After nearly two-hundred live performances spanning two international tours, Louis Tomlinson is celebrating the end of era on the road that spanned three years. On Thursday, the musician shared Live, a record captured across 15 different shows in 15 different cities.
“I’ve been lucky enough to spend the last 3 years touring the world twice over, the feeling I get sharing those live moments will be with me forever,” Tomlinson shared in a statement. “To be able to record these songs from all over the world and put them out as an album like this feels so special, and a real tribute to the fans who make each and every show feel unique and incredible. Thank you! Enjoy!”
The album features live performances from both the Louis Tomlinson World Tour — which was cut short in 2020 and resumed in 2022 — and the Faith in the Future World Tour, which kicked off in 2023 in support of the singer’s sophomore studio album of the same name. Combined, the tours included 170 shows in 47 countries across 5 continents.
Tomlinson captured performances of popular singles “We Made It” and “Walls” from his debut solo album Walls and “Written All Over Your Face,” “Silver Tongues,” and “Out of My System” from Faith in the Future. The album features recordings from London, Nashville, Vancouver, Barcelona, Chicago, Budapest, Paris, and more.
The digital version of Live is available now, with physical editions for the record set for release on Aug. 23 on a double CD and 2LP picture disc vinyl.

Live was captured across 15 different shows in 15 different cities over the course of three years while the singer embarked on two world tours

I know you said you're not doing time travel-related episodes in the SLau, but I was wondering where they'd fit into the timeline? Like, which seasons/which episode numbers they'd be using your organisation? Purely out of curiosity, since you're not doing the rabbit miraculous/time travel, and there's no pressure for an answer, just wondering where you'd place them in the timeline
Alright, you asked for it. This is an alternate universe where the Pandemic didn't happen btw, for my own sanity:

A Trump-appointed prosecutor dropped an unfalsifiable partisan bomb on President Joe Biden Thursday, playing into a years-long right-wing media campaign — and U.S. political journalists decided to treat it as a valid and impartial charge.
Biden, who has a 40-year record of public service in the U.S. Senate, as vice president, and in the Oval Office, is a self-described “gaffe machine” with a well-documented stutter. He is also, at 81, the oldest president in U.S. history.
The right has dedicated substantial time and resources since Biden launched his 2020 presidential campaign to attributing his verbal miscues to his age. Republican political operatives surface out-of-context snippets of Biden’s misstatements and try to blow them up into national stories, and it is rarely-disputed canon in the right-wing media that the president is a mentally failing dementia patient.
This argument blew up in their faces when Biden performed so well in a debate against then-President Donald Trump that the GOP resorted to accusing him of taking performance-enhancing drugs, and again in 2023, when his canny dealings with then-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy led McCarthy to describe him as “very smart” and Republicans to question how they’d been outmaneuvered by someone purportedly in mental decline. But undeterred by reality, the right has maintained the drumbeat over Biden’s mental status, driving up public concern over the president’s age.
Enter Robert Hur. Attorney General Merrick Garland presumably selected him as a special counsel to investigate Biden’s possible unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents or other records because he thought he could quell potential complaints of political bias by putting in charge a former clerk to right-wing judges whom Trump appointed as a U.S. attorney with every incentive to do maximum political damage to the Democratic president. This is a regular pattern — Republican and Democratic administrations each appoint Republicans to investigate both Republicans and Democrats, though that never seems to halt the complaints from the right about the handling of those cases.
On Thursday, after a year-long investigation, Hur issued a 345-page report in which he concluded that “no criminal charges are warranted in this matter” and that “the evidence does not establish Mr. Biden's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.” But rather than stop there, he also levied an incendiary and gratuitous attack on Biden’s mental status, claiming that, “at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” Hur cited specific mental lapses he’d observed during their five hours of interviews — conducted at a time when Biden was responding to the international crisis caused by the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel — including that his “memory appeared hazy” when discussing the intricacies of 15-year-old White House policy debates.
Hur’s argument that lawyers for the sitting president of the United States would argue in court that he shouldn’t be convicted of a crime because he is a senile old man is facially absurd. Indeed, Biden forcefully pushed back on the critique during a White House appearance Thursday night.
The special counsel’s actions drew sharp criticism from the legal community. Biden’s lawyers blasted claims about Biden’s memory in a draft report, saying, “We do not believe that the report's treatment of President Biden's memory is accurate or appropriate. The report uses highly prejudicial language to describe a commonplace occurrence among witnesses: a lack of recall of years-old events.” On MSNBC, former FBI counsel Andrew Weissmann called the claims “wholly inappropriate,” “gratuitous,” and “exactly what you’re not supposed to do, which is putting your thumb on the scale that could have political repercussions.” Neal Katyal, the former acting U.S. solicitor general, likewise said that based on his tours in the Justice Department, Hur’s statements were “totally gratuitous” and a “too-clever-move-by-half by the special counsel to try and take some swipes at a sitting president.” And Ty Cobb, a former Trump lawyer, said on CNN that he had served on an independent counsel probe that declined to prosecute someone due to “health issues, but we didn’t tell the world that,” suggesting that such statements by Hur were inappropriate.
But by including those inappropriate and gratuitous statements, Hur put an official seal on a partisan attack.
The right jumped on Hur’s claims, with Republican politicians and right-wing commentators falsely claiming that the special counsel had found that Biden “is not competent to stand trial” and “has dementia.” Some called for the Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and remove him from office.
The mainstream political press, meanwhile, turned Hur’s insinuations about Biden’s mental health — and not his declination to prosecute — into the report’s big takeaway. Here’s a sampling of top headlines from major newspapers, political tipsheets, and digital outlets on Thursday and Friday.
