All Alucard could do was deny that you held no ill will towards him. He had found you when you were running from a cultist like group, ready to burn you alive just for learning older sciences, he could only laugh at the bitter irony. Your legs were whipped and tired, your chest was bruised and the rest of your body was worse than you could have imagined, and so he took you in when he knew you were not a threat. Or would be conscious for a good while.
"I seem to only get more and more desperate for heartache, don't I?" He whispered to himself as he looked to you, your body was freshly cared and cleaned for, and yet he found on the other end of the room near the opened door. His fear that gripped his heart made him feel like a child, wanting to be held and cared for by those around him, yet cannot seem to overcome going up to an adult for help.
When you woke up days later, cleaned and cared for, your body aching like never before- and the man in the room staring at you like you had just killed his mother in front of him, full of shock and fear. Speaking with him in this stage of your relationship was scarce, only what needed to be said was put into the air, either met with silence or acknowledged with muted nods and small hums.
*****
Alucard was never known for his temper. He was a sweet and gentle boy according to his parents, something he wished to be after seeing his mother be... her, he was never to freak or lash out on those around him. When he realized this, it had been to late, his hands were running through his hair as tears slipped effortlessly from his eyes- curled in his bed with his knees to his scarred chest. He had been helping you walk more, working on your legs and helping them gain muscle, when you had fallen near him while he fell as well.
You both had slipped due to the old rugs folds getting caught in his foot, making him slam onto his back while you managed to land on your knees, and when you turned to see if Alucard was alright he looked at you in pure fear. He shook as he saw you on your knees, on his right side, like her. Just like she was when they both locked him onto his bed, tied with the burn of silver, looking at him with such hate and disgust.
Your eyes held worry though. Worry for his well being. Care. Your heart was opening up. But in that moment, he saw back to that night, her. His face contorted into anger, yelling at you while his lungs burned for air, profanities settled into your mind as he was cursing your existence.
"I trusted you! Gave you everything! And here you are again, having me on my back, a knife to my fucking heart!" He was leaning upright at this point, while you crawled backwards away from him, the fear evident in your eyes but he didn't see. It wasn't you at that moment. It was the flickering image of Sumi and Taka.
Once he had caught his breath, he closed his eyes, hands coming to his hair as he shook violently. You realized what was happening, your father was a soldier and suffered from delusions like this, and your mother would come running to anchor him back into the present once his past came to torment him again.
"Breathe. Alucard, breathe. Evenly. Exhale longer than when you inhale, please." You coached him gently, your hands in front of you in case he were to look up, you weren't a threat to him- he knew that. You told him when to inhale and hold, before letting out the breath that wavered less and less. You needed to anchor him back to the present, he wasn't seeing you yet, but you would make him to help with his sanity.
His breathing evened but tears still came, flowing against the flushed pale skin, and you made your way closer to him. You held out two fingers, mimicking your parents, and waited for him. He saw, and pulled out two gloved fingers to wrap around yours, his shaking would start to still after a few moments.
*****
You hadn't seen Alucard in two days, his mind was taking its toll on him, and you managed to figure out the basics of his situation. His mind was sending him back to the most stressful moments of his life, the wound on his mind hasn't been stitched and is now bleeding into his daily life.
You wanted to learn how to help people mend their minds, ranging from trauma to genetic ailments, the human mind was so vast and complicated so of course it drew you in. In doing so, you met an old vampire in Athens, she was kind and sweet- teaching philosophy and medicine to those she knew would use them appropriately.
Alucard was depressing himself further into his mind, and you needed to help him, though helping him would need to be paced. He needs time and luckily you both have plenty of it. You made your way around the castle and found a few empty notebooks (not wrapped in human skin), a few books on meditation and spiritual awareness, and some recipe books next to fictional ones that held important meanings on self worth.
Should you be looking through his things?
You didn't care. He needed help.
You then split the books into two piles, one for Alucard to journal in and write all his thoughts in and the other for you, to write tips and other important information for Alucard to read so he can understand what is going on and how he can help himself cope with his own mind. The books that helped with meditation would help him order his thoughts and understand how to calm himself in case he couldn't find an anchor, (you hoped the spiritual awareness would be a plus? Dracula had lots of books so it wouldn't hurt.), and books of things you thought he'd enjoy in general when he needed an escape.
Once all was finished, you placed everything into a small net bag, limping your way to the kitchen, you decided the man needed something to eat. After all, food made everyone happy, right? Right. A simple dish of grilled chicken and veggies, with a side of mash potatoes and some water, you slung the bag on your shoulder and made your way to his room.
You didn't hesitate to knock, but you made sure it was soft and non demanding, before calling his name in the same manner. You heard shuffling, but the door never opened and you never were welcomed in, but you knew you needed to intervene and help boost Alucard onto a support line.
"I'm coming in, in a few moments, so if you need to ready yourself please do, Alucard." You heard nothing on the other end, and waiting for about two minutes with your head against the door, you pushed it opened slowly to allow yourself into the dhampires room.
*****
When you had managed to get Alucard fed and on a routine to help himself more and more each day, he had apologized to you for the outburst, and decided that leaving you on your own when you had trouble walking was not the best idea. He was surprised you accepted his apology and brushed his actions off, deciding to help him instead, it was a reaction different than what he had expected.
Allowing himself to be near you much more often, he opened up a bit after a week of sitting by your side, setting you into the nine circle of his mind. You peeled back the shallower layers at his pace, setting him for a more favorable way of opening his heart and mind up, and seeing how he thought and felt about everything.
He was intriguing and intelligent, you found yourself tearing through your own heart just to open up and show him the exposed muscle, opening yourself up to him inevitably as he did to you. He felt warmth bloom in his chest that only rose up when he was in your presence, and while you helped him heal the wounds inside him, he continued to help you heal and gain your strength back physically.
A mutually beneficial relationship is all.
        Yeah, no.
It was a puppy love shrouded in pain and betrayal that was settled into an old wound, the bleed has now stopped, and the clotting had begun, a deep scab was there before the skin would over take it in a tough light pink blanket. There was healing when there used to be a knife digging itself deeper into the soft flesh.
*****
"Do you plan on leaving?" His voice was soft and scared, his breath was shaky while pale arms wrapped tightly around your waist, the sheets covering the both of you blanketed the intimate scene of a boy begging for the girl to love him back- to not leave him, though he thought he deserved it, it started to become less of a thought on his mind.
He accepted himself for what he is and what he has done.
He knows what he wants and what he needs.
You were on the top of both lists.
He was being selfish, but you told him that was good, he was learning how to realize his worth in what he wants. He was still respectful of any decisions you made, but he begged everything in the universe for you to say no, no you wouldn't leave him. You wouldn't abandon him, you'd stay and love him as you do now, and for the rest of your time together.
"Depends." You chuckled, rubbing his arms that were secured on your waist, your eyes were closed as you felt him curl around you.
"Depends?" He mumbled into your hair.
"Do you wish for me to stay?"
