congrats on finishing capman reki (i assume)! uhhh... i don't really have a prompt but i was curious about your pushing daisies au idea for enstars so if you'd like, maybe you could write something about it? i dunno.

(on another note, i think tumblr really likes eating notifs on my rbs of your responses to my asks? i think there's a couple questions a while back in other rb chains that might've gone poof. maybe i'll just send asks more often if you're alright with it)

Tumblr does eat a lot of notifs so yeah probably, could also be that I didn't have anything to say. But always feel free to send another ask as long as my askbox is open! Anyway, I actually HAD a thing written for pushing daisies au that I totally forgot I started so here it is kfjhsdfsd. My first thought for this was “rinne brings hiiro back to life and now he can never touch his brother again” but I thought that’d be too basic so instead I did this

“Duck!”

“Where?”

“No you idiot—Duck! Your brother is gonna walk in in five—”

Rinne dives behind the counter right before the bell chimes, signalling his brother’s entrance into the café. At the same time, Kohaku and Niki spin around to greet him.

“Good evening, Kohaku-san, Shiina-san!” comes Hiiro’s cheerful voice.

Niki’s smile only twitches a little, and he starts to say his usual “Welcome” when he’s cut off by Kohaku exclaiming, “Love-han?!”

“Kohakucchi,” says an unfamiliar, startled voice. “I didn’t know you worked in a café.”

“Oh, you two know each other?” says Hiiro.

“Yeah, we’re old friends!”

Rinne tilts his head up, as though he’d be able to look over the counter this way. Hiiro brought someone with him? Hiiro made a friend on his own? He squints up at Kohaku, noting the surprised yet pleased expression on his face. Whoever this person is, he must be something special. Rinne’s never seen that look on Kohaku’s face before. It makes him curious about what Hiiro looks like, too.

“Then I guess I only have to introduce you to Shiina-san!” Hiiro says. Rinne can practically hear the smile in his voice. “Shiina-san, this is my friend, Aira! Aira, this is Shiina Niki-san. He owns this café. Shiina-san and Kohaku-san knew my brother.”

“Shiratori Aira,” the friend, Aira, says. “Nice to meet you, Shiina-san!”

“You too,” Niki says. “How did you and Hiiro-kun meet?”

It suddenly becomes oddly silent. Niki’s professional smile falters.

“Aira picked me up after I… learned about Nii-san,” Hiiro says quietly. Rinne goes rigid. Niki’s eyes flicker downward, meeting his, before looking back up. “He helped me get back up. And now we’re roommates! He’s been teaching me a lot. I don’t know what I’d do without him.” There’s a bit of forced cheer in his tone, but the sentiment is real.

“I haven’t done that much, Hiro-kun…”

As the two begin a stupid debate over whether or not Aira has done a lot for Hiiro, Kohaku and Niki exchange glances. They don’t look down at where Rinne hides near their feet again, and he’s grateful for it. He doesn’t know what expression he’s wearing.

It’s incredible, in a way. Rinne was the one who left the village in search of something more, only to get himself killed. Hiiro left the village to chase after him, but he’s the one who’s been able to live. He decided to stay on his own instead of returning to the village, and now he has a friend and roommate. There are probably so many things he does outside of the café that he hasn’t talked about with Kohaku and Niki. Rinne… is glad. He’s so proud of him for getting this far, for being willing to step out of the absolute obedience of their village.

And all it took was for Rinne to run away and die.

“This is a lot of food for the two of you,” Niki is saying as Rinne starts to tune back in. At some point, they had moved on to ordering food.

“Aira and I are meeting some friends soon, so we’re getting food for them too,” Hiiro says. More friends. Rinne didn’t know.

“So you want this to go?”

“Yes please!”

“Alright, it’ll be ready soon.”

“Thank you!”

Rinne takes the time to crawl into the backroom as subtly as he can. Neither Niki nor Kohaku call him out on it. There's no use in getting upset now. He made his choice—and he doesn't regret a thing.