New York Times: “Eight Words and a Verbal Slip Put Biden’s Age Back at the Center of 2024” Axios: “1 big thing: Report questions Biden’s memory” Semafor Flagship: “DoJ report questions Biden’s memory” Washington Post: “Special counsel report paints scathing picture of Biden’s memory” Wall Street Journal: “Biden’s Age Back in Spotlight After Special Counsel Report, Verbal Flubs” CNN: “Biden tries to lay to rest age concerns, but may have exacerbated them” ABC News: “Special counsel blows open debate over Biden age and memory” CBS News: “Biden disputes special counsel findings, insists his memory is fine” Politico: “Age isn’t just a number. It’s a profound and growing problem for Biden.
Stories about Biden’s mental state are clearly catnip for political journalists. They can demonstrate how “fair” they are by providing negative coverage of Biden to balance their treatment of his likely opponent Donald Trump, who is an unhinged authoritarian facing scores of federal and state criminal charges, including for attempting to subvert the 2020 presidential election. And they don’t need to bone up on policy nuances separating the candidates — “is the president addled” is an easy venue for hot takes.
The storyline is particularly toxic because no matter how many times it is repudiated by Biden’s public actions or the statements of people who have spoken to him privately, it cannot be falsified. The White House physician can release health summaries calling him “fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.” Democrats who have recently spoken to the president, like Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY), and reporters who have recently interviewed him, like John Harwood, can attest to his mental acuity at the time of his special counsel interview. But Biden is still Biden, so he’s going to keep making gaffes, as he did Thursday night when he referred to Egyptian president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi as “the president of Mexico,” leading journalists to downplay his newsmaking statements about the Israel-Hamas war and fixate instead on what the statement says about his mental health.
The choice for reporters is how they respond to such misstatements. On NPR, Mara Liasson said that the White House is pushing back by pointing out that Biden’s foes, like Fox’s Sean Hannity and Trump, have had similar mix-ups.
“But the difference is that one of these missteps, one of these guys who forgets things, Biden, has become a viral meme, and it's become a big problem for him,” she said. “Trump's misstatements, for some reason, have not risen to that level.”
It’s true that Trump’s own verbal missteps have not coalesced into an overarching narrative about his mental fitness for office. But the reason why is obvious: Political journalists decided to treat Biden’s missteps as a big problem, and Trump’s as a small one. They’re setting the agenda, following the lead of the Republican Party, the right-wing media, and now, Hur.

I’m trying to figure out the timeline of Headless and this is what I have so far:
We know for a fact that Ichabod’s court session was on a Monday, so we’ll centre it on that: Episode 5 takes place on a Monday and will be our touchstone. So looking at the earlier episodes, Episode 4 must take place on Sunday. The episode exists in a single day and towards the end of it, Ichabod gets a reminder that he would be in court the next day.
Tumblr media
Episode 3 is a little more uncertain. I think it must start before Saturday (it spans two days and given Douffé gets stabbed, there was definitely at least a day before Ichabod turned up at the drugstore on Sunday) so maybe it’s Friday-Saturday. Episode 2 has Ichabod and Brom teaching, so is definitively a school day, so I’d reckon it’s most likely Thursday, but it could also be Wednesday. As for Episode 1, Ichabod said in Episode 5 that he’d been in Sleepy Hollow for less than a week, so the earliest day he could have moved there was Tuesday. (Again, it could also be Wednesday.)
Tumblr media
Now for the episodes after Episode 5, Episode 6 must take place on Tuesday. Kat asks Ichabod after his court session to dinner with her dad the next day.
Tumblr media
Episode 7 starts on Tuesday late evening, but it spans three days. At no point does it definitively say that the next part happens the following day, though given their rush and the likelihood of Ichabod having studied Elizabeth Van Tassel’s diary Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, it would be safe to assume that the next part takes place on Wednesday. Except, Brom, in Episode 9, says that Ichabod started his community service on 7th October, which, in 2022, was a Friday.
Tumblr media
There are three possible explanations for this. 1) Brom is just wrong - given that Brom says their google calendars are linked and Ichabod doesn’t have a google calendar, Brom may have been confused. 2) This show does not take place in 2022 - I thought it was, but now I’m not entirely sure. The last time 7th October was on a Wednesday was in 2020. 3) It is a Friday, and it took them a couple of days after Tuesday to figure out the matching symbols in Anneke’ and Davy “Gravy” Jones’ books.
So, for the sake of this, I’m going to go with Option 1: Part 2 of Episode 7 takes place on Wednesday. Part 3 of Episode 7, therefore, takes place on Thursday. Brom says he’ll go ask Lucretia to see the basement and we’re told that happens the next day.
Tumblr media
That means Episode 8 also takes place on Thursday. Lucretia says to Brom that she has a wedding that very day and that’s when the heist happens.
Tumblr media
If Episode 8 is Thursday, Episode 9 must be Friday. Each head only lasts 24 hours and Paulie is still active. It must start in the late morning/early afternoon, since the gang starts off in jail and then, an hour later, Paulie shows up and his head promptly dissolves naturally.
Tumblr media
This means that the gang were in jail for at least 10 hours - the heist canonically took 15 minutes on Thursday afternoon/early evening. And finally, Episode 10. The start of this episode would take place on Friday evening (or Sunday evening if we went with Option 3). Kat tells them after the jailbreak to head to her house later that evening for “the world’s weirdest scavenger hunt”.
Tumblr media
We know when midnight hits as that is definitively stated, so we know it filters over into Saturday (or Monday), and the gang walk around with Henrietta in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Also, I don’t know how American school terms work, but I’m assuming that Episode 5-10 take place during half term (I think the American equivalent is semester break?), since Ichabod and Brom don’t seem to spend any time in school. Half term for us is typically the last week of October, but I’m not sure how semester break works (I did try to look it up, but couldn’t find anything) so could it be early October?