What? Of course, he wanted you to never leave him, and he was sure he never gave the impression of being disinterested. Hell! The position you were in now speaks for itself! He sighed, realizing you were just teasing him, and settling his mind down.
"Of course. I never want you to leave."
        "Then I never will."
His heart had burst at the affirmation of love, a tear slipped from his eye as he smiled wide, the supernova in his soul sparked his love for you to become brighter and stronger.
        "Thank you."

Part 1 - Part 2 (coming soon)
─⊹⊱✫⊰⊹─
Tumblr media
A beautiful woman wearing a worn black dress had come into your room. You were just laying there on your wooden bed cushioned with pillows. You were hot and breathing through your mouth because of how stuffed your nose has become.
Your throat was also closing and breathing through your mouth was incredibly painful. From your watery eyes, you saw that all the woman in front of you could do is cry.
“(y/n). I know you’re in a lot of pain. I don’t know how you could get so sick as a baby. None of the medicine I created is working for you.” She whispered as she gripped crescents into her palms. “I have to contact Lisa.”
Lisa was like an aunt to you. She and your mother were best friends since they were children. You were born sick and always struggling and she took care of you with “science” she says it’s called.
Your mother studied “science” too. Lisa and your mother would work together and exchange notes. They put their minds together and created a medicine for that going to fight the virus growing inside of you. Or- it was supposed to.
It didn’t seem to be working…at all.
You were dying.
Lisa has informed your mother that she looked to Dracula for guidance in her research. You didn’t know what any of these words meant because you were too young.
Your mother walked over to your bed, resting her hand on your forehead. You were burning up. She changed the towels, putting a cool one that was folded neatly in the place of the last one.
You were unable to talk but you managed to utter:
“Mother…”
This made her heartbreak. She had to help you. She had to do something to save you. She couldn’t watch you die.
She gave you water before saying “I’ll be right back. Don’t try to get up. Keep all of your strength.” She then quickly got up, putting on her long black coat with a hood and disappearing out the door.
She went to Dracula’s castle. There was only one thing she could think of that would save you.
After she had arrived, she banged on the enormous doors that would keep normal humans out of the castle. “Dracula! Lisa! Please!” She shouted.
It was only seconds later that the doors had opened, Dracula appearing before her.
“What is it that you want?” His tall form peered down at her. Usually, it would frighten someone but she was too determined to be scared right now.
“I know that Lisa is here. I need her o-or you to help me. My daughter is dying and even with your research she’s not getting better.” Her eyes began to well up with tears.
Next to Dracula emerged Lisa. “Elenwyn? What are you doing out here? What’s wrong?” She ran over to your mother, embracing her.
At this point, your mother was too choked up to talk so Dracula answered for you. “She says that her daughter is dying and none of the remedies you’ve made from my teachings has worked at all.”
Lisa gasped. “Really? There’s nothing that you can do? Dracula?” She turned to him who had been unphased by the situation. He didn’t know your mother so he had no reason to be sad.
“I only have one idea that could save her. You’ll call me crazy but (y/n) is all I have left. I promised her father that I would protect her now that he’s gone. I can’t watch her die!”
“An idea? What is it?” Lisa asked in a calming voice. She thought that it was best to be a rock when she needed it.
“Dracula can cure her illness by turning her into a vampire.”
Yes, of course, it was insane. Dracula refused. His blood was most pure, he couldn’t just…give it out. What was she thinking?
Your mother begged. Offering her blood to him in exchange for saving you. She had even brought her own suicide weapon, telling him that she’d give him her blood. Lisa tried to fight her for control of it.
“Elenwyn, no!” Lisa cried.
Surely, one of you fragile humans would get hurt and if it were Lisa, he couldn’t have that at all.
He took the blade from her, breaking it in two and casting it away. “I’m not interested in your blood.” He said coldly.
Elenwyn gulped at his intimidating nature. The fear was beginning to set in. “Then how would we save her…?”
Lisa exhaled, having held in all the breath from attempting to disarm her best friend. “Dracula, I think you should do it. (y/n) just as big as Adrian. How would you feel if he were sick like that? We’re parents too.” She went to his side, hugging him and burying her face in his tall form.
In the end, Dracula had done so. He cured your incurable illness with his vampire blood. Your blood cells were overwhelmed and infused with his. The process was painful but when it was over, you were strong and healthy.
All your life you’ve struggled with being sick. Now there were no fevers, no coughing or vomiting. You were just a normal girl. It’s just that, you couldn’t stay with her anymore.
The Priests were too prominent and nosy. Your mother had prepared you to live with Alucard and his child son. She didn’t mind if you two had to live apart. As long as you lived.
The settled repayment was being taken under Dracula’s wing and learning the trade of a doctor. He could always use more helpers.
You didn’t like being away from your mom but you learned to like living with Dracula. You saw your mother almost every day and you got to play with Alucard. You mostly called him Adrian, though.
You expected him to be pushy and ruthless due to his nature of having a father of such power but Adrian was gentle and reminded you of Lisa. This made you gravitate towards a lot more and the boy began to like you too.
It was clear that he had feelings for you. The older the two of you got, the most he realized it. You were such a beautiful woman. Your hair has grown to be soft. He wanted to touch it but he didn’t want to be invasive.
Your vampire claws had grown and obtained the color of faint pink and you typically wore a corset dress that hung off the shoulders. It hugged your curves beautifully.
You figured out that Adrian had begun to like you when he would come to wake you every morning with food and a cup of blood. He made sure not to let any sunlight in that would harm you.
“You know, Adrian, there’s no need to come in so early since I have no reason to be up.” You giggled at his antics. Your gentle laugh always made him blush so much.
“I’m aware but how would you look sleeping all day and then poking around at night?” He answered, sitting at the foot of your bed as you ate.
“I see. Well, it’s kind of you to bring me this stuff without asking. Is there a reason?” You smiled at him, cocked an eyebrow his way.
Wasn’t it obvious? Did you really not know or were you just trying to get him to say it?
“Why else?”
“You’re unusually nice. I wouldn’t expect such kindness from someone as pretty as you.” You laughed again.
Wait,
Pretty?
You called him pretty!
“Why is that?”
“Well, why would a pretty person pay attention to me?” At this point you had finished your breakfast, slowly sipping the glass full of blood.
Adrian cleared his throat. “Maybe because that ‘pretty person’ likes you.”
You tilted your head at him. “Really?”
Once he realize what he had said, he brought his hand up to the top of his head, raking his fingers through his hair. “I thought it was obvious.” He uttered, turning away. He didn’t want to see your negative reaction.
“It was.”
Ah.
“How long have you noticed?”
You sat the used dishes aside, hopping out of bed and sitting at the end part next to Alucard. “It’s hard to tell. You lose track of time as a vampire. I stopped counting the days. It’s been a while, though.” You told him. “I like you too, Adrian. You’re the kindest man I’ve ever known. Before you, I knew nothing but sadness.” You rested your head on his shoulder as you spoke.
You both found this comforting.