COLORS YES YES COLORS YES!! Ok so I think colors in character design is nice and good so I made my guys have v distinct colors. Killian is red bcs he's v outwardly emotional and kindof rude, Evan is blue bcs he's like. I don't wanna say she's (this was a typo at first but like. Fuck it. He/She evan time) not like emotional but she's definitely more quiet abt how he feels nd whatnot unlike Killian. ND then there's Ramona who I'm like. Starting off as greenish-blue ig?? She's mostly blue but she wears like. A green jacket a lot in the beginning of the story or whatever. And then there's Sarah who I'm starting off as pure yellow but gonna make more like. Orange-y as she gets closer 2 Killian bcs they're girlfriends. I also make Killian more orange-y but I forgot 2 mention that. Nd then Kelsey is purple. I don't think I have 2 explain that.

Nd like!! Their final designs r gonna b a lot more colorful bcs there's gonna b little snipits of the other guys' colors in their designs to like. Signify how close they've become yk? Evans og design kinda already has that w the red in 1 of her eyes 4 Killian nd Ramona has her green jacket 4 Sarah but those 2 r the only 1s who r like that

im gonna just hope that you’re familiar enough with the Running Blind canon that you have any fuckin idea who the brothers are because they make a pretty steady amount of appearance in this. i call spy by my head canon for his first name (Marcel) since he wouldn’t be called spy until he joined the team, and uhhh one or two other details in this are slightly off-base for the RB canon but like don’t worry about it i don't think it’ll come up

“Ma chou-fleur,” he greeted, sweeping her in with one arm and planting a kiss on her cheek.

“Marcel!” Ma chided, smacking him on the arm with a dish towel, practically jumping out of her skin. “You scared me! When did you get home?!”

“A few minutes ago,” he replied, smirking, sidestepping to give her access to the dishes she was cleaning off. “I see I missed breakfast.”

“Pot’s on the stove,” she said, ticking her head in the direction of said pot, which at a glance seemed to be full of oatmeal. “Oh, could you—?”

He was already on it, moving to lift the baby from the high chair to carry him against his hip. “Mon lapin, look at you, you’re old enough now that you don’t make such a mess,” he joked, picking up a napkin from the table and wiping off the corner of his mouth before moving to set him down by the couch where he had apparently been playing with blocks at some point. He immediately set to trying to climb the couch as best as his little legs could handle.

“Oh, did I tell you?” Ma asked over the sound of running water and an argument happening elsewhere in the apartment. “Jeremy’s walking now!”

“Already?” he asked, looking down at him with surprise. “He was trying last I saw, not making it very far.”

“Tony’s been helping him,” she laughed, washing off and setting aside the last dish and starting to work on the glasses.

“Ma, where’s my backpack?” called Jack, pulling on his jacket by the door and casting around.

“Ask your dad,” she called back, gesturing with her dish towel for emphasis.

“Not my dad,” Jack mumbled, brushing past him to kick around the couch.

“I know,” Marcel said, a little defensive. He glanced around. “Under the table.”

Jack didn’t say thanks, just picking up the backpack and moving out the door.

“Don’t forget your brother!” Ma called before he could shut it.

“Hurry up!” Jack called into the apartment, and Henry darted through the door after him a second later, one shoe only half-on, his hair a mess. Henry hardly had time to call a goodbye to them before the door shut heavily behind them.

Marcel sighed, and Ma gave him a sympathetic glance. The moment was cut short a little bit as another of the boys came into the living room and spotted him.

“Dad, when did you get home—?” Archie started asking, eyes lighting up.

“Je ne parles pas anglais,” Marcel said, raising an eyebrow at him.

Archie frowned, thought hard. “Uh. Quand... es, tu... rentré... à le mansion, papa?” he asked slowly.

“La maison,” he corrected lightly.