Me, writing this post:
Tumblr media
Anyway, what do other people think? Have I missed anything obvious?
To simplify it:
Tuesday - 1️⃣
Thursday - 2️⃣
Friday - 3️⃣
Saturday - 3️⃣
Sunday - 4️⃣

September sizzled (AP) After a summer of record-smashing heat, warming somehow got even worse in September as Earth set a new mark for how far above normal temperatures were, the European climate agency reported Thursday. Last month’s average temperature was 0.93 degrees Celsius (1.7 degrees Fahrenheit) above the 1991-2020 average for September. That’s the warmest margin above average for a month in 83 years of records kept by the European Space Agency’s Copernicus Climate Change Service. “It’s just mind-blowing really,” said Copernicus Director Carlo Buontempo. “Never seen anything like that in any month in our records.”
US democracy in disarray (NYT) Imagine if you were a foreign leader surveying the political chaos in the United States: For the first time in history, a party has just fired its own speaker of the House in the middle of a term. In the Senate, one of the two party leaders, who’s 81 years old, has twice recently frozen in public, unable to speak. A likely nominee in the upcoming presidential election is facing four criminal trials and regularly speaks in apocalyptic terms about the country’s future. That nominee is essentially tied in the polls with an 80-year-old president who many voters worry is too old to serve a second term. “To many watching at home and abroad, the American way no longer seems to offer a case study in effective representative democracy,” Peter Baker of The Times writes. “Instead, it has become an example of disarray and discord, one that rewards extremism, challenges norms and threatens to divide a polarized country even further.”
Elite pilots prepare for ‘camping out in the sky’ as they compete in prestigious gas balloon race (AP) It’s been 15 years since the world’s elite gas balloon pilots have gathered in the United States for a race with roots that stretch back more than a century. The pilots will be launching for this year’s Gordon Bennett competition during an international balloon fiesta that draws hundreds of thousands of spectators to the heart of New Mexico each fall. The race has been held in the United States only 13 times before, and this will be the fifth time the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta has played host. For the pilots, there are no stops to refuel or to pick up extra supplies. They will be aloft for days, carrying everything they need to survive at high altitude as they search for the right combination of wind currents to push their tiny baskets as far as they can go. Prevailing winds are expected to carry the competitors through the Midwest toward the northeastern U.S. and potentially into Canada. A Belgium team holds the record for traveling just over 2,112.9 miles (3,400 kilometers) in 2005. A German team was added to the record books for staying aloft the longest—more than 92 hours—during the 1995 competition.
Mexican reporters and hitmen (NYT Mag) The world has become an increasingly dangerous place for reporters, but—outside the war in Ukraine—no place is more deadly for them than Mexico. Since the central government began its brutal and chaotic war on drugs in 2006, at least 128 reporters have been killed there, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists, 13 of them last year alone, a chilling record. Mexican journalists have faced phone hacks, death threats, beatings, torture and, in one case, grenade attacks on their newsroom. They face these perils in part because the authorities whose job it is to protect them have in many instances been infiltrated by the cartels.
England considers raising smoking age until cigarettes are banned entirely (Washington Post) British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak proposed raising the smoking age by a year, every year, so that children born after 2008 will not be allowed to legally purchase tobacco products even when they become adults. Sunak announced the idea in a speech Wednesday at the annual Conservative Party conference, saying he wanted to create Britain’s first modern “smoke-free” generation. Describing smoking as the “biggest cause of preventable death,” Sunak said the policy would mean “a 14-year-old today will never legally be sold a cigarette,” to applause from the audience. At present Britons over 18 can legally buy cigarettes. The proposal is part of a renewed global crackdown on tobacco and vaping. New Zealand last year passed a law, yet to take effect, prohibiting the sale of tobacco to those born after 2008. Australia unveiled plans to crack down on recreational vaping products, even those not containing nicotine. Hong Kong is considering imposing lifetime tobacco bans for future generations. Smoking causes 64,000 deaths in England per year, and costs the economy an estimated $20.7 billion annually via early deaths and costs to the public health system, according to the government.
France battles bedbugs (ABC News) In 2024, Paris will host the Summer Olympics. This year, though, it appears to be hosting the bedbug Olympics, with social media videos posted from the city showing bedbugs crawling around in hotels, on public transport, and even in Charles de Gaulle Airport. “Faced with the scourge of bedbugs, we must act!” Paris Deputy Mayor Emmanuel Grégoire said last Thursday. “This is a public health problem where all stakeholders must be brought to the table. It is up to owners and insurers to cover the costs of getting rid of these pests.” Though they’ve been historically associated with developing nations, bedbug infestations have become increasingly prevalent in wealthy countries like the U.S., U.K., and France. A recent study showed that about 1 in 10 French households experienced a bedbug infestation between 2017 and 2022. “The upsurge in bed-bug infestations in recent years has been due in particular to the rise in travel and the increasing resistance of bed bugs to insecticides,” said France’s health and safety agency.
Poland election turns Germany into punching bag (Reuters) Fighting to win an unprecedented third term in office, Poland's nationalist government has seized on a target close to home: Germany, its NATO ally and biggest trading partner. In a tight race ahead of Poland's Oct. 15 election, leaders of the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party have accused Germany of trying to dictate Polish government policy from Berlin on anything from migration to gas. The feud has frayed Europe's broadly united front supporting Ukraine against Russia's invasion, shredding a plan for a joint Polish-German tank repair plant for Kyiv's benefit. The populist PiS has tapped into a mistrust towards Germany that still runs high in part of the electorate, above all elderly conservatives who remember the devastation of World War Two.
