Winter concpets.....

(these first ones are At Least a year old 😭😭😭)

First up, a Winter Sharena concept!

And a little comic about it

The last panel would have been Sharena begging to "steal Alfonse's body warmth" while Alfonse subtly/sarcastically teases her about it, Moe trailing behind them (I lost steam/focus though 🥲)

This was The Year Of Bruno as well, and I was testing out/playing with the scenario presented (From the Tempest Trials and from what Winter Bruno says, it seems Alfonse and Sharena spent the holiday together while the Summoner was spending it with Bruno the Envoy)

(funny aspect of this is I don't even really enjoy "why does so and so call you babygirl" jokes anymore LMFAOOO like. Nothing wrong w em and was a decent set up here, but Moe would Not Fucking Say That skskksk) (also you can Tell this is Early On in Moe's development bc its fangs aren't even piercings 😔)

This year I Did revisit Winter Concepts, espp wanting to redo my Idea of a winter Moe who's helping out Bruno with Envoy Duty

All it needed was to become more of a furry and some loose BDSM gear inspo 👍 I was also thinking about a few different things! Like how Bruno's fit is literally just his regular outfit with some Santa suit on top LMFAO. But I was also thinking about how Moe is probably not meant to be recognized here? If it is hanging out with Bruno? Who is actively avoiding being seen by Alfonse and Sharena? So Moe keeps the shoes/tights, but little else!

Final version would have most closely resembled this one!

Once again I'm parsing how okay well how are they interacting with each other. What's the vibe here?

I wanted to draw a bigger piece of them hanging out, maybe spending the night together by the fire with hot cocoa after a hard day's work (again thinking about how it's implied the summoner spent the holiday separately from Alfonse/Sharena). I may revisit the concept again, I feel like there's a lot of potential story-focused comic wise here.... and a lot of set up for some funny conflict later.

okay now my unbearable essay

so basically. I think the mc's first weird thing that they did was wanting to know what aventurine was saying in his sleep and not just asking him LMFAOOO instead they fucking went about learning it in a roundabout way, without his permission, and just did not care about his boundaries gkdhdsldhsmsj

but while that is whack dishonest behaviour, the real crux of the manipulation in this dynamic is that the reader gave the impression to aventurine that he would be able to understand them better via language exchange, but they set him up for failure in this regard. from the outset, they had no intention of revealing anything about their inner world to him because they planned to deceive him in their native tongue. on the other hand, through learning aventurine's mother tongue, they are able to access a deeply vulnerable part of him. and they do it without him knowing.

so they use this knowledge of his mother tongue and his weakness to it to manipulate him into treating them better: crying in it to gain his pity (just as they did with their captors) and asking for gestures of affection using his language because they know he can't say no. they can use his first language to control him, but aventurine cannot do the same. it's very one-sided.

but as you said, it's ultimately a bid for connection. and they resort to this behaviour to achieve connection because, put frankly, aventurine has already created a one-sided dynamic where he has killed any potential for true connection. like tl;dr he really does treat them like garbage 😭😭😭 the mc just got kinda tired of that and wanted to girlboss him back so that he'd be actually affectionate to them. though they also just want to find a way to make him happy.

Witches are born with their abilities, which are hereditary. Families of magic tend to run in blood families.

The four families are Clairvoyance, Composure, Naturalism, and Rooking. Then each family has subtypes.

Clairvoyants can be Seers, Scryers, Mediums, Oracles, or Visionaries. Seers have premonitions, Scryers can commune with crystals, Mediums can commune with the spiritual plane, Oracles can survive being possessed, and Visionaries can see potential futures (much like Garnet from SU, if you've seen that).

My MC's family, the Alfaros, are all Clairvoyants. Eddie (MC) is a Seer, Fred (main support) is a Scryer, and Angel (their dad) is a Medium. Dido (their mom) is [redacted] 🤫😉

Composers use the senses to make their magic. They can be Magicians, Affectionists, Arbitrors, Guardians, or Hedonists. Magicians use sound to make magic, like incantations or music. Affectionists use other people's emotions to make magic. Arbitrors uses physical touch. Guardians use material components. Hedonists use the stimulation of their own senses. (These will probably change tbh, but I don't have any characters who are any of these so I might not bother refining them lol.)

Naturalists use natural phenomena to make magic. They can be Elementalists, Necromancers, Strangers, Emenants, or Therianthropists. Elementals are basically like benders from ATLA, where they have a particular "element" of earth, air, water, or fire that they can manipulate telekinetically. Necromancers do the same with death and the dead. Strangers can steal, trade, or be gifted the physical features of another person. Emenants can manipulate other witches' magic, or the ambient magic of their surroundings. Therianthropists can take on the aspect of an animal, with the animal's permission.

Lily (main villain) is a Stranger. Ferris (minor support) is an Elementalist, specifically a Tectonist or someone with power over earth. Maddie (First Girl) is [redacted] 🤫😉

Rooks can manipulate the perceptions of others. They can be Augurs, Imprintors, Idols, Illusionists, or Hexists. Augurs can attract, manipulate, and even temporarily make true superstitions. Imprintors can manipulate people's impressions and memories of them. Idols can extremify people's emotions (i.e. like into love, indifference into hate). Illusionists can make imitations of inanimate objects. Hexists can give good or bad luck.

Toots (minor support who may or may not get a spin-off?) is an Augur. Anca (minor support) is an Imprintor. Evan (secondary villain) is a Hexist.

Each different subtype is actually inspired by real-life cultures or traditions. For example, the Augur is inspired by Italian Catholics lmfaooo. I don't remember all of the inspirations anymore, I probably should have written them down.

Anyway, yeah! That's my favorite part (so far).

DBH OC - PR300 aka the Percy Series

Percy is a newly and discreetly released android, the PR300 model, created by Cyberlife. Its goal is to assist humans in counter espionage missions by offering them technological advancements and a separation from life threatening danger. She is also equipped with a social module designed to blend in seamlessly amongst humans and present as such.

The Percy series is capable of adapting their skills to suit a situation. If not specifically ordered, they are able to assess whether presenting as a human or an android would be more likely to produce a successful outcome for a mission. They are the only model that has been granted permission to remove their LED or android indicators without specific human authorization if relevant to their case.

The Percy Series is also equipped with a physical simulation software based on the analysis of elements from a situation. Therefore, PR300 can reconstruct past events by cross checking evidence at her disposal as well as preconstructing events that may occur. Thusly allowing her to react most fittingly.

Dependent on the severity of the mission at hand, Percy’s memory data may be wiped to avoid sensitive information from being intercepted. If capture occurs, the PR300 will fully wipe all system information and shut down.

Due to the nature of security surrounding her model, PR300 is unable to interface fully, in such a way that another android can view her data, unless granted manual clearance by a human handler.

The first time the PR300 was used is classified.