“Your father took me in and trained my mother. I was a sick girl who was already ridden for death and my mother was a kind soul who had lost her mind while taking care of me. Here, you’ve taught me how to wield a sword and learn magic. I owe you everything. Since the beginning, I’ve seen you as more than just a roommate.” You explained. No part of you felt like crying. You were just happening, even while visualizing the horrible memories because you were happy.
“I wish your father could see how much you’ve grown.” That was all he said.
He felt bad that you never really got to meet your father. He was killed but your mother never told you how or why.
“I’m sure he can see me. That’s what I tell myself as a way of coping.”
You then began to caress his face with your claws. You enjoyed looking at him a lot. His appearance was unique. You traced romantic shapes into his skin and he let you. He wanted to ask what you were doing but it would surely ruin the moment.
When you were done, you grabbed his chin, bringing his face closer to yours.
“Did you know that I think about kissing you a lot?” His expression was straight and showed no sign of changing. His eyes were looking downward, at your lips.
“I didn’t know that at all.” Your face turned a deep shade of red.
Alucard’s eyes became half-lidded and he closed the distance between the two of you and you did so as well.
He pressed his lips to yours, grabbing the arm by the wrist that was holding his chin. He removed your hand and intertwined your fingers. You were really kissing Adrian!
It felt like a dream, being romantically involved with the half-vampire prince. Son of Dracula!
His father may have seen you as a peasant girl he helped by turning but after many times of Adrian, venting to his father and gossiping with his mother about you, he warmed up to you. Lisa made him very soft and likable.
You pulled away from Adrian for air. “W-Why did you kiss me?” You placed a hand on your cheek the other was still locked with Adrian’s.
“Isn’t that was you wanted?” He asked innocently. Was he going too fast? What were you going to do when you grabbed his chin? The purpose surely had to be to kiss him, right?
Now he was overthinking it.
“Yes, I wanted it but…I’m just an ordinary woman. You’re the son of Dracula and a kind human woman.” You chuckled at how gapped you were compared to him.
“You’re more than just an ordinary woman. You are also kind. Just like my mother. You’ve given me companionship since we were young and you are the most beautiful person I’ve ever met.” He kissed sweetly once again.
You were amazed.
“There was also something I wanted to give you.” You didn’t notice but he had been concealing a small box. “Oh, what is it?” You asked, politely. Using your vampire speed, you reached for it. It was far so you were basically laying across his lap now.
Turns out your speed was a lot faster than his. You examined the box and he quickly took it from you.
“It’s a gift, (y/n). You’re supposed to let me give it to you.” his voice and expression were soft but he was mildly annoyed by your impatient behavior, for it went off script from how he rehearsed this would go in his head.
“Okay then. Give it to me!” You smiled, kindly, letting him do his thing.
Alucard found your playful nature refreshing and with a smile, he revealed what was in the box.
It was a necklace.
It was the shape of a moon with diamonds engraved all around it. Hanging from the top was a bigger diamond and the centerpiece was a rose that was attached and a smaller diamond in the middle of it.
“W-Wow, Adrian. It’s so pretty.” You reached out for it but he moved his hand away.
“I would like to put it on you.”
“Oh, okay!”
You sat upright as he took the small piece of jewelry and opened the clasp. He draped it around your neck before doing a gesture with his hands.
You felt your cold cheeks heat up with delight at the situation. Does this mean you two were actually…together now?
It hadn’t been long. Maybe more than a half a year. You had spent more of your days with Alucard. He had special clothes for you made with his father’s research so that you could go out with him in the sunlight.
The attire was an adorable oversized Victorian bonnet, black gloves that went past your elbows and up your arm. You also had a black corset dress that covered any exposed skin from your lower body and lastly, you had heeled boots.
It was his best idea for being able to take you out when humans were active. He would never take you too far, though, he knew better than that.
At night, the two of you would fly around together and enjoy the sight of the moon. It was so romantic. You never knew what love was like until Alucard…no, just Adrian.
Your happiness was short-lived.
Adrian’s father returned and with that, a new world order had occurred. You were waiting for Adrian in your room to go out as planned one night but he never showed. You wondered what was taking him so long and went to investigate.
The sound of yelling, things crashing, and breaking is what led you to the scene. Not only was it devastating but it was scary. It made you extremely anxious and sad.
Adrian’s chest was cut open and the only other person there was Dracula.
“L-Lord Dracula….” You placed your hand over your mouth, unable to take your eyes off of what he had done to Adrian. “What’s going on…?”
“My wife is dead. Your mother is dead. Burned at the stake by humans.”
Your eyes widened. “What…?” You then looked over to Adrian who was still hurting, stabilizing himself with heavy breathing. You ran over to him and gave him support.
“I’m sorry.” That was all he has said. You didn’t understand. No one was explaining anything.
“I am going to rid the world of humankind and make them pay for what they’ve done.”
You didn’t want this, neither did Adrian. You assumed that this is why he was attacked. For trying to help him, Dracula punished you too.
You may have had the powers of Dracula because of his blood but you were still no match for the original. You were put into a comatose state and after he rid himself of Adrian, he unleashed demons onto the unsuspecting humans.
When Adrian was banished, you were kept in his room almost like a prisoner. He hired forge masters who made night creatures that would guard the outside.
It wasn’t pleasant at all. They starved you, just giving you enough blood to keep you alive. Perhaps, you could be used to lure out Alucard and give him a reason to come back to the castle.
Yeah, that’s how Dracula thought of it. He knew about the romantic interactions. It’s his son, of course. You were kept away from any form of contact and it was hell.
You missed Adrian. You missed freedom. You missed being able to feed freely. You cried almost every day. You hope and prayed that wherever Adrian was, he was okay and that he had the strength to save you.
You had almost given up hope when you heard rumors of Adrian. He recovered and was trying to find the castle. That was all you knew since you were very far and information didn’t travel well.
One night, it seemed like your prayers were answered. You felt the castle move again. You couldn’t tell whereas there were no windows.
It had only been less than 30 minutes later, you heard rumbling, crashing, and yelling, accompanied by loud grunts of pain. Fear set in as you heard the sounds growing closer.
You frantically looked around the room for a place to hide, but it was too late.
The moment the impact hit the wall, you closed your eyes, bracing yourself for any debris. Only a bit of it hit you hit there was no damage done.
You opened your eyes to see an injured Adrian on the ground and the smell of burning food. There was a fire as well.
You screamed, clawing at the bed beneath you, ruining it with your razor-sharp nails.
“(Y-Y/N)?” he called, recognizing your voice. He began to turn around to get a look at you but then Dracula approached.
At the sight of the two of you, he gasped. The vampire king’s eyes were wide. This whole time, he was fighting and killing his son. The woman of the child with who his son had built a connection was trapped like a prisoner in his room.
“It’s your home,” Dracula whispered
You didn’t know if you should brace Adrian or keep your distance. Dracula was left in a daze and you didn’t know what to do.
The room you’ve been in all this time was Adrian’s childhood room. It was almost poetic.
Dracula lamented about the situation, realizing he had become a monster and an enemy to those he loved. Adrian used this opportunity to kill his father. He slowly drove a wooden stake into his chest.