Ukraine’s Ammunition Problem (CNN/Politico/NYT) The war in Ukraine continues with support from the West, but some of Kyiv’s closest allies are struggling to keep up with the demands of the conflict. This week, NATO officials declared that Western ammo stocks are now scraping “the bottom of the barrel,” while Washington ended up sending ammunition it seized from Iran to Kyiv to keep the troops topped up. Over a million 7.62-mm rounds were seized by the U.S. Navy from a ship moving the ammunition from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to the Houthis in Yemen. Meanwhile, NATO officials are drumming up support from their constituents to “keep Ukraine in the fight against Russian invaders” as support from the E.U. and U.S. are threatened by recent political developments. “The bottom of the barrel is now visible,” said Netherlands Admiral Rob Bauer, the chair of the NATO Military Committee. “We give away weapons systems to Ukraine, which is great, and ammunition, but not from full warehouses,” he added. Experts say that the West will need to produce more ammunition (and fast) to keep up with demand from Ukraine while keeping their own stockpiles.
Russia starts moving its fleet from Crimea (WSJ) Russia has withdrawn the bulk of its Black Sea Fleet from its main base in occupied Crimea, a potent acknowledgment of how Ukrainian missile and drone strikes are challenging Moscow’s hold on the peninsula. Russia has moved powerful vessels including three attack submarines and two frigates from Sevastopol to other ports in Russia and Crimea that offer better protection, according to Western officials and satellite images verified by naval experts. The port in Crimea was first claimed by Russia in 1783 under Catherine the Great.
Pakistan abruptly turns against Afghan refugees, calls for deportations (Washington Post) There hasn’t been a single day over the past two years when Mohammad Abed Andarabi felt at ease. A former prosecutor for the U.S.-backed Afghan government that was toppled by the Taliban, he says he has changed hideouts four times in recent months. Andarabi isn’t running from the Taliban, whose fighters he once helped to put behind bars, but from police in Pakistan—the country where he sought refuge almost two years ago. His visa has expired and, amid a widening crackdown on Afghan refugees in Pakistan, he fears that he, his wife and his five children will be jailed or even sent back to Kabul. After Pakistan’s caretaker government last week abruptly agreed to deport the 1.7 million Afghans who are estimated to live in the country illegally, the Interior Ministry on Tuesday announced a 28-day deadline for them to leave voluntarily, promising a “reward” to anyone who shares information on their whereabouts starting in November. The decision appeared to be primarily linked to growing Pakistani frustration with the Taliban and with the economic burden of hosting millions of Afghans.
China’s demographic deficit (Financial Times) More important than (China’s shrinking population) is the change in the age composition of the population. While the overall population is forecast to shrink by 113mn between 2020 and 2050, the number of people over 65 will rise, according to these projections, by 215 million, while the number of those below the age of 20 will shrink by 137 million and those between 20 and 64 will shrink by 191 million. As a result, those over 65 will jump from 13 to 30 per cent of the population. Those aged under 20 will shrink from 24 to 15 per cent and those aged 20 to 64 from 64 to 55 per cent. By 2100, suggests the UN, the share of the over-65s will be an astonishing 41 per cent of the population.
Typhoon Koinu injures 190 and brings record-breaking winds to Taiwan (AP) Typhoon Koinu swept southern Taiwan on Thursday, injuring 190 people but causing no deaths as it brought pounding rain and record-breaking winds to the island, leading to school and office closures. Koinu, which means “puppy” in Japanese, made landfall early Thursday in Cape Eluanbi, the southernmost tip of Taiwan, and is expected to weaken as it moves west toward Guangdong and Fujian provinces in southern China. The typhoon brought the fastest wind ever recorded in Taiwan. A weather monitoring station on the outlying Orchid Island measured a gust of 342.7 kph (212.9 mph), as well as sustained winds that reached 198.7 kph (123.5 kph). Both values set all-time highs since Taiwan began keeping records of wind speeds in 1897.
$106,619 (BBC) That is how much it now costs to purchase the right to buy a car in Singapore. While Singapore has an astonishingly high rate of millionaires for its relatively small size, the city-state’s average salary of roughly S$70,000 ($51,000) means that the ability to purchase a car and drive is well out of the reach of many Singaporians. Introduced as an anti-congestion measure, the government’s new 10-year certificate of entitlement (COE) system aims to promote the use of the city’s public transportation network, which ranks as one of the best systems in the world. With many standard cars costing more than six times the price as in the United States, Singapore is the most expensive city in the world to drive.
At least 80 killed in drone attack on Syrian military academy in Homs (Washington Post) A drone attack on a military academy in Homs, in central Syria, killed at least 80 people, authorities in Damascus said Thursday, one of the deadliest attacks on government-held territory in years. Syria retaliated with airstrikes pummeling the northwest of the country, which is home to various rebel forces and millions of civilians. Drones carrying explosives struck the Homs Military Academy during a graduation ceremony attended by families, according to the Syrian Foreign Ministry. Hussein al-Ghabash, the Minister of Health, said the preliminary death toll was 80, including six women and six children. He said that 240 people were wounded. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.

September is a “6” Universal Month [9 (September) + 6 (2022) = 15 = 1+5=6] in a “6” universal year. The number 6 is all about striving for balance and harmony and you will see this general energy reflected throughout the month as it heightens the energy of our year. A lot has happened since January: both Mercury and Venus retrograded in Capricorn and Aquarius in conjunction with the planet Pluto, Venus then experienced a rough besiegement between Mars and Saturn in Aquarius, and we’ve been under the constant strain of year two of our Saturn-Uranus square which is being further activated by our lunar nodes in Taurus and Scorpio and our Sun, Mercury, and Venus every time that they transit one of the fixed signs. All of the stop/go push/pull energy that has been accumulating all year long is coming to a head and it is highlighting for us what isn’t working for us anymore so that we can either fix it or move on.
