Will add colours and polish it of course but I am quite happy with how it looks so far

Continuing with the Doctor Who rewatch, and it’s already “The End of the World” in episode 2?! Holy Hannah.

Not only does the writing improve, the characters are more real and rounded. They play against each other and the chemistry between The Doctor and Rose is that much stronger. Also loved the flirtations with Jade played by Yasmin Bannerman, (poor Jade) but it did make me wonder. Why no alien companion in the newer series? Hmmm.

Things to note: we hear the utterance of “Bad Wolf” more on that later, and we meet the “Face of Boe” who I’m pretty sure we see more of in season 2. Also Lady Cassandra voiced by the fantastic Zoe Wanamaker makes an appearance and even though she’s a bit thin on material comes off just a touch better than Jade who is a bit wooden… yeah dad jokes a plenty.

The final takeaway from me here was we see the Doctor be a bit vindictive. The villain needs saving but the Doctor has lost a friend and nearly two and he’s pissed and still deep in his anger. He mentions a bit more back story to Rose in the closing moments and it’s clear from the get go the Doctor is carrying a lot of baggage. Something they will maintain for years and faces to come.

Special effects were great but they did blow a lot of the season’s budget. Worth it.

If I was scoring, and I guess I am, it’s a four out of five. Not too shabby at all.

JORDAN LORE LETS GO

Genuinely spent their life up until they were about 17 caring more about aliens and space than dating

Prefers to be the helper rather than the helped- making the time they were recovering and the time they were homeless a difficult strain on their pride and overall demeanour

Absolute mess for yasmin khan. Yasmin khan can exist and boom Jordan's legs and heart are wide open for her to do whatever she likes

Definitely needs therapy (they're getting it off screen)

Theatre is something they're drawn to because it means they can bring to life the kind of world's their imagination would make up as a kid

Luke Smith and Jordan were thick as thieves when they were younger. Sarah Jane would often come home to find them playing in the attic of 13 bannerman road playing Fort battles, digging for bugs in the garden and later discussing scientific theory and doing their homework together late at night

Luke actually took Jordan to their first ever play- he was part of a student union production in his first year at sixth form and since witnessing the show Jordan decided it was something they'd like to go into

Once when Jordan was little they accidently smashed a glass on the floor and didn't sweep up all the tiny shards properly. Their mother stepped on a bit that then got stuck in her foot causing her some pain for some time. When it happened Jordan felt bad, as they grew older they hoped whenever the shard of glass pinched at one of her nerves she was reminded of the child that survived her

The tattoo on Jordan's arm is a reminder to them that humans are mere specs of dust to the universe and isn't it beautiful to be such a small but significant part of it and that life is truly theirs to make the most of otherwise you'll get caught up in the scale of things and what's the point in that?

They also just think the tattoo makes them look fit

Their house that they have now- the safe loving environment that's bright and covered in tiny details that help them express themself- is exactly what they dreamt of as a kid. The fact yaz is there to share it is simply a bonus

Prefers autumn and winter

Ruined their first kiss by explaining how bacteria is exchanged from mouth to mouth directly afterwards

Is a boobs man

So I'm making a post on black and biracial actors in Doctor Who, The Russell T Davies Era ;)

Let's go! (This is long)

Firstly we have Noel Clarke as Mickey Smith the boyfriend to main companion Rose Tyler. He does most of the heavy lifting for black representation in Series 1 and 2 if there are no other prominent black characters within the episode. He is in Rose, Aliens of London, World War Three, Boom Town and The Parting of Ways in Series 1, The Christmas Invasion, New Earth, School Reunion, The Girl In The Fireplace, Rise of the Cybermen, The Age of Steel, Army of Ghosts and Doomsday for Series 2. He returns in Series 4 in The Stolen Earth, Journey's End and The End of Time Part 2.

Next up, we have Yasmin Bannerman as Jabe, the Tree Lady from The End of the World. She was very cool, sultry and mysterious. I loved her interaction with Christopher Eccleston, especially how she handles her knowledge of who the Doctor is and the significance.

Then in Aliens of London and World War Three we have the first appearance of Lachele Carl as an unamed newsreader, later revealed to be in Trinity Wells. Apart from David Tennant as The Doctor, she is the only character to appear in all four series.

Following her, we have Christine Adams as Cathica in The Long Game, who I always remembered because she is so damn pretty and had sickening cornrows.

Then we have Patterson Joseph as Rodrick in Bad Wolf and The Parting of Ways and Abie Eniola as Crosbie in Bad Wolf. Crosbie isn't in it for very long but is a pretty convincing ordinary Big Brother housemate, and Rodrick was pretty much the epitome of every man for himself.