Horrified, you looked away, only able to hear the sounds of his death.
Two people, you had never seen before came in. It was a woman who looked like a monk and a man sporting a Belmont sigil. The man decapitated what was left of Dracula and the woman used some kind of magic to burn him. This caused smoke shaped like the soils of the dead to fill the room.
It was finally over.
These people were friends of Adrian. You were grateful for their help, although they were human.
You were still chained to the bed. His bed. You looked beaten, dirty, and scared out of your mind. Adrian used his sword to free you before holding you close.
It all seemed so unreal, even when making contact with him. “I thought you were dead.” Tears began to spill out of your eyes, wetting the shoulder of his coat.
“I…thought you were dead too.” He replied.
You pulled back from his embrace and kissed him. Adrian kissed back as he began to cry as well. He was always so emotional. Especially, for you. There was never a moment where he didn’t think about you.
Shortly, you heard someone clear their throat. It was the Belmont man. He and the woman he was with looked a bit out of place.
“I’m sorry.” You apologized. The sudden public display of affection may have thrown them off. “I’m guessing that Adrian didn’t tell you about me?” You asked, sheepishly as Adrian pulled you to your feet with him.
“Oh no! He has.” The woman said before she raised her hands in defense, smiling in a weird way while avoiding eye contact.
“Like…a lot, maybe.” The Belmont man looked off to the side, rubbing the nape of his neck.
“Oh?” You blushed before looking over at Adrian who was just kinda…there.
“You were my first love so…I thought I would just…” Adrian trailed off when you rested a hand on his cheek. He was shocked but leaned into it soon after. “You’re just as adorable as I remember.” You remarked.
The sun began to rise and you helped yourself to your normal clothes, the sun protective ones. Then you were finally able to get to know the ones Adrian had been traveling with.
The woman wearing monk’s clothing was named Sypha. She’s from a traveling caravan. The man was Trevor Belmont. You thought he was some brute who had stolen the Belmont clothing just to wear. Good thing you didn’t say anything!
“Wow. I was told there weren’t any Belmonts left.” You smiled happily. “The demise of Dracula wouldn’t have been possible without a group like this. You’re all unlikely heroes and I’m grateful that although I am a vampire, you spare me.” You bowed to them.
It was Trevor that made a backhanded comment about if they had tried to kill you then Adrian would become the next Dracula!
Your new life with Adrian was quiet and relatively normal for the most part. The castle was big and empty. Too big for just two. He wanted to talk to you about a child but you were severely weakened from purposely being starved by Dracula, so out of respect, he kept it to himself.
During the day, he would go out and gather food for himself. He was still part human after all. He would bring back potion bottles filled with blood for you to feast on so that you wouldn’t have to go out as often before you were ready.
You could tell that missed those people. He considered them friends. He asked you to teach him how to make small dolls and you obliged, of course! How could you say no to such an innocent request? The dolls you had worked with him to make resembled those people you had seen. You didn’t want to judge so you just figured that they could be gifts if you ever saw them again!
Until one day you heard him…talking to them?!
You had been trying to navigate the house during the day, jumping from shadow to shadow to find Adrian because you had just missed him and wanted to see him early in the morning.
The way he was able to mimic Sypha and Trevor’s accents and dialect was really impressive but also alarming.
“A-Adrian?” You wanted to enter the kitchen but the sun was shining too bright. “(y/n)? I-I, um…”
“Are you talking to yourself, dear?” You asked from afar. The man fell silent, embarrassed at his display of being a tiny bit unhinged from his adventures. “And why are you using such vulgar language?”
“Oh my god…I am losing my mind.”
You didn’t know if you should laugh at his antics or be sad. The two of you had such lost time together. He grew and changed so much while you were a prisoner. Weren’t you supposed to be the one losing your mind, though?
It had only been a month. You were still recovering from your situation but maybe you could do something to help his bitter loneliness.

Reading time (Alucard x reader)
Tumblr media
As the child of a stone mason education had not been high on your father’s priority list for you. However, once hell had been unleashed upon the earth you were thankful for the physical skills you had learned. Your family had been caught up and killed in the first attack on Targoviste. Fearing Dracula's wrath, you had not attended the Archbishop's festival celebrating the death of the dhampir's wife. Instead, you had hidden in the sewers to avoid Dracula's wrath. You had tried to convince your parents to come with you, but your father had foolishly believed the church would protect you all. It had not and soon you were travelling alone on the road, desperately trying to survive.
In your search to replenish your dwindling supplies you had come across Gresit and the Speaker dilemma. You admired their talent for memorizing oral histories but found it foolish that they were willing to risk their own deaths to help those who blamed them for Dracula's wrath. Despite your vocal opinions on their residing in a town that hated them, they had given you a hot meal and a safe place to shelter. You had soon become acquainted with the thirteen Speakers, with Sypha, the elder's granddaughter, telling you legends of a Sleeping Soldier. A mere day later you found yourself foolishly tagging along on her quest to wake him. It was not long into your search that a bright flash of light filled your vision, and the world began to fade to obscurity.
The next thing you knew you were coming to next to Sypha with a strange man standing above you. To your shock he revealed himself as Trevor Belmont, the last male heir of the House of Belmont. You were not sure if it was shock of being in the presence of nobility or the stench of beer and sweat that made you wary of the man. Despite your reservations you allowed him to lead the two of you back to the Speaker's residence.
After the saga with the Church and the villagers trying to burn the Speakers to death as 'penance' for their 'role' in releasing the night creatures upon Wallachia, you had fallen through the ruins into a strange metal and magic world. Trevor was instantly suspicious that the three of you had landed in Dracula's castle, but you were not so convinced. Why on earth would Dracula's lair be under Gresit of all places? Trevor's fears had further been exacerbated when a gorgeous golden-haired man had raised from a coffin in the room you had reached.
You had instantly been taken by the dhampir, though slightly hesitant. You had only ever heard nightmarish myths about dhampir so meeting one in the flesh was as frightening as it was exciting. Your fears had been heightened when the Sleeping Soldier had almost killed Trevor. However, after some brief introductions and planning, the four of you had teamed up to defeat Dracula.
As your quad travelled Wallachia in search of Dracula's castle you had begun to get to know Alucard. He was a surprisingly kind and mellow man, though slightly standoffish. Adrian went out of his way to check on how you were doing and always looked out for you when facing off against night creatures. Your upbringing as the child of a stone mason had left you unprepared for fighting. You were much more skilled when it came to trapping and wildlife knowledge. In the beginning of the journey this had you feeling like a useless burden but as the four of you travelled on, your knowledge proved invaluable. Supplies came and went but your knowledge of edible plants and trapping skills kept your bellies full. The trio were thankful for your skills and knowledge. Evenings spent in front of the fire bonded you all closer, until finally you made it to the Belmont estate.
The Belmont Estate once again left you feeling useless. Your lack of reading ability hindered your usefulness to the mission, though Trevor was not much more helpful. Sypha searched through the records while Adrian mulled around looking for magical objects that may aide them. You made yourself busy cleaning up debris from when the Estate had burned down.