Like back in January, we will have to deal with a tenuous Mercury retrograde from air back into earth which highlights that talking about it isn’t enough – grounded action is in order at this time. Virgo likes to fix things – we can use this to our advantage.
The Set Up
We begin the month with the Sun in Virgo, Mercury in its pre-retrograde shadow in Libra, Venus in Leo, Mars in Gemini, Jupiter retrograde in Aries, Saturn retrograde in Aquarius, Uranus retrograde in Taurus, Neptune retrograde in Pisces, and Pluto retrograde in Capricorn. The big news bears are three-fold. One, the Saturn-Uranus square is deepening towards the point where our two giants will be within one degree of one another later this year. Two, Mercury will retrograde at 08° Libra this month and Mars will enter its shadow at 08° Gemini.
By month’s end, our Sun will be in Libra, and Mercury and Venus will reside in Virgo. All of our other planets will have remained in their respective signs otherwise. Other than the retrograde season shift, there isn’t a lot of other transit activity during the month of September which shows that the lunarly aspects may have greater influence than in some months.
The Details
If September feels flight and untethered, it is almost by design. There are relatively few aspects going on compared to the past few months which will strongly emphasize a few key points. The two main things to watch out for are our upcoming Mercury and Mars retrogrades (Mercury will retrograde this month and Mars at the end of October) and the continual impact that the moon is having on our ever-tightening Saturn-Uranus square. By mid-month, Saturn and Uranus will be within one degree of each other which is going to exert a lot of pressure. This is the same energy we’ve been experiencing for a year and a half now but it won’t release until Scorpio season – expect things to be tense all month long.
There isn’t a lot going on during the first half-week of September. On Thursday 9/1, Mars in Gemini makes a quick sextile to retrograde Jupiter in Aries which could be a quick windfall if you are willing to let it be but we are already being stressed by the moon in Scorpio opposing Uranus in Taurus late Thursday night and squaring off with Saturn early on Friday morning. Whatever it is, we want to do something about it. But wait.
Mars enters its shadow at 08° Gemini on Saturday. This is, in some ways, the Big News Bears of both the month of September and October. Mars will retrograde on 10/30 and will remain in backward motion through the rest of the year. This energy is very similar to that of our Saturn-Uranus square: you can’t get there from here.
This is Right on Time, even if it doesn’t feel this way. Mars retrogrades about every two years and was last retrograde in the fall of 2020 in the sign of Aries. Mars retrograde in Gemini is a reminder to think before you act. Or even, to think AFTER you act. Just think about your actions at all. This will be harder for some than others – perhaps especially hard for Aries and Scorpio types who aren’t on good terms with self-reflection or anybody who has Mars in Gemini in their natal charts.
This is the pre-retrograde shadow which means that we may find that we fall in a few more Marsian holes than normal. These things are our stopping points – the red flags and long nights – watch what comes up for you know and it will almost inevitably repeat itself as Mars retrogrades later this year and then, perhaps for a third time, when Mars is direct during 2023.
The first full week of September may feel liminal and deep. Mercury will be at a complete stand-still all week as our planet of communication and travel prepares to retrograde at 08° Libra on Friday 9/9. Note the recurring numbers here: Mars entering its shadow at 08° Gemini, Mercury retrograding at 08° Libra – though these two personal planets will not fall into aspect with each other during this time – they are both carrying with them some of the 8 energy of the ouroboros – the eternal cycle of repeated lessons throughout our lives. Mercury will be retrograde through the rest of the month (they station direct on 10/02) so keep in mind that everything may run a bit slower during this time. Check your work, proofread thrice, and don’t expect to travel in a straight line (no matter where you are going) – all of the standard Mercury retrograde “warnings” apply.
This energy will lead immediately into a nebulous full moon at 17° Pisces the next day on Saturday 9/10. This will be a great day for Neptunian activities like divination, pathfinding, meditation, or other very esoteric pursuits and not a whole lot else. This is energy better sat with than acted on though Saturn and Uranus may have other things in mind. I expect the energy of the full moon to be somewhat muted by this energy, somewhat deeper.
The energy going forward into the week on 9/12 is just going to deepen from there. On Wednesday, the moon in Taurus meets up with the North Node and retrograde Uranus and squares off with retrograde Saturn – this is the gong bell of the Saturn-Uranus square. We may feel the need to hunker down and get prepared for something – the energy will be intense and downward trending. Stay aware if you are prone to periods of melancholy. The Sun in Virgo will oppose retrograde Neptune in Pisces on Friday 9/16 which may be the nadir of this energy. Venus in Virgo will be squaring off with Mars in Gemini the same day which may direct our already downcast mode towards our others.
Something is coming to a culmination all month. September, being a Number 9 month, is by its nature a month of endings. We will all get a peek at fate on the weekend of 9/17 – the day after Venus and Mars square, Venus will trine the North Node and Mars will sextile Chiron. Two paths are diverging in the woods – if you take the less traveled one, you will be walking the path of the Wanderer (retrograde Mercury, aka Mercury Chthonia) but as always, the choice is up to you.
On Sunday 9/18, the Sun in Virgo trines retrograde Pluto in Capricorn and retrograde Mercury opposes retrograde Jupiter. We will all likely still be very in it but if you have found your path, there is a way forward. Trust the white rabbit.