Onto Season 2 we have Chu Omambala as Major Blake and a other appearance from Lachele Carl.

Next we get Anjoa Andoh as Sister Jatt. We don't get her as a visible black character though, as she is a Cat Nun in this episode.

Then in School Reunion we have Eugene Washington as Krillitane under the guise of teacher Mr Wagner and he is sufficiently menacing.

Ninth Doctor Favourite Scenes

So I’m on to the 11th Doctor now and I’m feeling really nostalgic for the 9th Doctor so much. So I thought I’d include some of my favourite moments of the 9th Doctor that I don’t see talked about nearly enough. So without further ado (and in no specific order) here it goes:

1) The End of The World, the scene between him and Jabe in the corridor

That scene when Jabe tells him how sorry she is and his response... it was so masterful. First of all, you can hear the remorse and sincerity and mourning in her voice so clearly, she really is sorry about what happened to Gallifrey and the Time Lords. Even though she’s clearly in awe of him that he still exists, she’s also so dreadfully sad too. And his response is amazing because he’s silent but his actions emote so much. The way he holds her hand in thanks for her apology is so well done and that one tear that falls off his face. I always think it’s so impressive when actors can make a single tear fall and Christopher Eccleston did it so well. Also I kind of love the way the Doctor lets himself feel the pain for a few seconds, lets himself mourn his planet for a few seconds and then immediately turns to save the day. Because he doesn’t have time to mourn and grieve and look back on those he’s lost, he has the whole universe to save. It was such a Doctor-like thing to do

Shout out to Christopher Eccleston and Yasmin Bannerman for their excellent performances.

2) Father’s Day, the initial conversation between him and Rose about saving her dad

I can’t find any gifs to show the scene so I’ll just show you the transcript

“ROSE: That's what Mum always says. So I was thinking, could we, could we go and see my dad when he was still alive?

DOCTOR: Where's this come from, all of a sudden?

ROSE: All right then, if we can't, if it goes against the laws of times or something, then never mind, just leave it.

DOCTOR: No, I can do anything. I'm just more worried about you. ”

It’s such a small moment but I love it. The fact that at that moment he isn’t worried about time or space or anything, he’s just worried about Rose Tyler. Because he’d promised that he’d take care of her and that means her mental state too. He’s asking because he loves her and wants her to be happy and he doesn’t want to ever do anything that will risk that happiness. And I also love it because yet again, he’s showing off to her with the whole “I can do anything”, he’s still so keen to impress her.

3) The Doctor Dances, Everybody Lives Scene

This scene is in no way underrated and there’s a reason for it. I feel like it encompasses all that joy and compassion that Nine has that everyone seems to conveniently forget about. Yes, he was in a lot of pain so he had a lot of rage inside of him but he was also capable of such happiness and at this moment I was so happy for him. For the Doctor that killed his world and millions of people, I was happy that for once there were no casualties, that he truly could save everyone.

4) Boom Town, Rose and Nine hug

It’s just fucking adorable. They are both genuinely so excited that she finally got it right and it’s just such a precious little thing but sometimes it’s the little moments that have the most impact. Also, he lifted her off the ground- that’s how happy he is. It’s so adorable.

I could probably go on but best I leave it there ‘lest I end up listing every single scene of his because goddamn I love him so much and miss him so much. He was such a fantastic doctor.

Here’s a rare pic of my face, and also Mr W., to the right of the pic. The unintelligible signature above Sally Knyvette is Stephen Greif’s - he was very unhappy with it, and blamed the pens. Brian Croucher thought that he and Sally looked like members of the local conservative party, and Sally thought this picture of her is terrible. She was speaking to Mr. W at the time, and the photographer caught her with her mouth open. Michael was lovely and told me I had a nice jumper.

The two people between Jan and Brian are Big Finish actors Alistair Lock and Yasmin Bannerman. I’m sure they’re also fabulous, but I haven’t heard any of their stuff.

Just look at me beaming! This pic makes me so fucking happy. I am such a huge nerd.

Today’s big Big Finish announcement:

Sir Derek Jacobi (!!!) is reprising his role as the War Master for a boxset during the Time War (!!!), with four stories by Nicholas Briggs, James Goss, Guy Adams, and Janine H Jones.

The ninth installation in the Gallifrey series will be called Gallifrey: Time War (!!!!) and feature Romana II and Leela in a Gallifrey on the brink of collapse.

Tales of New Earth (?!?!) will feature Adjoa Andoh, Yasmin Bannerman, and Anna Hope in New New New New New New New New New New New New New New York.

I’m surprised I haven’t seen anything here about the latter two releases because I’m equally excited for all three, TIME WAR x2 AND JACOBI AND NEW EARTH AHIQIGWOQG GET HYPE