“La maison,” Archie repeated back.

“Bien!” he praised, smiling wide. “And only a few minutes ago.” He paused. “Are you going to come hug me or not? Make up your mind.”

Archie darted over to hug him tightly around the middle, and he returned it as best he could with the height difference.

“Why are you home early?” Ma asked, towelling off her hands, the last of the dishes rinsed.

“Business went very smoothly, I was able to book a flight for early this morning rather than late tonight,” he replied, and the glance between the two of them was enough to fill in the rest of the blanks. “The boys are all doing good?”

“Twins caught a cold,” Ma replied, wincing a little.

“Oh no!” he exclaimed, expression falling.

“Means I cancelled the babysitter and called for a day off,” she continued.

“Oh no?” he said next, raising an eyebrow at her and smiling a little.

“Don’t be gross,” Archie mumbled from his midsection.

“There is absolutely nothing gross about my being in love with my wife and enjoying spending time with her and my family,” Marcel said lightly, patting him on the head.

Archie grumbled about that, and he laughed. Ma shook her head and the both of them.

“Ah, but I nearly forgot!” Marcel said, and glanced off. “Collin!”

A pause. “What?” Collin called back hesitantly from the boys’ collective room.

“Get out here,” he called next, rolling his eyes a little.

A very considerable pause before Collin peeked out the door and looked at him. “Yeah?” he asked, expression already guilty. Archie pointedly went to go pay attention to the baby, helping him stack some blocks.

“Mon poulet, you would not happen to know what happened to my cufflinks, would you?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.

Collin didn’t maintain eye contact. “...No,” he tried.

“Oh. Well, perhaps you can go look for them wherever it was that you happened to “find” them last time they went missing,” he asked even more pointedly. “Maybe they ended up there again somehow.”

Collin nodded and disappeared again quickly.

“You know he keeps taking them because he misses you,” Ma said, voice hushed.

“Ma petite chou-chou, he keeps taking the one thing I only have one set of,” he replied. “If he stole ties like you do, it would be less of a problem.”

“I dunno what you’re talkin’ about,” she said flatly, and that got him to smile at least.

The sound of blocks falling. “Uh,” Archie said. “Oops.”

A pause of a second or two before Jeremy started crying.

Marcel was there in a moment, scooping him up to hold him. “Oh no!” he exclaimed, just as dramatic, tone full of just as much dismay as the crying baby, pressing comforting kisses to the side of his head. “Catastrophe! Calatime! Mon dieu, how could this happen?!”

Jeremy seemed distressed, holding his hand up close to his face protectively. There was a tiny knick where a block had fallen on the back of his tiny hand.

“Crushed by debris, horrible injury,” Marcel tutted, and pressed a few kisses to the injury in question. “Mon lapin, we have no choice but to amputate. Hopefully you will do well being left-handed.”

Jeremy seemed to be calming down quickly as he both realized that maybe he was actually okay and also that his dad agreed that the situation seemed kind of scary for a minute.

“Unless it seems alright? Perhaps you were really okay?” he asked pointedly, raising his eyebrows. “Maybe the world is not ending? The arm can be saved?”

Jeremy started to suck on his thumb, reached with his other hand to grab hold of his jacket.

“Ah, you’re just an actor,” Marcel teased, beeped his nose, shook his head when he giggled in response.

“Archie, sweetheart, could you help me out and dry the dishes while I check on your brothers?” Ma asked, two wet towels in hand as she moved towards the boys’ room.

“Okay,” Archie agreed, and Marcel continued to hold the baby for a few seconds before deciding to go say hello to the rest of the boys, putting him back down to play with his blocks.

The baby was not having any of it, making little noises of distress and not letting go of his jacket. “Mon lapin, yes, I love you too, but I do not want to take you in to see your brothers and get sick,” he chided. “You should stay out here.”

The baby made further distressed noises.