On one occasion as you stood admiring the shelves of books you had put back Alucard spoke from behind you, "I don't mean to be rude, but it seems that you've put the books in the wrong order." His voice startled you, you had not heard him approach from behind. "Oh Alucard, you scared me. I didn't hear you coming" you laughed lightly, "it probably would be a good idea to put them in the order of the catalogue. I would have if I could read." Alucard was unsurprised by your admission, outside of the speakers, church, or nobility there were not many who were taught to read.
"Would you like to learn?" he simply offered as he began to help you rearrange the books. The offer took you off guard. "You wouldn't mind" you questioned quietly. "We can start off slowly with the basics. Do you know the alphabet?" Alucard inquired. His eyes were kind, and you knew that no matter what you answered he would not judge you. "No. Nobody ever taught me" you admitted. Nodding he took in what you had said and began to think about the best way to begin.
"Wait here. I'll go look in the catalogue to see if there is anything simple that we can begin with" Adrian ordered and with that he retreated towards the center of the library. Leaning up against the shelf you rested your head against it, closed your eyes, and took a deep breath. Your hunger to learn to read was finally going to be fed. Footsteps, although light, disrupted your excited thoughts of learning. Alucard had returned with a few books tucked under his arm.
The two of you found a comfortable reading area in a small nook. You bundled up next to Alucard as he began to outline letters and phonics to you. You appreciated his efforts to teach you, nobody had ever done you such a kindness. Alucard flourished as a teacher, he was compassionate and patient whenever you struggled. If you got frustrated, then he would calm you with gentle words of reason. After several days of learning while you waited upon Sypha, your ability to read slowly began to prosper until you were beginning to read simple literature. Adrian was proud of you and openly celebrated every small step that you made. It was reassuring and only fueled your growing feelings for him.
After the hard-fought defeat of Dracula, you had decided to remain behind at the castle with him. Watching the fading outline of Trevor and Sypha's, Adrian broke the silence. "Why didn't you go with them." Bashfully, you began to rub the back of your neck as your brain began to string together your response. "How could I leave you here all on your lonesome. After all you've done for me the least, I could do is keep you company for a bit. I know you'd miss me" you teased, "Besides, I would miss our reading sessions too much." Adrian snorted, but a faint blush crept up his neck and splayed across his cheeks. "Well, we better get back to it then hadn't we."

Yandere!Alucard x Reader Headcanons
💛 Adrian Farenheit Tepes is… Afraid of love. He's afraid of what it can push someone to do - desperation, murder… Genocide, even. He's afraid of how he loves even more so. He loves like his father did - Wholly, deeply, and completely. He's afraid of becoming like his father. So, he locks himself away, content with living the rest of eternity all alone, if it meant that no one had to fall victim to his affections.
🗡 But, then, of course, someone just had to come skulking about, their curiosity peaked by the mysterious, old castle looming over their town. The legend goes that it had just mysteriously appeared one day, as if by magic. How could you not have gone exploring? Who knows what secrets such an ancient place held?... Well, besides a bunch of squatters using it as shelter. And, honestly, it was a wonder why no one had come to secure the place and reopen it as some sort of tourist attraction. You soon discovered the answer in the castle's sole occupant, Adrian.
💛 His sudden appearance had startled you, but only for a moment. The man before you hardly seemed like a squatter - his hair was a brilliant platinum blond, flowing past his shoulders, and he was dressed up in slacks and an old-fashioned poet's shirt. His golden eyes pierced into you, almost staring straight through you and into your soul. He introduced himself to you, explaining that he had inherited the castle from his family, before politely suggesting you to take your leave. But, by now your curiosity had piqued even more. Who, exactly, was the strange man? Who was his family and where had they all gone? Why had you never seen him before? And you asked him as such, even as you followed him to the castle's entrance. Adrian replied through mumbled half-answers, trying to have you take your leave as gently as he could. You invited him into town, which he declined. Even as your hopes were dashed, you told him that you hoped to see him again, before taking your leave. You couldn't see how Adrian kept his eyes locked on your form even as you disappeared past the horizon.
🗡 You find yourself visiting the mysterious man in his strange castle again. But what was even stranger was that he let you in, allowing you to stay and keep him company for lengths of a time. You aso questions, and find out more about Adrien as time goes on and, in return, he learns about you. His father was a polymath and his mother a doctor, he was an expert swordfighter, he enjoyed reading, he was a bit of a recluse, and slept more than he really should. He learned a bit about your past, your family, your likes and interests. You found yourself visiting more and more, genuinely growing to care for Adrien. And he felt the same for you. And it terrified him.
💛 Adrien had been so lonely for so long, and how dearly he had missed the few people in his life. How long had he lived like this, in a castle filled with nothing but ghosts? Ghosts of the past, and the ghost of the man he used to be. But, then there was you - melodic harmonies that broke through silence, light that filled darkness, life after death. He had tried to send you off, but part of him so dearly craved contact, conversation, intimacy… So maybe, unconsciously, he made himself appear mysterious, a puzzle aching to be solved, to draw you back in. And oh, how overjoyed he was when you returned to him. Again. And again. And again. Adrien found himself growing attached to you, the mortal that stole his heart so easily, that left him aching for you - your voice, your touch, your company. And as time went on, Adrien found his restraint crumbling.
🗡 Because, so badly, did he want to take you and keep you within the confines of his castle. Never again would you and he be alone. He'd give you all your heart desired and more. Hr grit his teeth momentarily, once again feeling the urge to sink his fangs into something, imagining sinking them into your flesh, tasting your blood. How would you taste - sweet? Savory? He licked his lips. When you next visit, and he knew it'd be soon, Adrien's not sure he'd be able to control his urges. Because, as much as he was scared of becoming the monster his father became, he was sick of the endless loneliness he had forced himself to endure. He… He couldn't wait to partake in you, then have you drink his blood. He'd never lose anyone he loved ever again. He'd never be lonely again, and neither would you… Oh, how he couldn't wait to claim you as his own...

Could you write castlevaina alucard becoming obsessed with chos dampire daughter who want him dead cause he killed her mother
Thank you so much for the request! I didn't quite understand what you meant by "chos dampire" so I chose to interpret that as a dhampr reader. Please enjoy the story!
Subject: Castlevania, Adrien Alucard Tepes
Title: Unfulfilled Revenge (fem reader)
Trigger Warning: Death mention, Kidnapping, blood mention, corpses
Your mother had left home days ago in search of food. She was a vampire and night was supposed to the time she was the safest, but she had also warned you there were vampires more monstrous than demons. Dracula had nearly destroyed all of vampire-kind with his desire for death, after all. In your village where you pretended to live alone and never smiled, you were happy with your mother. And the monster in the castle had killed her.
You knew he had killed her. That monster in the castle had to have killed her, no other predators wandered those woods. Everyone knew the rumors about the monster in the woods. No one dared go that far anymore; after all, monsters had a habit of wanting to stay alone no matter what the cost.
