so i made some things….

the bag was made entirely from plastic shopping bags. it got 3rd mostly bc of how small it was, but im a little salty bc the 1st place was entered in the wrong category (Recycled Articles > Useful > Any Other, but it shouldve been in Useful > Fabric) and a LOT salty bc the 2nd place was shouldve been in Recycled Articles > Decorative > Wood

the gloves were obviously a close race. first place had a better cast on edge (mine flares out) and the first place for the ““sleeveless sweaters”” was absolutely beautiful and intricate bc judith doesn’t fuck around

Ahmad Shah Massoud Rug

Baluchi rug from Afghanistan, dated 2005 [source], part of the "war rug" tradition, which began in the decade of Soviet occupation (1979-1989) and continues today. This rug features Ahmad Shah Massoud in prayer. Often called the Lion of the Panjshir, Massoud was the leader of the Shura-e Nazar, and is a war hero in Afghanistan, where he fought valiantly against the Soviets and attempted to create a common front to strengthen Afghanistan. Ultimately, the infighting between rival Mujahideen groups backed by Pakistan and Iran and the rise of the Taliban under Mullah Omar ended Massoud's efforts to unify Afghanistan.