“How about I bring your brother to see you, he can teach you to walk some more, oui?” he tried. “Would you like to play with Tony?”

He seemed to be thinking very hard about that concept, but did not let go of his jacket.

“Okay,” he sighed, straightening up, still holding the baby. “Okay. We can both go. You’ve convinced me.”

“Losing an argument with a baby, I see,” Archie deadpanned from the sink.

“I want you to know that the amount of cheesy and romantic I can be with your mother is a sliding scale that only goes up,” Marcel drawled.

“Nevermind,” Archie said.

“That’s what I thought.”

and then they hold hands and make gruebe happen

tregear, seeing this, laughs and asks what do they think theyre doing? how interesting.

uhhh big fight, nobodys talking much except for tregear but its mostly just typical toku villain nonsense

OK end of the fight greubes big pose in front of the explosion “did you see that? this is the real power of our family!”

alright postfight

toi gets beamed out and katsumi gives him the baseball that toi had given katsumi all that time ago, saying that he thinks that toi should hold onto it for now. toi reunites with his mom and apologizes to her

katsu’s narration starts up again “in the end, am i ultraman? or minato katsumi? theres no right answer to this question. so, i can only go forwards little by little and create an answer for myself. i’ll go forwards, with my dream”

riku’s departure. he apologizes for inconveniencing the minatos, pega thanks them for the gifts. mom invites them to drop by if theyre ever in the neighborhood again and dad says that he’ll treat them to something(?) nice to eat next time too. riku says alright, see you next time, then. theres a lot of talking over one another but i think that theyre figuring out how to do a four person handshake for next time which is. adorable. riku says he’ll practice it as well!

katsumi again. theres ont thing he forgot to mention. you know that shitty doodle he did in the beginning of the film? dad actually put it on a shirt and it got wildly popular. katsumi approaches dad, who apologizes for not getting katsumis permission first, but thats not what katsumis here for. hes here to tell dad that hes decided that he wants to properly study fashion design. dad tells katsumi that hes got a designer friend currently living in milan, and asks if katsumi would like to be their student. (ARE YOU FORREALS-) katsumi says that he wants to try.

“our story ends here. by my dreams, and yours, have only just begun. laugh heartily, cry loudly. feel both the joy and pains of being alive. that’s what it means to be human.” ;w;

Homph I finished tri and I wrote down my thoughts as I was watching because I had too many funny shitposts and nobody to share them with bc charlie hasn’t watched tri yet

- ok. alright. ok. good. they’re dealing with kari’s emotions now instead of just. nothing.  ok. alright. cool.  Still dont like how obscure/”artsy” they’re being with it, this is digimon not kagerou project, but ok.

- Also. I stand by tk and kari being one of the few good straight ships in digimon.  just saying.

- I love how nobody believes tai is dead like.  They’re upset and worried but they’re also like “nah. he cant be. that fucking asshole just left us in our time of need” (actually only matt is the last one)

- I had thoughts but then the 02 kids happened and I entered another plane of reality.  I don’t feel real right now

- the only one I can remember is evil!gennai being a dumbass and being like “SUFFER AND SQUIRM YOU PATHETIC HUMANS AS YOU FIGHT OVER THE LAST SEAT” 1. humans are KNOWN for their ability to care for others you dumb obvious fuck and 2. is. is the entire tube going? because that tube can fit too people if they squish.  This isn’t a joke I’m serious it can.

- oh yeah also when i saw whomstever the fuck his name is (adult guy who i love but fuck names) and he was all bloodied i was like “its a cold day in hell when i see blood in digimon” (I think there was blood in an earlier ep but shh idc)

EP 3:

- didn’t nishijima start off as a fucking life coach to these kids.  What the fuck he was supposed to help them find a career not emotionally scar them by bloodily dying in front of one of them

- im realizing that the reason hackmon was always in his cloak, in the shadows, standing still is that they cannot animate him in any normal position for the life of him.  I drew him with better anatomy when i was 14 and didn’t have a tablet.  No seriously, look:

I didn’t say it wasn’t bad, you guys are just underestimating how bad the anatomy on this poor creature is.  Why cant ppl draw dracomon or hackmon correctly imma cry

the best part about these two screenshots is that they literally cut one to the other, first the first one to the second one and then it cuts back to the first one.  They were really proud of these stupid ass expressions.