How dare he tear your happy family apart. It was bad enough your father had been killed by humans who had believed he'd consummated with the undead, but now your mother had been killed trying to keep you fed. Revenge would be yours, no matter what.
Alone, you'd left home in the middle of the day to hunt the beast.
Finding the castle wasn't difficult; it was enormous and smelled like death and blood. It urged your own thirst, but you didn't drink blood often. Besides, nothing tasted worse than blood from a corpse. In front of the castle were bodies, staked through with horrific accuracy. Several of them were nothing more than skeletons, but you recognized your mother's ashes, after all, your father had bought that misshapen pearl necklace. The only thing left of her in her ashes.
He really had killed her. Your hand clenched the knife in your hand.
You marched up the stairs of the castle and pulled its doors open. Someone was nearby, but placing them was difficult. Being half-vampire granted you some amazing sensory abilities, but whatever this monster seemed to know how to hide from other monsters. "Show yourself, coward!"
"I wasn't hiding."
You nearly jumped out of your skin. His voice was behind you. You turned around and nearly dropped your jaw. There was no way this sorrow-eyed, handsome, dhampr killed all those people outside. He looked far too sad to even think about eating. But there was no one else here who capable of such a feat - the two of you were alone, you could sense that much. "I've come to kill you."
Those sorrowed eyes narrowed. From one step to the next, he went from forlorn to murderous. "And what might I have done to earn your wrath?" He didn't even know his crimes? "The bodies outside! You killed my mother!"
His head cocked to the side, that long honey-blond hair spilling over his shoulders. The least he could was try to look like a monster. Don't look so pitiable. "Your mother.'' He grew quiet. "I understand. That loss is not one you can recover from easily, but I have to inform you that I have no desire to die."
How dare he pretend like he knew what it felt like to lose your only parent. "Good," you snarled, "it wouldn't mean anything if you did." You rushed forward, knife out, but the dhampr was a blur. He moved faster than you could see. Dammit! You were also a dhampr, but your mother hadn't trained you fight, only to survive. "Die you bastard!"
Your fist came down on his chest, but you didn't feel resistance against the knife. You blinked. It was gone. Your knife was gone. You pulled back, but he grabbed your wrist. "This is the closest anyone has been to me in a very long time." The way he was looking at you... A monster shouldn't look so lonely, so needy, like that.
"Let me go!" You struggled against his grip, but his other arm snaked around your waist, pressing your body flush against his. Cultivated muscle, years of training and discipline. Killing him as you were would be impossible. But you had to try. Your mother was all you had left.
"You're like me. Your blood can't satisfy me, so what is it about you that's getting to me?" His face nuzzled into your neck, his breath hot on your skin. An enormous creak shrieked behind you - the front door was closing. It slammed shut, the gears locking into place. "You're going to stay here until I find out why."

Alucard x reader-Distant- part 2
Tumblr media
Summary- It seems like there’s more to Alucard’s distance, but ultimately it will make or break the relationship.
You begrudgingly awaken on a bed; your bed. For several minutes, you tried to recall what happened, but it was difficult to focus with the pain throbbing on the back of your head. It feels like you’ve been knocked out for awhile, but you just couldn’t remember what occurred prior.
Your thoughts were interrupted when you heard footsteps coming towards your room. It was Alucard, and he was carrying some food and medicine. His worried expression made you feel slightly nauseous. He gave you the plate full of food and sat at the end of your bed.
“How are you holding up, y/n?” Alucard softly asked.
“Feeling confused, what happened?”
Alucard momentarily hesitates to say anything, but eventually caved in.
“You fell down the stairs.”
“Oh, yeah.” Your memories begin to flow, but then you remember the reason behind the painful incident. You knew you had to act fast, seeing this is the only time Alucard is willing to talk to you.
“Why have you been so.. so distant lately?”
Alucard froze, clearly not expecting you to say that. He doesn’t waste time regaining his former cold expression, however.
“Y/n... I’m genuinely sorry. I’ve been wasting your time. I truly cherish the time we’ve spent together. You were the only one that helped me through that depression after I killed my father. But, I just can’t anymore.”
Now you’re really confused. What does he mean?
“Alucard, you can’t what?”
“We can’t be together anymore, y/n. I’ve come to the bitter realization that my lifespan will be far greater than yours. I don’t want to turn you into some cold vampire, but I can’t bear the thought of losing you while I still live. I won’t be able to handle losing another love one.” Alucard has completely turned away from you, but even then you can see his body tense up and hear him holding back his tears.
Your mouth opened, trying to protest what Alucard said. But, your throat was dry and you realized the your eyes began to swell up with tears. What he said was true, but this can’t be the end. It just can’t be

Request: The castlevaina alucard falling in love with and becoming obsessed ( yandere) with chos dampire daughter reader who hate him for killing her mother?
Word Count: 480 words
Page Count: 1.5 pages
A.N. Yall really be liking these yandere stuff lmao but SAME its so fun to write :)
        Hatred is a strong emotion.
And yet, it was so fickle, but that seemed to be the case only for humans.
But, with your mixed blood, it could last longer. Become something stronger. Change things.
"Silver hurts, no? Or does it depend on the dhampir?" Alucards voice had sounded muffled, and pounded itself in your head, the long chains locked on your ankles. The silk decorating the bed was pleasant on the skin, a sharp contrast with the burning ache the silvers purity had on your damned skin.
"It depends, should you go fuck yourself or should I not give a shit on your inquiries?" You snapped, sitting up, your teeth grit only to expose your fangs. His chuckle moved from one side of the room to the other, he was doing something, but you didn't care. Your fury held you silent as you tried to think. You wanted to hit him, bite his throat out, claw those piss yellow eyes out. He took your mother from you and he now has taken your dignity.
        "Someone feels entitled." He mused.
"You killed my mother, take me hostage for your fetish pleasure, and I'm the entitled one?" You nearly screeched.
"You came all the way from Japan to kill me, doesn't it seem petty? Oh, well, at least it has brought you to me."
        "Petty? Oh, gods, you're insane!"
He only ignored you, your body filled with rage and heat, if only you could use your magics.
But the damn man had enchanted the restraints! It was too thought out, too perfect. How had he managed to get the silver on you? It should have burned him, made him writhe in pain, and yet on you they've been on for so long the pain seemed irrelevant. Maybe it was the adrenaline of the situation, maybe because your mind was focused on killing the demon in front of you, maybe it was just the gods playing a cruel joke on you.
The sun was starting to trickle into the room, freshly cleaned while you had been unconscious, clothing now piled and hung into their respective drawers and closet. You were going to be here for a long time, you managed to think, the sigils that weakened your type of magics specifically littered the room. The blood and food he would bring you was filled with herbs and mixtures made to weaken vampires, the dosage was the same though.
        And you were building tolerance.
But for him? Your temper was boiling, quickly, and your mind was planning.
Soon, you'll outgrow the poisons due to his mistakes.
And it'll be his mistakes that will kill him.
Your rage, your dignity, the possibility to avenge your mother will kill him.

