th year (thanks to Jacob and his responsability) -Jay and Jacob are used to speak to each other in symbols, golden signs that appears in front of them. Freya got really proud. -They’re proud of who they are and the name they carry. -Jacob married with William a few years before Jay. When they visit, Sirius call William “Uncle Silver” and Jacob “Uncle Raven”. -Jay can summon a katana while Jacob summons an axe. Agatha can summon a spear and Freya summons a scythe. -Jay asks Bill Weasley to be Sirius’ godfather, and he accepts. -The WD-Amari family were present at Bill’s wedding. -The Wingdings are fighters, they don’t use only magic. -The Wingdings doesn’t tolerate betrayal. A sailor who betrays his Captain will be thrown at the sea, abandoned to die. Barnaby Lee knew that. -The Golden Buccaneer is feared for one particular reason: a ritual painted on the cannon balls, making the target ship being swallowed by a kind of black hole, destroying the ship, the crew and it’s captain. Leaving nothing behind.

The Sovereign stood confused for a second from the question that was directed at her, most knew well enough to keep away from her and the unlucky ones that didn’t mostly learned that lesson the hard way.

Three of her dark spheres hovering around her as she stood midair, yet still in the air the figure of the humanoid creature was still massive, the way it spoke being of a simplistic nature but what it could lack in intelligence it would cover with its muscle, if it got close it could be dangerous for the dark mage.

Different scenarios passed through Syndra’s mind to be certain that she is prepared for a fight if it came to that.

“ People and animals alike usually tend to walk away from danger yet here you stand...” The woman replied, her voice filled with arcane energy,directing her right hand to point at him, an amethyst dark sphere forming at the tip of her index finger.

I understand Sugar Rush wasn’t one of the popular skinlines, but I feel if Riot added more popular champs to the skinline it would’ve sold better.  Champs I think would’ve been cool in the candy universe: Candy Queen Syndra Candy Queen Qiyana Candy Queen Lissandra Candy Princess Lux  Sugar Rush Ahri (have her tails be made out of cotton candy!) Sugar Rush Nunu (He could roll a big Ice Cream ball as his snowball!) Bittersweet Yuumi (I drew a concept for this awhile ago)