Originally I was actually planning to be kinder to Tri than I expected.  Was very invested during it.  ‘Round the end of the last ep I realized hmmm no this isn’t working out.  Where are the 02 kids.  You should’ve brought them in to save the day.  That would’ve been SO cool and SO fun.  Fucking cowards.

god I’m kinda tired so I’m going to address a couple things I still had problems with, note that this isn’t everything it’s just everything I felt comfortable yelling about without rewatching past eps.  Like I forgot nishijima was all bloodied and presumably died in the last part until they brought it up and I was like “????” ALSO DID THE LADY WHO WAS HIS PARTNER OR W/E KILL HERSELF WITH THE GUN SHE FOUND, I JUST REALIZED LITERALLY AS I WAS TYPING THIS THAT SHE FOUND A GUN AND THEN I THINK IT CUT TO BLACK AND I’M

DID SHE FUCKING KILL HERSELF WHAT THE FUCK

anyways my problems:

1. They did joe. really dirty.  I’ll write a more proper rant on this sometime later (mostly bc charlie is MUCH better at talking about joe than I am) but basically I can tell you that his character development in the movies squandered his OG character development.  He’s basically an entirely different person.  Like Tri joe isn’t bad, besides being largely neglected (yes he has a whole half a movie to himself, no that doesn’t make up for it all), its just...not OG joe.  He’s a fine character just not the same character, and its NOT fine when you put the two together.

2. THEY DID THE 02 KIDS EVEN DIRTIER IM SO BITTER sorry you nostalgia-blind, money-hungry fucks at bandai, but the 02 cast is PART OF THE ADVENTURES UNIVERSE.  The only people who hate 02 are ones who like the characters but hate the mess of the storyline at the end, or are completely irrational and elitist about their love of the digimon series and would greatly re-evaluate their opinions if they watched the original series and 02 back to back.  They couldn’t even show them in some kind of group montage at the end??? Standing in the background when they call Mei???  Why couldn’t they call mei from a home phone also, but that’s a less important problem idc that much.  It was a cute scene besides the lack of 02 characters.  Whatever.  AND THE PROBLEM IS LIKE kari and tk?  This entire time???  Were like “oh they disappeared. oops” instead of being frantically searching for their lost friends???  Like i get tk and kari probably have fucking ptsd and can’t express any emotions because they watched important people die in front of their eyes at an incredibly young age but also 1. they didn’t address the ramifications of ptsd, so fuck that theory/excuse and 2. THAT??? WOULD ONLY MAKE THEM LOOK HARDER??? and put on a brave face as they look, but inside they’re so scared and so worried.  Not just “oh sweet, they were found/saved, theyre in the hospital but that’s fine” like WHAT theyre fucking assholes if that’s what they’d canonically do lmao.  God I am SO bitter over the ENTIRE thing with the 02 kids, it would’ve been BETTER if they were deleted from the fucking canon entirely.  Would I have still been bitter?  Yes.  But at least I wouldn’t be madder at TK and Kari too.

3. I stand 100% by the notion that Digimon is not and will never be cut out to be an adults’ franchise.  It wasn’t designed for adults, and it can’t be skewered towards adults.  These particular characters were designed for kids to relate to and find entertaining.  They do not work when placed into an adult setting.  Like, can you imagine a character like Ed from FMA going to the Digimon world?  I guess in a way that’s just Marcus but like.  Just imagine the FMA cast in Digimon Adventure.  It doesn’t work.  Digimon Tri is basically that except real.  Also Data Squad was darker than Adventure so my joke doesn’t even work.