By now, the energy is getting so deep that it’s almost subterranean. That won’t happen until 9/23 when the Sun and Mercury cross each other at 00° Libra in opposite directions and then Mercury moves backward into the mutable earth sign of Virgo. This is a beautiful actualization of the seasonal energy that we Northern Hemisphere witches and other magical practitioners associate with the turning of the seasons. It is almost as if Mercury is kindly taking our hands and bringing us into the Hallows season.
But then, once you step over the threshold you realize that you were already here. It’s just going to be that kind of month.
Keep your traveling protections on all month if you’re the superstitious type. Take a walk around your neighborhood to remind yourself that every day is a journey. Be in the moment. This astrological weather calls for reverence and awareness. These retrogrades are a gift from the sky gods – you just have to let them be. You just have to breathe with the planets rather than struggle against them.
We’ll be feeling it all month, there’s no way around it. Venus in Virgo opposes Neptune on Saturday 9/24 while the dark moon moves through Virgo. You may not be the same person that you were at the start of September – embrace that. That is the journey.
The new moon at 02° Libra on Sunday 9/26 will be uncharacteristically deep for a Libra lunar event. Though many of us are drawn together during Autumn, we may find a need for solitude that is uncharacteristic for the season. Mercury is still conjunct to the Sun and Moon but they will be out of phase in some way due to their separate signs. We need to go back to the drawing board about something. Somebody might be getting critical. Try to keep egos out of it and let retrograde Mercury do its best work. The Sun and Moon may try to turn the fix-it energy onto their relationships but that isn’t wise unless all members of that relationship are amenable to a great deal of scrutiny and stress.
Monday 9/26 might be the pick of the month. That said, we might all be too exhausted to utilize its energy. Mercury and Venus meet up in Virgo and for a trine to Pluto in Capricorn, and the Sun in Libra opposes retrograde Jupiter in Aries. If you’re willing to let all the chips fall where they may, this is a day to have a good day. If you’re not, proceed with caution.
Mercury makes its second trine to Pluto in Capricorn on Tuesday 9/27 which may feel like a big hit from the fate train. Pluto, our planet of death and transformation, has had an intricate part in all three of Mercury’s retrograde cycles this year. If something comes to the surface from January-February or April-May that you thought was dead and buried, that’s why. Mars in Geminis trine to Saturn the next day shows that even if we want to do something about it, we probably won’t be able to muster the energy to get anywhere.
Out of gas. I don’t even know what that means but somebody needed to hear it.
Getting nowhere fast. By month’s end, September may feel like a blur. You might wonder where your time went or what you were doing. If you have a lot of deadlines for the month, get on them early and try to set a soft deadline of 9/9 (the date of the retrograde) for the first drafts of anything written. Don’t push things and you’ll get there eventually.
You can visit my blog to see the exact transits for the month.
Do you like my work? You can support me over on Kofi by purchasing an astrology report from me, buying some art, or simply throwing a coin for your local astrologer. Right now I'm offering Mercury retrograde transit reports (available until 9/9).

PHOENIX (AP) — An Arizona woman accused of illegally collecting early ballots in the 2020 primary election pleaded guilty Thursday in an agreement with state prosecutors that saw the more serious forgery and conspiracy charges dismissed and limited any potential for a lengthy prison sentence.
Guillermina Fuentes, 66, could get probation for running what Arizona attorney general's office investigators said was a sophisticated operation using her status as a well-known Democratic operative in the border city of San Luis to persuade voters to let her gather and in some cases fill out their ballots.
Prosecutors were apparently unable to prove the most serious charges, dropping three felony counts alleging that Fuentes filled out one voter's ballot and forged signatures on some of the four ballots she illegally returned for people who were not family members.
Republicans who have rallied around the possibility of widespread voting fraud in the 2020 election where former President Donald Trump was defeated have pointed to the charges against Fuentes as part of a broader pattern in battleground states. But there’s no sign her illegal ballot collection went beyond the small-town politics Fuentes was involved in.
Fuentes and a second woman were indicted in December 2020 on one count of ballot abuse, a practice commonly known as “ballot harvesting” that was made illegal under a 2016 state law. The conspiracy, forgery and an additional ballot abuse charge against Fuentes were added last October.
Fuentes said little during a change of plea hearing in southwestern Arizona's Yuma County on Thursday, just acknowledging the judge's questions with “yes” as he asked whether she had read and understood the plea agreement.
Fuentes, a former San Luis mayor who serves as an elected board member of the Gadsden Elementary School District in San Luis, could be sentenced to up to two years in prison, but that would require a judge to find aggravating circumstances. The plea agreement leaves the actual sentence up to a judge, who could give her probation, home confinement and a hefty fine for her admission to illegally collecting and returning four voted ballots.
Sentencing was set for June 30. She will lose her voting rights and must give up elected office.
Attorney Anne Chapman said in an email Thursday that she had no comment on the charges against her client.
But she slammed Arizona's ballot collection law, saying it impedes minority voters who have historically relied on others to help them vote. She said “this prosecution shows that the law is part of ongoing anti-democratic, state-wide, and national voter suppression efforts.”
Attorney general's office investigation records obtained by The Associated Press through a public records request show that fewer than a dozen ballots could be linked to Fuentes, not enough to make a difference in all but the tightest local races.
The office of Attorney General Mark Brnovich, a Republican seeking his party's U.S. Senate nomination, provided the records after delays of more than 15 months.
It is the only case ever brought by the attorney general under the 2016 “ballot harvesting” law, which was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court last year.
Investigators wrote that it appeared Fuentes used her position as a powerful figure in the heavily Mexican American community to get people to give her or others their ballots to return to the polls. Fuentes and her co-defendant were seen with several mail-in envelopes outside a cultural center in San Luis on the day of the 2020 primary election, the reports show. The ballots were taken inside and dropped in a ballot box.