The wind blew harshly against the castles secured windows, whistling and whirling it's tune of madness while the rain continued on, the soft pops of the fire would quickly be drowned out before coming back into your range of hearing. You laid on the large velvet couch, your head hanging from the armrest, a large space was left from where your lower back met the cushions. You arched your back and heard a large series of pops from your spine, with a sigh of relief, you heard Alucard come into the room.
"You're like a kitten." He mused, placing the book in his hand in the table in front of your couch, going over and sitting next to your legs. His hand slipped up your dress and rubbed your leg, patting your knee, he removed his hand and opened your legs- crawling over you and essentially flopping onto you, his face buried into your chest.
"Hugh-!" The air left your lungs quickly, a strangled laugh followed right after, and after a few seconds you caught your breath again. With hands coming up to his hair, you looked down at the dhampir, closing your eyes after seeing him calm down considerably from his previously tense form.
"Long day?" You asked, playing with the honey locks as you've done before on many, many nights.
"Long life." His voice was muffled.
"Huh. Well. You can rest now. I'm here."

It had been months since the decaying corpses in the front of the castle had dissipated into nothing but bone, two lone bodies forever impaled next to one another, a reminder and a warning. A reminder of the cruelties humanity has birthed and a warning to those who wish to follow in their footsteps- leading many astray from the castle and it's inhabitant, in fear of Dracula's return or the eternal echo of his being being trapped to roam the halls, impaling those who he deems unworthy.
Giggles can he heard echoing through the castle, though soft, they're there. A young woman laughs, a baby's innocent babbles that light up a room are there too, and a man- his chuckles only deepened as they continued. Inside, the woman ran through the castle, her giggles only fueled the others, and a young child no older than one or two years of age rode on the shoulders of the honey-eyed man.
The two came into his life during the darkest moments, the young woman named [ Y/n ] ignored the warning left on his land, running up to the door and banging on it with the hilt of a whip- her baby wailing as fear over took her. Opened his castle to her, and as he watched the doors close, his eyes met those of a woman whose soul was filled with venom that watched from the treeline. He had helped you once he noticed the pool of blood surrounding you, assisting you stand as he noticed dizziness starting to over take you, mindful of the child who's cries now started to calm.
Large slashes crossed her back, her wrists were raw and her legs were scarred. The infant, who matched your [ S/c ] tone, yet held the deepest brown eyes looked to him, as if begging Alucard to help them.
He was careful around both of them, helping [ Y/n ] as she healed and searched the land for the other woman he saw, but never found a trace of her yet. As [ Y/n ] started to heal, he would keep her company while she started to move around more and more, often speaking with her while she fed her son- making Alucard flush slightly at how she seemed to reject modesty and be fairly comfortable with exposing a moment like this to him. He found out that her sons name was Damien and was the product of a romance with her mistress's son, who she had been working for as a maid, and once the woman found out she wasn't all too pleased- hence the slashes across her back and arms, and the whip she managed to grab along with her child before she ran.
*****
"And that is how I managed to run, all the way here, I..." She seemed to trail off, looking down at her son who continued to suckle, uncaring of anything and only longing for the nurturing hand his mother gave, before her eyes trailed up to Alucards, a small frown forming on her face.
"I am sorry for the trouble I caused. Once I am healed, I can leave immediately, or perhaps work for you in return?" She asked, staring into the amazed pools of honey once again, confused why he looked almost appalled at the idea.
"That would never be necessary. You can stay as you please, I- I myself have grown fond of you, and the little one of course. Charming boy, really." He mused, nodding his head to Damien who couldn't be all but happier.
        "Then maybe we should."
*****
Alucard had come back inside the castle, a deer in his arms as blood was scattered across the shirt he wore, glistening on his face as well, dripping from his chin and splattered on the rest of his face. You were still sleeping soundly in the room, from what he could hear, which was pleasant for him. He could make you and the baby dinner without you seeing the mess he had made. A bit too bloody than he would have liked you to see. Waking up to a fabulous dinner hadn't been on your mind, though, Alucard had a habit of spoiling you.
You had grown even closer with Alucard- no, Adrien since then, who seemed to fall deeper in love with you as the day went by. He had told you stories of his childhood, his friends, his betrayal, and yet instead of being fearful in anyway- you only listened and empathized with him, assuring him that you would stay with him for as long as the universe allowed you to.
*****
"I never thought I'd understand how my father felt," He started one night, Damien sleeping in the new cradle Alucard himself had made in the room down the hall, his head on your chest while you played with his hair.
"But, once you came here, I didn't know what to think." You chuckled at his words, feeling him smile against your skin, his deep chuckle shaking you both as his arms tightened around you.
"You spoke with me, listened to me, cared for me when I needed it." He continued, enjoying your nails scratching his scalp, the safest feeling hes felt in quite a while.
        "Thank you."
*****
Running down the hall with a child on his person wasn't what he thought he'd be doing months ago, chasing the woman of his affections with a smile on his face, hearing their laughter made his heart and head fill with light joy. Just as you turned the corner, he reached an arm out and wrapped it around your waist, Damiens body faltering slightly before he grabbed onto Alucard again.
"Gotcha." His face fell onto one shoulder, your son falling onto the other, moving your hands you placed it on your boys heads.
"I guess you did." You continued, before moving to take Damien, then laying your head on his chest.
"Well, I don't plan on letting go, so you're both trapped with me." He laughed lightly, pulling you with him to the hall, thinking now would be a good time to take you both on a walk outside.
"I think I'd be okay with that." You laughed, making your way out onto the back of the castle, something you noticed that had been happening more often than not, then again you'd rather not have Damien see the remnants of Taka and Sumi. Though they weren't lonely, with the newest editions of your old mistress and her own children who aided her in harming you, it seemed even in death Taka and Sumi had company on the land as well- everyone was happy! Alucard hummed at those words, his heart beating faster, he knew you meant it innocently, but he couldn't help it.
He wanted you here. You and Damien. You're both his to care for. To take care of him. To love. And to love him back.
You're both his. And he is yours.
For as long as you remained. Though, he knew of your mortality, he wished to change that soon, to keep you and your memories with him for the rest of eternity. Damien would surely follow, though he'd wait until he was a bit older, wishing to enjoy his childhood and help him grow into a fine young man. He'd of course have both of your permission, but he knew you'd follow his advice and Damien would do what his father said, so the only issue that came to his mind would have been the sunlight.
He could deal with that later though, find a witch or some magician that could cultivate a ring or two, to help you both walk with him in the sun. Perhaps a wedding ring? That would be a lovely gift, he thought, a wedding ring that would keep you with him. Maybe, he could commission a ring with the Belmont crest for Damien to wear, keep him safe from any other hunters who might have their suspicions.
"Adrien?" Your voice had pulled him from his thoughts, not noticing you and Damien at the river already, the young boy splashing around happily while you stayed near the edge- keeping him from getting in too deep.
"Yes?" He blinked, turning quickly to you, and striding over.
"Did you hear what I said?" Your voice was soft, scanning him.