I guess my primary point is that Tri isn’t mature enough of a setup for an adult audience.  It puts a focus on being “complex” and “philosophical” instead of working within Digimon’s constraints and making something good and adult out of that.  Like!  Digimon is a fucking TOY COMMERCIAL.  Don’t give me messages about the futility of human life.  I want bad puns and emotional characters.  That’s what Digimon has ALWAYS been, and ideally always will be.  Tri could’ve made itself more mature by dealing with the ramifications of the Digital World’s events, how it affected the kids psychologically and dealing with healing old scars.  It would’ve been a more mature take on a story we loved and would use things we loved about the story already - the fact that it took so much time exploring characters’ emotions and was surprisingly mature for the time - to make itself better.  You need to take the aspects that drew adults to the show and amplify them, not just slap on a complex story and unfunny dialogue and be like “oh this is fine, right?”

It’s not that Digimon can’t exist as an adult property, its just that if it repeats what Tri did, it’s got no merit and in my eyes the franchise is dead.  If it survives I guess I’ll be happy that people can still enjoy it but I find it unsustainable and unsatisfying to fans of the older series.  Tri is just a fuckfest of highly specific nostalgia that tries too hard to appeal to old fans without capturing what made the original series so magical, and in part thats because the original series WASN’T FOR ADULTS.  I don’t know about the Digimon Story games, bc they’re T-rated so perhaps they’re a better take on an adult Digimon story than Tri?  But you either need to make your own characters and lore specifically for an adult-oriented Digimon season, or perish.  Also, please make it a series and not a group of movies.  Getting four eps every 6-9 months was hell.

I stand by saying Appmon is a more faithful Digimon season than Tri to Digimon’s original spirit.  I believe it holds more potential for success than Tri and better embodies the spirit of the older Digimon seasons.  It’s dumb, its corny, it has horrible puns, but I LOVE it because it also has a deep dark story and emotional moments.  If you dislike Tri and you agree with things I said that make it unlikeable, I highly recommend giving Appmon a chance - if you watch a few episodes and think “oh yeah, I guess this is decent” you’re going to like it.  It’s everything Digimon has always been and hopefully always will be, just with a different concept.  And hopefully the end of the series doesn’t leave a sour taste in my mouth and I have to redact this statement haha since I’m not done with it yet, but I’ve heard good things about it so I’m hoping not so.

Overall, if you watch Tri, don’t get your hopes up.  It resolves everything okay-ish but it’s a pretty forgettable anime on its own and simply doesn’t work as part of the Digimon franchise.

I am, however, pretty interested in what evil!gennai said at the end about Diaboromon and Daemon.  It raises interesting questions about the timeline too.  We know Daemon is in the dark ocean, so perhaps that’s a hint at a future project?  (They did confirm a future project btw, in conjunction with tri being over)  But what about Diaboromon?  I dont believe that Our War Game (I think thats what its called?) took place after Tri, based on the outfits and ages and stuff, but I also don’t remember the movies that well.  Could Diaboromon still be out there too?  It’s interesting.

However, because of the lackluster performance of Tri, I don’t have my hopes up and I really hope that this “next project” goes in a different direction.  Although I guess if they include the 02 kids, I’ll be somewhat less salty...

Side note, did they ever explain why the gennais went evil?  Like ?  That’s a pretty important thing.  The gennais helped SAVE the human world in 02.  And I get that apparently Tri is ignoring 02′s ending but still.  It’s shitty, because Gennai was still a good guy in the original too (and also they cant just keep is younger look and act like 02 never happened)  MAYBE its something I missed but I dont think so.  God there’s just.  So much wrong with Tri.  I’m very displeased and very bitter and I wanna get back to Appmon asap.