She was videotaped by a write-in candidate who called the Yuma County sheriff. The reports said the video showed her marking at least one ballot, but that charge was among those dropped.
An investigation was launched that day, and about 50 ballots checked for fingerprints, which were inconclusive. The investigation was taken over by the attorney general's office within days, with investigators collaborating with sheriff's deputies to interview voters, Fuentes and others.
Although Fuentes was charged only with actions that appear on the videotape and involve just a handful of ballots, investigators believe the effort went much farther.
Attorney general's office investigator William Kluth wrote in one report that there was some evidence suggesting Fuentes actively canvassed San Luis neighborhoods and collected ballots, in some cases paying for them.
Collecting ballots in that manner was a common get-out-the-vote tactic used by both political parties before Arizona passed the 2016 law. Paying for ballots has never been legal.
There’s no sign she or anyone else in Yuma County collected ballots in the general election, but investigators from the attorney general's office are still active in the community.
The Arizona Republic reported Tuesday that search warrants were served last month at a nonprofit in San Luis. The group's executive director is chair of the Yuma County board of supervisors and said the warrant sought the cell phone of a San Luis councilwoman who may have been involved in illegal ballot collection.
And at a legislative hearing Tuesday where election conspiracy theorists testified, the Yuma primary election case was again a highlight.
“It’s all about corruption in San Luis and skewing a city council election,” Yuma Republican Rep. Tim Dunn said. “This has been going on for a long time, that you can’t have free and fair elections in south county, for decades. And its spreading across the country.”

LACUNA COIL Kicks Off Summer/Fall 2022 North American Tour In Harrisburg
Italian heavy rockers LACUNA COIL kicked off their summer/fall 2022 North American tour last night (Thursday, September 8) at HMAC in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Fan-filmed video of the performance is available below.
As previously reported, "Comalies XX", a "deconstructed" and "transported" version of LACUNA COIL's third album, "Comalies", will be made available on October 14 via Century Media Records.
Back in 2002, LACUNA COIL released an album which is now undeniably an anthem-laden millennial classic that established them as a band with the stamina to go the distance. Now, 20 years later, the current lineup of LACUNA COIL decided to revisit the songs, but not to just re-record them as they were but deconstruct and transport them into 2022.
"This is not a reboot or a spin-off or anything like that," said LACUNA COIL vocalist Cristina Scabbia. "We just wanted to give these songs a 2022 dress and see how this guy or girl who was born 20 years ago would still look fucking slick in 2022."
"Comalies XX" track listing:
CD 1:
01. Swamped XX 02. Heaven's A Lie XX 03. Daylight Dancer XX 04. Humane XX 05. Self Deception XX 06. Aeon XX 07. Tight Rope XX 08. The Ghost Woman And The Hunter XX 09. Unspoken XX 10. Entwined XX 11. The Prophet Said XX 12. Angel's Punishment XX 13. Comalies XX
CD 2:
01. Swamped 02. Heaven's A Lie 03. Daylight Dancer 04. Humane 05. Self Deception 06. Aeon 07. Tight Rope 08. The Ghost Woman And The Hunter 09. Unspoken 10. Entwined 11. The Prophet Said 12. Angel's Punishment 13. Comalies
LACUNA COIL will celebrate the 20th anniversary of "Comalies", by performing it in its entirety at a one-night-only concert on Saturday, October 15 at Fabrique in Milano.
"Comalies" was originally released on October 29, 2002 through Century Media Records. The LP, which featured the band's breakthrough single "Heaven's A Lie", has reportedly gone on to sell over 300,000 copies in the United States alone.
Regarding the "Comalies" title, Scabbia said: "[During the album's recording], we had a sort of creative explosion. We were working in a coma, sort of like in a different dimension. First of all we just wanted to use the word 'coma' but there was something missing so we played with the two words coma and lies."
The "Comalies" song "Swamped" is available as a downloadable track for the music video game series "Rock Band" and also appeared in the 2004 video game "Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines".
LACUNA COIL played its first show in front of an audience in more than two years on April 7 as the support act for APOCALYPTICA at the Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia.
Prior to the Atlanta concert, the last time LACUNA COIL played together was at the group's special September 2020 livestream event where the bandmembers performed their latest album, "Black Anima", in its entirety with no audience in attendance at the Alcatraz Club in Milan, Italy. That show was released as a live album, "Live From The Apocalypse", via Century Media.
LACUNA COIL hadn't played in front of a crowd since the completion of the band's South American tour in February 2020.
Last June, Scabbia told Revolver that she and her bandmates didn't use the coronavirus downtime to work on new music. "We didn't want to force the fact that because we were home, we had to write music," she explained. "We always thought that to write music, you need to be inspired. And inspiration comes from the outside, comes from experiences that you have, things that you live. At least this is valid for us.
"Everything we do in a regular life, in a normal life enriches us and gives us input that we can put in our music," she said. "And also we like to write together. So, if Marco [Coti Zelati, bass] creates the basis of the music together with the other musicians in the band, then Andrea [Ferro, vocals] and I jump in with the lyrics and vocal lines. But we do that together. We need to enter in songwriting mode. So we didn't really like the fact that we had to write separately just because we have to put a record [together] because it's quarantine. Now we are starting to collect ideas 'cause we feel a little bit happier."