"Ah. I'm sorry. I was just, enjoying the moment, thinking about how lucky I am. What was it again?" His arms tightened around your waist, placing his chin on your head, taking a deep breath.
"I said... I love you. I really do. You're the only one- who can make me feel this way. Safe. Happy. Loved. It's you." The warmest smile came to your face as you felt his heart beat quicken, your hands on his arms as you looked down with a distinct flush on your face, Damien coming up to hug both of your legs as well.
He couldn't believe it, it was real, you loved him. You said it. You meant it. You want to be his as much as he wants to be yours, you want to stay with him, you want to love him deeply. He felt so relieved, that his affections were returned, and he picked up Damien and kissing his head before his lips came down onto yours.
"And I love you too." You smiled against his lips, hearing his love for you back made you swoon, unknowing of the gentle manipulation of your heart that tugged you further into his world.
        Something you gladly welcomed.

Request: Adrian Ţepeş' Wife Being Mistaken for a Witch and Burned at the Stake
Tumblr media
A/N: here you go @stay-hydrated-pls-ty I hope you enjoy it
Adrian watched as his wife's remains smoldered away, wood and bone turning to ash and splinters. While his father was away travelling, he had been left in charge of the castle. Foolishly he had agreed to her living in Targoviste with his mother, learning the science to become a doctor too. This had proved a tragic mistake; he could have taught his wife the science that his mother knew. Perhaps not quite as good but decently. The rest could have been learned from his father later when he returned. His wife had argued that it would be more practical to learn on the job, shadowing his mother would provide extra experience.
This had been fine until the medicine women had been put out of business by the two Ţepeş women. From then on, she had run to the church claiming that the two were witches who had consorted with Satan to bring death and destruction upon the world. The bishop had declared the two were to be investigated for your crimes and then burned at the stake as all witches were. After bidding goodbye to the last patient, the two of had seen, the church had forced past Lisa and into the back room where Alucard's wife was reading about medicine. The monks had smashed everything, lit the house on fire, and forced the two women out to the church to face punishment for their crimes of 'witchcraft.'
Lisa and his wife had begged for mercy, citing that what they were practicing was simply science lost to time and not witchcraft. Yet their pleas had fallen upon deaf ears. Each had been tied up on a pre-made pyre as the bishop sentenced them to death, condemning them to hell with all of Satan's other creatures and minions. A crowd of the very people that they had helped gathered and began to shout curses at the women, damning them for eternity. Then it had begun.
Lisa had cried out for her husband to be merciful to the village folk while Adrian's wife had simply sobbed as the flames licked closer at her. Sobs soon turned into screams of agony as the women slowly burned to death, their husbands oblivious to their fate. Adrian had been informed of his wife’s death by his father who had returned to the castle in a bitter and uncontrolled rage. Sadness swallowed the young dhampir as he thought of the horrid fate that the two of you had suffered and he rushed to the church.
Adrian was not prepared for what he saw. Two pyres were burnt completely to the ground outside of the building. Wood and ash mixing on the ground and being carried off by the wind. Adrian sunk to his knees and sobbed as he took a handful of ash from each pyre and held it close to him. His vibrant and loving mother, who had nurtured and cared for him his whole life gone. His wife, young in years, robbed from him and life itself - having only experienced a short span of it when she should have spent eternity by his side. He would never see her again, never hold her, never caress your cheek as he told his wife how much he loved her. Gone. He could not even give her a proper burial he solemnly thought as the ash and bone fragments slipped through his fingers. Yet the man knew that he could not linger and mourn. He would have to push his grief from his mind and prevent his father from dooming humanity as he had promised the citizens of Targoviste.

Request: Abandonment and Love
Tumblr media
Request description: Trevor and Sypha come back from their journey to the castle and invite Alucard into their relationship, but he has moved on. Alucard is not interested in picking up where they left off, especially now that he was found somebody who loves and respects him.
A/N: I use the names Alucard and Adrian interchangeably throughout this fic
Loneliness, that was all Alucard had felt for months after Sypha and Trevor had abandoned him to continue on their own journey together. It had been obvious since he had first met the duo that there had been an attraction between them. Adrian had tried to warn Sypha to stay away from the man, sensing a reckless darkness in him, and yet she had not listened. The two had strayed closer and closer together while Adrian had watched from the side-line, a lonely man clouded by grief that went ignored by his newfound friends.
There were moments when the duo lavished him in attention, but they were few and far between. A snide remark or joke from Trevor, a comforting smile and squeeze on the shoulder from Sypha. Not to mention the obvious sexual tension that hung in the air during these interactions…and yet they had turned away from him. Leaving him to stew in his grief and madness the two had gone off to travel Wallachia.
During this time Alucard had been left to his own thoughts; grief about his mother’s untimely death, anger at his father for unleashing hoards upon the earth and almost killing his own son, and then more grief over being the one to end his own father’s life. The darkness had become an all-consuming pit inside of him and every day he fell deeper and deeper into it. The first glint of hope for companionship was when Sumi and Taka had appeared at the castle seeking aide. However, their betrayal had further shattered Adrian.
It was not until Greta had entered his life that Adrian felt that the pieces of his life were coming back together. Greta did not try to force him to open up to her nor did she expect anything from him the way that the preceding duos had. Instead, Greta had wormed her way into his heart, bantering with him and revealing her thoughts, emotions, and secrets when the time called for it. Inbetween leading and fortifying the village the two had become romantically involved, often stealing sweet moments away in the woods away from prying eyes.
Adrian had also made friends among the villagers, especially with the village orphans who were desperate for his attention. They had begun to look at him like a father and Adrian could not help but feel touched by that. He took pleasure in making them giggle, telling them stories, and patching up their wounds when they hurt themselves. Finally, the dhampir had begun to find his place in the world once again.
However, when Trevor and Sypha turned up back at the castle and tried to pick up where they had left off it had unsettled Adrian. He had greeted them curtly but had remained distant ever since, reluctant to become get too close again. Adrian's feelings did not change even when they approached him one night in his office inviting him into their relationship.
Once upon a time he would have been open to the idea but after they had abandoned Adrian and then barged their way back into his life expecting the world from him, he could not accept the offer. The damage ran far too deep by then. Greta and the other villagers had helped him to see that he deserved better, that he deserved to be loved. Adrian was not a toy that could be played with and discarded whenever one was bored.
So, deciding that this needed to be snuffed out here and now, Adrian had made his feelings to the Sypha and Trevor truly clear. He did not want to hurt them, even after everything they had put him through, and he did not resent them. Simply put Alucard wanted to create some boundaries for the two so that he would not have his heart stepped all over again.
He genuinely cared for the duo and wanted to remain friends but needed time to heal from the damage their abandonment had caused (on top of his parents’ deaths + Sumi and Taka’s betrayal). Adrian made it crystal clear that he had Greta now too, a woman for whom he deeply cared. Trevor and Sypha were surprised by his assertions but mostly they were ashamed of how they had treated their companion. Respectfully they acknowledged his boundaries and bid him well, hoping that one day they could repair their friendship with the man.