It’s got good moments, its got bad moments, I dont know, I don’t care.  There’s nothing wrong with you if you like it, there’s nothing wrong with you if you don’t, and there’s nothing wrong with you if you flip flop and are split like me.  I just wish Tri fulfilled its potential instead of becoming a boring mess.

calista: they make a yuan ti rogue and put like… 18 points in dexterity, leaving every other stat at 9 or sth like that. they ignore battles, conversations, and crucial plot points - all they ever do is look for things to climb. they become increasingly more and more frustrated with each minute that passes. around halfway through the game they slam their hands on the table. “i’m sorry, but i’m starting to think you people don’t know how to play snakes and ladders,” they say

celestino: “uhhh i forgot my dice is it okay if i uhhh -” [pulls out one of those big fluffy pink dice you put in the windshield of a car].  also he does weird, nonsensical shit to see what’ll happen - not really out of a desire to be annoying, but because he accidentally built a character who sucks at everything but, idk, animal handling, so in order to be helpful to the group he really needs to think out of the box and try out strange things, like having a kangaroo carry your loot in its pouch (”we don’t even have to reach in and get it because the baby kangaroo will hand it to us!!”)

lesedi: starts off with a sorcerer. makes lore and perception checks on everything. (”you stand in front of a house–” the DM begins. “I ROLL FOR LORE”. nat 20. with a weary sigh, the DM pulls up the wikipedia entry for ‘house’). eventually, he multiclasses into ranger. then fighter. then cleric. at the end of the campaign he has at least one level in every class and the DM is just banging their head against the table and crying

niamh: every DM’s nightmare. she’s constantly tries to talk circles around the DM and confuse them into letting her do things she normally wouldn’t be able to do (like cast a warlock spell while being a plain fighter). she tries to cheat by bringing loaded dice; when called out on it, she reaches into her bra and pulls out more loaded dice. when called out on it again, she spends the entire session sulking and trying her best to derail the plot

safiya: she likes to pay attention to the smallest details and she’s good at thinking on her feet, so she’d actually be really good at it if she didn’t spend so much time trying to optimize her character and plan out the best possible strategy. at some point she realizes she’s taking it way too seriously and just… gives up. “i roll to seduce the dragon,” she says, while absentmindedly juggling her dice. “you dont speak draconic, safiya”. “i dont need to speak draconic to show it THESE TIDDIES”

i very deliberately went for a military uniform bc uhhhh. its xephos dude

his uniform strongly resembles (see: i fucking stole it) a legitimate? military ranking system. i forgot to change th uniform because by the time i drew it i forgot it wasnt original

this uniform in particular means some rank thats “less than captain” or smth. the actual proper captains uniform would have been ideal, however, it required a cape-like fashion that was over the left shoulder; something i used for faux lalna’s design (COMPLETELY unintentionally)

also very strongly based off of my comment when the “updated” yogs skins first came out: i said som shit about how he looked like the nutcracker

his body works similar to sardonyx’s from su. i rly rly wanted him to be able to twist parts of his body 360 degrees (or more). so he’s got 3 main body segments: his head + torso, his..... other 2 arms, + his legs

the torch was replaced with the sojourners staff. the sojourners staff is a minecraft mod item that allows you to place torches from a distance - it was, generally, more fitting to the red/gold Aesthetic(tm) faux xephos has going on (also, i just love that item lmao)

his two swords should ALSO be similar to the “rift blade” from the dimensional doors mod (a personal favourite for a weapon xephos would have, and something a lot of ppl were into - xephos having a blade that would open up rifts in space). unfortunately i’m very lazy and don’t want to draw swords. if faux xephos attempted to open a rift in space (idk if i Want him to) he wouldnt be able to use it to transport HIMSELF since hes too big

he has wheels instead of feet because i said so

ADDITIONALLY, if faux xephos was ever paired w faux honeydew (which im debating), it’d be very similar to this part of ck9c’s “you can’t hide” (the following 45 seconds)