Scabbia continued: "We didn't want anything connected to the negativity of the pandemic… That's why I used my time to do something completely different. Because I know that what I did that it's completely different from what I usually do will make me start again to do what I did before with passion — with the same passion. I was just afraid that if I would have used all the downtime making music when I didn't really want to, it would have had a negative influence on me. And it would have been, like, 'I really don't want to do that.' And I also wanted to prove to myself that, yeah, music is main passion. I love what I do for a living, and I hope that I can do it until the day I die. But I also wanted to show myself that I can be capable of doing something else as well."

hi calla! sorry if this is a weird question, but i just remembered the fic exchange primer you made so i thought i'd shoot my shot. do you know if you need to have a dreamwidth to sign up for hbb? are there any things you think a first time hbb-er would need to know that might not seem obvious? thanks so much either way!
hello! no weird questions on THIS blog
((link to hbb sign-ups & instructions))
i have only done hbb once, in 2020, so it's not totally fresh in my mind, but i'll do my best to help! as far as i know (edit: confirmed by mods!) you don't need a dreamwidth account to sign up, although it does make it easier to post. you CAN just post comments anonymously, so long as you include your AO3 username in the comment itself
more stuff under the cut
so the broad structure of HBB is below, and i think just going incrementally deadline by deadline is the best way to tackle things for a beginner!
Sign-ups Open: Now! Mandatory Check-in/Primary Fanworker Sign-ups close: Monday, August 1 50% Draft Completion/Summary Submission: Wednesday, September 14 Summaries Posted For Viewing: Saturday, September 17 Summary Claims Open: Sunday, September 18 Posting Date Claims Open: Saturday, October 15 Mandatory Check-in for All Participants: Thursday, October 14 Posting Begins: Monday, October 31
stuff that might not seem obvious (also: always check with the mods! they are in charge)
not everyone posts at once, like in an exchange; you're assigned a date and they are staggered
a fifty percent draft doesn't actually need to be half of your fic, but half of the minimum, so 5k words! that said you do have to at least bullet-point plot out the entire thing, for the mods and for your secondary fanworker
as for other ~*insider*~ advice.... my HBB (a beam of your sun that banishes winter, aka fuckpriest) was co-written with @manybumblebees, which was the best decision i could have made personally! i know that co-writing isn't for everyone but even just to designate a cheerleader and handholder is a great to way to stay motivated and engaged as you work.
a big element of us finishing the story was really committing to 250 words a day, which is 1) not as hard as it seems at first 2) a great way to write more than your goal every day. it also allowed us to finish a complete draft with enough time to get some very thoughtful feedback from out beta and make substantive edits that helped make the story much stronger, which was a new and good experience for me, someone who lovesssss to finish at the last minute and then have a beta just check for spelling and grammar, el oh el.
one more piece of big advice is to be in communication with your accompanying fan-work-creator (ie artist, podficcer, etc), once you hit that stage! if you need more time or need more of a draft or need to drop out or anything, it's better to get in touch sooner than later.
also, it's a very cool thing to participate in a big bang and you should be proud of yourself for trying it!! have fun!!

Timeline Part 4 August 2022 - September 2022
Timeline part 4, Covering August 2022 - September 2022. For previous dates see part 3 here.
Only on August 1st 2022 the next picture was posted, from Zion National Park in the US, his hair was buzzed off. A fan pic in Wyoming on August 3 suggested he was doing a roadtrip through some national parks. Which the pictures he posted later on seems to confirm and made a dog the talk of the fandom.
On August 7 he was having a Live IG, book reveal, clearly in LA the hotel Shutters at the Beach in Santa Monica. A couple of days later (August 10) he posted a video about 24 hours in LV containing parts of a John Legend concert in LV. He attended that concert on August 6 as we found a number of pics and videos of other attendees and showing he was there with a woman. He was staying at the Wynn in Las Vegas on August 5&6 as also confirmed in a fan pic at Neiman Marcus in LV, posted on August 12 the fan confirming he was there the week before.
Meanwhile he was already in Mexico, like he told he'd go there in his live IG, as seen the first video by mezcalgirl on August 10, and a video and pics by himself, and his friend chiefmabooboo posting a final video showing they were at Hanky Panky in Mexico City where he was around August 15/16/17. He posted his first TikTok on August 21 but most likely was already back in
Tumblr media
LA recording the announcement for the Sassenach Gin coming in 2023 posted on August 24. Some claim this video was already recorded before he went to Mexico, but you could take a look at the Hair Timeline post I did about that. Though the order is not full proof it gives you a good indication of what he has been doing in the month of August in LV, LA and Mexico. Together with some more TikTok videos he posted later on but clearly located in Mexico and Venice, LA.
Meanwhile we saw schedules appearing from extras that showed filming started up again mid August. A TikTok showing the trailers posted by himself and nightshoots on the 1st and 2nd of September near Forestmills. And Duncarron being seen as a location for filming. So traveled back home somewhere the week before. A fan pic showing him for the first time since July without a hat at EDA on September 13.
More schedules of extras showed filming still going on in the week of September 19 at Kinloch Rannoch, confirmed by pictures him being there. Even though many speculated he was off, because of a TikTok video doing a hike was posted on Thursday 22 September.
However on Friday September 23 his friend Cree showed him in a video in London while a fan posted a fan pic at the National Theatre in London.
On the same date Midhope Castle was being prepared and trailers were spotted going there, while at the same time we know filming would take place at Forestmill according to schedules of extras.
On September 29 he had a live IG (from his house) with the Tasting Alliance.
Tumblr media
For October we saw he was filming something at Loch Lomond and on Conic Hill together with Valbo and we know he attends NYCC on October 8&9. Latest is the announcement of a book event in NYC on October 17. Before the launch of his new book on October 25, he'll be doing book events in Edinburgh and London on October 23 & 24. That's it for now.
I will keep documenting the future events in a timeline as well and post from time to time.
